Episode 128: Just Waiting On a Friend

Today, Mew and her friends are hiking through the mountain regions to reach Mahogany Town. As they hike up the mountain, the weather begins to change and fog begins to cover their view.

"Wow, this fog sure came in quickly," Brock says.

"Yeah, maybe we should stop," Misty says.

"Toki-pree." (Yes we should.) Topgei agrees.

"You and Togepi are right. We don't want to get separated from each other," Mew says.

Then what do we do?" Molly asks.

Suddenly, they hear something calling out, "Nine… Nine…"

The group remains still in concern.

"What's that?" Jen asks.

Tomo soon notices, "Look."

The group looks to see a beautiful woman wearing a pink kimono, a blue vest, and has dark purple hair in two buns. There is also a Kantoean Ninetales behind her

"Who are you?" Brock asks.

Misty soon notices, "Wow! What an awesome Ninetales."

The Ninetales approaches and looks at Brock.

"It's beautiful," Jen says.

Mew brings out her Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Ninetales, the Fox Pokémon. Kanto Form. A Fire Type. Ninetales is the evolved form of Vulpix. Each of its tails contain a different mystical power."

Brock gets up and says, "You are a vision of beauty! They call me Brock! What do they call you, my sweetest of sweets?!"

"My name is Lokoko," The woman introduces herself, "And you mustn't walk these mountains in the mist. Stay with me until it clears."

"Wow! A dazzling beauty on the inside and the outside," Brock says, happily.

"Um, are you sure that would be okay?" Misty asks.

"Sure," Lokoko says, "My home is not far at all. So let's get going."

"Okay," Mew says.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is seen lying on the ground, completely famished.

"I'm so hungry," Jessie says.

"I can't do no more hikin'," Meowth says.

"I'm officially on strike," James says.

"Put a fork in us," Team Rocket says.

"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet calls out.

Uh?" Jessie replies.

Jessie looks behind the rock she and her teammates are sitting in front of and sees Wobbuffet.

"Oh, what's your problem?" Jessie asks.

"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet says.

"Return!" Jessie says.

Wobbuffet is recalled as the others pop out

"I hoid someting," Meowth says.

"It came from that direction," Jessie says.

They then see a bunch of figures walking up the path.

"Is it?" James asks.

"It is. It's those traveling twerps," Jessie says.

"Hey, check out dat lady with da lantern. And dat Ninetales," Meowth says.

"It's perfect!" Jessie happily says, "Not only do we grab Pikachu, but we'll get that Ninetales as an additional bonus!"

Team Rocket cheers, "Hooray!"

But then Jessie says, "On second thought. Maybe we should first have an all you can eat stealing meal, grab their grub, and then their Pokémon."

James and Meowth moan, "Hooray."

Back to the group of friends…

"Here we are," Lokoko says.

"Here we are where?" Tomo asks.

The fog soon fades to reveal a gigantic red gate, which opens to reveal a splendidly beautiful mansion.

"It's gigantic!" Jen says, surprised.

"This is your home, Lokoko?" Molly asks.

Even the Pokemon are impressed.

"Welcome. Ready?" Lokoko says.

"Am I? Yes!" Brock happily says.

The rest say, "Thank you."

The gang begins entering the mansion. From behind, Team Rocket is running towards the gate as it closes.

Mew ends up hearing them and turns around, "Huh?"

Misty turns to Mew, "You coming?"

"I thought I heard something out there," Mew says.

Brock soon calls out, "Come on, guys, we don't want to keep Lokoko waiting!" and continues following Lokoko, "Right behind you my sweet!"

"Yeah, let's go," Misty says.

Mew and the others follow Brock and Lokoko.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is hiding behind a pillar in a tower formation, but James and Meowth are losing their balance.

"Quit squirming!" Jessie shouts.

Sometime later, Mew and all her friends are at the table.

"This is such a beautiful old mansion!" Misty says.

"Yeah," Tomo says.

Soon, Lokoko walks over with a bowl of fruits, "I'm sure you're very hungry. So I hope this is enough."

Everyone looks at the bowl of fruit Lokoko brings with excitement.

"That looks great!" Misty says.

"Yes, that's more than enough! Thank you!" Brock says.

Ninetales laps onto Brock's lap, and then snuggles with him.

"Well, it looks like Brock has a new friend," Tomo says.

"You're right," Brock says..

Then pets Ninetales, "Aw, you're so cute!"

Meanwhile, in the hallway, Team Rocket peeks out as they search for food.

"Haha! Piece of cake," Jessie says.

"Hold off on the food analogies," James says.

"Speaking of food, let's eat!" Meowth says.

Team Rocket peeks into one room and sees what they think, at first, is gold.

"A pile of gold?" Jessie says, surprised.

"Better!" James says.

Team Rocket cheers, "A pile of cookies! Hooray!"

"A mountain of magnificent munchies!" Meowth says.

The three begin to chow down.

"Breakfast of champions," Jessie happily says.

"Wobbu!" (Amen!) Wobbuffet says, coming out on the pile of cookies.

The three continue to eat all the cookies they can.

Back to Mew and the others…

"Would you like some more to eat?" Lokoko asks.

"If I had one more bite, I'd probably explode," Tomo says.

Skwovet and Meloetta agree.

"Thanks to you Lokoko, my stomach and my heart are full! What I wouldn't give to stay in this beautiful place forever," Brock happily says.

"Wonderful. Yes, please," Lokoko happily says, "I love for you to stay here."

"Huh?" Everyone reacts in surprise, except Brock.

Brock ends up getting excited, "Wow, really?!"

"The mountain mist is so thick, and it doesn't clear up until the morning light. I think it's best if you stay until tomorrow," Lokoko says.

'Well…" Mew says.

"Are you sure?" Misty asks.

"You wouldn't mind?" Tomo asks.

"Yes, I have lots of room, so give me a moment and I'll prepare your bedrooms," Lokoko says.

"Thanks a lot," Misty says.

Suddenly, Sparkle notices something and panics, "Pika Pika Pi!" (Misty, look at that!)

"What's the matter, Sparkle?" Misty asks.

Misty looks to the mirror Sparkle finds and sees that Lokoko has no reflection, even though Ninetales does, and gets scared.

"Misty?" Jen asks

"Are you okay?" Mew asks.

"There's no reflection in that mirror," Misty panics.

Lokoko turns around, Ninetales' eyes glow and then the mirror closed itself shut.

"I guess the combination of the mist outside making so much humidity inside has created such a draft in this big house that it even fogged up this old mirror," Lokoko says.

Misty is still speechless.

"Please don't worry," Lokoko says, and soon leaves.

But Misty sighs in distress.

"Why are you still upset?" Tomo asks.

"I keep seeing Lokoko without any reflection in that mirror," Misty says.

"No reflection?" Mew questions.

"Oh, come on! That mirror is just incapable of reflecting her fast beauty that's all," Brock says.

Everyone stumbles in disbelief over what Brock said.

"And how do you explain that mirror closing on its own?!" Misty shouts.

"Easy, it was embarrassed because it couldn't reflect her beauty," Brock deduced.

"Pika?" (It is?) Pikachu says, confused.

"Vulpix?" Really?" Winter replies, confused.

Meloetta replies, "Meloetta," (I don't know.)

"That is crazy, Brock. Why don't we just go over there and take a little peek," Misty says.

Suddenly, they hear Lokoko's voice, "Sorry to keep you waiting."

And Lokoko shows up, "Please follow me."

Ninetales goes to Brock and snuggles him again.

"Ninetales is really fond of you, Brock,"

"Well, it could be cause I had a Vulpix of my own a while back so maybe that could be the reason why," Brock says.

"I'm very pleased," Lokoko says.

"In fact, I actually have an Alolan Vulpix with me now. Her name is Winter," Brock says.

"That's a nice name. I've never seen an Alolan Vulpix before," Lokoko says.

"I can introduce you to her if you like," Brock says.

"I would love to," Lokoko says.

"Nine," Ninetales happily agrees.

"Okay," Brock says, and lets Winter the Alolan Vulpix out of her Pokeball.

Winter happily says, "Vulpix," (Hello.)

Then Brock says, "Winter, this is Lokoko and Ninetales."

"Vulpix," (Hello.) Winter says.

"Hello Winter, it's nice to meet you," Lokoko says.

Ninetales looks at Winter and says, "Ninetales," (Hello there.)

Winter slowly approaches Ninetales as the larger fox Pokemon looks down towards her. And then she gives Winter a lick on the forehead.

Then Misty asks, "Excuse me, I was just wondering why you chose to live up here in this huge mountain mansion all by yourself."

"Whoa! How dare you?!" Brock exclaims.

"Brock," Misty says, shocked.

Then Brock apologizes, "I apologize for Misty's rude behavior."

But Lokoko says, "No, it's fine. If I were you, I'd ask the same thing, too. The real owner of this mansion actually left to go on a journey many years ago and has yet to come back. He's been gone for so long that his whole staff quit, and now I'm the only one left here to care for this Ninetales. So Ninetales and I have been waiting alone together for his return."

Brock suddenly bursts into tears.

Feeling sad for Ninetales and Lokoko, Winter says, "Vul Vulpix," (That must be lonely.)

Brock is in tears, "I'm so sorry! Living here alone for so long must have been horrible!" Then turns to Misty, "Are you satisfied?!"

"Yes, I'm so sorry," Misty says.

"Must be hard being up here all alone," Molly says.

"Yes, it is," Lokoko says. Then turns to Brock, "That's why I have to ask you something, Brock."

"Huh? Ask me what?" Brock asks.

"Well, I'd rather not stay alone much longer. Would you consider staying here in this big house with Ninetales and me?" Lokoko says.

Everyone is shocked by the question.

Even the Pokemon are shocked to hear it.

"Are you s-suggesting that you and I... g-g-get.. M-m-m-married?!" Brock asks, shocked and blushing.

Lokoko blushes, "If you find me acceptable."

"Acceptable?!" Brock questions in shock, and then rushes towards Lokoko, "YES!"

But, to the shock of everyone else, he suddenly goes through Lokoko's body.

"What?!" Everyone exclaims in shock.

"I think I misjudged the distance of that joyish jump there," Brock says.

"Did you see what I just saw?!" Misty asks, shocked.

"Yes," Mew says, just as stunned.

Then Misty quickly grabs Brock by the ear, "Hold it!" and pulls Brock towards a corner

"Sorry," Mew sys.

"We need to talk to him for just a sec," Jen says.

Ninetales look at Mew and the others.

"Something's really weird," Misty says.

"I saw it. Brock fell right through Lokoko's body. Right through," Mew says.

"Would you believe her skin so diligent skin cannot be touched," Brock says, acting all dreamly.

Then Misty shouts, "BROCK! WOULD YOU COME BACK TO EARTH?!"

"OPEN YOUR EYES!" Mew shouts.

Then Misty begins messing with Brock's face, "Earth to Brock, Earth to Brock! Misty calling! WAKE UP!"

"I hear you!" Brock shouts.

"Brock we need to go, now!" Mew says.

"Let's go!" Misty says.

But Brock says, "Whoa! Now, just a minute! I have no choice but to help Lokoko and Ninetales find happiness!"

"Oh, Brock! I'm so happy!" Lokoko happily says.

"Me too!" Brock happily says.

Then Lokoko says, "Come with me, so you and I may discuss our future together in private."

"Okay," Brock says.

Soon Ninetales pushes Brock away to the door.

"But, Brock!" Mew calls out,

"What are you doing?!" Misty calls out.

"Don't go!" Jen calls out.

Lokoko turns to the others.

"Well then, you may leave. Go!" Lokoko says.

"Huh?!" Everyone reacts.

"But what about-?!" Mew asks.

The tails of Ninetales suddenly lift up and its eyes glow red, the rest of the gang start levitating. Winter tries to use her Powder Snow to attack, but Ninetales overpowers her with her own powers. And the gang are soon sent out to the gates with their belongings before the door shuts.

"This can't be happening," Misty says.

"Brock is trapped inside!" Molly says.

Winter rushes to the door and calls out, "Vul! Vul!" (Brock! Brock!) and scratches her paws against the door.

She even tries to ram her body at the door, but it still won't open.

"Poor Winter," Jen says.

"She's trying to get inside to save Brock!" Tomo says.

"Come on, we gotta save him," Mew says.

Back inside with Team Rocket…

"Wonder what's behind door numbah two," Meowth says.

"Yes! Let's see!" Jessie says.

"Wobbuffet! (Open it!) Wobbuffet replies.

"Heave, ho!" Team Rocket says.

They open the door and a bunch of popcorn comes pouring out.

"A sea of popcorn!" Meowth happily says.

Jessie says with a mouth full of popcorn, "Time to sink or swim!"

"Wobbuffet!" (Delicious!) Wobbuffet says.

Meanwhile, Mew and the others are able to sneak back in the house, and take a peek.

"Look," Mew says.

"Eevee," (It's them.)

They see Lokoko is fanning Brock, and Ninetales has her head on his lap.

"Brock's in some kid of trance," Misty says.

Suddenly, Brock's clothes mysteriously change.

"His clothes?!" Tomo and Jen react in shock.

Brock notices the change, "These aren't my c-clothes."

"But, dear, don't you remember? You just changed, and you look so handsome," Lokoko says.

"You really think so?" Brock says.

"Nine." (Sure.) Ninetales says.

Winter glares and says, "Vul Vulpix Vulpix Vul." (That girl and Ninetales are hypnotizing Brock.)

"I agree with Winter. Ninetales must have Brock under some kind of spell," Mew says.

"We gotta snap him out of it, somehow," Misty says.

"But what do we do?" Tomo asks.

"First we have to find out who this Lokoko really is. Let's snoop around the other rooms," Misty says.

"Good idea," Mew agrees.

The group then searches around for any clues.

Mew walks into the room, "Find anything?"

"No, just a lot of old books. But there's nothing about Lokoko," Misty says.

Tomo sees a door at the end of the study.

"What about that door?" Tomo asks.

Mew walks to the door and opens it. They soon walk in to find a strange room, then Misty looks up at a portrait.

Mew gasps in shock, "Guys! Look at that painting!"

The group looks to see a portrait of Brock with Ninetales.

"It's Brock!" Toni says.

"And he's with Ninetales," Misty says.

The group looks closer, "Wait. It looks like Brock, but it's not.

"That must be the owner of the house who went away," Misty says.

Soon, Eevee finds a Pokeball.

"What is it Eevee?" Mew asks.

"Eevee," (Look here.) Eevee says.

Misty picks up the Pokéball, "I think this is a Pokéball."

Tomo brings out his Pokeball and says, "But it looks different than the one he had."

"Yeah. and it's really different from the one Sam had, and he was from forty years ago. This one must be an older model," Mew says.

Molly picks up a book, "Look here."

Mew then takes the Mew and opens it, "Wow. this must be the owner's diary."

"Really?" Jen asks.

"Yes. And this diary has a lot of entry of Ninetales," Mew says.

"Pika!" (No way!) Pikachu says, shocked.

"What's it say?" Tomo asks.

"According to this entry, the owner's name was Takeshi, and he was going on a trip and was leaving the house to Ninetales."

"Remember Lokoko said the same thing. He had to leave and hasn't been back for a long time," Misty says.

Mew grows very escaped, "Long time, huh?! The owner wrote this 200 years ago!"

"Two… TWO HUNDRED YEARS?!" Tomo exclaims.

"That can't be!" Jen says in shock.

"Wait, that would mean. This guy is…" Misty says.

"Yeah," Mew says, "And if Lokoko and Ninetales have been waiting for him to come back all this time…"

"Pika," (Then they're...) Pikachu says, frightened.

"Skwovet," (Then Lokoko must be…) Skwovet says, and gulps nervously.

"Toki," (Uh oh.) Toepi says,.

"Guys, now I'm getting really scared," Misty says.

Togepi and Sparkle agree. Misty then picks up her Pokemon in fright. Everyone including Pokemon are also feeling scared.

"But what does this have to do with Brock?" Tomo asks.

"I'm not sure, but it's possible that because Brock looks like her trainer, she must want to keep him here," Mew says.

"Oh no!" Molly says, frightened.

Winter becomes frightened to hear this. Her training being forced to live under Ninetales control.

Winter screams, "VUL VULPIX!" (NO, I CAN'T LET IT HAPPEN!)

And runs out of the room.

"Where's Winter going?" Misty asks.

"My guess, to save Brock," Mew says.

Then turns to the others, "Let's go!"

But Misty says, "Wait Mew. If that Ninetales has been alive for so long, who knows what you're in for?

"We gotta save Brock, guys. There's no choice! Plus, Winter is very determined to save him!" Mew says.

Back outside, Brock, Lokoko and Ninetales are enjoying each other's company. Just then, Winter jumps out of the bushes and performs Powder Snow at Ninetales, but Ninetales dodge the attack. And the Powder Snow is heading towards Lokoko.

"Watch out, Lokoko!" Brock calls out.

But it goes right through her. As Brock is standing in shock about what he saw, Ninetales fires a Flamethrower Winter. Winter dodges the attack and fires the Powder Snow back, but Ninetales dodge.

Suddenly, Mew's voice calls out, "Totdile! Use Water Gun!"

Totodile fires and the attack nails Ninetales. Then Winter performs Aurora Beam at Ninetales, and hits her with full force. Then Winter pounces to Brock, knocking him down.

"Winter, what are you doing? What's going on?" Brock asks.

Winter then desperately licks Brock, making him laugh.

"Hey hey, easy girl. That tickles," Borck says.

Then Brock picks Winter down and places her on the ground.

Then Brock asks, "Winter what's gone? It's not like you to attack like that. Where did you go?"

Misty gasps in shock and frightened at what she sees, "Look, Brock. Turn around."

Brock turns around and sees that Lokoko was disappearing, and the clothes we was wearing were also disappearing, and the mansion suddenly went from beautiful and prestine to run down and dilapidated

Meanwhile…

Team Rocket is swimming in potato chips.

"Presenting the potato chip room!" Jessie happily says.

Suddenly, the pile of potato chips disappeared and it turned out that it was the leaves they were eating.

"Wobbuffet!" (What in the?!) Wobbuffet says, confused.

Team Rocket: Looks like we cashed in our chips," Team Rocket says in defeat.

"What? What have I done? She disappeared," Brock says, shocked.

"Brock, let's get out of here!" Misty says.

Winter also calls out, "Vul Vulpix!" (We need to go!)

However, Ninetales had gotten back up and everyone looks back and sees it fire a Flamethrower at them. Everyone runs for their lives as the Ninetales chases them and keeps firing Flamethrowers at them. Soon, they come across where Mew and the others discover the truth about the mansion and Ninetales' trainer.

Look at this painting, Brock!" Tomo says.

Brock is surprised, "Wow! That handsome guy looks a lot like me."

"Brock, this is a painting of Takeshi, Ninetales' owner," Misty says.

And soon, Ninetales shows up.

Mew then tries to stop Ninetales, "Wait, Ninetales. Brock's not who you think he is. You see, we just read your master's dairy. He went away over 200 years ago, right?"

"200?" Brock questions, and soon realizes, "Hold on! That means the guy-"

Brock sees the Pokéball, as Ninetales uses her power to make Lokoko appear again, frightening everyone.

"Lokoko!" Misty, and Jen call out.

"We want Brock, now!" Lokoko says.

"Lokoko, we know that this mansion is all just an illusion created by Ninetales," Brock says.

Ninetales fires another Flamethrower.

Mew calls out, "Totodile! Water Gun!"

Totodile fires the attack, but Ninetales dodges and uses its psychic powers to lift it up in the air.

"Totodile, return!" Mew calls him back.

Before Mew can call another Pokemon Winter comes out and performs Powder Snow, but Ninetales uses her psychic power to lift her in the air and fires a Flamethrower. Winter acts fast and uses her Powder Snow on the wall, making her dodge the attack. Ninetales continues to fire as Winter fires Aurora Beam which is right on the mark. The two are now staring at each other.

Ninetales lets out a cry. Winter also lets out a cry.

"No! Stop it, Ninetales!" Misty cries out.

"She's right!" Brock says and has an idea.

He then grabs the Pokeball from the desk and turns to Ninetales, "Now, Ninetales, return!"

Ninetales hears Brock's command and stares at him. It pictures Brock as its original owner, Takeshi, and then it leaps forward and is recalled into the Pokéball before Lokoko shows up next to him.

"Lokoko!" Brock says.

"I have waited 200 years for Ninetales to return to its master's Pokéball. Thank you. Thank you so much, Brock," Lokoko says.

"But if you waited 200 years then you must be-?" Brock says.

Lokoko nods her head, "Yes. I am also an illusion that has been created by Ninetales."

"Illusion?" Brock says and starts feeling down.

Winter walks over and nuzzles Brock, and he ends up smiling in reply.

Then Misty asks, "Would you help us understand how all this happened?"

"Yes," Lokoko says.

But Brock says, "Excuse me. Wait one sec."

"Huh?" Everyone replies.

"We all should hear this, so come on out, Ninetales," Brock says and lets Ninetales come out of the Pokeball.

Through Ninetales, Lokoko explains, "As my master was preparing to leave on his journey, he asked his staff and I to take care of his home. The last words he spoke assured us that he would be back in just one month. But the month came and went, and he did not return. Time went on, and finally, 10 years passed, and still he didn't return. One by one, the servants disappeared, and I was left alone to wait for him. After 20, and then 30 years, the mansion began to fall apart. But even then, I waited. Hoping against all hope that someday, somehow, my master would return. My memories of the wonderful times my master and I had together were all I had. But when I finally realized that a hundred years had passed, I knew that he could no longer be of this Earth. Sadly, I decided to leave this place, but couldn't, as though I was bound here by some strange power I didn't understand."

Brock looks at the Pokeball and soon realizes, "It's, the power that exists within this Pokéball."

Lokoko continues, "150 more years passed, and as I was waiting, I began to realize that I had gained mysterious powers."

"But 200 years of loneliness," Misty says, feeling sad.

And then Brock says, "I remember reading about the energy that is stored in all Ninetales, and how it can last over a thousand years."

Through Ninetales, Lokoko says, "When I first saw you, Brock, and you looked so much like my master, I foolishly thought that if you came here to live with us, everything would be like before. Happy. But I realize now I was so terribly wrong. I'm truly sorry for what I did. Can you ever forgive me?

"Oh Ninetales," Brock sadly says.

Winter sadly says, "Vulpix. Vulpix." (Oh Ninetales, you must have been so lonely.)

Suddenly, Ninetales was snared in a net and Lokoko disappeared.

"What's going on?!" Brock exclaims.

Everyone looks up to hear the Team Rocket motto. Turns out, Team Rocket has captured Ninetales in the net of their balloon.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble after what we've been eating!

James:

And make it double with this special greeting.

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation!

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation!

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above!

"TEAM ROCKET!" Mew exclaims in pure anger.

"Give Ninetales back now!" Brock demands.

"Vul Vulpix!" (Right now, you bullies!) Winter agrees.

But Team Rocket continues.

Jessie:

Jessie!

James:

James!

Jessie:

Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now, or prepare to fight!

Meowth:

Meowth, dat's right!

Soon, Team Rocket sighs.

"Yes! We're hungry!" James shouts.

And Jessie says, "But not delirious! There's no way we're giving back a 200 year old Ninetales!"

"Dat's got da power to make you tink you're eating cookies, when yous really eating leaves! I don't tink so!" Meowth says.

Jessie throws her Pokeball and calls out, "Go, Arbok."

James does the same, "Victreebel! You go, too!"

Victreebel comes out and tries to eat James.

"I don't care that you're hungry, too!" James cries out.

Mew throws her Pokeball and calls out, "Bayleef, I choose you!"

Bayleef comes out.

Mew calls out, "Razor Leaf attack!"

Bayleaf launches the attack and is able to cut the ropes to free Ninetales.

"Ninetales!" Brock says, relieved.

Winter rushes to Ninetales and is relieved. Ninetales and Winter nuzzle each other a bit.

Then Winter walks to Brock and lets out cries.

"Winter…?" Brock questions.

Soon, Brock sees the look in her eyes, like he understands what she wants.

"Right," Brock nods.

He reaches his backpack and takes out an Ice Stone.

Then presents it to Winter, "Here girl."

Winter then places her paw on it, and Winter along with the Ice Stone begin to glow and fuse together. And soon, Winter begins to evolve, and Vulpix becomes a Ninetales, but is different from the Kanto Ninetales. Its coat is pale blue, and its fur is more flowing and wispier. The tips of its tails and crest, as well as the lower halves of its legs, are white. The crest on its head is longer and its nine tails are less distinct from each other. Alright, Winter! Ninetales! Show 'em your stuff!" Mew says.

Both Ninetales reply, "Nine!" (Right!)

Jessie calls out, "Arbok, Poison Sting!"

Abok attacks, but Ninetales uses its psychic power to reverse the attack on Team Rocket.

A U-toin! Meowth panics.

And the Poison Sting attacks the Balloon.

"Victreebel! Go on!" James shouts and throws Victreebel.

Victreebel falls and nearly lands on Brock, but Ninetales shoves him out of the way while the Pokéball falls down and shatters.

"Bayleef! Tackle Attack!" Mew calls out.

Bayleef charges and hits Arbok.

Then Winter uses a powerful attack called Ice Beam. And then tackles Victreebel.

Then both Pokemon are sent flying up and into the basket of the balloon.

Then Brock calls out, "Ninetales, Flamethrower! Winter, Aurora Beam!"

Mew calls out, "Pikachu, Eevee, Thunderbolt!"

All Four attack combine and fire, and strike at the balloon, destroying it and sending Team Rocket flying.

"I wish we didn't have to blast off on an empty stomach," James says.

"We ate leaves," Jessie says.

"I tought fiber was filling," Meowth says.

Team Rocket sighs.

"Wobbuffet!" (Till next time!) Wobbuffet says

"Team's Rocket's blasting off again," Team Rocket says.

In the morning, Brock shows Ninetales the remains of its PokéBall.

"Your Pokéball's been broken. That's mean you're free now to go anywhere you like," Brock says.

"I'm sure that's what your master would want for you," Misty says.

The Pokemon agree.

Ninetales soon thinks about it. Instead of leaving, she walks to Brock and nuzzles him. Then she looks up towards him. Brock is confused, but soon realizes.

"Brock, I think Ninetales wants to be yours," Mew says.

"Are you sure," Brock asks.

Ninetales nods.

Then Lokoko says, "Yes. I do. I want to be able to travel around the world, and wish for you to be with me. If that's okay."

Brock smiles and kneels to Ninetales, "Ninetales, I would gladly become your trainer. As long as you're okay. And hope you don't mind me calling you… Summer."

Ninetales smiles and happily says, "Nine." (Yes.)

Brock then takes out his Pokeball and taps it on Ninetales' forehead. Then allows her to go inside. After a few shakes from the Pokeball, Ninetales is caught.

Before fading away, Lokoko says, "Thank you Brock, I know Ninetales will be in good hands." And disappears into thin air.

"I promise to take good care of you Summer. You and Winter," Brock says.

Winter happily says, "Ninetales." (That's right.)

Then Brock lets out Summer.

With that, Brock says, "Come on everyone, let's go."

And with that, the group of friends begin to continue on their journey. With a new friend, Kanto Ninetales, Summer, along with a newly evolved Alolan Ninetales, Winter, the gang have an experience they'll never forget. One of the many, on their way to Mahogany Town.
