Mrs. Young, Alma, Nelson and the fright krewe looked up to see Lou standing by the front door.
"Lou, how long have you been here?" asked Alma.
"I just walked in a few minutes ago.
I came by to check on things," Lou replied, as he walked up to the table, where everyone was sitting.
"Lou, I can explain," said Mrs. Young.
"Well, at least that explains the nightmares."
Lou then turned around and left the restaurant.
"Wait Lou, where are you going?" asked Mrs. Young.
"I need time to take this all in."
And with that, Lou left the pizzeria.
"What do we do now auntie?" Pat said to Alma.
"As Lou told us, he needs time," Alma replied.
The fright krewe was a lost of what to say or do at a time like now.

The next morning, Soleil and Pat were heading into school, when they heard a voice call out to them.
"Pat, Soleil.
Wait up!" the person called out.
The two teenagers turned around to see Maybe catch-up to them.
"Maybe what's wrong?" asked Pat.
"They came to me," answered Maybe.
"Who came to you?"
"Lou's parents."
"The same way that Pat's dad, and Malcom did?" asked Soleil.
"Yeah.
I think there's a way we can get Lou back to his place."
"How do we get Lou back to his place by what?" asked Stanley, as he, Nelson and Missy approach their friends.
"Maybe had a vision of seeing Lou's parents," Soleil replied.
"So we have to figure out how to talk Lou into getting back to his place, so he can talk to his parents," said Maybe.
"Well, tonight is the 13 of the 13th Halloween festival, he may show up," said Missy.
"I don't know, after what happened yesterday, it doesn't seem likely," Nelson pointed.
"We'll have to come up with something then," said Soleil.

Several hours later, it was the night everyone had been waiting for.
The 13 of the 13th Halloween festival.
Up and down the streets, residents young and young at heart were dressed in costumes, strolling around the different Koises that were giving out prizes for games, especially candy for the kids, dancing to live music, performed by Paulie, who's brother Maybe, dressed in his dad's clothes from the era of the 1980's, making himself to look like a rock star, was working on self portraits, while Missy and Nelson, who dressed as Alice and the mad hatter from Alice and Wonderland did face painting, Pat, wearing clothing similar to a voodoo priest, stood in front of Alma's shop, inviting guests in for spirit readings and sweets, Soleil, who was dressed in her grandfather's coat and top hat using her fire magic, as she gave tours.
"Hey awesome costume Soleil," said Pat, as the two friends met up, following a tour.
"Thanks Pat.
You're looks wicked cool as well," said Soleil.
"The town has a great turn out for the event."
"Yeah, I think there's more people than last year."
"Is that Stanley?"
Pat and Soleil turned to see that it was indeed their friend, dressed in a cartoon-type wolf costume, as he pushed his baby sister Cece, who was dressed as Little Red Riding Hood, in a stroller.
"Stanley, over here!" Pat called out.
Wheeling his sister towards his friends, Stanley said, "Guys, I don't want anyone know it's me.
It was mom's idea."
Nelson and Missy then approached the group.
"Loving the costume Stanley," Nelson said with a chuckle,
"Who's a good boy?
Who's a good boy?" laughed Missy, as she tussled the head of Stanley's costume.
"All's kidding aside, Cece's having a blast," said Stanley.
"Tick o teet," the toddler said with a giggle.
"Stanley, Hijo I'm here," a voice called out.
It was Stanley's mom, Luciana Rodgriguez.
"Hi Mom," said Stanley.
"Hola Mrs. Rodgriguez," said Nelson and the rest of the fright krewe.
"You guys look amazing, and of course we also have the cutest red riding hood, and handsomest big bad wolf," said Luciana, as she took her phone out of her purse for a photo.
"Mom please, don't take any photos," Stanley begged.
But she snapped for a picture.
Twice actually.
"The festival has been a big hit Mrs. Rodgriguez," said Pat.
"And the amount of ghost tour has doubled since last year," added Soleil.
"I'm glad to hear that, said Luciana, as she knelt down to her daughter and said, And it looks like somebody had a great time trick-or-treating."
"Candy," spoke Cece, before she let out a yawn.
"Looks like it's time to take little miss riding hood home to bed."
"Hey mom.
We're going to help Pat's aunt, and Maybe's brother clean up, then we're grabbing a few slices at Lou," said Stanley.
"Ok boys.
I'll see you when you get home and be safe kids," said Luicana, as she pushed Cece, who was now fast asleep in her stroller.
Once Luicana had left, it was time to put the plan in gear.

A short time later, Lou arrived at Alma's shop.
Walking inside, he called out, "Alma.
It's me Lou, I'm here to look over your Fusebox."
But there was no answer and the shop was dark.
"Hello, anyone here?" Lou asked.
Once again, there was no reply.
Being he felt that no one was in the shop Lou decided to leave.
"Lou, I'm sorry that I couldn't hear you, but I'm back in the kitchen," Alma called out.
"I'm on my way," said Lou, as he headed to meet Alma, without tripping over anything in the dark.
When he finally got to the kitchen, the lights magically turned back on, and Lou found himself standing with Alma, Nelson, Mrs. Young, Gia, Chuck, Paulie, Otis, Fiona, and the fright krewe.
"Alam, what's going on here?" Lou asked.
Taking his hands and hers, Alam said, "Lou, we've all really been concerned about you.
I know how you get this time of year, but this year really seems to be hard on you."
"Alma, I appreciate you and everyone being worried about me, but the whole part of my childhood is just this dark place.
What really hurts more than knowing the truth of what happened to me, is the fact I never got to say goodbye to my parents."
"There is a way you can," said Maybe.
"How?"
"Remember when I manage to get you and Fiona to talk to Malcom?" asked Maybe.
"Yes, you really can do that again?" Otis asked.
"I can if Lou says yes."
"I'd say Lou should do it."
"We can't make him darling.
It's up to Lou himself," Fiona pointed out.
Lou didn't say anything, but simply nodded.
Mrs. Young placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "I'll do this with you."
"Thank you," Lou spoke.
"Ok then.
Let me get the vision and I'll guide Lou, and Mrs. Young," said Maybe.

Lou stood beside Maybe and the scene had changed from the kitchen at Alam's shop, to now a swirling blue background.
About a second later two shadow figures appeared before the two.
The shadows soon revealed themselves.
It was a man and a woman, who appeared to be in the mid 40's.
Lou recognized them immediately."
"Mom, dad," he spoke.
"Lou, it's been so long," said Maggie
"I know and, I'm sorry," said Lou.
"Sorry for what?" Lou Sr. asked.
"For never having a chance to say good-bye, and for the way I turned out."
Mrs. Young then said, "No Lou.
I was the one who made you what you are."
When she and Lou Sr. approached their son Mrs. Young, Maggie said, "Jen, you saved our son's life.
You gave him a home and loved him as he was your own.
"But it was my blood that put this curse on him," said Mrs. Young.
Lou placed his hands on Mrs. Young's shoulders and said, "You saved my life.
Sure being a Rougarou meant it was tough to get a date on a Saturday night but I am forever grateful for what you did for me."
Mrs. Young smile as did Lou as he gave her a hug.
"Hey guys.
As much as I hate to break up this happy reunion, but the vision is starting to break up," warned Maybe.
Indeed he was right, as the spirit world was breaking apart.
Maggie hugged her son and said, "We love you Lou."
"We'll always be with you," said Lou Sr, as he placed his hand on Lou Jr's who said as his voice cracked, "I'll never forget you both."
At that moment, Maman Brigette the spirit of death arrived to guide Lou's parents into the afterlife.

The scene soon changed back to Alma's shop.
"How did it go?" Soleil asked.
"From what I saw, I think it went well," Maybe replied.
"Lou are you ok?" Alma asked.
Looking up with watery eyes, Lou answered, I...I feel great.
Thank you all."

Several days later, Alma met up with Nelson and the fright krewe were enjoying some pizza at Lou's place, as it was a teacher's work day but not for the students to attend.
"How's everyone enjoying the pizza?" Lou asked, as he approached their table.
"Another great one as always," said Stanley, with a mouthful of food.
"How are you feeling Lou?" asked Missy.
"A lot better.
I haven't had a single nightmare since that Halloween.
And I thank you very much," said Lou.
"Hey, if it wasn't for you, I'd never would've made it going through becoming a rougarou."
"And you helped us defeat Belial," added Maybe.
"We wanted to do something for you," said Pat.
"In a way, you are like family," said Chuck.
"You are family," said Gia.
"They are right," said Mrs. Young.
Soliel raised her glass and said, "Here's to family."
"To family," the entire group said at the same time.
Despite having last names and not being blood-related, they were indeed like family.

The End
