Meeting Up Again With Mishap
The following day, Skylar prepared to start his new life in America with his little plane buddy, which he named Clipper. "Well, Clipper," Skylar said, gazing out at the distance, "This is where it begins."
The little plane nodded to agree with Skylar, though it doesn't know what Skylar meant. Clipper, was also puzzled. "Yeah," Skylar chuckled, "I don't know what that means, either. But my grandfather told me that it is something I have to find out on my own." Yes, it's true that Skylar had no plans at all.
So he decided to drive around, trying to come up with something. "Hey!" an unfamiliar voice said. Skylar turned to see an old jalopy talking to him. "What do you want with me?"
"You want to buy a used muffler?" the old car asked, trying to sell him the rusty old part. "Uh, no thank you," Skylar answered politely, "I'm good." He then drove off. "You're missing a deal!" the old car called out.
"Actually," Skylar said as he got away, "I'm not missing anything at all! And why is he selling that thing out here in the middle of nowhere?" Clipper immediately agreed. First, Skylar drove to a small town.
"Okay," Skylar said, "I really need to think out our plans. There's a reason." Still, Clipper was puzzled. "I'm not making any sense to you," Skylar said to the plane, "Actually, I don't know if I'm making any sense now."
Then both Skylar and Clipper heard a loud clattering sound. "Argh!" voices growled. "Sorry," a familiar voice called. "Wait a minute," Skylar said as he drove to the source. Then Skylar came across a familiar figure.
"Kaz?" Skylar thought. It is the other young car whom he'd met on the ship. "Yes, it's Kaz," Skylar declared at last. "Hey, buddy!" Kaz said upon seeing his friend from the ship.
"Oh, hi, Kaz," Skylar said, "Not insulting any big rigs today?" "No, of course not!" Kaz answered, "What- Oh. You know." "Well, if making a mess is not part of insulting trucks," Skylar said, "Then I'm happy to say, I'm not doing much of anything now."
"All right," Kaz said. He was about to go on his own way, but then, he turned to Kaz. "Huh?" Kaz replied. "Oh well," Skylar said at last, "If you want, you can tag along with me, too." "Be happy to!" Kaz answered excitedly, "We are the best buddies ever!"
"Uh, something like that," Skylar agreed, well, sort of. "Well, come on!" Kaz exclaimed, tire bumping Skylar. "All right," Skylar said, "But you got to be on your best behavior!" "Right!" Kaz answered, "Oh, and look what I got!"
"What?" Skylar replied. Kaz then showed a container of Ruste-eze medical bumper ointment. "You got to be kidding," Skylar said in response. "What?" Kaz said, "They had a sale back at the gift shop!" "Come on!" Skylar said, "Let's get going!"
Soon, after driving for a while, the two young cars and plane entered a small forest. "So what's the deal?" Kaz asked. "Still trying to figure something out," Skylar explained. "By the way," Kaz said, "You want to see something cool?"
"What now?" Skylar asked. "This!" Kaz said, getting out what appears to be a fancy-looking hubcap. "Oh, that silly junk?" Skylar said. "Well,' Kaz said, "It spins!" And he spun the centerpiece of the hubcap.
"Will you quit fooling around?!" Skylar asked seriously. "Uh what?" Kaz said as the hubcap started spinning wildly. "Hey, watch out, Kaz!" Skylar called out, but it was too late. Luckily, the faulty spinning hubcap missed Skylar and Clipper. Skylar sighed in relief until he heard a loud clang.
"Uh oh," he said. They all turned to see what the hubcap hit. It is an angry combine harvester, not to happy at all to be hit in the back like that.
"Worst than a big truck!" Skylar shouted, "A combine harvester!" "That explains its huge set of blades," Kaz said. "Never mind that!" Skylar shouted, bumping his friend to get him to move, "Let's get out of here!"
"Uh, don't need to tell me a thousand times!" Kaz replied as the two got away. Clipper was already ahead as the two young cars ran from the angry combine harvester, which shredded everything in its path with its rotating blades.
"Don't look back!" Skylar shouted, trying to avoid the blades. "No kidding!" Kaz replied.
The angry combine harvester chased after the two boys until they landed in a certain place. "Now what?" Kaz asked.
Skylar looked at his side mirror and saw that the angry combine harvester had left. Kaz did the same thing, too. "We're safe," he said with a sigh of relief. "Uh, I'm not too sure about that," Skylar said in denial. Clipper circled around the two when he noticed something about the ground that they're on.
That's when both Kaz and Skylar witness the ground liquefying around them. Huge bubbles started burst all around them. "Uh oh," Kaz said, "Is this part of the plan?" They both realized that they had accidentally driven into a mud pond.
"Great!" Skylar said, "We've drove into a mud pool!" "We're sinking!" Kaz cried, trying to back out of the mud lake, but he couldn't. "Don't move!" Skylar shouted, "You'll only sink faster! Turn off your engine!"
Kaz had no choice but to turn off his engine. "Thanks," he said.
However, the two continued to sink even deeper. "We've got to do something," Skylar said. So, Clipper immediately flew off and get help. "Yes, Clipper," Kaz said, "Go and get help!" All they could do now is just wait for help.
A bunch of minutes ago, the two girls who were on the ship, Jinny and Spiritstrike had ran into each other just before entering the small pocket forest. "Hey," Jinny said, "I met you on the ship."
"Yes," Spiritstrike answered in her cold tone, "You said your name is Jinny." "Yes," Jinny answered, "So your Spiritstrike." "You got that right," Spiritstrike answered. "Not much of a talker, are you?"
"I have my reasons," Spiritstrike answered coldly. She then turned to drive away. "Uh, would you like company?" Jinny asked. "Sure, whatever," Spiritstrike answered.
Both Spiritstrike and Jinny were driving for a few minutes when a certain little plane whom they've met on the ship flew towards them. "Huh?" Jinny said, "You must be Clipper." Clipper then chirped to communicate with the two girls.
"What?!" Spiritstrike said in response, "They?!" "Lead us to them!" Jinny said and Clipper flew off with Jinny and Spiritstrike following the little plane.
Right now, Skylar and Kaz are sinking in the mud pool.
Finally, Clipper returned with Jinny and Spiritstrike. "Hey look!" Kaz said. "Right," Skylar replied. "Oh my," Jinny said. "We have no time to waste," Spiritstrike said, "We have to help them now!" "Hold on!" Jinny called out, "We'll get you two out of there!" "No need to hurry," Kaz said.
"Just shut the hell up," Spiritstrike said to Kaz. "Huh?" Jinny replied. "Get the emergency cables out now, Jinny!" Spiritstrike commanded. "Right," Jinny agreed. Immediately the two girls set out their cables.
Clipper helped the two by tying the cables onto Skylar and Kaz's axels. Spiritstrike and Jinny tied the other ends to their axles. They looped the cables on a nearby rock for extra leverage.
"All set here," Spiritstrike said. "We're ready!" Jinny called out. "Now, pull!" Spiritstrike commanded.
The two put full power into their engines, with their wheels spinning furiously and the cables had tightened. Because the mud is completely liquid, it wasn't that hard for the two girls to pull the two boys out from the mud.
Finally, after Spiritstrike and Jinny put in a huge effort, Skylar and Kaz were both out of the mud and back onto firm ground. "Thanks," Skylar said. "You two saved our tailpipes," Kaz said. "Exactly!" Spiritstrike scolded, "What were you two thinking?! Driving off into unknown lands!"
"Sorry," Skylar and Kaz said together, "And Clipper, thank you for getting help." "I'm glad you're both okay," Jinny said, being more sympathetic. "We thank you very much," Skylar said, "Jinny and Spiritstrike."
"What happened?" Jinny asked. Skylar was about to say something when Kaz interrupted. "Actually," Kaz said, "It was my fault. I ticked off a combine harvester and he got angry with me and he- We." This made Spiritstrike even angrier. But then, she calmed down.
"Just be lucky that you didn't get shredded," Spiritstrike muttered "That is true," Kaz agreed. "You whatever you behave like," Spiritstrike added in. "I have to agree with you on that," Skylar said.
"Whatever," Spiritstrike said, "Let's just get the hell out of here and back onto the main roads. I don't even know why we've came here in the first place." "It was our fault, too," Kaz added in.
Eventually, the four cars and little plane eventually made it back onto the main road. "Let's figure out where to go from here," Jinny said. "You're right," Skylar agreed. Clipper agreed, too. "What's next?" Kaz asked.
Immediately, they saw two twins named Mia and Tia who were just driving by. "Okay," Kaz said, but the twins took no notice of them and just drove on. "Eh, don't worry," Kaz said, "It's fine with us."
And the five friends set off for their adventures ahead. Or maybe another mishap.
