Reincarnation… a myth, a belief, religions base their ideologies off this principle, spiritually people believe in it at as well, but this…not this. Sakura clutched her chest as she sat up breathing hard as she looked around her old room in shock and disbelief. She had just been stabbed in the stomach while there was a hole in her chest, it was war. So many lives were lost. So many she couldn't save. Instantly she thought of her blonde haired female friend, her lifeless eyes staring at her as her hands loosened around Sakura's wrist as she continued to pump charka into her.

She quickly shook her head standing up sweating as her breathing became quick and shallow, a panic attack; she quickly walked towards where her bathroom would be and stopped at the full length mirror in her room. She turned in shock there she was, she was young; the stress of war has yet to hit her, her hand shakily reached toward her forehead, her diamond was gone meaning she was maybe 16. Her body began to shake even more, and she hurried to her bathroom throwing up in the toilet. She calmed her breathing slowly trying to figure out the last thing that happened to her until a knock at her window interrupted her thoughts.

She stiffened as she looked towards the sound unable to see the window due to her sitting next to the toilet. She stiffened even more holding her breathing and taking her charka within herself, force of habit due to the battles and deaths she had witness.

"Sakura?" Kakashi's voice filled the room his steps echoing as he neared the bathroom, tears began to fall down her face at the sound of her name from a voice she thought she would no longer hear. She clenched her hands her breathing labored till he stood in the door, and she stopped breathing, his towering frame immediately crouched to her eye level. "Sakura…?" he whispered as he looked into her eyes, and she began to immediately shake her head no towards him.

"I feel sick…" She whispered before she collapsed on the ground. Her body sweating as Kakashi walked closer to inspect the woman, he saw the throw up in the toilet and rubbed his neck and sighed, he gently picked her up cradling her softly and turning towards her room looking around inspecting the room quickly before jumping out the window. He had felt her sudden dip as her charka disappeared and surge back up strongly her reserves at a high peak as if she was constantly storing her charka before it went low again. The sensation immediately catching his attention causing him to check in on her, when she pulled her charka back he walked quickly to her bathroom, her eyes when they looked at him were filled with horror. Pure horror at the sight of him, then they went almost panicked before they went dead as she said she didn't feel well.

At the end her eyes feared him, he had seen those same eyes before staring back at him in his own reflection. He quickly entered the hospital relieved to see Shizune walking towards the back past the reception desk, he quickly called her name, and the woman wasted no time in directing him where to go as she looked over their pinkette, he was quickly escorted out and sat in the waiting room. Waiting to him felt like days but with a look at the clock it had only been an hour. The doors to the hospital slammed open as Tsunade walked in she glanced around the room and immediately spotted Kakashi, her heels clicked echoing the quiet startled room as everyone stared at their Hokage. She stood in front of Kakashi with her hands on her hips, with a nod of head she turned and left going further into the hospital, Kakashi wasted no time and immediately began to follow the blonde.

oOoOo Sakura oOoOo

The quiet beeping matching her heart rhythm soothed her. The smell was familiar, clean disinfected air brought freshness into her lungs. It soothed her soul, during the war tents were set up and the smell of blood and death, so much death, had overwhelmed her many times. She could never get rid of that smell, her heart clutched in pain at the thought and her machine beeped accordingly. She breathed in deeply before turning on her side to stare out the window opening her eyes before she quickly closed them again. The brightness from the sun and the lights from the room blinded her instantly. She slowly opened them again and stared out the window as she applied a little amount of charka into her ears and heard the birds and sound of talking from the streets below. The children laughed as she heard them run around, a tear fell down her face as she pulled her charka away and focused on the sound of the beeping. She had quietly tried to break the illusion, but nothing worked. She felt pain she felt the sheets of her bed and genjutsu doesn't work that way, it all felt real, all so real.

How is this possible. We should be dead. We were dead…a hole in the middle of my chest a sword through our stomach. Our heart in his hands. No…our heart in her body, right? Sakura sighed as she rubbed her chest where the hole was, her sword in our stomach our heart in her body, a surge of charka from her body as our heart entered. She tried to replace hers with ours did that affect us somehow? Is she dead? Sakura clenched her eyes and did an internal scan on her body her charka explored everything, she was dehydrated, severely dehydrated.

That makes sense it's been days since we had access to water. We were fighting for two days. She finally came out the second day. Naruto and Sasuke were there we had agreed to stop her together. Sasuke had other plans though. Naruto he yelled didn't he? No… he continued as if we were meant to die. They always been able to communicate without talking. We were a necessary sacrifice to them. We need Ino…she can see what we can't remember. Can we even involve someone like that? Asking them to see the future. you're right, if we're really in the past and they see the future what would happen…What we want to know is unnecessary. We can change it. we will change it. With a huff she stood up and quickly disconnected the machine and pulled her needle out healing the tiny wound it caused with a swipe of her thumb.

No more waiting and being protected no, that won't do anymore. She had stood her ground against hundreds maybe thousands of people. She had saved lives and had lost many in return. She will change the outcome she had so much information that would never be made known to the public. The attack by Pein, Itachi's true allegiance and his disease. Gaara's kidnapping where he's actually at, Orchamariu's death. Sasuke and his team. So much information and so much to do, she quickly grabbed her folded pjs and sighed, she stared at the pink color and threw it the side and quickly stepped out the room in her hospital gown, she should have clothes here. she should have an office at this age if not she had her locker. She even stored clothing in Shizune's office just in case. She quickly walked out towards where her office should be ignoring the stares of other doctors and nurses as she entered the room relieved to see she did in fact have her office. Putting on her clothes she looked around her desk, she stared at the paperwork it was an outline planned for a new ward but now she knew in reality that ward was never needed during the war its teaching never came in handy it was meant for children who had mental issues. During the war so many children had died the little girl she had decided to protect and keep at side had died too. She would save the plans and implement it when the war would be over but for this time of peace it would not be necessary. She had originally came up with the idea when Kakashi explained his childhood to her during a mission and she wished to help children like him. Instead of a whole building being added on she would add a wing for them still just to be safe she doesn't known if it actually helped anyone but if it had she still wanted it to be available.

But the money for the whole building that was to be added would be used for something else. Something she knows they would need eventually, and she will argue tooth and nail it ensure that its get built. A knocked stopped her from reaching for more paperwork and she looked towards the door her heart pumped hard but she breathed in slowly to calm herself.

"Come in." she said as she made her way around the desk sitting down shuffling her paper work around to clean and began to separate it into piles.

Tsunade walked in followed by Kakashi, she stiffened slightly at the sight of the two and looked down forcing the tears back at the sight.

"Sakura, look at me." Tsunade ordered, slowly she looked up. "What is going on, your body was like it had been battling for days you were severely dehydrated and your heart it wasn't…right." Tsunade said as she crossed her arms staring hard at her pupil. Sakura's eyes widen at the heart statement and immediately clutched her chest. Tsunade should know. We have to be careful about Danzo.

"We need to talk privately and we need Ino's dad." Sakura said as her eyes flickered to Kakashi for a brief moment then back to Tsunade who looked at her confused. "Kakashi can not be here." She clarified as she looked at her hokage her eyes hard not wavering. Tsunade nodded and flared her charka an anbu appeared in front of her kneeling down, Tsunade immediately requested her needs and they left. Kakashi stared confused at the pinkette she had never just called him just Kakashi. It was always Kakashi-sensei.

Sakura ignored the stares and continued to move her paperwork around deciding what is and isn't necessary, she would be taking over the hospital soon if she remembered correctly meaning she wont have much time till Gaara is attacked, she should look into getting Suna's staffed trained for Kankuro, they didn't know the basics their staff had improved slightly but not enough. Yes that would be the first order she would get done. A tapping sound interrupted her thoughts as she looked up her eyes watered at the older blonde.

"Inoichi-san." She said as he waved happily at his daughter's friend. "Sakura-chan! You requested me?" he said happily as he stood before the young girl. Her eyes immediately watered causing him to tilt is head in confusion. "What's wrong kiddo?" he said softly, "Inoichi-san." Her voice waivered immediately as tears began to stream down her voice, sobbing quietly Inoichi looked towards Tsunade in concern who shook her head as well in confusion. "S-silence the room." Sakura said quietly, without hesitation hiccupping only once as she forced her tears to stop. "Sakura, for something like that should be in my office not here." Tsunade said gently. Sakura nodded standing up thanking that Kakashi had left while she as absorb in her paper work, and walked out the room the other two followed silently as they quickly made their way towards the Hokage office.

Upon entering Tsunade sat at her desk as she flared her charka, immediately the blinds folded down darkening the room as it glowed a soft blue. The room quiet as the two blondes stared at the tiny pink haired woman.

"Im not from here." Sakura said causing the two to be even more confused. "I woke up here but in reality I was 10 maybe 11 years in the future." She said as she began to pace.

"Sakura I saw you yesterday. What on earth are you talking about." Tsunade demanded confused and not understanding her.

"You were with Ino-chan yesterday too, how can you say you weren't here, is this a psychotic break? Has your work load been too much do you need counseli-" Inoichi asked confused and worried on her wording.

"Enough! I was in a war! I died and I woke up here, I woke up in the past! So many people were dead and now I'm here with you all I don't know if this reincarnation or something else but I'm not from here!" Sakura pleaded for the two understand.

The two looked at each other in concern communicating almost quietly. "Is this a mental break down? How would that even be possible." Inoichi asked Tsunade who opened her mouth to respond as she looked at him.

"Don't talk about me as if I'm not here!" Sakura shouted as tears streamed down her face. "Just look, please just look." Sakura offered. Inoichi looked towards the blonde who nodded in permission. "Okay, ill look but Tsunade-sama needs to see as well. Do we have your permission?" Inoichi offered quietly as Sakura just nodded her head she walked to sit in one of the chairs in front of Tsunade's desk. Tsunade stood and walked towards the pinkette as she placed a hand on her shoulder and the other hand on Inoichi's shoulder. "When you go in just wait, ill be there to show you what you need to see." Sakura offered as she closed her eyes and waited. With a confused shrug Inoichi began his justu. "Lets get started then, Memory Retrieval." He announced as he one hand the ram sign and other hand grabbed her head. Instantly Sakura was knocked out while Tsunade and Inoichi were standing with their eyes closed as their minds entered Sakura's.

Inoichi looked around the dark abyss as Tsunade crossed her arms. "Is it always like this?" she asked after a moment. "No, but before we went in she said to wait. Usually we need full permission for us to stroll around or if we enter without permission we push through with force. However that can damage someone's mind beyond repair so we need to wait." He offered in explanation, after a few moments Sakura appeared.

"Hello, its nice to finally meet you, come with me." She said causing the two blondes to quietly follow. "I'm not Sakura." she explained as she stepped forward into the darkness, on her third step the world came to life. Tsunade and Inoichi looked around in awh at the beautifully Japanese garden. "I'm Inner." She continued as she stopped her clothing changing to a kimono as her hair grew long, Inoichi nodded as he stared at the kanji on her forehead that clearly read inner.

"Are you a double personality?" he asked slightly worried about the girl. "In some ways, I was made by her at a young age inspired by Ino-chans strong personality something that she can rely on when she needs to and something she wishes to grow into. But in reality I speak her true words." Inner explained as she turned back around.

"What is this place?" Tsunade asked as she continued to look, it was beautiful garden filled with trees flowers and a decent size river.

"Sakura's mind, I protect it. everything you see is her. A flower and its petals are memories, the trees full of life and fruit are her core memories. The river her tears and sweat the small birds are personality always changing and singing a different tune depending on how she feels." She explained as she walked over the bridge looking back at the two.

"Its beautiful." Inoichi said as Inner nodded in agreement. "I worked hard to store and maintain her mind its why she was able to kick Ino-chan out during her exams, but its really all her. She keeps me strong and it takes such a toll on her that she's never at full capacity its amazing what she can accomplish." After they continued to walk the scenery change it began to pour heavily as flowers were dead trees were burnt and on the ground laid birds. It looked as if a fire had spread and rain followed, the fire burned what could and rain killed all the plants as if it suffocated them.

"The war…it took a toll on her. So many lives were lost and she didn't even see it to the end. Right now I'm happy she died. Isn't that sad? But if she had survived had to live with herself her mind would look like this area. Shattered and unable to fix itself. I worried here as I watched for two years as she destroyed herself with guilt and anger and sadness that I couldn't control or help her with. But this is what she wanted you to see. If you see too much it can…well I don't know what it could do to you. But we don't want it to affect you." Inner bent down her hair clinging to her face as Tsunade clenched her hands as Inoichi looked away sadly.

She plucked two petals one for each of them and teared the tip off. "We decided to block faces out, something we don't need you to see. So many lives were lost after all." Inner explained as she handed them to each blonde. "It's a just a portion of the war just proof that she speaks the truth it's a small collection of her memories." She continued as she took a step back and waited.

As she smiled their eyes rolled back only showing the white of their eyes as the memories entered each of them.

" Please! I need you!" Sakura eyes as tears blurred her vision as she looked down at a faceless ninja with a different symbol on their headband something they never seen. There was blood so much blood. As she looked up she saw several blades headed her way till she was pulled away from the body. "No!" she screamed as all the blades stabbed the body and a black shadow released her waist.

"Sakura! we need to go!" The voice argued distorted so they couldn't figure out who it was by voice but the shadows were more than enough to know it was most likely Shikamaru or a family member.

"We need to go!" it shouted at her once more, "I can save them! They're alive!" she argued ready to run back in till her footsteps stop.

"I'm sorry but we need to go." The voice said mournfully as she cried and pleaded to save just one more life.

Bodies laid everywhere, but Sakura was focused on one. A little girl with a hole in her stomach and her am missing. Her hand cradle the face as she cried sorry. "Sakura?" at the sound of the voice she looked up and sob till the arms grabbed her in a hug till they shoved her away and kunai embedded where she once was. Instantly she jumped to her feet as blurred ninjas ran towards her, her charka was low but it was more than enough.

"Shes gone theres nothing you can do. You need to save your charka." A voice said for behind her, her vision was blurry the person she attempted to heal laid before her the face empty no identifying features. Eventually no sound could be heard but they could tell she was arguing with whoever it was as her body shook. "Sakura please! Shes gone okay! You need to stop!" the only sound heard everything was quiet after that as she pulled her charka away. "How can you say that especially about -!" the voice cut out, clearly whoever this was, is something they would never know. "You need to stop. Your emotions are clearly getting to you and we cant lookout and protect you anymore. If you die its on you." The voice said back as the sounds of footsteps can be heard leaving. Sakura sobbed as she did hand signs and transported the body away. She stood running towards the fight. Praying she can save someone and kill everyone.

Her reflection stared back as she rubbed her face, heavy bags remained under her eyes, the lifeless eyes she grew to hate but something couldn't stop from happening. She stripped her jounin vest off and her shirt followed, her body covered in scars, she breathed out slowly and more began to appear. Long jagged ones and some short but the most worrying one was the one across her lower stomach. Tsunade inhaled sharply and Inner smiled sadly. "Ah, so you're at that part." Sakuras hand ran across the jagged mark as she inhaled sharply. "kids in this time would be wrong anyway Haruno. Remember what Ino said. Its not in the cards for us anymore." She sadly whispered, she turned and looked at her back to stare at the marks that decorated her body. Angrily she reached for the mirror as she turned back around and threw it and screamed. She was angry. So much was taken so much was lost and now she couldn't be a mother. She could never be a mother. With a deep breath her scars disappeared leaving only minor ones. She grabbed a new shirt and vest, putting both back on before leaving the room. It was a make shift building that was built out of wood. It was a temporary camp and so many injured people walked around as Sakura strolled to another building. Inside was a group of people as they argued and fought. She huffed and broke the table they surrounded, "Its about time someone pulled your heads out of your ass. I have had enough with your idiotic ideas and plans and its about time you fucking get your asses out in the front lines like the rest of us!" she yelled as everyone tensed and looked back and forth.

With a blink Tsunade and Inoichi were back in the garden registering that Inner was waving at them. "Welcome back.." she offered as she began to leave the area, quickly they followed. "No we wont answer any questions. No we wont tell you who we fought and who was on what side and no we wont, just wont tell you anything unless its absolutely necessary. The trauma she experienced that I sat and had to witness and deal with here it took such a toll such a large piece of her. Maybe this is a new chance to change things or to just heal, maybe this is a form of torture for us but we just need time. so listen to her please." Inner offered as she looked around the beautiful garden. Tsunade sighed and rubbed the back of her neck. "We will try."

With a gasp both blondes exited the mind back into the real world. Inoichi waited patiently for the pinkette to awaken. Slowly he saw her open her eyes blinking and looking around the room. Without hesitation he yanked her arm pulling her into his as he cried. Tsunade bit her lip and look away, both blondes experienced a war. It was never fair or kind. Sakura eyes watered immediately as she began to cry, Tsunade pulled the blonde male off her student before grabbing her as well hugging her as they went to their knees Sakura sobbing on her masters shoulder as Inoichi attempted to compose himself.

"Shhh, shh Sakura. its alright shhh." Tsunade soothed her as she rocked her back and forth. "Its obvious I wasn't there based on your first reaction when you saw me and im assuming Kakashi as well…im sorry I left you. I wished I never left you to deal with that." She offered as Sakura gripped her harder sobbing her heart out two years without a full cry just weeping for everyone and everything she had experienced made her feel light. "You know. You are my student for sure, those people you yelled at and the words you said is all me but Shizune seems to have affected you as well because if you were all me I know you would've thrown at least two of them but you only broke the table." She offered trying to lighten the mood as Sakura chuckled in response.

Inoichi laughed as well considering he had witness it once or twice. "Still breaking a table has a way to set the mood as well." He offered as he rubbed his eyes. "Im assuming you brought me into this so Tsunade-sama can see for herself." At her silently nod he smiled sadly. "Whenever you need a face or someone to let you cry im here. anytime." He offered as he patted her head which she smiled sadly in response.

"What do you need from me Sakura." Tsuande asked as she stood bringing the pinkette up with her as she rubbed the remaining tears away from Sakura's face.

"Time and freedom." Sakura offered in response smiling sadly.
