Bad Romance: Episode 7
Littleroot Town, Hoenn. May 1st, 2023. 7:08am.
May stepped out of the airport and breathed in the fresh air. She twirled around. "Woo! Finally! We're here!" she cheered. Misty blocked her eyes from the sunlight. "Yeah," she said.
Dawn pointed to the sidewalk. "Hey, let's get a taxi from there," she said, running up to the place which was bustling with people.
"Dawn!" Leaf yelled, chasing after her sister, Misty and May following. Leaf looked around frustratedly. "Dawn!" she yelled again.
She turned to Misty and May. "Okay, I'll look there, you look there, and May, you stay here, okay?" Leaf commanded. The girls nodded and split.
Suddenly, someone covered each of the girls' mouth (including Dawn) and put a weird smelling cloth underneath their nose, making the girls pass out.
Saffron City, Kanto. May 1st, 2023. 6:56pm.
May's eyes fluttered open as she took in her new surroundings. Looks like a hotel room, she noted as a voice infiltrated the room.
"So, you woke up, baby,"
May immediately turned towards the door to see Drew leaning against the wall. Scared, she reacted quickly and threw the nearest object at him, which happened to be a vase.
He caught it easily. May reached out to grab another, but Drew grabbed her wrist and laid on her slightly. May's breathing became heavy as he crawled closer to her face.
He dipped his head slightly, ready to kiss her, when the door opened to reveal Paul. Drew groaned and sat up. "What the hell, Paul! I was about to kiss her!" he whined.
Paul rolled his eyes. "You can do whatever the hell you want, okay? I just came here to tell you, that Dawn woke up," he said.
Drew smirked. "So go have fun with her," he suggested. Paul scrunched his nose. "Bro, I asked her out yesterday, and you already want me to 'go have fun'?" he made quotation marks with his fingers.
"So what do you want me to do?" Drew groaned. Paul folded his arms. "I think we should let the girls meet each other," he said.
"Why?" Drew asked. "Because Dawn is searching for her-" he paused and turned to May, who was shaken up by the whole situation. "What's your relation again?" he asked dryly.
"S-sisters," May replied. Paul nodded. "Right. She's looking for her sisters." he finished. Drew rolled his eyes. "I'll think about it," he decided. Paul nodded and headed out the door.
Leaf opened her eyes and grabbed her sore head. "Ah…" she murmured, checking the area around her. "Where am I?" she asked no one in particular.
"Saffron City,"
She immediately faced the voice. "Gary?" she asked quizzically. "Hi," he smiled softly.
Leaf whipped her head around. "Wha- where are my sisters?" she breathed. Gary stepped forward and cupped her face.
"They're all in a safe place…" he muttered. Tears filled Leaf's eyes.
"Gary, please, I want to meet my sisters," she begged. "Our mother…she gave me a responsibility to take care of them," she sniffed.
Gary looked towards the door. "I'll ask Drew," he decided.
But Leaf was impatient. She ran towards the door, but it was locked. She pulled at it. "I'm sorry, Gary," she cried. "It's my fault, I shouldn't have loved you," she slid down the wall.
Gary immediately hugged her. "No, Leafy, don't say that. I'll to talk to Drew, okay?" he said wiping her tears before heading out the door.
Leaf grabbed his shirt. "Wait, Drew is here?" she asked. Gary nodded. "Is he with May?" she asked again. Gary nodded once more. She turned to him with wide eyes. "Please, get her quick! I don't trust Drew,"
Misty blinked twice and looked around as she sat up from her spot on the bed. "Ash? What're you doing here?" she asked.
Ash rubbed the back of his head. "Hey," he greeted."Where are we?" Misty asked. "Saffron," Ash responded. Misty tapped her chin. "But weren't we at-" "Ash,"
Gary called from the door. "Come with me. We need to talk to Drew." he said. Ash nodded. "Coming," he said before heading to the door.
May pushed Drew off of her. "Leave me alone!" she screamed. Drew smirked. "Why? Don't you love me?" he teased. May shook her head violently.
"No! I will never love you!" she screeched. Drew furrowed his brow angrily. "Listen here, you little-" "Drew!"
Gary interrupted. Drew faced the door. "What?" he snapped. "We should let the girls meet each other," Gary stated firmly. Drew glanced at the brunette. "Fine. Take her." he replied uncaringly.
Paul pushed past his brothers. "Drew," he called. "Mr. Brock wants to talk to you," he told him. Drew nodded and took the phone from the purple haired man.
"Hello?" "Ah, Agent 333. We have a party tonight, if you and your brothers want to come. Bring the girls too. It's at headquarters." The man on the other side hung up.
Drew looked at the phone screen before shrugging and making his way downstairs. He handed the phone back to Paul. "So, what'd he say?" Ash asked, taking a large gulp of his orange juice.
"Party at headquarters." Drew explained. The boys nodded. "The girls..?" Gary asked. "They're coming with." Drew told them.
"Guys, can we deal with this later? Dawn's really worried." Paul reminded them. Gary nodded. "So is Leaf." "And Misty," Ash added. Drew sighed and nodded. "Okay."
Gary brought Leaf to the living room. "Wait here," he instructed. Leaf nodded miserably. "Leaf!" Dawn gasped, running to hug her sister. "Dawn, Leaf?" Misty asked, running up to them.
"Hey, did you guys forget about me?" May smiled. Leaf grinned. "Of course not," she said hugging her sister.
Drew tapped his foot. "Well, if your hugs are over, can we go?" he asked impatiently. "Where?" Misty asked. Ash put an arm around her waist. "Shopping, my baby!" he grinned.
May turned away. "Uh uh. No way. I'm not coming." she decided. They all ignored her and went to the front door. She puffed her cheeks put angrily.
"Really, no one loves me!" she wailed. Two large hands enveloped her from behind. "This man loves you very much, May-May," Drew said, nuzzling her neck. May blushed, but pushed him away.
"What the hell?" Drew groaned. May faced him angrily. "Don't hug me!" she yelled before going into the car.
Misty turned to Ash. "Why are we here, Ash?" She asked him. Ash looked at her confusedly. "To get some clothes for the party..?" he said questioningly.
Misty shook her head. "No, why'd you kidnap me?" she blurted out. Ash looked away. "So that we could spend more time together." he reasoned.
"But what about my sisters?" she asked. Ash blinked. "So that my brothers could…spend some time with them," he said. "But-"
"Look! There's a Chanel store!" Ash pointed across the mall. Misty looked around. "Where?" she ran.
Paul followed Dawn around aimlessly. "What are you looking for?" he asked. She searched the shelves. "Something cute and comfortable," she told him.
He faced her quizzically. "Comfortable? But it's a party," he reasoned. Dawn snapped her fingers. "Exactly. I don't want to be all sweaty after I dance," she told him.
Paul smirked. "Why not? Because you look really hot, then," he told her, putting his face closer to her's. Dawn grinned. "Paul…Why is my baby, being naughty?" she asked, tapping his nose.
Paul came closer. "Because this baby has fallen for you…" he said. Just as they were about to kiss, a siren rang out.
"Leave that switch, May!" Drew yelled. May pouted. "No! I want better clothes!" she said. Drew took a hold of her waist. "May, run!" Drew screamed. "No!" May yelled back. Drew groaned and lifted her up in his arms before running out of the store.
Drew was about to hit Gary's back, but he balanced himself at the last second. Gary and Leaf whirled around. "Drew, what're you..?" Gary asked. "And why're you…?" Leaf trailed off.
Drew set May down gently. "Nah. Nothing," he said and grabbed May's hand and ran away.
Leaf laughed. "Seriously, these idiots!" Gary faced Leaf. "Leafy, do you think our kids will be like them?" he asked. Leaf turned red. "Gary!" she wailed.
Misty stepped out of the washroom. "How do I look?" she asked, twirling around in a cerulean blue and black dress.
Ash scanned her hungrily from head to toe. "Mist, how about we get married right now?" he asked. Misty grinned. "Why?" she asked. Ash looked at her like she was crazy. "Do you want to kill me with this?" he asked her incredulously. They both cracked up.
"Why're you not ready yet?!" Drew yelled. May's head peeked from behind the bathroom door. "Because I didn't buy any clothes when we were shopping!" she fumed.
Drew rolled his eyes. "Whatever, just…wear this," he said, pulling out a box from underneath the bed. "Fine!" May said, slamming the bathroom door.
"I'm going downstairs," he called. "Okay!" May yelled from the washroom.
Paul and Gary were already waiting downstairs. "Damn, I don't know why girls take so long to get ready," Gary muttered. "Leaf! Are you done?" he yelled.
"One second!" Leaf yelled back. Paul shook his head. "Same here," he said as he cupped his hands around his face. "Dawn!" he screamed.
Both Dawn and Leaf came down the stairs together. "Woah," The boys commented dazedly.
Gary ran up to Leaf and started complimenting her. "Woah! Leafy, You look amazing!" he told her. She blushed and hugged him tightly. "Thanks Gary," she spoke shyly.
Dawn tapped her foot. "Well? Gary complimented Leaf already. What's taking you so long?" she huffed. "I don't even have the courage to touch this masterpiece," he replied. Dawn furrowed her brow. "Who?" she asked. "You," Paul murmured.
Dawn giggled cutely. Suddenly, the door was heard opening, and May came downstairs. Drew practically stopped breathing. Holy shit, she looks…just…Damn. Was all Drew could think.
"Drew?"
