Chapter 54 Hermione 'helps', Amelia agrees, the girls' idea, Hermione presents

10th September 1994, Gryffindor Common Room, Hogwarts

When they walk in they see Hermione sitting at the table. They see three knitting needles knitting something while she also does that. The knitting needles work faster than Hermione, but almost everybody is surprised she can knit. They would never have expected that.

Pureblood witches especially without house-elves like the Weasley's or half-blood witches that are raised magical get to learn that skill as they don't have house-elves to do it for them when they marry unless they manage to attract a pureblood. If the house only has one or two house-elves that need to take care of other things pureblood witches can also be taught the skill.

The mothers of the witches believe that when you have certain skills like knitting among others will help in attracting a husband. That is one of the reasons Mrs. Weasley taught Ginny cooking, and knitting and made Ginny always help her with washing clothes.

Everybody standstill and stared at her. Ron pushes Harry forward and as Harry stumbles Hermione notices him. She says "hey Harry. Is dinner over?"

Harry nods. He says "yes dinner just finished."

He looks back at all the Gryffindors. It seems they try to get Harry to ask what is going on here.

Harry sighs and says "Hermione what are you doing?"

Hermione says "I am knitting clothes. You said that when Dobby got clothes he got free so I thought if I make clothes and leave them here for the elves as they may keep them when they find I kind of give them to them so they will be free. I need to ask Fred and George about the kitchen so I can give the clothes to those elves as they are probably only allowed to work in the kitchen."

Harry says "I didn't know you can knit."

Hermione says "my mother taught me. I am not very good or very fast but I can make small things."

Harry asks "and about the other knitting needles?"

Hermione says "last year Mrs. Weasley got me a book. The book is called Practical Household Magic. The title says what the book contains and there are some useful spells like I used on the knitting needles. Mrs. Weasley probably gave me the books at it is for witches but if you read between the lines it is clearly for housewives what all witches should be. The spells and charm are good but what the writer wrote is so outdated even for magical standards."

Hermione takes a few deep breaths to calm her down and continue knitting. The rest of Gryffindor slowly enter the Common Room as silently as possible and without disturbing Hermione. They were happy Ron pushed Harry forward and he is the only one Hermione would certainly never attack and is also the only one that can disturb her without her being mad or angry. Hermione may shout at Harry but probably curse everyone else that disturbs her.

11th September 1994, the Great Hall, Hogwarts

It is morning and the Great hall is barely half full. It is a Sunday and many students are still asleep. Harry and Neville or the only ones of a few handfuls of Gryffindor that are already up. Harry and Neville wanted to wait on Hermione in the Gryffindor Common Room but Fay went down to tell them that Hermione asked her to let them know that they should go on ahead without her. Fay is sitting across them and talking about some of the classes and their thoughts about the tri-wizard tournament.

Neville and Harry both say they are interested in the other schools and it would be wonderful to watch the tournament. Fay asks if they find it a shame they couldn't compete. Neville quickly shakes his head.

Harry says "I will never want to compete. It is clear why it is for of age wizards and witches. It will be very dangerous. Even if I could compete I wouldn't do it. It will be wonderful to watch and not to compete, to be honest. I also think that is the reason for the dress robes."

Harry has noticed that Neville still has the same wand as last year and that is his father's wand. Harry thinks he needs to tell Professor McGonagall but first wants to talk to Neville about it but didn't have the time yet. He needs time and he barely has any time at all with visiting Medusa, doing a lot of research, Angelina and Alicia considering doing some Quidditch practise anyway although they are talking a lot with the twins, Katie and him about it, thinking about Moody's rare and somewhat disturbing classes and also have nightmares about Voldemort that become occurring more and more, every time it is the same and every time it becomes clearer. He hasn't told Hermione, Ginny and Sirius as somehow he thinks they will worry over him something he doesn't want them to and thinks he doesn't deserve Hermione and Ginny's worry and if afraid Sirius will return to England what is a bad idea.

Harry feels something and looks to the Great Hall entrance and keeps watching. Fay and Neville see Harry looking and also look at the entrance of the Great Hall. For a little over a minute, they wonder why Harry watches the entrance when Hermione walks in almost immediately followed by Ginny and Luna.

Hermione rushes to Harry and says "I have it to help the house-elves."

Before Harry can say anything Hermione continues "You know, house-elves get a very raw deal! It's slavery, that's what it is! That Mr Crouch made her go up to the top of the stadium, and she was terrified, and he's got her bewitched so she can't even run when they start trampling tents! Why doesn't anyone do something about it?"

"First I wanted to call it: Stop the Outrageous Abuse of Our Fellow Magical Creatures and Campaign for a Change in Their Legal Status — but it wouldn't fit. So that's the heading of our manifesto"

"I finally decided to call it the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare or S.P.E.W for short."

Harry asks "spew?"

Hermione glares and says "no it is S.P.E.W."

Harry says "sorry. Alright S.P.E.W."

Hermione smile which makes Harry happy. Ginny finally joined and Harry looks over his shoulder to see Luna sit and gives her a smile that Luna mirrors. His attention gets drawn to Hermione when she grabs his arm.

Hermione rhetorically asks Fay, Neville, Ginny and Harry "do you know what I have heard from Nearly Headless Nick on my way to here?"

When nobody responds she says "Nearly Headless Nick said that there had nearly been no feast at all. Peeves was upset about not being invited to the feast and had wreaked destruction in the kitchens and had badly upset the House-elves."

Harry asks "really? It is also that it isn't slave labour as they still did it after. If they were slaves they would have no reason to continue no matter what. This sounds like they have a choice and only worked after because they like it and like to make a good feast."

Harry knows that Hermione will not like it or think like that. He tries to make Hermione realise house-elves like to work and can get treated good especially as he has a house-elf he sees as a friend and isn't allowed to punish himself.

Hermione starts getting food on her plate and starts wolfing down her food. Harry looks surprised.

Hermione clears her mouth before she says "it is a better way to fight than simply abstaining from eating."

Immediately after she is done what cannot be more than 5 minutes after she started eating she leaves and Harry knows that Hermione is going to the library. He didn't ask as he didn't need to. He has seen her in this state before like with the attacks in their second year and when they tried to find out what Fluffy was guarding.

12th September 1994, Level 2, Ministry of Magic

Tonks is on duty. As Amelia has an office in the back of the DMLE she doesn't need a protection detail although because of the danger of Death Eaters she has two personally chosen (senior) Aurors in her office. Two Aurors are not called a protection detail so technically speaking she has no protection detail in her office when she works.

It is almost noon when one of the Auror tells her Director Bones wants to see her. When she reaches the office she can immediately walk in.

12th September 1994, Director DMLE office, Level 2, Ministry of Magic

As she walks in Amelia says "Auror Proudfoot you can go."

Auror Proudfoot says "of course, Director Bones."

Amelia nods and Auror Proudfootleaves. Amelia says "Junior Auror Tonks please take a seat."

Tonks does. The Auror left is Kingsley Shacklebolt.

Amelia asks "did you manage to give your mother my letter?"

Tonks nods and says "yes, Director Bones."

Tonks looks at Kingsley. Amelia says "don't worry about Kingsley. I trust him completely."

Tonks nods and says "of course, Director Bones. My mother doesn't know if she can. However, my mother is offered a new date. She wonders if you can come 16th of September for dinner as she is rarely called in on Friday evening or night. Also, I have no duty that evening or night."

Amelia says "I think that will be alright. How does 7 PM sound?"

Tonks says "that should be alright. I will ask my mother tonight and if another time is better she will send you a letter."

Amelia says "that will be alright. If you can take place beside Kingsley as for my protection. She is as a training exercise. Tomorrow I will have Hestia be the other one to use this as training. It will also rouse no suspicion as I want to hear Sirius out and wonder what your mother proposes."

Amelia turns around and asks "Kingsley do you work this Friday evening or night?"

Kingsley shakes his head and says "no, I do not but like I said before Amelia I will accompany you even in my own time."

Amelia asks "if you really don't mind?"

Kingsley says "no, I do not. Sirius saved my life more than once when we encountered Dark Eaters as did James. I owe him at least this much if he really didn't get a trial and also to James to get the real traitor."

Amelia says "alright then it is settled. Auror Trainee Tonks if you please take the place next to Senior Auror Shacklebolt we can close this matter at the moment."

Tonks nods and stands up to take the place, Amelia, want her to.

14th September 1994, Great Hall, Hogwarts

It is lunch. Harry is still with Hagrid and at the Slytherin table, Draco is again insulting Hagrid not that no one goes against him. Daphne thinks about it but until Harry knows she is his betroth she doesn't want to bring more enemies than she already has. She has seen the predatory glances from the Slytherin in her year and upper years at her. The first time she is really afraid and the rumours she heard from those fifth-year girls in her first year when she sneaks out of her dorm scares her.

Suddenly Draco sits across her and says with a menacing smile "I saw you going to someone else than me in Defence Against the Dark Arts last time. You better go to me tomorrow if you need to go to your love. You need to see me as the one you love as it will be unfortunate if something happened to your parents, it is a dangerous world after all."

Astoria sits next to her and grabs her hand under the table afraid that Malfoy's threats are real. Daphne squeezes her hand to support Astoria. She has already eaten and doesn't have the patience again for this. She stands up immediately followed by Astoria and Tracey. Daphne sees Lillian considering it when Pansy tries to take Malfoy's attention off Daphne. She sees Pansy doesn't want to but tries nonetheless.

Daphne thinks to herself 'I will not forget this Pansy.'

As she leaves the Great Hall she knows Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle will follow them. She has her wand already in her hand. She decides to go up. She as Tracey has a free period but Astoria has charms after lunch.

On the third floor, Malfoy shouts "don't think you get away from me Greengrass. I will make you mine as your sister. I am sure the half-blood can also entertain me until I am sick of her."

She doesn't care about herself being insulted but threatening her little sister and best friend is too much. She turns around but didn't expect Malfoy to be so close. Malfoy sees her surprised face and tries to grab her. She lowers her wand and Malfoy thinks he has her. Malfoy however, forgot the last time he tried as she does what gave her the nickname Ice-Princess besides the indifferent face she uses.

Malfoy suddenly feels something very cold around his privates. Daphna has uses an ice spell on his private which hurt a lot. Malfoy falls to the ground. Crabbe and Goyle go for her but she is very proficient with the Ice spell and before they take even one step toward her they also lie on the ground from pain.

She walks away with Tracey and Astoria immediately following her. Tracey has a large smile. Astoria loves her sister more. She is also an indifferent mask but she isn't very good in it and many times her mask slips. Also, she has trouble with the ice spell Daphne used.

Just before they round the corner they hear Malfoy scream "I will get you for this Greengrass. I will get you, you slut, and you sister too. Don't think I didn't the smirk on your face half-blood whore. The time is closing in on you and I am sure I can make them move a bit faster if needed I don't need to wait, you are ripe already. OUCH!"

Daphne is afraid of what he means. She can't help a small smile at the obvious sound of pain at the end. She sees Astoria a bit afraid and Tracey's smile has dropped.

She says "don't worry Tori and Tracey. While I am sure he will try something if we stay together he will not have the change."

Tracey whispers "I think you need to ask Harry for help and if he doesn't want to involve himself you need to tell him about the marriage contract."

Daphne says "I would love to but I am not allowed to tell him …. or at least not yet."

They bring Astoria to the Charms classroom that is open despite Professor Flitwick being in the Great Hall when they left. They stay until Professor Flitwick arrive and then they leave to the library to use their free period productively and knowing Malfoy will not bother them there.

14th September 994, Hogwarts

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville just left the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom after a double period. The class was good but when Moody start to Imperius everyone again it was bad. Most who controlled first could again but every order especially those with no defence became more extreme. Also, those who could resist got Imperius with more power thrown at them.

Ron says "Moody is mental. No wonder Dad needed to go to Moody's house on the 1st of September."

Harry asks "what do you mean?"

Ron asks "didn't it tell you?"

Harry, Neville and Hermione shake their head.

Ron says "oh, well it was not much. Dad said he needed to go to Moody's house on the 1st of September as he had enchanted dust bins if I remember correctly and those attacked everyone that come close. They asked Dad to do it as they are muggle items. He enchanted them as he doesn't trust anybody save a few including Dad. Muggles us a person to deliver mail and Moody is paranoid. Dad said something about Basilisk eggs Moody thought he got delivered."

Hermione says "but Basilisk can't lay eggs. A Basilisk can only be born by a normal chicken egg being hatched by a toad, most of the time I guess."

Harry hears Hermione's hatred of Basilisks. Harry wonders if it is to all snakes or only Basilisks. He hopes when he tells her he has a king cobra and finally when he tells her it is the Basilisk she will not be mad or at least let him explain she was controlled and that her real duty was to protect the school not kill the muggleborns. She was to protect the school from danger inside and outside be it magical, muggles or creatures. Technically she still is although she pretends to be a King Cobra.

Harry has been thinking about how to bring it up that he has a snake as a companion. He hoped that when he brings it up Hermione wonders how he can have two animals, but he now knows that her hatred probably is stronger than her thirst for knowledge.

16th September 1994, Tonks residence, Dartford

It is almost 7 PM. Tonks is a little bit anxious as her boss is coming to her house. Is it actually her parents' house but she lives there too. Not only her boss but also her mentor comes in just a few minutes. Her mother allowed them to come through the floo if they prefer and Amelia says that it would be best for the moment.

Just as the clock strikes 7 the fireplace lights up and green flames show an arrival. It is Amelia immediately followed by Kingsley. Tonks says "welcome to my house, Director Bones."

Amelia says "Tonks as this is more of an informal nature you can call me Amelia. I don't know what Kingsley prefers."

Kingsley says "you can just call me Kingsley or Shack. I don't really care which."

Tonks smiles and says "of course. Bo… Amelia and Kingsley if you follow me, I will introduce you to my parents. They are in the kitchen as dinner should be ready shortly."

They walk into the kitchen and see that Tonks' mother is working on the food while Tonks' father is looking over some documents it seems. They don't notice Tonks until she says "Mom and Daddy Amelia and Kingsley have arrived."

They both look to the doorway and see behind Tonka Amelia and Kingsley.

Ted stands up and says "welcome to our home. I am Ted Tonks. I think we met a long time ago."

Amelia says "indeed. I think the last time was Harry Potter's first birthday."

Andi says "yes, indeed. Although I don't remember seeing you…. Kingsley was it?"

Kingsley says "yes. I am Kingsley Shacklebolt. I would have suspected Tonks would have mentioned me."

Ted says "she did, but don't ask me what she said….."

Tonks's hair turns red and whines "Daddy….."

Ted can't suppress a smile and says "anyway, you are her mentor and a Senior Auror and squad leader, right?"

Kingsley nods and says "yes I am. To be honest I am her as Amelia asked me to come along and as both Amelia and I are not on duty you can call us by our first name."

Amelia agrees. She also says "I am also wondering if what Siri sai…. I mean Sirius Black said is true as that would be a great matter of injustice and maybe even without gathering support I can get him a trial as if he didn't get a trial as one of the most important houses many may be afraid of the same can happen to them."

Andi asks "why don't we first have dinner before we get into Sirius? The dinner is about ready."

Amelia agrees and as Kingsley is still an Auror and Amelia his boss he agrees when Amelia does.

They eat dinner and dessert which take almost an hour. Andi sends the dishes to was themselves. Ted says "should we go to the living room?"

They all agree. Ted asks "Andi can you grab some glasses while I get the butterbeer and Fire Whiskey."

Andi narrow her eyes in anger. Ted says "love, the Fire Whiskey is only if someone needs it."

Andi says "you better or ….."

Ted says "yes, yes, I know the couch will be my best friend for the coming weeks."

Dora starts to laugh. Amelia tries to keep her indifferent mask but fails. If you look you see that she thinks about someone else with a happy smile. Kingsley just palms his face and shakes his head. Andi glares at Dora which makes her stop laughing, but Dora can't suppress her big smile.

When everybody is in the living room Ted pours everyone a butterbeer. Amelia asks after she takes a sip "well Madam Tonks ….."

Andi says "let me stop you right there. As this isn't official as Dora can call you by your first name. You can call me Andi or if you prefer Andromeda."

Ted says "of course, you can call me Ted."

Amelia nods and says "alright. As Tonks did you can call me Amelia."

Kingsley says "you can call me Kingsley or if you prefer Shack."

Ted and Andi nod.

Amelia says "I guess we need to get back to the point of our visit. However, Andi, I wonder what you propose to do? I said I am willing to hear Sirius out and I speak the truth. If he really didn't get a trial I want to know what really happened. My niece didn't say it but most of Hogwarts think Harry had something to do with Sirius escaping. I have met Harry and he wouldn't do it just because he is his godfather. There must be something more. However, as I am the DMLE I don't think he will tell me what happened or why he did it. Also with Dumbledore back I don't think I will be able to talk to Harry until the first Hogsmeade visit which isn't until October."

Andi says "Amelia what I propose is very simple. When Sirius gets here you will be here. However, you will not be here as Director Bones or at least not at first. You will bring Veritaserum and we offer Sirius the chance to take it voluntarily. If he decides not to, I want your promise he can leave without being stopped once."

Amelia asks in disbelief "you want me to let him leave if he decides he wouldn't take the potion?"

Andi nods.

Amelia says "fine, but only if he will answer some question truthfully that does not directly involve what he is accused of."

Andi says "I cannot promise that but if needed I will stun him. I can make sure he will not have a wand at the beginning of the meeting. You can of course take Kingsley with you. If he takes Veritaserum you need two Aurors to make his answers admissible for the wizengamot and no Dora junior Aurors are not counted as one of the two Aurors."

Amelia nods and says "yes, I need another Auror to make it admissible and can remove the Kiss on sight order. I don't want to have Fudge barge in my office again demanding Aurors to have Dementors guard Hogwarts."

Ted says "I can understand. How can the Wizengamot agree?"

Amelia says "believe Ted maybe did not agree. There is an old law that during dangerous times the Minister get some privileges like having an amount removed from Azkaban to catch or in this case Kiss the wizards and/ or witches. I am at least glad when Fudge wanted to increase the amount of Dementors around Hogwarts most of the wizengamot voted against it. Some of the darker houses voted for it even though they have their sole Heir at Hogwarts."

Andi says "it can be to hope Dumbledore messes up and if lucky killed some wizards and witches that they find unworthy or simple hate like Muggleborns or Harry as most of the darker houses were followers of You-Know-Who or at least supported his ideology."

Amelia says "well if they did it for that they almost succeeded. In the first Quidditch match Dementors entered the Hogwarts ground which Dumbledore didn't allow as Headmaster what give him the right, they attacked Harry while he was chasing the Snitch. It was awful weather probably because of the Dementors. When Harry flew up high Dementors attacked him. Dumbledore and Flitwick saved him but he lost his consciousness and his broom. They weren't sure what happened until he fell down and right after Harry was saved many Dementors came from the clouds down to the Quidditch pitch precisely where Harry fell down from according to my Niece."

"What I find most peculiar is that nobody notified me of this. I heard it from my niece during the Yule holiday. When I asked it the Aurors who were there that day told me that as nobody was hurt and many other Aurors were protecting other areas without Dementors and Kingsley together with Mad-Eye and hand-picketed Auror by the Head Auror where searching Sirius they didn't report it as it will complicate the search effort."

Ted says "I understand why they didn't, but as I see it someone got hurt and that is not mentioning if someone got hurt by the awful weather probably caused by the Dementors. They should have immediately reported it."

Amelia nods and says "yes, fortunately, most of the Professors if not all can cast the Patronus charm and protected the students until the Aurors arrived and they forced the Dementors back to the Hogwarts border by their own Patronus. If I didn't need them I would fire them, if I didn't need them in the field I would have given them desk duty until at least New Year and I mean the coming New Year, unfortunately, I needed them for both. The Auror corps is small and barely funded enough as it is."

"If I fire Aurors I don't the money to replace them quickly enough. I can get some money to rehire Aurors that retired but many didn't survive You-Know-Who. Only a few are left, the only one who could return to active duty is Mad-Eye but he is teaching Defence Against the Dark Arts as a favour to Dumbledore, the others are either too old or lost too much that they never can or want to return to the DMLE for active duty."

Kingsley says "sorry to interrupt how enlightened that this is we are digressing."

Andi says "Kingsley is right. So what do you think Amelia should we do what I propose as I don't think getting Veritaserum and the antidote would be much trouble. Also as Sirius seems sane we need to know how he did it."

Ted says "Andi, maybe you need to tell them."

Amelia asks "you have an idea he is sane how he could be? I agree he sounds sane but he was in Azkaban, a place worse than hell, for close to twelve years in the deepest cell that had Dementors around more times than not some days it was the whole day even if he got food. Many have gone crazy and died or at least lost their sanity years ago. Also, we don't know if what he said is the real truth or it is his perception of reality what he considers true."

"As he was in Azkaban including the factors or sanity and his perception I am not even sure if with two Auror or even Senior Aurors or Master Aurors although we have no Master Aurors in our department that will convince the wizengamot his questioning under Veritaserum is true. I don't think anyone will mention Occlumency as his shields should be shattered even if he is already free for a year because of the Dementor exposure although if he is sane, they may think he still has his shields that will be strong enough to resist Veritaserum. Is it a miracle he is sane if he will have strong enough shields or even any shields left it would be way more than a miracle, a gift of Merlin himself?"

The others all agree and say they do. Andi says "I think he knows how he managed but it isn't my place to tell. No matter how much I sometimes 'hate' him he is still my cousin and one of the few of my family I still like."

After a few minutes Amelia asks "Andi may I see the letter of Sirius?"

Andi nods. She expected that and grabs the letter she already grabbed before Amelia and Kingsley arrived as she didn't know how Amelia would respond to her former romantic interest. If she must believe her own eyes Sirius isn't her former romantic interest but is still her romantic interest if she believes the letter is what she wants more than anything.

Andi hand Amelia the letter. Amelia starts reading. It looks like Amelia savours every word or reads the letter multiple times. Andi doesn't know which one it is as Amelia takes much longer than she should read the whole letter.

After ten minutes Kingsley clears his throat which makes Amelia look up. It was almost like she was in trance. Amelia says "sorry. I think this really is from Sirius and I think your plan is the best Andi. I will have access to the Veritaserum and antidote. I can also take it if I want to without arousing suspicion. It is one of my rights as Director of the DMLE as I will have a good reason for it even if it is a private matter."

Andi nods and says "it makes it easier so I don't have to brew it as it will be difficult as it is NEWT difficulty and while I have no doubt I can make it I don't have the time to make sure it is good. Ted isn't good enough to make it, certainly not with his busy job. Dora even with her NEWT for potions is very difficult to even with witches and wizards who manage to get a NEWt for potions. Also, Dora got an A. I would only have her help me if she got an O especially if it goes wrong it is very dangerous."

Dora says "I got an O for my OWLs."

Andi says "that is because you begged me to tutor you in the summer before your fifth year."

Dora says "that is because Snape only allows students with O's in their OWL in his class. If I didn't manage it, I should have studied on my own and wouldn't be able to become an Auror until you taught me to get an A passed my NEWTs. As I got an O OWL you didn't have to teach me as Snape did if you can call it like that."

Andi says "I know my daughter. Amelia, I think we are digressing again. I think we managed to plan everything we need to do. When I know when he will arrive I will send you a letter or Dora will tell you. Is that agreeable?"

Amelia says "yes, that is alright. I think we can better take our leave especially as Junior Auror Tonks has duty tomorrow morning and I have a long night ahead of me. the problem because of the Dark Mark is still not solved and an emergency ordinance went into effect that will be announced Monday morning I need to make sure I have everything in order. Those who were hit by the emergence ordinance had already known it for two weeks and my Aurors were busy making sure they gave the information my Aurors needed and verify it. That is almost done so now the other witches and wizards in our society need to know as it will undoubtedly lead to a shortage I just hope it doesn't lead to a shortage in our basic needs like food."

Ted asks "what do you mean?"

Amelia tells them what happened in the wizengamot at the end of August because Lucius Malfoy cursed him many times. Amelia also tells what she knows that gets imported and vital like food the import from the mainland and to her knowledge they have the same suppliers for years and a few countries that sell it to their country like magical Sweden.

Amelia ends with "like I said I think most will be alright but some new import and export businesses will be bankrupt shortly. I also heard that the biggest import and export business from House Greengrass will probably be bankrupt soon."

"I think Malfoy proposed this emergency ordinance to put pressure on Jacob Greengrass as Lord Greengrass as Malfoy has his eye on his daughters for Draco. He probably has his own eyes on the Greengrass business and vault which includes their property and more I suppose."

Andi says while clearly thinking "as yes I remember Jacob Greengrass. Slytherin is like me but quite a couple of years younger. I do mostly remember him and his wife Isabel from when we met them at the Potters. Lily was a good friend of Isabel. I don't remember her last name but I do remember she is a Ravenclaw."

Amelia nods and says "yes. Between us before the fatal attack on the Potters and the Longbottoms, House Greengrass and House Davis were considering joining the Great Alliance. I remember plans were planned to put in motion to make it happen but unfortunately, I forgot the plans and don't even know if the plans were put in motion or not. Nobody expects the Longbottoms and the Potters to know almost anything from the others and know the plans."

"I think they wanted to tell us at the next meeting when the plans were set in motion and unable to be stopped, however, that meeting happened after the attack and it was immediately the last meeting as the Great Alliance fell apart without leadership from House Potter or House Longbottom."

"Inner struggle who should lead and distrust between houses resurfacing as House Potter and House Longbottom weren't there to stop it and assure both houses there was no problem or distrust. Also, quite a couple were afraid as Death Eaters were still at large and Alice and Frank were attacked even after You-Know-Who was defeated. Madam Longbottom didn't have the authority Frank had and she wasn't present as she needed to take care of Neville."

"Those that stayed loyal to the Great Alliance who were only a few houses including House Bones tried to search for Harry, but Dumbledore was apparently Guardian after Sirius kept him hidden. I offered to take him and I even know Madam Longbottom after she had calmed down wanted to take him. She also tried to remake the Great Alliance but without House Potter, nobody except the loyal houses returned and some of the loyal houses didn't even have a vote in the wizengamot. We were almost powerless now."

"The houses that weren't loyal would want to be part anymore because they thought the attack of the Potters and Longbottoms was because of the Great Alliance I don't know if it really is, but anyway they were afraid on just waited to be able to pull out. I think some regret as some of the unloyal houses still support me on almost everything and certainly on the important things even though they normally were against those things."

"If the Great Alliance be reformed I think the houses that didn't stay loyal out of fear or any other reasons will make them regret the day they left the Great Alliance especially if Neville and Harry are like their fathers. I will not tell too much as I will be the whole night to tell you everything I have witnessed and learned from my father when the taught my brother and me."

Andi says "yes, I also know something from Lily, James and Sirius when they told me. Sirius hated he couldn't convince his dad to join the Alliance but most were against it, not even House Potter and House Longbottom couldn't take that distrust away at least until Sirius became Lord Black which eventually never happened or maybe he did. He did write like he is, but the ministry will never accept it. Gringotts may do but just to spite the ministry. Also if he isn't by default it will be Lucius's spawn and Sirius hates the Malfoys … well Lucius and his spawn. He never hated my younger sister Narcissa."

Amelia asks "do you really think he is the guardian of Harry and is also Regent Potter?"

Andi says "yes, I do. Why do you want to know? I don't think it will help to remake the Great Alliance."

Amelia says "I know. If he really is, you will probably know by the end of the meeting with Sirius. Anyway, come on Kingsley we should go immediately or I am afraid I will really stay the entire night if I want to or not."

Kingsley nod as they both stand up. Amelia says "I will eagerly await your owl or for Tonks that will give me the information. If possible I want to be here 15 minutes before Sirius and Remus arrive. I know remember why Remus didn't become an Auror or at least was refused to become one although he is a very good fighter."

17th September 1994, Hogwarts

It is in the afternoon. Ginny is searching for Hermione as for some reason she isn't in the library. She could ask Harry, but she also couldn't find him. She asked Ron but he barely said anything and tried to ignore her. If it was her first year she would run away crying and probably write in that horrible book.

Ginny is surprised this is the first time she doesn't get feel disgusted and depressed because of her first year and writing in the damned diary. The mere thought of Harry and her best friend Hermione and Luna keeps her more than happy…. well not happy but at least not bad. The thoughts about Harry becoming their boyfriend and she will have her sister-wives that is what makes her happy. She knows Harry may not accept it at first but she knows that Hermione and she are determined to make it happen so it will and even if Harry then still isn't sure Luna is their ace in the hole. If Luna says it you are more likely to accept it how unlikely it is even true what Luna says. If Luna says that they will share Harry if Harry doesn't believe Hermione and her or refuse Luna will surely make Harry think about that.

When that happens Hermione and her being determined make Harry accept even if they need to pressure him a bit. However, before that can happen she needs to talk to Hermione about something that has been bothering her. Not with Hermione, but more about Harry and what they need to solve or her planning to have Harry be their boyfriend by New Year will be delayed severely. Her first plan is already being delayed by the problem and she was a bit too optimistic she figured by New Year it is still possible to have him as their boyfriend by then.

Also, she needs to talk with Hermione and Luna about Katie and probably Susan too as she almost looking at Harry all the time. She doesn't know in class and probably will not soon as Hermione maybe even not notice during class. She can, of course, ask Hermione to watch Susan but she would be surprised if Hermione forget as she likes to learn from her classes.

Ginny shakes her head. She thinks 'I can think about that later first I need to find Hermione. I hope Luna has better luck. Also Harry where can he be? Almost every day he disappears for some time and almost every time he is at Hagrid's. If I needed Harry that would be my first guess nowadays. Maybe Hermione is also there, but Harry mostly goes alone for some reason even when I offered to go with him he said he needed to go alone. No, no Ginny first Hermione that is more important as it can help with Harry and telling them more.'

Ginny knows it is Hermione's birthday. She isn't in her happy place, the library. Her other happy place maybe even more than the library is next to Harry no matter where that is, but Harry wants to be alone at Hagrid's cabin so Ginny is out of ideas.

When she reaches the Great Hall where she asked Luna to meet. Ginny sees Luna but doesn't see Hermione.

Ginny asks "you didn't find her Luna?"

Luna looks far away and says "no, Giner…. Ginny. The Nargles say we should leave her for a little bit of time and we will see at dinner."

Ginny says "but dinner is still a few hours away. Maybe we should go to the library if she isn't there I am almost completely sure she will go there before dinner."

Luna looks at her before she nods and says "the Nargles say you are right."

17th September 1994, First Floor Classroom, Hogwarts

Meanwhile, in an unused classroom, Hermione is sitting looking out of a window looking towards the Forbidden Forest and Hagrid's cabin she has seen Harry walking there alone. She wonders why Harry wants to go alone. She offered every time to join him and even asked if Ginny and Luna could come. She even asked if Neville could come to not make it too obvious to Harry. Also, today is her Birthday, she wonders sadly if Harry forgot. She doesn't need a party like last year but Harry didn't even say Happy Birthday to her.

Harry may be thick but eventually, he should know that all three are interested in him which will bring problems for Harry until we can convince Harry it is alright. Maybe I should ask Hedwig to send Sirius and letter not to ask him to come back but he is also an Heir I guess. If the law still exists and Harry can use it he should know I guess even if he spends in Azkaban for close to 12 years.

Hermione doesn't know if she should ask Hedwig as Harry sometimes goes to the owlery to visit Hedwig. If she is gone he may become worried. Even if I said Hedwig is delivering my parents' mail they are not home and Harry knows that. I don't remember telling Harry where they are going but it will be the USA again, New York City. The first week is for the conference and the last two weeks are their vacation. They should be back in around 4 or 5 days. It will be impossible for Hedwig to be back before Harry noticed.

Also as her parents cannot enter any wizarding area they will buy some books in America but keep them at home and gave her a bit more money to spend than planned besides the money Harry didn't want back. She would have enough money for two years going to Hogsmeade if she didn't spend money on books, sweets and quills for example like she did last year.

She knows Harry still runs in the morning. He did it for Sirius but now he does it as the murder of his parents is still out there. Harry probably push himself hard as beside the rat also Death Eaters appeared again including the Dark Mark. She would love to run with him, but she knows she couldn't keep up and likes to use her time more studying.

She would never admit it but especially after Professor Moody make Susan jump with her large breasts, Hermione saw that it really makes Susan's breasts more noticeable and she saw many boys look some even almost drooled. Hermione is afraid if she starts running to be with Harry and not because she must, she will get the wrong kind of attention although she knows Harry will not there are enough other boys who will.

She does not want that boys look at her for her breasts. She wears mostly little loose clothes and she is happy the Hogwarts robes if used correctly hide the above-average size of her breasts and large arse. She doesn't have the biggest breasts or arse, which she is happy for. From her year it is Susan but Hermione does have bigger breasts or arse than quite a couple of upper years. Hermione only wishes her front teeth were smaller and her hair more tameable.

17th September 1994, library, Hogwarts

Ginny was getting worried when Hermione finally walks into the library. Ginny let out a big breath of relief while Luna has her serene smile that grows a little bit when she sees Hermione.

When Hermione is at her table Ginny and Luna stand up. They hug her while Hermione hugs her back. She doesn't understand why they hug her until Ginny and Luna whisper "Happy Birthday Hermione."

Ginny whispers "I am sorry I forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday this morning. Why don't you can choose something Hogsmeade that you want and I boy if for you as a Birthday present or maybe some sweets?"

Hermione is happy but she says "that is not needed, Ginny."

Ginny says "I want to I may not have very much like Harry but at least let me buy you a butterbeer or something as present."

Hermione sees that Ginny really wants this and says "fine Ginny, one butterbeer would be fine. I am much happier you wish me a Happy Birthday. If you really want to give me a butterbeer it will be nice."

Luna says "let me do the second Hermione. I also got some money from Daddy for Hogsmeade."

Hermione asks "are you sure Luna? You don't have to if you don't want or won't have enough for you. The same goes for you, Ginny."

Luna says "why don't Ginny and I both pay half of the first and we pay you half of the second so you only need to pay half of the second one."

Hermione nods and says "sure."

Luna whispers barely loud enough "the Nargles tell me Harry will pay after Yule even if we don't want him to. We need to watch him back after Yule something will happen around Yule or New Year."

Hermione asks "what do you see Luna?"

Luna says "I don't know it is very vague. It means it isn't set in stone, but I am sure it is about Harry. I wonder if I will know when we get closer. Although mostly Harry is vague maybe because of his power?"

Hermione almost screams "is it true that the magical power makes it difficult to see the future regarding the witch or wizard?"

Ginny looks surprised as she never heard of that. Luna says "I think so. I have trouble seeing Harry until a few seconds before or the moment it happens. I only know that Harry will have a long and happy life if he makes the right choice but first things get bad. However, I don't know what or when the choices are and what the bad things are."

Ginny asks "can we help him with the choices to guide them in the right direction?"

Luna says nothing for a few minutes. She suddenly says "some but not all. Also, I am not sure if we choose for him if the good or bad things will still happen. We must not choose too much as Harry needs to have self-confidence and self-reliance. I have no doubt Harry can get that and probably most of the time choose the right choice, but sometimes the choice he needs to take is hard for Harry to do because of his muggle upbringing or something similar. We need to be there to help Harry that he made the right choice or say what we think is the right choice if he asks for our advice or when he really doesn't know. Also sometimes Harry is very unsure what he needs to choose and we can help him and make sure Harry knows we support his choice no matter what it entails as we trust him completely."

Hermione and Ginny nod. Ginny says "Hermione as we start to talk about Harry anyway I need to discuss something with you. Luna, you may want to hear this as it may help you with what you wanted when we met on the train."

Luna gets a serene smile and says "alright Ginny. I already did once but would like to have it more."

Ginny asks "what? When?"

Luna simple says "it was the first morning here. I went to the Thestrals and I guess Harry saw me. He followed me and after we talk a bit I kissed his cheek before getting back to be in time to change into my school clothes and have breakfast for class. I can visit the Thestrals more I think as he said that I can get meat and fruit from the kitchen. Harry knows where it is."

Hermione slowly gets red from anger. She takes a deep breath to get herself under control. Harry knowing where the kitchen is doesn't make him guilty of anything but he could have told her.

Hermione thinks 'why Harry wouldn't keep it from me without good reason right? Does that mean I am wrong? NO, NO, NO this is pure slavery almost the worst slavery that exists. I just need to show Harry I am right. If I show him he will surely support me. I am sure Harry will if I find evidence however that can be difficult as the wizards believe they have the right what they do not as house-elves are intelligent creatures they deserve to be free.'

Hermione wants to research when she haves the time. She remembers Ginny wanting to talk about Harry. Hermione looks around to make nobody is close. Hermione stands up and walks around the table and looks in behind some bookcases when she is sure they are alone and nobody is eavesdropping she takes her seat again before she asks "what do you want to talk about, Ginny regarding Harry?"

Ginny says "since we came to Hogwarts we don't manage to get Harry alone before bed to give him a good night kiss. Ron and Neville are mostly around Harry until they go to bed. While I know we can enter their side we can kiss Harry when he is in bed, but if anyone saw us leave their bedroom we may be in trouble also if we go inside and Ron sees us it will give us much more trouble if he sees me kiss Harry even if it is one the cheek. He may even suspect you will give him a goodnight kiss as I am his sister. Although even if I wasn't I would get my lips even near him."

Hermione says "I think I will throw up if I need to kiss Ron even if it is on his cheek. If I need to kiss someone else of the boys on his cheek beside Harry it will be Neville."

Ginny and Luna agree.

Luna says "I would like to give Harry a goodnight kiss too."

Ginny says "I would like it if you give Harry one too. It will maybe help him see that we really love him, we want to share him and we are at least fine with it. Of course, until he accepts it we say we don't mind while at least from my side I love it as I finally have my sisters that I always want it and they or better-said you will know what I go through as we have the same man and are one big family."

Hermione says "if you say it like that Ginny I am even more sure I made the right decision and love you also. What was it … sister-wife?"

Ginny nods with a very big smile. She says "yes it is sister-wife. I will not lie that it isn't ideal as I would like Harry for myself, but I am still very happy for having my sisters and that we all three know Harry will do his best to make us happy and he will make sure that have someone on one time with each of us and those that may join. That immediately brings me to that point. What do we do with Katie and I guess Susan?"

Hermione says "if we allow to join them I think we can better talk to Katie first. You said the pureblood girls or the half-blood girls who grew up in the wizarding world may know the law that Harry can have more wives if the law still exists and Harry can use it. If it is Susan she may know and will have an easier time excepting it therefore I suggest Katie be first. If we do Katie must know that there will be probably more girls and that while we can decide Harry has the final say, but he would certainly listen to our concerns. I don't think Katie will have a big problem with Susan."

"I know Harry will try his best but he is still a teenage boy and Susan has a mature body for her age and will probably still grow. I know he will probably be … aroused by Susan and her body but he will not forget about us especially as we all have a less matured body as I think nobody will surpass Susan ever."

Luna smiles when she says "yes, Susan's boobies are the largest in the school and has how was that said ….. childbearing hips while she is only fourteen and probably still growing. I hope she let me rub her boobies after Harry did it at least once for Susan. I hope to get big boobies too and make Harry rub them."

Nothing is said as Ginny hopes the same as Luna and is surprised she wouldn't mind rubbing Susan's breasts just like Luna. She also hopes that her breasts will still grow but not too big as she wants to become a professional Quidditch player for the Holyhead Harpies and having big breasts works against her dream. She wants to give Harry a family and she doesn't know want she wants more, but she thinks if Harry asks her to bear his children instead of becoming a professional Quidditch player she will as her love for Harry is too much and much stronger than her own dream. She thinks that having Harry's children will bring her just as much if not more pleasure than becoming a professional Quidditch Plater even if it is for her favourite team.

Hermione knows her breasts will grow and while she knows she will never surpass Susan's she hopes Harry will want to rub her breasts too when they are both ready for something like that. She turned fifteen today, but he is still only fourteen. She knows Harry is not ready he is at least fifteen but maybe if Ginny's plan works it can before he is fifteen. Maybe around March or April maybe even sooner. Depends on how far they are with Harry at the moment they start the relationship and how fast it progresses. Do they already snog when they start the relationship or is it just kisses even if it is on the mouth? Hermione knows she needs to talk with Ginny and Luna when she thinks Harry is ready. She knows that if they aren't ready at the end of the school year they can try to do it in the summer after Harry turned fifteen.

Suddenly Luna says with a different voice than her normal voice "I agree Hermione. I think Susan knows and maybe even accepts that she will not be the only one. The Nargles tell me Susan knows she will not be the only one. They also know something between Susan and Harry that Harry doesn't know but the Nargles don't tell me what. They say Susan will tell you Hermione when she is ready."

Ginny says "while this is a very enlightening conversation do you have an idea Hermione how we can do it and if possible also have Luna give Harry a goodnight kiss and how soon do you want to talk to Katie?"

Hermione says "I think we first need to think about a plan for the goodnight kisses before thinking about Katie."

Ginny says "I thought the same."

Hermione says "and what about you Luna? Do you think Katie should join us if she can share Harry with us?"

Luna says "I think so. I don't really know her, but I would like to. She looks nice and she is pretty. I think she will be a good sister-wife."

Hermione says "yes, she sure is. I think she will be indeed a good sister-wife and she is very nice. I don't think Harry wouldn't mind when he accepts this. Harry does have the last vote though when he accepts it that is."

Ginny and Luna agree. Ginny with a smile and Luna with her serene smile as they nod their head.

Ginny asks "does any of you have an idea regarding the goodnight kisses. I almost wanted t hex Ron yesterday and threaten Neville so Harry was alone. If we don't do something soon Harry will think we don't want to do it anymore while we want to. I think it will hurt Harry. Also, it will remove what we accomplished the last week of summer."

Hermione asks "that he wants and expects it you mean?"

Ginny nods and she says "yes and that it is normal we do it. I know we can't act as girlfriends yet as we did at the burrow, but there must be a way that we can give him goodnight kisses right before he goes to bed without the others seeing it."

Hermione thinks. Luna says "why don't we ask Harry to talk to him in private?"

Hermione says "it would probably work but we can't do that every night."

Ginny asks "don't you think it will work for the time being. Also, there are different things we can ask. One time it is talking another time to help us with casting spells or maybe help with Defence Against the Dark Arts homework or Ancient Runes he is good in according to you Hermione."

Hermione thinks while saying "I think that could work for the time being. Ronald will surely not follow us unless he needs help with homework too. Neville will probably follow but maybe we can ask him to let us be alone with Harry for a bit. Neville will probably accept that while Ronald will not. We can do that tonight."

Ginny nods with a big smile. Luna gave a big smile and say with the most emotion they have seen her with as she says "yippie."

Hermione says "maybe we should be true about what we want to do. It will prevent Harry from being anxious every time we want to talk to him. Also after a week or two, Harry will see what we do every time we want to talk to him. I mean he is a boy but if we do it every time what we want even he couldn't be that thick."

Ginny says "I agree. I mean Harry is not stupid or as thick as most other boys I guess. I don't really know if all the boys are thick but I have no intention of finding out. Hermione, I think we can tell Harry but wouldn't that spook him or something like that?"

Hermione sighs before she says "maybe, but if we do it without telling him he may ask someone for advice and if it is Ronald I think his jealousy would take over again. Even if he manages to give Harry advice it is probably bad advice and Ronald doesn't know when to shut up. I think within the day Hogwarts know we give Harry a good night kiss every night. The girls will look closer at us, especially those that want in and the boys may think we give it to anyone and badger us every day every time they see us and that is not to mention what the Slytherins or other bigots will do or say."

Ginny says "I think you are right, Hermione. So you propose just to say we like doing it and just leave it at that to tell him why we do it and hope that will not make him ask Neville or Ron about advice."

Hermione nods when Luna suddenly says "Oh dinner is about to start we should go. The Nargles tell me there will be pudding."

17th September 1994, Gryffindor Common Room, Hogwarts

It is almost curfew for the first to fourth year. They have almost 15 minutes before they should be at least in their respected Common Rooms where the prefects need to make sure they don't stay up in the Common Room too long and too late. In the most extreme cases, they can have their head of house come to send the whole house to bed unless the prefects needed to patrol the corridors.

Many students were talking and enjoying themselves. It is Saturday most of the students didn't work on their homework unless it was due soon. Ron knows he needs to have homework done on Monday.

He thinks 'I still have tomorrow. Hermione will do most of the work if I ask her I am sure of it.'

Ron has been badgering Harry or Neville to play wizarding chess even after they already played a few games. Harry and Neville are reading at the table. They need to read a couple of pages before the next class. While they have enough time they decide to do it now.

Harry wonders where Hermione and Ginny are, as they left a few minutes ago. They went outside the Common Room, not to their bed. He hopes everything is alright. He wanted to go with them but they didn't want him to. Harry doesn't get a bad feeling and hopes that this means nothing is wrong.

The painting opens and Hermione comes in. He wonders where Ginny is. Hermione walks to him and asks "Harry can I talk to you alone for a minute?"

Harry sees that Hermione is nervous. He says "sure Hermione. See you in a bit Neville. If Ron asks tell him I will return in a bit."

Neville says "alright Harry."

Harry follows Hermione. He wonders where she wants to talk to him alone and why. He also wonders why they walk toward Ravenclaw Tower and not just one floor below Gryffindor's entrance as there are enough empty classrooms there and which is much closer than Ravenclaw tower although Ravenclaw Tower isn't very far away from Gryffindor Tower.

17th September 1994, Ravenclaw Tower, Hogwarts

On the sixth floor of Ravenclaw tower, Hermione entered a room. Harry immediately follows.

When he enters the room he is surprised. Hermione said that she wanted to talk to him alone but Ginny and Luna also are in the classroom.

Harry can only think of one thing 'oh bloody hell I am in trouble for sure. But what did I do wrong?"

Luna looks at him and says "you don't have to worry Harry you are not in trouble."

Luna's smile does remove a lot of Harry's anxiety but still is not completely sure. When Hermione and Ginny just give a smile to him and do not look angry he thinks that Luna is right but that does make him wonder why they are here and why Hermione wanted to talk to him. She kind of lied as she said she wanted to talk to him alone although she never said she would be alone.

Hermione says "Harry, take a seat."

Harry takes a seat and asks "what is wrong, Hermione?"

Hermione says "there is nothing wrong Harry. I ….. we want to tell you something."

Harry doesn't say anything. When they see he wouldn't Ginny starts "Harry, you remember we kissed your cheek before going to bed or taking a nap?"

Harry shyly nods.

"And that when Hermione was at her parents I stopped and then when she returned we did it again what again stopped when school started," Ginny says.

Harry shyly nods again.

Hermione says "Harry, we would like to do that again if you don't mind. Also, we didn't do it as we don't want anybody else to see, not because we don't them to see us give you a …. goodnight kiss but more about all the rumours it would cause. I fear that many would become jealous one way or another. Girls will because they want to also kiss you goodnight … if not more. Boys may become jealous that you get goodnight kisses not caring it is only us."

Ginny says "like Hermione said we wanted to do it before but Neville and Ron didn't leave you alone although a couple of time Dean and Seamus was also around you. Ron still is jealous easily and would probably be mad I give you one and want or maybe even expect to get one for Hermione."

Harry feels angry at Ron but learned from the Occlumency books to not show his anger and let it go. Harry says "you don't have to explain. You also don't have to lie. If you don't want to you don't have to."

Hermione and Ginny almost shout at the same time "Harry James Potter, we do not lie to you."

Harry tries to look away to not look in their angry eyes. His eyes focus on Luna's serene smile that somehow soothes him.

Harry takes a deep breath and asks "then why bring me here? We could also do it somewhere closer to the Common Room and if you don't want anyone to see why is Luna here. Luna, it is not that I don't trust it is just well…"

Luna stands up which makes Harry stop talking. She walks to Harry and kisses him on the cheek. She says "I wanted to give you a goodnight kiss too."

Hermione says "yes Harry and it is easier for her to get to Ravenclaw dorm from here. Also if we three get caught a few minutes after curfew most Professors would take us to the Common Room and not dock points as we just can tell we forgot the time. Alone it that quite difficult to get away with."

"Also if you have the map with you we can evade the patrols who may give us trouble like Professor Snape or one of the Slytherin prefects although I don't imagine the Slytherin prefects to be up here. I don't think Professor Snape would be up here as his office is in the dungeon and probably his sleeping quarters too like most of the other Professors have sleeping quarters that are connected to their office and sometimes classroom."

Harry is surprised by Luna but can't suppress a smile. His mind is blank as he feels nice and Ginny and Hermione just smile at him after Luna kisses him on his cheek.

Luna smiles and says "goodnight Harry."

Luna stops at the door and says "goodnight Hermione and Ginny. I will close the door behind me."

Luna leaves the room.

Harry doesn't know what to think of this but it makes him feel good and he doesn't know why but also feels an emotion he hasn't felt before except this summer with Hermione and Ginny just when they were enjoying spending the day. He felt something similar but not the same with Moony and Padfoot.

Before Harry can think about it more. Ginny walks to him to give him a goodnight kiss soon followed by Hermione. Harry's smile grew and Hermione says "we must go quickly, it will be curfew soon if possible I would like to be back in the Common Room before curfew."

Ginny says "yes come on."

They walk to the door but don't see Harry following them. He still has the big smile. Ginny and Hermione walk to him and pull him up. Ginny looks at Hermione and gives her a wink. Ginny and Hermione don't let go and do the same as in the summer, especially as they did on the day of the Quidditch World Cup final, to act like clingy girlfriends.

They walk back to the Gryffindor Common Room. Right before they enter the Giant Staircase both Ginny and Hermione clearly reluctantly let him go. Even Harry sees that they do it reluctantly.

Before entering Harry asks "are you sure you want to give me …. well that."

Ginny says "yes."

Hermione sighs before she says "yes Harry. Also, we both prefer if you don't tell anyone. For now, we can't do it in public and when we can do it, it just makes us happy, removes any bad thoughts in our head and calms us down. I hope you don't feel used."

Harry says "I don't mind if it helps you then it is good and … to be honest, I am also happy. I hope you don't mind me saying."

Hermione and Ginny smile clearly making him see they don't mind.

17th September 1994, Gryffindor Common Room, Hogwarts

After the big smile, they walk to the Gryffindor Common Room with Harry barely a step behind them. To their surprise, only a couple of upper years are still up. Most don't notice them or when they see them go back to their own conversation. It seems the seventh year Prefects have Patrol as they leave just when Hermione, Ginny and Harry walk in.

Harry says when they are out of earshot from everyone " Hermione before I forget Happy Birthday. I have a present for you. Please wait a second."

Hermione can't suppress a smile.

After a couple of minutes, Harry returns with a package.

Harry says "I got bought this at the Quidditch world cup. It was difficult to find but I guess that was the only stall that sells books. It is mostly Quidditch based, but I manage to find some books about the countries like famous people and magic like runes and things like that. I only manage to find three books I hope you don't mind."

Hermione immediately kisses Harry dangerously close to his mouth and says "thank you, Harry."

Hermione opens the package. She sees a book named Irish runes: what is the difference and do we use them?, A second book named Bulgaria's most common runes used in Europe and lastly a book named Who did it? The invention of magic.

Harry says "the last should be which famous wizard or witch did invent a spell and how they did it. It may come in handy with Ancient Runes and Arithmancy, maybe Luna finds it also interesting or not because of her mother.

Ginny asks surprised "you know?"

Harry nods. He looks at Hermione and says "I wanted to get you a cake Hermione like last year, but then I should ask the elves and I don't think you would like that. If you want I can still ask them."

Hermione says "that isn't needed Harry, but if you to do something like that go on lunch with me on the Hogsmeade weekend without Ronald or Neville although I think Ginny and Luna will be with us. Do you mind?"

Harry says "if you want that instead of a cake, sure I don't mind."

Hermione gives him a big hug and says "now go to bed, It is getting late."

The older years who were up didn't notice that despite Hermione giving Harry a big hug but understand as Harry gave her a big package and they remember it is her Birthday. One or two of them hope that Harry soon becomes her boyfriend as then they would win the bet they made with the Weasley twins.

17th September 1994, Gryffindor Girl's side, Hogwarts

When they reach the third year dorm door and Ginny sees no one within earshot says "I am so happy we can do this now and that Harry understands us."

Hermione can't resist a smile and nods. She says "yes, me too."

Ginny says "I am even happier your parents accepted so I don't have to wait until Halloween or even Yule for you to accept in sharing Harry. I would have waited as you and Luna are my best friends but I was so sure it would have been very hard. I just knew you were going to accept. Well, we better go to bed."

Hermione give Ginny a big hug as she said "I am so happy you wouldn't mind Ginny. You are my best girlfriend as Luna is starting to be one too. You kept your word when I was gone, it makes any problems about sharing go away although I knew I could trust you already. I think we just need a few weeks before talking to Katie?"

Ginny says "I guess so but I defer to you, Hermione. You are Harry's best friend I think you will know when Harry is ready and you can easier talk to Katie than me as you are also a muggleborn. Katie will maybe not believe it when I say it and also you can tell her what made you able to accept it besides your parents accepting it."

Hermione says "Ginny you are his best friend too and ….."

Ginny immediately stops Hermione as she says "I am maybe a good friend almost best friend but I will never be his best friend that is you and I am alright with that as I want his love with a good friendship. I already have a good friendship now I only want his love. Also Hermione maybe someday I will also be his best friend but I will not surpass you, maybe we even share his best friend position."

Hermione's smile increase and she says "maybe you are right. Regarding Katie, I am not sure if I can convince her or keep her from telling me if she doesn't want to join. Also, I am not sure if I can see when Harry is ready. I know he is hiding something but I can't even know what but I think Hagrid is in on it. At some points, Harry got harder to read. I think it is because of one of the books Sirius gave him."

Ginny says "it doesn't matter if Harry is hiding something he will have a good reason. Also, I can give you my thoughts if Harry is ready. If we don't know maybe Luna will as she has the way to know something we don't and I don't think is because of her ability."

Hermione nods and says "yes. I think with all three of us we can figure it out. Anyway goodnight Ginny."

Ginny gives her a big hug before also saying goodnight as she enters her dorm and Hermione walks up the stairs to the fourth year dorm.

Let's end here for now. In the next chapter, we will see Sirius send the letter when he will arrive with Remus and Buckbeak after Andi sends him a letter. Also the meeting with Amelia. If the words allow it we also see the meeting between Sirius, Remus and the Greengrasses. Among other things is the words allow it.
