The next day, Ben began practicing the Clone Magic. It was the first Black Magic that he would learn, so he's very excited. He learned it first before Teleportation Magic because it would be more useful later.
By learning it first, he would be able to make clones to learn a few things at once. After creating clones, Ben would be able to scan the books while learning Teleportation Magic too. It was more effective than learning Teleportation Magic first.
He scanned the book about Clone Magic. There's only 1 book about it, so it didn't take long for him to finish scanning it. A.I Chip transferred the book's content to Ben's brain and he knew every page of the book in an instant.
Ben started to practice Clone Magic on the bottom floor. He focuses on his training and Bella understood what he was doing, so she didn't disturb him. She just played with her toys and read some picture books Ben bought for her.
Clone Magic was quite easy for Ben to learn. He can make 2 clones after a day of training. There were some mistakes in the beginning. He could only make 1 clone at first and it was transparent like a ghost.
But he could improve it fast with A.I Chip's help. Besides, he has a lot of knowledge about magic after reading many books. He also has a talent for magic, A.I Chip confirmed it.
Now he can make 2 good clones with different personalities. One clone has his wrath, while the other one had his gluttony. The personalities they had were rather unique. Neither of them got good personalities.
"I still have good personalities, right? Why don't they take after one of my good personalities?" Ben questioned out loud.
"Bastard! You don't want us to be here, huh?" The Wrath clone angrily asked.
"Hey, can you give me food?" The Gluttony clone asked.
A dark expression formed on Ben's face after he heard this and he is pissed off. They are his clones but they dare get angry and ask for food. He needs to put them in their place, so he beat them up easily and made them leave.
"We're sorry, boss!" The 2 clones apologized with bruises on their heads.
"Alright, I will call you tomorrow." Ben said.
"Yes!" The clones replied before he dispelled them.
After dispelling the clones, Ben ate with Bella and slept after that. He woke up the next day and used his Clone Magic. The 2 clones appeared again and Ben assigned them jobs.
"Angry guy, you practice Teleportation Magic. Hungry guy, you scan the books. I will practice Clone Magic again to make more of you." Ben instructed.
The 2 clones salute him and get to work immediately. Bella stayed with the real Ben and joined in practicing Clone Magic. She wanted to create a clone to be her playmate, so Ben taught it to her.
After a day, Ben successfully created another clone. This one had a greedy personality. Bella still can't make any clones, but she was able to make an imperfect clone that looked like a ghost. She's very happy after making that ghost-like clone, so Ben told her to keep practicing with it.
The Wrath clone successfully practiced Teleportation Magic, but he could only teleport a short distance. The Gluttony clone scanned 50 books today, which was a good thing.
Ben dispelled the 2 clones and all their memories return to him. Luckily, A.I Chip can filter the memories and just send the important things to Ben's brain. So he didn't need to process the memories again.
One week later, Ben successfully created a clone with a envious personality. Now he is sure that the clones' personalities are based on the 7 deadly sins. He doesn't know why they are like that, but that wasn't a problem as long as they did their jobs.
His Teleportation Magic had also improved. Now he can teleport to 500 meters away, but no further than that. Too bad he can't teleport to exit and enter the library because there's a defense mechanism for that.
But that wasn't a concern because they found a spare key for the library's main door. He didn't take it though, he only used it to make a duplicate. It would be bad if he took the real key with him.
Ben kept doing what he had been for the next few days. He trained Clone Magic and Wrath trained Teleportation Magic, while the other 3 clones scan the books. So now his scanning was 3 times faster and he can scan around 150 books a day.
But he can't make the 5th clone even when his supplies ran out when he entered the library 2 weeks ago. He didn't think about it because any magic will get harder to improve as their level got higher.
As for Bella, she could finally make a clone after Ben trained her intensely. Her clone had a strict personality, contrasting with her laid-back and playful personality. But her clone liked to be pampered by Ben like her real self.
Bella's clone also likes to play, so Bella can play with her every day. Aside from her strict personality, she was a carbon copy of Bella. It's like seeing Carla in Bella's body, so it was quite amusing.
Over these 2 weeks, Ben also scanned a lot of books. He had finished the Space, Time, White Arts and Black Arts magic books. There aren't a whole lot of them. But he didn't practice them yet and just stored the information in A.I Chip's database.
Now he and his clones scanned the magic books related to his elements. He prioritized what he wanted to use in the future. As for the others, he will scan them later.
Ben and Bella leave the library and head to Dawn City. They need to buy supplies and some other things there. They can always hunt for food in the forest, but there are things that can only be obtained in town like hygiene products.
He left the 4 clones in the library to continue their jobs. Ben wanted them to continue being productive, so he left them there. They don't need food or magic supplies, so they can keep working.
Even so, they can still feel hungry, especially Gluttony. So Ben told them to hunt for animals in the forest. They have half of Ben's power, so it was fine.
In the town, Ben purchased some things he and Bella needed. He also bought some entertainment for Bella because it would be boring while he practiced and scanned the books. Ben also uncovered some big news in town.
"Hmm? So the countries on Ishgar severed ties with the Alvarez Empire. A little too late considering what they did." Ben said as he read a newspaper.
"Bad guys?" Bella asked.
"Yeah, we severed our relationship with the bad guys. But this won't be the end. They will return one day to finish what they started. So we need to prepare for it and become stronger." Ben answered.
"Bella hit bad guys." Bella said as she punched the air with her small hands as she sat on Ben's shoulder.
"Of course you will defeat the bad guys. Bella is strong." Ben said while smiling and rubbing Bella's head.
Bella was happy and continued punching the air while Ben walked around the market. They return to the magic library after purchasing what they need. But a couple people stopped them as they walked through the forest.
"He he, you carry a lot of things, kid. They must be heavy, so why don't you give them to us? We will help you carry them." A middle-aged man said.
The other men laughed wickedly and prepare their weapons.
Bella sighs and shook her head with a pitiful expression.
"Unlucky bad guys." She said.
