It is my first Harry Potter story. Will be Harry/Multi (Harem) and probably Neville/Multi. It will start at the beginning of the third year. Slow build-up. A smarter Harry and more friends. Earlier real friends with Neville and Ginny. Can be long between updates. Bashing RW/AD/?. We have reached the fourth year how will the earlier changes change the tournament and relationships?

Chapter 56 A meeting full of surprises

1st October 1994, Tonks residence, Dartford

They all take a seat and like Sirius requested Ted appears with two cold butterbeer. He places them in front of Sirius and Remus before he takes a seat along with the others.

Sirius asks "is the Veritaserum in the butterbeer?"

Amelia looks surprised. Andi says "no Sirius, I may be Slytherin but you are family and as this is important I will not unknowingly drug you. Yes, Amelia Sirius knows that he will need to take Veritaserum shortly."

Sirius nods and says "and I have nothing to hide. I will answer everything you ask me."

Remus rolls his eyes. He knows Sirius would do anything to please Amelia, but Remus sees that Sirius is digging his own grave if any question is directed at the marriage contracts or anything else about Harry except what Sirius trying to do at Hogwarts.

Remus asks "maybe it is better if we first lunch before having Sirius take Veritaserum?"

Amelia says "I am sorry Remus but no. I first want to get answers."

Remus wants to disagree as they didn't have much food the last couple of days. Sirius says before Remus can "of course, Amy. If you prefer that" with a smile on his face.

Amelia feels she starts to blush before she screams "DON'T CALL ME THAT."

Ted laughs which eases the tension as he manages to say "just like Dora although Dora changes her hair colour even darker than Amelia's hair."

Dora's hair changes to a soft red which shows she is embarrassed. Amelia glares at Ted but stops when she sees Andi is doing the same.

Sirius says "I am sorry Amelia. I will take the Veritaserum now."

Remus tries to save Sirius and says "we would prefer if you only ask about the supposed trail, his escape of Azkaban if you want and why he searched for Harry."

Sirius says "that is nonsense, Remus. Amelia can Siriusly ask me anything and I am Sirius."

Andi rolls his eyes and says "are you kidding me, Sirius? Two puns in one sentence?"

Sirius gets his signature smile that Amelia loves but not at this moment "yes Andi. I need to catch up after the almost twelve-year vacation at Azkaban."

Amelia groans and says "let's start already. Drink the Veritaserum Sirius. You know which one it is."

There are two vials one with a transparent potion and the other with a white potion. As an ex-Auror and knowing what the well-known potion looks like Sirius grabs the vial with the transparent potion.

Kingsley says "let me, Sirius. You only need three drops."

Amelia says "give him double."

Kingsley asks unsure "double?"

Amelia says "yes double."

Andi says "no Amelia. I can see that Sirius is not completely healthy. Shut it, Sirius."

Andi sees that Sirius wanted to interrupt.

Andi looks Amelia in the eyes and says "it can hurt him, that is why three should be enough. I think Sirius should be able to take 4 drops but not more. After we know that he is innocent, as I have no doubt but also need to know things that are also why I want him to take Veritaserum, I will examine him and see if he needs me as mediwitch after the questioning and lunch."

Andi gives a mischievous smile and says "unfortunately, I can do nothing about his mind and terrible puns as I am not a mind healer and cannot do much unless you want him to forget."

Amelia groans before she says "fine, give him four drops, I want no chance that he lies."

Sirius says "I would never lie to you, Amy."

Amelia says "I will know at the end of this if that is true."

Sirius looks afraid as this is the first time he worries about what Amelia means and offering to answer anything may not be the best choice of words. He looks at Remus and sees Remus smile while shaking his head.

Kingsley says "open your mouth, Sirius."

Sirius opens his mouth a bit reluctantly.

Kingsley says "tongue out."

Sirius obeys and feels four drops on his tongue. He closes his mind and swallows. Sirius feels his mind opening up and a clouded urge to tell the truth no matter what.

Kingsley looks into Sirius's eyes and says "I think he is ready Amelia."

Amelia nods and grabs a quill, ink and parchments.

Amelia asks "full name."

Sirius says "Sirius Orion Black the third, but the most handsome I am sure."

Remus can't help but chuckle while Andi groans and roll her eyes. Ted and Kingsley face palm themselves and Tonks can't help but laugh.

Amelia almost screams "only answer what I ask."

Sirius says "oh come on Amy you know I am the best looking of the three not to mention I am the only one alive."

Amelia threateningly says "Sirius."

Sirius holds up his hand and says "alright Amy you don't have to threaten me."

Amelia says "fine, let's continue and call me Amelia. I think we can better first ask questions that would be asked in a trial. Sirius, are you or was you ever a Death Eater, follower or did you support he-who-most-not-be-named?"

Sirius says "no, over my dead body."

Amelia nods almost thankfully. She asks "did you betray James, Lily and Harry Potter by revealing their location to he-who-must-not-be-named?"

Sirius says "no, I would rather die. Also, I couldn't. Not that I would if I could but like you should know Lily cast the Fidelius Charm over their house in Godric's Hollow. Well, you knew they would use the Fidelius Charm but not where they were."

Amelia asks "but weren't you the secret keeper of James, Lily and Harry Potter?"

Sirius nods no and says "no, I was not and neither was Remus."

Amelia asks "who was?"

Sirius asks looking to the ground "Peter Pettigrew. The rat."

Amelia asks unbelievable "the one you killed?"

Sirius looks directly into her eyes "he isn't dead. I wish I killed him, really I do."

Amelia asks "what do you mean?"

Sirius says "because of Remus's furry problem James, the rat and I decide to try to become Animagus. In our fifth year, we succeeded. We did it to keep Remus company when he had his monthly… AUW."

Andi has her wand pointed at Sirius and says "that is not funny, Sirius."

Sirius wants to respond it is when he sees the point of her wand start to light up again.

Sirius says "fine Andi, I am sorry. We did it to keep Remus company during the full moon as his bite does not affect animals and as we were animals at the time we will also be not infected if he bites us not that he did although he was attacking us the first full moon. The next month of the full moon he accepted us and so every full moon after that one even during summer and if it was during other holidays we would meet up and wait in our Animagus form where we would meet."

Andi says "you can better show Amelia, Sirius."

Sirius says "would that be alright after the questioning?"

Amelia says "alright, but I do want to know what you are."

Sirius says "of course. I am a big black dog many wizards and witches see as the Grimm."

Andi says "a mutt."

Sirius says with a touch of arrogance "like I said I am a purebred."

Andi smiles and says "yes a purebred mutt."

Amelia asks "can we continue I don't want to give Sirius more Veritaserum to get the answers."

Andi says "sure Amelia you will meet the mutt after we talked too."

Amelia nods and asks Sirius "and Peter Pettigrew?"

Sirius says "a rat."

Amelia thinks that Sirius says that he finds Pettigrew a rat. Amelia looks at Remus as he nods. She writes that done as this is very important.

Amelia asks "may I know what James was?"

Sirius nods and says "he was a stag although he always said a majestic stag."

Amelia also writes it down. She asks "was Lily also one?"

Sirius says "I don't know. I have a feeling she does as James mostly called her tiger-lily especially if she was annoyed but that can be the flower tiger-lily, not anything else. Sometimes had the feeling Lily had a feline Animagus but I cannot be sure as she never joined us with Remus. If you want to know sure ask Remus, Lily was his best female friend and also his first. If she told anyone besides James it would be Remus."

Remus says "honestly I don't know. If she had it would probably be after Harry was born and she would have not been with me during the full moon as she would stay home to care for Harry."

Andi says "that does sound like Lily. She would do everything for Harry even when she was tired one sound of Harry and she would be by him in an instance forgetting all about her being tired."

Sirius, Remus and Andi all have a smile while Amelia tries to suppress a smile, she can barely resist.

Amelia asks "can we please continue we are digressing?"

Sirius says "sorry Amy. Please continue."

Amelia sternly says "it is Amelia. Now you said you didn't kill Pettigrew but wish you did. So you think he is still alive."

Sirius says "I know he is. I saw him last June. Remus was there as was Harry, I believe his girlfriend Hermione although Remus says they aren't and Ronald Weasley. Snape was there too but if you ask he would probably tell you I am crazy or something, anything to make you not believe me."

Remus says "you shouldn't have antagonized him."

Sirius says "he was intervening and for what he did to Lily in Hogwarts he deserved it. If it was possible I love Harry more for the one thing he did to Snape."

Remus rolls his eyes.

Amelia asks "what did Harry do to Snape?"

Sirius can't suppress a big smile Amelia had rarely seen and Remus has a small smile.

Sirius says "disarmed him and blasting him against a wall in the Shrieking Shack. He didn't trust me until then as I didn't tell him about Pettigrew yet although I did tell him he was in the room because he was. Pettigrew played the rat from Ronald Weasley. I don't think they knew although Arthur should have checked when it lived quite long. The rat lived already twelve years as mostly a rat if not all the time."

Amelia nods. She doesn't like Snape especially as he is a Death Eater, he is even marked but Dumbledore kept him out of Azkaban even after a couple of Death Eaters ratted him out. Snape is a Death Eater and was with them when they committed a crime and Snape 'happily' joined in.

Amelia asks "can you tell me what happened that night in June?"

Sirius says "of course, I can."

Sirius tells Amelia everything from that night that he can remember. How he smelled the rat, that he hurt Ronald Weasley as he had no other choice as he held the rat tight, the rat trying to get away as he also knew Sirius was approaching although in his Animagus form and when Sirius talking about what happened in the Shrieking Shack he can't stop smiling especially when he mentioned Harry's name. Everyone could see the love a father has for a son in Sirius's eyes and voice.

Sirius talking about leaving the Shrieking Shack and Remus lowers his head as he knows what will come now. He was the reason Sirius almost died and that Pettigrew escaped. Sirius put his hand on Remus's shoulder for support but they both know Sirius needs to tell them. Sirius tells him about Remus changing and trying to keep him away from Harry, Hermione and Ronald. Snape returning. Sirius doesn't believe Snape would really protect Harry a Potter, Hermione a muggleborn and Ronald a Weasley brother of the twins who target mostly Slytherins where he is head of the house from remembering Snape of the marauders. Sirius has learned of the twins from Remus's stories and when he was listening in on Hogwarts students during Hogsmeade Saturday.

Sirius told he was hurt and saw Dementors approaching before waking up in the cell on top of the Dark Tower at Hogwarts and he had heard Harry was also hurt. Harry was alright but still, it crushed him as he felt like he had failed Harry again. He continued after a big drink of the butterbeer almost downing it in one go. Sirius is happy it was butterbeer and not Firewhiskey as he would have been drunk if it was.

Suddenly Sirius smiles and suggests "now I guess what you really wanted to know is how I escaped again?"

All but Remus nod as Remus already knows almost if not everything.

Sirius laughs and says "well that is all Harry and Hermione. I don't know how but they managed to get to my cell with Buckbeak….."

Amelia interrupts "the Hippogriff, the same that is outside if I am correct."

Sirius nods as does Remus. Amelia asks "I understand you flew away from Hogwarts but wouldn't they miss Buckbeak? I know Hippogriffs can disappear for days as they can fly but a Hippogriff disappearing on the same day when you escape is too much of a coincidence."

Sirius says "I would agree, but it seems you don't know. Buckbeak was sentenced to death by beheading."

Amelia asks unbelievable "what?"

Sirius ask surprised "you don't know? Remus if you would?"

Remus nods and tells Amelia the story of what happened even though she knows. She didn't know about the hearing and that Buckbeak was sentenced while Draco Malfoy barely had a scratch and if someone had the right to want Buckbeak executed it would have been Harry but of course it was Malfoy. Not that she expected Harry would want that.

Amelia wouldn't be surprised if the judges were paid off. Yes, Buckbeak attacked but only after Malfoy provoked it with something he should never do and was even instructed to not do it. There have been similar cases not exactly the same but very similar and the animal was never executed and may be replaced or advised to not come in connect with other humans for a time except the caretaker or trainer.

Amelia says "I wish I would have known. I could have vouched for Buckbeak and as head of the DMLE, wizengamot member and Regent of House Bones it would go a long way. Also if the trial would still happen I guess nobody mentioned to Hagrid he could have a law witch or law wizard with him. It is not that I ask that of you again Andi. He could have a ministry law wizard or law witch although the ministry doesn't have fully qualified law witches."

"Can you continue Sirius?"

Sirius says "sure. Like I said Harry and Hermione managed to fly to the top of the dark tower with Buckbeak. Hermione was trying different spells to open the door. She reminds me of Lily when she tried it when she tried to open a thick iron door when we did something for the Order especially when I wanted to help Hermione she said exactly the same thing except Lily as she would also say my name after wanting me quiet before she would say she was thinking."

"It became even scarier when Harry put his hand on her shoulder to stop her from pacing. James was the only one who could do it to Lily. Harry had the same look as James when he looked at Lily while Harry looked at Hermione. Anyway, Hermione used Bombarda to blast the door open which obviously worked. I thanked them and later Remus as Remus learned Harry Bombarda and he probably mentioned it to Hermione and she learned it herself."

"We flew with Buckbeak to the Courtyard. While we flew I heard Snape curse my name screaming in the night 'DAMN YOU BLACK'. The Courtyard isn't visible from the dark tower so he wouldn't see Harry, Hermione, Buckbeak and me. I talked to Harry and he wanted to go with me. I was very happy he would but I said 'one day perhaps. For some time life will be too unpredictable."

"Harry said that I was innocent and I answer that 'you know it. For now, that is enough. It seemed Hermione gave us some privacy while she watched after Buckbeak. Now Andi I would like to know why you didn't take care of Harry."

Andi says "I would if I was made guardian but apparently they made Dumbledore Harry's guardian. I suspect you got my letter. I know Dumbledore wouldn't keep Harry at Hogwarts. I thought many houses will boast if they took care of the-boy-who-lived and the House would probably let me know especially if he needed to have a medical check-up or need to be healed as I would not tell anyone and St. Mungo's would be too public for Harry. I suspected you come with Harry to be to make sure Harry was alright but you didn't. I wanted Dumbledore to give Harry to me and Ted and I would take care of him as he is my cousin."

"He refused so I thought maybe he would let him with a family he trust completely that doesn't know about me or forbade them to go with me and if he needed to be healed would use the Hogwarts matron. On the other side, he could have placed Harry with a muggle family but we also couldn't find him. We thought about Lily's muggle sister but we thought Dumbledore wouldn't do that as Lily's sister hated her and magic we all know that. I never thought Dumbledore would put Harry with Lily's muggle sister. We did search the muggle world but didn't find him or Lily's sister."

Sirius says with a smile "I know you would Andi, you dotted almost as much as Lily on Harry not to mention Dora would never let Harry out of her sight if she visited Harry. I also remember her acting like a small child when she needed to go. She didn't want to go as that mean she wouldn't see Harry."

Dora blushes as she does remember that and with her dreams, she wonders if she may be loved him then or if her magic felt it already Harry showed magic at an incredibly young age and also very powerful magic. She immediately squash the idea she loved him or her magic felt it as he is too young and her cousin by Merlin's sake.

"Unfortunately, Dumbledore did send Harry to Lily's muggle sister. Lily talked about her sister and until Lily came home with James they didn't hate each other as much as in later years. Petunia was not happy with James as a wizard but Petunia start to hate magic as it was an abomination and that only increased after Lily's parents were murdered by Death Eaters. Fortunately, they weren't tortured too much so maybe they didn't know it was Lily's parents or it was an initiation and they could stay too long."

Everyone except Remus who can barely control his werewolf to go to Hogwarts and kill Dumbledore for what Dumbledore made happen to Harry intentionally or not. Remus knows it can't be a happy childhood. Harry was only a bit thin and small for his age but that is all. He will have a big growth spurt although he is sure both Lily and James were taller at the same age and he must agree with Madam Malkin Harry isn't taller than a 'tall' first year.

After a few minutes, Sirius says "as I can't lie, Andi. I can honestly say that Dumbledore lied to you. Dumbledore wasn't even on the list of guardians in James and Lily's will. I was there as was Dumbledore much to James and Lily's dismay but as they still respected him at that time they let him stay. Andi, you and Ted were the third people on the list of Guardians after me and the Longbottoms."

"Oh yes, as I can't lie. Amy…. Amelia, I fully believe that Bellatrix didn't voluntarily attack the Longbottoms and rather she was controlled. She couldn't disobey but her cries for forgiveness make me think she was conscious the whole time, but couldn't control her body and voice."

"I don't know what was used, but it wasn't the Imperius curse I think or our Black training managed to keep our wits but someone with enough power was able to control her. There is a chance they used more than one way to control her which weakened any defences she had. I never completed the training as had Andi as we were disowned before we could….. well I actually wasn't but didn't go home after I ran away and stayed with James and his parents until Auror training. For a couple of months not even a year, James and I lived together in an apartment before we went back after the Death Eaters seem to find out where we lived as they attacked our apartment when we both weren't home at the moment. I took an extra shift while James and Lily had dinner with James's parents."

Amelia says "even if that is true Sirius I can do nothing about it. As you are Lord Black and a fugitive you can't talk, on her behalf. If Harry wears the Heir ring if you make him your Heir or let him talk as Heir of House Potter, he can talk for her but not on her behalf. It would probably not do much, although many families of the light faction would listen to him as the-boy-who-lived. However, you need Augusta's support otherwise you will not succeed. If the Longbottom Regent accept Harry talking for Bellatrix and not against her the light families will support you and Augusta. Most of the neutral families will support you especially if you can get Jacob Greengrass to support Harry regarding Bellatrix."

Sirius can't control himself and says "oh, that won't be a problem."

Sirius immediately put his hand on her mouth. He hoped none didn't hear him, however, he immediately knows they do especially Amelia and Andi as their eyes narrow. Ted and Dora just look surprised and want to know why. Dora as Auror and during training was in the wizengamot chambers and see the politics. She doesn't know for sure but she is almost sure there have been some houses betraying others even if they first pledge their support. Dora isn't sure if it happened, but she thinks it does if she sees Lords and Ladies watching others or looking mad.

Ted has also been in the wizengamot chambers although the last time it quite some time ago. He was only there for a high profile case or when one House of the Great Alliances need to have his help to pass laws that didn't work against other laws and the same when they were against a law and they needed him to show why the law shouldn't or couldn't be passed with the evidence why if that means laws or evidence that needs Ted as law wizard. Andi was in the wizengamot for Hagrid and she could see the politics being played even when Hagrid was clearly innocent and that was the first time in a very long time for Andi to be in front of the wizengamot.

Amelia and Andi narrow their eyes in anger and Amelia almost growls "what do you mean Sirius? I want the truthful answer right now."

Remus palms his face while shaking his head. Sirius tries to resist. He knows if he asks his own question or comment he will not answer her. Sirius almost pleads "please Amelia don't let me answer that. Please ask anything else, I will answer that."

Amelia needs to know more so decides to ask "Fine, but we aren't done about this point. I want to know how did you escape out of Azkaban?"

Sirius says "well that was actually the easy part. After I found out that Pettigrew was alive I was determined as he was close to Harry he could hurt him. I didn't eat the disgusting grab what is called food in Azkaban for a couple of days. I know if you don't eat it you will lose weight quite fast. I learned that in Auror training."

"Anyway, it took a couple of days before I was thin enough. I changed into my Animagus for and was thin enough to walk between the bars. The Dementors don't have eyes and they cannot sense animals or only barely I just entered cells when the Dementors came as the prisoners will mask my presence. If they went passed my cell and they can't feel me they will think I am dead and they don't care about that and just continue their patrol. As I also stayed as the Grimm a lot in my cell unless the guards came as they could see."

"As a dog, the Dementors probably thought I was losing my mind, but the Dementors have less to no effect on animals and that includes Animagus. I managed to get out of the heavily guarded floor. The medium was a bit tricky as most prisoners didn't lose their minds 'completely' and would surely notice if I enter the room. As it was night mostly tried to sleep, so I could use that. I barely succeeded but protecting Harry was too important to be stopped. The lowest security floor was mostly to move quickly as there are almost no Dementors, and most wizards and witches are still completely sane. Also, the human guards do patrol there although I suspected they don't do it at night and it seems I was correct. In my Animagus form, I could somewhat easily slip passed them."

"I went to a point not far from the dock and jumped in the water. I know the route the ferry take and I managed to get to shore not too far from the dock but far enough to not be noticed. I had no chance but to turn back because of exhaustion. I tried to mask my pad prints and my footprints to prevent any smart Auror to know I was an Animagus and start making my way inland."

"I tried to find Harry. I tried to let my magic guide me and it worked it let me to Surrey. I wanted to get to him to warn him or try to make a plan to get me declared innocent. I just saw him, but apparently, I scared him as he fell over and that made the Knight bus appear. I saw him a few times before Hogwarts in Diagon Alley, but the Weasleys didn't show until the last few days. I decide to first get the rat we call Wormtail before showing myself. Before Hogwarts, I had no chance but in Hogwarts, I knew I would."

Amelia asks "how did you plan to get into Hogwarts or maybe better said how did you manage?"

Sirius says "that is easy. There are some secret passageways to enter and leave Hogwarts. Prongs, Moony and I found them and learned their passwords that don't seem to change. Also, we made a map, we lost thanks to Wormtail when he used it in our last year, to make sure we didn't get caught…."

Remus says "Sirius stop. Amelia while I know this is important and I trust you all. I don't think this is important. He answered your question about how he entered."

Amelia wanted to know more about the map, but he did answer. Amelia says "for now I accept. However, where did the passageways go?"

Sirius says "you have about seven we found although a few collapsed or were close to collapse. There is one under the Whomping Willow that leads to the Shrieking Shack, one that leads to the basement of Honeydukes and one that leads you to not far from the caves overlooking Hogsmeade."

Amelia looks surprised and says "that is how you get passed the Dementors and even the wards."

Sirius nods and says "indeed and some of the passageways even go straight into Hogwarts castle as the one under the Whomping Willow leads you to the Hogwarts ground. There are even some corridors in the castle that are barely used but can move you very quickly from the ground floor to a couple of floors up without using the giant staircase."

Remus says "we can tell you about the map another time like what the map contains. You must never forget that the map never lies."

Everybody looks curious. Suddenly Amelia asks "Sirius, did you really love me or were you just toying with me?"

Sirius tries to think of a response but he couldn't think of anything before the Veritaserum makes him say "yes, I love you will all my heart. I did then and still do to this day. Oh, bloody hell."

Amelia can't suppress her big smile. She is happy that Sirius still loves her as she knows she does.

Amelia needs to know. She asks "Sirius if I say that I also love you and that we were stupid to wait until you-know-who was gone…."

Sirius says "I agree we were too stupid. We should have followed James and Lily's example to at least be together."

Amelia nods and says "that we were, but I wasn't done. Like I said and that we were stupid to wait until you-know-who was gone would you give this old woman a chance to …."

Sirius smiles and says "Gryffindor charge forward. You are not that old Amelia and if you would have me I am more than happy to start what we should have done as James and Lily did."

Andi says "Amelia I am happy for you if you can be happy with the mutt, but I need to examine him first as he still looks to suffer from malnourishment and see if Azkaban didn't do too much lasting damage."

Remus palms his head again before shaking again. Ted stands up to get more drinks not wanting to hear more. Kingsley while not being here as an Auror, he is still a bit uncomfortable as Amelia is still his boss. His Auror training manages him to not show it and use his friendly Auror face. Dora seems to be thinking about something else with a smile on her face.

Sirius says "I am fine Andi."

Andi doesn't look convinced but she has her wand ready to stun him if he tries to leave before she can examine him and then she can ask Remus to examine him too although he looks much healthier than Sirius.

Amelia can't get the smile off her face but didn't forget her earlier question. She asks "now Sirius I want to know why you think you can get Jacob's support without any problem? I know Jacob is not following others but still, that doesn't mean he is easy to convince and speaking for Bellatrix is a very risky move for Harry and House Potter. If he talks and somehow Bellatrix gets released by the ministry Harry is responsible."

Sirius decide that it would come out sooner or later. He says "not if Harry goes before the wizengamot as Heir of House Black on Lord Black's request. If he states that clearly the Lord of House Black becomes responsible for Bellatrix and if I don't get recognized as Lord Black House Black may lose a big part of his money, but we have more than enough."

Amelia nods and says "alright, but now why won't Jacob be a problem?"

Sirius says "well, he was almost part of the great alliance together with House Davis."

Amelia says disappointed "Sirius, the Great Alliance fell apart after James and Lily were killed and the Longbottom's attacked. Many were scared that the Great Alliance were targeted even before James and Lily were attacked as my brother and sister-in-law were killed. When the Longbottom's were attacked after You-Know-Who was gone there was no one to lead. Augusta didn't have the authority Frank had and she wasn't present as she needed to take care of Neville. I didn't see it but I heard she wanted to destroy the ministry and especially the Auror office and was ready to kill Barty Crouch Sr. as Director of the DMLE and waited too long to act. I think having him demoted was to placate Augusta a bit. I didn't attain director of the DMLE until the summer of 1991 as I worked hard all for Susan."

"Some others try to lead but nobody trusted the other houses enough or had other ideas on important matters that the Great Alliance fell apart the first meeting after James and Lily's death and the attack on the Longbottom. I guess you don't know about the plan House Potter and House Longbottom the plan they want to set up in motion or was already put in motion."

Sirius says "no, James and I never talked about the Great Alliance as long as my father didn't want to work together. I think my father wanted to at least work on some things together but my ... mother was probably against it. My mother hated the Potters as they had muggleborns in their ancestry just like Lily and she hated my cousin Dorea Black with a vengeance, probably increased if that was possible after she married Charlus Potter, James's father and Harry's grandfather."

Amelia says "I suspected that much. House Potter and House Longbottom didn't tell the plans before they were ready to set in motion to see if we all agreed. If it was time-sensitive or the plans were set in motion by something they didn't have control over they would tell us. I needed they would tell us why they didn't tell before."

"Anyway, the inner struggle, distrust and old rivalries came back when we lost House Potter and House Longbottom. James after Charlus what was only a few times and Frank were the only ones who could stop the inner struggle, the distrust and old rivalries to weaken the Great Alliance. Without them, it was just a matter of time and it even surprised me how soon it happened. Also, quite a couple were afraid as Death Eaters were still at large and Alice and Frank were attacked even after You-Know-Who was defeated."

"Only a couple of houses mostly with no voice in the wizengamot stayed loyal to the Great Alliance. Only a few houses with voices in the wizengamot including House Bones tried to search for Harry. Dumbledore showed a document in front of the wizengamot that he was Harry's guardian after you were captured and should have a trial. Soon when you were in Azkaban Dumbledore made his guardianship permanent as much as he could by law. That means until his majority or emancipation he will be Harry's guardian or at least magical guardian as he lives with muggles."

"I offered to take him and I even know Madam Longbottom after she had calmed down wanted to take him. She mentioned to me alone until recently that Alice was Harry's godmother. The last time Sarah Abbot was with me was when she mentioned it again. Augusta tried to remake the Great Alliance but without House Potter, nobody returned and we only had the Houses that remained. We were almost powerless now as a couple of Houses lost their seat because of different events or laws. I am certain the laws were approved as those who voted believed in the laws, wanted to stick it to the weakened Great Alliance or had problems with the houses it affected."

"The houses that weren't loyal wouldn't want to be part anymore because they thought the attack of the Potters and Longbottoms was because of the Great Alliance. I don't know if it really is, but anyway they were afraid on just waited to be able to pull out. I think some regret as some of the unloyal houses still support me on almost everything and certainly on the important things even though they normally were against those things or at least were not certain."

"If the Great Alliance be reformed I think the houses that didn't stay loyal out of fear or any other reasons will regret the day they left the Great Alliance especially if Neville and Harry are like their fathers. I will not tell too much as I will be the whole night to tell you everything I have witnessed and learned from my father when the taught my brother and me about the Great Alliance. I think in time we will need to discuss this but not now."

Kingsley says "while this is very interesting Amelia. I think you can better ask Sirius questions before the Veritaserum is completely gone as I don't think Andi would allow more drops."

Andi says "Indeed. Four drops in his state can already be excessive but allowed it in my position as the only Mediwitch present."

Amelia says "I guess you are right and like I said we can discuss it at a later time."

Amelia looks at Sirius and says "now Sirius I want a true answer why will Jacob Greengrass not be a problem and the way you said it isn't just if Harry talks about Bellatrix."

Sirius needs to gulp as he has seen those eyes before. Also, he feels he still needs to tell the truth because the Veritaserum is still active and works in his weakened state.

Sirius says "Amy, as it seems really important that you know I will not lie to you. I admit I still feel the Veritaserum so I will answer I just wanted you to know that I will not lie if it is this important. I just hope you won't be mad at me although it isn't completely my fault, are you sure you want to know?"

Amelia doesn't want to wait anymore. She needs to know. Amelia only nods.

Sirius sighs before he says "fine. I guess you know about Harry and Susan's marriage contract that is for House Bones, right?"

Amelia nods again but thinks she knows where Sirius is going. All seem the know except Tonks as she looks confused why Sirius brings that up.

Sirius sighs and says "well here goes. Harry is also betrothed to Daphne for House Greengrass and the youngest daughter Astoria for House Black. I will admit I did sign Daphne's contract for Harry while I knew about Susan's marriage contract. I didn't read it when I signed it as there were a lot of documents I needed to sign and while I tried to keep my attention unless I couldn't. I signed Daphne's marriage contract that both Jacob and Isabel signed at the end of a very big stack of documents. As I am Harry's rightful guardian as I was never convicted magic accepted my signature."

"And before you ask, Harry shouldn't know at this time and I think he also doesn't know about his marriage contract to Susan. I teased that Hermione Granger was Harry's girlfriend. He didn't but never mentioned he was already betrothed what I suspect he will do if he knew, also as he is muggle raised I don't think he knows about the law that also him to have more than one wife for House Potter and the custom regarding Heiress that have no brother and need to continue their line with an Heir who has his own House and wizengamot seat."

"Astoria wasn't my fault. Many generations ago House Greengrass owned House Black a debt, as they could pay they agreed that a daughter of House Greengrass will marry Heir Black. To not let House Greengrass die out or to be temporally unavailable it can only a daughter if she has a brother or an older sister so they can continue House Greengrass especially as most pureblood Houses have one child. My house was different to make a change that pureblood will become larger than the muggleborn like most of my family saw as a menace."

"I cannot break it and as I made Harry my heir, he will remain it especially if he marries Astoria and that will also make any attempt by Lucy and his spawn unsuccessful. This will answer the question from you Andi in your letter. Jacob sends the message he needs to talk to me. I don't think he knows I am Harry's rightful guardian or that I am Lord Black as I remembered my mother telling everyone that wanted to know that I was disowned but my father never made it official if he wanted to as he was much more tolerated than my mother. They were cousins but they are very different, very much in beliefs taught to all of us from a very young age. Most believe but like Andi and me, we learned the truth in Hogwarts and certainly not by Dumbledore although I was already wondering before Hogwarts especially when I met Lily on the first ride to Hogwarts and we became housemates much to her dismay."

Remus asks "if this is everything Amelia, I think Sirius should take the antidote. It has been almost 15 minutes. Any longer and the potion can hurt Sirius right Andi?"

Andi says "yes, there have been cases that more than 10 minutes was even difficult."

Amelia nods and says "I guess as I now know enough. Sirius, is there anything else I should know?"

Sirius says "not that I can think of although there are some things you, Andi, Alice and Lily don't know about Harry what he did before the attack."

Amelia and Andi look surprised. Tonks seems to hear Harry's name and focuses on Sirius.

Remus says "that isn't necessary to use the Veritaserum on."

Amelia says "that is right, but I still want to know it."

Andi says "I want to know too."

Sirius says "sorry, but we cannot tell you. We promised James not to say anything. You don't have to worry it was just so powerful magic and Lily at least knows one thing. You two should know when Harry apparate in Lily's arms while she was under heavy wards in St. Mungo and Harry apparate in her arms like nothing as he wanted his mother at that moment."

Remus says "indeed. We were afraid of what happened and where Harry was. Until we searched the whole house we wanted to start a search Lily let us know Harry was with her. She would keep him with her until she come home after her shift."

When Remus and Sirius stopped talking Amelia says "fine I will not ask you to break your promise to James and as it isn't important as to why you were in Azkaban without a trial I don't need to know … right now. Kingsley gives him the antidote."

Kingsley nod while Amelia folds the parchments with her notes and makes three copies putting every parchment in a different pocket of her robe on one in her clothes beneath her robe.

After Kingsley fed Sirius the antidote and took his place again Amelia says "there is just one last thing. If you are healthy enough Sirius I want to see your Animagus form."

Sirius says "of course, my dear lady."

Sirius stands up and walks to Amelia. A few steps away he stops and he changes fast into a big black dog.

Remus says "this is Padfoot."

Padfoot walk towards Amelia. When he reaches Amelia he happily barks. Amelia can't help it to pet Padfoot who barks happily before licking her hand.

She says "stop that Sirius."

Padfoot turns back to Sirius and says "sorry Amy. While I still have my own mind some instincts are too strong like licking your hand although I would have probably also done it on my own."

Andi says "no that everything is done, I will make a small lunch. Dora, could you help me? Ted why don't you show Sirius and Remus the basements where we got what they ask so they can feed Buckbeak in the backyard. Don't forget to bow and only approach if he does it."

Kingsley says "I would like to help Ted, Sirius and Remus. I will also make sure Ted and I will do that Andi."

Amelia says "Andi if you need help I can help you too. It had been a long time since I made my own lunch but I think I can help with easy things. Also, I think after lunch you and Tonks also better go to see Buckbeak and make sure you bow until he does so he also accepts you two."

Andi says "I guess that is a good idea especially if Buckbeak stays here for a while."

Amelia says "I thought you would allow Sirius and Remus to stay here. Make sure Sirius isn't seen and he goes outside only as Padfoot. I guess the backyard has some wards up?"

Andi nods and says "yeah, we strengthen them when we knew Sirius and Remus would come. No muggle should be able to look in the backyard and if they manage from above we cast wards to make it like an ordinary muggle backyard that is well kept with no sign of small children as we only have Dora …. for now, until she has grandchildren it doesn't need to be changed. Also, there will be no sign of Buckbeak even if they look right at him. The sound Buckbeak make is more difficult, so we decided to go for a silencing ward. Fortunately, Buckbeak's food is also sold in the muggle world and is quite common for different kinds of animals."

Amelia nods before she says that they should better start on lunch.

1st October 1994, Tonks residence, Dartford

It is after lunch when Amelia says "Sirius how soon will you send Jacob and Isabel a letter?"

Sirius says "well I was thinking today or tomorrow only I don't have an owl. I was asking if Andi has an owl now or I would ask Andi, Ted or Remus to go to the post office or buy an owl in Diagon Alley."

Amelia wanted to say when there were taps at the window. They look and see two very colourful birds. Sirius smiles when Remus says "you didn't, did you Padfoot?"

Sirius says "well Moony I did say I would come back for them."

Amelia asks "what are they?"

Tonks opens the window for the birds to jump to the kitchen table.

Sirius says "that are birds I used as the island I was one didn't have owls and some that looked like owls would most probably doesn't reach England. I used these birds to send Harry letters. It is a male and female bird. If I am correct they are Toucans."

Remus says "I must say that these Toucans are different from the normal Toucans. These Toucans as you can see are quite large. They have the size of an adult Phoenix and have the colours of Phoenixes with black spots to show that they are Toucans. I think they are hybrids. We saw them fly and they fly very fast and can for a long time which isn't normal for normal Toucans maybe because even though they have beaks that look smaller on the phoenix-size body. Normal Toucans have beaks that are almost 50% of their whole body which clearly isn't the way with these Toucans."

"Just be happy he used these and not the Peregrine falcon. They were more than happy, but Padfoot wanted to let Harry know where he was and taught that Hermione would figure out which bird it was and where we would be. It was also safe as most of the ministry doesn't know muggle birds and certainly doesn't know where they are from that is also the only reason I agreed. Also, most ministry personnel will only look out for owls and the Toucans certainly aren't also they may look like phoenixes but not with the beak so no wizard or witch will pay much attention to them."

Sirius says "yes, yes but I still think we should have brought beside these birds the Toucans. The Peregrine falcons are also male and female they are even faster than these Toucans. I think they are even faster than most if not all owls although I don't know if they are faster than Gringotts eagles."

Amelia says "it could be a good idea to bring the falcons too as after the last Goblin rebellion and the last wizard (family) breeder of eagles died Gringotts are the only ones allowed to use eagles and breed them, not counting those in the wild as they are not allowed to be captured, but as you cannot do much with them or get a good profit most criminals do not care about them. The falcons could rival the eagles with speed although Gringotts only use eagles for important and very wealthy clients."

Almost like they waited for it two Peregrine falcons fly through the window and land beside the Toucans. They seem to say something to each other but just remain standing at the table. The birds stood between Remus and Sirius on the table looking at the other four humans.

Amelia says "well it looks like you can use one of them but I think using one of the falcons would be a better idea as Jacob and Isabel aren't stupid and may suspect you being Lord Black from the tropical birds as you are supposedly not in England."

Remus says "I think Amelia is right Sirius. I remember Isabel. She was a Ravenclaw and very close to Lily."

Sirius says "yeah, I remember. She even hexed me once for pranking Jacob which went a bit too far although the prank was for the dark Slytherins who we were sure were and are still Death Eaters. It was in the last year of Hogwarts. James got screamed at by Lily although a few seconds later they were snogging. I got hexed and was until Professor McGonagall came to punish us but even she had a smile or she smiled for seeing me like that. Also, that reminds me who you got screamed at by, who was it again ….. oh yes Aurora and Bathsheda and Septima although Septima was impressed as she knew you were the one to do the Arithmancy for our prank."

After all three names, Remus was as red as Amelia's crimson red hair. Sirius can't suppress a smile that is his marauder smile that he always had when a prank went how it was supposed to happen or was funny if it didn't work how it was supposed to go. He expected Remus would blush at the women's names. They were all in the same year as him and mostly thanks to Lily he became also friends with them and from his fourth year, he found all three very attractive. He was even surprised last year all three weren't afraid of him being a werewolf when they needed to take over some of his classes.

Aurora had a look she already knew. He isn't surprised as she is the astronomy teacher so she would have figured it out if not during Hogwarts certainly during her apprenticeship. He doesn't know if Bathsheda and/or Septima found out earlier or have their suspicion but they just give him a smile when it was said the first night back in Hogwarts during the start of the year teacher meeting, when he was introduced or better said reintroduced and Dumbledore told him of his like James and Sirius would say, furry problem what Lily quickly adopted.

Ted says "Sirius and Remus, I have never seen the colourful birds before especially not that large and I think you both are right and have something that resembles Toucans. However, if they are hybrids with Phoenixes they can be seen as a new breed especially as they look very different from any of the species it is not like half-cats and half-kneazles as they are similar in appearance or at least not enough to see as a new breed while the birds are."

"As a law wizard, I advise you to be the first to register the new breed of birds as that will also allow no one to make the breed their own and breed this kind of birds and also not use them unless you approve and allow it. The animals seem strong that you can use it for very important letters when the ministry starts to intercept owls also as you said before until it is known magical won't give a second glance to the new breed."

Remus says "I can understand Ted and you are probably right. To be honest, I was thinking about a name saying they are Toucans with Phoenix appearance is a mouth full and takes quite some time. My most recent though and think it sounds alright is calling the new breed the Scarlett call bird."

Sirius says "it sounds good Remus for the legal side at least. I think we should also call the birds different for family,"

Amelia says "I think you can work the legal side out later. Now, Sirius are you planning to let Harry know that you are back in England or Remus do you?"

Sirius says "well, I would but I want to wait a few days until I send Jacob and Isabel a letter for the meeting they request."

Amelia nods and says "maybe that is better, especially because the marriage contracts. I think it would be better if I am present as then I can also tell them that Susan also has a marriage contract with Harry which is unbreakable unless under very specific conditions. Also over Harry's possible wives for House Potter and also that you are innocent. Also Remus and Sirius I have a question regarding Harry especially you Remus."

Sirius and Remus look confused but agree.

Amelia says "I met Harry after his second year and also have seen him last summer. I didn't think too much about the first time but last summer I saw he was still quite small and thin maybe a bit too thin. James was also thin as was Lily so that doesn't really worry but both James and Lily were certainly taller than Harry and that is worrying especially as the first time I met him was because he inflated his aunt, the sister of his uncle."

Remus looks and Sirius. Sirius nods.

Remus says "to be honest Amelia I watched him through the year and Sirius in the short time he had we both have the same thought. It is also partially the reason we decide to come here. Sirius still needs medical care and Andi is a Mediwitch. We also wanted her to talk about Harry and if she has something that can Harry even if he hasn't seen her as I am afraid Dumbledore keeps a very close eye on Harry I don't think she will be able to see him before Sirius becomes his guardian, we have one of the senior Professors on our side or we get Gringotts to help us what will never happen as Goblins never take sides involving wizards unless they can take advantage to side with one."

Andi says "there isn't much I can do without examining Harry but I got maybe a potion or two in my medical bag in status that should help Harry if he isn't in complete health."

Remus asks "will it hurt Harry if he is completely healthy?"

Andi says "not really it will more be a painful flushing potion, but on the other hand, most adolescents aren't completely healthy or have at least something to get better health in. However, if Harry really needs it he will need to eat a lot to give the potion at least some potions to work on otherwise the potion will use his magical power to improve. It will not make him weaker but it can have him feel magically drained until the potion leaves his body which would at least take a couple of days at most. The potion is only for immediate help and if possible should first make sure he eats enough although I don't think in Hogwarts that would be a problem."

"If Harry isn't completely healthy and if I understand correctly you think his growth is stunted and you think he is malnourished, right?"

Amelia, Sirius and after a couple of seconds Remus nod that they think he is. Andi grabs her hand and waves it. Two vails flow into the room. The land on the table. One vail in front of Sirius and the other in front of Remus.

Andi says "Remus the one in front of you is for Harry. Sirius, there is one for you too but I think I can better examine you first."

Sirius and Remus nod. Sirius says "Andi you could give Harry's potion to me too."

Andi says "no as you need to tell Harry to eat more than he normally does and I think in the excitement you may forget to tell them. While I expect Remus to be just excited he will remember and that also it the change that you are still wanted Remus is not and I will not let you leave for something like this. The meeting with the Greengrasses is needed visiting Harry is not a priority for you right now, but if you get healthy in the coming weeks and months maybe around Christmas I allow you to go see him for a little bit, but not too long."

Sirius says "Andi, you can't stop me from leaving. I am Lord Black."

Sirius stands up and Andi even faster than the Aurors has Sirius bound in his chair.

Andi says "I am not of House Black anymore Sirius. Don't forget I was disowned and also I can as I am your Mediwitch. Don't you agree, Amelia?"

Amelia nods still surprised at how fast Andi is with her wand although Andi had already drawn her wand.

Sirius says "oh come on Andi."

Andi ignores him.

Amelia asks "I think we need some parchment, quill and ink. Harry should get the potion soon and Sirius said he needs to send the Greengrasses a letter."

Andi nods and asks "Ted can you get it?"

Ted nods. He leaves and returns within two minutes with two quills and two large rolls of parchment with two full bottles of ink floating behind him.

Andi says "I will release you Sirius but I am warning you. You cannot apparate from here and if you try to run I will still catch you."

Sirius knows that in his current state with no wand and Andi clearly not being the only one he can't even get close to the ward line and get past it to apparate out.

Sirius gets one parchment role, one quill and one ink pot in front of him before he is released. The others are placed before Remus. Remus looks confused.

Andi says "Remus it is better for now if you write to Harry as we don't know if Dumbledore reads Harry's mail."

Remus says "I don't think from Hedwig but as we probably need to use one of ours I guess he may be able to. I will meet him I need to check something of him too for tracking charms."

Amelia says "that is a good idea Remus, but I will check everything on tracking charms."

Remus shakes his head and says "will I would love to do that, but I can't or at least not yet. If there are tracking charms on his clothes and such I need to remove them all at once, but the other I think that has a tracking charm I am sure I can remove it without Dumbledore's notice."

Amelia says "I guess you are right, I will think of a way for me or Kingsley to get inside Hogwarts and be able to go with Harry to remove all. Kingsley is an old Gryffindor so he will probably have more chance than me but we will talk about this at another time. First Harry needs the potion that should help him without Andi examining him and Sirius need to send a letter and take responsibility for something that is partly his fault and make sure everything will be alright for his ward, Harry Potter."

"Oh yes, that reminds me, Sirius. Do you know why Harry isn't wearing the Heir Potter ring?"

Sirius says "I don't know but if I must guess…. Dumbledore."

Andi says "it is a good guess. We need Harry to get to Gringotts for him to get the Heir Potter ring and I guess the Heir Black ring too."

Ted asks "but how? Harry can only get the Heir Potter ring as there is no Lord Potter who can bring him the ring even if the reason is that Harry is in Hogwarts and therefore unavailable to take it, however, that is seen as a big offence, almost a disgrace as it seems like Harry won't take the time from Goblins and Gringotts. Even if do that Sirius as his guardian can't do it as he isn't from House Potter."

Sirius says "we may ask Professor McGonagall to help. I don't think she will really believe I would betray James and Lily despite what the story is supposed to be. Also, the next Hogsmeade trip should be in two weeks from now. We can ask Professor McGonagall to take Harry to Diagon Alley or if she isn't sure one of us can bring Harry to Diagon Alley."

Remus asks "are you sure Padfoot? I mean I trust Harry and all, but I doubt he is trained in how and Heir should act. As long as he doesn't wear his Heir ring it shouldn't matter too much. Also, I don't think Harry has learned Occlumency enough yet to resist Dumbledore or Snape."

Sirius nods and with a big smile says "I am sure Moony. Harry is a Potter and let's be honest James also was rarely the good 'pureblood' Heir of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter and House Potter is still respected by many and feared by most. Well, mostly dark houses or if you endanger House Potter. Maybe it is time I choose proxies from House Potter and House Peverell's seats. Also, I clearly told Harry not to look in the eyes of Dumbledore and Snape. Don't forget I send him books and try to persuade him to first learn Occlumency how far he can on his own. I think with Harry's power and basic knowledge of Occlumency they should not be able to look in his mind without grabbing their wand."

"Also, I thought if Jacob and Isabel believe me maybe while at school Daphne as betroth can give Harry etiquette lessons what also can bring them together as friends. I think we all know what friendship can turn into and if Harry is anything like James even if he annoys Daphne she will come to love him just like it happened with Lily although there were more things, there will only be two differences. The first difference is Harry may not be in love with Daphne already while James surely was with Lily and second Harry already has three betroths and James didn't have any. Harry has none to become Lady Potter which will also mean Harry will get more wives than the three wives he already has."

Amelia says "I can't believe I am going to say this but it is actually a good idea especially asking Jacob and Isabel to have Daphne teach Harry what Harry needs. Harry is a nice young man on his own but as we all should know being nice is only a very small part of the wizarding world etiquettes especially pureblood etiquettes where being nice is almost of no part although Harry is very well civilized and that is almost all pureblood etiquettes is about especially with Lord of Houses you don't like."

Sirius and Amelia are both heads of their House, although Amelia is temporary, a blond long-haired man with a cane came to both their mind. Amelia also imagine a smile that made her blood boil from anger. It took quite a lot of time before she manage to not have the feeling of drawing her wand and cursing the hell out of him.

Amelia takes a few big breaths and says "Sirius and Remus I think you can better draft the letters and send them out as soon as possible."

Sirius and Remus nod and both took the quill, dip them in the ink bottle and start writing.

Almost fifteen minutes later Sirius and Remus are done. Remus cast a spell on the letter and asks "should I also ask Pro….. Minerva to come at the same time?"

Everyone seems to think when Andi says "I think that is best but I also want to be present, when did you write to Harry to meet up?"

Remus says "on that is midnight from Wednesday until Thursday the 6th of October."

Andi says "Remus, that is a school night. Why did you do that?"

Sirius laughs and says "Andi if you really think that Harry would mind you clearly forgot who his father was and I know he was out after curfew a lot. Later I learned Lily was too although not as much as James, Remus and me….. and the rat."

Andi says "fine, but if Harry gets tired of this Remus I will get you back. I want to be with you but I can't as I have night duty that night, but I will see him on the 15th in Diagon Alley."

Sirius smile and says "I expected nothing less and I did want to ask Andi if you want to be Harry's guardian until I am completely healthy and I can legally take my place again what can't happen until I have a trial to prove my innocence."

Andi has happy tears and says "I would love to be Harry's guardian. I have really missed him. I know Ted liked him too and that is not mentioning how much Nymphadora missed him."

Dora screams "DON'T CALL ME THAT."

Andi ignores her scream and looks at Ted. Ted says "Of course Andi, I would love to have him here, especially after Remus, Sirius and Amelia's concerns. If he wants I can legally punish his muggle relatives. Also, he seem to like me enough when he was a baby."

Sirius says "then we will need to go to Gringotts. Moony you will tell Harry he needs to be ready on Hogsmeade Saturday alright? Maybe meet at the Shrieking Shack?"

Remus nods and says "I will, Padfoot. Don't worry about it."

Amelia asks "Sirius, show me the letter you have written to Jacob and Isabel."

Sirius knows that Amelia wants to make sure he didn't reveal his identity and doesn't forget she will also be there. Amelia gives a few points to improve and to show he is really a Lord writing a letter. Sirius follows Amelia's instructions. Amelia reads it again and seems to find it acceptable.

Sirius places the letter on the table before one of the falcons. Remus wants to put both letters on the other falcon when they hear a rapid sound at the window. Everyone looked but Amelia should have known. At the window sits Hedwig rapidly moves her beak to the window.

Tonks opens the window and Hedwig seems something that sounds like she is grateful. Hedwig flies to the table and starts to hoot and size up the other birds. Hedwig is a little taller than the falcons and smaller than the Phoenix/ Toucan hybrid called Scarlet Call Bird.

When Remus again tries to give Harry's letter to a falcon Hedwig hoots loudly and angry glares at Remus. Remus gives the letter to the falcon. The falcon grabs it in its beak. The falcon walks toward Hedwig and put the letter down. The falcon bows and returns to its space beside the other falcon. Hedwig hoots something that sounds approving. She grabs the letter in her beak and flies out of the window.

Sirius with a big smile says "well you don't see that every day."

Tonks starts laughing. Ted has a smile. Kingsley keeps his Auror mask on while Remus, Andi and Amelia roll their eyes.

Remus says "oh well. It may even be better if Hedwig took Harry's letter we can use one of the falcons to deliver a letter to Professor McGonagall which decreases the chance anyone including Dumbledore will think that Harry's letter and Minerva's letter are connected."

Sirius says "and then the other falcon would deliver the letter to Jacob and Isabel and that means the Scarlet Call birds will stay here. I think we better give them a name. Why don't we call them Zeus and Hera?"

For the first time, they all seem to agree and the Scarlett Call birds seem to be happy with the name.

Remus asks "why don't we use a name from the Norse mythology as you have chosen for Greek Mythology?"

Sirius asks "I chose those names as Zeus has something that looks like lighting on his wings. For the falcons do you have an idea?"

Remus says "in fact I do. What about Freya and Freyr, they are not husband and wife like Zeus and Hera but they are brother and sister. As they both seem to like each other and I think before long they will have hatchlings. I thought naming them after the goddess of love, fertility and beauty and the god of virility, prosperity and pleasant weather conditions sounds good."

Amelia says "I think it sounds good Remus."

Andi says "indeed."

Sirius says "well it seems decided if the falcons are alright with it."

The falcons look at each other and after almost a minute they nod or at least it looks like a nod.

Sirius says "that is great. So who do we send to Hogwarts and who to Jacob and Isabel."

Amelia says "I would send Freya to Jacob and Isabel and Freyr to Hogwarts."

Sirius looks at the falcons and the falcons wait for the letter each one needs to carry. It is clear who is Freya and who is Freyr. The male falcon is a bit smaller and shorter than the female but it makes it faster and more agile than the female. The Scarlet call bird has another difference as the beak of the male is noticeable larger, harder and stronger than the beak of the female.

Sirius says "alright Freya and Freyr. Freya, I would like if you to give it to Jacob Greengrass and Freyr you need to give it to Professor McGonagall. Freya waits for a response. Freyr you don't have to unless she asks for it."

They give Freya and Freyr the letter and they leave through the window. One went the same way as Hedwig (to the north) while the other went a little more to the east towards Wales.

Let's end here for now. In the next chapter, we see Hermione talking with Katie regarding Harry. Also, we see the contents of the three letters. We will see Remus meet Harry and Professor McGonagall and if possible at least see a couple of people arrive as Greengrass manor.
