Hi!
I had to repost my story after two bot reviews that violated the rules of the site. I thank all of the viewers and reviewers for your support.
arguablereader: If you don't like my storys, then don't read.
No one is forced to read my stories, you can go elsewhere and search for another writter that favors your preferred writting style, franchises, plotlines, etc. Jigoku Tensei is a reimagined Isekai story with a darker plotline than base DxD world; that's always been my idea since its inception and has been so for already a year.
Once more, my gratitude to all readers and reviewers and those that bookmark my story in ao3. As of now the stories I'm developing are:

2) Renaissance
The Legend of Odan-Urr is Paused at the moment. And I might take back Saigo Arashi from the stasis i had it in.

Water, a sinking feeling that made her go further into the depths. Yet such depths are dark, and yet he can breathe, but even though he tries to swim, he cannot. A tug made him sharply gasp and stare into the shadows. Before him, as the bright white lights were in the room, a two-thousand feet tall snake-like green-skinned monster seemed to be unphased before him, as it lowered its head slowly.
I finally managed to reach to you.
'A talking snake?' He thought fascinated, the snake was docile and yet dance around him. He felt a morbid curiosity for the gigantic dangerous animal that could swallow him hole, in the realm of his dreams; he outstretched his right arm and open palm towards the creature that leaned its full front face towards his pal.
You're brave…most would wake from their dreams if there was a snake rousing them.
Diodora though shrugged with a light smile. "I've had to work on worst things. Though, it is not every day I dream about talking snakes." He rose an eyebrow as the snake continued.
My time and powers are confined to make this stay more prolonged in length.
Such a polite snake made him be quite surprised, they are creatures of cunning and yet direct, not exactly known for propriety or even think of others around. "All dreams are but another reality." His words made the snake tap on his forehead and fore him appeared a single ornate golden key with platinum and diamond, sapphire, and emerald arrangements. In her cupped hands as a strong powerful gust of wind washed over her, causing her hair to be disarrayed, she cupped her hands.
"What is this?"
A key means a start, and a start always needs a place.
"Wait. What start? What does this mean!?" He asked only to be met with nothing as everything retreated away and he was brought to the light.
A gasp echoed through the Astaroth Castle's second bedroom; Daiki Matsuda better known as Diodora Astaroth rose his chest in shock. Combing his spiky hair back, he could only frown even further as he let his heart grow colder and colder. He closed his eyes and let it feed him, his sadness, the very core of his dark emotions he tapped into, and he felt it surging on his palm wanting to get out. Balling his fists, he felt a tiny prickling feeling on his palms and he rose them, on his palms, on both, a dense black energy was produced. He stared at it with amusement. ~What are you?~ Diodora asked himself with fascination and glared at his palms with a smirk with enough imagination he threw it out as a projectile against a sofa. To his shock, it was reduced to nothingness, destroyed.
*Gasp* He turned back to his palms once again and he saw the energy gone.
"Impossible." He brought out loud, as he once again produced his magical circle, the green circle of the Astaroth Family the same one that Monsieur Allairo has helped him to refine. Yet, he felt it incomplete, so incomplete it wasn't even fully done. Get he did so and expanded it at his front, as he stood up from the bed and he closed his eyes, once again feeling his darkest of emotions, his hate, his pain his misery and the entirety of his loneliness, his frustrations, all what he went through, what he was and what he felt in the past. A dense concentrated ball of destructive energy shot out from the magical circle into the nearest object it had, and once more there was nothing left of it, not even ashes.
"Was my mother a…no no." Diodora theorized once more as he sat back down and looked at the clock.
'I have time.' He thought and went through the archives his father had; the dates didn't match at all. His mother was a Bael female that had to marry someone else for the sake of duty? It would explain him having the power of destruction and being able to use it. On a white board with a dry marker, he wrote a genealogical tree of the data he had gathered on the castle; his father's line was moderately defined in the Astaroth, but there were so many gaps and so many things unsaid.
"I'll come and review this again soon." He promised himself that, he won't rest until he gets the truth of his family either out of the castle or out of whatever Monsieur Allairo and Lady Trisha know. As he took a hold of the doorknob, he closed his eyes and took a breath. "You Can do it Diodora, one day at a time." He thought with a light smile; once more his Silvery Dark Cyan Colored Hair turned into a raven black color, his unique indigo-colored eyes with a golden rim around the pupil turned once more into simply dark-colored orbs.
This was Matsuda, Daiki Matsuda. The secondary bald character who was friend of Issei Hyoudou; the deepest secret nobody knew and probably no one ever will.
Chapter 1
The Tongue of the Snakes
The beautiful morning sun radiates from the skies through the leaves of the trees and the grassy floor at once passing by such sun peeking through gently from the window. As a gentle breeze of air passed by his face, warm and homely, the smell of nature so vivid that by itself warms the lungs and makes the body feel lightweight. As children of all ages pay so carelessly all over the schoolgrounds, they find a place underneath a beautiful tree to settle in the shade as more came; others went through to play sports, many others just on the benches and stools, many more just socializing. The birds flying in the sky and resting in the shade and leaves of that same tree, picking their wings and feathers to once again soar in the air, as the warm crisp air blows beautifully through the ambience. The occasional laughs and giggles could be listened throughout the entirety of the place, such beautifully and menial is the way of life that almost reminds him of the adagios of the human soul, a life free of stress, expectations, a brand-new start to be able to correct all wrongs.
'Did I ever in the truest of the true deserve this?' Those lamentations drifted with the unconscious wind dragging them to the depths of the subconscious. As the leaves rustled, making a beautiful voice of nature alongside the gentle caress of the wind through the skin, goosebumps, shiver, and a feeling of a caress of nature. A deep rich reedy musky sound echoed through the walls of a room, a beautiful solemn melody as it slowly went soft to loud, as the high and low notes made a beautiful melody, those knowledgeable in classical music would instantly recognize it as Bach's 1st Cello Suite played on a Bass Clarinet, a beautiful melodious arpeggio, as slowly the notes went lower steadily, a low-note phrase akin to a whisper, before steadily rising again and going low once more, as it went lower and higher afterward, as the music echoed the walls, peacefully evoking the warm air coming through the window, from the room's ajar sliding door a figure leaned in the doorframe, a shadow could be seen as a low phrase again went on, it proved a solemn beautiful melody resonating through the room's walls, as the last tone was made and finally a high-note struck for a minimal amount of time staying there.
As the low notes went high once more, in an arpeggio, as it stayed in a high note for a minimal time, before going low once again, as the melody went high once more, the sound of the keys being pressed, a different assortment for a different note, as it reached into a high note that slowly went into lower fast notes, four times before going into a series of a repeating fast arpeggio, being repeated nonstop before changing notes and interchanging melodies, as it as it went low before reaching the height in tone, as the last portion as a homage to the very start of the melody went on, before one last time hitting a high note.
"Finally last month and half of the year." A brown haired boy outstretched his arms and stretched, the accelerated classes group has already dissolved for the year; since the accelerated course already had their final exams and everything was accordingly graded, the Middle School Gifted Children of the Kuoh Educational District returned back to their respective schools, assistance was optional since their schoolyear had already ended and their graduation will be with the rest of their class even if they never ever met them in regular classrooms. Daiki Matsuda barely even had the chance to socialize with his friends inside the school; and even if their subjects were over, clubs were still attended. Middle School District Chamber Orchestra was still attended.
The boy, Issei Hyoudou is a first-class pervert, a 6th Grader. He met a perverted old man which started to tell him stories about big-breasted females and other perversions, this would afterwards lead to him pulling Motohama into the fetish and acquiring questionable internet material not suited for their ages, wherever that glass-eyed bastard of a friend he had acquired it he would never know. The truth is that Hyoudou Issei's appearance as an exchange student so suddenly happened in the middle almost last quarter of the year. Motohama though was trying and attempting to grasp on the study material. His shoulders tense, his posture stressed and over hunched over a book. Having the source of his death right at his very front was, quite a fascinating thing; Does he know about Diodora? Is he aware of who he is? Does he have Ddraig? Does he know about the enemy he has so near him?
"What's up with him?" Daiki turned to Issei who shrugged back. "There's this schoolyear project the teacher wants us to do. He will send us all 6th years into a lottery and draw names, we will teach younger classmen of 5th year and aid them with exams and anything we want to teach them something about 'passing on what we learned' and 'learning to be good Sempai'. Or whatever that is." Issei shrugged as he had on hand the latest Sentai Warrior edition.
"And you aren't studying?" Daiki rose his eyebrow, in between his group of friends he was the one who had his time mostly cut off; doing sports or learning things, taking extra classes for the sake of keeping his place in the accelerated classes and being the candle of his parent's eyes. Even if openly, there weren't expectations, they were subjective and feeling disappointment was the last thing Matsuda wanted.
"Surprising I don't see you like Moto'." Daiki shrugged as he started to undo the pieces of his instrument and clean everything up. "Who knows, maybe you'll get Hikari all for yourself?" He asked which of course sparked the widened eyes of Issei, Hikari was the top girl of the Cheerleading club in middle school, the girl was popular and if rumors were believed already many Junior High students went after her. Hikari had pink hair which attracted the attention of many, unlike Katase's short pink hair Hikari had it long because she knew she went by what many upper-class students liked.
Issei who was drinking from a juice box spitted the juice and he had a flush, babbling incoherently. "H-h-hikari!? You-Are you joking?" Issei asked wide eyed as Daiki smirked, elbowing Issei's shoulder. "She's in fifth, who knows. She might see your talents and go out with you Isse.' She might even go out with you."
Of course, it was all joking, Hikari was just a nameless girl in the background of Issei's life, compared to the Occult Research Clubroom females, the Pink-haired exuberant and short-skirt wearing popular Cheerleader Hikari was a background character who didn't even went to Kuoh Academy at all.
"Oh please, all girls would run away than hear issei's fanatical mumbling of that episode with all the red super sentai warrior cameos." Motohama shrugged which caused the brown-haired boy to fume from his ears.
"I will get a girl; you will see it." Issei stroked an epic pose and pointed towards both of us. "She will have big breasts, bright eyes and a beautiful smile and she will be my girlfriend and I will marry her-."
"And have lots of children with her…" Daiki Matsuda rolled his eyes at how many times he has heard issei swear that he will have girls in the future. He already knew Issei's story, the boy will get them, geez; could he at least stop it on the swearing for once and just let people on the background chill without worry.
"And I will have a harem!" Issei added and once again Motohama rolled his eyes too.
"With Murayama and Katase, we already know." Motohama trailed off and Issei widened his eyes.
"Yuck! I won't ever put those fl-." Before Issei could end the words Daiki chose to do the best strategy, he could ease the tension by slapping his right hand on Issei's mouth to effectively shut his screaming for once. Issei glared at him and protested.
"Those what!?" A female voice called out towards them all and Issei and Motohama turned to meet two girls in their same class; a brown-haired girl with twin tails, and of course the first one to roll his eyes already was Daiki. It was obvious both Murayama and Katase had a crush on Issei and Motohama or on Issei; because they followed both wherever they went, he was just the added stranger at times.
"It's them." Motahama called out afraid ready to be chased through all the schoolgrounds by a fiery angry pair of girls, Matsuda instead had more bothering things to do than to engage in such activities and proclivities.
"So, the Two stooges have found their Third. Let's beat them up Mury-chan." The Pink-haired Katase stated standing before them with a firm stance, as Murayama glared at the trio. Issei afraid and lightly flushed of embarrassment stayed silent.
"Nothing." He tried to defuse the situation, yet it was futile. Murayama and Katase loved to pick on Issei and Motohama, at times they deserved it but on others they didn't, and they still did it.
"Let's just go guys." Daiki called out to both Motohama and Issei as they got up, both got up carefully and turned their backs towards Murayama and Katase.
"And who said you could leave?" Murayama was the one who finally called out at them, as Issei turned around and tugged on Daiki's shirt. Leaving through the backdoor wasn't a hard thing, and truthfully already irritated by Murayama and Katase's constant bullying of Motohama and Issei already grating on his nerves both issei and Motohama gasped as Murayama and Katase ran towards them ready to pummel them. Only for them to slip and fall on their bums to the floor, unaware of the light glint on Daiki's glasses so suddenly.
"Tell me about that activity with the younger ones?" Matsuda asked to both as he continued to read on his book, as he read, he at times mumbled words that he read. "Oh, yeah. The class teacher placed papers on a cork board to put our names that will then be sorted to which young years we could teach?" Issei asked obliviously and pointed to the cork. At which after passing through the halls and annotating his name, Daiki followed Motohama as they walked towards the Arcade.
"Say Issei, did you saw the new Drag-So Ball episode?" Matsuda asked which of course Issei nodded and started to rave about the new transformation, its power and the amazing color scheme used. Stopping by the Arcade and deciding to try the driving one, Daiki tossed a few coins in it and engaged in his greatest relief, which was to drive, the exhilarating feeling of driving for him just was something else.
"I got some new DVD's." Motohama adjusted his glasses earning Issei's nod. "Sure dude." Issei invited them on Monday to stay on Friday until as late as they could or until Saturday. Though that was getting things to get too long for his liking anyway. Once playing the Driving-Sim Arcade, both Issei and Motohama went to the Arcade Fighting Games where the competition got intense and after eating some burgers, Issei's home drew near.
The video was a Kamen Rider one with the twist of it being a female protagonist falling in love with the hero; an interesting twist of the genre if he had to say. With the female Kaben Rider having a pseudo-magical girl personality and transformation.
"Matsuda." As the credits rolled and Issei stared at the computer screen mystified and hypnotized, Motohama turned his gaze to Matsuda. "Thanks for helping us with those two, they've been hard." Ken made the comment, and Daiki smiled a tiny ghost of a smile with a nod. Of course, he would do it for his best friend Motohama, even if the perverted glasses were more of a lone gamer than one for teamwork, it was nice to have friends nearby him, nevertheless. The rest of the day was filled with Motohama's and Issei's homework. Until the Sun started to set, which had him on Issei's front lawn as he waved his arms to Issei and his parents as he said his loud goodbyes. On his hands was a book he was reading, nothing related to his usual read, nonetheless it was a good chess book written by one of the grandfathers of the Sport which gave credit to its relevance on his reading list.
'Should I still go to school even when my grades were already uploaded to the system and my Middle School certificate of completion is already done?' Daiki barely had any motives to truly go to school, his parents would rather be relieved and ask for vacations earlier than usual since he had free time, and it also would allow him to go roam the city and seek a job for the brief summertime. 'Should I apply for a job?' He thought scratching the back of his head with the same hand he held the book since his left hand held the instrument case by its handle. Passing by a store, a dark-haired figure wearing a hat, a big sweater and denim pants with white common tennis shoes got inside the store; folding the edge of the page to show where he was left on his read and going inside the store for a bottle of water. He paid and went out, as a shady man got inside, looking around the streets.
Nearby the convenience store an inland taipan snake seemed to be held in a fishing tank that could barely house its 7.5 feet in length, the snake constantly was turning its body around and occasionally peeping its head out of the glass. As he turned back to the store, the clerk with hat seemed to be buying some chips and pastries, energy drinks and water.
Until on the man's side he saw a slip from the hip to see a weapon. As the snake turned back, he narrowed his eyes at it, and he exhaled. The snake turned to him in attention.
"Hsumm…." (1) His tongue hissed to his surprise, never ceasing to make eye-contact with the dangerous viperid as it slithered cleverly out of its prison and slithered at a quick pace in his direction. As the man took out his gun and pointed it at the cashier. He went inside the store and the man at once took a hold of the shocked female, with the man's left arm embracing her, using her as a meat shield. "On your knees or she dies!" The assailant cried out and Daiki nodded and went on his knees, behind him and using the shadows his snake friend went by as the Cashier tried to empty the money in the thief's back. As the snake slithered behind the man he glared at the creature as it opened its jaw wide ready to bite on the man's exposed ankle.
"nhhurhhieuuu…" (2) He whispered, and the man turned to him, pointing him with the gun. "SHUT UP, Or I'll shoot her!" The man cried out as the cashier fearfully tossed the last of the Japanese yen on the man's bag.
"You should look behind you sir." Daiki called with a big smirk as the man with the gun turned alongside the girl and the first one to give a loud cry was the girl as a gigantic snake which dwarfed to the store's roof glared at them both as its tongue slithered out.
"Fasi shhhem salajj…"(3)Daiki hissed as the man tried to shoot at the gigantic venomous reptile yet the shot missed, tossing the girl at the creature's front, the man had no chance by the time the gigantic snake took a hold of the man's body with its massive fangs, literally piercing through the man as he cried out.
"Shkhhuil." (4) Like a puppet given strings, the snake's body coiled around the thief as its fangs slowly opened, grinding on the body as the deadly venom spread even further on the man. Getting up, taking his Instrument's case with his left hand, he approached to the girl whose hat was dropped and the wig she wore was messy showing a clear-skinned teenaged girl with pink-hair and aquamarine eyes. Yet his mind was on the fact that the talked to snake, that once again he felt a tap on his magic and in his desperation, he tried to manipulate a snake through magic, and he just started hissing random things as if he had an Indian flute to domesticate a dancing snake. ~Be a hero now, and research later.~
"Are you alright?" Daiki Asked to the female as he outstretched his right hand, earning his shocked nod as she was still breathless.
"I'm Daiki, Daiki Matsuda."
"Y-you saved me." The girl stuttered still getting acquainted with the fact a boy younger than her had saved her life. She shook her head lightly and took his hand.
"Momo Momozono." She introduced herself as she picked up her things, as he remembered her from that video Motohama brought, Kaben Rider Pinky's debut.
"I was nearby, so don't mind." Walking by outside the Idol also stepped back, as the gigantic snake uncoiled from the heavily poisoned man following the speaker that talked with it. "I can't let this go as nothing." The girl twirled around strangely, as he rose an eyebrow, the girl with her arms now close to her chest she faced him, and her face was mere inches from him.
"But how can Pinky thank a boy so young as you?" She looked up as her right hand's index finger went to her lips, by her side she looked at the snake that raised its head lightly as its tongue flickered around lazily before once more lying fully on the floor.
"Eeep!" She jumped back lightly staring at the gargantuan monster that seemed to not care after the antics of the Idol. Undescriptive hissing emitted from the mumbling whispering lips of the young boy as the snake neared its head and tugged the chest of the boy as it patted the creature's head. "I'm sorry if he makes you afraid, he's still very young and out of the egg. I freed him from captivity, and he has been with me ever since." Matsuda politely apologized to the Idol who shook her head staring with wide shining eyes at the reptilian creature that functioned as a pet dog. Its round eyes were albeit cute.
"Hmm, I know." After the pink-haired idol whose hair commonly styled in twin buns she realized it and she lightly giggled. "I have to get home." Matsuda who couldn't afford to waste that much time found suddenly his cheek feeling warm and pressed, he turned to see a giggling Idol who took his hands and placed a business card on his hands. Staring at it, he saw what was written.
Momo Momozono
Adult Video Idol, Idol, and Actress
Underneath it was an address in the city, caressing the side of his cheek as he turned the business card, his face got redder.
This coupon can be cashed as a favor or an AV recording.
A chibi drawing of Kaben Rider Pinky with a peace sign in black pen drawn hastily. Storing the offensive paper on his pants left pocket he rushed back home, on his way home though he felt distressed and stressed. Following him akin to a lost puppy was a member of the species of the dangerous most venomous snake in the entire world. Augmenting an animal's dimensions was a special spell he learned from Monsieur Allairo, a good magical spell if he so says. But that was is not his concern.
~I talked to that snake. And I felt a sense of…familiarity; just like with the Power of Destruction.~. He ruffled his hair at the sheer insanity of his thoughts, Diodora Astaroth finding a fondness for dangerous snakes and saving adult video idols; would the past Diodora laugh madly at his silliness or die with envy. ~I must speak with Monsieur Allairo sooner to try and research further into this.~ He frowned further. Small acts of luck which shielded him from a worser childhood.
But talking to snakes, willing snakes to obey him and talking to them as if he just conversed weather with them, was another entirely different thing. ~I was aware that Diodora had ancestral Beelzebub blood, but that was related to the King of Flies which manipulates the domain of insectoid creatures, not of snakes.~ He growled inwardly in frustration, perhaps Diodora was foolish to not search into the depths of himself to see if there was any mixed blood within his line.
Then again, devils were vain and there was always a vanity to them if he is so to say.
"Lord Diodora, you've returned." Lady Trisha received him as she did a curtsy with her white Victorian dress. "Do you wish for your dinner to be heated?"
With a nod, he turned to the snake in a commanding tone, shaking his head he massaged his forehead. Talking to snakes.
"I'll just take dinner and go to sleep."
Retreating to his bedroom after having dinner and cleaning the plates, Salah-Al-Din the Snake followed him to his room. Behind closed doors and in the intimacy of his room as he sat down and combed his hair in shock.
Sshhiash? (5)
The snake hissed back at him, making him frown as he stared back at it. The snake once more hissed the same word as he tried to repeat it.
Sshhiash
The snake smirked, hissing.
I'm prideful, although through a gaze two talkers can connect. You should learn how to speak the tongue.
Matsuda however didn't trust the animal so easily, more so if it could speak and be a civilized sentient being. "What do you mean by the tongue? Why me? Why did you obey my orders? How does Astaroth blood connect with the Snakes? We are related to insects, but not snakes."
The snake remained rolled its eyes and opened its jaw wide, venom from its fangs dripping actively into the floor.
You don't know? The hissing you did, it's the tongue of the snakes. The most foul, primal, and darkest of languages even God himself feared.
"Sshhush?" (6)
Shouldn't God fear what even he doesn't understand? It is not normal that something as snakes created their own language. Aside, having the tongue of the snake is a talent very few humans show, remarkable cases indeed. Why not use it?
The snake roused further, akin to an offer sinful in its origin.
Do you think God, who crafted humans with embryogenic traits and genes of snakes would've liked those that could manipulate his faithful? The tongue has an effect when talked, doesn't it…the tongue is domination, power, binding. You should feel special, the snake tongue is indeed a trait many would consider a dark blessing.
Daiki rolled his eyes and leaned his back to the wall. "Don't treat me as an ignorant. I am aware of enough Ancient Devil History to know many things others twice my age doesn't dare to openly confess because of how much chaotic it would be."
Though amusing, it is. That neither your parents have shown such a trait, your grandparents knew or someone atop your genealogical tree. Snake tongue is a magical ability innate to special beings. Someone in your blood was a magician with the ability to speak to snakes and cast snake-tongue spells.
He frowned; his real father was in a coma and his mother chose to pick up and leave just after getting him out of her innards. As morbid as it sounded, he knew next to nothing about himself except his devil ancestry and the fact that he is heir of the Astaroth Family; that he has the power of destruction and can talk to snakes.
A loud shriek echoed in the halls of the Phenex Castle in the early morning.
"You have to calm down dear." Ryobbert swung a paper fan at his wife who now was sitting down in one of the Kitchen's chairs. There were very few things that scared off Maybeth Phenex, as an inflexible prideful diligent woman. The woman in turn was however distressed; lately the last few pair of days snakes have been a forefront of her mind. She expected the creature to talk back or speak in that condescending tone as the snake that roused her thoughts, yet she found the creature docile and just lying around in whichever dark space the house had nearby or going after some insect or rat to eat.
"A snake." Maybeth could only groan as she massaged her forehead as her husband just made a tiny comment.
"Well, he's always been a lover of nature. His cat also came with him one day." Lord Phenex tried to calm her as she shook her head.
"How are we going to explain to those that visit us that we have a venomous snake the size of a big wine barrel and at least as long as our section of the sidewalk? What if it bites someone? Do we even have antidote?" A pat on her shoulder tried to placate her and a chaste peck on her lips.
"Daiki is good with pets; the snake seems docile. I don't see why we cannot have it in our home." Ryobbert trailed off and she could only facepalm, and nod.
On your desks is a piece of paper, on the other side is the name of the student you will be tutoring for today, please flip your papers.
Mrs. Hikari started the class with that request, turning to the paper Matsuda flipped the page and saw the name of the fifth grader he will be tutoring for the day.
Ruruko Nimura
A secondary character whose fate was greater than his counterpart or at least what the stones prescribed for Matsuda whose name was never known. Did anyone ever grow aware of the name Diodora Astaroth? Or Daiki Matsuda? Did they ever know about his reasons to be a photographer? ~Do I follow the stone? Or do I defy it?~ He was assaulted by the questions, as he was reading on advanced Junior High material. A short girl, shorter than the average fifth grader approached to his seat. Yet even if he saw the name written in the piece of paper, the fact is that his mind was elsewhere. Matsuda never showed any attitude regarding being near snakes or even speaking to such creatures.
~What is my fate in this new world now?~. He thought with a frown on his face.
As the short girl introduced herself, he nodded.
"Hi, my name is Matsuda. Daiki Matsuda." Daiki introduced himself as he sat down on an extra chair next to Ruruko. "And I will be tutoring you on English, Kanji, Calligraphy, Science and Math." He explained slowly, he chose to approach the most sincerely he could and lightly withdrawn. Adjusting his round-rimmed glasses.
"Hello Matsuda-sempai, I'm Ruruko Nimura, but everyone calls me Ruru." She introduced herself.
~She will be enslaved by Sona Sitri in her peerage. She will aid in the barrier against Kokabiel, she will fight Koneko Toujo and be defeated, she would face Heracles and Jeanne from the Hero Faction in the Battle of the Underworld. She would receive an artificial sacred gear, she would be part of the DxD antiterrorist faction, she would partner with issei and defend the school against many Evil Dragons. She would then fight against rebellious exorcists in the Church to finally defend Kuoh from Apophis and Qlippoth.~ He recounted her future actions akin to a seer watching through a crystal ball and yet, she already was so much than him, her existence far more valuable than hers.
~I'm merely a condemned escapee transmigrated soul.~ He vanished from his head nightmares about angels coming after him, seeking to once again take him away and exorcise him. They weren't real, they were all nightmares of a tormented soul. For a mere ant in the face of the entirety of the multiverse, they would never care. And for the next two hours Daiki tackled her old math homework, before moving on to Calligraphy, English and Science. And then finally on the last forty-five minutes tackling accelerated curriculum classes of First Year Junior High. Whenever Ruruko had trouble, Matsuda patiently pointed out what she did wrong and gave her tips on how to fix it. By the end of the day, she started to call him Boss-sempai. And all he could do was felt warmth inside his chest, because it proved that even after all what he lived through…he was still able to make friends.
~Because I'm not a bad person.~ He thought warmly as he saw Ruruko leave the classroom feeling better with herself after her class. All under the heavy glare of Murayama and Katase who now hated him.
(Hours Later)
Phenex Clan Estate / After-School Hours
Parry, sidestep, trust forward, swing.
The sound of Sabre clash echoed through a silent hall as many silent children watched the fencing match between Ryobbert Phenex and his nephew Diodora Matsuda, both were in an intense spar. As the wizened Lord trusted forward attempting a stab at the chest, the young male easily swung his blade to parry and attempt a low swing at the abdomen of the man who also parried. The halls were mostly silent, in between the wooden floor and the concrete walls, the elegant white lights, and chandeliers.
"You have to be faster Diodora." Lord Phenex admonished his nephew as he tried a triple move combo in a faster pace than the level Matsuda managed. Left to right swing. Diodora Matsuda parried, once more another from right to left and an immediate stab. To the stab he jumped away to the edge of the mat, not out but distanced enough. "Good, it is wise to move out and re-strategize when your enemy has changed strategy. But the enemy won't allow you to change their terrain." Lord Phenex with more brusque slashes moved his saber to try and break through any point he tried to find.
As he parried, he found a weak spot on the left rib. Stabbing through, a bell ring echoed.
"Point." The referee, Ruval Phenex indicated, and Lord Phenex smiled. "Good, you're learning. But your stamina at times fails you. You Should practice swimming lessons this coming summer, for as in August next year. I'll sign you to the Japanese Sword Festival's Sword Sparring Competition next year." Lord Phenex called out to him which made him widen his eyes in surprise. A competition which already made him edged.
"The format is easy; The only valid winning is through getting the enemy out of the mat, knock out by any type or an equal of hundred fencing points. All participants are forced to use blunted blades of their discipline. At ease young one, you can take a breath. Then go practice your Saber and Epee. I want to see a good clean coordinated strikes this time. I want also at least four strike combos."
Preparing the fencing dummy, he equipped himself with an Epee at first and got into position, the fencing dummy was made of modern soft fabric to simulate a body and it had a wooden blade and was programmed now to do a single move, a downwards swing.
"This is too easy for you. Let's see, where is it. Ah, here."
And soon the dummy started doing side downwards and side upwards swings. As he got prepared, he widened his eyes and took a step back when the dummy's wooden blade was so suddenly trusted forward. A week has passed since he met Motohama and Issei about the whole Kouhai teaching. He has not been notified yet, but he made sure to tell them both to tell the teacher that whomever he's paired with to search him in the Accelerated Classroom after class hours. As he got in guard position, revising a pattern, as it swung from downwards to upwards, he parried the strike and did a C-ark swing which hit the side, until it surprisingly put a harsh upwards downwards swing, he parried twisting his wrist and an arc-swing downwards to the left. When the dummy tried to reply with a side downwards swing, he jumped to another angle and the dummy to his surprise rotated, as he managed to stab the dummy and slash it once more, it replied with a vertical side to side swing.
Matsuda parried and attacked the sword hand, which slapped the sword away from the dummy.
"Knocking the weapon away from the swordsman is a direct knockout." Ruval Phenex reviewed the rules. "You move too much to be holding a great sword on the hand."
"I want to try a curved hilt on a blade. Would it be the same as holding a normal type?" He wondered glanced at the saber on his hand. The Eldest Phenex smirked.
"Wanting to try out Star Wars theories if they are appliable to real life fencing?" He asked to which of course Matsuda nodded. "Get to repeat those notions. Arm the dummy again and go through those notions again." As he helped him to set up the dummy again, he advised.
"Don't stress yourself on the festival thing. Just enjoy the competition, there is no real winner or anything." With a nod, he continued to train with the Sabre. On his thoughts were the constant of being a good student and the fact of managing his Martial Arts classes and Fencing. ~I should check on summer swimming classes.~ He grunted feeling some pain in his chest. Feeling breathless for a single second before going through exercises once more.
"Treat it as a dance Diodora. Think that spars are just a dance between the enemy and you. That is the key to fencing.
And after fencing practice, the Astaroth heir however faced his uncle in silence. "Uncle Ryobbert." He started the conversation as he glanced to his feet, his uncle remained impassive. "I would like to know the name of my mother. At least I would like to know her name."
His uncle's answer was decisive.
"When you're older."
"But I-."
"You're too young Diodora. When you're older, we will talk about your mother."
~Why? Why does he have to hide it?~ Daiki Matsuda or Diodora as his devil's name said growled as he balled his fists, feeling the anger of his resentment towards his half-uncle's own opinions. Monsieur Allairo and Lady Trisha also have also sworn their oaths to not say a thing at all to him about her, which made him loose his wits and his sleep at times. Because, whether he liked it or not, even if he wished to grow his heart cold, his mother was something he wanted to know and yet he never had.
~Who were you? Why? Why must you haunt my dreams?~ It took only weeks before finally the teachers would say goodbye to classes, he was even doubting that he could go anymore to anything he didn't knew already. A defeated Issei with his shoulders hung and walking like a zombie had a cheerier Motohama walking by his side. Ken seemed upbeat, which only meant that Issei was thoroughly grinded by the finals of the week. He was aware that Issei wasn't your above average doer, not that he ever minded his grades, they were good enough to get him to Kuoh Academy therefore there was a room of improvement somewhere. Also, in his thoughts roused his impending 11th Birthday, the age where he will mature and go to Junior High would be the height of the start of his puberty once again, being his teenaged self.
"Hey guys." Ken fixed his glasses which gained a very wicked glint. "I got some secret DVDs , wanna come over and check them out?" Ken asked finally arriving to them and Issei vibrantly nodded. "You got it? I thought I was going to die here, show it to me man." Issei called out to Ken who showed a new AV DVD which made him raise his eyebrow, the guys never get tired of their perversion. "What about you Daiki? You up for some DVD?" The morally correct answer would be to deny it, yet one doesn't have two lives, so it would be good to get the most experience out of it, more so since today was his free day.
"Daiki-Boss-Sempai!" Just as we reached to the gates of the school someone called out to him.
The future Perverted Trio turned to see Ruruko Nimura, the girl Daiki Ignatius Matsuda tutored for a day a month and two weeks ago, running towards them at high speeds. Almost ramming into other students in her way. On his hands was his new read, this time something more obscure and less kind of a read nonetheless an interesting one. The Lush and The Fence, as the girl slammed into him and knocked him to the ground, luckily his bag softened the fall, and his glasses didn't fly off. Pushing herself up from laying on top of him, now sitting on his lap. While it was a lovely sight having a kouhai so dependent on him no doubt, would be a loyal follower in the future. Although he recycled those thoughts, Ruruko would go to Sona Sitri either way, therefore his fate was to be a human who is in the background. As he felt the world shifting around him, he closed his eyes and thought about his own mortality and his own meaninglessness. Estranged from the world as he is estranged of himself, almost feeling as if he wore a uniform rather than being himself.
Was Diodora Erthon Astaroth himself or he was being Diodora Astaroth?
Was this his world? Or Diodora Astaorth's World?
Who is Diodora Astaroth in reality?
"Sempaiii!" Ruruko cried out in protest and pleading. "You have to help meee." He doubted he could be of help, Sona Sitri would be of more help however whichever the Student President of Kuoh Academy was doing, she was leaving one of her pawns vulnerable or rather just abandoned to take by him of all people. "Ruruko-chan, you need to calm down." Daiki managed to speak which finally got her to calm down as he took a gulp of air to refill his lungs. All while Issei and Ken laughed at the situation behind him.
"Senpai, I need you to tutor me for my math final! And those finals left for the rest of the week!"
She didn't care about his own condition and instead continued to shake him, as if shaking him would get him to say yes more. "Ruru-chan, get off me!" He gritted out loud, causing his junior to finally take note of the situation and jump out after shrieking out, kicking his ribs accidentally in the process which made him cough lightly.
"I'M SORRY SENPAI!" She cried out and bowed repeatedly after standing up.
The sweet sound of listening to Iron Maiden while eating the meanest cookies and cream ice-cream on the park, as he sat down on one of the tables. He read one of his books. After agreeing for a walk to the park and chill out with some Ice-Cream, Issei wanted to go to the Arcade and get a greasy burger, but he minded the feelings of his Kouhai and mindful of the junior in their presence made Motohama agree also on the notion of getting some Ice for the heat. As soon as Ruruko had her ice cream halfway, her mouth moved and he paused the song he was listening to hear what she had to say, so far, he understood.
"So, when I tutored you for your tests you reached to the top 10 of the grades, and now your parents want you to keep that streak going?" He asked her which earned her repeated nod, her twin ponytails whipping around.
"Why should we help you? What do we get from it?" Ken asked as he took a bite from his Tutti Frutti Ice Cream, even if Motohama was a boy of very particular likes and a perfectionist with his slowly growing 'Three Size' obsession, for someone with such perfectionism to ask for a Tutti Frutti, talked about many things.
"Who said I wanted hep from you?" Ruruko snapped, her voice growing cold and serious, total change from the energetic girl who slammed into him minutes ago. Being reminded of Murayama and Katase had both Ken and Issei squealing as they moved away to the far side of the table. "That's what I thought."
She looked at the boys scooting away, before she turned back to Matsuda who intertwining his own hands and leaning on his chair, he listened to his Kouhai's proposal. "So, will you help me?" She asked, her green eyes looking straight at him, her hands clasped together as if in prayer. He however stared unphased at her actions, human nature is the survival of the fittest. Mortal demons making planet earth their hell, closing his eyes he was reminded of his own past weak self and being prone to manipulations of others and to be kind. To be kind when in the end it served for nothing, he got up and removed his headphones and lightly smiled.
"I'm immune to such things." Daiki told her with a snort as he took a bite of his ice-cream, feeling evil. Yet the frankly adorable face of Ruruko melted away in a face of desperation, and in desperation is opportunity. "I'll do anything!" She cried out firmly as she settled her glance into the depths of his eyes. "I can get my parents to pay you." Her adorable face melted away and replaced to one of a devious planned, a full-blown smirk which showed her pearly white teeth.
"Don't do it Daiki, it's a trap." Issei insisted yet it was dulled by Ruruko Nimura's stare right into Daiki's eyes who remained unphased by her attempts. No, Daiki Ignatius Matsuda was a deeper person who craved beyond the material. If his act was going to be forever a human, then it meant he will have to step up the ladder harder, longer than the average being. In a world of unjust petty pitiful Gods and evil manipulative cunning Demons, humans had the short end of stick by being enslaved.
Survival of the fittest.
"Why are you both still here?" Daiki turned to both Issei and Ken who shrugged their shoulders now. "This is getting interesting now." Issei replied.
"We didn't know you were so good at teaching that a single session would make someone your underling." Ken's last words caused an indignant feeling on Ruruko.
"Wha- Just because I call him Boss-senpai doesn't mean I'm his underling!" An indignant cry left the mouth of Ruruko as Matsuda just stared at the interaction.
"There are other things of value other than money Ruruko-chan." Daiki turned from Motohama and Issei back to Ruruko as he gave her a thumbs up. "I'll tutor you for a week, in exchange for a favor and a request. The favor, I'll leave it up for later and as for the request. Well…" Daiki trailed off with his eyes glancing to the side.
"Be my best friend from now on. How about it?" Outstretching his arm with open hand, for someone like him to be asking for loyalty was insane but he believed that it was his nearest kindest approach.
Pact her loyalty…
"What the hell!? Issei cried out as a red snake slithered nearby them, coming from the very gardens its skin changing from the cloaked green of the grass to the crimson red of its natural color. The snake lightly hissed as it slithered around, Ruruko lightly gasped and took a step back.
"It's my father's pet snake Saladin. It's harmless, it must've noted my absence." He supplied enough alibi to not be questioned as his friends could only widen their eyes at the creature, Issei of course commented about it all being wicked but his senpai remained surprised.
"So. About what I said?" He didn't had time to say anything before the girl once more slammed into him and almost knocked him to the ground had he not stayed on it firmer, her arms were around him yet on the edge of his sight he noticed Saladin approaching and its jaw widening, one of his fangs found Ruruko's arm and the other found his. What was he about to-?
"Mtch." He grunted at the piercing pain on his arm as a tribal snake-like tattoo appeared on his forearm and it communicated to Ruruko's own.
Not every day a speaker of the tongue is borne, you're more snake than man. Shouldn't you take advantage of your talent to survive?
What was he implying? Why did him speaking to snakes so suddenly had to do with everything? Why him? Saladin's actions paired with his brain working overdrive at what had happened made his thoughts be constantly not focused; tutoring Ruruko in math was easy. Seeing his cute little kouhai dejected in such a way, ashamed that she needed help getting a good score on a test, he chose to comfort her in the only way he could think of, which was by Ice cream.
~How do I know I will survive without acting?~ He thought, having remained himself far too much in time asleep and waiting for the world to happen or rather for Issei Hyoudou to happen was far too long. A push was needed.
~How can I get a benefit from everything that will happen in the future?~ He thought deeply; Rias Gremory, Sona Sitri, The Khaos Brigade, the DxD anti-Terrorist group, the entirety of the events. The wars, the battles, the everything of it. And Matsuda and Motohama being just in the background envying Issei Hyoudou to make him look cool and themselves like common teenaged fools. ~Should I risk myself for the world when it will never risk itself for me?~ He thought with melancholic sadness remembering his past life, all that he has made and at the same time the wisdom of all what he has read gave him a conclusion.
~No, it is not risking the world if it is mostly for my benefit.~ He thought about what he could achieve with the little steps he has taken for his own sake of survival. Daiki Matsuda placed his hand atop Ruruko's head and ruffled her hair a bit, eliciting a squeak of surprise from the young girl, before she turned to look at him. "At least your chin is now up." He smiled and went in direction of his house, noticing her hesitance he went on.
"What are you waiting for? Your teacher lives this way!" She looked at him, different expressions on her face crossed her before she set on a glare and started stomping after him.
"Stupid Sempai." She heard her mutter.
~I was wrong…~ Daiki realized as his lips lightly twitched upwards as Ruruko started doing homework by herself first. ~I should live my life to the max, this time…I can be more, more than just a background character.~ He thought with a smile, it will be Diodora Astaroth's life with him as a protagonist. A long journey no doubt, but a good journey, nonetheless.
