Alexander called Daniel and filled him on the part of their plan that involved needing the coordinates of the Nox Homeworld in the hopes that they'd be able to help close the dimensional tear.
"Well, you'd have to go by ship anyway. The Nox blocked their Stargate after we visited their world. They said we were still young and needed to grow up first."
"Don't feel too bad about it, Daniel. They were the only race we knew that were older then us. You're barely wobbling into your first steps compared to them."
"That explains a lot. Anyway, I think your idea is a good one, let me put you on hold for a minute and ask Jack."
"Not a problem."
Then Jack was on the phone himself.
"I hear we're related."
"Essentially. Is your healing ability still active? I can help you activate it if it went back to a dormant state."
"I don't know, I haven't tried to use it. I didn't even know I had it. And I don't remember using it before because Thor sucked out my brains or it felt like it."
"Think about your hand, think about pushing energy into your hand. That's what the healing ability is. Energy. Energy you can transfer to someone else's body in order to accellerate their body's ability to heal."
"I'm not a meditator."
"Neither am I, as I told Daniel and Carter, I prefer to shoot my troubles full of holes. It's not meditating, it's controlling the flow of energy with your mind. The human mind can do so much more then you've yet realized."
"Shoot your troubles, huh? Something we have in common. Alright thinking about it, what the Hell! My hand is glowing! How do I shut it off?!"
"Pull back the flow of energy."
"Ok, that was freaky. And I could do this all along and just didn't know it?"
"Yes."
"Alright, I'll have Daniel use his courier to deliver a copy of the Nox's coordinates. One soldier to another, I knew the moment I saw you, you acted like a soldier and you've proven you've got my back. Hopefully you'll find a way to shut that thing down. I don't mind telling you, I've seen some weird shit in this job, but vampires? That goes way beyond."
"Thanks, Jack. If the Nox can't help, maybe they can point us in the direction of someone who can."
After then it was a matter of figuring out what to tell Hope.
"Well, we don't tell her about her being created, six months old, a clone of Faith or having dimensional energy in her body." Alexander was clear on that point. "I say we show her the Altimah, explain that it's made by a long dead race of humans that Corda and I are related to and that we'd like to celebrate her arrival in our lives by taking her to visit an alien world. And swear her to absolute secrecy because I'm sure there will be a lot of very unhappy people in Washington if she blabs."
"I can't think of anything better." Faith said. "So I say we go for it."
Hope was all for a ride in the Altimah and visiting an alien world. She even offered to swear a blood oath not to ever tell anyone.
"Not necessary, pipsqueak. But good to know." Alexander said. "All aboard that's going aboard." Which was every one of them. Johnathan and Oz took their usual stations, Buffy sat at the environmental station again. Giles and Jenny took the seats they used the first time they'd flown in the Altimah. Faith, Gunn and Hope each found a seat as well.
"And still we don't have a full crew." Alexander joked, as he took his seat in the control chair. "I think you'll like this Hope. I fly the Altimah with my mind." And the Altimah was launched from the hanger, cloaking as it did so.
"So cool!"
It took a few hours to reach the Nox Homeworld and when they did Alexander hailed them and explained the situation in Alteran, since he didn't want Hope to know what was actually being discussed.
"You may land your ship Alexander of Atlantis, we will see if we can help this child in your care."
"Thank you, just your willingness to help is greatly appreciated."
They got a surprise when they landed.
"Are you seeing what I'm seeing or am I hallucinating?" Buffy asked.
"If you mean the crazy haired people, I'm seeing them too." Gunn said.
"It's not the crazy haired people that she's questioning." Alexander said. "It's the fact that the guy leading the procession, looks exactly like the principal of our High School. A guy not so affectionately known as the Troll."
"Okay, yeah, that's definitely freak inducing." Gunn answered.
"My name is Opher." The Troll look alike said, once he arrived. "Welcome to our world. It has been a long time since an Alteran walked our world. And this is the child you spoke of?"
"Yes, her name is Hope." Alexander told him.
"A beautiful name for one who may indeed bring hope to her world." Opher raised his hand and Hope slumped down. "She will not remember me sending her to sleep. Come, lay her on this pallet. We will see if we can help her."
It took several hours. Hours in which the Nox faded in and out, literally, as they attempted to draw the energy out of Hope's body. Finally, a green glow could be seen, which formed into a ball. Opher directed the ball into a storage container.
"It can indeed be used to close dimensional tears. Place the container on the tear and release the energy. When the glow dies down, you will know it has succeeded. Give it time to recover and then it will be ready to use again. Safe journey home, Alexander of Atlantis. Our prayers go with you, in hopes of success."
