It is my first Harry Potter story. Will be Harry/Multi (Harem) and probably Neville/Multi. It will start at the beginning of the third year. Slow build-up. A smarter Harry and more friends. Earlier real friends with Neville and Ginny. Can be long between updates. Bashing RW/AD/?. We have reached the fourth year how will the earlier changes change the tournament and relationships?

40. The end of the third year, Sirius learni

I want to warn you that this is a very large chapter as I want to end the third year as I promised.

As the answer to the guest review from Ceegee, I don't know when I finish this story my original plan is to go beyond Voldemort's defeat but in this story, I will go to the end of the fourth year and then close this story and start a sequel.

I thought about answering it here so if others have the same kind of question they also know. Without furth ado here is chapter 40 the last chapter of the third year.

Chapter 40 The end of the third year, Sirius learnings begin

17th June 1994, outside DADA exam room, third floor, Hogwarts

Just as Harry round the corner he sees Megan Jones walk into the room. Harry sees a lot of his year. Harry walks closer and is almost certain that everybody that hasn't taken the exam yet was already here. It took a little over 10 minutes before Professor Lupin opens the door and ask for Su Li, a Ravenclaw. Harry decides to wait as he was trying to calm down the very anxious Neville who was standing with Dean, Ron, Parvati and Padma.

Harry was anxious about Hermione and wants to go to her quickly but he decides to put more trust in Professor especially as he wants to help Neville a lot as he has been a better friend in the last two years and wants to repay him for the help Neville give Harry with herbology and Neville made it a bit of fun not that Professor Sprout doesn't but with Malfoy in the class, he couldn't really focus on the class.

Almost at the 10-minute mark, the door opened and Remus asks for Neville. Harry slaps him on his back and gave him one last support. He sees Neville walk to the door and stumbled hitting the door with his face which would certainly leave a large bruise managed to not fall down but it still what got a large laugh from almost all the students that were left. Harry didn't like that as the low self-esteem Neville manage to gather was gone the moment everybody laughs …. well, most do.

Harry doesn't as does Parvati. Dean smiles and chuckles a bit but Ron was laughing as one of the hardest and of course Malfoy did but as his goons weren't with him Malfoy say nothing but was the hardest laughing together with another Slytherin Harry recognised as Theodore Nott not one of Malfoy's goons but certainly second to Malfoy as he sees Crabbe and Goyle be with Nott if they aren't with Malfoy which was rarely. He saw it last year (second year) when Malfoy needed to stay in the hospital wing for a few hours after the Quidditch match until after dinner and Crabbe and Goyle left with Nott and came back with Nott both one of Nott's sides a step behind him just like they do to Malfoy.

It took almost 15 minutes until Professor Lupin asks for Isobel MacDougal the first of the MacDougal twins. She like her sister is a Ravenclaw. Harry asks before Isobel is by the door "Mo…. Professor Lupin is it possible I could go now there is something important I really need to do soon therefore I prefer if Isobel doesn't mind that I go now."

Isobel stops walking. Professor Lupin says "I am sorry Harry…. I mean Mr. Potter but I asked if you agree to go as last yesterday and you didn't mind. As much as I wouldn't mind letting you go right now it wouldn't be fair to Miss MacDougal also we haven't reached the P yet but as you agreed you go as last, I am sorry. If it is something important regarding your education I am sure it would have been notified by your head of house Professor McGonagall which I have been not. Now, Miss MacDougal is you please."

Isobel starts walking and enters through the door to start her exam. Harry sees one after another go. Ron's took almost as long as Neville before the last one was called in Blaise Zabini. After he was done Harry was up.

17th June 1994, DADA Exam room, Third Floor, Hogwarts

Neville steps through the door but before he closes he looks at Harry would give him an encouraging smile and notice that some others glare at those who laughed at him which makes him feel a bit better, however, nowhere close to before he hurt himself.

Professor Lupin gives a small explanation of what the obstacle course contains including telling Neville what to do about the wall and the web as Neville is a pureblood. If Frank was able Neville would have known but Remus knew that both of Neville's parents were not able. Remus told nothing about the doors or what he would encounter. Remus told him he needs to push the block out of the way then he needs to look up to know what to do and then just continue further in and then it would be made clear what to do.

Neville had little trouble with pushing the block away. He had trouble hitting the targets but before Professor Lupin needed to intervene he hit all the targets. He advances to the pool with the Grindylow. When he walks into the deep paddling pool he is pulled down under the water. Professor Lupin immediately wants to help. When he looks into the pool he sees Neville trying to cast underwater after he manages the Grindylow off his legs. Neville doesn't manage under the water to cast and stands up. As he stands up, the Grindylow attacks him again but Neville suspected that. As he had to stand up he is clearly above the water and cast a spell at the Grindylow that works as he can cast above the water. The Grindylow immediately let go when he was hit and got to circle Neville to attack when he feels he could. Neville walks quickly to the other side so he can exit and continue with the exam.

Neville manages to defeat the redcaps in the potholes but the last two were quite difficult. Neville barely manages to get past the red caps without injury. After the potholes, he sees a door.

He touches the door and immediately starts dancing. He needs to try three times before he manages to undo the hex. He cast "Finite Incactatum" and the door lights up for a moment. Neville tries the door again and this time he doesn't start dancing and continues.

He steps into a marsh. He steps into a large puddle most students avoid not that it matters much. Neville looks around and sees a light up ahead. As he closes the light spring to the next light to the left in almost a hypnotic way. Neville put one step before he stops and follows the path instead of following the light. Neville seems a bit in a daze from the hypnotic jump but manages to push through when sees a tree trunk.

He crawls to the large tree trunk so it was easy to crawl through it. After the trunk, he sees a wall and clumsy jumps up but only gets the rope after his second jump. He uses the rope and his foot on the wall to walk up to what works. After the wall, he sees the web and crawls under it. He gets caught two times. The first time Professor Lupin freed him the second time Neville asks Professor Lupin if he could try it himself. Neville succeeds after three times after Professor Lupin shows him how.

After the web he sees a door, Neville touches the door handle and the minor curse hit him. The curse is the leg-locker curse. Professor Lupin never uses the more dangerous curses on the door not even in the sixth year's obstacle course got much stronger curses. Neville immediately cast the counter curse which works but needs to cast four times on the door before the curse breaks and he can pass.

After the door and a hallway, he enters a room with a large heavily moving trunk. The trunk opened and as expected Professor Snape walks out of the trunk. Neville does the same as the first lesson about the Boggart and Neville manages to laugh when he suddenly hears hard but also much laughter from the side of the room and sees Professor Lupin, Professor Flitwick, Professor Sprout and Professor Sinistra.

17th June 1994, Backroom DADA exam room, Third Floor, Hogwarts

Professor McGonagall was in the backroom trying to calm Hermione down and talk to her. She wants to know why Hermione's boggart first was her according to Remus and apologize if necessary and also why it suddenly changed to Harry. Professor McGonagall mostly wants to know if Hermione loves Harry but she knew that the question would be too blunt and the change that Hermione answers yes or the truth is very small not because she isn't certain but more that she is insecure about herself, thinking Harry would never return the feeling or she is afraid what Professor McGonagall would say or even tell Harry about her feelings. Professor McGonagall wants to know not if but more about when she loves Harry and if the boggart is any indication.

Professor McGonagall thinks 'I need to know even though I trust Miss Gra…. Hermione, however, as god grandmother Harry deserves a girl who loves him for him, not the-boy-who-lived. As his god grandmother and therefore the only family that cares about him left although Remus keeps telling me that Sirius is innocent but Remus is biased even if Harry has his godfather he isn't here so it is up to me. I want Sirius to be innocent but I would not trust anyone else until I can talk to Sirius and he tells me the truth about what really has happened. Anyway, I hope Remus speaks the truth for Harry's sake. I have no reason to not trust Remus. Besides Hermione Ginny also seems to love Harry. Harry obviously got the same as James, however, James could never convince Lily or better said Lily wanted to wait until you-know-who was gone before she would decide or at least talk to James arguments which were sound.'

'Let's just hope Hermione as she is much like Lily at least listens to Harry or a magical raised person that can explain it better than Harry. I would love to even if it is only to help Harry or make Hermione see that Harry needs to but would not love her any less than the other wives. I don't know if Harry loves Hermione but he obviously cares a lot about her. We will see how the next couple of years will develop and I will keep a good eye on them no matter what Albus says. I let Albus dictate my actions towards Harry for the first two years not to mention the 10 years before that and I accepted what Dumbledore said, however, it still doesn't feel right. For following Dumbledore's words and listening to him almost feels like obeying him I feel ashamed not only to Harry but also to my godson James and one of my all-time favourite students Lily like I failed James and Lily.'

'Maybe I should just ask Hermione about her feelings so I can help Harry if Hermione loves Harry and Ginny does just like Ginny said at the beginning of the year and it didn't seem to diminish but rather grow exponentially. I don't know if I should feel happy for Harry or think more in the line of poor Harry, but that doesn't matter if I don't ask Hermione. I going to ask her for Harry's sake and show her she can trust me if she answers yes I am not going to tell Harry at least not yet to give her change and will be honest with her that I will give her the change.'

Professor McGonagall suddenly is surprised as the door opens and Neville walks in. Professor McGonagall watches interrogatively at Neville. Professor McGonagall looks unintentionally mad as she immediately goes to her indifferent face so uses it for most students although Neville is closing into Harry as a very good friend so Neville also becomes a bit closer to Minerva. She feels a bit worse when Neville shudders before he says "Professor Lupin asks me to stay here until the end of the exam as he wants to talk to me after the exams but told me I passed the practical and theoretical exam. He didn't say why as he went to get the next one. I hope I don't interrupt something important Professor McGonagall or you Hermione."

Professor McGonagall gave a small smile and says "of course not Mr. Longbottom why don't you sit down? Do you want some tea or something else?"

Neville accepts some tea while Professor McGonagall thought 'well now I certainly won't get an answer from Hermione about her feelings for Harry. Maybe it is better if I let her figure it out on her own for now after this year there as still, four years left so she has enough time. I will not intervene, but Harry has trouble with emotional stuff I have noticed so if Hermione hasn't said anything after her OWL's before the end of the fifth year I may need to talk to Hermione, but I must at least ask Ginny too, but that is of later concern.'

Professor McGonagall heard every word Hermione said before Neville came in because she and Hermione were enjoying their tea and also to let Hermione calm down more. Professor McGonagall sees Hermione and Neville talk and sees it was nothing more than a very good friend for what she is happy for, for two reasons. Neville seems more than happy with that. She hasn't heard one word after Neville sat down for some tea as she was thinking but she sees the friendship not the love like Hermione has when she talks with Harry or before Neville entered as they talk about Harry. The joy and love in her eyes thinking about Harry were just so adorable and cute. Sometimes she misses being so young.

17th June 1994, DADA Exam Room, Third floor, Hogwarts

Almost three and half hours after Neville went in Harry was finally up. He was the last at Remus's request. Harry didn't know why but he just wants to do the exam as quick as possible to find Hermione and see if she is right. He doesn't know why but feels that she has calmed down but he wouldn't believe it until he sees it. On the other hand, he feels someone else being content and borderline happy but he is sure it isn't his feelings as he is not content he is more anxious than anything else.

He has entered the room and Remus told him about the first two objects mean pushing the large block to the side and then hitting the targets at the ceiling before continuing.

Harry starts and with a simple spell, the large block is pushed to the side. He looks up and with one spell he hit all the targets with red sparks. He walks on and enters the deep paddling pool. He suddenly feels a tug on his leg but he remains standing. Harry looks at his leg and sees the Grindylow trying to make Harry fall. Harry feels the Grindylow is increasing its strength and he needs to move his leg or he would have fallen. Harry points his wand and immediately cast the Revulsion Jinx to make the Grindylow lose his grip. As soon as that happens he cast the Banishing Charm that pushes the Grindylow hard against the wall of the pool. The Grindylow attacks, again and again, Harry pushes the Grindylow away. This time the Grindylow doesn't attack again and almost cowers against the wall.

Harry hears Professor Lupin says "as yes Harry can you stun him it would be easier for me to put him back in the aquarium before returning him to the lake."

Harry nods and casts the stunning charm that severely dazes the Grindylow being almost stunned as the Grindylow is a bit larger than the birds Remus conjured during the training. Harry cast it again and the second time the Grindylow is completely knocked out.

Harry steps out of the deep paddling pool and sees the many potholes. He races through them defeating all the red caps with one spell very quickly but still uses the four ways Remus taught them. He could have used the fifth one but that could tire him and would take a bit more time. He didn't want to wait as he needs to see Hermione. He needs to make sure she is okay, see if he was right to trust Professor McGonagall and allow himself to trust Professor McGonagall as he finds Professor McGonagall much more involved and trusting Harry than in the first two years.

Harry continues and sees a door but somehow he feels that something is not right. He cast a simple "Alohomora" and sees that the door stays closed. He noticed that the door glows when he cast "Alohomora" and knows that the door is jinxed. He cast "Finite Incantatem" before he grabs the door handle and continues.

Harry sees a light down the path and as he barely reaches the light comes out of the lantern. The lights move hypnotically in front of his face before it moves to the left in a hypnotic way off the path. Harry knows it is a Hinkypunk. Harry sees it but shrugs and follows the path as he has never seen the Hinkypunk. That shows a great deal of willpower and magical power as even the Professors further away needed to blink at least three times to not walk to the Hinkypunk and follow it to your demise. Most of the students follow a few steps until they feel the water rising around their legs as the Hinkypunk wants you to follow deeper into the marsh.

A couple of students like Ron, Crabbe and Goyle follow the Hinkypunk without stopping. If the marsh was real they would have died. Professor Lupin gave them the chance to break free but they never came close. Malfoy was almost the same but manages to break free after he stumbled and fell into the water face first. The same happened to Crabbe but still followed the Hinkypunk after it. Ron and Goyle stumbled but stay upright and were still entranced by the Hinkypunk.

Harry sees the tree trunk and immediately crawls to it. When he has crawled through it he sees the wall and with one moment of thinking he runs to the wall grabs the rope and walks up over the wall. He jumps down and sees the web still moving at an impressive rate he almost dives under the web and starts crawling like crazy. The sticking charm is barely halfway along with the web and the web trying to catch isn't even halfway when Harry crawls the last inches before standing up.

He sees another door and without thinking casts "Finite Incantatem" on the door and sees the door glow before it disappears. Harry waits for a second looking at the door and then grabs the doorhandle opening it without getting hit by the curse. Remus didn't tell anyone but used more power on that curse than on the other students.

The other students would have never dispelled the curse with only one spell but Harry did. Remus was very proud of his cub and knows James and Lily would be too not to mention Sirius. If or maybe better said when he meets Sirius again what Remus plans to do in the upcoming summer even if Sirius is most probably out of the country if he knew Sirius and according to what Harry told him the next day after Remus came back on the 7th when he knew he could continue teaching DADA for almost two weeks although he needs to stay at the Three Broomstick even though Hogwarts paid. Anyway, Sirius will be very proud too if not more than James and Lily would have been.

Harry walks to the hallway when he reaches a large room with a heavily moving trunk. Harry can barely suppress laughing as he already suspected the boggart being the last obstacle. As soon as the trunks open the air becomes ice cold and you can almost see the despair in the air because of the sudden appearance of a Dementor even if it was a boggart.

Professor McGonagall who wants to be present when Harry was going through the obstacle course while Hermione and Neville were still in the backroom had immediately put her wand in her hand. Professor Flitwick and Professor Lupin did the same while Professor Sprout and Professor Sinistra had their hand on their wand but haven't drawn them yet.

Harry cast "Riddikulus" and suddenly a large gust of wind was in the room making the cloak covering the Dementor's head what makes the Dementor panic. The Professors and Harry snicker. The boggart Dementor floated to the side hitting the wall before falling as the boggart wanted to flee but not back into the trunk. Seeing the boggart Dementor hitting the wall makes everyone laugh loudly before Professor Lupin forces the boggart back into the trunk.

Professor Lupin asks "that was good Harry. However, I was wondering if you can show the other Professors your Patronus if you want we can do it without the boggart. Otherwise, I need a minute to get another boggart as this boggart is probably very tired from all the changing even though he had 10 to 15 minutes between each change well except with you."

Harry says "I don't care if it is with or without a boggart."

Professor Lupin says "that is great if you give me a minute."

Professor Lupin walks into the backroom and was almost five minutes later back with a large wardrobe that was shaking. Professor Lupin kept the wardrobe in his office as he wasn't allowed to use it as all of his free time was in Hogsmeade and was only at Hogwarts for class and lunch.

Remus put the trunk to the side and waves his wand to open the wardrobe and the boggart comes out as a dementor that was stronger than the other boggart although nowhere near a real dementor but it was the best they had. Harry points his wand and cast "Expecto Patronum" revealing the stag.

The stag pushes without even trying the boggart back into the wardrobe that Professor Lupin immediately close. The stag runs around before walking towards Harry. The stag pushes his head against Harry before disappearing.

All the Professors expect Remus to look surprised as a thirteen-year-old cast a corporeal powerful Patronus without too much difficulty it seems as if Harry is not looking tired at all except for what they saw when he came here after the obstacle course. He looks a bit tired and after the Patronus, he doesn't look worse.

Remus says "wonderful Harry simply wonderful."

Professor McGonagall feels very proud of her godgrandson and knew his parents would be too.

Harry was already rushing to the door when Professor McGonagall says "Mr. Potter, Miss Granger is still here if you follow me."

Harry immediately stops and runs towards Professor McGonagall. Professor McGonagall leads Harry, Professor Flitwick and Professor Lupin to the backroom. Professor Sprout and Professor Sinistra had other duties they need to attend to so they left the group.

Harry had rushed the obstacle course as he had completed the entire obstacle course in just a little over 6 minutes. Professor Lupin thought that even he couldn't finish it that fast with his increased speed and adult magical core.

17th June 1994, backroom DADA exam room, third floor, Hogwarts

As soon as they enter they see Hermione barely is restraining herself to run to Harry and remain seated.

Professor Lupin says "if none of you mind I would like to Harry for a moment."

None of the professors seems to mind and takes Harry to the far side of the room to not be overheard.

Professor Lupin says "as I need to leave soon I would like to before I go, you tell me about your Patronus."

Harry smiles as he says "well, at first I thought it was a horse, or perhaps a unicorn, but I think it was as you saw…"

Professor Lupin gave a very large smile as he says "a stag."

Harry only nods and says "yes."

Professor Lupin says happy telling Harry about his father one of Lupin's best friends "your father used to transform into one. That's how he was able to keep me company when I became... sick. He was a great friend James. It is also the reason Sirius is an Animagus, Sirius is like you saw a large black dog often confused with the Grimm."

Professor Lupin gave a large smile while it seems he was lost in thoughts when he suddenly continues "there are stories about him and your mother, you know. Some are even true. But I think it's safe to say, in the end, you'll know them best by getting to know yourself. I will tell you though that on the map I am Moony, Sirius is Padfoot, the rat is Wormtail and your father is the creator and inventor with quite a lot of help from me and a small part from Sirius while the rat didn't do anything to help was called Prongs. Your father said something he got a map from something else but I don't remember where he had a similar map from. I helped Prongs with runes and making it work without lying while Padfoot helped Prongs with ways to protect the contents like needing a password as the map needed but also the reason when Professor Snape tried to read it the charm didn't work. Prongs did most of the work by far but like I said to me and Padfoot helped."

Professor Lupin says "keep the map Harry as is kind of an heirloom from your father and the Marauders. You are the only Marauder's heir so it is right you should have it. Now let's join the others."

Harry nods before both are slowly walking toward the others.

Harry sees that Hermione, Neville, Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick were drinking their drink but other than that didn't talk. Harry was wondering why Hermione was still here as she looks much better than when he left her. He was also wondering why Neville is here.

Professor McGonagall sees Harry smile a bit and was happy before she says "Remus and Harry please take a seat."

Professor McGonagall wave her wand and conjure comfy seats one was very close to Hermione's chair and the other was next to her. Remus immediately takes the chair next to her before Harry could decide where he was going to sit.

Professor McGonagall asks "Mr. Longbottom can please show us your wand? It was this wand right Remus?"

Remus nods while Neville grabs his wand. He shows it to Professor McGonagall. Remus asks if he can hold it what Neville allows. Remus shows it to Professor McGonagall.

After a few minutes, Professor McGonagall asks "Mr. Longbottom is this your wand?"

Neville nods. Professor Lupin, Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick look back as Professor McGonagall asks "what do you see Remus?"

Remus points some points and says "it looks like ash wood, chestnut wood of hornbeam wood. You need to ask Ollivander which wood it is. Mr. Longbottom, can you tell me what kind of wood this is?"

Neville nods and says "it is an ash wand."

Remus nods and says "ah yes and if I am not mistaken a unicorn tail hair am I right?"

Neville nods. Remus says "I have seen this wand before and I am sure Minerva that you and Filius do too."

Professor Flitwick asks "what do you mean Remus?"

Remus says "with the wood, the core and then this length not mentioning a small scratch here and there some by fighting that doesn't damage the wand and is more like a remainder. This is not the wand Mr. Longbottom has chosen or like Ollivander would have said this wand has not chosen Mr. Longbottom or at least not this Mr. Longbottom. This is the wand of Frank Longbottom."

Remus turns to Neville and half asking and half saying "it is your father's wand if I am right?"

Neville looks to the ground and says "yes, my grandmother said that it was good enough for my father it is good enough for me."

Professor McGonagall stands up angrily and almost shouts "Augusta you stupid witch. Give your grandson your son's wand that clearly does not suit him. The unicorn tail or ash wood may suit Mr. Longbottom at least a bit otherwise he wouldn't have been able to cast the most simple spells he also has trouble with and need to use more power I guess to have them work."

Professor McGonagall stops shouting and says in her normal voice "that is why he has trouble with most of the magic as ash wood doesn't work well if gifted away from his original owner. Don't worry Neville I will talk to Augusta to try to convince her to go to Ollivander where you get a wand that will choose you."

Neville says "my grandmother said that I must be happy to use my father's wand as I won't get any other."

Soon they were talking about other things until Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick needed to go as they had other things to attend to and Professor Lupin would go to the Three Broomstick to rest a bit before dinner.

19th June 1994, Gryffindor Common Room, Hogwarts

It was late at night and again Hermione wasn't asleep but studying for muggle studies. The exam was in two days and everything she knew about the muggle world, her world seems wrong according to muggle studies. Her knowledge about the muggle world needs to be dumb downed and what the wizarding world sees as the truth, not what the truth really is. She knew she knows the truth about the muggle world, but to pass the exam she must be wrong about the muggle world or at least heavily outdated.

She was happy she didn't follow divination anymore as part of the exam was keeping a dream journal and trying to find out what the dreams mean which is mostly woolly and a lot of guesswork. Also, her dreams are her own and certainly not suited to be dissected to find out what they mean. She knows what they mean. She didn't need Professor Trelawney looking at things that aren't there as her dreams were quite clear to want they mean and what she wants more than everything in the world even more than books.

Suddenly she hears footsteps. She turns around and suspected Vanessa as she has always been the one to catch her but it wasn't her it is Harry.

Hermione asks "good morning Harry what are you doing up?"

Harry says "I should be asking you that. It isn't morning it is 3:43 (am) at night Hermione. I know it is Sunday but you need your sleep. As to why I am awake I kind of knew you were."

Harry recognize the coursebook about muggle studies and thought now is as good time as ever to talk to her about muggle studies, especially since she doesn't need it.

Hermione yawns before she says "I can't sleep and I need to prepare for muggle studies."

Harry doesn't know Hermione can't sleep because of her dreams that were happy dreams that woke her up with arousal or her happy dreams turning into nightmares. She knows she loves Harry and her dreams show that every night, but the nightmare was that Harry left her or that Ginny hates her for it including her new (girl)friends. Some of the happy dreams woke her up because she was soaked and as she was only 14 she thinks she is a pervert especially as the loosest girl she knows Lavender sometimes wakes up soaked and Hermione thinks she has woken up soaked more times than her by now. She isn't sure but she also thinks she is wetter than Lavander ever woke up after an arousing dream.

Harry says "Hermione you don't need muggle studies. You said it yourself it is heavily outdated and you don't learn anything."

Hermione continues reading while she says "I know Harry but….."

Harry interrupts and confidently says "NO Hermione. I understand your quest for knowledge but even you know that if you only learn things that had already happened or happened differently then the wizarding world thinks you don't learn anything."

Hermione stops reading and whines "but Harry….."

Harry interrupts Hermione again "Hermione this isn't good for you. You need your rest especially if you want to stay on top of the class which I know you can do."

Hermione bits her underlip knowing Harry is right. Harry barely resist a small groan at seeing her like this. Hermione is in her pyjama but it was a bit tighter around her chest and arse than earlier this year as she has filled out a bit, but not tight enough that it was too small or showed more of her body which she never wants. That is one of the reasons she looks underdeveloped in her school robes. However, if you remove her robes she looks a bit more developed in her school clothes, but Hermione somehow makes her still look not overly developed while she is.

Hermione says after a few minutes biting her underlip "you are right Harry. I can take OWL's for muggle studies without following the class. I can be done but almost nobody ever does. The same goes for NEWT's. As muggle raised it should be able to do it. I can ask Professor McGonagall about that."

Harry smiles and says "okay Hermione and let's go to bed now. It is late."

Hermione says "I can't Harry. Even if I stop with muggle studies I still want to take this year's exam or I took the class for nothing and I still need to prepare for charms and ancient runes. We may have completed our object I still need to revise all the runes and I must not forget potions."

Harry who is standing next to Hermione and grabs the book before closing it and lying it on the table. When Hermione wants to grab the book again Harry grabs her wrist to prevent her from doing so. Harry pulls her up and walks over to the couch dragging Hermione with her. Harry sits down and pulls Hermione to sit beside him. As soon as she sits down even though she didn't want to not because she sits next to Harry she likes that very much but more because she wants or in her eyes needs to study more. The moment she sits down her tiredness hit her and she heavily yawns. It looks like she hasn't slept in ages.

Without her knowing she did she had put her head on Harry's shoulder. She faintly feels someone waking up and not long after she falls asleep on Harry's shoulder. It took a few minutes before Harry notices. A few minutes later he wants to call Dobby when he is sure Hermione sleeps deeply, however, he hears small footsteps coming down. He tries to turn around but when Hermione in her sleep grabs Harry when she feels him pull away. The person walks into the Common Room and walks to the couch. The person stands to the side. Harry can now look without needing to turn. Hermione has her arms wrapped around him across his chest.

Harry looks and sees it is Ginny as just like Hermione he had felt someone waking up. Ginny stands and when Harry sees her tired face he whispers and says "Ginny why are you awake?"

Ginny blushes a bit when Harry suddenly remembers it has been a little over the year after the basilisk. He asks "the chamber?"

Ginny nods and he opens his left arm Hermione is on his right keeping his right arm pinned between her breast although she does it unknowingly. Harry noticed at first but is now focused on Ginny. Ginny sits down and put his arm across her shoulder and tries to give her a one-armed hug to make her feel better. Harry didn't know that Ginny feels better being even close to Harry not to mention save. Now being right next to him and feeling one of his arms she feels very happy she is almost sure she had never been happier in her life to this point.

Harry is happy Ginny seems to relax and calm down. They sit for that for a long time especially as Hermione sleeps. Harry doesn't mind as she looked a bit tired before her whole tiredness hit her. Ginny also put her head on Harry's other shoulder as Harry leans back to the back of the couch. Ginny is finally able to feel safe and calm, she falls almost immediately asleep as she hasn't been able to have a good sleep in a couple of weeks since a week before the first anniversary of the chamber. She managed to fall asleep but she had nightmares and if she managed to sleep until the morning she woke up crying and it was never restful.

Other times she woke up very early and didn't manage to fall asleep because of the nightmares mostly it was Harry dying, Hermione never being unpetrified and if it happens she also dies most by a bite while Harry gets eaten and she is blamed by everyone even by Luna. The weird part was when Luna blamed her Luna didn't blame her for being controlled but for destroying their future and killing their future husband. The one they both love and the only one that could make them happy even if he is with more at least that is what dream Luna said. Ginny didn't think much about it as she knew multiple girls are interested in Harry some older, some younger, some the same age not that it matters.

Ginny hopes she will be the one to steal Harry's heart but since becoming friends with Hermione and Luna not mentioning the better year she feels a little bad about trying to steal Harry away from Hermione and Luna. She knows Hermione feels something for Harry also Ginny isn't sure if it is love, being best friends or the strongest loving brother-sister relationship like she has with Bill and Charlie. The other relationship is more fun teasing one with the twins and sometimes Charlie while Percy and Ron are her brothers nothing more she was a bit close with Ron but not anymore as he turned into a git most of the time in Hogwarts which now also happened at home many times last summer on everything except the basilisk.

She didn't know if Luna does but she wouldn't be surprised if Luna does and that hurt her also a bit although Ginny wouldn't mind sharing Harry with Luna or Hermione as they are almost sisters sharing Harry they will be her sister-wives. Sure she would like to have Harry alone for her. She would like to have Harry alone for a while if she has to share but only if she needs to or if Harry loves her but also others what she almost expects. Ginny knew from Hermione what happened when Sirius escaped as did Neville. Hermione decides to tell as Hermione (and Harry) trusts her and Neville. Hermione wanted to tell them as it would be too hard for Harry or at least Ginny thought so and Hermione said the same.

Ginny wants to tell Luna but Hermione asked her not to and if Luna asks her to bring Luna to her to decide then, not that Luna asked. Luna did say to Ginny that Harry knows the truth, that Harry's family grows and Buckbeak and Sirius are good friends to each other and Harry. Ginny didn't know how but Luna knew what has happened without saying she did or how to expect something about Nargles. Ginny listened about more Nargles and Wrackspurts to try to be a better friend including reading the Quibbler which doesn't make sense most of the time and is funny although some things seem mostly true or at least possible and not farfetched.

It doesn't take long for Ginny to also falls asleep on his shoulder. Instead of putting her arms around Harry as Hermione does she grabs his shirt tightly and pulls it against her. As the shirt smells like Harry immediately happy dreams enter Ginny's mind mostly innocent not going father than snogging or her straddling him while snogging him and some thought about marrying him and having his children living happily ever after. A very few times she saw Luna or Hermione also snog him holding their children while pregnant with Harry's second child both of them or holding a girl with red hair obviously Ginny's child. She sometimes saw other girls but they were not snogging Harry.

19th June 1994, Gryffindor Common Room, Hogwarts

Harry wakes up as he hears his name being called. He opens his eyes and sees Neville has been calling his name. He wants to move when he feels two things holding him down. He looks and sees on his right Hermione tighten her grip and on his left Ginny holding his shirt also tighter almost ripping the shirt to keep him where he is.

Harry sees that they are both still asleep and sees a large smile on Neville's face. Harry asks almost whispering "Neville can you help me?"

Neville smiles "sorry Harry I tried but when I went to help you and try to move Hermione or Ginny they just tighten their grip. You are lucky most of the others are still asleep especially the Weasley's or … uuuhhhh never mind."

Harry wants to ask what Neville means when he hears "well, well Harrykins."

As a second almost similar voice says "he has got himself two birds."

Harry says "it is not like that Fred and George."

One of the twins says "sure it isn't."

The other says "it seems ickle Ginny got …"

Suddenly Ginny jumps up with her wand and cast the bat bogey charm at the twins. Ginny almost hisses "don't call me that."

Twins get hit but as she is still a second-year there weren't bats flying out of her nose but make them have a heavy running nose. Almost like they have a heavy cold.

Ginny sees a few first years coming down and some upper years before noticing Neville behind her. She sees she is in the common room and she holds Harry's shirt only a second before. As she jumps up she almost drags Harry along which makes him end up lying with his back on the couch. That makes Hermione wake up as she falls off the couch.

Ginny blushes but feels very restful for the first time in a couple of weeks. Hermione grunts "ouch. What am I doing here?"

She sees Neville, immediately stands up and looks around to also heavily blush. She sees the chasers from the Gryffindor team while Alicia and Angelina smile she sees that Katie looks crestfallen before looking to the ground. It looks like she is crying before she quickly leaves the common room almost immediately followed by Angelina and Alicia that gave Hermione a weak smile. Hermione immediately goes up to her dorm hoping none of the other girls is awake and she is in luck.

Ginny goes to her dorm less than 10 seconds after Hermione goes up the stairs. Harry rubs his neck before he mumbles to Neville "I go get ready. See you in a bit?"

Neville nods and went to sit down where he notices Hermione's book for muggle studies. He was glad he didn't decide to take it according to Ron and Hermione. He can learn more from talking with muggleborns or muggles raised like Hermione or Harry.

22nd June 1994, Moaning Myrtle lavatory, second floor, Hogwarts

Harry quickly walks into the lavatory and to the side as he sees Malfoy rounding the corner where he was just seconds ago. He wasn't sure at first but now he was Malfoy was following him. Malfoy was doing the last two days after every exam. Harry expects Malfoy to do something that was against the rule or to ambush him.

He feels a presence behind him and sees a heavily smiling Astoria almost staring at him while she stands very close by almost like Dobby if Harry was asleep. He can clearly see Astoria's blue eyes like Daphne's but a bit different. He gave a small smile and says "hey."

Astoria gave a large smile and says "hello Harry."

Harry almost thought Astoria was ready to jump at him although Harry couldn't think why she would.

Astoria raises her voice a little and says "Daphne Harry is here."

Apparently, Myrtle also heard her as she rushes out of her toilet float to his side as she says "hello Harry, I am happy you came to visit me again I was afraid you have forgotten me."

Harry felt a bit unconformable says "I just have been busy Myrtle and some of the times when I came here I didn't see you. I was afraid if I called for you I was interrupting something as I heard from Nearly Headless Nick that the ghosts sometimes come together and you are always present or at least most of the time."

Daphne and Tracey are looking at Harry as he normally talks to Moaning Myrtle and also why he would come talking to her or even why Moaning Myrtle was kind of friendly with a boy as she hates everyone, especially boys although she is never nice to girls.

Harry says "I need to talk to Daphne, Astoria and Tracey alone if you don't mind."

Myrtle pouts before saying "okay Harry but at least come see me once before the summer holiday?"

Harry says "I will call you when I am done with my business with Daphne, Astoria and Tracey as I may be quite busy until the summer but have some time for you today, okay?"

Myrtle nods and says "I will see you in a bit then."

Myrtle doesn't wait for an answer and dives into her toilet. As she isn't mad or unhappy despite the large splash the toilet doesn't flood over so the floor stays dry.

Harry says "Daphne you told me in the library yesterday you needed to speak to me. I guess it is about the potion?"

Daphne nods. She grabs five vials with the same liquid out of her robe pockets. She says "the potion is finished. I add everything but the tooth of the wolf. I noticed on the sixth of June when I was preparing more ingredients that the tooth changed when the moon shine on it. I don't know how you get it but the tooth of the wolf is a werewolf tooth. You said it will help the potion. I have crushed the tooth to powder."

She grabbed a small bag and says "in this bag is the powdered tooth of the wolf. I don't know if it really helps but a touch of powder in the vial should be enough to make it work. You may need a couple of minutes to let the powder be mixed with the vial to make it work. I do suggest if you add the tooth of the wolf during the full moon, especially make sure the powder is in the full moon when you add a touch of powder and let the vial stand in the light of the full moon while it mixes with the vial until you are certain the toothpowder is fully mixed with the potion."

"As I don't know for what I trust I don't find Malfoy dead and the ground tomorrow morning or the next day not that I would mind much but I never want to brew poison."

Harry gave her a large smile says "Daphne I gave you my word that it isn't poison and I always keep my word."

Daphne rolls her eyes to prevent herself from focusing on his smile too much as that would certainly make her blush

She says "anyway, if you are sure about the tooth of the wolf works because of the werewolf part then I suggest you use it tomorrow as Professor Dumbledore told all the students that tomorrow evening is the night of the full moon so I suggest doing it in the light of the full moon what you want to do with the potion, but I do suggest if you need to ingest the potion not using them all. As I don't know what the potion does I say not more than one unless you know what it exactly does and not it is not harmful you can do more but still, more than two is probably dangerous no matter what."

Harry put the vails and the bag with the powdered tooth of the wolf in his robe pockets. He smiles at her and says "don't worry Daphne I will be safe."

Daphne stammers "th-that is not … not … not the poi-point. I-I don't want to kill you or be accused of kill-killing you."

Daphne took a deep breath. She says "Tracey, Astoria let's go."

Right before Daphne steps out of the lavatory she says "Potter with this the debt of House Greengrass and Daphne Greengrass is repaid."

Harry nods. Daphne groans and says "you need to say it, Potter."

Harry asks "what do I need to say?"

Daphne says "you say I, you full name, hereby declare that the debt between I, again your full name and House Greengrass is repaid in full so I say so moth it be. After that, you do the same with my name as Daphne Greengrass you don't need my full name."

Harry says "oh okay I guess."

Harry took a breath before he says "I, Harry James Potter, hereby declare that the debt between I, Harry James Potter and House Greengrass is repaid in full. So I say it so moth it be."

Harry continues "I, Harry James Potter, hereby declare that the debt between I, Harry James Potter and Daphne Greengrass is repaid in full. So I say it so moth it be."

Daphne says "I, Daphne Greengrass from House Greengrass want to thank Heir Harry Potter from House Potter and am glad that the payment for the debt from I, Daphne Greengrass and House Greengrass to Heir Harry James Potter from House Potter is sufficient."

Daphne didn't need to do it so formal but she wondered if Harry knows about his family as he doesn't show anything about the marriage contract that was signed. If Dumbledore really is Harry's magical guardian and Regent Potter he would have first talked to Harry at least Daphne thinks so. Dumbledore would not sign it for Harry without his knowledge also as only fark families are known for that. Daphne knows some families that signed without mostly the daughter knowing about it and certainly not let her decide anything as not let into the talk. Daphne is fortunate her parents aren't dark so she hopes the contract isn't all about being submissive to the husband. Her parents haven't told her anything but will as soon as Harry and Regent Potter will talk to her and her parents so the wishes from Harry are met and hers too or at least that is what her father and mother said.

Harry says confusingly "Heir? House Potter?"

Daphne asks "you don't know?"

Harry shook his head but before Daphne can ask or tell something Tracey says "come to Daphne we need to go now."

Tracey drags Daphne away and Daphne let her as she was too surprised by what Harry said then to resist.

Harry shrugs as it wasn't important or Daphne would have said more at least he thought but on the other hand, Harry thinks 'well she doesn't like me so it probably doesn't really matter anyway. It is important she probably thinks something about me that isn't right as I am the-boy-who-lived but I just want to be Harry. If it is important I will hear it from Sirius, Remus, Professor McGonagall or Professor Dumbledore.'

Harry decides not to think about it to make sure the potion works he needs to do a few more things according to the book for Salazar Slytherin and there were still exams coming. He needs to do it fast as tomorrow is the full moon and that was according to Daphne the only change before the end of the school year. He needs to do it for the change when Uncle Vernon looks in his trunk and throws the filled vials away as it is abnormal like he finds anything magical to be. But first, he was going to have a friendly conversation with Myrtle. He calls for her and she almost immediately fly out of her toilet was already pouting it took too long and she almost thought he forgot about her again.

23rd June 1994, Chamber of secrets, beneath Hogwarts

Harry pops in with Dobby at his side. Harry didn't want to get caught by a Professor or prefects. Harry didn't know why but the curfew was still the same as before Sirius came and the dementors were around Hogwarts.

The mouth of Slytherin was already open, but he didn't see Medusa or any sign of where she may be.

Harry calls in Parseltongue §Medusa where are you?§

Harry suddenly hears §speaker, you return. Do you have found anything for my fangs I start to have a problem without? It doesn't feel right without my three large hook fangs and has only one left of them beside my others of course.§

Medusa slitter out of one of the pipes. Medusa is slithering closer to Harry and bows her head for Dobby. Dobby was still a little afraid and untrusting but as long as his master and friend, is safe he would not attack or bring Harry to safety unless ordered even before an attack.

Harry smiles and says §I have found a solution in the books from your master or in other words Salazar Slytherin. The question do you want to do it to regrow your fangs.§

Medusa nods and asks §what needs to be done?§

Harry asks §is there a safe clearing in the Forbidden Forest where we can see the full moon what should be tonight?§

Medusa thinks for a little bit until she nods and says §yes speaker it is not for from the forest line so we may need to be careful to not be seen, but one of the tunnels brings us very close.§

Harry says §lead the way Medusa.§

Harry starts to slither to the side. Harry says "Dobby follow me."

Dobby says "yes Master Harry."

After a few minutes, Medusa stops. Harry doesn't see an opening and asks §is something wrong with Medusa.§

Medusa shook her head before she says §no speaker but the way up is very steep. If you and elf Dobby climb on my back I can carry you up.§

Harry nods understandingly and says "Dobby we need to climb on her back."

Harry climbs on when Dobby just snap his finger and pops behind Harry. The moment Medusa feels both Dobby and Harry she start to slither up. Harry needs to hold himself on top of Medusa and try to hold onto her hard especially as Dobby hold onto Harry. It was a little over a minute when Harry sees they are in the forest however Medusa doesn't stop to let Harry get off.

A couple of minutes later Medusa stops in a clearing that is fully in the light from the full moon which is needed according to Daphne. Harry steps off with Dobby immediately behind him. Harry grabs the vials, the bag with powdered werewolf teeth and the book with the potion. Harry starts placing everything and opens the book when he hears a small hoot and a happy greeting thrill which fills Harry with a little bit of happiness.

Harry looks to the sound and sees Hedwig with Fawkes behind him flying towards him, Dobby and Medusa. Harry had everything placed on a small tree trunk that was perfectly straight so nothing will fall or spill.

Hedwig lands just beside Harry and Fawkes do the other side. Normally Hedwig lands on his shoulder. Fawkes may like it as he also did in the chamber last year. Harry looks in the book and sees that the potion needs a little bit of his blood and the familiar. He sees that if you add some powerful magical potential (potion) ingredients like Phoenix tears that it would give the familiar added protection from wounds to heal on their own.

Harry thinks 'is that why Fawkes is here or did Hedwig bring him here for that?'

Harry decides to focus back on the book to make sure he doesn't make a fault. Harry asks "Dobby I need a knife or something similar as I need to give some blood for it to work. Can you get me something like that?"

Dobby says while bowing "yes Master Harry" and pops out before returning within the minute with a small curved knife.

Harry asks "is the knife save Dobby?"

Dobby nods and says "yes Master Harry. Dobby made sure the knife is safe to use for Master Harry."

Harry nods as he trusts Dobby. Harry grabs the knife and puts it next to the book. As he opens the bag with powdered werewolf teeth he sees the powdered tooth change a bit and it almost looks like the powder almost doubled when the light of the full moon hit the teeth.

Harry opens one of the vials and grabs the knife. He slit the palm of his left hand and drops 7 drops of blood into the vial. He wants to add the tooth when Hedwig hoots. Harry says "if you are sure Hedwig."

Hedwig hoots. Harry doesn't add the tooth and turns to Medusa. Harry asks §Medusa I need some of your blood and venom. Hedwig says to add that to the potion for her I don't know why but she is sure.§

Medusa says §of course speaker. To get the venom you just need to put the vial to one of my fangs. For my blood, you need to make a small cut in my mouth as I don't think that the knife can cut somewhere else.§

Harry nods and grabs the vail. Medusa opens her mouth and Harry chooses the largest fang that is left of her upper teeth. After he has done that he grabs the knife and makes a small cut near the place of the lost upper tooth that he still has in his trunk. He also drops 7 drops of blood. Hedwig hoots and Harry says "alright."

Fawkes jump us the trunk and let seven drops fall in the vail. After that is done Hedwig opens one of her wings so Harry can pull a feather out. Harry tries to soothe Hedwig as he would never hurt her if he could. Hedwig almost doesn't feel anything and for that Hedwig affectionally nibs his finger with her feather in it. Harry put her feather in the vial. Harry closes the vail and heavily shakes the vial to make sure the new ingredients are mixed with the potion. It takes almost five minutes before Hedwig's feather has dissolved in the potion.

Harry opens the vial and says "okay now it says I need to drink half and you do the other half, Hedwig. Are you ready?"

Hedwig nods and jumps on his shoulder. Harry drinks half and then he feeds it to Hedwig. A light appears that could blind someone before it dies down after almost a full minute. Hedwig immediately jumps off Harry's shoulder after the light has died down. Harry falls backwards and Hedwig also falls to the ground.

It took almost an hour before Harry woke up with Hedwig somehow sitting on his chest like she is asleep. Almost half an hour later she wakes up jumps off his chest and bumps her head against his head. Harry starts to scratch her neck and she hoots happily. Harry somehow feels closer to Hedwig but besides that nothing really changes especially as she still understands Hedwig and what he already did before the potion. He doesn't hear her voice but does feel where she is if he closes his eyes and tries to feel for her after he stops scratching at her neck.

Harry still sees Fawkes, Medusa and a very anxious Dobby. He says "Dobby you look anxious is something wrong?"

Dobby says "Dobby was afraid for Master Harry, Master Harry. Dobby wanted to get help and get Madam Poppy, Professor Kitty or Master Harry's Miss Grangey. Dobby didn't know what to do when Fawkes somehow convinced Dobby to do not. Dobby is sorry for failing Master Harry."

Harry smiles and put one of his hand on Dobby's small shoulder and says "you didn't Dobby so don't punish yourself. Fawkes knew I was going to be okay but will only be knocked out for a bit. It may happen with Medusa. Just make sure that when I am out and Medusa may be too that we are not attacked. If we are attacked make sure to pop us to the chamber okay Dobby?"

Dobby nods enthusiastically before almost crying "yes Master Harry Dobby understands. Master is so good to Dobby."

Dobby wants to launch himself but can't at Harry as Harry is still seated and Dobby didn't want to do something that would make Harry hurt or stops him from bonding with Medusa.

Harry sees that the cut in his palm is already healed before he cut it open again and opens the vail before he again drops seven drops of blood into the new vial. Harry reads that when Salazar Slytherin did it with his first basilisk.

It isn't Medusa as Salazar Slytherin wrote that he put another young Basilisk in a secret place to protect something he holds dear and that can only be Hogwarts at least Harry thinks that although it could also be Helga Hufflepuff who stayed in Hogwarts until her death before being brought to a secret place to get buried. Rowena Ravenclaw stayed in school for a long time then left for a long time but spend her last days also in the castle. Godric Gryffindor was most of the time at Hogwarts.

After Salazar Slytherin left Godric was away a lot for many years at least that is what Salaar wrote until he read that after many years Godric has returned to Hogwarts and he hasn't heard that Godric will leave again and teach at school. He didn't live to survive Godric but Harry thinks that what happened to Helga also happened to Rowena and Godric. Salazar said that he went back one last time to place this grimoire with his second basilisk as the other basilisk wants to pass one with him and because of the bond she could. Harry know knows for sure it Medusa is the second basilisk and he means the Chamber of secrets.

Harry sees under the potions in hieroglyphs one important piece of information. For the snake to change the snake's form or in Salazar and Harry's case a basilisk and ingredient that can change forms or improves that ability needs to attend when it is changed from the normal form and must also be used when the ingredient is changed. Well it isn't needed but it would greatly improve and less stressful for the wizard and snake to change and keep the snake in the other form for a long period of time and if the wizard is powerful the snake will only change if the snake wants to or the wizard need the snake to change. Harry now understands why Dobby suggested the werewolf teeth.

Harry asks "Dobby did you know why we need the wolf tooth?"

Dobby shakes his head and says "no Master Harry. Dobby doesn't know but something told Dobby Master needs it."

Harry says "okay. I am very happy you did Dobby. I don't remember seeing this before maybe I didn't read it as the other hieroglyphs weren't important at least not at the moment."

Harry grabs the bag with powdered werewolf teeth and puts it in the vial. He says to Medusa §Medusa I think I need to add your potion and venom again to the potion again even for your own. If it works you may be able to stay close to me as you should turn into a smaller muggle looking snake.§

Medusa nods and opens her mouth. Harry uses the potion from the same fangs and sees that the cut is still open. He drops seven drops of blood and Hedwig hoots Harry nods again taking another feather from her to add to Medusa's potion. Harry nods and Fawkes again lets again seven tears drop in the vail. Harry shakes the vial after he closed it. Harry decides to wait five minutes as he did with Hedwig's potion before he opens it.

Harry says §Medusa we must both drink half of the vial. Like before we may pass out for a time.§

Medusa nods while she says §it is okay speaker, as it didn't hurt you or your familiar Hedwig. I think after this the bond that had started last year will also be completed and I will also be familiar with your speaker and may start to call you Master or owner. I hope that is okay?§

Harry says §I hope you don't do it but if you do it I am sure we will manage. I will drink it first and then I will feed the other half to you.§

Medusa nods and Harry drinks the first half and then feeds it to Medusa. The light starts again and Harry passes out what also happens to Medusa after the light died done almost five minutes after the light started.

It took almost an hour and a half before Harry groaned and another half an hour before he opens his eyes.

Fawkes gave a greeting thrill while Hedwig was again sleeping as it obviously took a lot of power from Hedwig. Harry feels tired too. Fortunately, he doesn't have an exam tomorrow as tomorrow was actually the DADA theory exam in the morning and the divination practical exam as it doesn't have a theory exam at least not like other classes tomorrow afternoon. If Ron was right the exam would consist of reading tea leaves and glass orbs things like that. The other part is keeping a dream journal. You need to send the dream journal in with a description of what different dreams could mean.

Harry looks a Medusa and sees that she is still passed out or at least not consciously. Harry is breathing trying to rest a bit as both bondings took a lot out of him. Fawkes flies to him and Hedwig hoots. Harry doesn't know why but opens his mouth. Fawkes thrills and lets seven teardrops fall in Harry's mouth that he needs to swallow it isn't to give his strength back. Hedwig says he needs to do it so Harry did without question. Hedwig then hoots to Harry for an empty vial and Fawkes drops seven tears in the vial. Harry says "thank you, Fawkes. I am very grateful not only for last year but for this too as it would probably help with the protection and bonding too.

While Harry was resisting Medusa was slowly regaining consciousness. Medusa asks §speaker did it not work? I thought I would change to a smaller snake so I could be with you without causing panic?§

Harry says §I did say that Medusa but you need some of my power to do that like house-elves do that to life. I think we need to train that part, but not now. I think we both are not at full power and the bond needs to grow and because of this potion we can even if we are apart may we can start training after the summer until you can hold the smaller form for long periods or all the time unless you want to change back you cannot stay with me. I am sorry§

Medusa nods while she says §I understand Master.§

Medusa looks into the forest before she says §we need to go someone is coming. I smell Centaurs but also a human.§

Without asking Medusa force Harry and Dobby on her back immediately slithering back to the tunnel that least to the chamber. Hedwig follows while Fawkes flames out probably back to Dumbledore's office. When entering the chamber Harry bode Hedwig and Medusa good night as Dobby brought him back. Hedwig stayed a bit with Medusa before flying out of one of the tunnels and going to rest in the owlery.

26th June 1994, Owlery, Hogwarts

It was very early in the night when Hedwig woke up and feel the urge. Someone trustworthy wants to send her master something important. She quickly takes off with a large smile for an owl. The last few days she starts to feel everything she felt before for her master becoming stronger where is and that they could understand each other. She also starts to feel how her master is what was new but it make her feel so much closer to her owner. She liked him from the moment she saw him and he talked to her like a friend not like a common owl.

26th June 1994, Professor McGonagall's office, Hogwarts

Professor McGonagall is happy that nothing seems to have happened to Harry this year at least if you don't count your murdering, lunatic godfather trying to kill you, but Harry is not hurt by Sirius Black even though Sirius Black managed to get into the tower on the 5th of February. After that, he didn't try again until begin this month. Harry ended up in the hospital wing but in comprising with the first two years he was not hurt at all. Madam Pomfrey said that Harry was (magically) tired with heavy dementor exposure but he only needed a night in the hospital wing and didn't even need a potion.

She would normally be grading her Transfiguration exams but she wasn't. She already had graded many exams. She is already done with the first two years and about halfway through the third year. She just needs to do the other half from the third year, fourth year and sixth year. She would probably be done by Tuesday at the latest. The day before the year was done while normally it ends on 30th June this year it stops at the 1st July as that was a Friday what would be better and the extra day for teachers to grade papers and give the grade what is needed by the extra work because of Professor Lupin's condition.

She was enjoying her tea when she hears a knock on her door. She says "enter."

The door opens and she sees Ginny and Hermione. Professor McGonagall is happy that Hermione decided to accompany Ginny as she was meaning to talk to Hermione but wanted to wait until the weekend now that isn't needed.

Professor McGonagall put her tea and says "welcome Miss Weasley. I am happy to see you here Miss Granger."

When the door closes and Ginny and Hermione take a seat Professor McGonagall offers them tea which both accepts. Hermione was very tired because of the number of exams. Ginny, on the other hand, was happy and energetic because this year was much better than her first year not only that but she got friends in her year, was good friends with Hermione that was now one of her best friends, her other best friend was friends again with Ginny namely Luna Lovegood and most importantly for her is Harry sees her for her and not as the little sister from his best mate Ron. She even became friends with Neville, he is nice and a good friend as she is still in love with Harry Potter but the real Harry, not the-boy-who-lived.

Professor McGonagall says "Miss Weasley…. Ginny, I am happy we can talk before the year is done. I know this year had gone better for you. I do hope that the times we talked have helped you and if I am right you made more friends in your year and classmates right?"

Ginny happily nods before she says "yes you are right Professor McGonagall. This year was much better and I want to thank you for all the meetings we had as it really helped me to talk to someone who would listen and help if I needed it. I love talking to my friends but the talk with you was different and that difference is what I needed. You also helped me work through the chamber without trying to feel sorry for me or keep reassuring me it wasn't my fault. I still have nightmares, especially the last month but I was able to…."

Professor McGonagall interrupts Ginny and says "you mean Harry helped you. I have heard that on the night from the 18th to the morning of the 19th you fell asleep on the couch with Hermione and Harry. I noticed that you look much better after that night. I trust that nothing inappropriate has happened, but it seems that it really helped as you did look rested for the first time in a few weeks. Some other Professors agreed. I will not take points or give detention as Harry is your friend and you needed him. If I am right you Hermione was more rested. I am right aren't I Miss Granger?"

Professor McGonagall didn't need to use Miss Granger for Hermione but Professor McGonagall thought 'with Miss Granger she would probably tell the truth. I can try to help Harry like this. If Ginny and Hermione both admit they like Harry I can help them with the laws that work for Harry and they don't have to fight for his heart as he can and probably will love them both but only if Hermione and Ginny both admit it in front of me.'

'I need to especially let Ginny know, knowing Molly she would never tell Ginny any law as that is not for women to know about at least that is what Molly said when I asked her about it years before Harry came to Hogwarts when I saw Ginny holding a book about of Harry supposed life tight to her chest with both hands like it was her most prized possession. If I let Ginny and Hermione know about the law I can help the jealousy between Harry's multiple wives especially let them be more open if there will be more than what I expect. I should have talked to Lily when she became his girlfriend but I didn't and I hoped to prevent that this time especially with Hermione. If I can tell them they have time to choose and hopefully accept it obviously not happy but the love will win out I am sure.'

When Professor McGonagall sees that Hermione has answered she asks "I am right am I not Mis… Hermione?"

Hermione looks up heavily blushing. She sees not the stern face of McGonagall but and nice, kind with a soft glare she nods and says "yes sleeping on the couch in the Common Room although a bit uncomfortable it was very restful and one of the better nights in Hogwarts almost as good a…"

Hermione stops talking she almost reveals that she has already slept with Harry although it was only because she needed him the night after the troll what to her knowledge nobody knew about not even her parents as she found it irrelative to the story about becoming best friends with Harry.

Professor McGonagall is wondering what Hermione talks about but knew that if she pushed now it can go good or bad but if she said nothing the chance it will go bad is very slim to none and that is what McGonagall needs and decide to let Hermione go with the obvious slip of the tong.

Professor McGonagall smiles and says "that is great for Harry to be there for the both of you."

She especially said it like that to see that Harry likes them both very much.

Ginny and Hermione both blush and nod their head before looking at the ground from embarrassment.

Professor McGonagall says "as it is almost the end of the year I don't think we have much to talk about what is already known and I think we are all happy that Harry wasn't hurt by Sirius Black who is probably still after Harry and kille….."

Hermione and Ginny both interrupt Professor McGonagall by shouting "NO."

Professor McGonagall looks surprised and asks "can one of you explain?"

Ginny and Hermione watch each other when Ginny says "you can tell better Hermione I mean you were there."

Professor McGonagall wonders what Ginny means. She heard from Dumbledore that Sirius was on the ground and went after Harry.

'He never mentioned anything about Hermione true she is rarely without Harry, but as Albus said nothing about Ron or Neville I thought Harry was alone' Professor McGonagall thought.

Professor McGonagall looks at Hermione and decides to become formal again as that works the best for Hermione as Professor McGonagall needs the truth.

Professor McGonagall says "Miss Granger if you please."

Hermione nods and says "Sirius Black didn't betray Harry's parents. It is Peter Pettigrew."

Professor McGonagall asks "is. Do you mean he is still alive?"

Hermione nods and says "Peter Pettigrew is an Animagus. He was the rat from Ron, Scabbers."

Ginny almost screams out "what? Scabbers was Peter Pettigrew? Why didn't you tell me?"

Hermione says "yes. Didn't Ronald tell you? I thought he did tell you."

Ginny shook her head and says "Ron didn't say anything. I feel so violated."

Hermione asks "what do you mean Ronald didn't say anything I saw you got mad at him a few days after we help... Sirius escaped and why do you feel violated?"

Ginny says "Ron is like I said it. I was mad at Ron because he ignored me even more than last year. He was brooding and I don't know why. When I asked him he just walked away. I wanted to follow but some of my years came done and asked if I wanted to go to the library with them to study and do homework. As I still had to do some things I agreed as I knew Ron wouldn't tell me anything."

Ginny took a deep breath and says "what I mean with violated is sometimes after I was done showering and went to my room to dress and also some mornings before showering I found Scabbers in my room especially the summer before starting Hogwarts. I even found him in my underwear drawer a few times."

Hermione shuddered at the thought of having Peter Pettigrew spy on you what makes Ginny also shudder is what makes Professor McGonagall extra mad for violating Ginny, killing James and Lily, hurting Harry and framing Sirius.

After this revolting discovery, Hermione told Professor McGonagall everything she knew and admitted she and Harry have helped Sirius escape after Ginny urged her to tell the truth. Hermione considered it but felt just like Ginny that Harry trust Professor McGonagall and won't mind if she didn't tell anyone not even Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall agreed as long as it is not in any way endanger the school or Harry it does not.

Professor McGonagall wasn't happy with Hermione using the time-turner to go back but was pleasantly surprised Harry noticed Hermione's weird behaviour or presence and now knew why. She let it go as Professor Dumbledore let Hermione do it. Hermione didn't tell Professor McGonagall about some of the talks they had between saving Buckbeak and saving Sirius. Professor McGonagall knows what Snape has said about being confounded which doesn't seem true but was also unpleasantly surprised that Dumbledore didn't do anything to help Harry get his godfather free or at least a trial, that according to Hermione's story Sirius had not.

Professor McGonagall was happily surprised when she learned that besides Pettigrew Sirius but also James has managed to become Animagus in their fifth year, they were the first or at least the youngest in her long years of teaching. When Hermione told Professor McGonagall about the lake and saving Sirius she was seriously doubting Hermione's story until she saw nothing but the truth, seriousness and hard to describe but Professor McGonagall thought arousal in Hermione's eyes as it is normal that witches get aroused from a strong display of power although there are, of course, more things to make a witch love a wizard and a wizard loves a witch although from a wizard to a witch power is not really important.

Anyway, with the story, Snape told about a strong adult wizard who needed to be able to cast that it made a bit of sense. The Potter family always had strong wizards and witches but is Harry really capable of doing that?

She knows Harry is strong in the practical part of the magic and with James and Lily as parents who are both strong she couldn't tell for sure. She decided to trust Hermione as she never lied before and she had seen Harry's Patronus which was like Hermione said a stag, a young stag but still a stag.

Near the end of the meeting as dinner was fast approaching Professor McGonagall says "Hermione I need to talk to you about next year. I managed to get you a time-turner and hoped that during the year you would decide which classes you want to continue from the electives. I cannot with good conscious let you use the time-tuner again next year and Madam Pomfrey agrees mostly on the ground it would more likely than not bring up health issues if not now most probably later in life."

Before Professor McGonagall could try to get Hermione to agree Hermione says "I understand Professor McGonagall and I think it would be best. My schedule was very demanding as even after dropping Divination I still needed many nights to complete all of my homework. Also with everything that happened and if it wasn't for Harry I would be a werewolf or even dead. I don't dislike werewolves like Remus but I prefer not to be one and my parents wouldn't understand and be very mad at me certainly as they try to understand the wizarding world for me and learn what they can. They cannot learn the magic of course but more about the history and things like that. The time-turner causes a lot of trouble, especially the kind Harry attracts….."

Hermione giggled as did Ginny while Professor McGonagall gave a short smile. After almost a minute Hermione continues.

"I would drop muggle studies like Harry suggests making sure we don't get in this kind of trouble again. I do have a question about Professor McGonagall, even if I don't follow the class would I be able to take the OWL and if I pass the NEWT for muggle studies?"

Professor McGonagall smiles and says "that would be possible Miss Granger I just need to know around easter in your fifth year if you are sure if you want to. If you still want I can make sure you can take the OWL for muggle studies. Not many students take OWL's that they don't follow but I think that as a muggleborn you can easily pass Muggles studies. I don't need to know your grade for Muggle studies but I think that you have the best grade and honestly think you will pass the OWL without a problem."

Hermione gave a large smile because what she said to Harry can happen to take the OWL for muggle studies. She also has a large smile because of the praise she gets from her idol.

29th June 1994, Great Hall, Hogwarts

Harry walks into the Great Hall and sees a small group of excited Gryffindor almost halfway to the Gryffindor table. Harry doesn't think of it when Hermione calls "Harry over here."

Harry sees Hermione almost in the middle of the group of Gryffindors. Harry smiles to himself while he thinks 'she didn't need to call me I would have seen her beautiful …. no, no nice bushy hair. Or otherwise Ginny beautiful ….. no, no also nice red hair' who sits right beside Hermione.

When he reaches Hermione he understands why she called out to him. On the table is Hedwig looks very smug with a letter and a small package on her leg. Hedwig looks smug but also makes sure nobody but her master gets the letter and the package.

When Hedwig sees Harry she gave a happy hoot before flying up and landing on his shoulder happily nibbling his ear before bumping her head. Hedwig was happy to do something for her master. Sure she flew for Hermione but it was different when she did it for her Master. It was a large distance, but she knew she needed to be fast if she wanted to return before going back to the place her master hated but so does she. She pushed herself past normal snowy owls and managed to return in time.

Harry now notice that most of the Gryffindor were girls amazed at how beautiful Hedwig was. Some boys are close to Harry and were curious about what Hedwig brought for Harry as Sirius Black has escaped. Harry notices that Ron was flanked by the twins while being tied with the Incarcerous spell and it looks silenced as nothing came out of his mouth when he opens it.

Harry grabs the letter and opens it a slip falls out of it. In the letter stand just one line. The line Sirius said when he left think about the Marauder's motto. He pockets the letter to read it when he is alone or at least not with so many people with him. He looks a the slip. it is the Hogsmeade permission slip and Sirius signed it for him. He unties the small package that looks like several books.

Oliver sees it and says "let me, Harry."

Oliver points his wand tap a few times and the package start to become larger until they stop. Harry sees six books. He thanks Oliver before he grabs them and heads upstairs to the Gryffindor Common Room. Hedwig remains seated the entire time as she is tired from the large distance but is happy with the happiness her Master is feeling.

Before Harry heads up a small energetic owl flies in and lands on Ron's head. Fred or was it George took the letter the owl carried and the other grabbed the package and enlarge it. The enlarged package was a cage big enough for the small owl and one large bag and one small bag full of owl treats. One of the twins shows Ron the letter and he suddenly got a large smile.

29th June 1994, Gryffindor Common Room, Hogwarts

When he enters he sees a lot of students that weren't done stairs obviously talking and having fun. He remembers that everyone from his dorm is here or downstairs and immediately walks to his dorm followed by Hermione, Ginny, Neville and Katie. Harry thought about the twins but they probably kept their eyes on Ron for the moment.

Harry taps with his wand the letter and says "I solemnly swear I am up to no good."

The line disappears when new words start to appear.

The letter read:

Dear Harry or if you don't mind pup,

As I have escaped England at the moment I cannot learn you what your parents wanted you to. I made sure that you got a couple of books that you need to know, someone like you. I got you six books. The first book is a book to an ability you need to learn and that is Occlumency it is to protect yourself and your mind from people who can access your thoughts and feelings and can even try to influence or even control you. Occlumency helps you to resist but that is better to be said in person. Someone who can access your mind is called a Legilimens. At this time there are two Legilemenses at Hogwarts. Dumbledore and Snape are both master Legilimenses and I know that they don't mind accessing people's memories to find things out. This book is the most important that you need to learn. I hope by the end of the summer you know at least when someone tries to get into your mind even if you can't block them. To make sure Dumbledore or Snape can't without a wand make sure you don't look them in the eye until you can protect yourself.

The second book is a book on Legilimency. It is not to let you learn it as it is illegal to use it on someone without his or her consent so it isn't pressing to learn. I gave you to book as it can help you with Occlumency and also know what Legilimenses can do or how they try to access someone's mind that help you with protecting your own. I suggest starting with Occlumency the moment you get this letter and books.

The third is something your father was very good at, that book is about martial magic or in other words combative magic. I don't know if you need it but James would have wanted you to learn it before your third year at the latest.

The fourth book is what Lily wanted you to learn and that is muggle martial arts. There are different kinds of martial arts in the book. Your mother would have wanted to learn you what she knows and maybe teachers for others so you can fight even without a wand although it would mostly be for self-defence. Your mother learned your father what saved his life a few times mine too as I know a little bit too.

The fifth book is about Animgus transformation, your mother would kill me for it but your father wants to let you know about it this year as you should cover it in Transfiguration this year. I want you to read it but not try to become an Animagus ….. at least not yet. When I a free and I can help you so make sure nothing happens we can try to train you to become an Animagus with Moony's help and maybe even Minnie (that is Professor McGonagall).

The last book is not important at the moment and I advise you to not read it yet. It is about the history of House Potter, the wizengamot, the wizarding world, the special laws and the 'high' society. It is boring stuff but you need to know as I think your muggle family hasn't told you anything and I think Dumbledore also didn't. I want you to wait until I think you need to know or I am free to teach it to you. I hope you can accept that. If something is asked from you or House Potter doesn't agree with anything sent me what the person or house wants and I can take care of it. You can send Hedwig or let her send it to Gringotts and they will make sure I get it.

There are two things I hope to teach you when I am free and that is sword fighting including knives as your father wanted but only when he or I were there as we were both learning that skill as it should. Your mother wanted to learn you some of her own charms as she is a real prodigy and hoped you are too, but I think we will see that in a year or so when I am free.

Harry looks at the book and the sixth book while he is very curious about his family he can't open it no matter what he tries and think he should wait for Sirius then. He starts to put the books away and sees Hermione almost drooling at the books. He says "Hermione if I may let you lend them after I am done okay?"

Hermione is a little disappointed but nods and says "okay Harry."

He walks with them back to the Gryffindor Common Room to enjoy the time after exams to rest and get ready for the Dursley's, Durzkaban.

Katie thought that after Ginny and Hermione woke up with Harry on the couch her chance was gone but now 'I think I may still have a chance. If he didn't like me would have sent me away maybe I still have a chance to get his heart. I just hope I don't hurt Hermione too much or Ginny as she is scary when she is angry I understand the twins now. Maybe there is some way to make sure they don't hate me and I don't hate them, but trying to get Harry's attention is the first step maybe I can advise the next Gryffindor captain I need one on one training with Harry. Hehehe.'

She immediately drops her smile as she sees Hermione and Ginny eye her like they know what she is thinking.

Hermione and Ginny think at the same time what the other hear but as they think the same they don't hear the other voice in their mind 'I think Katie is planning something I won't let Harry go without a fight.'

30th June 1994, Hogwarts Express

Harry manages to give his slip to Professor McGonagall before getting on the train and she accepts the slip for the next year as some others also had their slip for the next year given to their head of the house. Ron is happy when he told Harry that the small owl is now his as he lost his rat Sirius gave him another animal the small energetic owl. He didn't know what he will call him but he is sure he will know before going to school.

Harry, Hermione, Neville, Ginny and Ron are sitting on the train heading home. Ron was sleeping. Ginny was resting reading the book of ancient runes from Harry. Neville was reading something extra over herbology. Hermione was reading ahead in her own ancient runes book and Harry was reading the Occlumency book as much for the change his Uncle Vernon lock up his trunk again.

Hermione says that she is not going on vacation but that her parents made sure to have no apportionments so that they can have a lot of time together. She didn't mention that she first needs to tell her parents what happened after Easter. Neville says he also stays at home as does Ginny. Ginny wants to ask Harry if he would like to come to the World Cup but didn't know if her father could get enough tickets for it.

When they reach King's Cross station she wonders why Draco Malfoy didn't visit them but it seems he was too busy annoying Daphne that he didn't have time to harass Harry and his friends.

30th June 1994, 4 Privet Drive, Surrey, England

Like always Harry was silent from King's Cross station to Privet drive. The only sound was Vernon hating to get all the way to King's Cross station while it is rush hour and drive his good for nothing nephew all the way home.

Harry wished many times he had another home but unfortunately, he doesn't. He thought when he saw Hogwarts he had but as he couldn't stay he never saw it as his home and only knew of 4 Privet Drive, Surrey.

When reached 4 Privet Drive Vernon ordered, Harry, to get the trunk. He was still mad about inflating his sister even though he did it without a wand, but as he didn't really like his sister he wasn't very mad anymore and thought loads of chores would punish Harry. He decides to let him keep his trunk which he normally would take the first month at the least. The moment they enter Vernon says "take your trunk upstairs, but don't you dare do anything unnatural then get your arse done here to make us dinner."

Harry says "yes Uncle Vernon. Can I let Hedwig open to let her fly?"

Vernon says "if it keeps it quiet you can let it fly during the night and must be back before the sun is up or else."

Harry says "Hedwig is a girl."

Vernon almost growls while walking towards the kitchen and living room.

Harry carries his trunk and Hedwig in her owl cage upstairs.

I will end here. It is not as far I wanted to go but this is already a very large chapter and this is the end of the third year as I promised.

In the next chapter, we will see the summer. Already a heads up there may be some physical abuse as Vernon is still angry. I will not dedicate much to it but I will at least be mentioned.
