After the birth of Prince Daniel, things around Hyrule changed. While the people were sad that their Queen was no longer alive, they at least knew Hyrule would be fine with Link ruling them and had high hopes for Daniel. During the course of nine years, Daniel grew into a fine young man who some say looked like a male version of his late mother but had a personality that reminded people more of his father. Daniel was currently in a private room in the castle with Link where Link was personally teaching his son how to fight which was something he did during breaks from his duties as King.

"Hya," said Daniel while swinging a practice sword at his father in the attempt to hit him only to be blocked by Link's practice sword.

"Nice try, Daniel," said Link as soon as he pulled off the block, "But you still need more strength and speed."

"I got it Father," replied Daniel who then tried swinging his practice sword a few more times only for all of them to get blocked as well.

A few more clashes between the practice swords later, Link told Daniel to stop because they did enough for the day.

"Not bad," said Link, "You're getting better each day."

"I'm still not good enough to land a hit on you though Father," said Daniel while he drank some water.

"You know that's because I'm the most powerful warrior in Hyrule or so most say," replied Link, "At least you've become a match for a handful of our knights by now." Anyway, It's almost time for me to get back to work and for your tutoring with Tauro." "You should get going."

"Yes Father," said Daniel, feeling a bit upset because he wasn't fond of studying things other than fighting.

Daniel then left the room and went to where his tutoring would be done. Once he arrived, he saw Tauro reading a book about some history until he noticed the Prince.

"Your Highness," said Tauro, "Just in time, I just finished this book and I can see that it's that time now."

"How come you're always absorbed in your own research Tauro," asked Daniel.

"Because history is always fascinating," answered Tauro, "Anyway why don't we learn about the battle between the Gerudo and the Gibdos that took place during the time of the Upheaval?"

"The Upheaval," asked Daniel, "Was that the problem caused by Ganon or Ganondorf?" "I can't tell the difference between their names."

"It was Ganondorf's doing," answered Tauro, "Anyway During the Upheaval, Gerudo Town was covered in a sand shroud that summoned monsters known as Gibdos which unlike most monsters couldn't get hurt by regular attacks." "However, once it was discovered they were weak to the powers of ice, fire, and electricity, the Gerudo were then able to fight back." "You with me so far Your Highness?"

"I'm trying," answered Daniel, "But what I don't get is how did the Gerudo get those powers anyway?"

"Most of them used weapons that were given those powers," explained Tauro, "But their Chief, Riju, had the power to command lightning which was the most important thing they had when they fought the Gibdos."

"Riju can do that," asked Daniel, who knew Riju as well as the other leaders of the races of Hyrule."

"Indeed," answered Tauro, "It was a power that came from her bloodline which was later used as one of the powers that helped take down Ganondorf." "I think that's enough of that event." "Let's try the founding of Tarrey Town next."

"Isn't that the town that is owned by Hudson Construction," asked Daniel.

"Correct," answered Tauro, "You see, before the defeat of Ganon and before the restoration of the declined Hyrule started, a Hylian man named Hudson decided to start a brand new town." "After he gathered representatives of the Gorons, Gerudo, Rito, and Zora whose names all ended in son, he was able to pull it off. After that, Hudson started the construction company you mentioned which is made only of people whose names end in son."

"That's so confusing," said Daniel, "Why do they care so much about those kinds of names?"

"Honestly," admitted Tauro, "Most outside of the company don't really get it but most of them don't complain." "Though I know someone who had to change his name just to join them." "Now let's see what to teach next."

"Pardon the interruption," said someone who turned out to be a female servant, "But King Link wants to see Prince Daniel about something."

"That is a shame," said Tauro, "But I guess it can't be helped." "The lesson is dismissed, Your Highness, you can go now."

Daniel then left to find his Father again while wondering what would be going on and trying to memorize his recent lesson. During that time, he had no idea that something big was about to happen.
