(A/N): Before you guys read the next longed chapter of TF that you guys are waiting patiently for, which I will be posting it very soon. I'm going to give you guys a short memory lane skit of Penny Forrester's time when she was still in Hollywood. I hope you guys enjoy not only this skit but also the chapter itself. Let me know what you guys think of this skit.
Somewhere in Todayland Studios inside a building that is holding a two days audition for a girl to star in the rebooted sequel of Annie. So far only six teenage girls have made it to the semifinals for the role and one of them is Penny who is currently sitting with the other girls both patiently and a bit annoyed about being there. Suddenly, the door to the room that is holding the audition and out came the sixth girl who happens to be brown-skinned with brushy curly brown hair, wearing the familiar clothing of the orphan Annie. Next, came out the scriptwriter and one of the judges of the audition who have a positive smile on his face.
"Well, I have to say that was a great performance you showed us, Jazmine," said John2851, before looking at his clipboard.
"Why it's no problem, sir. I quite enjoy it myself," said Jazmine, having an adorable smile and excitement in her voice.
Penny rolled her eyes after hearing that statement and crossed her arms.
"Alright, ladies, I have excellent news as of today," said John2851.
This made all the girls except for Penny to get excited.
"Alright, you, you, you, and you. Please stand up for me," said John2851, after pointing at four different girls who were super excited about getting the opportunity to be a Hollywood star. "Now, do me a favor and Get The Stepping!. You girls did not make the cut or the expectations, so bounce!."
The four girls sighed and walked out of the building with sad disappointment on their faces.
"Ha, I don't know what you four thinking that you girls have what it takes to compete with the likes of me on a Hollywood level. But hey, there are always hiring actresses at the cheap dine-in theaters," said Penny, with a short chuckle.
One of the girls turned around with a frown and stick up their middle finger at Penny before being the last one to leave.
"Pfft, at least I'm still in it and not you, bitch," responded Penny.
"So anyway. Jazmine. Penny. Congratulations you two are in the finals. Now, I am going back inside to discuss with the other judges to see which one of you should be the main star in the movie. So hold tight." said John2851.
As soon as John2851 stepped back into the room to discuss with the other judges, meanwhile, Jazmine felt excited about getting the chance to play the rebooted sequel to Annie and just have to sing. Which made Penny look at her weirdly with an eyebrow raised.
"Isn't it neat?. The golden opportunity is just around the corner." Jazmine started singing before during a little twirl. "Oh, who would he choose?. Who be the girl to be Annie?. Playing a classic movie character will...make...our...lives...complete."
Jazmine sat down beside Penny while singing the last bit of her song with a big smile.
"Uh, girl, are you high on PCP?." asked Penny, having that cautious look on her face.
Jazmine looked at Penny and said with a positive attitude. "Why of course not, Penny. I never do drugs. I only do dancing and singing."
Jazmine made a catchy singing tune in her voice which did not impress Penny at all.
"Ah, Jazmine you need to stop wearing thongs and wear regular panties because I think wearing those tight wearings is killing off your brain cells," said Penny, with a rude attitude before taking the time to examine the girl's attire.
"Huh, nice outfit. Did a homeless bum sell you that attire or did you just get it from Goodwill?. Because that outfit is sooooo two thousand and late." said Penny, rudely commented.
"Oh, silly you." Jazmine showed her wear with a looked forced smile. "This is how I always wear."
"Riggghhhhttttt. But anyway, I sure hope that I get this part. If John comes back to tell me that I'm not playing Annie, then I am going to beat his ass, karate kid style." said Penny crossing her legs and relaxed in her chair.
"Shoot, my butt did not want to do this stupid audition for this sorry musical movie in the first place. I wanted to come home and hang with my cousins and friends. But noooo, my pain in the rear end manager had to sign me up for it without giving me a say-so about the whole thing. He just keeps saying let's put a pin in it. Heck, I made over a hundred movies, tv shows, commercials, and even cameos in both movies and tv. And don't get me started on the awards I got at the Oscars." said Penny, taking the moment to grab something out of her jacket.
"Oh, Penny, you have every right to be proud of yourself," Jazmine spoke and began to sing. "You are wonderful and legit. You have everything that every girl wants to have in life."
Jazmine started to get up from her seat and went to present Penny. "You're the star home girl of Todayland. You are an inspiration to every person. You. Are. Unique."
After singing, Jazmine hugged Penny which irritated the heck out of the legendary Hollywood actress.
"Um, I know that you better get the heck off of me or I do something to you that I will not regret," Penny warned before rudely pushing Jazmine off of her.
Jazmine managed to get her balance after being pushed so hard before calmly grabbing a seat beside Penny. Penny finally managed to pull out her thick peanut crunchy chocolate candy bar and started eating it.
"Oh, Penny you should eat something healthy. Because eating junk food is very bad for the body and on your voice quality," said Jazmine, with concern in her voice and face.
Penny looked at the girl with irritation on her face and was disgruntled. "Just like my foot in your black ass."
Jazmine backed up while covering her ears from hearing that profanity. Penny munched on her candy while feeling the need to share her thoughts with the girl.
"I tell you one thing though. I'm currently working on my new music album in the future. I have to keep up with the competition with that freaking nappy-headed black girl that calls herself, 'Black Comet'. Yeah, she's black alright. Black as the pitch black itself. But anyway, she told me during the night at the Grammy Awards, that her rap music album 'Black Beauty' can not be outsold or be beaten by anyone. And I'm like girl, please the only reason why my recent album hasn't hit the charts is that I have not done any music videos. But don't worry, the next album is going to be the best world seller of all time since, Michael Jackson's Thriller." said Penny.
"Really?. What's the album called?." asked Jazmine, not liking where this is going.
"My next future album is going to be called, 'Fun Summer'. You see this album is going to be nothing but all sexy and naughty. I have written some lyrics for one of my songs called Yummy Booty. Heck, I already figured out the dance moves for it. Observe." said Penny, getting off her seat and starting dancing.
This involves Penny moving and feeling her body and starting to bend down while shaking and wiggling her hips which made Jazmine completely uncomfortable.
"Oh, boy you know you want my Yummy Booty. I know you want to slap and grab these cheeks. So don't act like you don't want me and give me your sweet loving. And don't think that I have not noticed you looking at my fat ass. So why don't you stop wasting precious time and put your pervert face in between my cheeks?. Come on and give in to your sexual fantasy. Come on and satisfy your sexual hunger and start devouring my Yummy Booty." sang Penny, while being on the floor on all fours and moving her booty in a circular motion.
Jazmine backed away and faced her face away from what she is seeing as that is inappropriate and too sexual.
"And I'll slap my butt on the right cheek and that is what I have worked on so far. The dance move that I borrowed from my cousin Violet, who I caught seeing her doing it when she sometimes sleepwalks. Of course, she does not know she does that and I'm going to keep it that way. It's alright to rip off your family members or friends. I mean that is how black artists did it." said Penny, grabbing another candy bar out.
"Excuse me?." said Jazmine, feeling offended.
"Of course, my mom and family will refuse to let me produce anything so nasty, but when I become a young adult I will. Besides all that, acting and being a music artist isn't an actual job. Hollywood and Music labels are more of a hobby and not an occupation," said Penny, being honest.
"Not a job?. Not an occupation?." Jazmine started singing. "You don't consider getting up at the crack of dawn and relearning your lines before the screening?. You don't count the hard work and sweat of coworkers making the set, not an occupation?. You don't call getting your name credited on the end credits a job!!!!!!!!!??????."
During that moment, Jazmine did a little ballet as Penny was trying to keep up with the girl while holding the candy bar in her mouth. And once Jazmine did a long note on the job part, Penny removed the candy bar out of her mouth and compete against her singing vocals.
"Job!!!!!!!!???????." Penny sang with more emotion than Jazmine who was a little bit disliking the tone.
Suddenly, John2851 came out of the room, and the two's attention.
"Alright, you two we made our decision," spoke John2851, with a smile.
Jazmine scooted over towards the author with enthusiasm singing in her voice. "Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes."
"We have our new Annie!." spoke John2851, with enthusiasm.
"Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes." Jazmine got a little bit closer with the mindset on who is getting the part.
"Congratulations, Penny Forrester you got part of playing the reboot sequel as Annie!." said John2851.
"Yes, Yes, Yes...what the fuck!?." said a now pissed-off and shocked Jazmine.
Penny however was super excited about her victory and bragging rights. "Oh, snap, I got the role. Sorry, Black Entertainment Television aka BET, but orphan Annie is going back to being a caucasian girl."
Penny slid herself towards John2851 and get in front of a now mad Jazmine with a big grin.
"Yeah, after I was done writing the script and reread what I just wrote and realize that there is no way that, Black Annie will never do these wild spontaneous things. That and, both my best friends Katmar1994 and Mpowers045 told me that my terrible storytelling for this sequel movie is going to suck like Dragon Ball Super (anime and manga) and the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot combine. Let alone it's going to super flop at the box office. And so I figured that why not have Penny star as Annie and help with that issue. Because seriously I need to bank on something. The cost of living is not cheap you know." said John2851.
"Are you nuts?." Jazmine started singing again and stepped in between John2851 and Penny, and talked directly to the author with frustration. "Are you high?. Can you not realize that Penny is a bad acting choice?. Her voice is not pleasant when the music background is not playing. She is a real choke artist. And after what she said and treated me, I strongly know and believe that she is downright racist and should be in a racist film."
"Um, hello, I'm not racist. I do have Hispanic cousins let alone Japanese-American cousins. But if you want me the act racist then for you I'll make it an exception." said Penny, pulling Jazmine out of her view of John2851.
"Excuse me, Ms. Darky, the negro coon. You need to step aside because Annie is going back to her original color," said Penny, before looking back at John2851. "Now will I be able to write and produce my own music?. Because I'm most certainly not singing the 'Sun Come Out Tomorrow' or that freaking 'It's a Hard-Knock Life'."
"As I said Penny, I need to bank on something. So that means you'll create your very own album for the movie," said John2851, before taking the moment to look at his phone.
"Oh, good," said Penny, nodding her head in approval.
Jazmine sighed and sang. "This is really not my moment to shine. It really sucks to have your face in the mud. And it sucks to not get ahead in life."
"Well, oh, well, it looks like I'm going to have to sell my body this summer again," said Jazmine, while undoing her clothes and revealing her half-black shirt that showed her stomach, and a pair of blue jean shorts.
"It is time for me to get out. Get out and start getting my whore on. Because that is where the real money is at. It is high time for me to perform my services to anyone who wants to get laid." Jazmine sang while grabbing her Annie clothes and did a little twirl, while both John2851 and Penny watch. "I call my pimp to come to pick me up and take me to my assigned street corner in the San Fransokyo district. And my pimp's name is...Pimp Smokey Silky Johnson."
"Wait a minute." Penny leans over to Jazmine with a look of surprise and smirk. "Girl you know Smokey Silky Johnson?. That smooth talking well-purple-dressed dude is in my high school."
Jazmine smirked and said. "Yes, I know him. Every inch of him."
Penny laughed at hearing that and had to give the girl a high five for getting some head from the pimp teen.
"Man, I pity the poor weeping mother and the ashamed father," commented John2851, before getting looks from Penny and Jazmine.
"It's way better than working at Super Burger. Bye anyways. I'm off. I'm off, I'm off, I'm off!." said Jazmine, skipping her way out of the place.
Penny was hesitant to follow Jazmine for one important reason and one reason only.
"John2851, I gotta go and catch up with Jazmine." Penny received a strange look from the man. "I have an upcoming movie of me starring as a prostitute and I need to know how to look, act, and talk like one. You call my manager and say I got the part of Annie. Right now, I seriously need to go. I need to learn how to be a prostitute by the end of the summer. Jazmine, girl wait up!."
Penny ran out of the place calling Jazmine's name and trying to catch up with her. John2851 shakes his head in shame.
"Man, that is so pathetic and sad at the same time," said John2851, before looking at his clipboard to see what he has next on the agenda. "Okay, the next audition tryouts are for my popular tv series for the next season, 'The Strange Family'. My version of the Shrek trilogy. And believe it or not that show is booming."
Once done reading over who is on the call-back list, John2851 headed back to the room to start calling back to people who are auditioning to play Fiona's parents, Fairy Godmother, Charming, and of course, playing or performing CGI for Puss in Boots.
