Ben's group spent the night in Hargeon after visiting Yajima. They will head to the Magic Council after resting for a bit. There were some things Ben needed to prepare before they went there.
At night, he contacted Jura through a communication lacrima that he took out of his pocket. He asked Jura about their plan and he said it is ready. Jura said can do it the day after tomorrow, so he doesn't need to hurry.
Well, it's good that he has more time to prepare what he needs. He can do everything tomorrow, so tonight he enjoys the time that he has with Mira. Again, Bella was put to sleep with a Sleep Spell before they start their nightly ritual.
"Ben, will everything be alright?" Mira asked as she put her head on Ben's bare chest after they finished their night workout.
"It will. Even if it's not, I will do something and make it alright. This is the first step for our big plan, so I'll make sure it succeeds." Ben said seriously.
"But you need to be careful, alright? I can't help but be wary of the Magic Council after what they did during the S-Class exam." Mira replied, worried.
"Don't worry, Mira. It's not us who should be wary of the other, it's them. They dared to harm our guild, so they should be prepared for our wrath." Ben stated.
"I also think the same thing, but I'm still worried." Mira admitted.
"Alright, I'll be very careful then. Now, let's sleep. We still have a lot to do tomorrow." Ben said.
Mira nodded and they go to sleep. These days have been really tiring, so they need some good sleep. They need it even more after having a tiring night's workout that depleted a lot of their energy.
The next morning, they had breakfast in Yajima's restaurant. The food there is really delicious and they want to keep eating. But even with the good food, the prices on the menu here aren't that expensive, so this restaurant is quite popular.
After they ate, Yajima came to talk to them, and he had a serious expression on his face. Ben greeted him but he just took Ben to his office on the 2nd floor. He didn't say anything for some time so Ben was confused.
"Ben, I was called to come to the Magic Council tomorrow. They said it was an important matter, but they didn't tell me what it is. So I want to ask you. Do you have something to do with this?" He said.
"Huh? Why do you think that? What's the connection between me and the Council's business?" Ben asked, tilting his head.
"Well, I just have a hunch that you are related to this. The time when you said that you would go to the Council and this matter is too close. Besides, you said that you would cause a commotion there." Yajima said.
"Mr. Yajima, I'm not the only one who has business with the Council. Besides, I'm still here. How can I cause a commotion in the Council when I haven't even gone there?" Ben asked.
Yajima was still suspicious.
"Well, it will be good if you aren't related to this. But it will just make things complicated because there will be too many problems at once after you cause a commotion." He said.
Yajima looks tired, but Ben just smirked in his heart. He knew that the reason Yajima had been called was because of him. Jura must've started the plan to make Ben a Wizard Saint, so now the Council is gathering it's officials.
But if it's another matter, then Ben will be happier because it meant that the Council had several problems at once. There's nothing better than seeing his enemy suffer without him doing anything.
Yajima doesn't pursue the matter any longer and let Ben go. So Ben left the restaurant with Mira and Bella. Then they leave the town and head to Fiore's branch of the Magic Council to start their plan.
On the way there, Ben told Mira and Bella to keep their guard up while they are at the Council. With Mira's strength, she will be able to handle most mages in the Council. The only ones that even had a chance to beat her were the Wizard Saints.
"Bella, you stay with Mira while I handle my business. You guys will wait in the town and if they try to do something, do whatever you need to and handle it. There's no need to worry about me, just leave if you really need to." Ben instructed.
"Roger!" Bella hollered with a salute.
"Leave it to me. I won't show mercy if they dare to do something bad. Although I doubt they'll do something funny to us." Mira said.
"Well, maybe. But who knows what those guys will do. They are very sly like snakes." Ben muttered.
"Don't say that. It's an insult to snakes." Mira joked.
"Ha ha, it sure is." Ben chuckled.
"Poor snakeys." Bella said while shaking her head.
Their way to the Fiore Branch of the Magic Council went smoothly, or so they thought. While they pass through a village, they come across a problem. The village was under attack by dark mages that worship Zeref.
Houses are destroyed and villagers were being massacred. Every time Zeref's worshipers attack villages like this, they will always destroy houses and kill the villagers. Sometimes, they will take children, but that doesn't mean the children will be safe and well.
Ben and Mira didn't take time to observe and immediately move to attack the dark mages. There were a lot of dark mages here, but that wasn't a problem. Their priority is saving anyone who is still alive and defeating the dark mages.
Mira immediately transformed into her Satan Soul form while Ben assumed his Light Mode so he can move really fast. They head in different directions as fast as they can. Bella stayed in the car because this was dangerous and it's defense mechanisms would protect her.
Ben unsheathed his sword and moved very fast to attack the dark mages. He doesn't hold back and just goes for the kill. He doesn't even attack their vital organs, his sword attacks are strong enough to cut their bodies in half.
With his sword, Ben cut their bodies without any hesitation. Even if his sword only touched their skin, the force behind it is enough to cut deeper. Everyone that Ben attacked was cut in half so they're all dead.
Mira also doesn't hesitate and attacked the dark mages with her demonic claws. She rips their bodies apart easily as her claws were infused with dark energy. Only a few dark mages survived her attacks but they were gravely injured and won't survive the day without anyone healing them.
Well, it's not like any doctor can save them, unless the doctors had strong Healing Magic which is a Lost Magic. So it's clear none of them will survive Mira's attacks. It's certain that none of the attackers will survive the night.
Ben and Mira have a strong hatred for Zeref worshipers. The Grimoire Heart mages that attacked Tenrou Island are one of them. They're responsible for the tragedy that befell Fairy Tail.
It didn't take long for Ben and Mira to massacre the dark mages. But even if they kill them quickly, they can't save a lot of the villagers. There were only 7 children that survived this tragedy.
"Damn, we were too late. They've started this attack a while ago." Ben said angrily.
"There's nothing we can do about it. What we need to think about now are these children." Mira said as she tried to calm the children down.
"You're right." Ben agreed.
He then asked Mira to take care of the children while he gathered the corpses of dead villagers. While he was at it, he burned the corpses of the dark mages. Then he made a big hole to bury the dead villagers and the children look at the burial with tears in their eyes.
The sight of the crying kids made the two feel bad. They know what it's like to lose your family. This sight also made their desire for power increase. Only power can keep them safe in this cruel world.
