"Thank you the dinner." said Kagura
"Yes, thank you very much." Chihiro followed up.
"You girls are very welcome." Kaorin's mother replied. Kaorin stood up and began to collect everyone's dishes. "I can take care of the dishes tonight." Her mother told her as Kaorin went to grab her dish. "Are you sure?" Kaorin asked, her mother already taking the dishes from her hands. "I'm certain. Go hang out with your friends."
She kissed Kaorin on the head and carried the dishes over to the sink. Kagura and Chihiro followed Kaorin from the kitchen into her room. "This is my room." she told Kagura, opening the door for her. Kagura walked inside, surprised at how tidy it was (especially since there was another person visiting.) "You sit on the bed." she said, pointing over to her cleanly made bed. Kagura walked over to her bed and sat down, while Chihiro turned Kaorin's TV and placed a CD in the DVD player. As music began to film the room, Kaorin sat next to Kagura on the bed. "Give me your jacket." She told Kagura. The tomboy listened and took it off. "Why do you need it?"
Kaorin smiled. "I'm gonna sew it for you."
The three girls sat together, listening to the music and exchanging conversation with one another. "You know, I just realized something." Chihiro said. "All three of us have short hair."
"Huh? No we don't, Kaorin has long hair." Kagura retorted.
"No I don't." Kaorin replied, feeling her hair. "It's way above my shoulders, it's around the length of my jaw, that's enough for it to be called short."
"Hmm." Kagura thought for a moment. "I guess you're right. Speaking of hair, how come you and your mom have similar hair?"
Kaorin lightly blushed. She was slightly embarrassed. "Well, I liked my mom's hair cut a lot, so I asked for it when I was at the hairdressers."
"You and your mom look really similar as it is, if you were a little taller you two would be almost identical." Chihiro chimed in.
"How come you still call your mom "Mommy"?" Kagura asked. Kaorin was blushing even harder now.
"Um, well, uh..." She started, but trailed off.
"Ow!" She yelped shortly after. Her finger had been pricked by the needle she was sewing with. "Are you ok?" Kagura quickly asked. "I'm ok, it happens sometimes." The girl with the bobbed hair cut replied.
"She still calls her mom that cause she never grew out of it." Chihiro answered in Kaorin's place. "There's not much to it, really."
"Ohh, I gotcha. That makes sense." said Kagura.
"Um, anyway..." Kaorin quickly put forth, looking for an excuse to change the subject, "Your jacket's fixed."
She handed the coat over to her friend and encouraged her to try it on. When Kagura put it on, the sleeve fit perfectly and was as good as new. "Woah, thanks Kaorin!" She exclaimed excitedly.
"You're welcome, I'm glad I could fix it."
"I'm gonna go put it in my bag."
Kagura walked over to her bag and unzipped it.
"By the way, how come your bag was so heavy?" Kaorin inquired. Kagura heard the girl as she took off her jacket. She placed it in her bag and pulled a large, gray object out.
"Is that a kettlebell!?" Chihiro yelped out upon seeing Kagura turning around. "Yep." Kagura said.
"Why would you bring that with you??" Kaorin desperately asked.
"It's extra training, it'll help me with my endurance." She replied. Kaorin let out a sigh.
"It was so heavy..."
As Kaorin's voice trailed off, Chihiro's picked up. "Can I try lifting it?" She asked the tomboy. Kagura nodded and placed it on the ground. Chihiro approached the object and tried to lift it, but could only get it a few inches off the ground. She gently lowered it to the ground then began to pant.
"That's...*pant*...so...*pant*...heavy..." She barely let out. Chihiro looked over at Kaorin. "I have no idea how you were able to carry that to your room."
"Me neither." replied Kaorin.
