Part 3 - Arriving in La Push
Few hours later, they pulled up at the house of the Camerons' and it made Hermione smile, as it still had some similiarites from when she last was here, only paint and flowers were somewhat new, and she could see that the tree they used to swing from was still there, and the swing was there too.
Jared took her bags, while his parents, her aunt and uncle took her inside, and led her to her own room. Jared came after them with her bags, and after she gotten herself abit more put together, she went down the stairs to join the others', now joined by Jared's girlfriend, Kim who had come over after Jared had spoken to her on his cell that he was back home now and that his cousin was here too.
Hermione had no issues with any of this, as she knew about Kim and knew what she looked like, due to Jared sending a photo of his Kim as he loved to call her by, as she was his girl after all, and that made her just smile happily, to hear that her cousin while slightly younger than herself was, had found true love in such cute, kind girl as Kim truly seemed to be like.
She walked into the kitchen, and Kim squealed before running over and hugging a very shocked and taken back Hermione in her warm embrace, and Hermione said laughing at the same time;
"It is nice to finally get to meet you in person, Kim."
At that Kim gasped and said
"You know me?" Hermione smiled, and she said
"I know of you and know how you look like, as Jared sent a photo of you when I heard that he was dating you, Kim. So that is how I know about you at all."
Kim blushed but smiled at the same time, and Hermione just smiled, and went over to her aunt's side, and said
"So what can I help you with, Auntie?" At that her aunt, her father's sister; Maria smiled widely, and said
"Could you cut the veggies up for the salad dear?"
Hermione smiled wider and nodded, and went to get the cutting board and a knife, then at the table was the veggies, and Kim came and helped aswell, while her uncle, Nick and Jared went outside to start up the grill, to grill the meat and chicken for the dinner tonight, Kim told her that her parents and siblings were also going to come over for the dinner, and Hermione said that was more than fine, as she wanted to see and meet more people around here.
And with that the conversation become that Kim to get to know Hermione better, and know where she came from, and so forth. Hermione like her cousin and aunt, uncle knew she would have to tell the ones of the tribal elders and pack of her magic very soon, for it was not easy to hide that she had magic in her afterall. She looked at her aunt, who just smiled when she saw Hermione look at her, and Hermione smiled back.
She was home again at least, and she was safe, alive and most of all she felt she could be herself again too. Her painful past and somewhat present was going to be over with very soon, as the potions took care of the exposure of the pain curse that Bellatrix placed her under was going away as days went on since the war had been over with.
And the cut on her forearm was also finally healing, and she was getting her lost weight back slowly but surely at least. And she didn't look like a zombie like the first days after the war was over with. And she felt good in a very long time too. And she knew this was her first start of a newer, better life for first time in her life.
Her life in England was over, and this was her life now, and she would make worthy too to live again here.
