Chapter Five
Family Time
Matt and Gabby just did something that they were going to have to get used to doing all the time: giving their twins another round of feedings, which was one of the reasons why they weren't going anywhere; especially since their children needed all the sleep they can get. And for those reasons, they're basically stock at home right now; not that they were complaining. After all, Matt and Gabby loved spending time with each other; and now, they loved spending time with their kids. However, that didn't mean that Matt was the biggest fan of his kids throwing up on his chest. Thank god it didn't take long for him to clean up because Matt was smart enough to cover up his boxers. And since he did that, it meant that he only had to wash his chest, with Gabby's help. Yes, Gabby decided that she wanted to help her husband wash his chest; however, just how might she be able to do that when she can't take a shower yet? Well, she can do it by sitting on the bathroom counter, while rubbing his chest with a wet cloth, which is precisely what she was doing.
She was sitting on the bathroom counter, while also smiling at her shirtless husband; the husband whose chest is extremely muscular, which is precisely why she was running her hand up and down his muscular chest. And let's just say that this is precisely what she wanted to do right now, as it was really helping her. But, just how does it help her? Well, it helps with her hormones; the hormones she can't act on right now due to the fact that she can't have sex with her husband yet. And damn, would she be doing that in the shower right now if she could. However, she can't due to the stitches she had in her. The stitches which were all over her stomach, due to the fact that she had a c-section; something she thought was going to be much more painful than it truly was. But rather, it was much better than she expected; especially since she was out for most of it. Yes, she decided to be put out since there was no chance of her to hold the kids. So, if she wasn't going to be able to hold the twins until she was in bed; why not be asleep.
However, she also wanted to watch herself give birth as she never thought that it would happen; but now, she's given birth and they have the most adorable children in the world: their son Andy, and their little girl Lily. God, she still loves those names more than anything due to the fact that they are beautiful; just like her dreamy husband's eyes, which she most certainly was staring into right now as she washed his muscular chest. Well, that, and she grabbed the back of his head and started to kiss him softly; something she wants to do all the time due to the hormones she still has. "God, you are such a turn on when you walk around in your tight boxers." Matt agreed with his wife as she told him that, smiling due to the fact that he loves doing it. "I know that it turns you on, which is why I always do it. I do it to make you happy." Placing his hands next to Gabby on the counter, Matt soon placed his hands on her legs and wrapped them around her waist. "Which is precisely what I did when I got you pregnant on your visit here in September."
Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that. "Promised you I'd come home to be with you forever." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that and just smiled as he placed his hands on her back, while also leaning in and kissing his beautiful wife softly; as he also took things nice and slow with her, while smiling as this truly is everything he wants to be doing with his gorgeous wife at the moment. He wants to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams, while also making sure that they relax for the sake of her recovery. "Ok, calm down boy; you need to relax and take it easy so that I can recover from giving birth." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I know. I just wanted to thank you for helping me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, not that she wouldn't even not help him with that. "You never need to thank me for helping you do that. If you need help to do that, then you can already count me in for doing that for you." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, while also grinning.
Grinning over the fact that he has the best wife in the entire world, who he loves from the bottom of his heart. "Listen, now that you've helped me clean off my chest, I think it's time that I help you with something in return." Confused, Gabby looked down into Matt's eyes as she had no idea what he was talking about. "What are you talking about baby?" Matt smiled. "Well, I need to help you down off the counter, so that we can go lay down in bed and you can take it nice and easy." Gabby agreed with him, because that's exactly what she wants to do right now. She wants to take it easy with her husband, as they lay down in the comfort of their bed with each other. It's the perfect way for the two of them to spend nice time with each other. "I'm just happy that you let me help you. I was worried that you were going to force me to stay in bed so that I can rest." Matt agreed with his wife. "No, I needed you here instead." Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that. "And just why, might I ask, did you need me here instead?"
Matt smiled as Gabby asked him that question. "If you stayed in bed, you might've done the exact opposite of what I need you to do right now: you would've turned me on and made me want you; when the truth is that I want to just take it easy and relax with you." Gabby smirked. "No, that's what you need to do. What you want to do is take me in your arms, so that we can celebrate that we're finally parents." Matt agreed with his wife, as he most certainly does want to take things slow with her. "I would love to do that in the pool, especially." Matt said as he picked her up off the counter, prior to setting her down on the ground and stepping close to her, while also grabbing her hand and intertwining their fingers. "But right now, I need to take it easy and just relax with my wife. As much as I want her, I need to take it easy so that we can relax." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, prior to stepping close to Matt and placing her hands on his muscular chest. Meanwhile, Matt placed his hands on her hips and smiled at his beautiful wife.
After which, Gabby cuddled up to him and kissed his chest; while Matt wrapped his arm around her and turned his head to press his lips to her forehead. "Plus, I think we both know that you're tired still." Gabby sighed as she leaned back and looked at Matt. "Yeah, sorry about that." Shaking his head, Matt wrapped his arms around Gabby's waist once more prior to leaning in and kissing his beautiful wife softly. "I love you, and I want you to take it easy and just relax. That's what we both need to do right now. We need to take it easy, hold each other in bed…and maybe we can even cuddle up to each other as we share some kisses." Gabby smiled, as that's precisely what she wants to get from her husband as they hold each other close in bed; she wants him to give her sweet kisses as they take things nice and slow with each other. "I want to do that. I want to hold my husband in my arms, as we take things nice and slow with each other." Matt agreed with his wife and just smiled as he got close to her once more while wrapping his arms around her.
After which, he decided to play with her. "Well, I think that your husband is going to be a jealous man; as the only man who has plans to hold you in bed is me." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that prior to leaning up and kissing him softly, while her husband ran his hands up her back and bent down to kiss her neck softly; something which really turned her on and made her moan. "Damn baby." Matt agreed with his wife as she moaned for him, while sucking on her neck; prior to picking her up in his arms once more and cradling her. All the while, Gabby wrapped her arms around his head and just smiled as she moved her lips to his as they started to take things nice and slow with each other. "Carry me out to bed?" Wrapping Gabby's legs around his as he straightened her out on his chest, Matt nodded as he placed his hands on her back and leaned his forehead against her chin. "Yes ma'am." Cuddling up to Matt, Gabby smiled as she stroked his chest with her thumbs; while Matt ran his hand up and down her back as he walked out to bed.
The bed where they were going to hold each other close. "You're going to kiss me as we take it easy with each other, right?" Matt nodded as he bent down and kissed her shoulder as that's precisely what he plans on doing. "Gabby, of course I will. I know I touched you in the bathroom, but I promise that's all you're going to have to deal with. I have no intentions to go any further than that when we both know you just want to take it easy and relax right now." Gabby agreed with her husband as he told her that, well aware that was the case as she just held him close; while also remembering that he loves her, which means that he's going to respect the boundaries which they've both set for one another when it comes to them getting sexual with each other. If anything, they aren't going to get sexual with each other at all; they're instead going to hold each other close, which is something that Gabby loves doing more than anything in the entire world. God, the way Matt's arms feel around her is always incredible and she just loves it so much.
The way they wrap themselves around her naturally, as if it was meant to happen each and every day; in fact, that's precisely how she feels about her entire life with Matt. She just feels like this is the life they've always supposed to have with each other, and she's glad that they finally have it; both with each other, as well as their kids Andy and Lily. They are so adorable, and they already make them so happy. In fact, Matt decided to even go check on them on their way back to bed. "Want me to set you down at the cribs?" Gabby smiled as Matt asked her whether she wanted to be set down when they're at the cribs, prior to nodding as that's precisely what she wants: she wants to be set down at the cribs, so that she can look at their twins. "I love that idea, then we can look at the kids before we can get in bed and cuddle up to each other." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, while also walking out of the bathroom to make their way over to the cribs where their beautiful children were currently sleeping.
They were currently standing together at their children's cribs, with Matt wrapping his arms around her and placing his hands on her legs; meanwhile, Gabby was leaning back against his chest. Smiling as she moved her hands onto his biceps, Gabby leaned back and then spoke to the man of her dreams; the man she loves to have hold her in his strong arms, which is very comfortable. "I'm happy." Matt agreed with his wife as his wife said that, well aware that was the case. "I know, especially since we have the kids now." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling as she turned around and looked at the man of her dreams. "I hate to say this, but I feel like our life is finally complete now that we have the kids." Moving his hands to Gabby's hips, Matt agreed with his wife as he brought her body against his chest; prior to moving his hand to her neck and taking things nice and slow with his beautiful wife. "I love you." Gabby agreed with her husband. "I love you too Matt, and I love our life with each other." Matt agreed with Gabby and smiled.
After which, she stepped close to her husband as she wrapped her arms around his waist; meanwhile, Matt wrapped his arms around her too and just smiled as he pressed his lips to her forehead. Laying her head down on his chest, Matt was just very happy over the fact that this is precisely what she wants to do right now. "Listen, what do you say me, and you go to bed? I know we said that we were going to be with the kids for a bit, but you need to rest. I can just feel like you're tired. Are you tired right now?" Gabby sighed as she looked up at Matt. "Yeah, I am tired." Matt agreed with his wife. "Why didn't you tell me Gabby? You know that I would do anything for you to get the rest you need. We literally just got home with the kids, and I want you to rest." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that's precisely what she wants to do as well. She wants to rest and just take it easy with the man of her dreams. "I think that's precisely what I need, especially since I didn't sleep the best last night." Confused, Matt decided to grab Gabby's hand.
Intertwining their fingers, Matt looked at his wife. "C'mon, let's go lay down in bed. You can take it easy and just relax." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, while also following him towards their bed so that they can relax and just take it easy with each other. "Gabby, I mean it when I say that I want you to relax and take it easy. The last thing I want you to do is overdo it. You need to rest after you gave birth." Gabby agreed with her husband and smiled as she walked up her side of their bed, prior to turning around and cuddling up to the man of her dreams; while Matt stepped close to her and placed his hands on her arms. After which, he leaned in and smiled as he took things nice and slow with her husband right now. "I love you." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "Listen, how about you get in bed; then we can cuddle up to each other in the comfort of our bed." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. But first, she got close to the man she loved and tugged him against her by wrapping her arms around his waist.
After which, she ran her hand up her back and just leaned in to kiss the man she loves; while Matt placed his hands on her neck and started to take things nice and slow with Matt. However, he could also feel that Gabby was slowing down, which had to mean that she was tired. "Hey, you're slowing down. That has to mean that you're tired." Gabby agreed with her husband, prior to turning around and climbing into bed. "There we go, now you can relax and just take it easy." Gabby agreed with her husband as she did just that, prior to turning around and moving to lay down in their bed, which led to Matt getting in bed with her and just smiled as he moved to cuddle up to her. After which, he tugged her body against his chest and just smiled as he grabbed the covers and tugged them up on top of the both of them; while Gabby cuddled up to her man and wrapped her arms around his back. Meanwhile, Matt wrapped his arms around her and just pressed his lips to her forehead as they both held each other close, which Gabby clearly needed.
And that's precisely what he decided to talk to his wife about: how tired she is. "Gabby, is everything okay? You seem to be very tired right now." Turning her head, Gabby looked up at the man she loves. "I'm worried about my dad. And I know, I promise that I would let Antonio say that but…" Matt laughed. "Just like I said, you're thinking about your dad even more now." Gabby agreed with Matt as she slipped her legs in between his and cuddled up to him. After which, he leaned in and kissed his wife softly. That was, until they were disturbed. "Oh, I'm sorry. Abuela said that you guys were just taking it easy and relaxing with each other." Turning their heads, Matt, and Gabby both smiled when they saw Eva there. "Eva. How are you?" Getting away from each other, Matt, and Gabby both sat up and just smiled at their nice. "Sorry, I saw you guys get in bed while I was in the bathroom." Matt agreed with Eva, while also being a bit confused as to why she was here. "Just curious, what are you doing here Eva? Shouldn't you be at work?" Eva smiled.
After all, there was a reason why she was here. "Oh, Ms. Errs sent me home with some contracts that you need." Ms. Errs being Linda Errs, Matt's contracts attorney. "Some of them related to the employment contracts that we got with the legal departments, other being with prospective advertisement deals that Ms. Jordan got." Matt smiled as Eva said that. "Eva, you can call her Christie." Walking into her brother's room, Christie looked at her brother. "Uhm, no she can't. Eva, I told you that you can come here quickly then head back to work. I'm staying to spend time with my brother and…" Gabby then went to tell Christie just who Eva is. "Her aunt." Looking at Gabby as she said that, Christie got worried; prior to looking in between both her and her Eva. Meanwhile, she also gulped. "Your aunt?" Eva laughed. "Why do you think I volunteered to come here with you? Hello, I wanted to see my cousins for the first time." Which is when Andy and Lily cried. Meanwhile, Matt just face-palmed his head as he turned to look at both his sister and his niece.
"Get out, go to the living room. Now! That's an order from your CEO whose children you just woke up!" Christie and Eva both agreed with Matt as he said that. "Oh, and Eva?" Eva looked at her uncle Matt when he said that. "Please send your Abuela here for a moment. I need to speak to her." Eva agreed with Matt as he said that, while Christie looked at her brother. "Sorry again." Matt sighed. "I know you are Christie." Christie agreed with her brother, prior to walking away so that she can go get his mother-in-law. Meanwhile, Matt turned his head. "I'll get her; then I can get dressed." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, more than ready to have him get their kids prior to getting dressed so that they can spend time with Eva and Christie. "Just curious, how long do you think they're staying?" Matt just looked at his wife as she asked him that question. "Oh, do you not want to leave bed?" Gabby bit her lip. "No, I do. I need to stretch." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "Then do you want Eva to stay here?" Gabby bit her lip.
After which, she let out a sigh. "She's here and wants to meet her cousins. I'll call Antonio and tell him that she's here, so that he can come join us for supper and pick her up." Placing his hands on his hips, Matt looked at the woman he loves. "Christie can take her back to the office." Gabby looked at her husband as he said that. "So, your sister gets to see her niece and nephew, but not my brother?" Matt sighed. "The kids will be asleep most of the time, anyways." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case. "I know. So, let's do it. Anyways, I need to stretch." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, smiling as he went ahead and walked over to the cribs so that he can get the kids. "Let me get the kids, get dressed…then I need to call Eva's boss and tell her that she's going to take a bit of time off." Gabby sighed. "I can't help but wonder…do you think this is at all related to my dad?" Walking up to Lily's crib, Matt picked her up and then kissed her cheek, while also thinking about what Gabby just said. "I didn't think about that."
Gabby sighed. "Matt, I want to rest, I really do; but if Eva's here for that reason, then I think I need to help. My brother is already doing all of the searching, so I have no idea whether he's even spending enough time with his kids." Carrying Lily over to Gabby, Matt agreed with her as she proceeded to sit up, which definitely was hard to do. "You okay?" Hearing Matt say that as she came into the room, Christie got nervous. "Is Gabby okay?" Turning around, Matt smiled at Christie. "Oh, just sore from giving birth." Christie agreed. "Sorry, I couldn't find your mom Gabby." And to say that scared Gabby, well it just set her off and made her start to cry; something which was completely related to her emotions. "Hey, we know she's here. She was here today, you know that." Placing his hand on Gabby's arm, Matt calmed her down and smiled. "It's okay baby. Take a breath and relax." Confused, Christie looked at her brother. "You, go out to the living room and take it easy. Send Eva in here, she can spend time with her aunt. Can she help Gabby?"
Gabby agreed with Matt, as she thinks that would be a good idea. "I think it's what she needs. Time with family." Matt agreed with his wife, before kissing her forehead, while also turning to look at Christie. "Send our niece in here, then go sit in the living room. I need to call her boss and then I'll come speak to you out there." Christie agreed with Matt as he said that, while Matt went to go call Linda.
She was incredibly happy over what her husband was doing for their niece, due to the fact that it just reminded her what type of man she married. "Thank you so much Linda, you have no idea just how much I appreciate the fact that you're letting her take this time away." Linda agreed with her boss as he told her that. "Mr. Casey. Had I known that her grandfather was missing, then I would've insisted that she go home much sooner. I can only imagine how hard this is on the family. How's your wife doing?" Matt sighed. "She's as soon as she can be under the circumstances. All I know is that my family needs to stick together at this time. And that's precisely why I want Eva here for a bit. Plus, we want her to meet our kids." Linda agreed with her boss as he said that. "How's life as a dad? I know you said when we first met that it's always been a dream of yours to be a father. Is it everything you ever thought it'd be?" Walking out of the washroom after putting his sweats on, Matt snickered. "Not sure yet, still figuring that out."
Looking at her husband as she heard him say that, Gabby was confused. "You're on paternity leave, I thought. Why are you thinking about business right now?" Looking up at Gabby as he walked over to his dresser to grab some socks, Matt smiled. "She asked me how my life as a dad is so far since I told her it's what I always wanted to be, that's the answer I gave her." Gabby agreed with Matt. "Well, you're doing a great job as a dad, for what it's worth." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before smiling as he put his phone on speaker. "Thanks babe." Linda then spoke up to the both of them. "How are you Ms. Casey? How's the recovery?" Smiling, Gabby answered politely. "So far, it's been incredible, and I am so glad that I'm recovering so well." Matt agreed with his wife as he felt the same way. "So, I wanted to talk to you about Eva. I am just not sure how long she's going to need to be touch-and-go when it comes to work." Linda agreed. "Eva can take whatever time she needs. I was debating sending her home when I saw her emotions."
Gabby sighed as she heard Linda say that. "How hard has it been on her?" Linda then went to be honest with her boss and his wife. "She's scared, like any grandchild would be when it comes to losing their grandfather." And that was when Eva came into their room, only to hear Matt say that. "Is that why you want me to stay here? Because Abuelo is dead?" Turning their heads to look at Eva, Matt and Gabby were both shocked. "No, of course not Eva." Taking a breath. "Listen Linda, we need to take care of things here. I just wanted to let you know something else quick. When it comes to the contracts, just leave them on my desk at work. Or, just wait for me to come to you. Right now, things are too hectic for me to sign every contract. Maybe you can work something out where I can give my sister signing power even though I am majority owner of the company? She can be my representative with signing power?" Linda agreed, as they can make that work. "I promise, we can figure that out as that's a good idea."
Matt agreed with his lawyer. "Thanks again Linda, I really appreciate this; including working for a lot less money than you would if you were in a different situation. I know this is all different and I promise that you're going to be paid for all the long hours you put in for me." Linda agreed with her boss as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Of course, Mr. Casey; I'm well aware that's the case." Matt agreed with Linda as she said that. "Thanks again, talk to you later." Matt said, ending the conversation with his lawyer in the process. After which, he set his phone down and sighed as he looked at his niece. Walking over to her, Matt decided to make sure that she was okay. "Eva, how are you? You okay?" Eva sighed as she walked over to her uncle and hugged him. Meanwhile, Matt rubbed her back as he kissed the top of her head. "I promise sweetie, me, your dad, and some of our friends are all looking for your Abuelo. I paid for an ad to go up and people are going to find him, okay? I promise. We're going to do everything in our power to find him."
Turning his head, Matt looked at his wife as he wanted to give the same message to her. "I promise." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was the case. "I know Matt, I know." Smiling, Matt let Eva go. "Here, how about you spend some time with your aunt Gabby? You can take it easy, as you breathe together and just relax? I promise Eva, everything is going to be okay at the end of the day." Eva agreed with her uncle Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know." Walking over to his and Gabby's bed, she proceeded to get in so that she can relax with her aunt. Meanwhile, Matt made his way over to the end of his and Gabby's bed and sat down; that way, he could put his socks on easily. But first, he turned his head and looked at his wife to make sure that she know that he meant everything he just told Eva. "Gabby, I meant everything I just said. I promise, we're going to find your dad. I'm going to make it my life's mission to find him one way or another." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she knew that was true.
If there was one thing that he wouldn't lie to her about, it was them trying to find her dad. "Listen, you want me to go make some lunch for all of us? Then, you can come out with the twins after you guys talk for a bit. I think it might help Eva." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she loves the idea. "I love that idea, what do you think Eva?" Eva smiled. "Time with my cool aunt Gabby and my cousins? Yes, please." Matt and Gabby then both looked at Eva. "What did you do?" Eva then got embarrassed. "Nothing." Matt looked at Eva, as he wasn't pleased that she was joking. "Eva, is the real reason you came here was because you were sent home? Did you do something against orders from the lawyers? If that's the case, then you know our deal. I am not going to jeopardize the company." Gabby just looked at Matt. "Matt!" Matt looked at Gabby. "Gabby, this is serious." Eva agreed with her uncle, as it is serious. "No, you're right uncle Matt; this is serious. And there's another reason I felt like leaving work and coming here to talk to my Tia Gabby."
Matt and Gabby were both confused when they heard Eva say that, with Gabby turning to look at her niece when she said that. "Is everything okay Eva? You're starting to worry me." Eva took a breath when Gabby asked her that question, with Matt adding on as he made his way back over to their bed. Sitting down, Matt looked at his niece. "Hey, I'm sorry I got all bossy there Eva. I'm just worried at times. But, I'm here for you as your uncle right now." Grabbing her hand to make the conversation more personal, Matt looked at his niece to try and get her to relax. "Eva, what's going on? Is everything okay? Wait, did someone bother you at work? Is that why you came here so that you could talk to me in person? I promise, I'll call them right away if it's serious enough." Eva took a breath, as the thing she needed to talk to her aunt about was serious. "It is something serious." Eva said, as she felt her aunt Gabby grab her hand and look at her. "Gabby, I need your held and advice with something." Gabby nodded. "Anything, what is it Eva?"
"I think I'm pregnant."
