Chapter 42 The summer of talks, thoughts and ideas and the first candy

2nd July 1994, Heathgate, Hampstead

Hermione went to bed while Dan and Emma were sitting in the living room. Dan says "Emma I really am wondering if Hermione can stay there or better said remain friends with Harry."

Emma says "do you want to tell her that because you know what is going to happen if you do."

Dan groans as he knows, Hermione will never forgive him and probably hate her until the day he dies if not longer and probably at her seventeenth birthday she would leave them to find Harry again. Dan likes Harry but the trouble he attracts severely disturbs him mostly for Hermione's safety.

Emma says "I am also not happy what they did because of Hermione's time-turner but they did save an innocent man that is Harry's only family member who cares it seems."

Dan says "I know but what about that Professor Lupin, the werewolf or those things we can't see Dementors."

Emma slaps his shoulder and says "what happened to Professor Lupin is not his fault and he also made sure that Harry could protect himself but also his godfather and if needed he would protect Hermione with his life."

Dan says "that is what I am afraid for that Harry dies trying to save Hermione especially as Hermione … likes Harry a lot it would destroy her if he dies protecting her."

Emma says "oh you mean it like that. I agree but taking Hermione away from Harry isn't a good idea."

Dan says "I know and how much I want to I still believe Harry would do anything for her and Hermione for him."

Emma has a million-dollar smile and says "I do hope they will become a couple. Your best friend and he would do anything for you, you can't find anyone better. I just hope it works out with her friend."

Dan asks "friend?"

Emma says "yeah her best girlfriend, Ginny Weasley. Hermione said Ginny likes Harry a lot too. It's almost like she wants to make some kind of deal with her to not be jealous of each other or something."

Dan groans and says "I don't want to know. Let's just enjoy the rest of the summer. I was thinking to go to London tomorrow to do some shopping you want to do with Hermione but not a Diagon Alley that can wait till later. Next weekend maybe beach."

They continued planning until the first week of August until Hermione knows more about the summer plans from Harry and maybe her first girlfriend Ginny Weasley.

6th July 1994, the Burrow

Ginny is crying. The pain has stopped but she tried to think about why she could feel the pain that wasn't hers. She thinks back about last year with the sudden emotions she felt that weren't hers it was the same but more profound and felt the pain. She could only think of one person that is so close to her and in her heart, she knows it is Harry.

She knows she needs to talk to Hermione as she thinks that the bracelet is something more than just protection. She also needs to know if there are more than just these two. She knows that three is a powerful number from the homeschooling her mother give her so she strongly suspects there is another one. She knows she needs to talk to Hermione not only because of the Arithmancy she knows but also because she felt sudden spikes of love for Harry that was not always her.

Ginny thinks 'if I am right about the bracelets it can only be Hermione that I felt. She loves Harry too. Anyway, the pain felt different from the spike of love that I felt. It is similar to some emotions she felt throughout the year so it must be Harry.'

Ginny tries to send Harry soothing feelings but doesn't know if it works while thinking about how to ask Hermione about her suspicion that she also loves Harry.

6th July 1994, Heathgate, Hampstead

While Ginny is thinking Hermione is already in research mode searching for an answer for the sudden feeling of pain that isn't hers. She also thinks about the bracelet together with the arousal she still hasn't forgotten about the arousal Harry brought and the pain felt similar. She thinks the bracelets are more than Harry thought.

Hermione thinks 'Ginny has one too and I thought I heard her voice in my mind a couple of times throughout the year. If there are two maybe there is a third which is an important number. This is Harry's pain I hope he is not hurt very much. When I go to the Weasley's I need to talk to Ginny. I hope I don't feel Harry's pain again. If I do I will go to him.'

Hermione is determined, she will help Harry and if her parents won't help her she can take the knight bus Harry talked about. The knight bus isn't very expensive but she isn't sure she can pay to go to Harry but she is almost sure she can go to the Leaky Cauldron or she can use her muggle money to get into London near the Leaky Cauldron before changing some Pound Sterling for Galleons.

She decides to read a bit more especially about runes trying to know what all the runes mean on her bracelet hoping to find out if there is some kind of bond to easier talk to Ginny and eventually Harry.

9th July 1994, The Burrow

Ginny woke up feeling happy after the pain from three days ago disappeared the same night.

Her dreams after the night with Harry and Hermione in the Gryffindor Common had only been good, every night she has happy dreams after that night. Happy futures, having a sister like Hermione and more but also the friendship with Luna again makes her very happy. She hoped she could visit Luna but Luna said two days ago she would be gone with her father until three days before Hogwarts will start trying to find a Crumple-Horned Snorkacks in Norway and when she finds them she will take two back on for herself and one for Ginny.

Ginny still didn't believe in the creature Luna talks about but she really listened to her, talk and ask questions about those creatures as she was still a bit guilty about her youth when they were friends but never talked with Luna about her creatures while Luna did talk about Quidditch when they were not pretending to marry Harry.

29th July 1994, Kitchen, The Burrow

It was after dinner when her father surprised her with the news. He has managed to get tickets for the Quidditch World Cup enough for the whole family minus her mother and her brother Percy. Also, a good place to stay until the next morning using a wizarding tent. Molly already told Arthur she didn't want to go and before he got the tickets Percy had an interview for a job at the ministry that he got.

Ginny thinks she can't be happier until his father said that he also got tickets for Harry and Hermione. If she can smile larger she will but is unable to do that or her jaw will break not to mention many of her facial muscles will tear.

31st July 1994, Kitchen, the Burrow

It is early in the morning and Ginny was already up bouncing with excitement. It is Harry's birthday and she wants to make Harry a cake. She isn't very good at cooking but her mother promised to help her.

Nearly two hours later Ginny had made the cake with her mother who helped but mostly told Ginny what to do while she made some homemade food for her family but more than enough to also send some to Harry with the cake. When Errol arrives and takes the cake Ginny can't help but be nervous not only about the cake but also the card, if Harry can come for the Quidditch Cup and that Harry won't find it weird that she send him a cake although they became better friends this last year.

2nd August 1994, Ginny's room, The Burrow

Ginny is getting anxious near dinner Errol finally came back but without a letter not that she suspected Errol will come back with a letter but she did expect Hedwig to be not that far behind with a reply. She hopes she didn't scare Harry away. She really thought their friendship was to the point she can send a cake to him.

It is late at night and she is trying to read one of her textbooks and read about the charms she needs to know for the new school year. Suddenly she hears taps on her window. She immediately looks and sees Hedwig with a letter. She opens it and sees that Hedwig has two letters. Hedwig did something Ginny didn't suspect instead of jumping on her desk and waiting for Ginny to take the letters Hedwig flies to her shoulder and wait there for her to take the letters.

When Ginny has taken the letters from Hedwig, Hedwig pushes her head affectionally to Ginny's head before flying to the desk and waiting for Ginny to write a reply. She looks at the letter and sees that one is directed to her and the other also to her mother. Ginny thinks she is the only awake as she heard her mother and father go to bed a little while ago as her room is direct across from theirs. Barely three feet between the doors.

She doesn't know if any of her brothers are awake not that she cares at the moment. She is must more nervous about the letter Harry send to her. She hopes Harry is happy with the cake and it tasted nice but also that Harry likes it, he sent her a cake and a letter.

Ginny opens the letter addressed to her.

Hello Ginny,

I want to thank you for your card and the cake. The cake was very good I really enjoyed it and Hedwig liked it too. I want to also thank you for your card it reminded me of the other card you gave me last year.

I remember the card you gave me, it was a get well card after the Hufflepuff match. I am sorry I didn't thank you as Ron was there and Ron was still not being happy with you there. I know I should have thanked you anyway but I was sad about my Nimbus 2000 I forgot and for that, I am very sorry. I hope you can forgive me for that.

You may like to know I still have your get well card and now I also got this birthday card that I like very much. I want to let you know that I can be at the Quidditch World Cup. I sent Mrs. Weasley also a message that I can come.

Ginny is sooooo happy. Harry liked the card and the cake. He even revealed he still had her get well card.

3rd August 1994, Kitchen, the Burrow

Ginny came down with a happy smile. When she walks into the kitchen her mother is already there working on breakfast for her dad that was already looking in the Daily Prophet and drinking his tea before going to the ministry.

Ginny says "good morning Mom and Daddy."

They both say "good morning Ginny have you slept well?"

Ginny can only smile saying "wonderful. Mom, I got a letter from Harry for you. Hedwig came yesterday evening and went to me as I was still practising charms."

Molly smiles and asks "oh really? Let me see."

After reading the letter and saying "well that is wonderful he can come. Can you still pick him up, Arthur?"

Arthur says "of course Molly. The twins will come with me to make sure that if needed they can pack Harry's stuff."

Molly says "that is great. Ginny Harry says he liked the cake."

Ginny still had a large smile and says "I know Harry also sent me a letter. Daddy when will you pick Harry up?"

Arthur put his paper down when Molly put a plate in front of him and says "I will do it somewhere the coming week as I said before because of the Quidditch World Cup I am very busy so I must see when I have time. With the wizards and witches from around the world, they bring a lot of muggle artefacts that need to be confiscated or at least dispelled not to mention there are still some countries where attacking muggles isn't technically illegal. Here in England, it is and that is also part of my department also does people from my office need to do Auror duty. I have also an Auror license that I got in March as I am head of a subdepartment I am expectant of doing Auror duty including that my department is being very busy. I will try to get him here before your Birthday Ginny but I am not certain."

Ginny didn't notice the wink he gave Molly as Molly knows that Arthur wants to surprise Ginny.

Molly says "that is great. Do you know when Hermione will be here?"

Ginny shakes her head she forgot Ron send Hermione a message about it but she hadn't replied yet. Suddenly an owl flies in drops a letter and flies away. Arthur grabbed it before opening it and says "this is from Hermione she says she will be here on the 7th after dinner. Her parents will bring her to the Leaky Cauldron and she will floo from there to here."

"She does say that the last weekend the 27th and the 28th she will spend time with her parents before flooing back the morning of the 29th to stay here until September 1st if that is all right with us."

Molly says "of course, that will be all right. Ginny can you write her reply after breakfast. I am sure Errol is somewhere around the garden."

Ginny smiles and says "I will mom" before wolving down her food without looking like a pig.

After breakfast Arthur waits on Percy as he has been working since the 1st (August) at the ministry and he agreed he will go with his father for now to the ministry as he did when he had the job interview around half of July.

3rd August 1994, Greengrass Manor, Wales

Daphne is getting very anxious after a month of searching she hasn't found anything. She didn't know what to do anymore every possible angle wasn't possible except one. The only one was something she didn't want to do at least not yet as Regent Potter requested to wait. She has no other idea left she needs to talk to her parents maybe she forgets something. Her parents are Slytherin and Ravenclaw if she forgets anything they would know or maybe have an idea she didn't think can work will still work.

She went to the living room where her mother is. She doesn't see her father and suspects he is in his study or at the business being the owner of an import and export business. Daphne thinks 'maybe it is better to talk to mother before talking to father.'

Daphne asks "mom I need your help with something."

Isabel looks surprised. Sure Daphne and Astoria asked for help sometimes but it was always homework and they will always tell with what, but now Daphne was vague with asking something. Also in the last years, Daphne never needed her help with homework also she knows that both Daphne and Astoria are already done with the homework although she did notice that Daphne spend a lot of time in the library more than normal so much Astoria was complaining about being bored and even Tracey hasn't been invited by Daphne while Tracey would be here most of the time.

Isabel asks "sure dear. How can I help you, do you need help with some homework?"

Daphne shakes her head before saying "no it is not homework. I want to talk to Regent Potter and Harry Potter about the marriage contract?"

Daphne decided to just ask what she wants hoping her mother won't ask too many questions. Her mother may be a Ravenclaw but as Ravenclaw, she needs information to use their knowledge. Daphne will tell her mother without revealing too much so her mother doesn't find out and tell her the truth but just not the whole truth.

Her father a Slytherin knows when she doesn't tell the whole truth and with his Slytherin mind could find out that she is afraid of what she heard and afraid for Astoria, Tracey and Lilian. She can with Harry's help and protection save herself, Astoria, Tracey and Lilian although that is pushing it. Even if Harry doesn't want to help her she will do everything for Astoria and Tracey and much for Lilian but is afraid without Harry she can't. However, if she must believe Susan and Grang- Hermione Harry will help anyone if he can why would he otherwise save her and Susan. True Susan was with her but with everything, Hermione said or at least implied he will help no matter what …. at least she hopes so even if she is a Slytherin but he did forgive her for the unintentional slaps.

Isabel smiles as she asks "are you sure? I am sure you can wait until your OWL year or probably even later. There is an age limit but that is 21 years old and that will be for children and at least one age by Harry's 21st Birthday or that you are pregnant by your 21st Birthday. There is no age limit for marriage although it is implied to do that no later than age 19. I think you should wait until after your OWL year and be certain about your feelings. I think that trying to be friends with Harry is better before saying anything about the marriage contract or at least letting Regent Potter tell him. If he tells him he can't be mad at you otherwise he may be what won't work in your favour at least at the beginning."

Daphne blushes and says "I know my feelings are true. First not because he saved me but during the year I faced my feelings although I wasn't happy with the outcome I know I love him and I don't care about anyone else or what they think. I wasn't happy because I thought I didn't have a chance but I know I do have one now. Right after I knew I just thought it is too good to be true. I was expecting Po… Harry to come to me and tell me the contract was a fault but he never did."

Isabel says "but he doesn't know."

Daphne says "but I want him to know. I want to talk to him to finalize the contract even though it is already signed."

Isabel smiles and says "I understand you want to be friends first and can't talk to him on your own so you want to use the contract as the reason. I will talk with your father…."

Daphne says "that is not it" although it is a bit true.

"I want to know Harry's reaction and if he agrees with the contract, or is at least all right with it, but also that even if he is betrothed to me that he can also find someone for the Potter line and maybe he knows who Heir Black is to help Stori."

Isabel says "all right but I need to talk with your father as it is house business and the Lord of the house conduct that most of the time unless he gives me permission, but as he loves you very much he wants to be sure you are good taking care of and will make sure if Regent Potter can be here that it is clear to Regent Potter to tell to Harry."

Daphne says "I know Harry will take go…."

Daphne continues in her mind as she thinks 'od care of me better than any other boy especially those in Slytherin even more if the story is true.'

Daphne stops and groans in annoyance as her mother manages to tell her more than Daphne intends even though she didn't tell the 'whole' real reason why she wanted to talk to her mother to get Regent Potter here. Daphne groans with annoyance. She knows for sure her father will talk to her about what is really going on even though she mostly told her mother most of the truth she just didn't tell her mother everything.

3rd August 1994, Kitchen, Greengrass Manor, Wales

It was dinner and Daphne sees her father for the first time that day. Dinner was just done as her father says "Daphne, your mother told me that you want to speak to Regent Potter regarding the marriage contract even though Harry may not know. While I understand I am feeling that you did not tell your mother the complete truth. Can you convince me I am wrong?"

Daphne takes a deep breath and says "father you are wrong. I told the mother the real reason why I want to talk to Regent Potter and Harry Potter. Not only for me but also for Stori. He may know who the Black Heir is. That male maybe is a friend of Harry or something and told him in convince he would not tell anyone else or let it slip even though he needs to control his anger a bit but with Malfoy and Snape I understand."

Daphne tries to keep her voice steady to not let the glare from her father get to her. She thinks she has succeeded until she notices the look on her father's face.

Surprisingly her father says "I don't think it is a good idea who can even say that Regent Potter wants or have time for this. I can understand being Regent Potter that you have many things to do and need Harry's support. I will if Harry wear his Heir ring or anything else that announces his status as Potter Heir is that agreeable?"

Daphne wants to say no but her father's face showed that he didn't believe her but he let her go without asking her question she wonders why. Daphne nods to make sure her father doesn't start to question her which can make Astoria very upset even though Tracey knows the bare minimum of what she heard. Astoria or her parents don't know what she heard as it was hard for her to hear but also she is afraid as she didn't have a way out at the time but now she has a possibility. She also doesn't want to make her parents worry.

Daphne almost immediately stands up and Astoria follows. Astoria will have a good night dreaming of who her husband can be and Harry was a prominent candidate while Daphne has nightmares except the last one of the night where Harry is her knight in shining armour where they live a happy ever after although she does see multiple girls with Harry where she was always one of but also Hermione, Ginny and Susan. Sometimes there were more but she, Hermione, Ginny and Susan are always part of it. The last girls she saw besides herself, Hermione, Ginny and Susan are Astoria, Katie and the blonde friend of Ginny Luna also known as Looney Lovegood. Sometimes she sees other girls from Hogwarts but don't know the name or didn't see them good enough to know who except the Patil twins she saw once in her dreams one of them both flanking Harry and when they saw her they smiled before letting her hug Harry before hugging them what was weird as she never hugged anyone even Tracey and Astoria barely got a hug.

7th August 1994, The Burrow

Hermione is almost bouncing when she reaches the Leaky Cauldron. This is her first trip with Floo and to prepare her like normal she has read any book about Floo travel. Her parents walk with her inside to see her off and see that he will see them at the last weekend of August.

As soon as she floos in she get in a big hug from Ginny before she hears Mrs. Weasley say in the door opening towards the kitchen "Hermione dear what good to see you."

Ginny asks immediately "how was your summer, Hermione?"

Hermione smiles and says "it was good. I didn't go on vacation but I had a great time with my parents and we did have a few one-day trips."

Ginny smiles and says "that sounds like fun. Let's go upstairs so you can put your stuff away. Your bed in my room is already done."

Hermione smiles and says "that is great" before following Ginny upstairs to the first floor.

Hermione heard from Ron a bit about the Burrow but asks Ginny if he can give her a small tour of the house and the grounds as she had never been here before. Ginny happily does.

When they reach the top floor and Ron's room Ginny opens it and sees that Ron is doing nothing lying on his bed. He asks her what she wants quite rudely. Before Ginny can answer he hears "Ronald Weasley that is very rude."

Ron sees Hermione stepping and says "hey Hermione. I thought you were coming later."

Ginny says "later? It is 6 PM she would be here at 6 PM at the latest."

Ron just says "all right then."

Ron goes back to reading in the magazine about the Chudley Cannons and ignores them. They leave his room to go back downstairs. They both grab a book before sitting in the living room.

Almost an hour later she hears Mrs. Weasley ask "Ginny, Hermione could you come here?"

When they walk into the kitchen Mrs. Weasley says to Ginny "your father is on his way could you and Hermione get the table ready?"

Hermione agrees and asks "how does your mother know?"

Ginny points to a wall and Hermione almost squeals as she sees a clock but instead of numbers it has different places and if they are in danger or not. Hermione sees that the clock hands have pictures from all the Weasleys. There is a clock hand for every one of them except Charlie and Bill Ginny's oldest brothers. She sees that all of them are home except Percy and Mr. Weasley. Mr. Weasley was on travelling with Percy was at work but that changed to travelling while Mr. Weasley changed at home. Mr. Weasley walks in less than a minute later. He greets Mrs. Weasley with a kiss on the cheek before he greets Hermione. Barely five minutes later Percy walks in with a happy smile but also a heavy sigh.

Percy greets Ginny, Hermione, his father and his mother but that is about it before he ignores everyone and waits on getting his dinner before he would go to his room. It would just be like always Percy locking him in his room but now he was packing his stuff and anything else that he wants or needs in his apartment.

The dinner and evening are uneventful.

8th August 1994, Bones Manor, Southern England

It was barely after breakfast but Amelia was already gone leaving Susan alone beside her owl and house-elves. Hannah has been over a lot lately but in the following days she will not be coming over as she was feeling guilty about spending almost no time with her mother, her only family member left.

Susan is trying to keep her mind off Harry, with Hannah around or her working on her homework was just enough to keep her mind off Harry although every few sentences Hannah would tease her about being betrothed to Harry unless they were doing homework or anything else that needed them to focus.

Susan is happy but also disappointed. Harry sent her a letter a few days ago thanking her for the letter and that he wouldn't mind having lunch with her but that he cannot be alone with her as he normally lunches with Hermione, Neville and Ron. Susan should have known and was thinking of another gift that shows her intention of pursuing a romantic relationship, not because of the marriage contract.

Even though she loves the marriage contract as she loves Harry it still feels weird as most of the time there is at first a betrothal contract before the marriage contract is finalized or signed at least that was what Amelia told her, but she learned that betrothal contracts are almost aren't used anymore according to older (female) students. Some of the time the marriage contract is signed when you marry or just before it. Many marriage contracts are signed years before with still a betrothal contract. However, most traditional families sign a betrothal contract which is also the marriage contract or a marriage contract that is very similar within a year or two after the betrothal contract if not signed immediately what mostly does happen. The betrothal contract is not very important it is more to give the guy more power over the girl which sometimes is to see if the girl and her family are trustworthy among other things before the marriage.

Although some betrothal contract mostly by the lighter families is just to get the couple to know each other (better) and not to put the girl under the guys' control or do similar bad things to the girl. Most of the lighter families don't do betrothal contracts anymore as it doesn't add anything and will try to find a guy that their daughter can tolerate who can raise their house like what happened with Narcissa and House Malfoy as she was a Black before. The darker houses don't use betrothal contract as it is the same as the marriage contract. Susan even heard the clause of obedience most darker houses and even some 'light' and traditional families still use especially if there is no betrothal contract.

In dark families and Death Eater families, the daughters are nothing more of a commodity and a bargaining chip to raise the house of the girl or of the guy and get a 'longstanding' ally like the Longbottom's and the Potter's are although it has been many centuries when there has been a marriage between someone from the Potter line with the Longbottom line. The only ones who know when the last time was are House Potter and Longbottom. Most Houses even in the light Houses don't care what their daughter wants and sign both contracts without acceptance from the daughter and without her input.

Susan was too young when she got a marriage contract to Harry but it looks very good, sees them as equal and she can continue her line. Sure Harry has some power over her but it wasn't too much like in dark families' marriage contracts and she trusts Harry. In name of the family business, Harry is her equal when he becomes Lord Bones but besides that, he has power over her Susan just knows Harry would not abuse it as many will do. To be honest her marriage contract is one of the best if not the best compared to other contracts she heard about from other (female) students who weren't or aren't that lucky and that is not even mentioning Harry being the other part of the contract.

In the letter, he also told her he goes to the Quidditch World Cup as he is invited by Ron and the Weasley family as Mr. Weasley got tickets for the World Cup. Her aunt said that Mr. Weasley got quite a couple of tickets so she doesn't need to get her hopes up. Susan didn't but that doesn't mean she is disappointed he goes with them while being happy Harry goes at all. Secretly she hoped with the number of children that Mr. Weasley hasn't got enough tickets, but according to her aunt, Mr. Weasley is working a lot and is busy so the chance he couldn't get enough tickets for free was very small including he is the director of a sub-department of the DMLE.

She also needs to be there are Heiress Bones and as her aunt, Amelia Bones is department head of one of the most important if not the most important department and certainly the youngest director in a long time especially from the DMLE. That is even without mentioning Amelia if Regent Bones is one of the last remaining most ancient and most noble houses even if House Bones is the youngest of the few remaining houses that have those titles and status like House Potter, Longbottom and Black with Black and Potter being the oldest. She and her Aunt are invited to the ministry box where the ministers from the countries that are in the final are and their ambassadors, probable ambassadors from other 'important' countries and highly respected families to the minister.

As Malfoy is bribing Minister Fudge they would be there and the only important country that Susan can think of is France as Ireland is one of the finalists while Bulgaria has the so-called best seeker in the world that most (teenage) girls and women swoon over but not her she got her own very, very, very good and handsome seeker. She almost wants to bet that the best seeker in the world would have a very hard time against Harry if Viktor Krum can even beat Harry.

She got interrupted and forgot the thought of the 'seeker battle' between Krum and her future husband and love, Harry Potter, although she doesn't forget Harry when she sees an owl fly into her room. The owl has a letter and drops it on her desk before leaving again.

She looks at the letter and recognizes the handwriting of her good friend Megan Jones. After reading the letter she smiles it seems Megan goes to the Quidditch World Cup because of her niece and guardian Gwenog Jones, Captain of the Holyhead Harpies and want to meet up before the game and maybe after as Megan doesn't know how soon after the match she will leave for home with Gwenog and Hestia her other niece that is an Auror that Susan knows.

Megan may not be her best friend but a very good friend nonetheless but honestly so is Sally-Ann. They share a dorm and are all good friends with each other. Susan wouldn't be surprised if Sally-Ann is with Megan at the World Quidditch Cup.

It is lunchtime and she went down to the kitchen as she isn't allowed to eat her lunch in her room even if her Aunt isn't home although technical it is her house-elves as she is the Bones Heiress and Amelia is not.

After lunch, she goes back to daydreaming about the happy life and large family she wants with her future husband, Harry Potter in her bedroom. She also thinks of all the possible sisters she will get because Harry needs to marry more than one girl especially as he marries her for House Bones and he needs to also continue House Potter and gets at least two wives for his house to improve the change of a boy and prevent the House from dying out as he will have more Heirs and Heiresses.

9th August 1994, Ginny's room, The Burrow

It is late at night and Hermione is still awake. Hermione knows Harry will be coming somewhere in the next week. He sent her a letter but didn't say when he is going to be here, but she knew from Ginny that he will be here somewhere in the coming week.

Hermione decides that it is best to talk to Ginny about her feelings for Harry but also for her own for the sake of honesty and to save her friendship because of her honesty.

Hermione asks "Ginny are you awake? I need to talk to you."

Ginny says sleepily "I am still awake Hermione what is it?"

Hermione sits up in her bed and sees Ginny do the same wiping the sleep out of her eyes. Ginny says in her normal voice "is something wrong, Hermione?"

Hermione shakes her head that Ginny can see barely see as there is almost no moonshine because the new moon was just two days ago.

Hermione says "there is nothing really, at least not really. It is just something I want to tell you but I am afraid it may hurt our friendship and after last year I don't want to lose you as a friend because you are a good friend maybe even already a very good friend. You are also the first girlfriend I have. I mean I talked a lot with Parvati and Fay even sometimes with Lavender about girl stuff, but you were the first one last summer that I see as a friend."

"I am afraid that this will not only ruin our friendship but you will also be very mad at me and I can lose you but also someone else who is very important to me."

Ginny understands Hermione means Harry.

Ginny doesn't know what Hermione means as she says "Hermione I don't know what you mean but I am sure Harry will not leave you. I know I am not your best friend that is Harry and I am all right with that. I think Harry will not leave you if our friendship would somehow end, but I don't want our friendship to end. You may not have been my first girlfriend but you are one of the best I ever have. Luna is and thanks to Harry but also you Hermione. You gave me the power to face what has happened because of my last year….."

Hermione interrupts her "no Ginny. I may have given you power as you said but it is your choice what to do with it. Also, it is not your fault. I said so even Colin said so not to mention Luna did too. I even talked to Penelope Clearwater and she also doesn't blame you."

"I understand Luna is your first girlfriend and I am very happy that you became friends with Luna again. I don't know why your friendship stopped, but as it is not my business I don't need to know. I am just happy that it doesn't prevent you two to be friends again."

Ginny smiles and says "Hermione we are digressing you want to tell me something that has nothing to do with the … chamber at least I think it doesn't."

Hermione blushes as immediately her thought when back to Harry. She isn't happy that she left Crookshanks with her parents in the last couple of weeks Crookshanks was always there when she thought about Harry and the possibility of ruining friendships so she could hug him that helped her calm down most of the time.

Ginny sees that Hermione is having trouble with whatever Hermione wants to say. Ginny cannot think what it is that is so important for Hermione to tell her. She can say she doesn't need to know but her curiosity and also not wanting to lose Hermione's friendship is making her hesitant to not need to hear what Hermione obviously wants or maybe better-said needs to say.

Hermione takes on a deep breath and says in one breath "IalsoloveHarryasyoudo!"

Ginny has no idea what Hermione said and asks "can you please that again Hermione and slower this time I didn't understand a single thing."

Hermione looks to the ground and asks in a small girl voice "please don't ask me to say that again?"

Ginny did the only thing she could think of. She gets out of her bed went to sit on Hermione's bed and hug her. Hermione immediately hugs Ginny very hard and has small tears in her eyes. She is sobbing a bit. I take almost 10 minutes before Hermione let Ginny go.

Ginny asks "can you try to tell me again Hermione and so I can understand?"

Hermione nods and says "I am sorry Ginny but ….. I also love Harry as you do."

Ginny hugs Hermione and says, "all right I am not happy about it but I don't want to lose our friendship and believe me I can understand."

Hermione gives a small smile before she says "I wanted to tell you that before….."

Ginny asks sadly "before you tell me you and Harry are dating or already even a couple?"

Hermione sees the sadness and hears it as she says "no Ginny. I wanted to tell you for the sake of honesty and not losing your friendship. I was afraid if I didn't tell you and you figure it out if not this year at least next year you would feel betrayed that I didn't say anything and I don't want that. Also, I wasn't sure this year until the night Sirius escaped."

Ginny tries to lighten the mood by saying "you mean the night you helped Sirius escape."

Hermione says "yes that night. I first thought I love Harry as a friend but that night I felt something inside me awaken and I felt something connect with Harry. I don't know what it is but I think it is my magic."

"Ginny I don't want to fight about who can be with Harry or be jealous of each other when we spent time with Harry. I want you to know I will not fight for Harry if you agree with me. He will need time because of his childhood at least I think so and I don't want to fight for him as he likes both of us as his friends at this time. He may see one of us as a romantic interest in time, but if we are fighting for his affection we may push him too far too soon and he may not like that."

"I don't want to fight with you as I like you as my friend. I hope you agree with me that fighting between us would not only be bad for us, our friendship but also affect Harry. If Harry will like you more as a girlfriend than me I will not try to steal him from you if you also can accept if that is me although I highly doubt that. Harry needs to choose we cannot choose for him."

Ginny slowly nods her head in agreement and says "all right, Hermione I agree, but why do you think Harry would not like you?"

Hermione says "I know I am just a bossy, bushy-haired, know-it-all, beaver face girl and I am not very athletic like you and certainly not an athletic body that I think most boys like. Also, you have Quidditch in common with Harry. I know the rules and everything but I will never play it as I don't like flying on a broom I only barely passed the class in my first year."

Ginny asks "you know the rules?"

Hermione nods and says "yes."

Ginny sees right through Hermione and asks a question she already knows the answer to "for Harry? To talk to him about it? To show interest in what he likes?"

Hermione wants to deny it but like everything she already said she knew lying will be pointless. She nods her head while blushing what Ginny can't see in the dark night with only a little moonlight.

Ginny says "Hermione just know I agree with you and while I love Harry with my whole heart if I lose him to you I think I can live with the fact that you really love him as I do and that it will make him but also you one of my best friends very happy. I think we better get to sleep right now. I just want to say that to you, but I hope if he chooses me you can be the same for me."

Hermione says "of course Ginny if Harry chooses you what I think will happen I can live with the fact you both love each other and are happy."

Ginny loudly says "STOP THAT HERMIONE you are much more than a bossy, bushy-haired, know-it-all, a beaver face and teeth girl and Harry knows that he knows you are much more than that. Don't let jealous people or people like Malfoy get you down I can assure you Harry does not see you like that otherwise he would never be your friend."

Hermione whispers just loud enough "he did say he liked my bushy hair as it is me, but I do hope my front teeth were a bit shorter, but my parents said they won't shorten them as they don't think it is needed."

Ginny says "see Harry knows you are more than that. Your teeth aren't that large it may seem like that but it isn't ugly or anything, don't let the other people get you down. Maybe we should show Harry our love for him by touching more and anything like we are his girlfriends to ease him into it. I don't mind sharing Harry with you if you don't mind?"

Hermione thinks for a few minutes before she says "I don't know those kinds of relationships are frowned upon in the muggle world even if we aren't married. If we get married it would be illegal in the muggle world. I don't think my parents will accept it either."

Ginny says "come on Hermione isn't this better than waiting for Harry to figure it out that we like him and make him choose what would surely trouble him. Also wouldn't you like that hug him and kiss him even if it is only on the cheek for now?"

Hermione smiles and says "all right you are right I will like that. We can try but we cannot do too much I mean Harry is only 14 most boys are still too immature at this age."

Ginny says "tell me about it. It seems like Ron hasn't aged a day since he was 6 and the twins when they went to Hogwarts the first day. The only ones who matured were Percy and Bill although I don't remember much from Bill during his first couple of years at Hogwarts. Even Charlie stayed an 11-year old for me until it was Yule in his fifth year and completely acted 16 after he did his OWL's."

Hermione giggles and says "I can see that although I would like to meet your older brothers."

Ginny said "that is good daddy told me they would come to the Quidditch World Cup with us. They cannot be here for my Birthday but they could get a week off around the Quidditch World Cup although Bill needs to work on the Quidditch World Cup site with wards and the likes until two days before the final but at least he would be here and not in Egypt. He was hired by the ministry as they don't want to work with goblins and only a British native will do."

Hermione says "great I would like to know more about their jobs. We should get to sleep."

Ginny yawns, goes back to her bed, lies down and says "yes you are right. Oh yeah before I forget Luna would like to share Harry too when she finds out. Good night."

Hermione like Luna but still shout out "WHAT? What do you mean Ginny? Ginny? Ginny?"

Hermione knows Ginny cannot be asleep already and just pretend to be asleep.

Hermione sighs and says "we talk about this in the morning."

Ginny almost singsongs "no we do not and Luna will find out."

Hermione sighs before lying down again to try to get some sleep. Hermione falls asleep very quickly which Hermione finds enjoyable as she wakes up very well rested the next morning but the dreams confuse her. She dreams of sharing Harry with Ginny and Luna, but sometimes other girls where they too like Susan, Katie or Daphne sometimes all three and everyone even herself was happy with sharing Harry while Harry showered them all with all the love he can muster not letting feel anyone left out and love them all with his whole giant heart all of them equally.

Hermione also felt the other girl was like the sisters she always wanted and didn't get. It wasn't until her she was ten that her parents told her that when Hermione found a book about human reproduction she and her mother almost died during childbirth and the doctor advised her to not try to have another child again. Hermione nearly died, and Emma had died for a few minutes three times before being resuscitated by the doctors every time. One of the doctors was from the military that her father was part of as a reserve after Hermione's birth. That doctor was the leading expert on childbirth, dead through childbirth, the prevention of it and stillborn children and saved her but also her mother.

10th August 1994, Privet Drive 4, Little Whining, Surrey, England

It is morning and Harry has just come back from his run. He has been running before the summer whole except after he was beaten and on his birthday until the 3rd of August and runs in the morning of the 4th again every day. He hopes that he can also do it at the Burrow without too much problem.

Throughout the day he is doing his chores. Around 4 PM he is in his room gathering everything in his trunk and letting Hedwig out of her cage. He says "Hedwig you can go already. Mr. Weasley will pick me up in a few hours. I will see you at the Burrow all right?"

Hedwig hoots jump out of her cage. Flies to his shoulder nib his ear affectionally before flying out of the window. Harry gathers the last things put them in his trunk and continues with his last chores.

10th August 1994, misuse of muggle artefacts, DMLE, MoM 2nd floor, London

It was nearing 5 PM and Arthur knows he has at least half an hour left before he can go home. Amelia made sure he could work from the ministry today than at the location of the Quidditch World Cup which always makes him go home late.

Amelia suddenly walks in and asks "Director Weasley, can I have a moment of your time?"

Arthurs says "of course Director Bones. What can I do for you?"

Amelia says "I would prefer to have this in my office."

Arthur immediately stands up and walks toward her as he says "of course, Director Bones lead the way."

10th August 1994, Director Bones office, DMLE, MoM 2nd floor, London

Amelia walks in and takes a seat with Arthur right behind her.

Amelia waves her head and the door closes. Amelia asks "Arthur are you still going to get Harry from his relatives today?"

Arthur nods. Amelia smiles. She actually hoped she could do it but why would Harry trust her more than the Weasleys especially as Amelia trusts Arthur almost more than her deputy and the Head Auror. Sure there were a few Aurors she trusts more but Arthur is surely at the top of her list of people she can trust.

Amelia thinks 'I only met Harry last summer maybe I should have looked for him after the faithful night, but I still can't believe Siri betrayed his brother in all but blood and actually is his cousin through Dorea Potter who was a Black and was the younger sister of Lord Black at the time Sirius and James were born.'

Amelia wants to say she doesn't trust Dumbledore, especially as Harry's guardian as she can't remember Lily of James ever saying that Dumbledore will be Harry's guardian and as long as he has a magical guardian Dumbledore will only be headmaster of Hogwarts and never guardian even at Hogwarts. She decided to not say that as she suspects Arthur does trust or at least respects Dumbledore a lot although he has never seen him in the wizengamot as the House of Weasley lost their seat many generations ago and when Dumbledore is in the wizengamot how he acts is the biggest concern and the biggest reason why she doesn't trust him.

Amelia says "please wish him a happy birthday from me. I understand you will take him to the Quidditch World Cup with Hermione Granger and your sons and daughter?"

Arthur nods and says "yes Molly doesn't want to come along as she can do the school shopping that day as it should be relatively quiet because of the World Quidditch Cup."

Amelia nods as she would do it with Susan before the Quidditch World Cup together with Hannah and her mother.

Amelia says "I hope you can tell Harry that Susan is also there with her friend Hannah and I am sure they would like to see Harry, Hermione and your sons and daughter before the match start."

Arthur says "I think would like to, especially as in some of Ginny's letters Susan was mentioned by name and she likes her. We plan to arrive on the morning of the game."

Amelia says "I was planning after lunch but maybe they would like to go earlier."

Arthur says "I am sure they won't mind waiting until after lunch to have a chance to see Susan and Hannah."

Amelia asks "are you sure?"

Arthur nods as he says "yes. I mean we need to leave quite early to get the Portkey as you should know as only one Portkey leave relatively close to my house and that is early in the day. I wouldn't be surprised if some would like to sleep a few hours, especially Ron."

Amelia knows that Susan doesn't like Ron but it would be disrespectful to say that. Amelia hopes that Ron would mature like James as Lily didn't like James (and Sirius) until the start of the fifth year when he was acting more mature although she started to like him before that Lily told her in confidence. The only difference is that Susan loves Harry, not Ron and most probably never will even if he matures.

Amelia says "well there is enough time before the match for them to meet up. I think mostly they will be near the stadium as most of the stalls are there."

Arthur says "I suspect my children including Hermione and Harry would also spend some time there before the match there besides lunch and dinner especially Ron wouldn't miss both but to be honest Ginny and twins are the same even if there is some food there."

Amelia says "well I think they will meet around the stadium then. I see it is almost 5:30 PM and I don't want you to be too late to pick up Harry. As I am not sure if I have time to see you between today and after the Quidditch World Cup I need to know if you have everything ready."

Arthur nods and says "I did Amelia. From the Aurors that work for my department the four days around the Quidditch World Cup Perkins works here in the misuse of muggle artefacts office while I am in the field. During those four days, a couple of m Aurors work here for anything that falls under my sub-department that is not involved with the Quidditch World Cup. I, myself as another part of my Aurors will work at the Quidditch World Cup for any misuse of muggle artefacts that is not regulated by the ministry or illegal also will my Aurors provide extra protection with the Aurors office. The other Aurors that don't work are at least be on standby and most of them are at the Quidditch World Cup anyways while a very few will not and be on standby for Perkins. Also as you requested the list with Aurors on duty and standby for the Quidditch World Cup I, personally given to the Head Auror."

Amelia says "well as you see you have everything in hand I will not keep you any longer."

Arthur stands up and says "yes I better be going. If you need anything Amelia you know how to contact me although for most of the coming weeks I will be on the field at the location of the Quidditch World Cup."

10th August 1994, Privet Drive 4, Little Whining, Surrey, England

At 06:15 PM Harry is done with everything and also has everything already packed. He wants to drag his trunk downstairs but he is sure Vernon will see that as something unnatural inside his house and Vernon has been clear that everything from him that could be considered unnatural would not be allowed outside of his bedroom except the cupboard under the stairs.

Harry walks downstairs and sees that Vernon and Dudley area in the living room while Petunia is cleaning in the already clean kitchen. A few minutes later Petunia sees him but doesn't say anything and also takes a seat in the living room.

Vernon does see Harry and snarls "I hope you told them to dress properly, these… people."

Harry decides to stand in the kitchen as there was no space for him in the living room and he thinks that if he is here he could be closer to both doors, the front door and the back door so his relatives don't need to meet them.

Just when the clock strikes 6:30 PM Harry hears a sound he has heard before. It sounds like a big ball of fire hits something. Harry knows it is the floo. He hears the same sound twice soon after each other.

Harry walks into the living room. Harry hears from inside the blocked-off fireplace Mr. Weasley say "ouch! Fred, no….. go back, go back, there's been some kind of mistake…. tell George not to….. OUCH! George, no, there's no room."

Harry asks "Mr. Weasley are you there? Are you all right? Are the twins with you? Are they all right?"

Mr. Weasley hears Harry and says "yes Harry I am here with Fred and George and we are all right. Can you tell us where you are as I don't see you?"

Harry says "you need to remove the wall as the fireplace has been blocked off."

Mr. Weasley says "ah yes I see. Give me a second. Harry make sure you are not near the wall of the fireplace."

It took only a couple of seconds before the wall exploded outwards. The Dursleys have stayed quiet the whole time not believing that Mr. Weasley, Fred and George somehow were in the fireplace.

Fortunately, all the Dursleys were unharmed as they also left the couch and had walked towards the kitchen but remained in the living room.

Mr. Weasley is the first one to step out of the fireplace immediately followed by Fred and George.

"Hello, Harry!" says Mr. Weasley brightly. "Got your trunk ready?"

"It's upstairs," says Harry, grinning back.

"We'll get it," said Fred at once at least Harry thinks it is Fred.

Winking at Harry, Fred and George left the room. They know where Harry's bedroom is, having once rescued him from it in the dead of night with a flying car. Right after the wink the other twin 'accidentally' let a bag of sweets fall out of his pocket. Harry can see big, fat toffees in brightly coloured wrappers. The toffees roll in every direction.

Less than 3 minutes later the twins come down with Harry's trunk on one of them carrying Hedwig's empty cage. Harry wonders why he even still has the cage as Hedwig flies to Hogwarts almost every time and during the summer she mostly is out flying messages or hunting as long as his Uncle doesn't prevent it like he didn't after Sirius's message through muggle mail.

Dudley looks like being glued to the wall and with both hands running nervously on his backside to prevent them from having the same target and getting a pigtail again as Hagrid did. Dudley does it to prevent anything from happening to his backside. Dudley sees a toffee near him. He uses the wall

Arthur weaves his wand sending his trunk to the Burrow and says "Fred, George you go first."

They nod and walk to the fireplace. One of the twins grabs a pouch out of his pocket and gives it to the other. They both grab a handful before giving it to Mr. Weasley. They are the first to floo out. Just as they floo out one after the other the last twin sees Dudley eating the toffee.

Harry sees the large smile and looks at Dudley eating the toffee. Almost immediately Dudley's tongue starts growing. It took only a few seconds before Dudley's tongue have grown into a huge purple tongue. Harry doesn't know how long the tongue is but it looks like at least three feet. Harry tries not to laugh as he grabs floo powder out of the pouch one of the twins gave to Mr. Weasley.

Harry walks to the fireplace as Mr. Weasley asks "Harry don't you need to say your goodbye?"

Harry turns around shrugs and says "oh all right … goodbye."

Petunia, Vernon and Dudley don't even say anything not that Harry excepted they say anything. Harry thinks 'even if they said anything it would be something about how happy they are they are shot of me for the remainder of the summer.'

Harry took the last step into the fireplace and says loudly "the Burrow" before throwing the floo powder down where he stands and in an instance, in a large green flame he is gone. The last thing he saw was Vernon throwing things toward him and Mr. Weasley who is right beside the fireplace.

Harry doesn't know that his relatives are amazed although Vernon and Petunia hope that Harry is dead. Still, with the twins, the same happened. While they thought that Dudley was panicking because of the large tong. When Dudley makes a sound Vernon and Petunia focus on Dudley. Petunia tried to calm him down while Vernon turns as purple as Dudley's tongue demanding Mr. Weasley to get Dudley's tongue to shrink.

However, when Mr. Weasley points his wand at Dudley Petunia screams which makes Vernon demand Mr. Weasley do it without the unnaturalness. It took almost 15 minutes until Mr. Weasley flooed back home sighing heavily not because he is tired but because it took more than 10 minutes to 'convince' Harry's relatives to help him 'cure' Dudley from his giant tongue.

Let's end here for now. I want to apologize for the large time between updates as the next will also probably be.

In the next chapter we see Harry's arrival at the Burrow, will Hermione accept Ginny's idea?, the Quidditch World Cup and maybe even the last days of the summer if the words count allows it.
