Shiera has a complex knowledge of many things: Duel Monsters, Mechanics, and Archeology are among three of her skill sets.
When she was ten she built her first Duel Monsters Deck and was winning nine out of ten Duels.
When she was twelve she joined the Dueling Circuit and was pro within a year.
By age fifteen she was a Certified Duelist with an unbeatable streak.
At age sixteen she walked away from the Dueling Circuit, with a competitive deck given to her By Maximilian Pegasus himself, to focus on Mechanics and Archeology.
At the age of eighteen she changed her name from Kendra to Shiera, but has several aliases that she uses to get around fans or around places she shouldn't be.
she has done work that she can't talk about, but has a deck that closely resembles what she worked on. After leaving, she opened up her own mechanics shop so she could do what she loved.
As an Archeologist, she went to discover the archeological finds that her competitive deck is based on.
On one of her expeditions, she ran into a man named Shadi who said they would meet again when the time was right. After meeting with Yugi and Jason, weighing their hearts, determining their souls potential and worth, and giving Jason the Millennium Eye, Shadi visited Shiera and bestowed the Millennium Key upon her, telling her that she would protect it until the time was right. It has helped her ever since.
When she was 21 she met and married Carter Hal.
At age 25 she met the Kaiba brothers and Does exclusive work for them
At age 32 she met Jason Todd and the two of them struck up an unlikely friendship.
She has one coworker/employee by the name of Connor Nozomu who plays Duel Monsters casually and has two low level decks so that they can play and Shiera not kick his ass before turn three.
Shiera rarely plays Duel Monsters anymore, but still has her decks to remind her.
When she heard about what Marik and his Rare Hunters had done to Montgomery, she pulled out her decks, registered for Battle City, and joined the fight.
