Hyrule, a glorious Kingdom that was so great and sacred that an average person would never have guessed that it was in decline for over a century until ten years ago. This happened thanks to the efforts of the Kingdom's rightful ruler Queen Zelda and her appointed knight who later became her husband Link. After Hyrule was threatened by two great evils known as Ganon and Ganondorf who would ended up killed by Zelda and Link, the royal couple along with the people of Hyrule worked together to fix the damage, create new villages, and make a brand new castle. For the following decade, Hyrule prospered and a peaceful golden era was started. Now after ten years, Zelda was currently giving birth to her and Link's child who would become the heir to the throne. During that time, Link was in a separate room filled with anxiety hoping things would turn out alright.

"What's going on in there," thought Link to himself, "I know I shouldn't be there right now, but I feel like I should be by Zelda's side to protect her from this."

Just as Link thought that, he could hear loud screaming coming from Zelda which intensified his concerns. About an hour later the screaming stopped and one of the doctors helping with the birth opened the door separating the two rooms.

"Your Highness," said the doctor, "We have good news and bad news."

"I see," responded Link with worry, "What are they?"

"The good news is the birth was successful and you have a healthy son," explained the doctor. "The bad news is Queen Zelda is very weak and is dying."

"What," shouted Link in disbelief, "How can that be?"

"We believe this was caused when the Queen spent all that time fulfilling her roles in the Great Calamity and the Upheaval which severely weakened her," explained the doctor, "She is still alive for now and wants to see you one last time."

"I understand," said Link and a second later, he rushed into the room Zelda was in.

"Hey Link," said Zelda once she saw her husband enter the room, "I take it the doctor who left to get you told you everything?"

"He did Zelda," answered Link, "I can't believe after everything we went through, this has to happen."

"It's okay," replied Zelda, "I suspected this might happen from the start of the pregnancy months ago." "At least our son is here and is healthy."

Zelda then revealed to Link their baby.

"Well it seems like he is well," admitted Link, "Did you give him a name?"

"I did," answered Zelda, "His name is Daniel." "I named him after one of the knights I met back when I was in the ancient past."

"Well I can tell that that's a suitable name for our son just by looking at him," said Link.

"I agree," replied Zelda, "Link, once I'm dead, It will be up to you to look after Hyrule until Daniel is ready to be King." "Can you promise me you'll do that?"

"To be honest," admitted Link, "I don't have confidence in ruling as well as you did but I promise I'll do my best."

After the conversation ended, Link was asked to leave the room with Daniel while Zelda would stay for her final hours. Link then said goodbye to Zelda and while holding Daniel, left the room for the room that was to be Daniel's bedroom.

"Daniel," said Link to the baby a little while later, "I'll do all I can for you as your Father. "I hope you don't go through any tough hardships like your mother and I did."
