Chapter 10: True Color's Part Two

It had been quite the day in Newtopia for a certain group of friends. From almost falling to their deaths to being betrayed by someone they could trust, thinking nothing could get any worse. Unfortunately, for them, it apparently could as the Doctor had been hiding information away from them.

"Wait!" said Anne. "You knew this was gonna happen?! Why didn't you say, like anything?!"

"Patience Ms. Boonnchuy, patience," said the Doctor, calmly. "Yelling is not going to get us anywhere, now will it?"

Before Anne could vent her frustrations further, Sasha then interrupted her former friend. "Guards!"

Several toad soldiers then began to charge at the Time Lord with their weapons raised. As they charged towards their target, the Doctor then pulled a silver object from his pocket. Both Marcy and Anne recognized the object in question as the Doctor's pen that he loaned the former when they first met. He then pointed it at the toads as the tip of it unfolded like some sort of claw to reveal a pink crystal. A beam of light then shot out from the crystal which hit the toads as they screamed in agony. As the toads screamed in pain and too much to everyone present in the room's horror, all of the toads began to shrink rapidly. This process continued until all of them were the size of dolls while also no longer moving or screaming. Witnessing this caused any remaining guards to back away from the Time Lord as he put away the device.

"Well, that's definitely a small show of force," said the Doctor, mockingly. "A little more of a challenge than the other two you had restraining me. Honestly, this so-called betrayal has been kind of underwhelming."

While surprised at what just happened, Sasha still kept a brave demeanor. "What was that thing!?" she demanded.

"No need to be rude Ms. Waybright," replied the Doctor. "And for your information, that was a Tissue Compression Eliminator, or T.C.E for short."

No one in the room seemed to understand what the Time Lord was saying, making his eyes roll in annoyance. "In other words for the less intelligent, death via shrinking," he explained. "Quick yet painful. A pretty efficient tool for killing I may say so myself."

Learning this information sent feelings of horror and shock to Anne's group. Never in their lives (whether it be in Amphibia or Earth) had they ever seen a display of malice like that done so fast yet cruelly. Even Sasha, Grime, and their forces seemed to be somewhat disturbed by this yet the Doctor seemed to be unphased by it

After a few seconds of taking in what the Time Lord had just said, Marcy decided to speak up. "Doctor, how could you be so-"

"Cruel?" interrupted the Doctor. "Don't give me that. You and your friends were perfectly fine killing those creatures at the third temple. I see no difference here."

"Are you serious?!" yelled Anne. "Those things were mindless beasts!"

"I still see no difference," replied the Doctor, who seemed bored. "If it helps dear Anne I took no pleasure from it. Killing out of necessity is honestly rather dull."

This did little to help Anne or Marcy's mood (or in fact anyone in the room for that matter) yet once again, the Doctor did not seem to care about this and then began to stroll up towards Sasha. "It seems that you have some that belong to me Ms. Waybright," he said, calmly. "If you would be so kind I would like to have it back and while you are at it I would like an apology for punching me."

The blonde then remembered she had the Time Lord's screwdriver in her pocket and started to back away sword in hand with Grime backing her up with his Warhammer raised. "Not if we have anything to say about it, Time Lord!" he said,

Grime then signaled for his remaining troops to assist him but all of them were hesitant. Fear and sweat were written all over them as they stared at the Doctor.

"What are you waiting for?!" demanded Grime. "There is just one of him and many of us!"

"A foolish decision," replied the Doctor, not even fussed. "However, I was prepared for such an occasion."

*SLASH*

In the blink of an eye, two toads collapsed to the ground, unmoving as their heads rolled away from their bodies. Witnessing another two deaths was too much for poor Felicia Sundew as she fainted (though Hop Pop did catch her before she hit the ground). The rest of the group other hand did not take it much better, standing still in shock and clearly traumatized at the blood being spilled upon them.

The remaining soldiers now clearly scared from what they had just witnessed tried to make a break for the door (or any way out of the castle). Before any of them could make it out, three more toads were suddenly sliced in half by some invisible force. This stopped the remaining ones from running, now fearful that any wrong move could get them killed.

"What is happening!" exclaimed Grime, now looking at the Doctor. "What are you doing to my troops?!"

"Isn't it obvious?" replied the Doctor. "I'm merely setting an example to those who oppose me."

The blood of toad soldiers now was splattered across the room with a large amount now dripping from what seemed to be claws. These claws then started to become visible and were connected to some sort of robot. What shocked Anne's group the most was how it had an uncanny resemblance to a certain robot in the room.

"That thing looks just Frobo!" exclaimed Polly.

Speaking of Frobo, the titular frog robot seemed to be unfazed by all this carnage and was standing completely still. This began to worry Polly as the young tadpole had formed somewhat of a bond with it ever since they first met. "Um Frobo?" she asked, tapping on the robot's legs. "You all right?"

Suddenly the frog robots eye's then turned from their usual yellow to a bright blue. Its right arm then morphed into what looked like some sort of silver-looking tube and then pointed towards a nearby toad soldier. From the tube, a beam of bright blue energy shot out of it and hit the toad with a bright flash briefly exposing his skeletal structure. The toad proceeded to scream in pain before falling to the ground, dead.

Polly then angrily bounced up towards the Time Lord, demanding answers. "What did you do to Frobo?!" she yelled.

Before the tadpole could reach him, a massive mechanical tendril with a claw at its end then burst through the floor and wrapped itself around the tadpole. Several more can out through the ground and restrained the rest of Anne's group along with Lady Olivia, Sasha, Grime, and the remaining troops. All of them were struggling against the grip of the robotic appendages but to no avail.

One tendril in particular separated from the bunch and then grabbed the music box from Sasha. The blonde teen tried to take it back but could not must the strength as the mechanical appendage had her tight in its grip. The Doctor then walked up to the toad lieutenant, reached into her pocket, and then retrieved his laser screwdriver while brushing off any pocket lint covering it.

"I'll be taking that back," said the Doctor, smugly. "Thank you for keeping it warm and cosy for me.

He then turned to Polly, who like everyone else still showed resistance. "And to answer your question, my dear Polly, it is very simple," he said. "I merely made him more suitable to my needs."

"By turning him into a killing machine?!" exclaimed Polly.

"It my dear," replied the Doctor. "Robots are not living things like you and I. They are nothing more than nuts, bolts, sheets of metal, and programming. Watch."

The Doctor then turned towards Frobo and the Cloak-Bot before pointing towards the rest of Grime's forces. "Destroy them!" he commanded. "Maximum extermination! Do as your master commands!"

"Don't do it Frobo!" yelled Polly.

Unfortunately, Frobo did not respond to any of Polly's words as it joined the other Frobot two robots and finished off the remaining troops under Grimes command. The sounds of cries of mercy and screaming filled the room along with the smell of burning flesh and rust as the others could only avert their eyes to what horrors were happening in front of them. After a few painful minutes that felt like hours, the screaming finally stopped, leaving only Anne, Marcy, the Plantars, the two Sundews, Lady Olivia, Sasha, and Grime with the Doctor and his two pawns as the Time Lord then gave a long look at the carnage surrounding him.

"You see my dear Polliwog," said the Doctor. "Simple programming. No regrets, no independence, and no questioning whatsoever."

"YOU MONSTER!" screamed Polly, trying to claw at the Time Lord.

As Polly began to spit out more insults towards the Doctor, Frobo began to approach her. Its barrel of the gunstick was still steaming off the last of the energy discharged used to destroy the last of Grime's forces. The frog robot then pointed it at the young tadpole, ready to exterminate her when given the command.

"I suggest you choose your next words wisely," said the Doctor, coldly. "Or you'll end up dead like those two disgust frogs from your backwater town."

Sprig gasped at hearing this. "You killed Maddie and Wally?" she exclaimed, horrified. "Why?!"

"They were very rude and rather annoying so I felt the need to get rid of them," replied the Doctor, offhanded. "Besides the most pointless deaths are the most fun!"

This made everyone in the room sick to the core, especially Anne. "That is messed up!" she screamed. "I thought you were the hero that saved Amphibia! Heroes don't kill people just for fun!"

"You thought wrong Ms. Boonchuy," said the Doctor. "Besides the two's deaths weren't a complete waste. They made perfect compost for the Plantars crops. Would you agree Hopediah."

Initially, this confused Hopediah Plantar as he did not know what the Doctor was talking about. Then something horrifying dawned on elder Plantar mind. He remembered when the Doctor had installed a compost dispenser into Frobo, claiming that he wanted to help out the Plantars farm. A few days later, the Time Lord had come to the old frog, saying that discovered a new blend to help the crops and that they would grow twice as healthy and plentiful. What made this even worse was that this was the day of Maddie and Wally's disappearance and upon his revelation coming together in his head, Hop Pop began to break down.

"What have I done?!" screamed Hop Pop. "How could you do that to them?!"

"The pointless deaths are the most satisfying," said the Doctor, nonchalantly. "Besides, you shouldn't be angry at me. If anything you should be angry a dear Frobo."

The Doctor then gestured towards the frog robot who still had its gunstick pointed at Polly. "I may have given the order," he said. "But I didn't do the deed. "

Before Hop Pop could comment further on the situation, the ground started to shake and split. Suddenly, a huge object with multiple eyes burst from the ground with several mechanical tentacles connected to it (the very same subduing the remaining amphibians and humans). Its many eyes began to stare at its captives as they stared back in both shock and fear.

"ALL IS PREPARED MASTER!" boomed the behemoth.

"What is that monstrosity?!" demanded Lady Olivia.

"Oh that," replied the Doctor. "Just a little something your ruler, King Andrias had hidden under here for quite some time. I think he called it the Core or something like that."

Once again, these reveals left everyone in the room shocked and speechless. So much information that they didn't know was being dropped like bombs and going off one by one. The only one who didn't seem surprised was the Doctor who seemed somewhat annoyed.

"Really?" said the Doctor, with disappointment and annoyance written in his tone. "After all the reveals happening today I thought you would be quite used to it by now."

Seeing that their attitudes were not going to change, the Doctor then signed. "Regardless," he said, calmly. "It's not going to matter in a few seconds."

The claws on the Core's free tentacles then switched out for that spiked-bladed weapon. Anne's group along with Marcy, Lady Olivia, Sasha, and Grime tried once again to struggle and squirm out of the mechanical behemoth's gripe but to no avail. It then proceeded to raise them above the remaining survivors (though strangely it ignored Felicia and Ivy) and got ready to strike.

"STOP!"

A loud voice echoed throughout the room, leaving everyone briefly stunned for a moment. The Doctor then turned to see that Marcy had been the one who had shouted with desperation and panic written all over her face. He waved his hand as the Core then lowered its spike appendages. The Time Lord walked towards the former Newtopian ranger so they were face to face with each other.

"Please Doctor!" begged Marcy. "Don't kill them!"

"And why not dear Ms. Wu?" replied the Doctor. "What possible reason should I not? After I hold all the cards."

"But they are my friends!" argued Marcy.

"Friends don't stab each other in the back," said the Doctor, giving a brief look at Sasha. "And they certainly don't keep secrets from each other."

"Oh like you're any better!" scoffed Sasha.

The Time Lord then snapped his fingers and the tentacle holding the blonde tightened its grip, making her scream in pain. "Words like that will get you nowhere Ms. Waybright," he remarked. "Also I didn't hear an apology."

"GGAAAAHHHHH!" screamed Sasha. "SCREW YOU!"

The Doctor watched the girl scream in agony while everyone else just trying not to look. "Still not hearing an apology my dear!" he sang out.

"Doctor, stop it!" yelled Marcy, desperately. "This wasn't part of the plan! You said no one would get hurt! You're the hero who saved Amphibia remember?"

This comment made the Time Lord chuckle a bit. "I never said that nor promised it," he remarked. "Besides who said that I was the Doctor?"

"What?!" exclaimed Marcy. "But you said-"

"I said anything to feed into your pathetic delusions," mocked the Doctor. " Your precious Doctor was merely a disguise. A disguise so perfect it fooled everyone in this room especially naïve idiots such as yourself Ms. Wu."

"If you are not the Doctor," trembled Marcy. "Then… t-then… who are you?"

"I'm glad you asked my dear," replied the old man. "You remember when I talk about another Time Lord? A certain Master?"

These words made the young girl realize whom she was dealing with. "You're the Master?!" she said, shocked.

"Universally," replied the Master, sadism written in his voice. "On the bright side, I no longer have to mask my constant annoyance with your very existence while pretending to be that delusional simpleton. Honestly, every minute of spending time with you was pure agony."

As soon as the Time Lord finished his sentence, Marcy looked like a brick had hit her. So many negative emotions started to run through her; ranging from anger to sadness. After everything the two had been through, every discussion they had sharing information, and everything the Gallifreyan was just so he could use her to further his own plans. Unfortunately, the Master was not done with Marcy just yet

"Oh don't look like your completely innocent," mocked the Master. "After all you did bring your two friends to Amphibia after all."

This reveal of information made Anne and Sasha stop struggling as they stared at their BFF. Originally, the two thought that it was a mere accident that they got transported to another world but now this big claim by the Master shocked them. The rest of the non-humans in the room were also shocked too about this reveal while Marcy herself stood there petrified in shock and horror.

"You've got to be kidding me," said Sasha, bitterly.

"No, it can't be," said Anne, shocked.

Marcy then turned her head towards her friends with a nervous yet broken smile written across her face. "I.. I-I did it for us!" she said.

"What do you mean for us?!" exclaimed Anne, confused.

"On the day we left," explained Marcy with desperation in her voice. "Your birthday, my dad got a new job out of state! They're making me move away! They were going to tear us apart!"

Anne then gave her last human friend a disappointed look. "Marcy…."

"I... I found the box. I had no idea it would actually work, but it did!" continued Marcy, starting to tear up. "It sent us to a place where we'd never have to grow apart, where the three of us could be friends forever together!"

In response to this reveal, Sasha gave a look of frustration before turning her head away and refusing to look at the Taiwanese American. Anne on the other hand was not much better, with the Thai girl now furious at Marcy. "How could you?!" she replied, disgusted. "I've been missing my parents, my life!"

"But look at how much fun we've had!" responded Marcy, on the verge of breaking down. "Look at how much you've both grown."

Marcy then turned her head towards the direction where Sprig was. "Look at Sprig!" she cried out before turning her attention back to her two BFFs. "I gave you this, I gave you everything!"

This was the final straw for Anne who sadly turned her head away from Marcy and refused to look at the thirteen year old. Both she and Sasha were still clearly angry with Marcy for trapping them in another dimension, away from Earth and away from their home all because she want them to herself. This was too much for Marcy Wu, as tears started leaking from her eyes with what little composure she had broken.

"I just didn't want to be alone," sobbed Marcy. "I-I j-just-"

The sound of clapping interrupted the young girl and looked to see it coming from the Master. "Bravo Ms. Wu!" he asked, sarcastically. "A performance worthy of Shakespeare! Honestly, I never understood nor cared about humans regarding attachments toward others but seeing you break down from the fruits of your labor and stupidity was so satisfying. Even more so made that promise to bring back Sprig and Polly's parents."

"You never intended to bring back my parents?!" said Sprig, angrily.

"No," replied the Master, flatly. "I was merely entertaining the idea of bringing your hopes up just to crush them in the chance to destroy any hope you had for your pathetic family but seeing Ms. Wu break down is satisfying enough."

"Was there anything you didn't lie about?!" screamed Ivy.

"Well I didn't lie when I said your mother's tea was the best," said the Master. "So that's why I had you brought here so you could serve me once I complete my ultimate triumph."

The Master then pressed a button on his laser screwdriver and from the center of the room a column rises with some sort of spiky metal pillar connected to it. The Core's appendage holding the music box then removed the gems from it and tossed the empty box away. Each gem is loaded into the pillar with one on each side as a massive beam of blue light shot from the top of the pillar and through the ceiling as symbols through the castle began to glow.

Upon seeing this, the Master then smiled. "Since the Doctor isn't around I guess the rest of you will have to do as an audience," he said as a holographic screen appeared from the Core's eyes.

Outside the city of Newtopia, Captain Bufo and his army of toads continued to march towards the open gates. Everything had gone according to Grime and his lieutenant Sasha Waybright's plan and in a few hours, Newtopia would be theirs for the taking. No longer would they have to serve as mere enforcers under King Andrias's command and soon he would be under their command along with the rest of Amphibia, starting with Newtopia.

Ahhh, victory. Thought Captain Bufo.

As the lord of the East Tower's army marched towards their destination, they began to notice that something was happening to King Andrias's castle. The outside of the castle was starting to glow with patterns all around it along with the ornamental structure on the top now a bright blue and seemed shifting parts. All toads present (including Bufo) then stopped their march, hesitant and caught off guard by what was happening with the castle.

"Um captain?" asked one soldier. "Is it supposed to do that?"

For a few seconds, Captain Bufo was unable to answer. Had something gone wrong? Did Grime and his lieutenant discover a hidden secret inside the castle? May questions and theories ran wild through the toad's mind but then dismissed them. Nothing seemed to be going wrong and nothing else had happened to threaten his army's assault.

"It's probably just nothing," replied Bufo, before turning to the rest of his soldiers. "Continue your march forward. We have a capital to conquer!"

The army of toads then resumed marching towards Newtopia when suddenly a strange sound started to ring into their ears. Out of curiosity, Captain Bufo to see where the source of the sound was coming from. It seemed to be coming from the distant lands behind them and was getting louder by the minute.

Suspicious of what was coming towards them, Bufo then turned back towards his troops and signaled the troops at the back. "Bog," he commanded. "Take the rear unit with you to the far side and investigate whatever going on back there. I don't want any sneak attacks running our finest hour."

"You got it cap," said Bog, saluting the captain.

Before the rear unit could react, a blue beam flew across the distant lands and hit one of the toad soldiers of the rear unit and causing his skeletal structure to briefly flash before falling to the ground, dead. Seeing own of their own die from this mysterious beam of energy, the toad army quickly got into defensive positions with shields up and archers at the ready. Captain Bufo then looked in the direction where the beam came from and saw several dots far away in the sky coming directly for his forces. He brought out his telescope and pressed it against his eye in order to have a better view of what had killed one of his own soldiers.

What the captain saw through the telescope shocked him. Those dots in the sky were in fact groups of what looked to be metal creatures resembling frogs. All of them seemed to vary in size and shape. Some were bronze, having one blue glowing light on what Bufo presumed was the head while possessing a silver tube on one hand and a claw on the other. The larger ones seemed to be silver with a single red eye with two cylinders on their backs that had three smaller cylinders on each one while having some sort of battle-axe/crossbow hybrid weapon on their right arm and some sort of cannon on the left.

Never in his life had Captain Bufo seen such creatures as these but showed no fear. He had faced some of the worst creatures Amphibia had to offer so these metal fly frogs would be no challenge. The lord of the East Tower's army then looked in the direction of his archers.

"Fire!" commanded Bufo, raising his sword.

Hundreds of arrows began to flood the skies of Amphibia and fly towards the incoming enemy forces As the projectiles were about to hit their intended target, they suddenly started to catch fire and burn away until there was nothing left like some kind of magic spell protecting those metal creatures. Seeing that their weaponry had no effect on their targets caused some of the toads to become nervous.

"Captain, what do we do?!" asked one soldier.

Before Bufo could say anything, a blue beam hit the toad captain and killing him instantly. This made the toad army panic as their leadership was cut off but before they could retreat or regroup, the metal creatures started to attack them with the bronze ones firing blue beams at the soldiers. Some toads tried to use their shields in an attempt to protect themselves but this did little to help as the silver ones fired some form of projectiles at them, exploding on impact and reducing them to a pile of charred remains. Overmatched and slowly being whittled down, the remaining troops of Bufo forces started to descend into chaos with some trying to fight off the enemy in a last-ditch attempt while others ran for their lives but it didn't matter as they were picked off one by one.

"Well that was disappointing but not expected."

Everyone in the room (sans the Master) watched in disgust and horror from a holo-screen being displayed by one of the Core's many eyes, showing a Frobots point of view on the massacre. The Time Lord had made sure they had watched every second of the destruction of Grime's forces by having the mechanical behemoth use its claws to hold the heads of its victims in the direction of the screen while also keeping their eyes open. While this was a disturbing and morbid sight for the calamity trio and their friends, the Master was unfazed and almost disappointed.

"ALL TOAD FORCES OUTSIDE THE KINGDOM WALLS HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED," reported the Core.

"Very good," replied the Master. "Have the troops clean up the stragglers located in the kingdom. Once they have been taken care of recall all forces to the castle."

"YES MASTER," responded the Core, turning off the view screen as it transmitted further instructions.

"No!" cried Grime, devastated that the last of his forces were going to be destroyed.

"You're insane!" screamed Sasha.

The Time Lord looked at Sasha, with little to no care. "Why thank you, my dear Sasha," he said, dryly. "Also I still haven't heard an apology from you."

Upon hearing this, the tentacle holding Sasha once again began to tighten as the blonde screamed in pain. The others could do nothing as they watched the toad tower lieutenant be tortured by the mechanical behemoth but the Master then gave a light gesture with his hand. The Core responded to this by stopping its squeeze on Sasha, who then gasped for air.

"That's enough," commanded the Master. "Besides I have more pressing issues to attend to. Prepare the Delta Wave generator."

"I OBEY MASTER," replied the Core, as the pillar began to glow a bright blue.

"What's a delta wave generator?" asked Lady Olivia, unsure of what was.

"I'm glad you asked Lady Olivia," replied the Master, gleefully. "I assume you are familiar with the cerebrum and the cerebellum, also known as the brain?"

"Well duh," said Polly, sarcastically. "Everyone has a brain. You would have to be an idiot not to know that."

The tadpole's comment did not sit well with the Time Lord. "Well did you know that the brain produces neural oscillations that help you think, breath, rest, and sleep?" he replied, dead serious.

"Ppppffffttt I knew that," said Polly, trying to be confident.

"Really?" snarked the Master, not convinced. "Well did you also know that a single delta wave produces a massive ripple of Van Cassadine energy, enough to fry an organic mind to a crisp?"

This information sent a chill down everyone's spine but brought a horrifying realization to one Anne Boonchuy. "Wait your gonna use this delta wave thingy to fry everyone's mind in Amphibia?!" she said, disgusted. "So that's why you needed the gems recharged!"

"Partially correct Ms. Boonchuy!" replied the Master, turning to a more serious look. "I was thinking along the lines of the entire multiverse."

The Core then displayed a hologram showing the whole of Newtopia. It then zoomed towards King Andrias's castle and then to the top part of the structure. It seemed that the ornamental structure turned into some form of an alien transmitter.

"By modifying the castle's energy weapon into a transmitter," explained the Master. "With the power at my disposal, I'll have enough power to destroy every sentient mind in the multiverse."

This made the trio of humans (along with their friends) gasp in horror while the Master treated it as nothing. "Don't worry you are all perfectly safe here," he said. "My TARDIS is shielding the entire castle from the effects of the delta wave. After all, I do need workers to rebuild the multiverse, albeit in my image. To quote Li Proverbe au Vilain; Rome was not built in a day."

"You would kill everything just so you could take charge?!" shouted Sasha.

"You're not one to speak about this topic Ms. Waybright," snarked the Master. "You were perfectly fine taking over Newtopia along with that repulsive captain of yours, might I add on deceiving your two friends."

This left Sasha stunned for a second before responding. "At least I wasn't trying to wipe out all life in the multiverse!" she retorted. "And also not an absolute nutjob!"

"I consider myself more of a realist my dear Ms. Waybright," replied the Master, coldly. "I see all of reality for what it truly is."

"Oh, and what is that?" added Anne.

"A festering pit of self-interest," responded the Master. "Currently ripping itself apart in a fruitless war."

This confused the Wartwood girl. "What war?" she asked.

"The Time War my dear," added on the Master.

"What the Time War?" said a confused Ivy.

"A war between two species," began the Master. "One race, in particular, calling themselves, the Daleks."

"Daleks?" replied Ivy, confused. "Like from your stories?"

"If they are even true," grumbled Sasha.

"Yes, they are indeed true," said the Master. "I have indeed run into the Daleks, time after time. Always butting heads or scheming against them but now my entire species, the Time Lords is now at war with them."

The Master then continued. "A war tearing the fabric of reality part, erasing entire races and timelines from existence just to create twisted versions that barely resemble the original," he spoke as if he had been there to witness it. "A war where each side will sink to no levels of immorality even if it means the death of the entire multiverse just to get a slight advantage over the enemy. A war with too much chaos and destruction even for myself."

"So you're just going to destroy your own people along with countless others without a second hesitation?!" exclaimed Lady Olivia. "Even the ones not involved in this Time War?!"

"Basically yes," replied the Master. "Besides if the war continues on, soon they will become involved and be thrown into the conflict like meat to a pack of rabid wolves. At least with my plan, there will be a universe to live in albeit under my control of course."

The Master then walked towards Marcy. The girl was silent, hanging her head in shame as tears dropped to the floor, making the renegade Time Lord smile a little. After everything that happened today and everything she caused, she didn't want to make the situation worse and be hated even more.

"Nothing to add on Ms. Wu?" asked the Master. "Not one word? Not to your dear old friend? Not even the classic good will triumph over evil speech? Nothing?"

Marcy still did not respond, trying her best to hide the sadness on her face and not looking at the Gallifreyan. This bored the mad Gallifreyan, expecting some sort of reaction. "Pathetic," he said, coldly. "I was really hoping a wide-eyed idealist such as yourself would say some idiotic but I guess you couldn't even do that."

"Leave her alone, you jerk!" yelled Anne.

"I thought you weren't friends with Ms. Wu anymore?" questioned the Master, "Considering she trapped you here for her own selfish needs."

Anne then turned to look at Marcy, who looked back sombrely before the Thai girl turned her attention back towards the Master. "The three of us may have made mistakes," she said. "But you are just a monster!"

"I've been referred to as worse Ms. Boonchuy," snarked the Master. "Besides, words like that will get you nowhere-"

*SLASH*

Suddenly several of the Core's tentacles split into pieces, freeing the trio of humans and their friends as the mechanical behemoth roared in agony. Everyone then looked to see General Yunan, now fully conscious and with her claws extended as the remains of the machine's appendages dropped to the floor. She then turned to stare at the Master with rage in her eyes.

"YOU!" screamed Yunan, pointing at the Time Lord.

The Master then looked at the Core, furiously. "Why didn't you restrain her?!" he said, on the verge of exploding as he then turned his head towards the other two robots. "And why didn't you do anything?!"

"THE FEMALE AMPHIBIAN WAS NOT AN ACTIVE THREAT," replied the Core. "OUR PRIORITIES WERE TO INITIATE YOUR FINAL PHASE AND PROTECT YOU FROM ANY ACTIVE THREATS."

"Typical," grumbled the Master, before sighing. "Regardless it is not going to matter. Begin transmitting the delta wave!"

"NOT POSSIBLE MASTER," responded the Core. "THE DELTA WAVE GENERATOR IS ONLY AT THIRTY-FIVE PERCENT STRENGTH."

This infuriated the Time Lord groaning as he rubbed his temples in frustration. "Fine!" he said. "Summon reinforcements to take care of Ms. Boonchuy and her friends. Make sure that the two Sundews are kept alive and unharmed. I am really looking forward to their tea in the future."

"AND WHAT OF MARCY WU?" asked Frobo, pointing in the direction of the Newtopian girl.

The Master then turned to look at Marcy. Unlike the rest of the group who were standing up, Marcy was still on her knees with her face facing the floor. Her eyes still dropped tears to the ground as she gave a sniff unable to look anyone directly in the eye.

"Don't bother wasting your time on her," responded the Master, uncaring. "She's is of no threat at the moment."

"I OBEY!" responded Frobo. "ALL HAIL THE MASTER!"

Suddenly the windows in the throne room began to shatter as bronze and silver Frobots flew in to reinforce Frobo and the Cloak-Bot. Anne and her friends got into defensive positions, ready for the upcoming battle as the Master's troops aimed their weapons at them.

"DEATH TO THE ENEMIES OF THE MASTER!"

Note: Hi, everyone. Here is part two. Thanks for your patience and sorry about the delay. Started a new job that requires me to start earlier in the morning and work longer hours so chapter uploads will be slower, unfortunately. Also just for reference, the Master's bronze Frobots are based on the Time War era Dalek design while the silver Frobots are based on the KSI Boss/Nitro Zeus design. See you in part three.
