It's early in the morning, and a new day is ahead for everyone at East High. Sharpay walked through the big front doors and went upstairs to her locker, wanting the day to pass by quickly. She placed her stuff in her locker and closed it, to see Zeke back in his usual spot like yesterday, and the day before.

"Good morning, Sharpay!"

"...Good morning, Zeke."

"What's wrong?"

"I just don't feel like being here today."

"Then why did you come?"

"My parents forced me to come. They usually let me stay home if I didn't feel like coming so I don't know why they forced me this time."

"Why don't you want to be here?"

"An upcoming show just came out and the first episode aired right after I left. I wanted to stay so I could watch that and just not care about school."

"Oh."

"So yeah, that's why. Now, can you move?"

Sharpay grabbed her books and slammed her locker shut, leaving Zeke hesitant to interact with her. He just moved on with his day and went to homeroom.

It was lunch but Sharpay wasn't in the lunchroom. Instead, she was upstairs working on an essay that was about herself. Zeke didn't know that until he had to search for Sharpay, finding the blonde in the same classroom English was held in for seniors. She looked preoccupied, busy working on something.

"What're you doing up here during lunch?"

"...I'm working on this essay."

"What's it about?"

"Me."

"Sounds nice. Can I read it?"

Zeke tried to take the paper away, but Sharpay caught it with her hands.

"I didn't agree with you reading it."

"Please? I won't tell the guys anything."

"...Fine."

Sharpay handed Zeke the paper and he started to read it. He gazed upon a section talking about what she wanted.

"I always want the things that others beg to have; like the newest pair of pink heels by Gucci, or Chanel's new line of purses. It depends on what'll come sooner. And I already have a boyfriend so I can impress him with everything once it's mine!"

Zeke instantly stopped at that boyfriend part. Sharpay considered him her boyfriend, something he'd been dreaming about for ages.

"Sharpay, am I really your boyfriend?"

"Of course. I mean, we are dating, right?"

"Yes, we are. Moving on, are you free after school today?"

"Why are you asking that?"

"Because maybe we can catch your local Starbucks or get a bite to eat."

"If my schedule isn't packed for today, I'll see, Zeke."

The school day was over. Everyone was rushing to their lockers and making a run outside. Sharpay wasn't doing anything of that since she had to inform Zeke about her surprisingly clean schedule. As the blonde cleared her locker, she heard the basketball player—her boyfriend—lean on some lockers.

"Are you free?"

"Mhm. So we can go get a bite. Starbucks sounds good but I'm hungry."

Sharpay closed her locker and grabbed Zeke's hand. He felt butterflies seep into his body once they intertwined hands, staying inside of him once they exited the school. They kept walking—with Zeke leading most of the time—until they reached their destination.

"We're here."

"This is the place?"

"Yeah. I hope you didn't expect me to book a fancy restaurant."

They were directed to a booth in the corner, away from any windows. After a while of settling down and browsing the menu, they ordered and received what they wanted.

"I can't wait to eat this!"

"Me either."

They started to eat their food, making it disappear quickly.

"That was delicious."

"I agree."

"Any more dates planned?"

"No, besides casual visits like me coming over to your place and you coming over to mine."

"That sounds nice."

Later, Zeke walked Sharpay home. As they moved, the mildly cold air made Sharpay stick to Zeke. Soon, they arrived in front of Sharpay's home. Before she went inside, the blonde gave Zeke a small surprise: a kiss on the cheek.
