I'd like to clarify that this is the first fanfiction I've ever made, and it might not be the best, but I'm practicing a lot. This chapter is just over 1000 words long, but the next couple chapters will hopefully be over 2,000 words. My plan is to release two chapters every month. So yeah, enjoy the first chapter, and please give me feedback on what I need to improve on and some ideas to implement in the story.

"I must bring you back," said a battered boy with tattered clothes and healing scars. He had the brightest of blonde hair and the most oceanic of eyes, staring at his fallen friend from the other side of the river. The fallen friend had black hair, black eyes, and a sharp focus that could make it rain. The surrounding area was the valley, where water was flowing down from the mountain, creating a small river. There were two statues on both sides of the river. "Why won't you leave me alone, Naruto?'' said the black-haired boy with anger. "Because I promised Sakura that I would bring you back to the village, and I know this is not you, Sasuke," replied the blue-eyed boy with resolve in his voice. "Why would you go to the snake for power, and you know he wants to control you? You must leave him, Sasuke; this is not the way."

Silence is insuaded for the next 20 seconds, neither opening their mouths nor speaking or even letting out a breath; only the running water and the small breeze could be heard. Then, out of nowhere, the black-haired boy started laughing slowly, then louder and louder, until he was cackling. Like a maniac "Do you really think you can take me back to the village?" replied Sasuke. While laughing, "I want this power—power to beat my brother, power to avenge my clan—you wouldn't understand such things would you. Growing up, you had no mother, no father, and no family. I may have been your only friend in your life, Naruto, but I will also be your last." Sasuke's hands lifted to the air. Symbols started to appear on the left side for a couple seconds, then they disappeared. Replaced by them was something that made his skin turn dark grey, and his eyes also started to turn grey, but a yellowish gray. Dark brown wing-like hands sprouted out of his back. Pure evil was rushing through the air; anyone who stumbled upon him would have seen not a boy but a monster. At the same time, dark reddish chakra started coming out of Naruto, surrounding him completely. The whiskers on his cheeks straightened out, and his eyes turned slit like a fox. "Don't make me do it, Sasuke," said Naruto with frustration. His head was down, blocking Sasuke from seeing the expression on your face.

Again, there was silence for a few seconds. Sasuke chuckled and lowered his head. "Do you really believe that you can stop me? I have more power than you can ever imagine."reaching out his right arm to the side, palms up, as a blue and white lightning started violently bursting out of his hands, shaped like a sphere. It was a formless coverage of electricity all over the hand of the black-haired boy. This was Chidori; it is Sasuke's signature jutsu (technique) developed by Kakashi Hatake, and it allows a user to cut through any foe. At the same time, Naruto reached out his hand to the right side, palms up, as a small blue orb started forming in the middle of his palm. The orb got bigger and bigger until it was the size of a football (soccer for you Americans). The blue orb was spinning around on the inside quicker than most people could see. This is the rasengan, a condensed ball of chakra that, unlike most powerful jutsu, has no elemental power in the jutsu (technique). It was created by the 4th Hokage and was inspired by the bijuu bomb; it is the Naruto signature technique. Unlike the Chidori, which is best used for assassins, the rasengan is best used for destruction, so it's great for 1 on 1 and multiple enemies.

Lifting their heads up simultaneously and staring at each other, "Don't make me do it, Sasuke," Sasuke scoffed. "Don't make you do what, weakling," said Sasuke, smiling with venom and arrogance. In this very moment, Sasuke was the strongest he had ever been in his short and chaotic life, but it made him overconfident. He truly believed Naruto was no match for him. "You may have also been my only friend, but you will also be my last. As I can't have friends, it holds me back from my destiny to avenge my clan and kill my brother." Naruto closed his eyes and sighed. He had truly hoped it wouldn't come to this. Opening his eyes back up, Naruto spoke in the calmest voice he had ever spoken, "Then so be it, my best friend.".

Silence fell upon them once again, for the last time, as both prepared to attack. After an attack for ages, Naruto readied himself. Tensing his legs and right arm to jump and attack as fast as possible, he knew Sasuke would do the same thing. "It's inevitable; I might have to kill him; he intends to kill me to turn fully to evil," thought Naruto. And out of nowhere, it happened: both jumped at each other with incredible speed, determined to kill one another. Their previous places were filled with dust from the Incredible Speed; the tension and suspense had thickened much more than they already were. As the two former friends inched closer and closer to each other's attacks, Naruto got reminded of the moments that led up to this soon-to-be clash. "This was all the fault of Orochimaru; he had caused this; if I just could have stopped him in the forest

of death, none of this would have happened," thought Naruto with pure anger, which made his prisoner smile with evil intent from inside the seal.

And BANG! The two attacks collided, creating a bright light and pushing back the water below them, creating a mini-tsunami. Naruto and Sasuke struggled against each other as they both put more and more chakra into their respectful attacks. "Why won't he die already?" thought Sasuke with pure venom and annoyance. "Why won't he stop already?" thought Naruto with annoyance and anger as both attackers started screaming their attacks out at the same time. "RASENGAN" "CHIDORI". Then something happened that both of them did not expect: a black hole started slowly forming in the middle of the collided attacks, sucking in the chakra from both attacks. The two former comrades tried to move away, but they couldn't pull their hands out. They looked at each other, Sasuke with anger still and Naruto with confusion. "Goodbye, dork," said Sasuke as Naruto moved his head to the side in further confusion. Sasuke created lighting in his free hand and cut his right hand off, sending him tumbling to the ground. Naruto couldn't believe it. Sasuke had cut his own hand off and was now on the ground, unconscious, while his arm was still stuck to the black hole and was slowly being engulfed by it. He tried desperately to remove his hand. "Nooooooooo!" screamed Naruto as he was engulfed by the black hole, and consciousness left him.

Naruto was flat on his stomach, slowly waking up, moving his arms left and right, and wiggling his legs up to sit on his knees and rub what felt like sand off his eyes. He felt like he had just woken up from unconsciousness. "Where am I?" thought Naruto as he started to hear weird noises of firing and slashing, opening his eyes and standing up and looking around him, where humans and weird "thing" beings in brown robes were fighting mechanically moving things. "What the Fuc..." Naruto said as he started looking around frantically, In comical distress, "where am I?" I thought Naruto was holding his head in confusion and stress."
