Moon had managed to make his way into the data center. The humming of servers in their racks, cooling fans, and HVAC systems reverberated throughout the room.
"Hello is anyone there? We're Fazbear, we were sent in with OAOS, we're here to help." Moon said as he slowly walked around the isles of equipment.
"Over here…" A woman said.
Moon walked around the corner to find a woman with glasses at a computer desk in the corner of the room. A camera on the wall in front of her was aimed right at her.
She was continuing to work on her machine not looking in Moon's direction.
"He says if I do anything suspicious while on shift, he will have my family harmed." She said.
"Okay, I do see the camera, keep typing away, I'm gonna get you out of this, just hold on and keep acting like your busy on the computer…." Moon looked around the data center, and avoided the other cameras in the facility, he made his way to a server in one of the racks, labeled CameraStation01. He opened the rack door and took out a small laptop he has in a backpack and also takes out a USB flash drive. He plugs the flash drive into the front USB ports. The server then begins uploading his malware into it that connects back to his own personal command and control server in the cloud.
He now has NTAUTHORITY-SYSTEM level remote access to the server from his laptop over the internet.
This now gives him full administrative rights to the server. He begins entering commands to reset the local windows administrator password on the windows server that is CameraStation01. He then is able to login to the windows server desktop and access the camera server software. It's password protected as well, he resets the camera station software password at the SQL database level. This gives him full access to the camera server web interface.
"Okay this is the option I'm looking for…." Moon said as he takes a snippet of footage showing the woman working, loops it. And since it is a feature in the camera software, has the camera software play it over and over again to the guards monitoring the footage.
"They should have outsourced the camera software. Who in their right mind would add this as an option? It's such a dumb vector….oh well thankfully it was there." Moon said to himself after logging out of the server and closing the rack.
"Okay, you can get up from the chair now. I managed to get the system to keep looping footage of you, footage from the other cameras in here, from earlier up to now. They won't know." Moon yelled over to her.
She gets up cautiously.
"Thank you." She said.
"Not a problem. How long has he kept you here? Are you the only one?" Moon asked.
"3 Months straight. We've been forced to stay in the dorms in the basement, and not allowed to leave the building. I've been forced to make up excuses to my family about what is going on. They already know I could be gone months at a time, since this is not the only datacenter I work on, so Eclipse took advantage of that and found a way to keep me and the others here without rousing suspicion with anyone on the outside." The woman said.
"What's your name?" Moon asked.
"Tammy." Tammy answered.
"How many others are there here?" Moon asked.
"Three. Jon, Tracey and Bob." She said.
"Where are they?" Moon asked.
"Jon and Tracey should be in the dorms in the basement since it's not his shift, Bob is in the datacenter on the other side of the building. Look you need to make sure our families are safe. The second they know…" Tammy was about to finish.
"Don't worry I have it covered. The OAOS is here on this island with me. I just need to put a call in. Can you give me the last names of the employees? Let me get them and I can have patrol units at your homes in less than an hour." Moon answered.
"Jon LaFonte, Bob Mercer, Tracey LaPointe. And my last name is Greene." Tammy said.
"Okay hold on." Moon said before putting his two fingers to his temple. He accessed his internal radio.
"This is Moon, I found civilians being held captive at a data center in Nightview Mountain. Their families are being threatened if they rouse any suspicion with Afton. Can we contact HQ and get patrol units at their homes if I give names and addresses?" Moon asked.
"Go ahead Moon get me the info." Rockstar Freddy said.
"Got a pen and paper?" Moon asked.
Tammy nodded and got her pen and paper ready at her desk.
