This is Chapter 16 of Tales of the Decade Second Season.
Chapter 16: Destroyer Vs Conqueror!
Tsukasa, Natsumi and the others run across the hallway, hurrying as quickly as possible to reach the throne room of Dark Decade. They're this close to their destination and stopping Dai-Shocker; no point stopping now.
''How close are we to his throne room?'' Natsumi asks Kiva-la, flying beside her as the little bat is leading the group where the Great Leader's throne room is located.
''We should be close mooch~!'' She informs them, cooing. Natsumi still looks worried since Dark Decade is so strong that he easily bested Tsukasa as Decade Complete.
''Is this a good idea?'' She asks Tsukasa who responds certainly. ''Might as well. We won't have another shot this close.''
Natsumi just nods, needing to remember that she's now a Rider like Tsukasa and it causes her to blush. Finally, she can fight alongside him, Layla, Daiki-
And then she frowns from what Tsukasa told her about Sougo. It's not right he took a dangerous blow, protecting Tsukasa and- No, he has to be alive.
''I hope Dragonic finds him, safe and sound.'' She expresses, hoping he is okay.
''… Yea.'' Tsukasa just mutters, hoping he is okay. Natsumi can tell that Tsukasa is worried for him even after they had a rough first start like their Yusuke; Tsukasa respects Sougo and what he went through. He reached for their help to stop Dark Decade and now it's up to them to finish what he started. Hopefully, he'll-
''EEEIII!'' Natsumi startles, turning around and stopping along with the others to see a large crowd of Dai-Shocker foot solder monsters, all standing in their way.
''Oh look, a welcome party.'' Tsukasa comments with a smug smirk, strapping on his Decadriver. ''Guess we have to fight them.''
''Absol!'' Layla barks angrily as she also is picking up a strange scent; something familiar but evil. Could it be Dark Decade?
''Let's do it then, together!'' Natsumi proclaims rather excitedly, finally able to transform alongside Tsukasa. ''Kiva-la!''
Kiva-la flies in a loop to Natsumi's hand as she holds her forward as Tsukasa taps a Rider Card in his hand.
''Hen-'' The two began to chant until suddenly something dashes in between them as a blur and slashes down the front line of monsters, shredding them into small explosions.
''W-woah! What was that?!'' Natsumi asks, actually able to see the blur attacking and destroying even more Dai-Shocker minions, all trying to do something but the thing is moving so fast for them to react as if time for them is slowed down.
''Clock Up.'' Tsukasa informs her, recognizing this insane movement. This astonished Natsumi as she questions, really confused. ''Woah, who's doing all of this?'' She already assumes one of Daiki's summons or maybe it's Tendo. Tsukasa… however, knows who it is.
''… You're not going to like it.'' He warns her, leaving Natsumi very bewildered. Soon all the minions are destroyed and stopping in its tracks, the thing turns around to face the group and immediately Layla and Natsumi make alarming expressions, not believing what they're staring upon. It is revealed to be the chimera-like Frankenstein monster composed of the 10 Heisei rider monsters; Edaced.
''T-that's not…'' Natsumi begins to utter out of disbelief, taking a step back. Layla growls angrily, not mistaken by the scent. Jigglypuff trembles behind Natsumi while Kiva-la hums with interest.
Tsukasa, smirking, walks up to the familiar enemy, calling out to him. ''I'm surprised the one to help us this entire time, with the Neo Heisei Riders and now this, was all your doing.''
Edaced turns around, gazing upon Tsukasa who stands in his view him with both hands in his pocket
''It's been a long time…'' Tsukasa begins to say as the monster morphs and changes, becoming the human with the fisherman outfit; the man who vowed to kill Decade. ''Narutaki.''
Natsumi sweats before she starts breathing in panic, her expression full of horror.
''It is a dread to see you too, Decade.'' Adjusting his glasses, Narutaki comments with a scowl expression. Tsukasa still smirks; somethings don't change.
''A-Ab-sol…'' Layla mutters in shock. Natsumi still has the most horrific expression she's ever made, literally seeing a nightmare she thought was gone and dead as she utters out too. ''T-that's not… possible…''
''Oh, so this is the infamous Narutaki huh?'' Kiva-la asks, fully aware of him and all the evil he's done. No response as the bat looks at Natsumi's hand as it is slowly squeezed into a tight fist.
Tsukasa cracks a small chuckle, staring at his previous nemesis and finding it really ironic that this man doesn't understand what being destroyed is. Then again, he is his A.R. version. Honestly, not so surprising either.
''You know; I was wondering if I would cross paths with you again.'' Tsukasa proclaims, wagging his right index finger. Narutaki simply scoffs as he questions him. ''You're not surprised then.''
Tsukasa just smirks as he says. ''Why should I? You and I are Tsukasa Kadoya so it's only likely if my power to come back from the dead would apply with you too.''
''Absol-Absol!'' Layla barks in protests, not possible since that would mean he should have returned much sooner and likely come after them too. Tsukasa agrees as he says. ''You're right Layla. If that was the case, simply remembering him would have had him return sooner than later.''
Tsukasa then becomes a bit serious as he then proclaims. ''And the other problem is I was brought back by strong memories and stories I've made along my first journey but none would have strong emotions for Narutaki since his is what most would considered "evil".''
Narutaki scoffs at his assumption that he is the evil one. Some things haven't changed with him as he corrects him firmly. ''Call it how you want it, Decade, but my crusader in killing you and eliminating the Riders are of good intentions.''
Natsumi grits her teeth harder because of what he said.
''Whatever makes you happy.'' Tsukasa mocks him with a smile. Narutaki scoffs again, adjusting his glasses, as he begins saying his last question. ''Now as to why I'm-'' However, he is immediately interrupted by Natsumi, speaking up rather puzzled and staggered. ''Good… intentions?''
This surprises everyone, even Tsukasa, who turns around to look at Natsumi and now her expression of dread has become of anger and fury; actually startling him. She breathes deeply, recalling that night she found her beloved grandfather lying on the floor, killed and all of it done by this man who pursued Tsukasa to kill him. It makes her mad, furious, enraged and all she did when she learned the truth is breakdown, cry for her pain and losses… but no longer!
''WHAT DO YOU CALL GOOD INTENTIONS ABOUT KILLING MY GRANDPA AND MY TSUKASA-KUN!'' Natsumi screams out, her eyes glowing pink to Tsukasa's surprise as she runs past him and comes charging right towards Narutaki.
''KIVA-LA!'' She calls out screaming, needing her power. The white mechanic bat sighs as she flies into Natsumi's right palm as she screams, still charging at him as her eyes glow more. ''HENSHIN!'' Her body is covered in lavender energy and shatters apart, transformed into Kiva-la already wielding her saber. She doesn't even think twice, thrusting her sword right through his chest but Narutaki reacts and transforms into his monster form, tanking the strike and it pushes him back, sparks flying out of him.
Wiping off the damage, Edaced observes the fully transformed white female rider and comments rather disappointed. ''So you've become a Rider too. Poor girl, you've chose a path of death.''
''SHUT UP!'' Kiva-la yells enraged, coming at him with thrusting rapier-like strikes that the Frankenstein-like monster blocks with its forearms and then swings its tail that Kiva-la repels and then boots him across the gut, pushing him back.
''You took someone I loved! You dared harm the Riders who fight for everyone! And you killed my Tsukasa-kun!'' Kiva-la expresses furiously to Tsukasa's surprise, taken back by this. She… she really cares for him but also how furious Natsumi she truly is.
''I WON'T BE HELPLESS ANYMORE TO THE LIKES OF YOU!'' Kiva-la declares to Edaced as she swipes her blade with her free hand, wrapping energy around it as the Kiva-la belt announces excitedly. ''WAKE UP~!''
Kiva-la's shoulder pads open up and spread, revealing to be a pair of large silver bat wings. She flies right at him, thrusting her blade right at him with insane speed. Edaced prepares himself as Kiva-la thrusts only for her blade to be caught and stopped in her tracks by Dragonic. This shocks the white rider as the little purple dragon grips his right claw tightly on the blade, keeping it in place.
''Woah, easy Natsumi-chan!'' The purple dragon calms her down, smiling as Kiva-la utters in surprise. ''Dragonic?''
Tsukasa sighs, astonished that he showed up in the best of times. Dragonic also sighs, relieved he arrived just as he did as he tells her, gently pushing her sword down. ''Like Tsukasa-kun said, he's not here as our enemy.''
He observes Kiva-la, impressed her power has grown this fast for her second time transforming and it was through her emotions. Makes sense to him.
''It seems more of your Fangire's emotions are showing now. At least you've not become a full version like Doctor Shinigami.'' The dragon theorizes, looking down and up at the white rider by her emotional growth. He just smiles as he admits happily. ''But you're beautifully strong now, Natsumi- I mean Kiva-la.''
Kiva-la doesn't say a thing though poses innocently before her body glows and changes back with Natsumi blushing bright red but still angry towards Edaced.
''So you knew.'' Tsukasa asks him as the purple dragon nods, aware that Doctor Shinigami was the Eijiro Hikari of this world. He does explain why he didn't say anything sooner. ''If I told her; she would not take it well.''
Tsukasa looks away, admitting that he's not wrong.
Dragonic turns to Natsumi and apologizes for not saying anything sooner. ''I'm sorry, Natsumi-chan.''
''I-It's okay.'' Natsumi accepts his apology as she would not handle the truth either.
Edaced scoffs at this moment as a voice speaks up. ''Ah, I see he decided to show himself in person.''
Tsukasa and the others turn to see Daiki arriving with Selina on her shoulder. He scoffs, wondering when he would show up as he tells him, pointing his thumb at Edaced. ''Kaito, the term acquaintance to describe Narutaki is a poor term.''
''Fair enough.'' Daiki admits with a smirk though he didn't want to spoil the surprise with the term ''Nemesis''.
Tsukasa now eyes the monster and asks him with a cocky smirk. ''So, how are you alive before Natsumi changes her mind about killing you?''
Edaced looks at them before he changes back to Narutaki, adjusting his glasses and begins saying with a sense of uncertainty. ''I… do not know. I felt the times you all thought of me when I was in limbo but none of your memories let me return back to the world of the living.''
He can recall that void; empty with nothing. No sense, no feeling; absolutely nothing without a form or body. It was a fate worse than death, floating there and nothing but his own mind to think and even then it felt like he was going to go mad.
''I was inside my own realm, trapped in a conscious drifting way many times. At times, I was able to bring myself back but only to lose myself again.'' He expresses with disgust, thinking he was dying all over again until that happened. ''It was hell and no end like a punishment until I suddenly return back to life.''
Unable to explain it; he suddenly manifests back to reality, body and all. It overwhelmed him as if he was in a long deep dream but he knew then he was alive again and more; he knew what was happening too.
''I don't understand how or why it happened but I knew it was not important with the knowledge of Dark Decade I also got.'' Narutaki explains, not entirely sure how he got this information but nonetheless; Dark Decade is a being he cannot best. He gazes at Tsukasa and admits with a tone of disdain. ''I despise you Decade but Dark Decade is a monster that even I must work beside with you, temporality, to put down.''
''I feel the same exact way with you.'' Tsukasa openly admits as well; preferring to kill Narutaki but Dark Decade must be stopped first. He then theorizes what he's been doing all this time. ''You knew if you told the Neo Heisei to find me and fight me will do a similar effect that I earn from the other riders in the Rider War to gain their powers.''
Natsumi blinks as she recalls how almost all of the Neo Heisei Riders knew who Tsukasa was. For Tsukasa, it was the devil part that got him to realize that this was Narutaki's doing.
''Precisely. You would gain their powers faster and push your limits again.'' Narutaki responds, having seen that himself when he lost to Decade last time. The same can be used to make him strong enough for Dark Decade. However, he knows best to test such a risk without helping as well. If they all-
''EEEIII!'' The group becomes alarmed as they turn around to see a massive hoard of Dai-Shocker Monster Minions appear, nearly filling up the whole long hallway.
''More of them?!'' Natsumi utters in shock with Daiki whistling, certain this is the Great Leader to drain their strengths so he can beat them.
Narutaki just snarls unimpressed as he tells Tsukasa, not having a choice but to change his plans. ''I shall deal with these flies and once I'm done, I'll assist you.''
''Good with me.'' Tsukasa agrees with him. Dragonic nods as he orders the group. ''Well let's leave it to him.''
Natsumi doesn't say a word, staring at Narutaki's back before she turns around and runs off as the others follow suit. Tsukasa stays behind, looking back at him before turning his back.
''This doesn't change anything.'' Tsukasa quickly stops, figuring Narutaki would have something to say as he vows firmly with a glaring face at the large army of monsters. ''Once Dark Decade is finished; we will finish what we started, Decade.''
Tsukasa just sighs, disappointed by his response but he isn't surprised.
''I know.'' He responds firmly before he then tells him firmly. ''And don't forget I made a promise to Natsumikan that I would avenge her grandfather's death. That promise will never end until you are destroyed completely.''
Tsukasa gazes towards Narutaki and vows to her. ''And I don't intend to fail her.'' He soon runs off, catching up to the others.
''…'' Narutaki remains silent, simply pushing his glasses forward before he transforms back into Edaced and charges forward at the large hordes of monsters.
Tsukasa and the group run through the hallway until Kiva-la stops them, pointing at the far end door up ahead. That's the throne room.
''This is it.'' Natsumi mutters, rather scared that they're finally here. Daiki just stares serious, finally able to finish things.
Tsukasa doesn't say a word as he takes a step forward and immediately Dragonic flies up in front of them.
''… Tsukasa, everyone.'' He begins to proclaim, surprising Tsukasa, that he didn't add the kun part to his name, meaning that the dragon is serious. ''This is where I'll ask if I can hold onto Layla and Jiggly.'' He then narrows his eyes towards Daiki, mainly Selina on his shoulder. ''And your cat too.''
Layla and the other Pokémon blink as Natsumi asks him puzzled. ''You're not going to fight beside us, Dragonic?''
''I would have but something changed.'' Dragonic begins to say, frowning as he recalls the figure he spoke to. ''It's… complicated. I'll explain after Dark Decade is defeated. That and Dark Decade will no doubt kill these three if they fight beside you 3.''
''… Fair.'' Tsukasa agrees under his terms as does Daiki. Natsumi feels the same, scared they would get really hurt or worse. Layla whines, also not wanting to die, again.
''So I guess we'll need a 4th.'' Daiki suggests, thinking they'll need all the strength to win. Tsukasa doesn't say a word and just smirks. He twirls his right hand's wrist before pointing his index and middle finger up high. Just then an Aurora Curtain manifests and moves downward, phasing through the ground and vanishing but leaves something for all to see and Natsumi's eyes blush of embarrassment.
The one who dropped on the ground is the A.R. Yusuke, his pants down as he was in the toilet. He blinks awkwardly, just finishing his business until he falls down and lands on who knows where he is.
''Huh? Where's the-'' He begins utterly really confused until Tsukasa walks up to him and greets him with a smug smirk. ''Yo, Yusuke.''
Yusuke blinks awkwardly, looking up and panics, followed by a loud shout. ''W-WHAT THE HELL?! TSUKASA?!'' He pulls up fast, quickly trying to pull up his boxers and pants up, securing his belt. ''I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF USING THE BATHROOM!''
Tsukasa could tell as Dragonic pulls out a bottle of hand sanitizer and tosses it to Yusuke who catches it just barely. He blinks and sighs, applying the liquid and rubs his hands.
''Um nice to see you too, Yusuke-kun.'' Natsumi spoke nervously yet embarrassed that the first thing she saw in seeing him for a long time was his butt. Yusuke blushes also embarrassed as he greets her back, rubbing the back of his hair. ''Eh yea, same here Natsumi-chan…'' He then turns and startles to see Kaito too. ''And Daiki too?''
Tsukasa sighs as he has to speed up what is happening to the guy who is living under a rock. A.R Yusuke is overwhelmed with all Tsukasa told him and taken back. A dark Decade, a Dai-Shocker, Zi-O, other Riders and now they're in the final battle.
''And I didn't know there was an another evil Tsukasa.'' He openly admits with Tsukasa sighing in agreement. ''Welcome to my world.''
Yusuke oddly smiles as it must hurt his ego that there's another him who's probably more evil than Narutaki.
''Well I guess I can complete what I was tricked into doing but to this evil Decade.'' He then says, not expecting he would put down a Decade. Tsukasa just snarls with a small smirk, saying. ''I'm sure Narutaki will be thrilled to see you again.''
''HE'S ALIVE?!'' Yusuke shouts out in shock with Tsukasa sighing annoyed, simply saying. ''Just like the old days…'' He becomes serious, facing the door. ''Let's go.''
He walks forward along with Daiki and Natsumi. Yusuke blinks and nods, catching up to them.
''Absol!'' Layla barks at them, wishing them luck as does Jigglypuff. ''Jiggly!''
''Nyan-Nyan~!'' Selina purrs to Daiki, hoping he comes back so they steal everything here.
Dragonic watches silently as the group walks towards the door, uttering softly. ''… Good luck, everyone.''
''You have a plan right?'' Yusuke asks Tsukasa who smirks, indeed having a plan… if it works the way he thinks it will work.
Sitting on his throne chair, the Great Leader ponders alone. He's felt Junichi's defeat and even Doctor Shinigami. Along with Apollogeist gone and Shadow Moon; he has no one left.
''…'' He just smirks at this silent thought as he'll find other versions of them and rebuild his court. For now, he has guests to deal with.
Soon the front door of his room is blasted off as the Great Leader begins welcoming him. ''Welcome to my domain…'' The doors fly off, revealing to be Tsukasa and Daiki blasting them off with their weapons. ''Decade.''
The two put away their weapons as they, along with Natsumi and Yusuke step inside, all of them staring at the Great Leader. Yusuke gulps as Tsukasa isn't kidding; he does look like him but evil.
''I would have asked one of my servants to bring you a drink but they're all so occupied or dead.'' The Great Leader speaks up with a taunting smirk. Tsukasa scoffs as he tells him off. ''You would have poisoned it anyway.''
The Great Leader just narrows his eyes a bit before he says with a small smirk. ''But I am happy you finally arrived. You've made a mess to my world.'' His fingers steeple tightly as he glares coldly. ''I can't acknowledge such rudeness.''
Tsukasa glares as Daiki then declares irritation. ''I'm done listening and looking at you!''
''You keep amusing me, Daiki. Bitter till the very end.'' The Great Leader then says with a smug, amusing grin to see him react like that. His stare now looks towards Natsumi, smirking as he assumes her. ''And you're the reason why Doctor Shinigami was so obsessive. It would have been interesting to have met your version of my world.''
Natsumi glares upsetly as Kiva-la swoops in front of her, protecting her as she taunts the Great Leader. ''Sorry, she's taken with a much more handsome version of yourself, smooch~''
He smirks at her responses before his vision turns towards Yusuke and he frowns, unimpressed by this one. Yusuke sweat drops as he says awkwardly. ''Um we just met.''
''…'' The Great Leader still frowns at his attitude before he gazes at Tsukasa and proclaims with a smirk. ''Let's change the environment.''
He snaps his fingers as the room begins to shake and the ground begins to move upward like an elevator. Natsumi and Yusuke both gulp while Tsukasa and Daiki remain calm. The ceiling above them opens up, also revealing more ceilings opening until the floor arrives, on top of the rooftop of the castle.
Natsumi looks around, grabbing onto her skirt as a strong breeze of wind blows.
''Is this more of your liking?'' The Great Leader asks Tsukasa who smirks, acting unimpressed. ''It's doable.''
The conqueror looks at him, still sitting down as he then asks him. ''Before we begin, I wish to ask you a question.''
Tsukasa looks at him, willingly to listen.
''Do you know the difference between you and I? The Destroyer and the Conqueror?'' The Great Leader ultimately asks his other self of another world, leaning his right arm on top of his throne's armchair and touching the side of his face.
''… Enlighten me.'' Tsukasa tells him back, not going to play his game. The Great Leader just smirks as he protests with a taunt. ''That wouldn't be fun. How about we guess the other's difference? I'll be fair and start first.''
Tsukasa just glares with his arms crossed. The Great Leader still looks down at him as he begins. ''The task of the Destroyer, you, is to destroy any world or being you deem unworthy or dangerous to exist. Villain, human or Rider alike.'' His eyes narrowed, almost fixated upon him as he described his life with a mockery, uncaring voice. ''But it seems through the death of your sister; you saw the importance and value of life. And because of that girl next to you, the one my doctor would call his granddaughter; you saw the need to protect life and honor it for every person you come across.''
He soon snickers that Tsukasa makes a firm glare, having read him as a book as he then says with a mockery voice. ''In a way; you are the Destroyer and yet the Protector of Worlds.'' He soon grins, asking him. ''Am I wrong?''
Natsumi frowns at how cruel he said those things about Tsukasa and all he went through.
''… Protector huh? Doesn't have the same ring as Destroyer.'' Tsukasa, putting up a front, responds with a small smirk. ''But you're right.''
The conqueror smirks, figuring as much as he then asks him. ''Your turn then.''
Tsukasa gazes at him, looking up and down at his other version. He begins to theorize that he must have studied and guessed his type of being from his minions and reflecting himself. He thinks for a bit more before he realizes the kind of man the Conqueror of Worlds is; reflecting himself in reverse and how Sayo of this world compared them both.
''… You never lost anyone or anything. You traveled through the worlds at a younger age and one day you came across something; a world being conquered. Maybe it was a civil war between two sides and one of them won. You enjoyed that scene, the moment, and you found it thrilling after the dullness of your boring life. I should know, I was once bored if not for this.'' Tsukasa begins describing his other self as he holds up his camera, dangling around his neck. The Great Leader just glares, not remembering a camera ever given to him. Then again, he will always accept something that is "worthless".
Tsukasa then pulls out a photograph, showing it to the others as he informs them. ''Sayo gave me this: A photograph you made.''
Natsumi and the others study it and startle: It looks flawless, perfect photo.
''It's… perfect!'' Yusuke utters but Tsukasa frowns, correcting him. ''No.'' He moves it in a slight way so that for a brief moment, the colors of the photograph are inverted black and white and the image is also reversed in both versions.
''The photo is in reversed and moving it in a specific way reveals the colors are inverted black and white.'' Tsukasa explains, putting the photograph away as he looks up at his evil counterpart with a glare. ''Unlike my photos that are the worst images and yet show the tenderness of humanity; yours lack any of that. Even a child could take a photograph and still look imperfect yet have heart.''
The Great Leader looks at him with a scowl as Tsukasa further tells him. ''You don't desire to capture the image of worlds, their memories; you simply want those worlds like new toys.'' He moves his right arm across this simple gray world, calling him out. ''This world is yours, bored of life and yet you rule it with fear and power! How is that life?''
No responses from the Conqueror. Tsukasa raises his right hand and soon snaps that hand's fingers, concluding. ''If I am a Destroyer yet Protector; you are a Conqueror yet Ruler of Worlds. And an unfit ruler on top of that.''
The Great Leader glares even madder by the remark. Tsukasa forms a small smirk, taunting him back. ''Am I right?''
''…'' No response from the Great Leader, now fully irritated by his insults. He, an unfit ruler; such words will be responded in kind.
''… I think we answer the other's question.'' The Great Leader proclaims firmly with a face of irritation. ''Now, it's time to see which one of us has the right to be called Decade.''
''Clearly it's me. After all…'' Tsukasa begins to say, waving his arm to his comrades beside him. ''I have comrades, allies and friends counting on me and willing to fight beside me.'' He points at the so-called Conqueror. ''And you have no one but minions, dead ones on top of that.''
''Then I intend to erase all of them and you along with them.'' The Great Leader vows, going to destroy them all to main his rule and power.
''No. The only thing that will be destroy will be you!'' Tsukasa protests with a determined glare, pointing his finger at him. ''I will destroy you and Dai-Shocker, here and now!''
The Great Leader smirks, finally standing up from his throne as he straps on the Dark Decadriver. Tsukasa straps on his own Decadriver, declaring to his comrades for their help. ''Lend me your strength, Natsumi, Kaito, Yusuke!''
Daiki twirls the Diendriver, sliding in a Rider Card. Yusuke nods, arm posing as the Kuuga belt manifests around his waist. Natsumi raises her right hand forward as Kiva-la flies around until she lands in her hand. Tsukasa soon pulls out a Rider Card, towards the Great Leader who does the same, showing his Rider Card and both tapping it twice before sliding it into their own drivers.
''KAMEN RIDE!'' Both the Decadriver and Diendriver announce as the Dark Decadriver announces in a deeper, dark tone. ''KAMEN RIDE…''
''Henshin!'' Tsukasa and the group immediately shout as Dark Tsukasa announces cold yet calm. ''Henshin.'' Both Tsukasa and the Great Leader push the lever of their belts as Daiki fires a shot up over his head.
''DECADE / DIEND!'' Both drivers announce as Tsukasa and Daiki transform into Decade and Diend as Yusuke becomes Kuuga and Natsumi is covered in pink energy, shattering and transforming into Kiva-la.
''DARK DECADE!'' The Dark Decadriver announces as the Great Leader walks down slowly from his throne, transforming piece by piece for each step before becoming Dark Decade, his visor eyes glowing menacingly.
Kuuga gulps at how different yet similar he looks to Decade… though the part that surprises him is that Natsumi can transform now!
''Natsumi is a rider now?!'' Kuuga utters out loud, causing Decade to grunt and order him. ''Focus!''
A.R Kuuga just nods as Decade walks up forward while Dark Decade approaches him back. The two stand apart from each other, looking directly at the other as wind blows between them.
''Shall we dance?'' Decade asks him in a taunt only for Dark Decade to reply coldly. ''One foot near the grave.''
Almost like blurs, Decade and Dark Decade dash and clash, locking fists as sparks flying out between them. They back away only to clash punches again, sparks still flying out from each clash so much so that the world around them shakes violently by their sheer power. Kuuga can feel this as if being near them will break him apart.
Decade and Dark Decade eventually take a hit each, pushing the other back only for the other to grind their feet on the ground and charge right back at the other with a kick. Suddenly, Diend appears in between the two Decades and his Diendriver aims at Dark Decade's chest and fires rapid shots upon him, sparks flying out as he's blasted backwards. Decade stops in his tracks as Diend reminds him playfully. ''This is as much my dance than yours, Tsukasa-san. I'll gladly share, just this once.''
Decade scoffs though humorous, nodding.
Snickering, the two riders look at Dark Decade, brushing off the damage he took and taunts Diend. ''This is so ironic that you hate me Daiki and yet you prefer him, the one with the same face as I.''
''… Wrong.'' The cyan-colored rider protests his statement, pointing out his mistake. ''You're a monster that has no values, no respect for any. But Tsukasa-san is different; he cares for others and he's the only one who's ever given me a thrill to fight him or beside him. He's my soulmate.''
''… No homo.'' Decade calls him out only for Diend to tease him. ''Is it?'' Decade just grunts, hating that attitude,
Dark Decade pulls out his Ride Booker in gun form to shoot the two only for Kuuga to leap in and manage to land a kick, pushing him back. He shakes off the hit, barely feeling.
''HAAI!'' He turns fast as he's slash a few times by Kiva-la, swinging her sword swiftly before kicking him, actually twirling him around long enough for her to dash at him.
''Hikari's Secret Technique…'' Kiva-la begins to announce, sticking out her free left thumb and jabs it across his neck. ''Laughter Point: Kiva-la Special!''
This paralyzes Dark Decade, laughing uncontrollably. This lets her come at him with her Kiva-la Saber, slashing him more with swift strikes. Decade joins in as does Kuuga, both slashing/punching him down and then Diend gets from behind him and fires a destructive blast from his gun, blasting him right into his throne chair and explodes, destroying it.
Dark Decade survives though, crashing and grinding on the ground but stops himself before he falls off the rooftop. He hisses, irritated, as he stands up to see his crumbled throne and this just irritates him further.
''Now… I am mad.'' Dark Decade proclaims, pulling out his Dark Ride Booker in gun form and thrusts a card into his driver.
''ATTACK RIDE…'' The Dark Decadriver announces as Diend slides in and loads his own Rider Card into his Diendriver, announcing. ''ATTACK RIDE!'' They take aim at the other and fire their trigger.
''DARK BLAST! / DIEND BLAST!'' Both drivers announce as they fire multiple powerful shots, colliding at the other, but Diend's shots overpowered Dark Decade's until he manages and shoots him down, blasting him backwards. Diend still breathes, finding it draining as he looks at Decade and asks him. ''A little help?''
Decade pulls out a Rider Card as he explains himself. ''Sorry, I'm going to have to count on you to use the Rider Cards from this point on, Kaito.'' As he thrusts a blank card into his belt, showing that it is supposed to be a W card from the back.
''KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces but nothing happened with the error sound playing. ''ERROR!''
Decade sighs as this is the first part of his plan as he pulls out his Ride Booker in gun form and shouts at Kuuga. ''Yusuke!''
Kuuga turns and sees him tossing his Ride Booker towards him. Kuuga catches it and he and the weapon transform into Pegasus form. He nods as he takes aim and fires a powerful energy shot that hits Dark Decade, pushing him back. Diend then pulls out 2 Rider Cards and slides them into his driver, loading them in and then fires at him.
''KAMEN RIDE! KAIXA! MACH!'' The Diendriver announces as he summons his summoned riders. Mach dashes at Dark Decade with a punch as Kaixa slashes him and then both kick him to the corner. He stands his ground, brushing off the damage as he slides a card into his belt.
''KAMEN RIDE. DARK KABUTO!'' The Dark Decadriver announces as Dark Decade transforms into the dark Kabuto form. He immediately triggers Clock Up without the Attack Ride Card, dashing around like a blur and punching or kicking each rider into the air except Diend that drags him into the ground, beating him down. Both his summoned riders try to pounce at him but he moves so fast that he kicks through Mach and Kaixa, dissolving them into energy.
''KAMEN RIDE!'' Dark Decade quickly dodges a shot and then another from Diend as the beams transform into more summoned riders. ''ZERONOS! BIRTH!''
The two riders come at Dark Decade with Birth firing rapid shots that he dodges around as he flips his Ride Booker to sword form and parries a slash from Zeronos weapon before slashing him down.
Kuuga flips the Ride Booker in sword form as he and the weapon transform into Titan Form, and comes swinging at Dark Decade along with Kiva-la. Dark Decade blocks and clashes with their sword swings, sparks flying out as he dodges as Diend tries to shoot him down. Decade leaps over him and kicks Dark Decade back who stands his ground.
Landing, Decade pulls out a blank Rider Card, tapping on the card as it shows to be a OOO card before dunking it into his driver.
''KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver begins to announce but instead it gets another error. ''ERROR!''
Dark Decade doesn't notice this at first as he thrusts a card into his belt.
''KAMEN RIDE…'' The Dark Decadriver announces as he transforms into… ''DUKE!'' He twirls his bow-like weapon and comes at Birth and Zeronos, slashing one across the chest as he kicks both in a row and shoots an energy shot that takes them both out.
Diend isn't discouraged, pulling out 4 Rider Cards and loads them into his blaster, firing multiple shots.
''KAMEN RIDE! G3! IBUKI! BEAST! SPECTER!'' The Diendriver announces as the orbs surround Dark Decade-Duke and become the declared Riders. Ibuki fires a sonic blast from his trumpet-like weapon that Dark Decade repels with arrow shots but not a missile from G3's rocket launcher, blasting him back. Specter vanishes in and out, appearing behind Dark Decade and kicks him into Beast who body tackles him with the Buffo form. Then both Kiva-la and Kuuga deliver a double slash at the stunned rider, sending Dark Decade backwards. Decade rushes at him, thrusting another blank card, this time being a Fourze Rider Card as he pushes the levers forward.
''KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver begins to announce only to get another error. ''ERROR!'' He still manages to kick him hard, nearly knocking him out of the rooftop.
''Why is it keep giving you an error?'' Kuuga asks, puzzled by this only for Decade to answer him. ''All part of the plan.''
Dark Decade stands up and fires multiple shots, taking out a few of the summons and blasting most of the ground as a piece of pipe metal lands in front of Kuuga.
''Tsukasa, you can have this back!'' Kuuga declares, tossing back the detransform Ride Booker back to Decade who catches it with ease. Kuuga then kicks up the metal rod, catching it as he and the rod transform into Dragon form. He soon leaps over Dark Decade and kicks him from the back as Decade and Kiva-la charge, swiping the back end of their swords, before slashing him across the chest. Sparks fly out as it knocks Dark Decade out of his current form.
''KAMEN RIDE! KNIGHT! IXA! ACCEL! BARON!'' Dark Decade panics as he touches the ground quickly in the air, launching himself upward to evade multiple shots from Diend that become the summoned riders. All four come at Dark Decade who pulls out his Ride Booker and repels the slashes with his own but their slashes do manage to hit him and sparks fly out at him.
Grunting by this annoyance, Dark Decade thrusts a card into his belt.
''KAMEN RIDE. NEGA DEN-O!'' The Dark Decadriver announces as he becomes the dark Den-O. He twirls both the Ride Booker and a dark DenGasher, coming at the four summons and slashes them with no mercy. He then comes at Decade who blocks his first kicks with his Ride Booker before Dark Decade gives him the boot and launches away as he evades Kiva-la's sword swings and Kuuga's rod strikes.
Decade hits the wall but brushes it off, pulling out a blank Rider Card, showing its back having the Wizard symbol, before he thrusts it into his driver.
''KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver begins to announce but nothing happens. ''ERROR!''
This is the fourth time Dark Decade notices it and the fourth time Decade refuses to fight him at full strength; pissing him off. He pulls back as Diend misses his shots.
''You worms have bored me now.'' Dark Decade proclaims, pulling out a Rider Card and thrusts it into his driver.
''KAMEN RIDE. POSEIDON!'' The Dark Decadriver announces as he becomes Poseidon, twirling his spear weapon and summons surges of water, consuming all 4 riders in a typhoon of water before he swings his weapon downward and the water explodes on impact.
Decade, Diend and Kiva-la roll away badly hurt as Kuuga crashes near Dark Decade, grunting as he pulls himself up. Dark Decade hums as Kuuga comes charging, yelling out as his body erupts in black and golden energy. He transforms into Rising Ultimate form, leaping at him with a punch that Dark Decade changes back to base form and clashes that punch right back.
''I don't know why someone as evil as you exist but now I know why Tsukasa is a real hero compare to you!'' Kuuga declares proudly, not going to allow his evil to exist. He pushes him back, coming swinging with fierce barrages but Dark Decade's eyes glow and uses Clock-Up without a Rider Card, evading his fists with ease before kick stomping him back.
''Nani?!'' Kuuga utters in confusion as he comes at him only for Dark Decade to catch his fist, his body erupting in power grander than the Ultimate form.
''Even the power of the Ultimate Darkness means nothing to the power I have; the power of the Demon King!'' Dark Decade proclaims proudly as he dunks the Rider Card into his belt. Kuuga tries to pull away but Dark Decade holds his grip onto him, locking him in place. Kuuga tries to kick him but it doesn't even faze him, holding his Ride Booker in gun form.
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE.'' The Dark Decadriver announces as Dark Decade takes aim at Kuuga's stomach without looking and presses the trigger. ''DARK DECADE!'' A destructive black energy blast hits and consumes Kuuga, blasting him away so hard that his belt cracks and shatters. He hits the ground, rolling away as his transformation becomes undone.
''YUSUKE!'' Kiva-la screams in horror. Yusuke groans in pain, noticing the destruction of the Arcle.
''M-My belt…'' He utters in disbelief, not possible that just happened. Decade is shocked by the power that Dark Decade is surging with energy, very foreign to him.
Dark Decade twirls his Ride Booker to sword form as he gazes towards Kiva-la, proclaiming. ''Your turn.'' He comes charging but Decade intercepts, sparks flying between their swords. Kiva-la watches and can't stand around. She dashes in alongside Decade, striking upon Dark Decade as Diend loads 4 cards into his driver.
''KAMEN RIDE! GARREN! GATACK! METEOR! CROSS-Z!'' The Diendriver announces as Diend fires his shots, curving around Decade and Kiva-la as they become the 4 summoned riders. Garren fires multiple shots over Dark Decade, damaging him and pushing him back as Meteor unleashes a barrage of precise palm strikes before slamming him with a Jupiter uppercut attack. The impact sends him flying up as he's swung around left to right by Gatack's Clock-Up before slamming him down to Cross-Z who delivers a destructive fire punch, sending him flying and rolling onto the ground.
Kiva-la gasps astonished by the teamwork while Decade slides another blank Rider Card, this time being a Gaim card, into his belt's card inserter.
''KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver once more announces but like the other times; it gets another error. ''ERROR!''
That sound pisses Dark Decade, standing up and thrusting a Rider Card into his driver.
''KAMEN RIDE. ODIN!'' The Dark Decadriver announces as Dark Decade becomes Odin. Diend doesn't waste time, sliding and loading a Rider Card into his driver.
''ATTACK RIDE! CROSSATTACK!'' The Diendriver announces as all four summoned riders unleash their final attacks towards Dark Decade-Odin until he slowly slides a card into his driver.
''ATTACK RIDE. TIME VENT!'' The Dark Decadriver announces as time starts rewinding so much so that time resumes before Diend summons his four riders. He startles as Dark Decade teleports in front of him and slashes him hard, knocking him away. He then teleports to Decade, slashing him too and then teleports in front of Kiva-la, slashing her too. She screams, sparks flying out as he continues assaulting very brutally as he grabs her neck, squeezing her.
''Die.'' He proclaims, choking her as Kiva-la screams or struggles to.
Forced to back down from his plan on mere impulse, Decade rushes at the two as he thrusts a card into his belt, pushing its levers forward.
''KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver begins to announce as Decade is coated in dark magenta energy and leaps forward, delivering a punch at Dark Decade-Odin as he transforms into the destroyer Decade. ''DECADE! VIOLENT EMOTIONS!'' His dark magenta energy punch bashes the darker Decade away, knocking him back to base form.
Decade breathes heavily as he turns to Kiva-la and orders her, showing his Final Attack Card to her. ''Natsumi!''
Kiva-la looks at it and nods, understanding as crosses her arms.
''WAKE UP~!'' The Kiva-la belt announces as Decade dunks his card into his driver, announcing. ''FINAL ATTACK RIDE!''
Both leap up, diving down towards Dark Decade and perform a Ride Kick as the Decadriver announces. ''DECADE!''
Dark Decade quickly thrusts a card into his belt as he catches onto both kicks with black energy shields. The two riders just shout out, powering through the shields as they shatter through them, about to kick upon-
''KAMEN RIDE…'' The Dark Decadriver announces as Dark Decade immediately transforms into… ''GENM GOD MAXIMUM GAMER!'' Extending his fists with greater force, Dark Decade-Genm slams Decade into the large antenna tower and throws Kiva-la hard into the ground. The arms pull back as he suddenly vanishes before Diend can fire at him.
Kiva-la stands up fast, looking around as she sees Decade pulling himself out of the tower. However, she doesn't notice Dark Decade is behind her, wielding his Ride Booker sword form, as he thrusts a card into his driver and pushes its levers. Yusuke sees this and warns her. ''NATSUMI, BEHIND YOU!''
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE.'' Too late, The Dark Decadriver announces as Kiva-la gasps and turns around fast but she's too slow as Dark Decade instead slashes her first across her bottom waist. ''DARK DECADE!'' His sword fires a dark energy wave so fierce that Kiva-la screams as does the belt before the wave explodes on impact.
''GAAAWWW!'' She screams as her body glows and knocks Natsumi out of her transformed form before hitting the ground and Kiva-la hits the ground, sparks flying all over her. Natsumi grunts, trying to pull herself up only to see her partner in such a damaged state.
''Kiva-la!'' She yells out in distress, crawling towards her damaged partner who simply utters in defeat. ''S-sorry… Natsumi…'' His body glows and fades away instantly. Natsumi widens her eyes as she starts crying, not believing she just lost her like this. She slams her hands on the floor, sobbing harder.
Decade, reverted to base, looks at her and can't help but clenched his fists in fury.
''Bastard!'' Diend yells out at the darker Decade. Decade looks down at Natsumi and pats her head, calming her down as she looks up at him. She can't see his expression due to his mask but she can tell Tsukasa won't let him get away with this.
Decade walks up next to Diend, pulling out his K-Touch. Dark Decade sees this and snickers, proclaiming. ''Decade Complete huh? Go ahead. Henshin.''
The magenta rider just growls as he swaps it with the Decadriver, placing it to his right waist side as he tells Diend. ''Kaito, I don't know if I can beat him with just Decade Complete.''
Diend looks at him and tries to snicker before he tells him. ''You don't have to worry.'' He reaches and pulls out his own K-Touch, shocking the group.
''T-that's!'' Natsumi utters in surprise while Dark Decade sees that and groans irritated, fully aware that it was supposed to be Dark Diend's. ''Junichi, that traitor.''
Diend looks at him, waving the device towards him before he declares. ''This one goes to my brother.'' He straps the device to the center of his belt as Decade swaps it with the Decadriver.
"KUUGA, AGITO, RYUKI, FAIZ, BLADE, HIBIKI, KABUTO, DEN-O, KIVA!'' The Decade K-Touch announces one by one of each main rider's names as their logos glow until they all flash, including the Decade one.
"G3, KNIGHT, KAIXA, GARREN, IBUKI, GATACK, ZERONOS, IXA!'' The Diend K-Touch announces one by one of each main rider's names as their logos glow until they all flash, including the Diend one.
Decade and Diend each press on the F letter on their own screen, announcing. ''FINAL KAMEN RIDE!''
Both Decade and Diend's bodies glow and transform.
''DECADE! COMPLETE!'' Emerging first is Decade in his final form. Diend is next as the Cyan across his suit turn black and silver similar to Decade's as his rectangle chest gains the 8 secondary Rider Cards across his chest in 2 rows while the Diend Ride Card is over his head much like Decade but with two yellow lines running down across both ends of the card. ''DIEND! COMPLETE!''
Dark Decade sees this with a scoff.
''Two Complete forms?!'' Yusuke utters in shock. Natsumi watches and slowly tries to smile, squeezing her hands to her chest. This is their last hope.
''Shall we, Tsukasa-san?'' Diend Complete asks his rival with Decade Complete swiping his Ride Booker's sword form. ''Let's, Kaito!''
The two walk up and approach slowly towards Dark Decade, being very intimidating before they dash forward. This will be their final chance.
Author's Note: Time to clarify things:
1) This is now full on Fanfic territory, using elements from the Decade series from the TV Series, Movies and even Novels (which I already used so yea).
2) Yea… guess who's back from the dead! YEA… meh... Narutaki is back but how?! WELL… Since I made Narutaki in Tales of the Decade the A.R. Version of Tsukasa, he should have the same ability to come back from the dead or from nothing by just being remembered through strong memories. The problem with that is that how Tsukasa came back was through the strong, powerful memories that Natsumi and everyone recall of him and all the good he's done. Narutaki had no such memories. Even when Tsukasa and Natsumi recalled him; those wouldn't bring him back. So something or someone else brought him back. Who? Maybe we'll find that out soon.
3) Also happy to bring back A.R. Yusuke/Kuuga for this final battle just so the group has enough firepower to handle Dark Decade… and some shocking-like humor too.
4) The difference between the Destroyer and the Conqueror. This was something fun I liked since it makes sense and shows the difference between the Tsukasa we follow and the Dark Tsukasa who's alone. Our Tsukasa saw the death of his sister and set in course the path of being a Destroyer but keeping hold to her last wish to take the world's image and gaining new memories through his journey: He values life just as much as destroying. He is a Destroyer but he will also fight for life. Dark Tsukasa had no drama to make him realize that and instead view the conquest of a world and saw how enjoyable ruling it was, making him realize his desire to conquer the images rather than simply experiencing them. I liked this take because depending how life threw at them; either Tsukasa could have become the other. You could say Dark Tsukasa is canon Tsukasa but with Amnesia and our Tsukasa is his canon counterpart who grew up a bit faster.
5) SIGH… The more I want Dark Decade canon, the more I feel like it will never happen unless Tsukasa's actor decides to return again.
6) Also, so bizarre to see Decade Violent Emotion fighting side-by-side with Kiva-la huh?! I mean if you saw that movie, you wouldn't believe it!
7) Diend Complete. Yes, this was a thing in that Den-O Trilogy Special that SOMEHOW got Daiki involved. That was the only appearance of this form for that movie. I'm not joking. He only got to be Diend Complete once and that's it. And the Rider Cards on his plate were all basically the movie villains plus Kamen Rider Skull… Let's fix that shall we.
Diend Complete for Tales of the Decade is a rival to Decade Complete (more since this is supposed to be Neo Diend Complete but Daiki is still new to the form so he doesn't have the Neo Complete version yet) and can summon a bunch of different holographic summoned riders, mainly secondary Riders, with access to their abilities. Why isn't this Neo Diend Complete? Um, too new for him.
This is an insane climax of the final battle and shows that Dark Decade is different from all the villains of Dai-Shocker. With only Decade and Neo Diend left, could they even win?
We will see the outcome of this final battle! And things will get crazier. See you next week!
