Lucy was attempting to make Charity's birthday breakfast. But it was okay, considering Victoria was taking her out for breakfast, anyway.

Lucy botched up big time as her hand went numb during it.

"What's happening to me? I thought the cure would work." Lucy sniffed, not wanting to go back to the hospital, realizing the potion she made was temporary.

Charity goes to First Watch for breakfast with Victoria. She knew the kids forgot.

"I think I'm just not going to celebrate this year, Victoria. Now that Lucy will more likely go back to the hospital and things will just be crazy, anyway, I just don't see the point." Charity says as she eats her omelet and bacon. "They never stop to ask me what I want for my birthday. They always assume I want to go big."

Victoria feels bad for her.

"If you don't want to go big, don't. It's obvious the kids do while you don't. I don't go big on my birthday. Me and Remington just spend time with each other as a mother and son. I don't mind not going big." Victoria says.

"I always tell the kids not to make a huge deal out of me, and yet they still go big. I tell them not to do that, yet they do it anyway." Charity says. "Especially Luke and Lucy. Luke loves making a big deal out of birthdays and Lucy just follows along. I'm not showing up to their big party. They refuse to listen to me, I refuse to show up. I'm sick of it after I tried to tell them multiple times not to treat my birthday like New Year's Eve!"

"I think it's because your birthday is right after Luke's. Do they even remember what a simple party is like?" Victoria asked.

"I'm sure they do, but I'm not sticking around to find out. I'm going to my sister's farm after breakfast and staying there for the day." Charity says. "They can have their big party all they want. I'm not showing up."

With Oliver, his siblings took him wherever he wanted to go. He was finally happy to be with some siblings who did what he wanted to do for a change.

Sure, Brandy and Randy usually did what he wanted, but it was a rare occasion since they rarely cross paths. Now with more siblings, Brandy was even more shy. And Randy was just being Randy.

Charity headed to Colette's farm after breakfast. Colette could see Charity was frustrated and had been crying as she let her into her home.

Colette offered Charity some tea.

"Sis, what seems to be troublin' you?" Colette asked Charity with her slight Southern accent.

Charity cried and told her everything. "I long for the days when my birthday parties were simple…just a nice cake, a few modest gifts, some homemade decorations here and there…and maybe music on the piano or the guitar. But all my family seems to care about now is going big for my birthday when it's clear that I don't want any of that. They don't listen…" Charity sniffed.

"Maybe try toning down Luke's birthday, cause I'm pretty sure they see your birthday as a big deal. Because Luke takes too much pride in his birthday. Just try and show Luke what a simple party is." Colette says, knowing Luke's usually used to seeing big parties or failed parties due to his siblings screwing things up.

"I'm not going to that party and that is final!" Charity cried.

With the siblings…

"Why don't we try going small for a change?" Leni says.

"Never!" Luke hissed. Forest finally slaps Luke until he comes to his senses.

"Fine…" Luke says. "but I'll never have a simple party."

Forest just smiled at this. Luke didn't even know what he was in for on his half birthday this year.

"Oh, my half-birthday better be perfect!" Luke screamed as Lucy had to attempt to calm Luke down.

"Sigh, I don't think he liked his sweet 16 parties." Lucy says. "I worked so hard."

"He liked those parties, so don't go there." Forest says.

Leni did most of it as she was the only one who paid attention to what people liked.

"Luke, you need to get Mom." Leni says.

Later that day, Charity was determined not to show up. Luke finds her.

"Please come home. I planned a simple party this time, I swear…" Luke sniffed.

"Sure you did…" Charity sniffed. "I know you kids never listen when I tell you what I want for my birthday."

"Leni does. I just ignore her because she's Leni." Luke says.

"She's the only one who seems to listen to me. The rest of you want to go big while I don't." Charity says.

Luke sobbed, wanting her to come.

"Let me be clear. If I see one sign of it being big, then I will leave." Charity says sternly.

They arrive back at the manor.

"Happy birthday, mom!" the siblings and cousins say as there were a few guests.

"Exactly how I remember it as a child…" Charity sniffed.

Lucy started it off by playing on the piano. Charity smiled at this.

Charity then opens her gifts. She opens Luke's first, smiling at the new camera he got her.

She also loved the locket Forest got her with the family's picture inside it.

Charity opened Shelby's gift, which was a nice sweater with stars on it. She loved it. And she also loved Shiloh's macaroni necklace.

She really liked Shane's acoustic guitar performance.

With Oliver, they went to his favorite movies, then took him out for ice cream.

After gifts, there was dancing to some lively piano music. Charity was happy to dance with Forest to this. She then danced with Shiloh, smiling at him.

"This is fun!" he says. "I like lively music!"

"So do I, sweetheart." Charity says.

After that, the food was served as everyone had lively conversations and enjoyed themselves.

"This is a party I can enjoy myself at. I don't need all the bells and whistles of a huge party." Charity says.

Luke noticed how happy his mother really was. He thinks of his own birthday and wonders if this is something he would consider.

"No way." Luke says. "I'd rather attend Lola's 4-hour pageants than go simple."

After an hour and a half of more dancing and conversation, dessert was soon ready to be served. Charity smiled. This had been a party she'd remember forever.

Luan goes to get the cake. Charity gasped at the sight of it. It said "Happy Birthday Charity" in lavender icing against the white frosting. It even had edible lavender roses on it.

"How many candles?" Charity asked. There were 53 of them, all lit.

Shane did the honors of leading the singing as everyone else followed suit. Charity was grinning from ear to ear as she thought of her wish.

She wished Luke would win ANH, and she also wished for her family to be happy. She then blew out her candles.

As the cake was being served, Charity announced that there would just be an awards show this year for New Year's Eve. No festival. She couldn't handle that this year.

With Beau, he planned Tina's birthday. Beau understood that not a lot of people would be in attendance, but Tina would still be celebrating her birthday regardless.

She was turning 16. Jessica was drawing.

Tina loved knitting and science, also music.

The next day, it was the 31st.

"I have a poetry convention, I'll be back." Lucy says, leaving.

Luke was getting impatient. He was waiting for tonight. He just wanted to win awards and get a party out of it, but Charity told him to stop expecting that. He sighed and complied with her request.

Everyone goes off to do their own things.

Luke meets up with Brandy to do what Luke likes and Brandy rarely says anything, just listening to Luke's rants.

"I used to get 17 parties a year. Now it's getting reduced because Giulia said not all victories result in parties when they should." Luke says. He liked ranting to Brandy because Brandy just sits there.

"Next year I want 20 parties and a birthday week and if one goes wrong, there will be trouble and I'll have them give me a second week…" Luke hissed. "And on my 18th birthday, I want all 31 days to be about me!"

Brandy just nodded. Giulia rode by on her new bike.

Luke got annoyed and flew off, not wanting to be lectured. Giulia sighed and went to tell Charity.

Luke goes to find his other friends. He told them the same thing.

"Some day, every day will be about me. Then I'll finally feel special." Luke says.

"So no one else can have their days because all you want is to feel special?" Charity says as she approaches the group.

"Yeah, my past birthdays have been horrible," Luke says "This one was very bad. Whoever planned it was horrible."

"That would be your own mother." Charity says, arms folded.

"I thought Lucy planned it?" Luke asked.

"Nope. It was all me." Charity says. "I wanted your Sweet 16 to be amazing. But I guess you hated everything I did for you!"

"It's not you, it's everyone else. It was clear my siblings didn't want to be there and the Adventure Kids dragged me to a pointless sleepover." Luke says, not wanting to get grounded.

"I will talk to your siblings and I'm sure the Adventure Kids didn't mean to do that to you." Charity says.

Lynn was practicing for basketball, Luan had gigs, and Lori and Leni were at work.

"Tonight, we have an awards show to go to." Luna says. "There is no festival this year."

"The Luke show as it's usually just Luke and his friends getting awards. I feel bad for Shane. If he does get an award, he'll be lucky since this town mainly votes for Luke and if Shane does do better than Luke, well, Shane will be in trouble." Lola says, knowing full well Luke can't stand someone being better than him.

"This year, if he tries anything, I'm grounding him." Lori says. "Mom is with me on that. She told him to accept the fact that other people have to win besides him."

Later, it was time for the show. Shane was sitting with his family, dressed in a purple tuxedo. Shelby was in a pink dress and Shiloh was sitting in Sharon's lap, dressed in a little version of Shane's tuxedo.

"Hello, everyone! Tonight is a night about rewarding the people who have done amazing stuff this year." Charity says. "It's a night full of star power and a night to make memories. So, let's get to our first award, shall we?

"The Pageant Star Of The Year goes to Lola Huntington!" Victoria says. Lola was surprised as she went on stage.

"Thank you all!" Lola says as she accepts her award.

"Next, the Musician Of The Year goes to Shane Loud!" Charity says as his cousins and siblings cheered.

"Me?! Oh, my gosh and goodness!" Shane says as he takes the stage. "What an honor!"

Everyone cheered as Shane accepted his award.

"Next, the best baker award is going to Stephen Meyers!" Victoria says. "Truly, there wasn't any doubt! The Meyers Family Bakery won Bakery Of The Year just yesterday!"

Stephen beamed as he accepted his award.

The next award presented was for Breakthrough Scientist Of The Year, which went to Tina, and for a change, Lisa was happy for her.

The Cardinal Award, which was an award for overall kindness this year, went to Colleen.

The Good Samaritan Of The Year award went to Sam as Luna cheered for her.

Luke was just watching awards being presented, still looking on in silence, knowing that if he tried anything, he would be grounded.

The Fashion Model Of The Year award went to Cynthia, who gasped in surprise. Oliver smiled at her as she accepted her award. She deserved it more than he did.

Next was the Band Of The Year award, which went to Elemental Rebel Revolution. Luke accepted the award on the band's behalf.

The Movie Star Of The Year award also went to Luke as he smirked. But he stayed humble about it.

After a few more awards, the show went to an intermission period, which is when everyone was allowed to get something to eat or go to the bathroom.

Shane was beaming at his award.

"Nice job, Shane." Luna says to him.

"Well, thank you, Luna." Shane says.

"So, what Grammys are you nominated for?" Luna asked Shane.

"Too many of them…music ones, mostly. Sometimes it gets tiring." Shane says.

"But I thought you liked being a star." Luna says.

"Being around too many fans isn't really good for me at times. It can be a bit overwhelming." Shane says.

Emma was giggling while eating as she was eating a lot.

"Why haven't you guys gone on a new adventure?" Lynn asked

"Well, here's the thing, Oliver's half-birthday is coming up, so we gotta be there, he's our brother, that's what's important." Randy says.

Brandy and Emma nodded.

"Oliver said you're not invited. You're not even our real siblings." Griffin says.

The 3 of them walk off with their food, feeling hurt.

"Besides, we know he has plans that day." Rachel says.

With Luke, he was thinking of his anniversary. "It better be good." He says.

"I'll try my best. I've been planning it. Sorry I didn't plan your birthday." Lucy says.

"It's all right." Luke says. She shows her plans for his anniversary. He likes what he sees.

Skylia sees her kids are upset. She wanted them to fit in, but that was getting harder to do. She loved Gabriel, but some of his kids were kinda rude to them, especially to Emma at times.

Skylia still couldn't believe they came back only to hide behind Alem tuber and not for Luke and breaking Oliver and Emma's hearts in the process and never attempted to apologize to Emma, although they have been getting on Oliver's good side.

Maybe Randy should go on another quest.

Cynthia looks at her award, smiling.

Oliver sat with his own siblings, smiling at his Fashion Designer Of The Year award.

"You did great!" Pam says.

"Thank you." Oliver says.

After intermission, more awards were presented. Haiku won an award for best poet and improved baker.

Lucy won a best sibling award for most of her dedication towards Luke. The other sibling groups were kind of jealous as they had never won that. Only Lucy seemed to win it for some reason. That made them want to riot as that was just plain favoritism.

"Maybe it's because of my bond with Luke." Lucy thought.

Charity won a mayor of the year award. She wasn't surprised, but she was humble.

Jason won the Farmer of the Year and The best athlete award went to Garrett, which didn't surprise him much, despite not having any use of his legs in the sports he played.

Soon, it was time for the super hero team of the year award. Alem tuber was excited, knowing he could possibly win it was either him, Jitro, or Luke who was coming out of this one. Luke won last year. Alem tuber never won.

"This year, there is this breakout hero team who really surprised all of Royal Woods. A team who took the town by storm and always saved the town in times of trouble and was always there when we needed them. It gives me great pleasure to present this year's Superhero Team Of The Year Award to The Fox Squad!" Charity says.

Luke got pissed off and really wanted to do something, but stopped and remembered that he wouldn't always win.

Randy crossed his arms and left. After everything he did for them he saved his siblings from having to leave Oliver after saving the earth on multiple occasions after saving Angry Luigi's butt. When would he get credit?

Apparently, it made sense since the Fox Squad was on Luke's team. So, fans would lean more into people they knew.

He walked off. "Maybe I shouldn't be a hero, this town only hates me for saving them, especially my siblings. Next time Magico shows up, if he's alive, they're on their own" Alem tuber says as he watches his siblings be awarded with medals. Heck, Greendale wanted Alem tuber and his friends dead for being heroes. This world was messed up.

"I'm so proud!" Skylia says.

"Ha, ha, ha!" A voice says as a magic bind tied Gabriel and the Foxes together.

"Randy, help!" Angry Luigi says.

"Nope, not helping. You save the day, heroes." Randy snarls at the Foxes and leaves Oliver and his family.

"Magico! I thought Randy killed you." Skylia says.

"Nope, all he did was beat me up and leave a warning. A scary warning. But now that he's gone, I can exact my revenge!" he says.

"Luke, help!" Oliver says. Charity glared at Luke as he knew he just wanted Oliver to die. After this, Luke would be majorly grounded.

"Fine, you want my siblings, you gotta go through me!" Emma says.

"Emma, you're a kid." Pam says.

"And you're my siblings." Emma says.

Angry Luigi walked up. He took out a tanooki suit and became Tanooki Angry Luigi and flew towards Magico, who caught him in a magic bubble and sent a series of dark images scaring the daylights out of him and prepared to kill him, but Alem tuber leaped in.

"Final Flash!" He shouted, shooting a blast sending Magico flying as he got up and saw Alem tuber walking towards him.

"Didn't I tell you never to show your face again?!" Alem tuber glared.

Magico tries flying, but Alem tuber stomped on his legs, causing him to scream before Alem tuber smashed his hands and blasted his lungs.

"Now you can't leave this realm. If I see you around my brothers and sisters again, you die!" Alem tuber said and walked off.

"That was cold, but effective." Lisa says.

"Why didn't you do anything?" Lynn asked Lucy.

"Honestly, I'm not that powerful. Plus, Luke could handle him." Lucy says.

"You saved us…" Griffin says.

Alem tuber charged up some sort of ki blade, looking at them.

"Whoa, wait, wait!" They scream. But he just cut the binds freeing them before heading for home

"Come on, idiots" he says to Angry Luigi and Emma. Gabriel took Oliver and the quadruplets to a hotel for the night, staying with them.

"We screwed up. Do you think we took them for granted? Because there is no way we can beat Magico, yet Randy saved us twice. Why would he save us?" Griffin asked.

"He's not even our real brother, yet Emma was willing to give her life for us." Pam says.

"They do care for you and you treat them like garbage." Gabriel says.

"They got mad when they lost to us." Stevie says.

"Not Brandy and Emma, just Randy. See, he's been treated like an outcast for his whole life and has ever really been thanked for his heroic deeds, unlike you 4, who get praised for just being around." Gabriel says. "But you kids do deserve it this year for all the heroics you've done. I guess there'll always be next year for everyone else."

Meanwhile, Shiloh won the cannonball of the year award.

"Way to go!" Lynn says, but he was sleeping in Sharon's arms.

"I'll get it for him." Lynn says, smiling at the sleeping Shiloh.

"The best breakout performance award comes from an act in ANH and it actually won a championship. It came as a surprise to us and the best breakout performance award this year goes to Brandy Waterlash!" Gemma says as she was allowed to announce this one.

Brandy was surprised. For once it was him who actually got Luke a championship as it turned out he surpassed Luke for one night.

"Way to go!" Emma says.

"You rock!" Alem tuber says.

Angry Luigi accepted his award modestly as he bowed down Japanese-style. Luke hissed at the fact that it was Brandy who did better than Luke last season and fans still look down on Brandy. Makes you wonder what Brandy could do.

"Now for the Superstar of the Year award and the final one of the night." Charity says with a smile. "This year, it's going to a star who has done spectacular things, been nice to others and just exceeded expectations. This particular star also stole the show at the ANH Holiday Spectacular show!"

Luke was hoping it was him as Superstar of the Year was the only thing that mattered as he had always won it.

"And this year, it's going to Shane Loud!" Charity says. Shane was stunned as he walked on stage.

"Way to go, Shane!" The siblings cheered as they were all patting him on the back and stuff. Shane was shocked by this.

"Nice job!" Shelby says.

"I can't believe it…" Shane was shedding tears of joy. "I'm a superstar…"

For once, Luke was happy for the real winner of this award this year.

Soon, it was time for fireworks as Charity and Victoria launched them outside.

It had been a wonderful year and everything. Everyone looked forward to the new year and what it would bring.

Angry9guy: Honestly, this might be the final appearance of the cosmic buddies, well, until ANH returns, because I wanna take a more adventurous route with them.
