Day 1 Part 1
Location: The Hall of Origin
"Hi everyone! Come on in!" Today was the first day of the legendary and mythical Pokemon's family reunion. Mew was currently ushering them all into The Hall of Origin. As soon as they were all in the main hall, Arceus got ready to speak.
"Greetings! Before you all go off to your rooms, I have a few announcements to make. First, the rules, no fighting of any kind is allowed, except for battles in the arena. This includes arguing, insulting each other, and attacking each other am I clear?" All the Pokemon nodded their heads in agreement. "Secondly, I would like to tell you all that I have decided to invite a special guest this year."
"Who'd you invite?" asked Celebi.
Arceus chuckled. "I'll let you guess. It's someone you all know very well…" No one seemed to know, so he continued, "and his partner is a Pikachu,"
"Ash?!" came the reply.
"Yes," said Arceus, "as a little compensation for all he has done, I had invited him this year. Yes, I know the Hall of Origin is strictly legendary and mythical pokemon only, but it's the least we could do for someone who had helped us so much."
"I know, he's very kind and all," said Dialga, "but are you sure about inviting a human to the Hall of Origin?"
"Well I'm sure he's trustworthy," said Giratina, "he basically saved my life after this crazy guy named Zero tried to drain all my power. Speaking of which, it was your fault that he managed to catch me in the first place!"
"What do you mean my fault?" asked Dialga.
"Don't act all innocent!" yelled Giratina, "You're the one who locked me in my dimension with your stupid time loop!"
"That's because you were trying to kill me!"
"Only because you and Palkia were making a mess of my dimension!"
"It was Dialga's fault!" shouted Palkia, "He started it!"
"ENOUGH!" shouted Arceus, causing Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina to stop talking and turn around. "Can't you three go just one day without fighting? There is ONE rule here and you three can't even obey it?! You are supposed to be the CREATION trio NOT the DESTRUCTION trio! If you can't stop fighting and settle down, I'll lock you in your dimensions for the rest of the celebrations!"
"Yes father," said Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina.
"Anyway," continued Arceus, "since the Chosen One is coming, I expect you all to be on your best behavior. We want this to be a nice visit for him, NOT another 'I have to help the legendaries' thing. Am I understood?" A collective murmur of agreement resounded throughout the hall. "Alright then, Mew, why don't you go get him?"
"On it Arcy!"
With Ash and Pikachu…
"ZZZZZ…" Ash Ketchum was currently asleep. Curled up beside him was his partner, Pikachu. Near the bedside was a broken alarm clock.
"WAKE UP!" Ash jerked out of his sleep, almost banging his head on the ceiling. He groaned, only to see a giggling Mew in his room. "Mew! What was that for?"
"Oh, oopsie!" *giggles* "Arcy told me to come to get you, it's time for the party to start!"
"Oh that," said Ash, "sure, just let me get changed first."
A Few Minutes Later…
"Ok Mew, I'm ready to go!" said Ash.
"Alright, hang on!" said Mew as she touched Ash and Pikachu. After a brief flash of light, they were all whisked away.
Meanwhile…
"Ok," said Arceus, "while we wait for the Chosen One, feel free to do whatever you want. Just remember, no fighting of any kind will be tolerated." Arceus sighed. He had hoped that this time, there would be no conflicts between Legendaries. But, as always, some kind of fight HAD to break out. Arceus had anticipated this, he just didn't expect it to be on the FIRST day BEFORE he had finished the opening announcements. 'Oh well,' he thought, 'maybe having the Chosen One here will prevent further arguments since most of them seem to have some respect for him,'
With Ash and Pikachu…
Ash felt a strange sensation. He opened his eyes to find himself in a small pink cart. 'Huh? Is this where Mew taking me?' He thought.
Just before he started thinking that the legendary pokemon gathered in a huge dimension with pink clouds, a pink sky, and pink everything else, he realized that he was moving. He also realized that the 'pink cart' was really part of a very long roller coaster and the said roller coaster had just reached the top of a very high peak. 'Uh oh,' was his last thought before the roller coaster shot down, gaining speed as it went. After a few rounds of loop-the-loops, he felt so dizzy that he completely blacked out.
The Hall of Origin
"Hey, Arcy! I'm back!" shouted Mew.
"Good, where's the Chosen One?" asked Arceus.
"Right here!" said Mew, revealing a dazed Ash and Pikachu.
"Mew! I thought I told you to go easy on the teleporting!"
"Whoopsie!"
As Ash recovered, he looked around him. "Huh? Arceus?"
Arceus hovered over to him. "Greetings Chosen One,"
"Oh, uh, hi," said Ash cautiously, still a bit dizzy.
"No need to be alarmed, Chosen One," said Arceus, "I just wanted to make sure you got here safely,"
'Arceus wanted to make sure I got here safely?' thought Ash, 'That seems strange, although, with the way Mew brought me here, I guess it makes sense…'
"Anyway," said Arceus, "I'm going to give you a little gift which you will find quite useful during your visit." Arceus reached out and tapped Ash on the head. On the point of contact, waves of light spread throughout Ash's body. Ash looked at his hands, confused.
"Uh, no offense, but what exactly did that do?" asked Ash.
"Give it some time, maybe it takes a while," said a voice next to him.
"Ahh! Who said that?" yelled Ash, alarmed.
"Me of course, who else would it be?"
Ash turned around. "Pikachu? Are you saying that?"
"Yeah, it's me. Why? Wait hold on-"
"I understand you?" asked Ash, "That means…"
"Yes Chosen One," said Arceus, "I have granted you the ability to understand Pokemon,"
"Wow," said Ash, "thanks!"
"No problem,"
"Um, just wondering," said Ash, "where am I going to stay for the week?"
"I've put you in room 35, is that ok?" asked Arceus.
"Yeah, that's fine," said Ash, then realizing something, he asked, "uh where is it exactly?"
"Here, I'll take you!" said Mew. Before Ash could react, she grabbed him by the hand and teleported. When Ash recovered from another crazy teleportation, this time out of a pink cannon, he noticed that they were in front of a door marked 35 in large gold lettering. "K, have fun!" shouted Mew as she shot off.
"Wait, Mew!" said Ash, "Oh well, guess let's go in buddy!"
Ash opened the door and walked in. The room was very large with two beds in various locations in one corner of the room. There was one about his size, with one Pikachu's size next to it. The room was very fancy and luxurious. In fact, it was nicer than any hotel he had ever been in.
"Wow," said Ash, "this is really nice huh buddy?"
"Yeah…" said Pikachu.
Ash flopped on the bed and let out a satisfied "Ahh!" Just as he was about to doze off, the door opened and two pokemon flew in. Ash jumped up, startled. Then he recognized them, "Azelf? Victini?" The two said Pokemon turned to look at him before flying over to him.
"Hi guys, nice to see you again!"
Azelf and Victini looked equally pleased to see him. "Ash!" said Azelf, "I was wondering when you would come!"
"You knew I was coming?" asked Ash.
"Yeah," said Victini, "Arceus announced it this morning, I couldn't wait until you came!"
"Me too!" said Azelf, "I haven't gotten to see you for a while, and when I did, it was only to stop Team Galactic."
"And I never got to thank you for freeing me from the barriers at Eindoak Town," said Victini.
"Well, I just did what I could," said Ash, scratching his head.
"Ash," said Azelf, "sometimes, I don't think you realize the magnitude of the things you have done for us,"
"What do you mean?" asked Ash.
"You do know that regularly saving legendary's lives and stopping evil humans is not something that most people would do right?" asked Victini.
"Well," said Ash, "I knew I was helping out a bit but…"
"Come on Ash," said Azelf, "you've helped us in more ways than you can imagine. Why do you think Arceus invited you to our celebrations?"
"Because I'm the Chosen One?" asked Ash.
"Yeah," said Azelf, "but there have been many, many Chosen Ones throughout the centuries. YOU are the first one ever to enter the Hall of Origin. Arceus invited you because you willingly risk your life if only to help others in the least bit."
"Well, you're all my friends right?" said Ash, "So I'm just doing my best helping a friend,"
Azelf sighed. "Never mind,"
"Anyway," said Victini, "I'm sure Latias will be happy to see you, especially since… well, it's a surprise."
"Suprise?" asked Ash.
"Yeah, Latias has a surprise for you, wanna go see her?"
"Sure!" said Ash, "Where is she?"
"Follow me!" said Azelf.
A few minutes of walking later, (the hallways were huge to accommodate the bigger Legendaries such as Giratina) they arrived at another large door. Ash opened it and saw a room similar to his, with two beds, one slightly smaller than the other.
"Hey Latias!" said Victini, "Ash is here!"
One blurry figure later, Ash found himself on the floor, being nuzzled by another hyper-psychic-type legendary.
"Hi Latias," said Ash, "good to see you again!"
Latias levitated off him. "Good to see you too Ash! I missed you so much after you left."
"Yeah, sorry about that," said Ash, "I meant to come to visit, but things got in the way…"
"Also you probably wouldn't remember," said Pikachu flatly.
"Would too!" said Ash.
"I don't blame you," said Pikachu, "I wouldn't remember either if I had to go save Legendary Pokemon on a day-to-day basis. And don't say you don't because I've been with you the WHOLE time."
"Did you always talk like this before I could understand you?" asked Ash.
"Not always," said Pikachu, "anyway Latias, so what's the surprise?"
"Oh!" said Latias, "I'll be right back!" She zoomed off to another room that seemed to be another part of the room she was staying in. "Brother!"
"What is it, sis?" asked a voice.
"Come here!" was all Latias responded with.
Ash was confused. Did Latias just say, brother? Didn't Latios die saving Altomare? That's when he saw a figure fly through the doorway. "Latios!?" said Ash in surprise.
"Oh it's you, Ash," said Latios, "I was wondering what Latias was so excited about. Good to see you,"
"But-but I thought-" started Ash.
"Right, that," said Latios, "well, it's a long story, but something you did to the timeline with Dialga made it so I didn't have to sacrifice myself. However, everyone kept their memories of the event, since, well,m I don't really know myself."
"What exactly did I do to the timeline?" asked Ash.
"I don't know the details," said Latios, "Dialga gave a very vague answer…"
"Hmm maybe I'll ask Celibi later," mused Ash.
"Ash," said Latios, "I want to ask you something, why do you do all this?"
"All what?" asked Ash.
"Putting yourself at risk simply to better the lives of humans and Pokemon."
"Oh that," said Ash, "well they're my friends, and I guess I just enjoy helping them."
"Very honorable answer," said Latios, "Latias was right, you are the kindest human I've ever met. Even in the short time I got to see you. Not that I've met very many humans but…"
"Thanks," said Ash, feeling a little overwhelmed by the compliments.
"Hey Ash!" said Latias, "What are you going to do now since you're the strongest trainer in the world?"
"You know about that?" asked Ash.
"Yeah, Arceus gathered all the Legendaries to watch your match in the Hall of Origin."
Ash gulped. "Well, I'm glad I won then," He was sure glad that he hadn't known ALL of the Legendary Pokemon were watching him. If he did, he would have been a LOT more nervous.
"So, what are you going to do?" asked Latias.
"Honestly, I don't know," said Ash, "I've traveled through all the regions and done everything I could think of… but I guess I could always decide later,"
Before Latias could respond, a bell rang.
"Oh, it's time for lunch!" said Victini, "Hey, Ash, race you there!"
Ash watched as all of them except Latios and Pikachu zipped away. Ash turned to Latios. "Um, do you know where they're going?"
"Yeah, I know, here hop on," said Latios, lowering himself so that Ash could ride him.
Ash hesitated for a second before getting on Latios. As soon as he was on securely, Latios zoomed off with Pikachu barely hanging on to Ash's shoulder.
