After the 2 Phantom Lord mages left with his 'Lucy' clone, Ben stealthily took the real Lucy back to the Fairy Tail guild hall. He put her on a table and went back to the rooftop. Maybe there will be another attack from Phantom Lord, so he needed to stay vigilant.

Meanwhile, the Fairy Tail mages reached Phantom Lord's base in Oak Town. They barge in and attack the enemy mages there. The war has started and both sides clash.

Makarov left the members of Phantom Lord to his mages and went to confront Jose, Phantom Lord's guild master. He walks to the 2nd floor in a rage while displaying his immense magic power that's a lot higher than Ben's current magic power. This old man is one of the Ten Wizard Saints for a reason.

As he was walking, Makarov's magic power broke the floor, wall, windows, everything around him. His rage can be felt by the mages on the first floor, including the Phantom Lord mages. But none of them had time to worry about it and just focused on fighting the Fairy Tail mages.

Makarov finally reached the room Jose was in and demanded to know his reasons for attacking Fairy Tail. Jose didn't give a clear answer enraging Makarov. So the short old man used his magic to enlarge his hand and punched Jose.

But Jose was using Thought Projection, so Makarov's punch didn't injure him at all because it was a hologram. It makes Makarov angry, but then he was shocked when Jose projects the captured 'Lucy'.

However, his shock turned to confusion as 'Lucy' was laying lazily as if nothing is wrong. Jose also realized it and was confused as well. 'Lucy' rips the rope that tied her hands easily and starts to pick her nose.

"Hey, how long should I wait like this? This is very boring. Why should I act like a damsel in distress? At least give me some snacks." 'Lucy' said.

Her words cause Jose and Makarov to sweat drop because it's like she doesn't understand the situation. This 'Lucy' is Ben's Sloth clone, so she is very lazy even when she doesn't need to do anything now.

Makarov realized something is wrong and remembered that Ben is guarding the town. He thinks fast and knew that this was his handiwork. Although he didn't know exactly what Ben did, he knew that this Lucy was not the real one.

"It seems you kidnapped the wrong person, Jose." Makarov said.

"DAMN, ARE YOU REALLY LUCY HEARTFILLA?!" Jose angrily demanded.

'Lucy' didn't say anything and simply flicked her booger at Jose, making him angry. Jose punches 'Lucy' and she dodged it by rolling to the side, she's too lazy to get up.

"Such a sissy punch." 'Lucy' said lazily to mock Jose.

Jose gets even angrier.

"GRRAAH! ARIA!" He shouted.

Suddenly, a big and tall man with a blindfold appeared behind Makarov. The old man who was distracted by the show was caught off guard. The man, Aria, has a magic circle on each hand and he aimed them at Makarov.

"Metsu!" Aria yelled.

After Aria said that, Makarov's magic power was rapidly drained from his body. It prevented him from doing anything and finally his magic power was drained completely.

Aria's spell did a lot of damage to Makarov because of his immense magic power. This spell is stronger if the target had a lot of magic power. So Makarov took a lot of damage.

The unconscious Makarov fell to the first floor and it surprised the Fairy Tail mages. They decide to retreat because their guild master's safety is more important. The war with Phantom Lord can wait until their master recovered.

Meanwhile, in Phantom Lord's headquarters, located elsewhere, Jose is still angry with 'Lucy' and demands an explanation. But 'Lucy' is still too lazy to do anything, even answer Jose's question. The old guy's frustration is mounting and he suddenly blabbers about his reason for attacking Fairy Tail, which is her.

Lucy's father, Jude Heartfilla hired Phantom Lord to find his missing daughter. Jose used this request to his advantage and attacked Fairy Tail because Lucy is a member of the guild. He used his job as a legal reason to wage war with his guild's rival.

"Heh." 'Lucy' said uninterested while still picking her nose.

"GRRH, JUST WHO ARE YOU?" Jose angrily shouted.

"Clone." 'Lucy' replied truthfully, still with a lazy tone.

"Huh? Clone?" A surprised Jose asked.

"Yeah, and I think my job is done, so goodbye." 'Lucy' said as she dispelled herself.

Jose's eyes blinked in disbelief before he realized he had deceived. He became very angry and promised Fairy Tail would pay for this. He'll also find out who created the clone and get his revenge on them.

Ben received the clone's memories and now understood the reason for this war. Although he was quite disappointed with his Sloth clone who didn't need try to fight Jose. He wanted to see how powerful a Wizard Saint is.

Knowing the reason behind this war was good for now, and he successfully pissed Jose off. It can be considered payback for the trouble he and his guild caused. Now, he just needed to wait for the news about Fairy Tail's attack on the enemy's base.

Sometime later, the Fairy Tail mages finally return. But Ben frowned after seeing the unconscious Makarov. He can sense that the old man's magic power is low and he knew that he was responsible.

Some mages take Makarov to the western forest. Ben knew they were bringing him to that old woman's tree house. He went once before to help the Strauss siblings.

Mira also joined the group that would take Makarov to the forest. But Ben kidnapped her on the way without anyone's knowledge. It surprised her, but he quickly calmed her down to avoid alerting anyone.

"Ben! Don't surprise me like that!" Mira yelled angrily.

"Sorry, but I can't let them see me. What happened to your master?" He asked.

Mira calmed down and told him everything. As the story continued, Ben realized he had a role in Makarov's condition. If his clone wasn't disguised as Lucy, none of this would've happened.

Ben apologized to Mira before explaining his little act. He explains everything, especially his reason and what he got from it. His explanation pissed Mira off a little, but she knew it wasn't his fault and he wasn't wrong for trying to find out the reason behind this war.

"Lucy's father, huh? So Phantom Lord used his request to their advantage, very cunning. At least we now know the reason. We need to hide it from Lucy or she will feel guilty." Mira said.

"Do what you think is right. But I think you need to warn that girl to be more cautious. She doesn't have any sense of danger and just walked without any caution before. It's like she doesn't realize her guild is in a war with another guild and she might be put in danger too even though she's in the town. If I wasn't there, she would have been kidnapped." Ben advised.

Mira nodded and agreed with Ben. They all need to be vigilant in this situation or it might cost them their lives. Lucy is new to this kind of thing, so she is still careless and doesn't understand many things.

Suddenly, they feel a tremor and hear a very loud voice that scared the birds. They try to find the source of the tremor and sound by going up a tall tree. What they see is really shocking, it's a moving castle.

"That's Phantom Lord's headquarters. Damn, that's cool. I want to make something like that too." Ben said, impressed.
