Here we go again! Probably a little more story and relationship-building. Can't just have Cynder fall for Jet as easily like I did the first time around. And I can't just have Spyro remember all his memories with Jet either so easily. So prepare for relationship building throughout several chapters before anything super lemony happens. Probably. Who knows. But it won't be strictly relationship-building either cause well, we all know the Spyro series is action-packed. Spyro and Cynder built their relationship throughout three games. Let's see if I can properly pace relationship building without it taking three books, shall we? ALSO! I forgot what name I gave Ignitus's mate in the first version of this story. I think it was Layla or Ayla, but I don't remember which. So. I changed the name to something else entirely. It means Lady of Hope and/or Lady of Light, which makes sense for Spyro's mother as Spyro is a beacon of hope for all of Dragon Realm. Hence the name choice. But if you don't like the name and preferred the name I gave Ignitus's mate the first time and still remember the name, tell me in a review, I will give it a month or two, and then whichever name gets the most positive reviews, I will go back and change it.

Chapter 13: A New Obstacle

Jet and Hunter returned to the group, their haul of prey on Jet's back. Spyro prepared to walk over but was stopped by Cynder. Cynder said, "I got it, Spyro. You need rest, dumbass." Spyro opened his mouth to argue, but Sparx cut him off and said, "The she-devil is right, Spyro." Cynder looked at her brother-in-law and shook her head as she walked over to help Jet. She took to the sky and hovered above Jet. She grabbed some of the haul off of Jet's back and set it down. Cynder landed shortly thereafter.

Hunter grabbed the rest off of Jet's back and Gloria walked over and whispered something to Hunter. Hunter replied in their native tongue and Gloria nodded. Jet looked at the two, a look of knowing on her face. Hunter and Gloria began to walk into the surrounding forest. Sparx asked, "Where are you two going?" Hunter said, "Just gotta talk about some things. We will be back before our watch. Don't worry." Sparx shook his head.

Spyro said, "Well. Since they're currently busy and Cynder won't let me take a watch tonight. Who's taking the first watch?" Cynder said, "I think both Jet and I will. That way you won't be able to slip away to hunt or something since you need to rest!" Spyro muttered, "Damn it. I need to think about the messages I have received in my mind! I suppose I can do that while around the camp. Just would've preferred to be alone while thinking about them." Cynder walked over to Jet and asked, "So. Any reason you took Spyro's weight when we found him?" Jet replied, "My body moved on its own. Sorry, Cynder. Don't want you to think I'm trying to steal your mate."

Cynder looked Jet up and down, detecting no hint of lying, and said, "I am overreacting a bit, but I hope you can understand. I finally got the one I have loved for so long." Jet replied calmly, "No worries Cynder. I completely understand. I only hope I can find the one for me as well." Cynder's jaw dropped and she said, "You haven't found the one for you yet? Why? A dragoness as beautiful as you should have no problems finding a mate!" Jet giggled quietly and said, "Remember, I was with the Wyverns for Ancestors know how long." Cynder laughed and said, "Right right. Never had a chance to find a mate." Jet replied, "Indeed."

Spyro looked over at the two talking Dragonesses and muttered, "At least they seem to be getting along. That is a good thing. Don't want anyone infighting in an adventuring group." Spyro began thinking about what the thoughts he was hearing meant when he was hit with a memory.

Spyro's Memory:

Spyro was walking through the forest. He had just finished fighting several apes and was looking for a place to rest. He had told Sparx to stay hidden until he found a safe place to rest for the night. As he walked, Spyro heard commotion near him. He immediately began sprinting towards the noise he heard and saw a wyvern by a river.

Back In The Present:

Spyro returned to the present and looked around. He shook his head and muttered, "A river. Just like the thoughts said. What if I return to that river? Maybe it will jog my memory in some way. But how will I sneak away? And I don't even know where the hell that river I saw even is! Damn it!"

With the Chronicler:

Ignitus's hostility vanished as he recognized who was at the entrance. The dragoness leapt at him and the two rolled on the ground a bit. Ignitus wound up on top and he pinned the ice blue dragoness. The dragoness had beautiful ocean-blue eyes. She had slightly curvy horns that looked like they were made with pure ivory. Her ice-blue scales glittered beautifully in the dim light of the Chroniclers Cave. Her tail had what looked to be a dagger made of ice at the end of it. She said, "Been a while, hasn't it Ignitus." Ignitus's eyes watered as he said quietly, "I-It can't be. D-Daenerys? H-How are you here?" Ignitus unpinned Daenerys and offered his hand to help her up. Daenerys took it gratefully and said, "Nice to see my mate has become the new Chronicler. I feared you had perished when helping our son and Cynder through the Ring of Fire to fight the Destroyer."

Ignitus replied, "I did perish, but was reborn as the New Chronicler, meaning a New Age is coming. And a New Age is truly here. I am afraid I can not tell you or show you or the Ancestors might get angry." Daenerys giggled and said, "How do you think I found this place? The Ancestors told me in a dream. They sent me here to you so you don't get lonely." Ignitus's eyes went wide in shock as he said, "The Ancestors sent you, my mate, here so I don't get lonely. They do realize that they sent my mate right?"

Daenerys nodded her head and said, "The Ancestors told me that it was perfectly fine for some more, shall we say, adult actions than is allowed for every other Chronicler before you. The Ancestors told me it's because a completely New Age unlike any before has happened. The Ancestors also asked me to give you the newest Prophecy." Ignitus replied, "I'm listening." Daenerys said, "The Power of Three will set Dragon Realm free."

Ignitus's jaw dropped and he asked, "Interesting. I wonder…" Daenerys asked, "Have you had a thought, my love?" Ignitus nodded his head and said, "Since the Ancestors showed you the way here and you have told me something even the Ancestors haven't told me yet, I suppose it's alright for you to see this." Ignitus grabbed the book that was hidden on the top of the highest bookcase and handed it to Daenerys. Daenerys opened it and began reading.

Daenerys said, "I see. That's awfully strange." Ignitus said, "Exactly. But that's not all. Read this now." Ignitus handed her Spyro's book that had now entwined with Cynder's. Daenerys read the book and said with a giggle, "Oh my. Seems like our son's gonna have his wings full. Both of them love him and he loves both of them. He's also marked both and they've marked him. Will he choose one, or try to make it work with both? Only time will tell. We should keep a close eye on Spyro's group." Ignitus replied, "Indeed we should."

Back with Spyro and his group:

Jet and Cynder stayed up through their shift, keeping a keen eye out for trouble; and talked to one another, getting to know one another. As they talked, they occasionally shot a glance toward Spyro to make sure he hadn't snuck away and was sleeping soundly. Spyro stirred in his sleep and muttered something. Cynder looked at Spyro with a sad smile on her face as she said, "He needed this. He's been nothing but an ocean of stress and grief lately. I suppose it makes sense. He did lose his first mentor to the Ring of Fire when we went through it. Spyro wasn't strong enough to keep his fire shield up as we traversed through the Ring of Fire. Ignitus had to put one up. Ignitus managed to get Spyro and me through the Ring of Fire, but at the cost of his own life. Spyro has been thinking that it's entirely his fault because he wasn't strong enough to keep his Fire Shield up through the entire Ring of Fire. But he also was fighting the entire time before we approached the Ring of Fire, so he was exhausted before we even got to the Ring of Fire."

Jet said somberly, knowing how important Ignitus was to Spyro because of her past meetings with Spyro when they were younger, "I couldn't even begin to imagine the amount of pain that losing his first mentor put him through." Cynder nodded her agreement and said, "Indeed. Must be absolutely devastating. I have…. Right. He's gone. I had history with Ignitus, not as much as Spyro though. Losing Ignitus hurt me too, but it fucked Spyro up completely. He still has nightmares about it occasionally, as I am sure you can tell from him moving and muttering in his sleep."

Jet said, "Damn. That actually really sucks. Reliving that tragic event over and over again. Poor guy." Cynder nodded her agreement. A noise behind them immediately sent the two Dragonesses into defense mode as Cynder leapt in front of Spyro and Jet leapt behind Spyro so he was protected from both sides in case there was an attack. Their hostility vanished as Hunter and Gloria walked into their sight. Cynder said quietly, "Thanks for the fucking heart attack you two!" Gloria said, "Our apologies. We will handle the rest of the watch. You two get some much-needed rest." Jet said, "Make sure to keep a close eye on Spyro. Based on what Cynder has told me about him so far, he will probably try to sneak away to do something if he isn't watched carefully." Hunter replied, "That makes sense. We will keep a close eye." Cynder said, with a yawn, the full moon making her scales sparkle brilliantly, "Thank you."

Sparx flew over to Spyro and landed on his back and slowly fell asleep. Cynder laid next to Spyro and closed her eyes. Spyro's wing instinctively wrapped itself around her and Cynder smiled. Cynder fell asleep swiftly thereafter. Jet looked at Spyro longingly and sighed quietly. Gloria walked over to Jet and said quietly, "I know the truth. You have been marked by Spyro just like Cynder has. I can only imagine the pain of watching the one you love happy with someone else. I also know something else about you." Jet's eyes raised in curiosity as she asked, "Oh yeah? And what would that be?"

Gloria said quietly, "I know about your breath attacks." Jet replied, a hint of worry and nervousness in her voice, "Breath Attacks? You mean breath attack, right? Do you think I'm a purple? Regardless, I never learned how to use my breath attack. I never needed it. Hell, I don't even know what my breath attack is."

Gloria looked shocked at Jet's tone of voice, and said, "I see. Alright." Jet said, "Now. Please let me sleep." Gloria nodded her understanding as she walked away from Jet. Jet found a place to sleep far enough away from Spyro to not raise any suspicion, but close enough to feel safe as his presence soothed her.

Gloria walked to be beside Hunter. Hunter asked, "So…. How'd it go?" Gloria responded honestly, "It went as expected. She seemed nervous when I insinuated she was a purple like Spyro and Cynder. She claims she doesn't even know what her breath attack is. She also claims to not have more than one breath attack. But there was a hint of nervousness and worry the entire time she talked. I've seen her fight. She's a competent warrior. She'd learn her breath attack as early as she could. She's hiding something. And I bet it's her true color." Hunter replied, "You're probably right, but we won't know until the mud caked to her body falls off. And we can't rule out the possibility that she's actually telling the truth." Gloria said, "We can always make that happen quicker. Have Spyro hose her down with water daily, and you're right but my gut tells me she's hiding something." Hunter shook his head no and said, "That'd raise suspicion among everyone except us. But maybe Spyro could give showers and baths to everyone once in a while. That wouldn't raise suspicion. We could even start that tomorrow." Gloria said, "Smart plan. Let's do it."

The Next Day:

As the sun began to rise, Spyro was the first to awaken. He looked around and saw Jet closer to him than he expected to see her. Spyro kissed Cynder's head gently. He got to his feet and looked around. Sparx fell off Spyro's back and Sparx woke with a start and said, "What the fuck man? I was having a good dream! Damn it!" Spyro shook his head and saw Hunter and Gloria leaning next to a tree talking. Spyro walked over and Hunter greeted him, "Speak of the devil. How's it going, Spyro?" Spyro replied, "It's going. Just woke up. Was it quiet all night?" Gloria replied, "For the most part. We heard some noises to the south of here." Spyro looked at Gloria's bow and arrows for it. He said, "Maple wood. One of the best for a bow. Cedarwood for your arrows with the obsidian tips. Good stuff Gloria." Gloria nodded her appreciation and Hunter asked, "As the leader of the group, Spyro; what's our plan?" Spyro replied, "We are going to check out the noises you two heard. It's probably trouble." Gloria smiled and said, "Perfect. I get to test my weapons."

Spyro walked over to Jet. Jet appeared to be dreaming and mumbled something. Spyro gently prodded her with his wing and said, "It's time to wake up, Jet! Got a long day ahead of us!" Jet didn't stir and said in her sleep, "Five more minutes love." Hunter immediately walked over after hearing what Jet said and said, "She must be dreaming of her mate." Spyro took a whiff of the air and replied, "It can't be that. She hasn't been marked." Hunter muttered, "FUCK! THINK HUNTER!"

Gloria walked over and said, "Then maybe she's dreaming of meeting her future mate. She must've thought you were her mate in the dream, Spyro." Spyro looked at Gloria and didn't sense any sign of lying and said, "You're probably right." Spyro walked over to Cynder and whispered something into her ears.

Hunter looked at Gloria and said in their native tongue, "Thank you, Gloria." Gloria responded in their native tongue, "No worries Hunter. But you gotta be more careful. Spyro recognized Jet's name when we first met her. If he figures it out before Cynder and Jet get closer, all hell will break loose." Hunter replied in their native tongue, "True true. How long do you think until Spyro figures it out?" Gloria replied in their native tongue, "I give it a month at most. He has forgotten many things before, but he has remembered them when it counted most; so I've heard. So. Like I said. A month at most, a week at the least."

Cynder stirred and smiled as she saw Spyro over her. She joked sleepily, "Trying to take me when I'm sleeping? Kinky." Spyro blushed bright red and said, "I would never!" Cynder teased, "Maybe I like it. You'll never know unless you try it." Spyro blushed more and Sparx whistled as he said, "My my. She's a naughty and kinky one, Spyro. I am not sure you'll be able to handle her." Spyro looked at his brother and said, "Hush it." Sparx and Cynder laughed and Cynder continued, her voice almost seductive, "Jokes aside, we would have to talk about something like that first, Spyro. I'd at least need a safe word. We will have to talk about that, won't we? I can't wait to see what you'd do to me." Spyro blushed more and said, "Yes. We should."

Jet had woken at this point and muttered, "Is he into BDSM? I can tell Cynder is just by the way she's talking about it. I wonder… No! Bad Idea! That's a terrible fucking idea! Trying to play into their fetishes would be terrible in the long run, especially if I don't like it. I need to do this the right way."

Gloria walked up to Spyro and asked, "I worked up a sweat yesterday. Mind giving me a shower, Spyro?" Spyro looked at Gloria, curiosity clear in his eyes but said, "Sure. But how am I supposed to know where to spray water? I can't exactly look at you while you're nude." Gloria said, "There's no other way to ensure one's position to spray the water at. But you'd have to okay it with your mate."

Cynder looked at Gloria and Spyro. She said, "It's fine Spyro. Gloria's right. The only way to know for sure where to spray the water where it's supposed to go is by looking. I can make an exception for hygienic purposes. I'm not unreasonable. But you'd need to teach me the element of water so you don't have to wash Hunter. Until you teach me, you're stuck doing it."

Spyro replied, "No worries Cyn. It's fine. Alright, Gloria. Let's go. Does anyone else need a shower or something along those lines?" Everyone said they did and Spyro led his group to a secluded place in the woods, away from potential prying eyes.

Spyro led Gloria away first and asked, "Any particular temperature you want the water?" Gloria replied, "I'd prefer a hotter shower. Mind if I ask how you're planning on giving me a hot shower?" Spyro replied, "I'm gonna combine two elements." Gloria's eyes went wide and she asked, "Isn't that dangerous?" Spyro replied honestly, "I don't know. I've combined elements before when I defeated Malefor the first time, but I never tried to control it. Especially opposites like Fire and Water." Gloria gulped and said, "Try not to scald me alive please." Spyro replied, "That's the plan." Gloria shook her head and said, "Smart ass."

Spyro went to turn away but Gloria said, "You're gonna see all of me anyways. No need to look away. I'm not stripping to give you a show, dumbass." Spyro nodded his understanding and turned back around. Gloria began to strip and threw her clothing to the side. She asked, "Are you able to wash my clothes too?" Spyro nodded his agreement and looked at Gloria and deduced the best angle to spray the water so it became a shower.

Spyro focused on using fire and water to heat the shower spray, and he took a deep breath. White hot fire shot from his maw as water shot out of his maw upwards. The result was a nice hot shower drizzle on top of Gloria. Gloria smiled and said, "That temperature is perfect Spyro! Good shit!"

After Gloria had finished cleaning herself up, Spyro used his new technique to clean Gloria's clothing. Spyro stopped and said, "I wouldn't recommend putting your clothing on currently." Gloria shook her head and said, "No shit, Spyro. But I need something to wear. Can you dry them without setting them ablaze?" Spyro nodded and hit the clothing with quick bursts of fire, drying them almost instantly. Gloria got dressed and walked back to the group with Spyro.

Spyro said as he got closer to the group, "Next!" Hunter walked up next.

Slowly but surely, Spyro gave everyone a shower. Once everyone was clean, Spyro gave himself an ice-cold shower, trying to clear his mind and help him remember what he forgot.

Spyro returned to the group. Sparx asked him, "So. What's the plan today Spyro?" Spyro answered, "Hunter and Gloria heard some noise to the south of here. So, we're going to check it out and deal with the trouble that's most likely there." Cynder and Jet said, "Sounds like a plan." Spyro smiled and led the group to the south.

As they arrived, a strong scent of apes hung over the air like a thick blanket. Hunter and Gloria took to the trees to scout the area around them. After around five minutes, Hunter and Gloria climbed back down. Spyro asked, "So. What's the situation?" Gloria said, "It doesn't look good for them. They only outnumber us fifteen to one. But they also have a couple of strange-looking totems around the river." Hunter continued from there, "It has a weird black aura that covers them when they're around it." Cynder gasped in disbelief and said, "I remember something from when I was under Malefor's control. He talked about making different kinds of totems to give his troops an edge over Spyro. From Invincibility, Speed, Power, etc. The effect lasts until the totem is destroyed, I think." Sparx said, "Easy. Destroy the totems first."

Spyro shook his head and said, "Not as easy as you'd think. I guarantee that around the totems their forces will mostly be there. And if they are in range of the totem, that can only spell trouble." Jet asked, "What if Hunter and Gloria destroyed the totems from range while we launch a frontal assault?" Spyro answered, "That could work, but I bet they hardened whatever they used to make the totems using tree sap or something. Meaning just one arrow wouldn't work. It would take several. I trust them to be that accurate, but then someone will need to stay with them to make sure they aren't flanked as their focus will be on the totems."

Sparx said, "Hmmm. So I will go with them to warn them if they're getting flanked." Gloria said, "Alright. Sparx's annoying voice will definitely break our focus if we are getting flanked. Perfect." Sparx said, "Exactly. Wait what?!" Everyone but Sparx laughed and Spyro said, "Alright. Let's do this." Spyro said, "Also! If you see a large fireball get shot into the air, I found another totem so you will know your next target." Hunter and Gloria nodded their agreement. Hunter and Gloria went to the highest point they could find that had a clear view of the battleground. Sparx flew up with them.

Spyro looked at the two dragonesses beside him and said with a smile, "Let's go ruin their day." Jet and Cynder nodded their agreement and Spyro took flight. Jet and Cynder followed suit.

Spyro, Cynder, and Jet dove into the battleground. As they landed, a massive cloud of dust flew around. The apes yelled in surprise. Spyro roared a ferocious battlecry and leapt into combat. Cynder and Jet followed closely behind him. Spyro blocked an attack with his wings and unfurled his wings swiftly as a snake strikes. The ape was launched backward and landed harshly. Cynder let loose a powerful blast of fire at another ape. It flowed around it, leaving the ape unscathed. Jet shot forwards and charged the ape into a tree.

Cynder dodged an ape's attack and retaliated with a powerful blast of wind that sent the ape flying into the sky. She said, "SPYRO NOW!" Spyro smirked and took to the sky. He collided with the ape and began a barrage of bites and claws. Blood fell like raindrops. Spyro crushed the ape's throat with a powerful bite, the bone breaking; audible. Spyro launched the dead ape back towards the ground and hit it with a powerful blast of wind so it struck the ground even harsher. It landed on a totem just as an arrow hit the totem.

The totem shattered immediately and a powerful shockwave of magic began moving through the battlefield. Jet and Cynder leapt into the sky to evade the shockwave. Any ape hit with it was sent flying backward. Spyro dove to the ground and rolled to lessen the impact. Spyro heard something fast approaching him from behind and activated Dragon Time. He whirled around only to get hit with a club.

Spyro blocked the next strike and said, "Fucking hell. This fuckers fast even with Dragon Time." Spyro saw the Ape ready another strike. Spyro flipped over the strike and retaliated with a powerful blast of fire. The ape was immediately charred to a crisp. He deactivated Dragon Time and got hit with an arrow to the back. He grunted in pain and heard Cynder say to him in their thoughts, 'Watch out! Remember! I feel your pain too!' Spyro didn't reply but reminded himself to be careful. No one noticed that Jet also winced when Spyro got hit.

Jet thought, 'God damn! That arrow was powerful enough for me to feel it too, even though both our marks have faded for the most part.'

Spyro heard someone's thoughts in his head say, 'Arrow. Powerful. Marks. Faded.' Spyro shook his head to clear his thoughts when he got hit again. He grunted in pain and whirled around. Jet and Cynder had landed now. Cynder and Jet looked at one another and Jet leapt towards Cynder.

Cynder gasped and prepared to block, when Jet leapt over her and tackled an ape with a spear. Jet said as she tore the ape's throat out, blood dripping down her maw, "Keep your wits about you! Spyro also feels your pain!" Cynder looked at her and nodded her agreement.

Spyro charged toward an ape that was wielding a bow and tackled it. The two rolled on the ground and Spyro ended up on top. Spyro went to tear the ape's throat when he found he couldn't pierce the ape's skin with his teeth. Spyro leapt off of the ape and looked around for a totem. He found one and shot a large fireball into the sky to signal Hunter and Gloria that there was another one. Immediately, several arrows begin flying in the totem's direction. Spyro smiled as several arrows found their mark.

Spyro blocked the invincible ape's attack and spun around, tail whipping the ape. As Spyro's tail found its mark, the ape was sent flying into a tree. The tree snapped in half and began falling towards Spyro. He gulped in fear and let his strength surge. Spyro entered a pure fury and flew towards the tree, only to get tackled out of the way. Spyro looked around after he landed on the ground to see what had tackled him and saw Jet had tackled him out of the way. Spyro yelled, "JET NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Cynder watched Jet take flight and tackle Spyro out of the way of a falling tree. Cynder took flight behind Jet and felt her strength surge. Cynder's body began to radiate with a bright purple aura. Her eyes became a violet-purple. Purple magic flowed through her mouth. Cynder felt her speed and dexterity increase tenfold as she entered her pure fury. Cynder looked at Spyro and took a breath. Cynder and Jet flew towards the falling tree and barely managed to stop it from falling. Jet yelled, "WE CAN DO THIS CYNDER!" Cynder nodded her agreement and growled lightly. Cynder and Jet managed to offset the tree's angle enough so no one would get hurt and let it fall. It landed on the totem that had several arrows lodged in it. The substance around the totem that was hardening it, had several cracks. As the tree landed on it, the totem shattered into several pieces.

A massive shockwave of magic exploded from the totem. Spyro barely managed to react in time as he activated Dragon Time and took flight. The shockwave of magic grazed his tail and he was sent flying into the side of a hill. He coughed up a large mouthful of blood as he hit the hillside. He muttered, "At least Cynder activated her fury. She won't feel my pain as much. Fuck this hurts." Spyro noticed that Jet had visibly winced as he hit the hillside. He said to himself, "She must have hurt something while changing the tree's trajectory."

Spyro climbed out of the indent he left in the hillside and leapt to the ground. He immediately dodged an ape's attack and shoved his paw into the ape's face and slammed it into the ground harshly. The ape's skull broke under Spyro's foot. Cynder and Jet landed next to Spyro. Spyro looked at the two and smiled as he said, "I'd say we're ruining their day quite effectively. There's only a few left." Cynder and Jet nodded their agreement and Spyro saw three totems. Spyro let loose three fireballs into the sky.

With Hunter, Gloria, and Sparx:

Hunter saw three fireballs high in the sky and took a guess at the angle and Sparx's voice reached them, "WYVERNS BEHIND US!" Hunter and Gloria immediately whirled around and saw at least ten Wyverns approaching their position. Gloria said, "That's too much for us to handle alone. We need to get to Spyro's assault team." Hunter nodded his agreement and Sparx said, "Alright! Let's go! I will meet you there!" Gloria nodded in understanding and Sparx took off towards Spyro's group. Hunter and Gloria nodded at one another as they leapt into the nearest tree and began jumping from tree to tree.

Gloria lost her footing on one of her jumps and slipped. As she approached the ground, Hunter said, "NO!" Hunter leapt towards Gloria and caught her. He turned his body around so he landed first and Gloria had a softer landing. His back hit a dirt hill and the two rolled down it. Hunter wound up on the bottom. Gloria sat up and looked down at Hunter as she asked, "W-Why? We just met not even a month ago. We have known each other for about a week. Why?!" Hunter flashed a smile and said, "We are allies are we not?" Gloria nodded and Hunter continued, "Exactly. And maybe I have my own… shall we say personal reasons." Gloria blushed lightly and asked, "Is there something you're hiding from me?" Hunter replied, "Perhaps. But we can discuss it later. We need to get to Spyro's group or we are completely fucked." Gloria nodded and got off of Hunter and helped him up.

Hunter and Gloria booked it toward Spyro's group, turning every once in a while to fire an arrow toward the Wyverns. As they made it to Spyro's group, Sparx yelled, "BEHIND YOU SPYRO!"

Spyro whirled around and saw the wyverns approaching them, Hunter and Gloria ahead of them, firing arrows every once in a while. Spyro yelled, "HUNTER AND GLORIA, STAY BEHIND JET, CYNDER, AND I! DESTROY THOSE TOTEMS IF YOU SEE AN OPENING!" Hunter replied, "SIR YES SIR!" Spyro shook his head and said to Jet and Cynder, "We need to keep those wyverns away from Hunter and Gloria. Protect them and one another! Let's do this!" Cynder and Jet nodded their agreement. Spyro and Cynder were still in their fury. Jet took a breath and electricity crackled around her body, unnoticeably. Spyro and Cynder took the lead and leapt into combat. Jet followed behind them.

Spyro and Cynder let loose a powerful blast of aether magic, their breaths combining. It struck five wyverns and they immediately exploded into a fine red mist, entrails falling from the sky. Cynder knocked Spyro out of the way of a dark magic ball and blocked with her wings. Cynder hissed in pain but was able to block the attack. Spyro attacked the Wyvern with a swift flurry of attacks.

Jet said, "SPYRO BEHIND YOU!" Spyro turned around but wasn't able to block the incoming attack. An attack of electricity flew over Spyro's head from behind him. Spyro watched the electricity crackle across the Wyvern's body as it fell to the ground harshly, paralyzed. Spyro turned around and saw electricity crackle across Jet's body. Jet took a deep breath as the electricity continued to crackle across her draconic body. Gloria said to Hunter in their native tongue, "I told you. That's bound to raise some questions next time we get a moment to rest. She isn't a yellow dragoness, meaning she shouldn't be able to harness electricity." Hunter nodded his agreement.

Spyro shook his head to regain his composure, the electricity crackling across Jet's body making his mind race and said, "Good shit Jet! Thanks for the save!" Spyro muttered to himself, "W-Why did I find that attractive? She isn't my mate! Get your fucking head out of your ass, Spyro! You're Cynder's mate and you're happy about it! You finally got the girl, after so long!" Spyro deactivated his Pure Fury and activated his Electricity Fury, a visible yellow aura surrounding him as Electricity crackled around him, shocking any he deemed an enemy that dared get close. Spyro's eyes flashed yellow and he leapt into the sky, dark storm clouds appearing overhead.

Jet yelled, "GET CLOSE! HE CAN'T CONTROL THAT! I CAN PROTECT US!" Hunter, Gloria, Sparx, and Cynder got close to Jet. Jet took a deep breath and focused on the power building inside her. She muttered, "Not yet! NOT YET!" As the first crack of thunder was heard, Jet roared as a shield of electricity expanded from her that covered everyone around her. Lightning began striking the battlefield. Several strikes hit Jet's shield and she winced each time, straining to keep it up. Cynder looked at Jet's face and saw her struggling. Cynder took a breath; and deactivated her pure fury. She then focused on her inner psyche. She swept through several locks deep within her and found one that shocked her when she touched it. She broke the lock after what felt like an eternity.

Jet kept straining to keep the shield up, every strike of lightning that hit her shield, causing her to lose a bit more control. The entire battlefield began to shock everything it touched and Jet muttered, "A full blast of electricity across the battlefield?! Are you out of your fucking mind Spyro?! I CAN'T PROTECT EVERYONE FROM THAT!" Jet heard Cynder's voice ask, "How does one make a shield out of electricity?! HOW CAN I HELP YOU?!" Jet replied, straining to speak for fear of losing concentration, "D-Don't worry a-about it! It's a highly advanced use of the element! Even if you unlock the ability to use the element of electricity right here and right now, it may take you years to learn how to make a shield!" Cynder replied, "JUST TELL ME! I CAN DO THIS! I CAN HELP YOU!"

Jet about fell to her stomach as another blast of lightning hit the shield and she hissed as she stood back up fully and said swiftly, "Alright! I am only going to get to say this once before all hell breaks loose so listen closely!" Jet continued, "Focus on the electricity crackling across your body. Focus on only that. Everything is an electrical stimulus. You are the electricity and the electricity is you. Let that power build within you, and shape it to your will. As the power expands and builds within you, keep molding it to perfection, OR IT WILL FAIL! Once you have molded it to perfection, unleash that power within you. Set your paw on mine and I can help a little. It's a matter of total and complete concentration! IF YOU LOSE YOUR CONCENTRATION FOR EVEN A FRACTION OF A SECOND, IT WILL GO AWAY!" Cynder set her paw on Jet's without hesitation. Electricity began crackling between the two Dragonesses, covering their body, the sound of the electricity crackling almost drowning out all other sounds. Cynder did as Jet instructed, and kept molding the power building within her to perfection.

Jet looked around and saw electricity cover the battlefield. Jet prepared herself for the shock that was coming. Just as lightning covered the entire battlefield, Cynder roared as she made a shield of electricity underneath Jet's to protect everyone. As the lightning struck Jet's shield, she yelled in pain as it was destroyed. Jet immediately fell to her stomach, her paw still touching Cynder's. Cynder growled lightly as she struggled to keep her shield up. She growled, "Not today. NOT TODAY MALEFOR! I STILL HAVE MY WHOLE LIFE AHEAD OF ME!" Cynder's shield began cracking and Cynder planted her feet, the ground below her, cracking from the strength of Cynder keeping her feet planted.

Multiple explosions were heard as the totems shattered and sent electric shockwaves throughout the battlefield. As the shockwaves hit Cynder's shield, more cracks formed in her shield and she hissed, concentrating on keeping the shield up, the cracks slowly healed over time. Cynder almost fell to her stomach as another lightning blast covered the battlefield. Several yowls of pain were heard from the apes and wyverns as they immediately perished, the amount of electricity coursing through them, causing their hearts to explode. Blood exploded from each enemy's chest and head as they fell to the ground dead. The barrage of lightning slowly stopped as the storm clouds vanished.

Cynder deactivated her shield and collapsed immediately as she began to gasp for breath. Jet looked at her and said with a smile, "You did it. Good job." Jet looked up, and her face became grim. She tackled Cynder out of the way as a lone strike of lightning struck Jet as she had tackled Cynder out of the way. Jet yelled in agony and collapsed on the spot, her breathing shallow and weak. Cynder yelled, "JET NO!"

Spyro felt like lightning hit him and almost fell from the sky. Spyro looked below him as he deactivated his electric fury. He said, "Oh no! JET!" He immediately flew down and landed harshly as he began running towards Jet.

There we go! Bit of a cliffhanger! I KNOW! I AM TERRIBLE! I hope you all enjoy and as I said above, if anyone remembers the name I used before for Ignitus's mate, let me know. And I will make a poll or something that will be up for about a month or two. Whatever name wins will be the name that Ignitus's mate will have. Anyhow! Until Next time! Ancestors watch over you all!
