Chapter 51 The train ride fourth year and the first night.
A/N Just imagine that every male especially Harry and Ron didn't have a bad hair year.
1st September 1994, Platform 9 ¾, King's Cross Station
It is 10:58 am when the Weasleys, Harry and Hermione enter the platform. Hermione has been stressed out the entire morning and the longer it took for them to get ready and get to King's Cross station the more stressed out she got.
Eventually earlier today Ginny asked Harry to calm Hermione down. Harry tried but nothing worked. Ginny knew what would but it was too soon for Harry. Finally, he did manage to calm her down a bit with his presence but it wasn't enough to not let her be stressed. Ginny knows in time Harry's mere presence would be enough to prevent her from being stressed out or feeling anxious among other bad feelings although there is also the good kind of anxiety Ginny knows.
The twins, Ron, Ginny, Hermione and Harry immediately push their carts to the closest carriage. The twins help the others to put their trunks on the train. Mr. Weasley hugs Ginny and gives a man hug to the twins and Ron. He gives Hermione a smaller hug like he hugged Ginny and give Harry a manly pat on his back. Mrs. Weasley gives all a big hug and the moment she lets a very red Harry go the train starts to move.
The twins, Ron, Ginny, Hermione and Harry wave. They see Mr. Weasley glare somewhere and when the train rides by they see Mr. Weasley probably glaring at Malfoy who has a very smug smile before entering the carriage to find a compartment to sit in. Just like normal Hedwig's cage is empty while Crookshanks is sleeping in his container.
As expected the twins find a compartment with Lee and the chasers. Katie greets Harry with a small blush while Angelina and Alicia give Harry a big sisterly hug like an older sister greets her younger brother. Katie was pulled up by Angelina to hug Harry and you could see that this was anything but a sisterly hug. Alicia almost need to drag Katie off Harry so they could find their own compartment. They would like it if they joined but the compartment was too small for all four to enter especially with their trunk and animals containers.
Eventually, near the second to last carriage, they find a compartment with only Neville tending to a plant and Luna Lovegood watching through the window. Harry without asking the others walks in and greets Neville and Luna. Luna just smiles while Neville excitedly greets Harry. Harry asks if they can join. Both Neville and Luna agree. Neville even helps them to put their trunk away. It is a tight fit in the luggage racks with all the trunks but with the animal containers on the bench with them it fits.
Luna says the moment they sit down "I see. Can I also k…."
Ginny almost jumps at Luna to stop her talking and says "we talk about that later Luna, but I think you can."
Luna says "alright Ginevra … I mean Ginny."
Luna whispers "I hope he will like it."
Ginny whispers "I know he does."
Hermione immediately grabs a book as does Ginny, Luna who seems to wait for them and Harry. Neville continues tending to his plant. When Ron sees nobody will play chess or exploding snaps he tries to get some more sleep. Ron does have his small energetic owl with him. Hermione immediately cast a silencing charm especially as Ron complained he couldn't get some more sleep if his owl keeps making a ruckus.
Around lunchtime, Ron wakes up and sees that Harry and Neville were talking while Hermione was showing Luna and Ginny things in their book about Ancient Runes. Almost 30 minutes later the trolley with sweets asked if they want something. Harry bought a couple of Cauldron Cakes and Pumpkin Pasties. Also, Liquorice wands one for each.
Ron used most of his money for more sweets already. Ginny and Hermione rolled their eyes as he got the money for Hogsmeade although he will also use it all on sweets from Honeydukes.
Hermione, Ginny and Neville wanted to refuse but Harry wouldn't let them. Luna accepted it without trying to refuse and give him a radiant smile to make Harry feel a bit awkward and shy, but very happy. Hermione and Ginny see Harry happy and accept it which makes Neville immediately agree. Ron didn't even agree before he start eating Harry's gift and the sweets he bought on his own.
The lady from the trolley said if they want some more she will be at the front of the train. Everyone thanks her although Ron does it with his mouth full and is barely understandable. Hermione and Ginny glare at Ron but he doesn't seem to notice as he immediately continues eating the sweets.
Barely an hour later the door suddenly opened and like expected Malfoy and his goons are in the doorway to the compartment.
Like normal Malfoy says "well Scarhead it seems you have finally found your kind. A squib, Looney, Weasel and Weaselette and of course the mudblood. Why am I not supr…."
Malfoy smiles and says "I know you wonder what is going on at Hogwarts this year for what you need dress robes."
Harry asks "you know?"
Malfoy says "of course, I know Scarhead, but it would be a wonder if the Weasley's father even knows what is happening. It is way above his pay grade for that I am sure. I wonder how much their ….. 'house' got them to get dress robes probably they all need to use one suit. Although Weaslette I can help you if yo…"
Within a second Harry is almost in Malfoy's face. No one from the compartment, Malfoy or his goons has seen Harry move. Harry says "shut up Malfoy, just go crying like a little daddy's boy in some corner somewhere."
Harry gives Draco a push and closes the compartment. Draco opens the compartment and says "you little …."
Draco whites as he sees all wands pointed at his face. Well, all but two as Ginny and Luna aim the wand a quite bit lower. Ginny has a hateful and mischievous smile on her face. Luna has a little sad for someone calling her Looney again, especially in front of Harry. Although the moment Harry pushed Draco outside he smiles at her. Luna is barely able to prevent from blushing as she feels that Harry didn't only stop Malfoy for the others but also for her.
Luna thinks 'are the Nargles right that Harry will do what he said he will? But he is still a fourth year. I see that he is very strong, but something isn't right when I look at him, but I don't know what. Maybe there is more than one thing? All I now know is I can trust Harry completely.'
The thought make her smile even more. Draco sees the smile from Luna and decides that it is time to retreat. He says "I don't want to waste my time on you Scarhead and your group of …."
Harry almost growls "go now Malfoy before …."
Malfoy see to not push his luck immediately closes the door and Harry, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Ginny and Luna see Draco almost run away with his goons following,
Hermione simply says "idiot" before sitting back and continuing to show Ginny and Luna things in her Ancient Runes book. Ron rolls his eyes and asks Harry and Neville to play exploding snaps. Neville wants to put his books away to play but waits on Harry's decision. Harry wants to when he feels Hermione's glare. He looks and sees in her eyes she will not like it.
Harry says "I would like to do it. However, Hermione is helping Ginny and Luna to get a head start in Ancient Runes which is a good idea. Why don't we do it tonight in our dorm with Seamus and Dean?"
Ron shrugs and says "fine Harry."
Hermione says "you can't Harry. Tomorrow is Friday we just have class."
Harry says "I am sure once doesn't matter."
Harry sees Hermione but now also Ginny glares at him. He says "otherwise we will do it tomorrow night."
Ron says "that is probably even better" when he sees Ginny glaring at him that reminds him of times when their mother is very angry.
It was nearly time to change when the compartment door opens again. They look and a girl with crimson red hair opens the door. She sees them and says "hello Harry."
Harry says "oh hello Susan."
Behind Harry sees Hannah and says "and hello to you too Hannah."
Susan can barely suppress herself from throwing herself at Harry. She is so happy Harry is unhurt like her Auntie said although he did run into some Death Eaters according to her Aurors and Arthur Weasley. She wanted to trust her Auntie but the Death Eaters are very dangerous although there were no casualties and no wizards or witches were missing to Amelia's knowledge. Susan wanted to see Harry earlier but her friends from her dorm made her wait to not reveal Susan and Harry have something more than friends as they know about the marriage contract between Susan and Harry.
Hermione and Ginny immediately stand up. When Ginny sees Luna isn't standing up she looks at her. Luna gave her a dreamy smile and slowly stands up.
Hermione tries to sound normal "hello Susan and Hannah."
Hermione and Ginny like Susan and Hannah but they also know that Susan likes Harry a lot if she doesn't love him already. They know she is a treat for their plan with Harry. With Luna and possible Katie Ginny and Hermione think they are already pushing to be accepted by law at least pushing Harry to accept them. Harry doesn't seem to notice Susan loves him.
Hermione and Ginny think exactly the same thing 'how dense can Harry be? Or actually, how can all-boys de so dense?'
Hermione and Ginny can't suppress a small giggle before immediately glaring at Susan again. Hermione and Ginny give a sharp look and hope Harry doesn't see it or notice the look. Hannah does see and when she looks at her best friend she sees why Susan doesn't see it. Susan has only eyes for Harry with almost lovesick eyes. The most lovesick Hannah has ever seen Susan's eyes.
When nothing was said for a few minutes Hannah says "it is great to see you. Come on Susan we need to change soon."
Hannah drags Susan away and Harry gives a small smile what makes Susan smile only grew and her lovesick eyes intensify what Hermione, Ginny and Luna notice. While Hermione and Ginny don't like it Luna's smile just grew. Luna knows she needs to find Fred and George soon as she knows one of the additional girls. The last summer, the number of girls didn't change to more or less but she slowly started to recognize them. She knows not all the girls are with the Harry she dreamed of although some decisions can still increase or decrease the amount and the decisions are coming. Fortunately, some decisions which would give a great increase have already passed and Harry acted accordingly to not let that happen. While Luna knows Harry deserves much love she has seen that too much love will give Harry more problems than less at first but when he gets past the problem it will be what he deserves and does the girls.
Almost half an hour later Hermione says "we need to change."
Harry says "sure come on Neville, Ron."
They nod and leave the girls alone. Hermione close the blinds so they could look inside although she can't deny she wouldn't mind too much if it is Harry but not from the other side of the window that make her feel dirty. She wouldn't mind Harry in the compartment but that is too forward and she doesn't want others to know especially Ron as he will go mental that Harry can be certainly can't. Ginny seems to have the same thought as she just like Hermione look at the blinds to the point where Harry stood when they closed the blinds. Although Ginny knows if she does Ron will send her mother a letter and a howler will be the least of her problems probably calling her a scarlet woman among other humiliating words like whore.
While Harry, Ron and Neville talk about the Quidditch World Cup and Ron goes on and on about how the Chudley Cannons would have won the finales from every team no matter which one inside Hermione, Ginny and Luna have started to dress in their school clothes.
Luna sees Ginny and Hermione's underwear and she says "I wish my undies were so colourful."
Hermione asks surprised "what?"
Luna gives a smile and says "your undies. I only have white. I only got one that is in Ravenclaw colour as is normal. My mother made sure I had one and can get new ones until I am 21. I like your red one Hermione and Ginny your black one looks so good."
Ginny says "Luna I will give you a hug when I have my uniform on. Also, I think you should tell Hermione about your mother. I mean we want you with us sharing Harry I think she deserves to know."
Hermione asks "Ginny does that mean you have one of Gryffindor?"
Ginny says "I wish. Those are quite expensive even the ones of bad quality. Also, the undies as Luna put it my mother finds that only scarlet women wear them and forbade me to get them, although most of the Houses coloured underwear are at least a little more modest than this black one although there are also more … daring for the upper years. My mother said she would burn them if she find any of them. I think she will do it so I wouldn't try to get some. I don't normally wear these undies like the black one as I think my mother will also burn these too. As Hogwarts do the laundry I can wear them here."
"I do have one Gryffindor nightdress which is normal although it is very modest and it is not very good quality it is all I could get as I did get a new dress. It was better quality and have more Gryffindor nightdresses or a new dress. The choice was easy if you ask me although my mother didn't really ask."
There is a knock and Harry asks "Hermione, Ginny, Luna is everything alright? Are you almost done? We need to change too."
Hermione says "we are almost done just give us a couple more minutes."
Harry says "alright. I guess we have enough time."
Hermione says "let's dress quickly and then if you want Luna I like to know what Ginny means. We can discuss nightdresses and our underwear in our House colour another time."
Ginny and Luna nod. Luna says "I would like to know where you get them. I really like them, maybe there is one in Harry's eye colour as it will feel like Harry is watching me while I sleep although I would probably go for a nightdress."
Ginny can't suppress a laugh and asks "Hermione?"
Ginny knows Hermione has one like that. Hermione blushes and says "there is Luna and why Ginny asks is that I have one with Harry's eye colour although it is not a nightdress. It does feel like he is with me and watching over me but like I said we can talk another time when we are in private. Now dress."
A few minutes later they are done. Hermione says towards the door "almost done Harry."
Harry after a couple of seconds responds "alright. Take your time."
Ginny takes a seat and drags Luna with her. Ginny looks at Hermione. Hermione understands and takes a seat on the other side of Luna.
Ginny asks "Luna can you tell Hermione?"
Luna says "yes Ginny. Hermione my mother died when I was nine. She created spells and one went wrong. Mom has cast a shield spell around me when she started for the chance something like that happened. My daddy was on a trip and when he came home mom has died. I don't know how long mom has died I just remember waiting for daddy to come home while holding my mother's head in my lap as she did when I went to sleep. She didn't wake up."
Hermione is shocked and gasps. Ginny who never cries couldn't suppress getting tears in her eyes. They hug her and Luna couldn't help but sob a bit. Ginny says "Luna I am so sorry. I wanted to come by but my mother forbade me after your mother died. I wanted to attend the funeral to be there for you my best friend but even my mother forbade that."
Luna says "I know Ginny you told me. I just know that someday I will see her again. It may sound wrong but I see Harry helping me meet mommy again and not in death."
Hermione says "Luna nobody can bring the dead back."
Luna smiles and says "I know Hermione but I still see it."
Hermione almost screams "see. You are a seer?"
Ginny gives Hermione a sharp look. Luna says "I think so, but I can't see everything clearly. Sometimes things need to happen before I see clearly, sometimes things need to happen and something I won't know until seconds or minutes before it happens like the Dementor attack last year. Sometimes I don't see anything that will happen."
Hermione says "so you are. I don't trust much in divination but Seer is one of the things I do believe in. Also what you said sounds like Seers from the past. Is that the reason you know things without being said?"
Luna shakes her head and says "no the Nargles tell me most of the things like you sharing Harry and that you would like to do it with me and one of the Gryffindor chasers. I do want to say that there will be more I just don't know how much but Susan Bones seems interested."
Hermione wants to scream but Ginny jumps past Luna to put her hand over Hermione's mouth. Ginny says "at another time Hermione."
Hermione slowly nods and says "thank you Luna I will not tell anyone."
Luna nods and says "alright Hermione but don't look Dumbledore or Snap in their eyes. Also, make sure you are never alone with them no matter what. If you need to speak with Snape have at least someone with you. If Dumbledore needs to speak with you, you can Professor McGonagall as your head of house be present especially as you have muggle parents. If it is school-related but not detention you can ask to talk with Professor McGonagall instead of Dumbledore."
Hermione wonders. Luna says "Hermione please believe me. It is for me but also for Harry... wait maybe it doesn't matter..."
Hermione immediately agrees. She will do anything for Harry. However, after a few seconds, she knows she will also do it as Luna asked. Hermione remembers Sirius's letter. She stood next to Harry so she could also read it although Harry may not know. She didn't read further after Sirius told Harry about Snape and Dumbledore as she was wondering if Sirius was right and started to recall everything about Dumbledore and Snape.
There is a hard knock and they hear Ron "are you girls done already, we also need to change. I give you one minute."
They hear Harry says "let them, Ron. We give them the time they need."
Neville says "yes Ron. Harry is right also we still have enough time to change. We are done in a few minutes."
Hermione says "just a minute or two."
Harry says "alright we will wait, won't we Ron."
Ron groans and says "yes we will."
Almost a minute later Hermione opens the compartment door. She walks out followed by Ginny and Luna. Luna has a little bit of red around her eyes but Harry, Neville and Ron don't notice as it is barely visible.
A little over 5 minutes later Neville opens the door to let the girls enter again. Almost like Neville knew he sits next to Ron while Hermione and Ginny immediately sit on the same side of Harry. Harry is sitting against the window. They know Harry likes to be to the side of the window or the door. Hermione and Ginny had hoped they both could sit on one side of Harry but that is not possible. Luna decides to sit on the same side as Harry, Hermione and Ginny. Normally four on one side will be a tight fit but as Ginny and Luna aren't big or fat all four can easily sit.
Almost an hour later they drive into Hogsmeade and start to leave the train. Before they are even off the platform Katie sees them. She immediately walks to them and greets them. Katie is surprised to see that Hermione and Ginny greet her warmly while she expected that they will treat her coldly. Early in the summer, she understands Hermione and Ginny know she has an interest in Harry.
Katie can't help but push them to give Harry a big hug. To Katie's big surprise Hermione and Ginny don't look mad at her or try to stop her. First, she thinks that one of them is already in a relationship with Harry. Katie looks and sees a Ravenclaw in the group. The Ravenclaw nod toward Ginny and Hermione. It seems to relax Katie.
Katie is even happier when she notices that Harry doesn't tense up from her hug like before. Harry does tense up to prevent him from falling over with Katie.
Harry says while being hugged "hey Katie. How was your summer?"
Katie says "it was great. I was only disappointed that I couldn't get tickets for the Quidditch World Cup. It was sold out even before I knew it was in England. Angelina and Alicia were the same. How about you?"
Harry says "fine I guess. Mr. Weasley got me and Hermione a ticket for the Quidditch World Cup."
Katie asks "really? How was it?"
Hermione doesn't mind Katie talking with Harry especially since she saw Luna nod that Katie will probably choose for sharing. Hermione says "Katie, Harry let's get towards the carriage we don't want to be late for the feast."
Katie says "you are right. I need to go Angelina, Alicia and the twins said they wait for me. Harry why don't you come with me."
Katie immediately sees Ginny and Hermione don't like that. Suddenly Katie has the feeling to not displease Hermione and to a lesser degree Ginny. Katie immediately says "maybe it is better to see you at the table. I will leave a couple of seats open for you."
Katie immediately almost run towards the carriages. Harry looks confused not that he wanted to leave Hermione, Ron, Neville, Ginny and Luna alone but he couldn't even politely decline to see her at the table unless she would be alone in the carriage. The carriages can contain six people but Katie seems to have forgotten that.
They slowly walk towards the carriage. They see Katie, Angelina, Alicia, Fred and George being driven off in the carriage. Harry suddenly feels breath behind him and turns around to as it looks like it is the last carriage.
When they see the carriages Harry needs to blink twice. He is sure he sees a horse-like creature. He has seen them since the end of his first year. At the start of his second year, he didn't use the carriage on the first day and on the last day he was too distracted. He was the same earlier in the third year and at the end of the third year.
Harry asks "what is it?"
The others turn around only Luna smiles to see the horse but why does make her a bit sad.
Ron asks bored "what?"
Harry asks "that .. in front of the carriage."
Hermione asks "nothing is pulling the carriage Harry. It's in pulling itself like always."
Harry walks slowly past the horse while still looking at it to get in the carriage. Before he can step into the carriage Luna stand beside him and says "you are not going mad. I can see them too. You are just as sane as I am."
Harry asks "what is it?"
Before Luna can tell Ron says "whatever it may be or not I am very hungry."
Hermione and Ginny look crossly at Ron. Luna says "hungry. I hope there is pudding, I like pudding."
Harry says "if you want I will make sure you get some pudding."
Luna says "really Harry, thank you very much."
Harry says "no problem Luna. Can you tell what the horses are?"
Before Luna can answer Ron always says "who cares. I am wondering who will be the new keeper of Gryffindor. Do you think I can do it, Harry?"
Ron cutting Harry's answer make Ginny and Hermione mad. Luna is a bit sad, but Ginny gives her a hug that Harry and Ron don't notice.
Ginny whispers in Luna's ear "don't mind Ron, he only has Quidditch and food on his mind. We can answer Harry later. I am sure he doesn't forget his question or you for that matter."
Luna got her dreamy smile back. Harry looks at her and gives her one of his apologetic smiles. Harry says "well you need to get through the try-out. You can ask Angelina when the try-outs are. I think she is the new captain."
Ron keeps talking about being a keeper. Ginny knows Harry doesn't want to make Ron stop. Ginny saw Harry's smile at Luna which removed Luna's little sadness for Ron. Ginny wants to do the same as Ron did to Luna and decides to talk about Quidditch and the all-female team the Holyhead Harpies Ron hates the most.
Ginny doesn't talk about being a chaser as she will know Ron will send a letter to their mother. Normally Ron asks Harry to borrow Hedwig or use one of the school owls but with his new owl he can do it whenever he wants and she cannot stop him. If he wants to use Hedwig he is sure she can convince Harry to not let Ron or ask Hedwig to refuse as Hedwig seems to like her and Hermione. If they ask both she will probably refuse if Harry isn't sure. Ginny knows that if she and Hermione ask Harry to not let Ron use Hedwig he may let Hedwig decide.
Hermione suddenly says "I wonder if something is wrong with Crookshanks she has been quiet the whole ride."
Harry says "I think he is. He looked like sleeping."
Hermione says "maybe you are right. According to my parents, he was awake quite a lot when I was away. He kept following my mom around."
Harry smiles and says "see he just wants to rest and knows that he will see you soon. Right after the feast."
Hermione says "Harry, I guess you are right."
The remaining of the ride was Ginny and Ron almost fighting who is the better team the Chudley Cannon or the Holyhead Harpies. Harry is stupid enough to mention Puddlemere United which made both Ginny and Ron glare at him. He immediately says "just forget what I said."
It made Ron and Ginny go at it again until they reaches Hogwarts and Ron immediately stops. He just says "dinner" before almost running into Hogwarts.
Harry shakes his head. He can't suppress a smile at Ron's empty stomach which makes him look like a child on Christmas morning. They all follow at a normal pace Ron into Hogwarts.
1st September 1994, Great Hall, Hogwarts
When they walk in they still see a lot of students still talking. Harry, Hermione, Ginny and Neville say goodbye to Luna and hope she will have a nice meal while also having her pudding.
Luna says "if there isn't pudding I am sure I will get it as Harry promised."
Harry smiles and says "of course, I will Luna. Now we better go sit before the first years are here."
They all nod. When they look over the Gryffindor table they see Katie immediately wave them over. They walk to Katie, the twins, Angelina and Alicia. They don't see Ron. When they took a seat and sees Ron sitting a few places further down the table salivating waiting for food to appear. He is just staring at the middle of the table in front of him.
It takes only a few minutes before Professor McGonagall walks towards the doors of the Great Hall meaning the first years have arrived. Everyone stops talking and waits for Professor McGonagall with the group of first years so the sorting can start before dinner is served.
It takes only a few minutes before Professor McGonagall walks in followed by the first years. This is the first time Harry sees the sorting from others. He immediately sees the muggleborns and the so-called purebloods or at least has magical parents. It is difficult to see the half-bloods with one magical parent.
The muggleborns look amazed and a bit lost while the purebloods walk with confidence and some walk arrogantly that reminding him of Malfoy both Lucius and Draco. Those are obviously pureblood that are probably also believe in blood purity. The owners that are in between are probably half-bloods, muggleborns or pureblood who are impressed. If he remembers correctly Hermione also walked with confidence while she is a muggleborn. She learned a lot about Hogwarts which was part of her confidence no doubt.
Almost 15 minutes later the sorting is done. Dumbledore stands up and starts giving his speech welcoming everyone back and greeting the first years. That the Forbidden Forest is forbidden and that all banned items are posted on Mr. Filch's door. When Dumbledore sits down food start to appear.
Dinner is uneventful although all around the Great Hall the Quidditch World Cup is the main subject of talking including what the Wizengamot and ministry did after. Also about what is about to happen this year at Hogwarts mostly why dress robes are needed. Harry sees Luna have pudding so he doesn't need to call for Dobby to give Luna pudding. Harry feels a bit sad as Luna sits at the edge of the table and most seem to avoid her. Why they do avoid her is beyond him?
At the end of dinner, Dumbledore stands up and says "I have the news that this year the Quidditch house cup is cancelled."
The whole room exploded with the noise of disagreement and shock.
The twins immediately yell "that is rubbish."
The chasers look shocked while on Angelina's face understanding dawns.
Suddenly the enchanted roof starts to show lightning and hard thunder roars overhead. A high window breaks with a lightning bolt hitting it. The glass lucky doesn't hit anyone but rains start to go through the window. Because of the big sounds and suddenly raining inside screams start to break out.
The big door of the great hall opens and a strange man stands in the doorway. Harry immediately remember him from the previous summer when he stayed at the Leaky Cauldron. He remembers Susan introduced him as Master Auror Moody. He also remembers Professor McGonagall calling him by his first name Alastor.
Moody pulls the wand out within a second and cast magic upwards. It seals the roof and makes the enchantment settle down to a normal night. With the rain stopping and the normal night returned as shown with the enchantment peace is restored.
The twins say "it's Mad-Eye Moody."
They hear Ron almost shout "bloody hell, it's Mad-Eye Moody."
Hermione asks "Alastor Moody? The Auror…. wait wasn't he with use the previous summer Harry?"
Harry nods.
Ron has somehow become closer and they hear him say "he is a catcher. Half the cells in Azkaban are full thanks to him. He's supposed to be mad as a hatter though these days. He is supposed to be retired according to dad."
Moody walks in towards the teacher's table but his magical eye is rolling around as he walks between the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff table what is the main way that also Professor McGonagall and the first years took before dinner.
Moody obviously limps and breathes heavily when he walks up. Dumbledore walks past this standard where he always tells announcements towards Moody.
Dumbledore almost smiles largely and says "my dear old friend, thanks for coming.."
Everyone is quiet. They hear Moody say "that stupid roof."
Moody walks to the side and grabs his vial. He takes a large gulp. He closes the vail and you see his magical eye rolls around. Dumbledore has taken place behind his
Harry hears someone ask "what's that he's drinking do you suppose?"
Harry says "I don't know but I don't think it's Pumpkin Juice."
Dumbledore grabs everyone's attention again by Professor McGonagall using her glass and a spoon.
Dumbledore says "as I said the Quidditch House Cup is cancelled this year. It is cancelled as Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. The Tri-Wizard tournament. Now for those of you who do not know, the tri-wizard tournament brings together the three best schools in Europe for a series of magical contests. From each school, a single contestant is selected to compete. Now let me be clear, if chosen you stand alone. And trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint-hearted."
"The other schools will arrive on the 30th of October. The other schools will stay until the end of the school year and may if the Professor allows attend some classes here otherwise will follow classes in their own accommodations. We will give them a Hogwarts welcome and at that time more will be revealed. You have until the 31st of October to think if you want to compete. Once you try to be Hogwarts Champion there is no turning back. Once chosen you must compete. The imperial judge who chooses the Champion from each school will be presented the night after the other schools have arrived."
"I am sure this will be told again but it is important to know that after much deliberation the ministry has concluded that for their own safety no student under the age of seventeen shall be allowed to put forth their name for the tri-wizard tournament. This decision is final."
The room explodes again and this time there are shouts around the great hall with groans of disappointment. The twins again shout "that is rubbish" which sums up what everybody said.
After the Great Hall is quiet again he sends everybody to bed and again reminds everyone who can compete that they need to be 100% sure they want.
1st September 1994, Greengrass Manor, Wales
They are just having dinner when Isabel says "Jacob I think it is time to send the letters."
Jacob sighs and says "I know, but it is difficult on two accounts. First, my family never needed help or asked for it and it was shown as a sign of weakness. My father, rest his soul was very firm about that."
"Secondly, I don't want to pressure House Potter or House Black. If I pressure them too much or use Daphne and Astoria as leverage Malfoy getting us bankrupt is the least of our worries. House Potter and House Black have a lot of power that many generations after us will be bankrupt. Also, none of Daphne's and Astoria's children for many generations will be able to learn at Hogwarts, maybe even the other schools are too expensive."
Isabel nods and says "I understand Jacob, but we have no other course of action to take."
Jacob says "well…. there is one more."
Isabel asks "what do you mean? You can't be serious about giving in to Malfoy's demand, are you? It is even impossible because of the marriage contracts."
Jacob says "I will never give in to Malfoy's demand even if Daphne and Astoria didn't have a marriage contract."
Isabel nods with a large smile and asks "then what do you mean?"
Jacob says "when Malfoy started to intensify his treats like buying all the goods of some of the goods we import from our normal suppliers, Amelia Bones, Sarah Abbot and Augusta Longbottom offered to loan me some money and we can pay back when we have the money. I declined at the time as while Malfoy was being a problem it wasn't much and I certainly didn't think Malfoy could accomplish this. Also, I kind of counted on the farms of House Potter and House Black. I must admit I am impressed Malfoy made even family-owned farms banned to import or export."
Isabel says "do you think he will bring more problems?"
Jacob says "only trying to kill us, but that would lead everything to him as Amelia has seen and heard him threatening me. While that won't give him a conviction if we are killed our daughters will be safe if we die I think. House Potter and House Black will probably take them in and with the marriage contract they have the right."
Isabel says "yes I know the law, but I will feel a lot better if we can talk with Regent Potter and Lord Black. Did you already write a letter?"
Jacob shakes his head and says "no. I wanted to wait for you and if I had already sent them it will make Daphne and Astoria very anxious about what I wanted to keep their anxiety as much as possible. I know they are anxious as we told them, but the letter is their best hope."
Isabel nods and says "I understand but we can better do so."
Jacob nods and calls for Siri to get them two parchments, two envelopes, a quill and an inkpot. Within a minute Siri pops in with everything. Jacob thanks Siri and Siri pops out.
Isabel asks "why don't you let me write it, Jacob?"
Jacob says "maybe that is better you got much better handwriting than I have. Let's get started. I will say what you need to write if you have an idea please let me know although it wouldn't be long letters and almost the same."
Isabel nods and grabs the quill before putting it in the inkpot.
Jacob start:
Regent Potter,
As you undoubtedly know Heir Potter is betrothed to my oldest daughter Daphne Isabel Greengrass. I am Lord Jacob Cyrus Greengrass. I wish to have a meeting with you for a couple of reasons. I would like to know the real Regent Potter and most probably Heir Potter's real magical guardian, not Dumbledore although he claims he is both.
I suspect you talked with the Goblins and sent the proxies for House Potter and House Peverell away. Many may not know but I saw Dumbledore's mask fall for a second being mad and looking lost when it happened.
Also, I ask for a meeting for the sake of my oldest daughter and maybe even my younger daughter as I need your help. I know that you have no reason to provide aid in any way but I hope I can invite you to my manor to at least hear what I have to say.
I do want to assure you that even if you/ House Potter don't want to provide the help we will and cannot cancel the marriage contract as Daphne is very much in love with Heir Potter. Also, I want to assure you I wouldn't ask for help if it wasn't necessary and don't want to force you or House Potter as it is mostly for the future Lady Greengrass and future Lord Greengrass as the marriage contract was for Heir Potter to become Lord Greengrass after me and if they marry he will become Heir Greengrass if I am still alive.

Jacob looks at Isabel and she says "I think that will work Jacob. Although I think you push a bit much with everything about Harry becoming Heir Greengrass and everything. Daphne loves Harry I am sure, but you know she has the title ice-queen inside Hogwarts. What we have seen from Harry she needs to be warmer to Harry or Harry will not and that will hurt her more than just the marriage contract being cancelled."
Jacob nods and says "I think she will as soon as she can and that means somehow getting her, Astoria and probably Tracey out of Slytherin."
Isabel says "don't forget Lilian. Daphne says she likes her dorm mates and besides Tracey, the best she gets along with is Lilian and Pansy under Malfoy's thumb the poor girl and Millicent is with Pansy most of the time. Daphne wanted to say why but stopped herself. When I asked her why Daphne refused to tell me. If we get them out of Slytherin we may be able to get her to tell us or get her to tell Harry."
Isabel looks Jacob in the eye and asks "do you know why Daphne looks afraid or refused to tell me anything?"
Jacob says "I have no idea love, but I can guess with Malfoy's power over the dark families Malfoy is probably gathering power in Slytherin and that it will not be safe for Daphne, Astoria and in association Tracey and Lilian as we didn't sign the marriage contract."
Isabel asks "can we get them out?"
Jacob says "no unless the Head of House agrees with our fear and the Headmaster allows it. I don't trust Snape and certainly not Dumbledore. Also, I have been wondering about that elf why the elf suddenly brought other tea while the first tea looked perfectly fine. Anyway, the only other reason is through Harry. As he is the last of his line with a marriage contract with the possibility of having an heir he can request a private room."
"By the Hogwarts charter, he can his future wife or wives as you know the law Isabel with him in the private room and until OWL's it is allowed for the future wife or wives to sleep in separate beds and even rooms. From sixth year they need to sleep in the same bed and without contraception like the potion unless he has a Lady Potter than Daphne can as Astoria can also continue House Greengrass if Lord Black allows it."
Isabel says "yes, I am lucky I have taught Daphne and Astoria about multiple wives for Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom. Daphne may not like it but she will expect it. I just hope she will not fight with her sister-wives so to speak about who the head wife will be as she will certainly lose."
Jacob asks "why do you think that? Daphne is strong."
Isabel smiles and says "she is and maybe even the strongest of all the wives but she isn't Lady Potter. She will be Lady Greengrass while Lady Potter should be head wife unless Harry will accept Daphne but I am sure that Lady or Ladies Potter will fight against that even if they don't know why."
"I also taught Daphne and Astoria that if the Lady of the husband house is a Muggleborn, a half-blood or a pureblood house who don't have a wizengamot seat and therefore don't teach their children the law except probably the Heir it will be their duty to teach the Lady and if needed the Lord."
"I don't know if Harry needs it but I hope even if she battles to be the head wife she will not forget her duty. Also if Lady Potter is a Muggleborn, a half-blood or a pureblood house who doesn't have a wizengamot seat and therefore doesn't teach their children the law they need to be taught to not embarrass themselves or House Potter as pureblood society is very hard if you haven't been taught. I can, of course, also teach them if needed."
"You must not forget Jacob that there is a chance Astoria is also one of Heir's Black wives, not the only one. Especially if Draco Malfoy is removed from becoming Lord Black if the current heir dies. Astoria has the luck if you can see it like that she can become the head wife as she will be Lady Black, but she is different from Daphne and may still lose to become the head wife you also need more than just power."
Jacob says "no offence Isabel but I wouldn't be surprised if Astoria becomes also an Ice-queen or Ice-princess inside Hogwarts."
Isabel smiles and says "maybe that is for the best as long she isn't here and will be warmly against her husband like Daphne should be with Harry."
Jacob says "if needed and Regent Potter and I come to an agreement that Daphne needs to know about I will send Daphne a letter and Dumbledore of Professor McGonagall for Daphne to leave for a day or at least a couple of hours under house business, the same will do for Astoria is Lord Black and I come to an agreement that Astoria needs to know."
Isabel says "I suggest Professor McGonagall. Of the professors, she is the one of trust the most closely followed by Flitwick and Sprout. I don't know the others well enough, but also Professor McGonagall has the authority to let Daphne and or Astoria go home for a couple of hours maybe a day or even more if necessary. Of course, I don't trust Snape and Dumbledore I am not sure yet."
Jacob nods and says "yes I agree. Anyway, let's start on the second letter."
Isabel grabs the second parchment after putting the first parchment in the envelope and writing on the front:

I am Jacob Cyrus Greengrass and you have activated the marriage contract between Heir Black and my youngest daughter Astoria Ann Greengrass as this is also the first possible generation it can happen.
My youngest was severely distraught when the letter came. She was happy Draco Malfoy wasn't Heir Black, but she as would I and my wife would like to know who it is. While I trust your letter Lord Black about Draco Malfoy not being the Heir my youngest wants to know to start a friendship before a relationship to have a happy marriage. I hope you can understand that a happy marriage is the least we can do for your Heir and my daughter.
I must admit that I and my wife don't know who you are Lord Black so we have no idea who your Heir is or how he is even eligible to become Heir and hopefully many years from now Lord Black although I am sure he will be great at it.
Some unforeseen things have come up that may be bad for your Heir and my youngest daughter especially if they want to get to know each other. To prevent that from happening I hope that we can request a meeting with you or a representative.

Isabel nods and folds the letter into the last envelope. She writes on the front:

Both letters will go to Gringotts and Gringotts will make sure Regent potter and Lord Black get the letters. Isabel and Jacob have no idea where Lord Black and Regent Potter live. Jacob thinks 'I should have asked Daphne to find that out or maybe Amelia known as the director of the DMLE.'
Isabel and Jacob walk to the in house owlery. They have four owls one being from Daphne but that one is at Hogwarts at the moment. Astoria should get an owl next year but Jacob and Isabel know that it is almost impossible unless Lord Black helps them and allows her to get one and probably even buy it for her. Jacob and Isabel don't like to give so much power over their daughters to others even if one is to House Potter and Harry Potter.
Isabel and Jacob have heard horror stories about females marrying into houses at a young age. While Jacob and Isabel don't think House Potter or House Black as Draco isn't the heir will happen to their daughters it is understandable to be a bit afraid of it. Also while Draco Malfoy is one of the worst wizards to get married to there are a few who are just bad or even slightly worse. They both call for an owl. When they give the owls the letter and said Gringotts the owl took off.
2nd September 1994, Gryffindor fourth-year boys dorm, Hogwarts
It is early even though Harry isn't awake yet. Slowly something comes closer all the way from beyond the dungeon. She was able to use the darkness to come all the way to the Gryffindor tower. She could sneak in a couple of hours ago when the last Prefects, seventh-year Prefects came back from their patrol. They were too tired to notice someone sneak in with them.
She decided to stay in the common room hidden until it is almost morning. She feels that her master is still asleep. She wants to wait but it will not be long before other people wake up and then she can't get to her master.
She decides to go up. She has never been here before but she knows where to go. She wants to go to the fourth year dorm. She is assaulted by the noise. She wants to defend her master but when she sees nothing is wrong it is just one redhead she slowly went to her master while watching the redhead just in case. She sees her master and before anyone now what is going on she lies down under the covers so even if the others wake up before her master they will not see her unless they lift the covers, notice her body under the covers or look for her.
She is finally happy being close to her master again after the long summer. She has been able to train enough and she hopes her master will let her by his side from now on. She knows Hedwig will if she could, but that isn't allowed. She knows she needs to ask her master to find a way she can be with him. There should be a way to be with her master, she wants nothing more.
It is almost an hour later when she feels her master waking up. Harry wakes up and immediately feels something beside him. He pulls the covers up and has his wand pointed at her.
Harry asks §Medusa, it that you?§
Medusa nods and says §yes Master. I felt Master in the castle and couldn't wait to find Master.§
Harry says §oh. Well, I am happy to see you are alright I guess. Do you have regrown your fangs?§
Medusa nods and says §almost completely Master. I just need to stay in this form for a bit I hope by Christmas or new year the fangs have been regrown. I can at least bite again in this form.§
Harry says §I understand. I think you can better return to the chamber.§
Medusa shakes her head and immediately coils herself around Harry's left arm. She says §I don't want to go.§
Harry says §Medusa let me go. I also don't know for you to be with me as a snake isn't allowed.§
Medusa let go as her master orders her. Medusa is very sad and Harry feels that. He says §sorry Medusa. I am not mad and would like you to go with me but I don't know if you can.§
Medusa asks §Master can I coil around your arm for now?§
Harry says §yes, you can. I was just going to run outside to train.§
Medusa says §I would like to stay as long as I can.§
Harry says §alright we will see for now. You can stay at least when I run and we will see if there is a way for you to stay with me. Maybe I need to ask Hermione she will know all the Hogwarts rules and the Hogwarts charter.§
Medusa nods and asks §Hermione is the name of the witch that smell like Master. The witch I attacked last time?§
Harry nods. Harry says §you don't have to worry. She doesn't think you are still alive and also I think that as I trust you she will, but that is for a later time. I just need to put some training clothes on and I go outside. I guess you can come.§
Medusa nods happily. Harry is soon dressed and stretches his left arm to Medusa. She immediately coils around it. Harry asks her to go under his oversized shirt and Medusa immediately does as he asks.
2nd September 1994, Hogwarts grounds
The moment Harry is outside and starts running Hedwig appears and flies around him. Harry feels happy with Hedwig and Medusa close around him. He is running for almost an hour. He is returning when he sees someone with fair hair entering the Forbidden Forest. He thinks he has seen the hair before and follows the person. He enters the Forbidden Forest and follows the path. After almost 15 minutes he enters a clearing he hasn't seen before and sees the horse-like creatures around him.
Behind him, he hears "Hello Harry."
He jumps up and turns around. It is Luna with a bag and bare feet. Hedwig has landed in a tree before Luna has said anything. Hedwig hoots something that sounds a lot like the owl form of laughing.
He says "hello Luna. What are you doing here, isn't it a bit early?"
Luna smiles and says "yes it is, but I wanted to visit them."
Harry sees Luna's bare feet and asks "isn't it cold?"
Luna smiles and says "yes. My shoes have mysteriously disappeared. I suspect Nargles are behind it."
Luna walks to one of the horses and starts to pet it.
Harry follows and asks "what are they?"
Luna says "they are called Threstals. They are quite gentle really but people avoid them because they are a bit…."
Luna looks at a young Threstal and Harry follows her look. He finishes her sentence "different."
Luna nods and starts walking to the young Threstal. Harry walks beside her and asks "but why can't the others see them?"
They continue to the young Threstal. Luna says "they can only be seen by people who have seen death."
Harry asks gently "so you have known someone who has died?"
Luna says "my mum, she was quite an extraordinary witch. She liked to experiment and one day one of her spells went badly wrong. I was nine."
Harry says "I am sorry. I didn't want to make you remember I must be painful."
Luna says "you don't have to be sorry. Yes, it was horrible. I do feel very sad about it sometimes, but I still have my daddy."
They stand a couple of feet from the young Threstal. Luna opens her bag and grabs an apple. She rolls it over the ground to the young Threstal. The young Threstal smells before it shakes its head.
Luna grabs meat and throws it and the Threstal almost attacks the meat Luna throws before eating it up. The older Threstal walks the younger one. The older Threstal bows down and at the apple.
Luna says "younger ones like meat more. Older Threstals eat both."
Harry asks "how did you get the fruit and meat?"
Luna says "I brought some from home."
Harry says "alright. I think we can better go back breakfast should be served shortly. Can I help with looking for your shoes?"
Luna says "I would like to have at least one pair of shoes for the chance I need to go to Herbology or care for magical creatures."
Harry says "don't worry I will make sure that you have one pair very soon."
Luna says "really thank you, Harry. Oh, I must say what a beautiful owl and snake you have."
Harry looks but sees that Medusa is hiding. Harry asks "what do you mean I only have an owl, that is Hedwig."
Luna says "oh, but you got a snake on your left arm under the shirt right? Should I have not mentioned the snake? Sorry."
Harry says "it is not that. I am not allowed to have a snake."
Luna says "oh I thought that in the Hogwarts charter stand you can have a second animal if you can talk an animal language like you can do Parseltongue if the animal is not allowed as long the animal listens and will not be a danger to the other students."
Harry asks "really? Also, Hedwig is more a companion than an animal. The snake I don't know what the snake is."
Medusa shows her head and Luna immediately pets her under her head which Medusa seems to like.
She asks "what is her name?"
Harry asks confused "her?"
Luna says "it is a girl isn't she?"
Harry nods and says "she is. I call her Medusa."
Luna says "she seems nice and likes to be around you. I can understand that."
Luna says "let's get breakfast, but first change in my school uniform."
Luna walks close to Harry and without warning kisses him on his cheek before skipping away leaving behind a stunned Harry.
Harry asks "what just happened?"
Hedwig hoots something and Harry says "I know what happened Hedwig."
Hedwig hoots back and Harry says "I asked because I couldn't believe it. Why would she? I mean Ginny and Hermione did it before but not last night."
Harry starts to walk back to the castle. He needs to shower and change. He should also go to Professor McGonagall to ask about Medusa. Hedwig slowly flies above Harry while he walks back.
Before he reaches the treeline he remembers he promised Luna to help. He looks around and when he sees nobody he calls for Dobby.
Dobby pops in and asks what he can do for Harry. Harry says "Dobby I hope you are doing well. I have a favour to ask."
Dobby says "Master Harry is so good to Dobby. Dobby will do anything for Master Harry."
Harry says "thank you Dobby. Luna Lovegood, a friend has lost two pairs of shoes. I don't know if they really have disappeared or someone took them but can you find them and return them to Luna?"
Dobby nods and says "Dobby can. Should Dobby take Master Harry close to the Gryffindor tower entrance?"
Harry says "well I wouldn't mind if it isn't too much of a problem."
Harry looks up and says "Hedwig I see you another time."
Hedwig hoots and returns to the Owlery when Harry give Dobby his hand. Before popping out Harry says "on second thought Dobby can you take me close to Professor McGonagall's office on the fifth floor?"
Dobby nods as they pop out.
2nd September 1994, 5th floor, Hogwarts
Dobby says "Dobby and Master Harry are on the 5th floor Master Harry. Professor Kitty's office is a few doors down."
Harry suppresses a smile and says "thank you Dobby. Can you look for Luna's shoes?"
Dobby says "Dobby will Master Harry."
Harry says "thank you Dobby. Just make sure Luna gets them. If you found both please let me know also where you found them. If you can't find both please find at least one pair also let me that know."
Dobby bows and says "Dobby will do whatever Master Harry asks."
Dobby pops out and Harry thinks 'I hope Dobby will find them but don't tire himself out.'
Harry walks out of the classroom Dobby pops him in and sees that Dobby is right Professor McGonagall's office is four doors down. He walks to it and knocks on the door. He wonders if she is still in her office as breakfast has probably already started.
The door opens and Professor McGonagall looks surprised. She asks "Mr. Potter what can I do for you. I was about to head downstairs for breakfast."
Harry asks "I wonder if I can talk to you for a little bit."
Professor McGonagall says "sure Mr. Potter come on in."
2nd September 1994, Professor McGonagall's office, 5th floor, Hogwarts
Professor McGonagall let him pass before closing the door. Harry took a seat by her desk as does Professor McGonagall. Professor McGonagall has a large office. Behind Professor McGonagall is a door that probably leads to the bedroom. This is Professor's McGonagall office. The transfiguration classroom has its own office.
Harry thinks that Professor McGonagall uses it for class business. As Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom has an office at the back that the professor probably uses as an office and bedroom. He hasn't seen a bed but he is sure Moony slept there and probably Lockhart too. Quirrell was probably too busy drinking unicorn blood at night.
Harry sisses something and Medusa slither onto the desk. Professor McGonagall wants to draw her wand to remove the snake. Harry sees this and says "please don't Professor McGonagall."
Professor McGonagall grabs her wand but doesn't remove the snake. She asks "what is the meaning of this Mr. Potter?'
Harry says "I heard that in the Hogwarts charter I should be able to keep a second animal if I can talk to an animal if the animal is not allowed as one of the animals. Snakes are not allowed but as you can see I can talk Parseltongue. I am here to ask if I can keep her?"
Professor McGonagall says "as I remember is it in the Hogwarts charter but a snake can be a dangerous animal if you can't control …. her. I don't know my muggle snakes well but it looks like she is venomous. Can you tell me what kind of snake she is?"
Harry looks at Medusa. He hasn't even thought about it before. He looks at her and he knows what kind of snake she is. He shakes his head and says "I could have known. Professor McGonagall her name is Medusa and she is a King Cobra."
Professor McGonagall looks shocked. She doesn't know many muggle snakes but she knows the King Cobra. They are very venomous. The King Cobra is certainly one of the most dangerous muggle snakes.
Professor McGonagall says "Mr. Potter I cannot let you keep the snake it is very dangerous."
Harry says "but Professor McGonagall she isn't dangerous. She will not attack anyone especially if I ask her."
Professor McGonagall believes Harry. She says "but Mr. Potter, if you keep the snake as Gryffindor most of our house, will not trust you and also it will strengthen the idea that you are the Heir of Slytherin. I can understand you trust the snake but maybe she can better be kept by Hagrid for the time being."
Harry looks at Medusa and asks §Medusa Professor McGonagall doesn't think it is a good idea for the time being. The Groundkeeper Hagrid you know my friend maybe he can take care of you for the time being. I really want you to stay but with Hagrid, there is less chance that you need to defend yourself and attack someone. I will still try to visit you every day if you agree.§
Medusa looks at Harry and nods. She sis §if that is what you want master I will. I was hoping to stay with Master, but if Master agrees with this woman I will obey.§
Harry says §I don't agree with Professor McGonagall but she has some good points. I will try to find a way for you to be with me. Just know you can trust Hagrid and his dog Fang. Fang sounds dangerous but it is really a nice dog.§
Medusa sis §I trust Master.§
Harry smiles and says §I trust you too. When I follow the class with Hagrid I think he will allow you to be with me as long as you stay close during class, but inside Hogwarts not at the moment. I am very sorry.§
Professor McGonagall sees that Harry is disappointed. She knows she should do this but she can't help herself. She wants to make Harry, her god-grandson happy.
She sighs and says "Harry how about this. Medusa will stay with Hagrid and if nothing has happened until Halloween or Christmas and Hagrid thinks Medusa will listen to you and isn't an immediate danger to anyone I will talk about it with Professor Dumbledore and Madam Pomfrey for the change she will bite someone as I can understand if she does a certain someone from Slytherin even if you don't ask her too. Harry face lighten up a little. He sis Medusa what Professor McGonagall said and Medusa can understand and agrees. She promises she will do her best so she can stay with her Master after Halloween or Christmas.
Harry says "I will go to Hagrid immediately."
Professor McGonagall says "stop Mr. Potter. It seems you need to change and breakfast has already started. Let her here and after breakfast, we will go to Hagrid so I can explain everything and if Hagrid agrees you can leave her there. I think Hagrid really doesn't have a problem with her. You know he likes dangerous creatures. I think after a couple of months Hagrid prefer to not let her go."
Harry smiles and nods. Harry tells Medusa if that is alright. Medusa nods and asks if he can get some meat for her. Harry asks Professor McGonagall. Professor McGonagall calls for a house-elf and some raw meat. The elf returns within 2 minutes and places it on the desk.
Harry asks if this is alright for Medusa. Medusa uses her tongue before she agrees and starts to eat it. As Medusa is actually the basilisk she doesn't need to eat it like a real snake and can make it easier to eat by changing her teeth to that of the basilisk show she can make the meat smaller by biting. She draws a little magic on Harry, Harry doesn't even feel to change her mouth.
Professor McGonagall and Harry leave the office. Professor McGonagall went downstairs. She will talk to Hagrid if Hagrid is already downstairs and none of the other Professors, or at least those she doesn't trust will be able to hear them.
Harry went upstairs to shower and get dressed. As normal when he walked in Hermione and Ginny were already awake and talking. When he walks into his dorm Neville is already dressed and waiting it seems. Ron is still asleep and hears Seamus and Dean in the bathroom. It is a large bathroom with multiple stalls and a couple of showers so Harry doesn't have to wait.
He greets Neville and starts to grab one of his school uniforms before heading to the bathroom.
Let's end here for now. In the next chapter, Hagrid will meet Medusa, the school schedule and we see Moody's first lesson. We also see Regent Potter and Lord Black meet Lord and Lady Greengrass. And more if the words allow it.
