"Is he really an Ancient, General?" Elizabeth asked Jack.

"Alteran. How many times do I have to say it? Where did that term even come from?"

"Daniel coined it, the first time I downloaded a Repository. There was an inscription Noo Ani anqueetas." Jack told him.

"Knowledge freely given would probably be a little closer. The Latin word aequitas probably descended from it."

"Really?" Elizabeth asked.

"Nevermind, so Jack, if they don't know about me, does that mean they don't know about you either?"

Jack glared at him. Alexander grinned.

"Know about what?" McKay asked.

"That Jack has Alteran blood. It's how he can access and utilize the Repository. And seriously, you did that to yourself twice?"

"The first time was an accident. I had no idea what the thing was. The second time was to keep it out of Anubis' hands."

"You do know it's not meant to be used that way, right? It's a library, you can request the information you want."

"I do now."

"So are there alot of people related to these Alterans?" Another voice said.

"Who are you?" McKay glared at the newcomer.

"This is Major Sheppard, I just gave him clearance. He likes Antarctica."

"Well, it is a good place to get lost. Or to find yourself." Alexander said. "Or to get to know yourself and I could do some barracks humor right now, but there is a lady present." Alexander quipped. The Major gulped back a laugh and so did Jack. McKay just looked confused.

"As for whether there are alot of people related to us?" Alexander pulled out his scanner and with a thought, turned it on and studied the screen. "Interesting, welcome to the family, Major."

"I'm related to these Alterans?!"

"Yep."

"And them?" He asked, indicating Dr. Weir and McKay.

"Nope."

"What is that?" McKay asked and tried to snatch the scanner.

"Hey, I told you! Keep your grubby little mitts off my stuff. This is a scanner. It activates by using a genetic key and works off of thought commands."

"Prove it!"

"Fine." Alexander turned it off and handed it to McKay. The display stayed dark. Alexander reached out and touched it and it lit up. "Try to get it to do something."

"Like what?"

"It's a scanner, scan something."

"It's not doing anything." McKay protested.

"That's because the security features will only allow an Alteran to use it. Hand it to the Major."

"Fine, I bet he can't do anything with it."

The display changed. "Did I do that?"

"What were you thinking when he handed it to you?"

"Where's the bathroom? Is that what it's showing me? The Alteran equivalent of a bathroom?"

"If that's what you asked it to show you, then yes."

"Good, according to this it's about one hundred feet to the left of me. Permission to visit the little soldier's room, sir."

"Give Alexander back his scanner and git!"

"Yes, sir."

"Bathroom? He gets to use a scanner with his mind and he asks for the bathroom." McKay grumbled. "Unbelievable!"

"Practical, it's one of the first things you should always figure out whenever you're in a new place." Jack told him.

"General, he says he has the address to Atlantis. Why weren't we told about this?" Elizabeth asked.

"Besides the fact that we've known that for maybe a week? Because as much as we want to go there, we're not sure if we're ready to go there." Jack said.

"Why not? The potential wealth of knowledge -."

"Is offset by the potential danger," Alexander said. "If the Wraith are still active."

"The Wraith? What are the Wraith?"

"Aliens that like to consume humans. My people lost a war against them 10,000 years ago."

"It's ridiculous to think they'd still be a danger." McKay scoffed.

"Why?" Alexander asked.

"10,000 years, that's why."

"My people were in this galaxy for 50 million years. 10,000 years isn't even a blink of time compared to that."

"Anyway, the threat of the Gou'ald means we may need to take the risk." Jack said. "The President wants to know how long it would take to get there by ship."

"If we connect a Potentia to your systems, four days. It's only 3 million light years away."

"Only 3 million." McKay muttered.

"Okay, we have a partially full one."

"This outpost has a full one as well. My ship has a full one too. If you use the full one here in the outpost to get you to Atlantis and take the partial one with you, then the ship could get you there and back in a little over a week."

"Why take the partial one with?" Elizabeth asked.

"Because Atlantis will probably be nearly out of power after 10,000 years. It was sunk beneath the ocean to use the ocean as additional protection from the Wraith. The shield keeps the water back, you'll need to replace the Potentia to continue to keep the shields up. If the Wraith are gone then you could always raise it back to the surface."

"Alexander, the President wants you and Corda to consider going with." Jack said. "If we go by ship, we can pull the fighters from the hanger deck and store the Altimah there. It would come in handy."

"That's not a decision I can make on my own. Corda and I would have to discuss it with our group. But to see Atlantis again. We haven't seen it in so long."

"How long?" Elizabeth asked.

"10,000 years. We were pulled out of, well never mind, that's personal. I'll talk to our group and we'll let you know."

"Do that. Now I need to find the little soldier's room."

"It's back that way." Major Sheppard said, as he returned to the group.

"Good to know. Excuse me."

"Unbelievable!" McKay muttered.
