It is my first Harry Potter story. Will be Harry/Multi (Harem) and probably Neville/Multi. It will start at the beginning of the third year. Slow build-up. A smarter Harry and more friends. Earlier real friends with Neville and Ginny. Can be long between updates. Bashing RW/AD/?. We have reached the fourth year how will the earlier changes change the tournament and relationships?

52. Professor Moody

Chapter 52 Harry's snake, Professor Moody and Dumbledore's plan

2nd September 1994, Great Hall, Hogwarts

Professor McGonagall sits at the table when Hagrid walks in. She like normal takes a seat beside Professor Flitwick who sits next to her. She trusts Filius completely and sees the other professors talking clearly with each other of focussing on class beside Dumbledore and Snape. They were whispering like they have a big discussion. She can't hear what they say but sees that Snape doesn't look happy, but he never looks so she isn't sure if it is of whatever they talk about. She wants to know but she knows Dumbledore will never tell her as she doesn't need to know. He said that every time she asks unless it was clear it was about school mostly by Snape saying something regarding one of her cubs which always was bad and since Harry started he always badmouthed Harry and disrespected James.

More than once she wanted to curse Snape but she managed to not do it, especially since Harry is going to Hogwarts her patience is wearing thin disrespecting James in front of Harry. She knows she must thank Hermione to keep Harry from exploding and cursing Snape. With the power shown in his youth, Snape could get seriously hurt if not worse. She does wonder why Harry has trouble with casting as he did wonderful things when he was young even if he didn't know how he did it then.

She decides to think about it another time hopefully when she knows more and Harry trusts her more. She looks at Hagrid and Flitwick discussing a certain animal. Apparently, Hagrid has an animal back and Flitwick questions Hagrid to see it when they have time especially before the other schools arrive on the 30th of October. Also that it will be a great experience as it is very rare to have that creature in western Europe.

Professor McGonagall says "Hagrid, I have a favour to ask of you."

Hagrid immediately says "o' course Professor McGonagall. What can I do fer yeh?"

Professor McGonagall says "it is Minerva, Hagrid. Anyway, I have a muggle animal that I would like you to take care of. The animal is from someone else but at this time it is not wise for the student to keep it."

Professor Flitwick asks "Minerva may I know what kind of muggle animal? Why can't the student keep it? Is it a dangerous animal? and who is the student?"

Professor McGonagall looks if someone hears or looks at them. She looks especially at Dumbledore but nobody seems to hear what she has said.

She says "of course Filius, but I prefer if you don't tell anyone."

Professor Flitwick nods as does Hagrid.

Professor McGonagall says "the muggle animal is a snake and while I don't know many I do know the species. It is a King Cobra and I remember the snake is very dangerous as it is very venomous."

Professor Flitwick and Hagrid look immediately at the Slytherin table. Professor McGonagall notices but cannot fault them.

Professor Flitwick says without taking his eyes off them "Minerva a snake is not allowed especially a very venomous one. You should give the student detention and as the student went to you, Severus cannot intervene like always does for his house."

Professor McGonagall says "yes I know on both accounts. However, there is a rule that allows the student to keep the snake."

Professor Flitwick asks "there is no such rule that can do that."

Professor McGonagall says "Filius there is. In Hogwarts charter, if someone could speak to an animal species, the students in question can keep one of the species. If the animal is dangerous and not classified as deadly, an XXXX classified by the ministry or XXX classified if the student knows how to take care of it proven to our care of magical creatures Professor."

"However muggle animals aren't classified and there for the student can keep it if he shows that he can control the animal especially dangerous one especially as this snake is venomous."

Hagrid wants to scream as he knows who it is. Professor McGonagall sees it and immediately puts her hand up. Hagrid manages to stop screaming out Harry's name. Hagrid whispers "it is Harry isn't it?"

Professor McGonagall nods. Professor Flitwick immediately drops his glare at the Slytherin table. He says "of course, he is a Parseltongue. Also, that explains why he did go to you, most of the Slytherins would keep it from everyone except maybe Severus but he will not do anything about it. I am almost sure of that."

Hagrid heavily nods and completely agrees. Professor McGonagall gives on short nod also agreeing.

Professor McGonagall says "at the time the snake is in my office as Harry asks her to. So it is a female snake. It looks to listen to Harry, but not only is it a dangerous snake it will also start especially in Gryffindor where he is the Heir of Slytherin after all and while he didn't say anything I saw it hurt when it happened two years ago."

"I will not want that to happen again and Harry with a snake while be known through Hogwarts within a couple of hours I guess. I hope to give Harry a quiet year and this will not make that happen. To ensure Harry that we will not kill or chase his snake away, I asked Harry if you want Hagrid, to keep the snake and if you are sure she is not dangerous and think she will listen to Harry at Halloween or Christmas I will try to find a way to make it happen. I guess Harry does want to visit her every day if he can and I think he wants to spend time with her during care of magical creatures if that is possible."

Hagrid says "I think there are some classes where it is possible, but if yeh don't wan' 'em ter be seen together Professor McGonagall I am not sure if it is possible."

Professor McGonagall asks "is it possible to get it after breakfast?"

Hagrid nods. Professor McGonagall smiles and continues eating.

All the third-year Gryffindors and Ginny walk in. Harry, Neville, Seamus and Dean manage to wake Ron but didn't get out of bed until Neville mentioned that breakfast should be ready.

They took a seat and started eating. Hermione is talking with Ginny about her electives and she would love to help her and her friends if needed she even offered Harry's help with Ancient Runes. When Harry wants to say anything he gets stopped by the almost pleading look from Ginny and the gentle smile from Hermione.

Harry cannot say deny and says "sure. I can take some time as there is no Quidditch House Cup this year."

Ginny sits on the other side of the table or she would have hugged him. She says "thank you very much, Harry."

Harry shrugs and says "no problem."

The rest of the breakfast was uneventful and trying to avoid looking at Ron.

After breakfast, the head of houses starts with the first years before going to the second year and so on. They make the schedule. First, everyone gets a new timetable.

Professor McGonagall says "as the older students see the timetable has been changed a little bit, especially after last year with Dementors at the border we don't have now. Also some minor adjustments in time management. It also means that most Professors are in their office before dinner and slightly after dinner if there are questions about the lessons."

Harry sees Hermione have a bright smile. Harry can barely suppress a laugh as he thinks some Professors would hate that they changed this. Harry vows to himself he will not let especially Hermione or Ginny go to Snape alone even if they have detention. The way Snape looked at him and that Sirius escaped last year there is no way Snape is going to make his life worse and when he had nothing to lose before now he has and when he thinks about who he can lose Hermione and Ginny are the first in his mind, especially in Hogwarts.

It takes almost 15 minutes before Professor McGonagall starts with the fourth years class schedule. Harry get first the schedule and start looking it over.

Professor McGonagall says to the fourth year "even though you have more free time I don't expect you all to play around. You have more free time as all your classes are getting harder and you need to have more time to research for your papers. Next year is getting even harder that is why you got more time to research this year to get more efficient next year."

Ron groans that he needs to do more research than he ever did in the first three years and he needs to or her will fail. Also, Harry hears him mutter "potion with Slytherin again."

Hermione asks "Professor McGonagall why don't we have all classes from Herbology and Transfiguration with only one other house?"

Professor McGonagall says "because Miss Granger those times when you share the class with only one house it will be a more practical class that needs the teacher's full attention. I know that for Herbology you will get into a greenhouse with the more dangerous plants greenhouse four if I am not wrong. In my classes we will do more dangerous practical spells that need to be concentrated to do it and can be life-threatening just like the plants can be if not done properly. As most Transfiguration can be cancelled if done soon after the casting I need to make sure I can do it, go to or call for Madam Pomfrey if needed."

Harry is happy to see that all the classes he has three times to have more free time to do research for the classes he needs to research like Study of Ancient Runes and Arithmancy even though he is a prodigy in it according to Professor Babbling. His last exam was a low/ average EE but Babbling felt even after just a year he held back especially after his first perfect exam even if Hermione Granger helped him the first time.

Only a prodigy would have been able to know everything the only exceptions are Hermione and Daphne although Harry did it even better than them, Professor McGonagall asked her to not say that to Harry as it would scare him away from the study of ancient runes. Professor Babbling said to Professor McGonagall he will find out when he takes the OWL's and he finishes somewhere at the top in the Study of Ancient Runes.

Professor McGonagall said that is right but hoped that around that time he will know that he should continue with it. She even said if he isn't sure Hermione Granger or the youngest Weasley she would have in her class this year will convince him one way or the other as they are close.

When Professor McGonagall is done with the fourth year timetable she sends them on their way, but she says "Mr. Potter please wait here for a moment."

Harry nods and when Hermione doesn't want to leave him he says "I will be fine Hermione. I will see you in class."

Hermione says "I will get your books too."

Harry smiles at her that she needs to take a deep breath before she can leave. The smile would make her weak in her knees when she gets drawn into Harry's eyes but she manages to look away just in time by reluctantly giving a nod.

Hermione goes to the Gryffindor Common Room to get her books and Harry's for all the classes today. Professor McGonagall starts giving the timetable to the fifth years that look even fuller than last year when he manages to look at Katie's schedule who sat next to him the moment the third years (and therefore Ginny) were sent on their way. He does see that the electives are given four times and some of the core classes too but not all. Harry is happy that it isn't in his year but knows he will have it next year.

It takes another 15 minutes before the sixth and seventh year has their timetables. Professor McGonagall says "follow me, Mr. Potter."

Harry nods. They walk back to Professor McGonagall's office. They walk in and see that Medusa still lies on the desk and clearly is done eating. She is clearly just waiting for Harry it seems. When she sees Harry she sis a welcome. She wants to rush to him and stay close but she does not as she wasn't sure her master would allow it as she will not stay with him until at least Halloween.

Harry asks §are you ready Medusa?§

Medusa nods and Professor McGonagall asks "is she ready?"

Harry nods. Professor McGonagall says "alright. Can you make her hide again so if we see others they will not see her even though I have a free period I still have things to do?"

Harry nods when Medusa slithers off the desk and up Harry's arm. When Professor McGonagall doesn't see Medusa anymore she gives a quick nod before walking out of her office immediately being followed by Harry.

2nd September 1994, Hogwarts grounds

Within 10 minutes they were already halfway to Hagrid. Professor McGonagall knows Hagrid has no class. Most of the days he doesn't have a class for the first period and sometimes the first two periods as he has a couple of creatures he needs to feed. On one day he has the first period and on one other day, he has the first two-period class. That is NEWT's class (sixth for one period and seventh year for two periods) to help feed the creatures that are part of the curriculum.

When they approach Hagrid's cabin they hear a woof and see Fang approaching them happily wagging his tail. Harry need to dodge or Fang would have jumped and pushed him to the ground. Fang whines a bit when Harry evades him, but barks happily when Professor McGonagall pets Fang. Harry slowly walks toward Fang and pets him when Professor McGonagall stops and walks towards Hagrid's cabin.

Professor McGonagall knocks on the open door. Hagrid isn't in his cabin. Professor McGonagall looks at the forest and sees Hagrid coming from the forest. Hagrid says "sorry Professor McGonagall an' harry, I was feeding the hippogriffs an' firecrabs when I heard Fang bark loudly."

Hagrid walks to his cabin.

When he is almost at his front door Professor McGonagall says "it is no problem Hagrid. Mr. Potter, please show Hagrid the snake Medusa."

Harry walks to Hagrid, He sis something and Medusa shows herself.

Harry stops petting Fang who whines when he stops.

Harry held out his arm and Medusa start to slither down his arm. Harry held out his arm and Medusa, now with her head near his hand instead of his shoulder, show herself to Hagrid.

Hagrid looks like a little child of Christmas morning. Hagrid wonders how such a small creature can be dangerous at all. He thinks as this is a small snake it is seriously misunderstood how can somebody thinks it is dangerous.

Hagrid holds out his hand and slowly lets Medusa use her tongue to smell him. He thinks it is the same as other animals. Medusa turns to Harry and sis §Master, he smells like danger.§

Harry sis back §well he does like dangerous creatures but I can assure you Hagrid is a gentle human and very kind too. I am sure he poses no danger and if he has a dangerous creature he will make sure it isn't a danger to the school. Can you trust me on that?§

Medusa nods and sis §I trust Master and beneath danger, he smells like a nice human a bit like Master but Master smells nicer.§

Harry laughs a bit and sis §can you move to his arm just to show you like him?§

Medusa nods and immediately slithers up Hagrid's arm. As Hagrid is large she can't easily go around his arm and after reaching his shoulder slithers down his leg to the ground.

Harry asks why. Medusa answer as she isn't very large and Hagrid's arm is too big for her. Harry gently pet her head.

Hagrid asks "is summat wrong, Harry?"

Harry says "no Hagrid. She tries to do the same thing to you as she does to me but your arm is too big. She wanted to cowl around your arm but as she isn't very large she can't. It will be very hard for her to stay around your arm so she decided to slither on the ground. I think she will stay close to you. She does like you Hagrid."

Hagrid smiles large and asks "she does?"

Harry nods. Hagrid's smile grew even larger and says "I like ter know more 'bout her. Medusa yeh said the name is?"

Harry nods again. Hagrid says "I wonder if she has any magical abilities? d'you know Harry?"

Harry says "I don't know Hagrid. I don't think so as she is a muggle snake."

Hagrid smiles and says "well, Harry many muggle looking creatures sometimes are still magical or have a magical ability. D'you remember wha' the muggle calls a Dodo if I remember correctly?"

Harry nods and says "they are extinct."

Hagrid smiles before he laughs. He says "they are not, Harry. The muggle dodo is actually a magical creature tha' can apparate an' still lives. Actually, this year in care o' magical creature yeh will learn more abou' the muggle dodo tha' we call Diricrawls. I will also tell yeh why the muggles think they are extinct an' also how we know they are still alive an' more like how important trust is. It is fer all animals but especially Diricrawls."

Harry wants to say something when Professor McGonagall says "Hagrid that is very interesting and I am sure you will explain it perfectly. Also, I am sure Harry will like the classes and especially that lesson. Have any luck with the Hippogriffs?"

Hagrid's happy mood immediately changes and says "no Professor McGonagall. They look a bit los'. The oldest male is not fit ter lead an' the youngest male is too young ter be able ter lead. Although mostly when alpha is gone one way o' another someone will step up but none o' 'em too an' they are the on'y males inside herd at the moment. Buckbeak was the on'y one who was fit to lead an' not on'y tha'. Hippogriffs have a strong bond inside a herd. They feel tha' Buckbeak is still alive. Also, all the females gather around Buckbeak's mate. I think she is pregnant an' the female protects her until Buckbeak comes back an' order 'em otherwise."

Professor McGonagall asks "does another male Hippogriff help?"

Hagrid says "oh bloody hell no. If tha' is the new hippogriff will attack Skyfeather, Buckbeak's mate especially if she is indeed pregnant wha' all sign shows especially with the females. They barely let me near this also means I cannot use the hippogriffs this year. I think I must be happy the third years don't need ter know it yet fer their OWL's yet an' all the fourth years an' higher did have it last year so they know fer their OWL's. I hope tha' Buckbeak is safe an' in time maybe Skyfeather takes charge so I can use 'em again fer teaching I mean o' course."

Professor McGonagall says "of course. Hagrid if you can keep me in the loop regarding the Hippogriffs and Medusa I would like that."

Hagrid nods and agrees. Professor McGonagall gives Hagrid a sharp look but gently asks to not tell Dumbledore about Medusa. Hagrid wants to deny it when Harry asks him to please not do that. Hagrid can refuse Professor McGonagall although barely, however, with Harry asking the same he can't refuse.

Hagrid says "okay, I will not but on'y if Medusa doesn't attack my, a student, staff or creatures in the forest."

Harry smiles and says while giving Hagrid a small hug "thank you Hagrid. I wouldn't ask you if it wasn't important."

Hagrid says "I know Harry. I hope tha' is alright Professor McGonagall."

Professor McGonagall nods and says "yes Hagrid that is alright. I wouldn't expect anything else. Now I am here anyway how is Transfiguration going?"

Hagrid says "it is hard work but I wan' ter thank yeh fer your help Professor McGonagall ter help me with the spells tha' I would have thought if I wasn't expelled an' my wand was broken. I also need ter thank Professor Flitwick fer charms an' defence against the dark arts. Also, Mr. Ollivander's wand works exceptionally as it should."

Professor McGonagall looks at Harry and says "Mr. Potter maybe it is better if you ask Medusa to stay always near Hagrid if you don't mind Hagrid?"

Hagrid says "I don't mind. I like ter know more. Can yeh also ask if I can examine her, Harry?"

Harry nods. He sis §Medusa?§

Medusa has watched the conversation although she can't understand them. Still, she does notice the name Hagrid which her master said the large human is called. Medusa hears her name on her tongue and immediately looks at her master.

She sis §Master?§

Harry sis §Medusa can you stay near Hagrid?§

Medusa nods and immediately slithers closer to Hagrid and to everyone's surprise she tries to coil around Hagrid's ankle which barely works and lies her head on Hagrid's shoe.

Professor McGonagall asks "Mr. Potter what did you ask?"

Harry says "just to stay near Hagrid."

Professor McGonagall says "can you ask her not to do that."

Hagrid smiles and says "I don't mind when we are outside but inside the cabin or when I visit a friend I would not like this."

Medusa sis §is this good Master?§

Harry gives small laugh and says when he sees Professor McGonagall and Hagrid confused. He says "medusa asks if what she did is alright. I will tell what you said Hagrid."

Harry sis §this is alright Medusa. Although I guess Hagrid sometimes just like if you just slither near him. Hagrid did ask when you are in his cabin where you, unfortunately, need to stay he prefers is you not be around his ankle and when he goes to visit a friend I think it is better to stay here as it is probably the spiders where eat a number from. Wait I will ask about that.§

Medusa nods. Harry asks "with a friend do you mean Aragog?"

Hagrid blushes say "well he is one of them."

Harry says "I can ask if Medusa does not be with you when you go see Aragog but I think she wants to be with any of your other friends. I guess maybe centaurs?"

Hagrid says "among other indeed. I guess tha' is alright. I know Aragog isn't very keen on snakes an' there was a snake tha' eaten some spiders, I don't know if all spiders are his children but quite many are. I didn't say it but his colony is gettin' quite large a bit too large I think, but professor Dumbledore allows 'em ter be in the forest as they haven't attacked students or staff. Oh yes, Harry, I am sorry Aragog let his children an' other spiders attack yeh an' Ron. He didn't apologize but was happy tha' yeh escaped ter help me. He says he will not let his children an' spiders attack the school but I should not send other students ter 'em as they will not fail again an' Aragog cannot stop the spiders even his children if other students come."

Harry looks like he saw a ghost as a muggle and is a bit sick. He says "yeah it wasn't a good decision but I am happy we did as in the end you were released. Although with all due respect Hagrid I cannot believe Professor Dumbledore let them stay in the Forbidden Forest! Aren't they a danger for the other creatures?"

Hagrid doesn't like that but he can understand Harry's questions and feelings. Hagrid says "they are not. While they are with many, spiders don't eat much like snakes don't eat much."

Hagrid is ashamed that he attacks Harry by adding that snakes at least to his knowledge also don't eat much. He thought that this snake has eaten spiders but the snake was too small for some of the spiders that were eaten. Also even if it was this snake Hagrid wouldn't mind. Hagrid was afraid the large the colony is the more problem it could bring especially if Aragog dies but he doesn't know how long Aragog will live. The lifespan of Acromantula is very different some only live a few years while others live decades like Aragog.

Hagrid says "sorry Harry, I didn't mean it like tha'."

Harry wasn't mad and says "no problem Hagrid."

Professor McGonagall was shocked about Acromantula living in the Forbidden Forest but this is dragging on. Professor McGonagall says "I understand the mixed feelings but it seems you aren't angry at each other. Mr. Potter please tell Medusa that and about Hagrid wanting to examine her …. Oh and of course to not attack anyone. If she agrees I will make sure a house-elf will bring food for Medusa."

Harry says "of course, I am not mad. I still see Hagrid as a good friend if he does."

Hagrid takes a deep breath to speak clearly and he says "o' course I do Harry."

Hagrid gave Harry a big hug that almost choke him. When Hagrid lets go when he notices he chokes Harry what he does even without Professor McGonagall saying Harry wonders why Hermione's and Ginny's hug feel tighter, better and certainly in Hermione's case stronger but it doesn't choke him when they do it.

Before Harry can dwell on it Professor McGonagall says "Mr. Potter is you can tell Medusa. We need to go as I don't want you to miss too much of Charms."

Harry says "of course Professor McGonagall."

Harry sis §sorry Medusa more things need to be said.§

Medusa sis §that is no problem Master what did Master's friend say.§

Harry smiles and sis §Hagrid said that you can go with him outside of the cabin unless he goes to visit the spiders. He has other friends so you can go with him. I do ask you not to attack any of them. If you do only if they want to hurt you or they hurt Hagrid. If you are not sure don't attack them to defend yourself until they really are hurting you, Hagrid or Fang. I know you want to defend yourself but I hope to have you with me soon and if you attack to defend yourself but if attack, while it doesn't need that, will bring problems for you but also Hagrid's friendship with the creature or centaurs as an example.§

§Also Professor McGonagall asks to not attack any creatures and she will be sure a house-elf will bring you food. I can ask Dobby to do it as he will trust you the most of the house-elves I guess.§

Medusa sis §I will not, Master. Can I still go to Master if it is a dangerous animal?§

Harry sis §only if the animal is a danger for Hagrid, yourself, the students, the staff or the school in general as what your old master asked of you. If Hagrid can control the animal or the animal listens to Hagrid even if it is a dangerous animal you don't have to warn me. I trust Hagrid. The spiders are not a treat at the moment as the leader listens to Hagrid.§

Medusa sis §I understand Master. About food, I won't mind if house-elf Dobby brings food but I like to hunt some food on my own.§

Harry asks §like what?§

Medusa sis back §like rats, mice or small creatures.§

Harry asks "Hagrid and Professor McGonagall Medusa likes to sometimes hunt for her own food. She eats rats, mice or other small creatures."

Hagrid says "I think sometimes hunting fer rats an' mice is no problem although there are more creatures who hunt fer 'em as we have quite a couple o' cats or kneazles here like Hermione's half-cat half-kneazle Crookshanks an' the owls also hunt fer rats an' mice among other small mammals."

Professor McGonagall says "that is true even when I am in my Animagus I don't smell rats or mice at least not in Hogwarts and only faint when I am outside."

Harry nods. Hagrid says "we don't really have small creatures at least not the size Medusa can eat without problems. So I guess it is no problem if she only does it sometimes and only on rats or mice. There are some other small mammals like ferrets I guess I can catch them and give some to her."

Harry says "I will tell Medusa that she can only sometimes and if she wants but can't find rats or mice the creatures she sees you catch and use for food for other creature she can also hunt but still sometimes. Is that alright?"

Professor McGonagall thinks while Hagrid nods.

Harry sis §Medusa you can sometimes hunt for rats and mice, but as we have many animals who hunt for them you can't do it much. However, Hagrid sometimes catches smaller mammals to feed on other creatures as he needs to take care of them. If you see him catch a certain animal for food you can sometimes hunt for that animal but just like with mice and rats you cannot do it much. Is it true you don't eat much?§

Medusa sis §I don't know if I eat much. I do know I don't eat as much as you Master. I only need very little every few days. If I have a large meal then I can easily have a few weeks before I might get a bit hungry again if not more depending on the warmth and how much I move as I move slower when it is colder. If the cabin is warm I will move faster in the cabin than outside especially if it is cold outside.§

Harry nods and says "she doesn't eat much so I think she won't hunt very much. She eats a bit every few days. When she has a large meal she will have enough for a few weeks before she gets hungry. Also, something about when it is cold outside she will move slower and need even less food."

Hagrid smiles and says "tha' is very interesting. Can I examine her?"

Harry sis §you can hunt sometimes. Hagrid wants to examine you to learn more about you. I am sure Hagrid will not hurt you when he examines you but he may lift you and put you down or move you around. Not forcefully but it can be a bit uncomfortable.§

Medusa sis §if Master wants it I will do it. If Master can ask large human Hagrid to not be too forceful I will gladly allow it. I don't mind being moved or lifted if it is gently.§

Harry asks §is it me or are we able to speak and understand each other better?§

Medusa sis §old Master said that speakers need to learn how to speak and listen for speakers to talk and understand snakes better. I think Master is learning, but the old master said if the speaker speaks too much like us human language becomes difficult, especially for weak-minded speakers. The old master said it will take years if not decades before it becomes a big problem. I know Master is strong but don't want master to not talk to females as he needs to have mates.§

Harry sis §I am not going to have the conversation about wives and children with you.§

Medusa sis §master mates are important.§

Harry sis back §I will not discuss this with you.§

Medusa sees that Harry is getting mad. She coils around his left leg before immediately slithering up and coils around his arm. Her head comes on his shoulder and she pushes her head against Harry's cheek.

Medusa sis §I am sorry Master.§

Harry sis back §it is alright but you can better return to Hagrid.§

Harry gives Medusa a scratch under her head before Medusa slithers to the ground and to Hagrid.

Harry sighs and suddenly remembers Hagrid asking if he could examine Medusa. Harry says "Hagrid Medusa says it is okay but if you touch her or things like that you need to be gentle. I think she can handle things but she requests you to be gentle."

Hagrid has a large smile and says "o' course I will be gentle. I have no intention ter heard yeh snake Harry. Medusa will be in good hands I promise."

Professor McGonagall says "alright. I will find a house-elf to make sure Medusa will have some food."

Harry says "I may have an idea."

Professor McGonagall asks "what do you mean Mr. Potter?"

Harry says "there is a house-elf who may want to help. He should be already in Hogwarts."

Professor McGonagall asks "who may he be?"

Harry simply says "Dobby."

Dobby pops in and when he sees Hagrid and Professor McGonagall he asks what he can do for the great wizard Harry Potter. Harry asks "Dobby can you every couple of days bring food for that snake?"

Harry points at Medusa in her new form. Dobby says "Dobby will do as the great wizard Harry Potter asks."

Harry says "thank you Dobby. For now, the snake whose name is Medusa will stay here at Hagrid for the coming time. When it changes I will let you know."

Dobby nods before he bows and pops out.

Harry nods and says "Hagrid I see you at the fourth period today."

Hagrid nods and says "yes, today we will be looking at Kneazles. I think Hermione would like tha'. Can yeh ask her ter bring Crookshanks? I wan' ter show the difference between a full Kneazles an' a part Kneazles."

"I trust yeh Harry but I don't think medusa should join yeh yet. An' wha' if yeh visit but Hermione or another friend is with yeh? should Medusa hide or summat?"

Harry thinks and says "you are right and if I go to you alone too much Hermione will surely notice."

Harry sis §Medusa, I have a class with Hagrid today but you cannot join yet. I will try to at least see you after class a bit as I got lunch after. Also when I come with friends here you must hide at least the first few times, alright?"

Medusa sis §I understand Master but why must I hide?"§

Harry sis back §I don't want you to but I think my friends don't understand why I have a snake even though I am a speaker. I will try to prepare my best friend for you so she will not freak out if you join me when I visit with her, only her.§

Medusa nods and says §I think I understand Master. Just like this Professor Master trust. I will listen to Master but hope I can be together even during class with Master soon."

Harry says "she will not Hagrid but she hopes she can soon. If you don't mind I will stay a little after class to spend time with Medusa as it will be lunch anyway."

Professor McGonagall says "Harry you need to eat well. I know some use lunch for other things also I am afraid if you are not at Lunch Miss Granger or Miss Weasley will worry. If that will not happen I suspect Miss Granger to be in the library studying. While I encourage everyone to study. I never expect myself to say this but Miss Granger may take it too far. Harry, I think you are one of the reasons she is not at the library during lunch. I also noticed last year you were the reason she ate lunch."

Harry says "I will Professor McGonagall. I am sure Hermione will just lunch maybe not completely but enough before she will go to the library. Also, I am sure they wouldn't worry that much, but if Hermione asks I will tell her that I will stay with Hagrid for a bit and see her in the next class. I can promise her the same when we have a free period wherever she wants although I think it will be at the library."

Professor McGonagall says "great everything seems to take care of. Come on Mr. Potter you need to go to class."

Harry nods and says "Hagrid as I said before I see you at the fourth period today."

Hagrid waves and continues working making sure he has fed all the creatures. For some animals, he only gives a little food as the fifth years need to feed a couple of xxx creatures for their OWL's both practical and theoretical lessons. Sixth years need to do know how to feed the other xxx creatures and some XXXX creatures as Hagrid has some and seventh years need to know how to feed most creatures with an XXXX classification.

Only those who have apprenticeships in care of magical creatures (despite Hagrid) get thought to feed all XXXX creatures and learn about the food XXXXX creatures need and if ever documented how to feed them but that is completely theoretical. XXXXX Creatures are mostly not fed like the dragon reserve in Romania. They have cattle and other animals they let go in the dragon reserve so the dragon can get their own food sometimes they have meat brought into the reserve so the dragons don't have to hunt. Also feeding XXXXX creatures is very dangerous as they are known, as wizard killers.

2nd September 1994, fifth floor, Hogwarts

Almost 15 minutes later Professor McGonagall and Harry are in on the fifth floor just leaving the giant staircase. Just like Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration classroom (and office) Professor Flitwick's classroom and the offices are on the fifth floor but on the other side of the castle. Professor McGonagall has her classroom and office on the fifth floor of the so-called Gryffindor Tower, Professor Flitwick has the same but from the so-called Ravenclaw Tower.

After a couple more minutes Professor McGonagall knocks on a door. Harry knows it is the Charms classroom.

Professor McGonagall opens after the knock. Professor Flitwick at the front asks "Professor McGonagall, to what do we owe this pleasure?"

Professor McGonagall can help but give a small smile as she really likes Professor Flitwick. Professor McGonagall says "I have Mr. Potter here for the class. I had some business that I have concluded."

Professor Flitwick says "ah you have our missing student. Miss Granger informed me you had business with Professor McGonagall. I hope everything went well."

Professor McGonagall nods before stepping aside to let Harry enter. Professor Flitwick smiles and says "Mr. Potter why don't you take a seat next to Miss Granger as it looks like she has saved you a seat after all."

When Harry nods and has taken a seat Professor McGonagall says "well now that Mr. Potter is where he should be I will take my leave."

Professor Flitwick says "of course Professor McGonagall."

Professor McGonagall hears in Professor Flitwick's voice he really wants to say something that he doesn't want his students to hear. She will think about asking another time when they are alone or with people they trust like Hagrid or Professor Sprout.

Harry wonders why on the other side is Neville and not Ron. He looks and immediately spots Ron as far away from the front (where he sat with Hermione and Neville) as possible with Seamus and Dean. Between Harry and Ron sit the girls from Gryffindor with all boys and girls from Hufflepuff. On the other side of the class, Slytherin and Ravenclaw sit as far away from each other as possible with the Ravenclaws close to their head of the house.

When Harry takes a seat immediately Susan changes seat to sit next to him. Hermione notice. Hermione is sure Susan is interested and needs to talk to Ginny in the coming days about this development although she knows Susan does. Now she thinks back to last year it is obvious. She does wonder if the same counts for Daphne what would be a problem as Ginny doesn't hate Slytherins with a passion like Ron but doesn't like them. This will also bring problems with Ron and what about Daphne's safety and her sister in Slytherin if Daphne really likes Harry. Should she and Ginny even allow Susan and/ or Daphne?

Before she can think about it more Professor Flitwick continues class.

2nd September 1994, Great Hall, Hogwarts

It is lunch. Harry, Hermione, Neville and Ron were enjoying their meal. It is a wonder Ron can even taste the food before he takes the next bite. Suddenly the twins take a seat across from Harry.

Fred asks "did you already have it?"

George continues "Defence Against the Dark Arts?"

Hermione says "no, we have him as the sixth period. Why?"

George says "he is."

Fred says "amazing and scary."

Together says with a large smile "at the same time."

Fred says "he is almost."

George continues "as good as."

Together they say "Professor Lupin."

Angelina sits down and says "they are right. He is one of the best Defence Against the Dark Arts professor we ever had. Although Professor Lupin was also great. I am not certain which one is better."

Alicia says "I think Professor Lupin is better I don't know why but Professor Moody seems a bit off."

Harry says "I am sure he is alright he is an Auror so he knows what he talks about. Maybe that is why he is different as he knows the dangers of dark magic."

Alicia says "I think you are right."

2nd September 1994, DADA classroom, Third Floor, Hogwarts

Harry seems that everybody is anxious although most of Slytherin and a few from other houses look afraid. Before Harry can think about why Master Auror Moody walks in with his stick and his magical eye-rolling around.

When he reaches the front he grabs a crayon and writes his name on the board.

Moody says "Alastor Moody."

Moody let it sink in before he says "ministry malcontent. And your new defence against the dark arts teacher. I'm here because Dumbledore asked me, end of story, goodbye, the end. Any questions?"

When nobody says anything Moody says "when it comes to the dark arts, I believe in a practical approach. But first, which of you can tell me how many unforgivable curses there are?"

Hermione immediately says "three, sir.

Moody turns around and writes unforgivable and at the same time asks "and they are so named?"

Hermione says "because they are unforgivable. Use of any one of them will..."

Moody finishes Hermione's sentence "will earn you a one-way ticket to Azkaban. Correct. Now the ministry says you're too young to see what these curses do. I say different! You need to know what you're up against, you need to be prepared, you need to find somewhere else to put your chewing gum other than the underside of your desk Mr Finnegan!"

Seamus says "aw no way, the old codger can see out the back of his head."

Moody throws the chalk in anger toward Seamus and says "I can hear across classrooms."

Like nothing happened Moody says "so, which curse shall we see first? WEASLEY!"

Ron almost squeals in fear with a quick "yes..."

Moody says "stand."

Ron almost shakenly stands up.

Moody says "give us a curse."

Ron is scared but manages to say "well, my dad did tell me about one... The imperious curse."

Moody says "oh yeah, your father would know all about that. Gave the ministry quite a bit of grief a few years ago. Perhaps this will show you why."

Moody walks to a table and pops open a jar with a spider in it.

Moody says "hello. What a little beauty."

He uses "Engorgio" before using "Imperio."

He uses his wand to send it around the class. First on the first bench with Neville and Dean. The Slytherins start to laugh.

Moody immediately sends the spider to the head of Crabbe, who sits on the second bench with Goyle.

Moody screams above the screams from the class "don't worry. Completely harmless."

Moody laughs moving the spider to his left and lands on the hand of one of the Patil twins who sit together.

Moody laughs again and moves it above Ron's head. He says "but if she bites... she's lethal!"

After that sentence, he drops the spider on Ron's head. Draco laughs the hardest.

Moody sees that and asks "what are you laughing at?

Moody sends the spider onto Draco's face right on his nose. Draco screams at Pansy who sits next to him and almost jumps many feet away to get away from Malfoy and the spider.

Moody looks crazy and says "talented, isn't she? What shall I have her do next?"

He moves his wand to the window and says "jump out the window?"

A large glass stops the spider. The spider falls down but Moody stops the spider and says "drown herself?"

Moody has the spider over a bucket of water, it's wriggling. The whole class see the spider trying to stop itself from falling. Moody moves the spider to him. He put the spider in his hand and says to the class who is stunned by Moody and completely silent "scores of witches and wizards have claimed that they only do you-know-whose bidding under the influence of the imperious curse. But here's the rub, how do we sort out the liars?"

He lets it sink in for a few seconds. He says "another.. another.. come on come on."

Many students raise their hands weirdly enough Hermione doesn't as she looks a bit shocked around the classroom clearly avoiding looking at Moody.

Even Neville slowly raises his hand.

Moody chooses Neville and asks "Longbottom, is it? Up."

Neville Longbottom stands.

Moody stands right in front of Neville as he sits front. Moody says "Professor Sprout tells me you have an aptitude for Herbology."

Neville gives a small nod and says "there's the um... The Cruciatus curse."

Moody sounds almost happy and says "correct! Correct! Come. Come."

Neville hesitantly follows Moody. Moody says "particularly nasty. The torture curse."

Moody looks at the spider and casts "Crucio."

Moody begins torturing the spider with magic, it squeals.

Harry sees that Neville is bothering if not hurting himself. Harry wants to stand up to stop Moody but before he can Hermione screams "stop it! Can't you see it's bothering him, stop it!"

It looks like Moody forget anyone else but him and Neville where they were. Moody seems very interested in using the Cruciatus curse and making the spider hurt. Hermione's scream shakes Moody from the spider.

Moody stops. Neville is disturbed. Moody picks up the spider which is still making a noise. He turns towards the class. He walks to Hermione and puts the spider on her desk. The spider is still hurt by the Cruciatus Curse.

Moody asks Hermione "perhaps you could give us the last unforgivable curse, Miss Granger?"

Hermione quickly looks up before looking at the front of the class while she shakes her head. Harry is almost shocked this is the first time Hermione doesn't answer a question directed at her. He casts a spell and the spider disintegrates.

Moody says "no? Avada Kedavra."

The spider falls dead and immediately turns to its back. Harry sees it happen, but he is more interested in Hermione. He feels she is very shocked and very sad. He wants to walk to her and make her happy. He wants to hug her as that seems to help her last year. Harry does notice the green light that the killing curse produces and he thinks that particular green colour comes familiar but Harry is too focused on Hermione he can't remember from where.

Harry focuses back on Moody when he feels Moody looking at him. Moody says after a couple of seconds "the killing curse. Only one person is known to have survived it. And he's sitting in this room."

He approaches Harry's desk and takes a drink while is trying to suppress something. The rest of the class was unsettling. Like nothing happened he starts teaching what was actually quite decent. In the end, he says "for the next class prepare yourself. Constant Vigilance."

After class, they walk down the stairs closest to the classroom. Ron says "brilliant, isn't he! Completely demented of course. Terrifying to be in the same room with, he's really been there you know."

Hermione says almost disgusted "there's a reason those curses are unforgivable, and to perform them in a classroom. I mean did you see Neville's face."

Harry wants to hug Hermione to soothe her but he is afraid of what Ron would say or do. They see somehow staring out of the window. Harry and Hermione immediately see that it is Neville. Ron doesn't and walks past him.

Ron says "we should quickly get to the kitchen to get a snack."

Without waiting for a response Ron almost runs down the stairs.

Hermione gently asks "Neville?"

Moody gently pushes Hermione and Harry to the side. Moody approaches Neville and pats him on the shoulder.

Moody asks "son. You alright?"

Neville shakenly nods.

Moody says "come on, we'll have a cup of tea. I want to show you something. I know you have History of Magic but don't worry I will excuse you from it."

Neville silently and reluctantly follows Moody. Harry wonders why Moody called Neville son when the last time he met Moody he called him lad. Harry thinks maybe because Moody feels sorry for disturbing Neville, what Moody didn't do when he was there to protect him ….. well actually Susan, Hannah and Hannah's mother but he and Hermione just tagged along and that is why they were protected.

2nd September 1994, Dumbledore Office, Hogwarts

It is just after dinner when Dumbledore waits in his office. He asked Professor McGonagall to bring Mr. Ronald Weasley to him. It takes a couple of minutes before Professor McGonagall arrives with Ron.

Dumbledore says "thank you Professor McGonagall you can go."

Professor McGonagall felt something isn't right and with this clear sign she isn't wanted she wants to refuse. She wants to stay but she leaves reluctantly.

While she leaves as she has Occlumency shields she thinks without Dumbledore knowing 'I will trust my cubs and try to contact Sirius. I need to be there for Harry even if Albus doesn't think it is a good idea. I need to get Sirius to do so. Maybe Remus can help me to find Sirius. But how do I come into contact?'

When Dumbledore feel Professor McGonagall leave the door and walks down the stairs the statue is confirmed with a small connected statue on Dumbledore's desk. Dumbledore gently looks at Ron trying to ease Ron's nervousness and hoping that his gentle smile makes Ron, do what he needs Ron to do. He would have preferred the mudblood Granger, however, the Weasley follows him blindly like Molly Weasley.

Dumbledore thinks 'keeping him from making friends work against me now, especially with his guarded behaviour. Granger's loyalty is a problem, Ginevra needs to trust him and I can try Lovegood but her mind gives Dumbledore and Snape a giant headache. Dumbledore wonders about Katie Bell and while she sees her as a 'good' friend her being a year older makes a whole Harry will probably don't tell her anything he doesn't know.'

Dumbledore is shaking out of his thought when Ron asks "you wanted to speak to me, Professor Dumbledore?"

Dumbledore says "yes Mr. Weasley. Do you have read the letter that I left for you at the Burrow?"

Ron nods and says "yes, Professor Dumbledore but you just said that you wanted to talk to me."

Dumbledore says "indeed young Ronald, I need your help with a task of great importance. I need you to try and keep a closer eye on your best mate Harry I fear there will be trouble coming soon and need some help with keeping him safe. I can understand Harry has is having a hard time with Sirius Black that is probably still after him for good or bad. I wish I would know why but I am not sure if Sirius Black is safe for Harry or not. I have no idea if he has contact with Sirius Black or does not include knowing his location, but if he does it may be a good idea if I can talk with Sirius to make sure Sirius Black is safe for Harry."

"If you're willing as it is of great importance for the greater good to help me with it. I will be willing to reward you with many different things from sweets to a fair bit of gold and as this can, unfortunately, hurt your studies I will make sure the grades the teachers give will be changed favourably as you have an important task if you agree."

"With the greater the information you bring me the better the rewards I've already spoken to your mother and she has agreed with my proposal and remember it's all in the name of the greater good that Harry is kept safe."

"Are you willing to help me with that young Ronald?"

Ron only thinks 'easy grades, sweets and Galleons. All I need to do is tell Dumbledore everything Harry tells me. Mom also agreed with Dumbledore. Mom always told me to listen to the Professor but especially to Professor Dumbledore. I can finally get what I should have had to start with. I deserve to have it. I don't have to earn it I should have it to start with.'

Ron nods and Dumbledore smiles. He uses his Legilimency and sees that his words affect Ron. What surprises Dumbledore the most is that Ron has no hesitation to betray Harry's trust and will not feel guilty even thinking about it.

Dumbledore asks "I want to ask you to tell me everything that I need to know to pertain to Harry. And when I say everything I mean everything how small it may look. Do you understand?"

Ron says "I understand, Professor Dumbledore."

Dumbledore gives a gently smile and says "that is great, young Ronald. I will make it worth your while as I promised. Harry needs to be guided and he doesn't tell me anything. I am sure he will tell you as his best friend. It is for the greater good if Harry sees your family as his family."

Ron says "but it is my family, not his. He gets everything. Play Quidditch first year, be a younger player in a century, play seeker, have a nimbus 2000 and have a lot of money, And what do I have? I just got a family. "

Dumbledore sees his jealousy rising and that will help him convince Ron. However, Dumbledore does know that Ron's jealousy using for his benefit works but it can also push Harry away.

Dumbledore says "perhaps young Ronald. If you make sure that Harry stays your friend I will try to get you your Firebolt by next school year. Although you must not get mad at him for wanting a family. Love is important to give to family."

Ron is almost salivating about having his own Firebolt. Ron says "he can have my family if he wants. Well except my mother."

Ron thinks 'I can't live without her food.'

What Ron means is he can't take care of himself and needs his mother to take care of him when he tends to his Firebolt.

Dumbledore says "I think once every two weeks should be good enough to meet. If friends ask just say that you will have one on one classes to get better grades as that will explain the better grades you get."

Ron immediately says "I don't have to do more right?"

Dumbledore says "no, no young Ronald that isn't necessary. If something comes up you can come to me personally after one of the meals. I will be no more than 5 minutes outside this office. In that time you can come to me if there is something I need to know soon."

"If there is something I need to know immediately you can go to Professor McGonagall and that you need to talk to me immediately. To have a good reason just tell Professor McGonagall you need to talk to me regarding your education and that it is of great importance to talk to me."

Ron nods and says "of course Professor Dumbledore."

Dumbledore says "here are some sweets from Honeydukes and let's say that 10 Galleons for your first time is enough. I will see you then on the 16th of September after dinner like now."

Ron just nods as he sees a bag of 10 Galleons and sweets that will not last the night.

Ron wants to grab it but Dumbledore does and says "before you go is there anything I need to know."

Ron shakes his head. Dumbledore says "come on now young Ronald. If you want what I offer you need to give me something?"

Ron thinks hard more than he ever did. The only time he used this hard was when he learned how to play chess.

Ron says after a few minutes "I don't know if it matters, but Harry fought against Death Eaters at the world cup and against Aurors when they attacked us. He only got a slash Ginny noticed. He said that he has saw someone cast the dark mark but because of the night and smoke, he couldn't see who it was. Also, he did hear the incantation but he got a bit hurt and his scar seeing the Dark Mark."

Dumbledore says "that is more like it young Ronald."

Dumbledore put the sweets and Galleons back for Ron to grab. Ron grabs it and says "can I go now, Professor Dumbledore?"

Dumbledore nods and says "of course young Ronald. I don't want to waste your time."

Ron almost runs out of the office. When he is sure Ron has left and no one is waiting Dumbledore says to himself "let's hope Ronald will do his job. I want to ask the mudblood Granger to do the same as she will surely know a lot. However, her loyalty to Harry can be a reason even mind magic might not work. I can use authority but again her loyalty to Harry can surpass that."

"Maybe a memory charm but if that falls I will lose Harry's trust completely. He needs to trust me the most. He needs to fulfil the way of the greater good. It is a shame a powerful wizard needs to die but it must be done. Black is a danger. I need to get rid of him even if I need to help the greater good a bit."

"Granger is a danger. Maybe if Ronald starts to notice girls I will push him toward Hermione. Harry is not noticing girls yet although Granger and Ginevra are very friendly but just like Ronald he doesn't notice them being girls."

"When Ronald takes Granger then I can push Harry to Ginevra. I think to plan suggestion in his mind to see Ginevra as a love interest while she is part of the family he likes will increase the love of his own. If that doesn't work potions will make it happen. I am sure Molly will use it to have the big happy family she wants. I am sure she will see my way in time. Hopefully, before Harry needs to fulfil his destiny so he can get Ginevra pregnant with hopefully his boy."

"I still haven't found a family with a daughter around his age that follows me and have a history of having strong female children to get Potter from Harry. If I find my own I just need to have Harry agrees to have a mistress and if needed spell Ginevra to allow it or help Harry cover it up from Ginevra."

"Maybe I need to get a potion to ensure Ginevra gets pregnant after once with a boy. Unfortunately, it will make her barren but everyone must make a scarifies and with the surplus of witches there are enough others to ensure purebloods will increase although I may need to have the minister after Harry's scarifies and me killing Tom issue a law all witches need at least three or maybe four children while making it sure that mudbloods don't need to but purebloods need to do it. I am sure there is a way to exclude mudbloods and half-bloods who live more muggle than magical."

"Having a boy for the poor boy, Harry who died fighting Voldemort and have him entrust to me. Together we can make the wizarding world prosper and stop dark lords from rising while making sure weak-willed ministers don't destroy the country and make sure the pureblood stay in power."

Fawkes thrills sadly before firing out. He can't stay away long but when Dumbledore is like this he wants to stay away as long as possible. Dumbledore made sure the paintings that don't share his few heard nothing will others like Phineas Nigellus Black do hear most. As he doesn't like Sirius he didn't care to hear Dumbledore about killing Sirius. He would rather have Malfoy have it than a Gryffindor son with other views about blood purity and superiority.

3rd September 1994, outside Hogwarts

It is early and Harry is running outside like he normally does. After he is done as it is Saturday with Hedwig who joined him he goes to Hagrid's cabin to visit Medusa and Hagrid of course. As Ron still sleeps, Hermione is probably at the library with Ginny and Luna unless they are together with other third years he can better do it now.

Harry thinks 'maybe I need to trust Ginny too as she is close with Hermione and a very good friend. And what about Katie? Luna already knows. Ron isn't a good idea, but what about Neville? What about the twins?'

Harry is shocked he finally has real friends who he wants to trust and these friends Dudley can't chase away or scare away at least not here at school. He hopes if they ever meet Dudley what he doesn't plan to happen they will still be his friends even if Dudley threatens them.

3rd September 1994, Hogwarts

Daphne is in the library and is getting very irritated. Draco Malfoy is pushing her again and even worse than her parents expected Malfoy is treating her parents and Astoria. Daphne isn't worried as she trusts her parents and here at Hogwarts she can mostly protect Astoria, especially during her free periods. The only reason for lashing out is to protect Astoria and Tracey although if possible she wants to help Lilian if that Harry doesn't know it yet. She knows all will be worth it when Harry knows and see Malfoy lose not only as Harry will be my husband but it will be even better as somehow at the same time know that he is not Heir Black.

In the Hufflepuff Common Room, Susan is thinking. She wants to talk with Harry, especially about the marriage contract, but she needs her Aunt's permission. Also, Harry's guardian must be present and according to her Aunt is it, Professor Dumbledore. Susan wonders why her Aunt didn't ask Professor Dumbledore to talk about it. Susan wants to but her Aunt advised her to wait at this time. Her Aunt did manage Hermione and Ginny to make sure to be good friends with her.

Her Aunt did not answer her question when she asked her, she just thinks besides Hannah and the other Hufflepuff getting friends from other houses is a good idea although she must not forget her current friends. Susan doesn't know why her Aunt singled Hermione and Ginny out. She is already good friends with Hermione and she thinks Ginny can also become a good friend but that still didn't answer her question.

Susan hoped she could think in her dorm but a rule in Hufflepuff is to not be in your dorm during the day unless you are sick, was deadly tired or needed to grab some books. She could lie but that is not what Hufflepuffs are. Not being in your dorm during the day help becoming friends with people outside of your year inside your house.

Hufflepuff is after all the most inclusive among the four houses. Hufflepuffs values hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play. Hufflepuff is known to have a strong moral code and a sense of right and wrong. Therefore Susan will not lie about being sick or deadly tired.

Hannah, Megan and Sally-Ann see that Susan is lost in her thoughts. They can shake her out of it but that will draw attention they don't want especially as they see some of the boys of their year and higher watching mostly Susan with lust and some looks are frightening. Hannah, Megan and Sally-Ann know why. Susan has the biggest breast in the fourth year, the fifth year, most of the sixth year and a small part of the seventh year. Susan rivals most of the (younger) teachers. Hannah, Megan and Sally-Ann know about Susan and Harry's marriage contract as Susan told them as they are best friends.

Suddenly Susan stands up and walks towards the entrance of the Common Room. Hannah, Megan and Sally-Ann follow Susan. When they leave the common room Susan starts to walk toward the library. She knows to find Hermione when there is no Quidditch practice she would be in the library. As there is no Quidditch cup there will be no Quidditch practice or at least there shouldn't be but if the Quidditch captain wants to practice nonetheless there will surely be time. She doesn't know Quidditch teams can practice if they want, but honestly, she doesn't care as they will be no matches. She will only care if Harry plays.

Let's end here for now. In the next chapter, we see Susan talk with Hermione, Ginny and Luna or not. We will also see Sirius and Remus get the letter from Lord and Lady Greengrass. Remus and Sirius will find out why Harry needs dress robes and more.
