CHAPTER 7: The sports festival (Part 2)
My Hero Academia World, U.A. Stadium [14:03]
Thirty minutes before the last round begins, Luffy left the cafeteria with his stomach full and a satisfied smile on his face.
"Woah...That was great! Lunchie's food is the best" Luffy said. He was very lucky that someone like Lunch Rush existed in this world, otherwise he will be always at the edge of starvation.
After a couple of minutes walking around, and getting lost quite a few times as well, he finally reached the two main entraces that the students use to enter the stadium. He was just going to take the left corridor when he saw a familiar figure leaning against the wall of the adjoining hallway.
"Hey! Little bush" Luffy called him but he got no response "Little bush?" He said again, obtaning the same result.
Izuku was standing in front of him with a hand on his chin and his eyes not leaving the floor; he seemed to be so immersed in his thoughts that even his mumblings were more incomprehensible than normal.
In another attempt to capture his attention, Luffy approached his friend and waved his hand in front of his face, but there was no reaction either.
It was when he laid a hand on Izuku's shoulder that he got a response from him, although it wasn't what he expected.
The sudden touch along with the realization that someone was beside him, made Izuku jump out of fright and let out a not very masculine scream. He only managed to calm down after he saw it was just Luffy.
"Oh! It's you, Luffy-san" He said, placing a hand on his chest "D-Don't scare me like that again"
"Hey, it's not my fault! I called your name twice but you ignored me"
"Oh?... Oh my god! R-Really? I'm sorry, I think my mind was in other things" He said, nervously scratching his head.
"In what things?" Asked the other boy out of curiosity.
"N-Nothing important, don't worry" Izuku said, purposely trying to ovoid eye contact.
Luffy tilted his head "I don't believe you. What happened?" He asked, taking one step forward.
"W-What?"
"I asked what happened"
"I-I don't know w-what you mean" He said, taking several steps back.
"Don't lie. Your aura is all over the place and I didn't felt your presence during lunch. So, what happened?" Luffy asked again, this time making eye contact.
Izuku was now in a situation where he didn't know what to do. He was aware that he couldn't tell Luffy about Todoroki's family issues, not without his consent at least, but at the same time, he knew that his friend won't stop asking until he gave him a real answer. He has already experienced first-hand how stubborn the captain could be sometimes.
He let out a loud sigh "I just had a conversation with Todoroki-san and... well..." What can I tell him? However, before he could come up with something the other interrupted him.
"Huh? Candy Cane? Did he do something bad to you? Do you want me to punch him?" Luffy said, raising his fist.
Izuku would've thought it was a joke if it weren't for the seriousness with which he said it.
"What? No! Of course, not. He didn-... We were just talking!" He said, but Luffy kept looking at him with exepticism "I assure you it was nothing. He only told me something personal about him a-and... and I suppose I didn't know how to assimilate it. That's why I was so distracted"
"Are you sure?" Luffy asked again, with his arms crossed.
"Yes. Don't worry, Luffy-san. I'm fine"
"Okay. But if someone messes with you, you have to tell so I can punch his face"
"But L-Luffy-san, don't you think that's too much?"
"Of course not! We are friends, and friends always have your back no matter what!" He firmly said, surprising his friend for a moment. Luffy has always being very protective over the people he considered a nakama, and he won't change that now "And I'm also your captain, it's my job to protect you"
When Luffy finished speaking, Izuku's slightly startle expression transformed into a little smile "I guess you are right, captain" He said with a soft voice, although in the back of his mind, a little part of him was still doubting his words.
It's not like it's his fault though. Sadly, he spent his entire childhood and the beginning of his adolescence without any friends and in Kachan's company, a person who viewed their 'relationship' in not a very pretty light.
After that experience, it's normal that even now our green bean remains a little exceptical when a person offers him unconditional friendship. The concept itself was still too foreign to him.
Well. I don't think I have another option but to get used to it. He happily thought. "Luffy-san, why don't we go to the arena. There is still time so we can hang out with the others before the third round starts"
The other smiled brightly in response "Yeah, let's go!"
They leave side by side without noticing that another person has also listened to their conversation.

Thanks to Izuku, it didn't took them long to arrive to their destination. However, instead of entering, both of them stopped when they found all their female classmates, with troubled expressions, hiding behind the entry to the arena while wearing... cheerleader uniforms?
This is odd. Thought Izuku.
After a few seconds standing there, the girls also noticed their presence. Some of them greeted them with tense smiles and others simply looked away, a little embarrassed.
"Luffy, Deku-kun! Are you going to enter already?" Ochako happily asked as she tried to hide how uncomfortable she was with her current attire.
"Y-Yes, Uraraka-san" Izuku said, feeling a little flustered by her friend's proximity.
While he was trying, in vain, to hide his blush, Luffy was looking at their uniforms with curious eyes.
"Hey! Why are you all wearing that? Are you going to a party?" Asked Luffy as his lips formed a little pout "Why anybody told me? Do you have more costumes? Can I be a mink like the rat boss?"
The girls watched him confused.
"I'm sorry, Luffy-san. This is only for the girls. We were told that we have to dress up like cheerleaders for the side games" Replied Momo with her usual calm demeanour.
Then Izuku tilted his head, frowing a little "Really? That's... That's weird, I didn't hear anything about this. Uraraka-san, a-are you sure this is not a misunderstanding?"
Her friend shook his head "I don't think so, Deku-kun. I mean, it was a surprise for us too, but we were informed that it was Aizawa sensei who agreed to this"
"That's right" Confirmed Tsuyu "And that the captain knew about this too" She said looking at Luffy.
"Huh? Me?" He questioned, pointing at himself "I know nothing. If I had, I would have brought a pirate costume for myself"
Izuku nodded "Besides that, don't you think it's a little suspicious? I-I mean, if you really had to do this I'm sure Iida-san would have informed you in advance. He usually doesn't forget things like this"
"..."
After hearing their words, the girls' faces went from confusion to realization to pure anger in the blink of an eye; it was almost comical.
Our captain would've laughed at them if he hadn't experienced, numerous times, how dangerous Nami and Robin are when they are mad. Girls are scary when they are angry. He thought.
"Then, if what the captain said was true, that means..." Started Hagakure.
"That means that the purple gnome and the electric rat have tricked us!" Finished Mina throwing her pom-poms to the floor
"I can't believe it-kero"
"I'm going to kick their asses!" Exclaimed Jiro, really furious.
"I'll go with you!"
"Me too. I want to punch them!"
"Well said, Ashido-san! Let's go" Jirou said, determined to go after Mineta and Kaminari.
However, Uraraka decided to intervene "Girls, girls. Wait, I'm also really angry but it's better to deal with them after the Sports Festival" She said, placing herself in front of them.
"But Ochako, we can't just let this go"
"I know, but we can report them to Aizawa-sensei later. If we do something to them as you all suggest, we'll be the ones getting into trouble, not them"
She was trying her best to calm them down, and fortunately her last words seemed to work.
"Hmm. Maybe you are right" Said Mina, more relaxed "Besides, we'll already take a little revenge on them when they see us appear without the uniforms"
"Yeah, I suppose"
"I guess that's better than nothing" Said Jirou.
At the end, all seemed to have reached an agreement, although that didn't diminish the shame they felt for having been so easily fooled.
They were about to leave to the girls' locker room to change their attire when Luffy's voice made them stop on their tracks.
"But I don't understand. Why don't you do something now?"
Mina was the first to answer his question "Luffy, have you not listenned to Ochako? If we beat them up the teahers are going to punish us instead"
"But we don't have to do that. There are other ways" Luffy said as a mischeivous smile broke out on his face. The others, however, looked at him confused "Right, Little bush?" He then said adressing his friend.
Izuku, as well as the girls, didn't understand what the rubber boy was talking about; at least, until he saw the mischief and playfull glow in his eyes "Oh?... Oh! Yes! Luffy-san is right! There is other way" He said before turning towards his female classmates "B-But we'll need your help and two of your uniforms too"
Little by little the girls also realized what their captain was trying to say and they couldn't help but imitate Luffy's smile.

A couple of minutes later, Kaminari and Mineta were seen heading towards the boy's locker room.
"Hey, why do you think Luffy wanted to see us?"
"Dunno, but probably Iida told him to do something before the third round started"
"Maybe. I just hope we can go back in time to see the girls with the uniforms" Mineta said, drool running down his chin. " The reporters will take a lot of photos. I can't wait to make posters for my bedroom"
"Same here... Although, I didn't think it would be so easy to convince them. We were pretty smart" Kaminari proudly said.
"Yes, we were"
After that, it wasn't long before they arrived to the changing room.
Once they were in front of the door they opened it and took a step inside, however they didn't see anybody there.
"Luffy, are you here?"
"Captain?"
After calling Luffy a couple of times more, and not obtaining an answer, they were ready to leave, but before they could do it they felt how someone kicked them in the back, making them fall to the floor.
"What?"
"Ouch! Who...?"
They turned around to face the culprits, but instead of the boys of their class, they saw Mina, Jirou and Uraraka standing in front them with cunning smiles.
The girls steped inside the room too and then proceed to close the door behind them.
At that moment, Kaminari and Mineta felt a shiver run down their spine; they had a bad feeling about this.
This hunch was only reaffirmed when they heard a famliar voice behind them.
"Guys, what took you so long? We were waiting for you"
A smiling Luffy appeared in front of them with Midoriya, Hagakure, Momo and Tsuyu by his side.
"C-captain? M-Midoriya?" Stuttered Mineta.
"What is happening?"
"W-why are all of you here?"
"Well, we only thought that, since the two of you liked these clothes so much, it would be a shame if you didn't use them too" Izuku said showing them the cheerleader costume with one hand and the pom-poms with the other "Don't you think so?"
It wouldn't be an exageration to say that at that moment, Kaminari's and Mineta's faces lost all color; they were as pale as a white sheet of paper.
"Hmmm, w-what... what are you talking about?" Kaminari said, his voice full of nervousness.
"Guys, don't worry" Said a very calmed Momo "We are just going to give you what you deserve" The sweet smile in her face only scared the boys even more.
Kaminari and Mineta gulped hard and, like the cowards they were, tried to walk backwards towards the door in an attempt to scape; forgeting for one moment that the only exit of the room was also blocked.
"Where do you think you are going?" Asked Uraraka as she put her hands in Kaminari's shoulders.
"Stay a little more, the party has just begun" Said this time Mina, imitating Ochako's action.
Oh, no. It was the only thing they could think of as they saw Luffy cracking his knuckles and the other girls slowly approaching them like predators.
Mama, help me.

"Okay, dear public! Now that the luch is over, it's finally time to reveal the last game! But before that, there are some good news for all the people who didn't make it to the finals" Said President Mic as the students started to come back from the one hour break " At the end of the day, this is still a sports festival, so we also prepared recreational games that everybody can participate in! We even brought real cheerleaders to cheer you u-... Huh?" The pro-hero interrupted his speech when somenthing, or better said someone, caught his attention "Wait a moment, what is that?"
"What the hell are they doing?" Said Aizawa as well.
The commentators, as well as the public, had now their eyes fixated in two boys that just entered the arena.
In absolute silence, both students, aware that everyone was looking at them, walked with his head down until they reached the center of the battle ground, where all the cameras of the Media could have a good shot of their faces and, most importantly, their attires.
After some seconds of quietness, the people in the stadium couldn't contain themselves anymore and bursted into laughter at the sight of Kaminari and Mineta dressing up like cheerleaders.
Little after, the sound of cameras taking photos was also heard, embarrasing the boys even more.
"HAHAHAHAHA. Ladies and gentleman, it looks like two enthusiastic students from class 1-A decided to cheer up their classmates themselves, isn't that great?" Said President Mic. He was laughing so much that he even had tears in his eyes "HAHAHAHAHA. This is good!"
I don't know why but I feel that this is well-deserved Thought Aizawa trying his best not to smile.
"Wow Kaminari, orange really suits you!"
"Come on, Mineta! I want to see those pom-poms up"
"Mes amis, you look absolutely D-I-V-I-N-E"
"Hey cuties, are you free after this?!"
"Oi! Why are you so stiff, dance a little for us!"
Those colorful comments reached Kaminari's and Mineta's ears, and to their dismay they couldnt do anything about it.
As a punishment for trying to trick the girls they now have to dress like this for the entirety of the recreational games. They only hoped that this will end soon and that their photos in a cheerleader unidorm won't be spread in social media, although deep down they knew that all their hopes were in vain.
Meanwhile, leaning in one of the walls of the stadium, the girls, along with Izuku and Luffy, were watching in first line the suffering of their pervert classmates with satisfied smiles. This will teach them a lesson for sure. They all thought.
A few moments later, President Mic was able to recover his composure "Okay dear audience, we've had a good laugh today, but I think it's time to announce the third and last event!" He said with his usual over-the-top personality "Midnight, it's all yours!"
"Thank you, Mic! Now, students. Pay attention!" Said the heroine "When the recreational games are over, the sixteen contestants that made it to the final round will duke it out tounament style, one to one!"
"Wow, a tournament!"
"That's so cool"
"The finalists will be able to choose whether they want to participate or not in the games. I'm sure some of you will want to rest or reserve your strength" She said "Now, let's draw lots to decide the pairs for the first round, we'll start wi-..."
"Um... excuse me!" Ojiro suddenly said interrupting Midnight speech and drawing the attention to him "I'm sorry but I'll withdraw from the competition"
"What?!"
"Seriously?!"
"Are you sure Ojiro?"
"I am" He replied giving a side glance to the purple-haired guy on his left "I barely remember anything from the last game, and I can't compete knowing that, unlike the other contestants, I didn't give my everything"
Ojiro's withdrawal was followed by other member of his own group in the calvary battle. Thanks to them and Kendo's team, who didn't want to participate either, Ibara Shiozaki and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu were able to enter the competition again.
"Well, now that we have the final contestants let's see the pairs for the first eight combats, shall we?" Right after Midnight finished speaking, behind her, the screens of the stadium showed said pairs.
Some students were pretty satisfied with their oponent and others, like Uraraka, not so much. In her case, she was already lamenting herself for having so bad luck, fighting Bakugo in the first round will be a nightmare.
And then we have people like Luffy who was watching the screen with a neutral face.
"Who is Capibara?" He asked.
"It's Ibara Luffy-san. Shiozaki Ibara"
"Yeah, yeah. But who is it?"
"It's that girl over there. The one talking to the blonde guy" Said Uraraka pointing to a pretty girl with green hair.
"Shiozaki-san is from class 1-B. I've never seen her fighting but I heard that she is pretty strong" Commented Mina this time.
"Hmmm. Well, I'm not worried" Luffy said nonchalantly before walking away, not realising that people that are not from his class also heard what he said.
As we all know, Luffy is not an arrogant person, it's just that sometimes he is too honest for his own good. And while his class was already used to this side of him, at least to some extent, and knew he didn't said those things with malice, others could easily misinterpret his comments.
"Tssk. That guy it's too full of himself" Said a blonde guy named Monoma "Shiozaki, you better put that idiot in his place"
"Arrogance is a sin, indeed. With God on my side, I'm sure I can teach him the right path" Shiozaki said, and Monoma seemed pleased with her answer.
"That's what I want to hear"
"But Monoma" One of his classmates, one with silver hair, said "I don't think he said it with bad intentions" It was Tetsutestu, he was one of the few of his class that heard Luffy's response when the guy from General Studies declared war on them.
"HA! Nonsense, class 1-A is full of pricks. After the villains attacked them they belive they are the center of the universe" He spittied disdainfully before going with the rest of his class.
An hour later, once the side games were over, the students of class 1-A decided to go to their area in the bleachers to watch the first combat. Most of them were really excited, except for Mineta and Kaminari, who wanted this day to be over as soon as possible, and Luffy who was looking everywhere trying to find his friend.
"Hey, Pink cheeks. Where's Little Bush?" Asked Luffy with a piece of meat in each hand.
"Luffy, have you forgotten? He's going to fight right now."
"Oh! Trhas reihgt! (That's right!)" He said with his mouth full of food.
"Oi, captain. Where did you get that?" Kirishima said pointing to the meat.
"This? It was lunchie, he thought I'd be hungry after the games"
"But how-...?"
At that moment their conversation was interrupted when they saw two students entering the arena.
"AUDIENCE! The finals you've all been waiting for are finally starting!" Said President Mic, receiveing a ovation from the crowd "In the first match, we have Midoriya Izuku, from the Hero course versus... Shitoshi Shinso from General Studies!"
"Look, it's Deku!" Exclaimed Uraraka.
"Come on guys we must cheer him up"
"YEI, YOU CAN DO IT LITTLE BUSH! KICK HIS ASS!" Luffy yelled so loud that even Izuku, Shinso and part of the crowd heard him "PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE!"
Ay no, Luffy-san. Thought Izuku trying to cover his red face with his hands.
After that embarrasing moment, President Mic announced the start of the combat; nonetheless, Izuku didn't move.
"Deku-kun?"
"What is he doing?!"
"Is he dumb? The fight has started"
The truth was that Izuku, despite of Ojiro's warning, has just been traped in Shinso's Quirk.
After realizing what was happening, Class 1-A saw how his friend, with a blank expression on his face, was now walking like a zombie towards the limits of the battle ground; all of them knowing that if he takes a step out of there, it's all over.
His friends and classmates were at the edge of their seats screaming at Midoriya to wake up, to turn around before it was too late. For a moment, even Luffy was tempted to use his Conqueror's Haki to free his friend from his trance, just like he did with himself in the calvary battle, but it was impossible; all his 'crew', as well as his guardians, would notice if he uses his haki and that could bring problems to both of them.
The next seconds passed painfully slow for the audience, the staff and the students; however, when Izuku was just a couple steps away from officially losing the first match, something happened.
"Huh?" Luffy abruptly stood up looking at one of the extremes of the arena confused "What the..." In the blink of an eye, he saw seven blurry figures appearing in the gate in front of Izuku.
"Captain, is there something wrong?" Asked Iida.
"Don't you see it?" He said eyes fixed in the familiar presences that were standing before his friend.
"What are you talking about?"
"Those things at the-..."
However he didn't have time to say nothing else when a powerful wind? explosion? suddenly popped up in the middle of the battle.
Luffy knew that power, it came from his friend and thanks to that he was able to get rid of his oponent Quirk.
After that incident the fight didn't last long and, like veryone was expecting from the begining, Midoriya Izuku came out as the winner.
A few moments later, after a quick visit to Recovery Girl, Izuku arrived to where the rest of the class was seated, and apart from the congratulations from his others classmates, he also found his friend Luffy watching him intently with a frown on his face.
"L-Luffy-san, is something wrong?" He asked.
"What were those weird people? The ones that appeared in front of you, you saw them too, right?"
Luffy's question almost gave Izuku a heart attack, he definetly wasn't expecting that.
He looked at his sides with a frantic expression trying to find out if someone else has heard what Luffy said. Fortunately for him, the rest of the class wasn't paying attention to them.
After that, he took a deep breathe, and once he managed to calm down, he forced himself to raise his head again and look at Luffy who was patiently waiting for him to answer his question.
"Luffy-san, I can't tell you anyhting right now, I-I...I have to talk to someone before giving you an answer. Can... Can we leave this conversation for later?"
Our captain remained silent, looking at his friend's eyes as if he was trying to read his mind. For his part, Izuku didn't dare to move until he saw Luffy's face broke into a huge smile.
"Of course, Little bush!" He happily said.
The other boy, who was unconciously holding his breath, let out a sigh of relief "Thank you, Luffy-san"
After that, the time passed pretty quickly and before they knew it the next combat already ended with an overwhelming victory for Todoroki, meaning that now it was Luffy's turn to show off his skills.
"Alright, dear public! After that incredible demostration of power from Todoroki Shoto, it's time for the third match. ARE YOU READY?!" The audience anwered with another ovation "Okay! In one side we have the assasin of class 1-B! From the Hero course, Shiozaki Ibara versus... until now the star of today's competition, the person that managed to hold the first position in this entire event. He is the captain of class 1-A! Ladies and gentlemen, also from the Hero course...Monkey D. Luffy!"
It would be obvious to say that the crowd went crazy with the appearance of our captain.
"Are you ready?!" Screamed President Mic "START!"
Shiozaki didn't waste a second and once the battle begun she made the first move. The vines of her hair touched the ground and rapidly spread towards Luffy's direction.
"Sorry, but this will end quickly" She said before the vines wrapped around our captain; or well, at least, that's what she tried to do.
With amazing reflexes and speed Luffy managed to, not only dodge Shiozaki's trap, but also place himself behind her in a split of a second.
And before she or any person in the public could even react, Luffy had already launched his first attack.
"Wha-..."
"Gomu Gomu no... PISTOL!" He shout as his fist met his oponent's stomach.
Although he held himself back, the punch was still strong enough to inmediately sent Shiozaki to the other side of the battle ground. The only reason she didn't ended up being slammed against the wall as well was because she was able to anchor her vines to the floor and stop before she crossed the limits.
Aah...aah...how...how is he so fast? Thought Ibara, putting a hand in her injured stomach. She knew she will lose if she received directly another blow. I have to finish this quickly.
"Incredible! What a demostration power and speed on Luffy's part!" Commented President Mic "No wonder he got first place in the last two games"
For his part, Luffy looked at her with genuine surprise in his face "Wow! You're still standing. I'm impressed! But sorry, the fight won't last much longer" He said cracking his knuckles and a grin forming on his lips.
Luffy then proceeded to run full-speed towards Shizaki who, trying desperately to maintain his oponent as far from her as possible, started to throw attack after attack, without a break, hoping that one of them could capture the captain of class 1-A. But, unfortunately, the other boy was simply too fast for her.
I have to stop him. She thought, frustration and nervousness building up in her as she saw how the distance between her and Luffy was decreasing at an alarming pace.
Shiozaki's emotions combined with the fatigue that was starting to take over his body, made her movements become increasingly sloppy. As a result, she unconsciously dropped her defenses as he was too focused on attacking Luffy; what was a critical mistake.
The moment Luffy saw an opening he used shave and vanished from everyone's sight only to reappear two seconds later on his oponent's right side, ready to deliver the final strike.
"Gomu Gomu no... BAZOOKA!"
Oh no.
As expected, Luffy's punch sent Shiozaki directly to the wall, breaking two of her ribs and knocking her out in the process.
"Shiozaki is out of the limits! Monkey D. Luffy advances to the second round!" Announced Midnight.
"That was great. The kid did a good job" Said a random hero.
"Yes. He has potential for sure. I can't wait to see him fight again"
While the crowd cheered and celebrated his win Luffy walked towards the end of the ring.
"Hmm. I think I went too hard on her" He said, looking down at his oponent. She hasn't recovered conciousness yet, so he decided to take the girl to the healing Granny himself before the medical team arrived.

One Piece World, in an unknown place of the New World [15:58]
In an unknown place of the new world, the Straw-hat pirates, except for Zoro and Ussop, who were needed in a... 'special mission', and Franky, who was in the laboratory with Dr. Vegapunk, were busy going through some books, documents and navigation charts.
They have been in there since the morning and their bodies were starting to resent them.
To wake them up and force them to rest a little, Sanji brought desserts and a large amount of coffee. He was silently serving the girls their portions when he suddenly felt a strong shudder run down his body that almost made him drop the tray with the food he brought to the floor.
The others stopped what they were doing and looked at him with concern.
"Sanji-kun, is there something wrong?" Asked Robin, sipping a little of his coffe.
"Hmm. I don't know" He said scratching his chin "It was my lady's sensor but something was weird"
"As if it's not already weird that you have somenthing called lady's sensor" Muttered Nami with a deadpan expression.
"What does that sensor do, Sanji?" Questioned Chopper.
"Well, it warns me when someone is harrasing an innocent lady, but this time my Luffy's sensor was also activated"
"Luffy's sensor?" Said this time Jinbe.
"Yeah, it tells me when the captain is doing something worthy of beating him up, like when he tries to steal food in the middle of the night"
"Yohoho, then that means that is Luffy-san who is causing problems to an innocent lady?"
Silence followed Brook's question.
"He better not. Because if that's the case when we bring him back I will only feed him with broccoli for one month!" He said with a sadistic smile. His Germa genes were never so evident.

This time it was our captain who suddenly had a bad feeling, it reminded him when Sanji caught him eating all the meat reserves they had before reaching Dressdrosa.
However, Luffy being Luffy, he simply ignored the thought and focused in carrying Capibara, who was in still uncouncious in his arms, to the infirmary.
This good action was seen by everybody what made the people like him even more: the audience, including his classmates, couldn't help but praise him for his sportmanship and respect towards his rival.
"Our captain is so manly!" Said Kirishima.
"As expected of the class representative! Always setting a good example for the rest of us" Commented Iida feeling proud for being his vice-captain.
Soon after, Luffy returned to class 1-A area to see the rest of the combats. He was excited to see his new nakamas fight, nontheless this excitement didn't last long as he fell asleep in the middle of the fight between Kirishima and Tetsutesu.
He also missed the next two fights, which were won by Tokoyami and Mina, and only woke up at almost the end of Iida's and Hatsume's 'combat', if we can call it that.
"Yawn... That was a good nap" Said Luffy stretching his body.
Moments later, Iida joined him and Izuku to watch the last fight of the first round: Uraraka vs Bakugo.
The moment both students took a step on the battle ground it was clear that, despite being from the same class, a great part of their classmates, especially the girls and Luffy, obviously favored Uraraka over the blond chihuahua with anger issues.
"START!" Midnight said.
The last combat begun and, to everybody's surprise, Uraraka was the first one to attack. She knew that she could only win if she made Bakugo float but to do that she needed to to touch him, what is proving to be extremely difficult.
Her oponent had very good reflexes so each time she tried to get closer to him she received a blast in the face, although that didn't stop her to keep trying, hoping the trap she was setting would work.
All her friends were watching her with concern, except for Luffy; he was simply enjoying the fight.
After a while, Bakugo started to get bored, he was easily blocking his oponent's attacks time and time again. I should end this now. He thought, but before he could make his move he saw her smile. What?
Uraraka knowing she was at her limit decided to use her last trick. I hope this works. "RELEASE!" She said.
Little after a surprised Bakugo saw how a large number of rocks started to fall towards him like a meteor shower, while Ochako tried to approach him one last time. It was a great strategy, but unfortunately it was not good enough to win.
Bakugo with one giant blast destroyed everything, making Uraraka fall hard to the ground due to the power of the explotion.
From the bleachers, Luffy was waching slightly impressed how Pink cheeks, even after the blond ruined her plan, was still trying to get up again. She had more willpower than almost everyone in this stadium, including the so called pro-heroes, nontheless her physical strenght and stamina weren't at the same level.
Five seconds later she lost conciousness.

"Come on Little Bush!"
"Don't worry Luffy-san, we have time" Izuku said.
Before the second round of the tournament begins, the teachers gave their students some time to rest and restore their energy.
In that time, Luffy and Izuku decided to visit Uraraka in the waiting room.
When they openend the door, they saw her seated, quietly looking at her tightly clenched hands above the table and biting her lips hands. She seemed so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even hear them enter the room.
"Uraraka-san?" Called Izuku.
At the sound of her name, the girl perked up and turned her head towards the door, where her friends were standing "Oh! It's you, guys. Did you come to see me?" She said quickly putting a happy mask in her face, although not fast enough for the boys not to notice the look of disappointment and defeat she had in her eyes.
Izuku and Luffy looked briefly at each other before answering.
"Y-yes. We came to congratulate you. Youd didn't win but you did a great job. Kachan was really caught by surprise by your last move" Said Izuku trying to cheer up his friend "I'm sure that you would've beat him if you had more time"
"Yes. You did well Pink cheeks" Said Luffy with a big grin "And that last attack was really cool! I didn't notice the rocks until you throw them to the angry blonde"
Uraraka giggled "Thank you!" She said showing a more honest smile "It was a really difficult fight and, at the beginning, I didn't know what to do until I remembered your words" She said, this time looking directly at Luffy.
"My words? What words?" He asked raising his eyebrow.
"Well, in the first days of school, when I told you that my Quirk was useless in combat you reprimand me saying 'There are no weak powers just people not creative enough to make them powerful'" Ochako said surprising Izuku. He also had those words very present since that day "When I saw I was going to fight Bakugo in the first round I was really scared until I remembered that. It made me think out of the box and tried to exploit my Quirk in a more creative way, that's how I come up with that strategy. However, at the last moment I rush myself and lost" She said, nervously scratching the back of her head, her eyes becoming gloomier than before.
She was a little embarrased and, if she was honest with herself, she also wanted to cry. Despite giving everything she had it seemed like, at the end, those with Quirks like hers won't ever be able to reach those with combat Quirks like Bakugo's or Midoriya's; the gap between them will always be too big, no matter how hard she tried, and that was frustrating.
Tears started to form in the corner of her eyes but before they had an oportunity to fall, she felt a hand pantting gently her head. When she looked up she saw Luffy giving her a bright smile "Hey, don't be sad Pink cheeks. I'm sure that with more training you will kick his ass. I'm sure of it. Shishishi"
Uraraka sniffed and cleaned her tears with her hand "Are you telling me this because you really believe it or because you pity me?" She said hoping it was not the last.
Luffy frowned "Pity? Never. I saw your entire fight, you have more willpower than most people here, including that blond angry dork you fought with" Ochako and Izuku laughed for the comparison "That's already half of the work done"
"Really?" She asked feeling hopeful again.
"Yeah. Having a strong will and train extra hard it's what made me strong. And if it worked for me I'm sure it'll work for you too"
Uraraka, seeing the honesty in Luffy's face, he lowered his eyes and nodded, as if she had just come to an agreement with herself "Luffy, can I ask you something?" She said looking directly in his eyes.
Luffy tilted his head "Sure. What is it?"
To the boys surprise, Uraraka bowed in front of his friend and with a new resolution she made her request "Please. Train me, captain"

Several minutes later, and after an interesting conversation, Izuku and Luffy said goodbye to Ochako, it was Izuku's turn to fight. And this time was against Todoroki.
He wasn't going to lie, he felt really nervous. He knew that, despite Luffy's optimism, Todoroki will win this combat. And he was right.
Initially, Izuku was able to stop pretty much all the initials attacks but at the cost of his fingers and arm; he knew he wouldn't last much longer, so at the end he thought that, at least, he will make something more to make his wounds worthwhile. And boy, he definitely did it.
In the last moments, he forced Todoroki to use his fire powers.
Izuku had been thinking about what Todoroki told him the entire day so, being the way he is, he made his mission to help his classmate to start overcoming his trauma. The only downside of that action was hearing Endeavour stupid words.
Little after, Izuku was carried in a stretcher towards the infirmary where a big reprimand awaited him.
Now it was time for the second match of this round: Luffy vs Kirishima. However, there is nothing to highlight in this battle.
Despite Kirishima's strong determination, the battle ended as fast as it started. To everyone's surprise, it only took one punch from Luffy to break the readhead defenses and send him to the wall.
"Kirishima has crossed the limits. Monkey D. Luffy advances to the third round!" Announced Midnight.
And just like he did in his previous combat, Luffy walked again to where his oponent was lying and tend his hand to help him get up.
"Sorry, I punched you too hard. I didn't want this to finish so quickly"
"It's okay. Thank you, captain" The redhead said taking his hand "But watch out, because next time we fight I'll make sure to beat you"
Luffy smiled in response.
For their part, the people on the crowd was ectastic. Cheers and applauses was the only thing that could be heard at that moment.
It was obvious that the Straw-hat pirate was becoming the favorite of the Sports Festival thanks to his charismatic personality what pleased his guardians much more than they, especially Aizawa, would admit to themselves.
FIfteen minutes later, the third and fourth fights of the second round concluded leaving Bakugo and Tokoyami as the winners of their respective combats. Now, it was time for the semi-finals and one of the most awaited fights: Luffy vs Todroki.
Luffy was walking around the corridors of the stadium. He was going to the waiting room when someone called him from behind.
"Hey! Starw-hat!"
"Huh?" Luffy turned around only to see a muscular guy like Mr. Steroids, probably a little shorter, with flames coming out of his body. He has fire powers like my brothers. "Did you call me, old man?"
The man's eye twiched in annoyance "Old man? Do you know who you are talking to, boy? I'm the No. 2 hero!" He said looking directly into his eyes. He was trying his best to intimidate the insolent kid in front of him in vain.
Grandpa is way scarier. The other thought as he watched the man in front of him with a blank expression.
"Well, good for you" Luffy said picking his nose "Now, what do you want?" He asked looking back at him.
Endeavour was a little surprised by the boy's actitud. Ha. This boy has balls, I'll admit that. "I watched you throughout the entire competition. Your Quirk is ridiculous but you have a unique way to use it besides great physical strenght and speed, what makes you a good adversary"
"Yeah, yeah thanks. Is that all?" Luffy asked picking his nose.
"No" He said "Your next fight is gainst my son Shoto, and as his father I expect you to force him to use his fire side again. With both sides he will be unstoppable, but he's too stubborn to listen to me. You must..."
"Nop, I won't do it" Luffy immediately said.
"W-What?"
"I said I won't do anything. Sure, It'll be more fun if Candy Cane uses his fire powers but if he doesn't want to then that's okay too" He said with an impassive face, caring very little who the older guy is in this world or how much power he has. He remind him of Akainu and, for him, that was enough reason to dislike the man "If that's it, bye. I want to eat something before the fight" That's the last thing Luffy said before turning around and entering the waiting room, leaving the pro-hero speechless by his blunt response.
Little was his surprise when after he entered the room, he found Todoroki standing in front of him with his arms crossed and a look of gratitude? confusion? distrust? probably a mix of all those emotions.
"Oh! Candy Cane. I saw your dad" Luffy said "I don't like him, but if you want to talk to him he's outside" He told him with a smile.
"... No, thank you" Todoroki said after a few moments of silence "I don't want to see my sperm donor right now"
Luffy only shrugged his shoulders "Okay" He was going to walk past him to if there is more meat left in his locker when Todoroki grabbed his arm "Huh?"
"Thank you" He started saying "Thank you for not giving in to my father's request"
Luffy tilted his head "It was nothing but why don't you want to use your fire powers? They are really cool!"
Todoroki released his arm before answering "I don't want to give him the satisfaction of using his power. I'll become a hero only using my mother's ice"
"Huh? But that's stupid. It's your power not your dad's" Luffy said not really understanding the situation
The other boy shook his head "No. I won't be used to achieve his ambition. If I use my fire side I'll be just like him" He said clutching his hands together.
"But that doesn't make sense" Luffy said eating a piece of meat "My two older brothers have the same powers but not for that they are the same person"
"..."
"If you don't want to use it because you don't like fire then that's okay, but if the reason is other person then that's a waste of time" He continued saying "Live for yourself, not for others. That's what Ace used to tell me all the time"
Todoroki remained silent thinking about Luffy's words and when he was about to respond to him the door was suddenly opened.
"Monkey D. Luffy, Todoroki Shoto. It's time for your fight" Said a memeber of the staff.
"YOSH! Let's go!" Luffy said before running outside the room.
For his part, Todoroki reamined behind a couple of seconds more. Was he right? Am I giving my father even more power over my life by doing this? Those thoughts kept repeating in his head even after his battle with Luffy ended.

"Ladies and gentlemen. We are now officially in the semi-finals witnessing one of the most awaited combats of the day!" Commented President Mic "Todoroki Shoto vs Monkey D. Luffy!"
Both contestants entered the arena from their respectives gates and walked into the ring. Midnight, always with his whip in hand, was the one who announced the begining of the fight.
"START!"
The combat has just started and Todoroki, trying to replicate his fight with Sero, threw a gigant wave of ice towards Luffy, hoping to end this match quickly. However, from the beginning he knew it won't be so easy.
"Gomu Gomu no... PISTOL!"
Luffy, making use of his Armament Haki, was able to destroy Todoroki's ice attack under the stunned gaze of the crowd.
"Wow. Did you see that?"
"That was incredible!"
"His Quirk is only rubber? Impossible!"
"What an amazing start, dear public. It is clear that they are at another level!" Screamed President Mic.
Damn it. He is too strong. Todoroki thought, although that didn't stop him to keep trying.
Knowing that frontal attacks won't do much, Shoto put another plan into motion; first he limited Luffy's moves creating to big ice-walls and then threw a second and third ice-waves towards his oponent, the last a little slower than the first.
As he has planned, Luffy jumped to destroy the first attack with another punch, in which he succeed. However, this time when he landed he lost his balance and fell to the ground.
"Ouch! What the-..."
Todoroki, while he distracted Luffy with a flashy move, had frozen the ground under his feet making him him slip. As a result, the rubber boy couldn't stop Todoroki's second attack and ended up being frozen in a huge block of ice.
It worked.
For a moment, the crowd fell silent as well as the commentators.
"WHAT THE HELL?! Monkey D. Luffy has just been frozen in front of us!" Yelled President Mic recovering his voice. Come on Luffy, you can't lose like this.
For their part, the public start murmuring feeling a little disappointed that the fight had ended so soon.
Seeing how nothing was happening, Midnight was about to declare Todoroki the winner when the voice of Hizashi stopped her.
"WAIT A MOMENT! What is that?!" The spectators saw how the block of ice was emiting a faint light that started to glow brighter and brighter until said block cracked.
"Don't tell me..."
"Is that...?"
"Impossible" Mumble Endeavour.
"GOMU GOMU NO... GATLING!"
The crowd went crazy when they saw Luffy breaking from his frozen prison with his two arms covered in black and a strange red glow around them.
Aizawa and Hizashi looked at each other only thinking one thing. Ryou.
"B-But... how did you...?" Todoroki was standing in the same place with wide eyes not believing what he was seeing.
"Wow. That was great Candy Cane, it took me by surprise. Shishishi" Luffy said as he removed some ice chips from his shoulders. Then he raised his head and locked his eyes with his oponent "Now, use your fire side" He said, sounding more like a order rather than a request.
The sudden demand left Todoroki speechless for a moment "What? No! I already told my reasons"
"I also told you that your reasons are stupid" He said crossing his arms over his chest "Come on! Use it!"
"I said no!" Yelled Todoroki before resuming his ice attacks which, of course were being destroyed by Luffy time and time again.
In this exchange, they were recreating almost the same phenomenon as in his fight with Izuku, with the only difference that Luffy was not breaking his bones in the process.
As the time passed, Todoroki's ice waves were becoming weaker due to the backlash of his own Quirk. He knew that if he didn't use his flames he wouldn't be able to continue much longer. He was reaching his limit.
"Candy Cane" Called Luffy again "Use your fire"
Todoroki shook his head again "No! I can't"
"Yes, you can!"
"No, I can't!"
"YES, YOU CAN!" Luffy yelled, starting to get pissed with his classmate "Don't think about that dork you have for dad. It's your power not his, so don't be a coward!" He scream again making the other boy flinch "NOW, USE IT!"
Todoroki stood there in silence going over Luffy's words over and over again, debating the possibilities, wheter it was a good idea to do it or not, until his mind went blank, shutting down all his problematic thoughts except for two particular words. Use it.
The audience, who was now at the edge of their seats, saw how the ice in Todoroki's right side was melting down and little flames started to emerge on his left side until it became complete covered in fire.
"YES!" Luffy celebrated, like it was his victory. "I told you. You can do it! Shishishi"
Todoroki smirked "Yes, you were right. But don't expect me to give up" He said, his flames becoming more and more intense "The fight has just started"
Luffy smiled back "Then come for me!"
After that, the fight could only be described as complete madness.
The batlle ground became a much smaller and more chaotic version of Punk Hazard, with fire and ice everywhere and the occasional blasts of air that appeared when Luffy destroys one of the Todoroki's ice-waves with his haki.
It wouldn't be an exageration to say that you could hear a pin drop. The crowd, and even the commentators, were completely speechless, watching with wide eyes and open mouths the development of the combat; including the number 2 hero.
Endeavour knew that the rubber kid had a pretty good physical condition but, he didn't imagined he could keep up with his son while using the full potential of his power.
I have to keep an eye on him. He thought to himself. If I send him an invitation for the insternship, I could probably use him as a training partner for Shoto.
Coming back to the actual match, Todoroki kept throwing attacks to Luffy, nontheless he knew that he was getting tired again. This time for the lack of practice with the other half of his Quirk. And Luffy knew it too.
"Shishishi. I knew it will be fun fighting with you, Candy Cane; you almost pushed me to my second gear. But I think your are starting to get tired, right?" Said Luffy innocently. However, he didn't receive a response, his oponent remained in his posititon staring at him, panting and with sweat running down his temple "So what about this? We will give our everything in one last attack and who keeps standing wins" He proposed, a grin forming on his lips.
"Ha..." Todoroki knew that the captain was being generous. He had still plenty of energy, but instead of continuing he is giving him an opportunity to show off his skill one more time. And unfortunately for him, he didn't have any other plan "Bring it on!" He said, accepting the challenge. As a last resource, he was going to use his fire side to increase the power of his ice attack hoping it would be enough to stop the other.
"YOSH! I will use my one of my fire attacks too! Shishishi"
Fire attack? No way, he'll use...
"Gear Second!"
The public woke up from his stupor when they saw the rubber boy with pink skin again, like in the obtacle race, and the student with dual quirk starting to accumulate ice in his right side.
They were preparing their final moves, what got everyone excited.
For his part, Todoroki threw his last ice-wave although it was visible that this was more powerful than the previous ones as it was formed by more compacted ice.
Meanwhile, Luffy, with impressive strenght and agility, jumped at a ridicoulous height and stretch his arm back.
"Gomu Gomu no..." He yelled showing the stunned crowd his arm turning balck by the haki and being engulfed by flames "...RED HAWK!"
Both attacks clashed provoking an explotion so big and bright that most people had to look away.
After some seconds, no more noises were heard, so the spectators decided to open their eyes only to find Luffy standing in the centre of the battle ground while an unconcious Todoroki lay in the floor.
The silence was broken by Midnight's voice "T-Todoroki can't continue. MONKEY D. LUFFY ADVANCES TO THE FINAL ROUND!"

It would be an understatement to say that if before somenone doubted that Luffy will be the main protagonist of this day, he definitely doesn't now. However, that didn't sit well with a certain person.
That dumb rubber idiot! HOW DARE HE STEAL THE SPOTLIGHT! Bakugo was inside of the waiting room walking up and down trying to calm himself before the final battle.
Yes, Bakugo Katsuki was the other finalist, although that didn't surprised anybody. He was one of the strongest contestants after all, although that wasn't enought for him.
The problem was that, in his mind, today was supposed to be the day when he will show everybody that he is the best, the strongest. Nontheless, anything was going as planned; his participation was being eclipsed by a dumbass with a brain the size of a pea. And that is pissing him off to no end.
At that moment the door was opened and at the other side he saw one of his teachers, Cementoss.
"Bakugo Katsuki, you should get going to your gate. The final match is going to begin soon"
"HELL YEAH!" The explosive boy exclaimed as he rushed out of the room. I am going to destroy that good for nothing in front of the whole country. HE IS NOTHING COMPARED TO ME, AND I WILL PROVE IT TO THOSE EXTRAS. Bakugo thought while a feral smile broke out on his face.
Once the two finalists reached their respective entrances, they heard President Mic announcing their names.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMAN! The moment you've been waiting for has finnaly arrived: The final fight of U.A. Sports Festival" The crowd, as usual, replied with an enthusiastic ovation "In this last match, that will decided the top of the first years, we have the explosive blonde of the Hero course, Bakugo Katsuki versus... the captain of class 1-A, the star of today's event... He is the indredible MONKEY D. LUFFY!"
"Oi!" Excaimed Aizawa, trying to caught the attention of his boisterous partner "I told not to show so much favoritism!" He said covering the mic with his hand.
Hizashi frowned at the reprimand "I haven't done such a thing! I've been fair, it's not my fault that our kid is more lovable!"
"He's not our kid" Replied Aizawa, rubbing his temple.
The blond hero put his hands on his hips "For your information, he is our kid, at least until he comes back to his world. And now, be quite I want to see the future King of the Pirates beat the shit out of Bakugo" He said sticking out his tongue like a little kid.
Aizawa rolled his eyes at his partner's antics with a mix of exasperation and amusement. He would be lying if he said he also didn't want to see his most arrogant student being humbled, at least a little. You better not lose, kid. He thought as he redirected his atention to the battle ground.
At the same time that conversation was taking place, both finalists took their positions in the center of the arena.
Bakugo was with a murderous expression, he was glaring daggers at his oponent in a attempt to intimidate him. However, as expected, Luffy was oblivious to all of this.
Our captain was too busy enjoying, once again, the attention he was receiving from the public that he didn't even spare a glance in his direction. And that angered our explosive blonde even more.
At that moment, the thoughts that were crossing his mind regarding Luffy could be described as anything but kind. The little explotions that his hands were creating were proof of that.
A moment later, they heard Midnicht voice "ARE YOU READY?!...START!"
To anyone's surprise, Bakugo was the first to attack.
With his blasts, he rapidly covered the distance that separated him from his oponent and, once he was near enough, he extended his right arm towards him.
"DIE!" Bakugo yelled as he threw a big explotion to the boy's face.
In a normal fight against a normal person, he would have definitely have succeded; however we've know for a long time that our captain is anything but normal.
With his Observation Haki, it wasn't difficult to predict Bakugo's moves so when the blonde attacked him, Luffy simply had to take a step to the right to avoid the impact.
Seeing that he has missed, Bakugo used his blast once again to redirect his trajectory to continue attacking.
The next couple of minutes could be resume as Luffy continuously avoiding Bakugo's explotions what was frustrating the already angry blonde.
"DAMN IT, RUBBER BRAIN! STAY STILL!" The blonde yelled.
For his part, Luffy kept smiling and dodging until he started to get bored.
"Oi, blasty. Why do you keep doing the same thing? You don't know more tricks or what?"
"What did you say, little shit?!" Katsuki was losing his non-existent patience what drive him to use one of his best moves too early in the fight "We'll see if you can say the same after I destroy you... STUN GRENADE!"
Everybody in the audience hold their breath before such big explotion while a huge grin appeared in Bakugo's face. The smoke created by the impact didn't let anyone see what was happening however the blond knew he definitely hit his target.
Nontheless, what he did not expect was to see, after the dust cleared, Luffy still standing in the same spot covering his chest and face with his haki-covered arms. He not only had stopped the explotion with his Armament Haki but also he did it without even budging.
"Wow, that was cool blasty!" Said Luffy with a smile that seemed to never leave his face.
Meanwhile the other was just looking to the rubber boy with wide eyes "H-How.."
"But now it's my turn"
Without warning, Luffy started to counterattack. To his surprise, Bakugo was able to react quickly enough to dodge the first six punches, but it could not be said the same about the seventh.
"Gomu Gomu no... Pistol!" This time Luffy's attack was too fast for the other to avoid so his chest ended up receiving the impact.
Fortunately, he was able to stay in the limits of the ring thanks to his blasts, nontheless that didn't reduce the internal damage he already had. The blond could feel that he had at least one broken rib.
For their part, the people in the audience was ectastic seeing the combat, especially the pro-heroes. Some of them were already calling their agencies to make sure they were the first to send both finalists, especially Luffy, an invitation for the internship.
Among them, one white-haired bunny hero was watching the fight from his seat with a pleased smile. At the end, attending to the first years's stage proved to be more interesting that she had originally thought.
Back to the battle ground, Bakugo had already recovered his composure and threw himself towards his rival once again.
"Don't think I will be beaten so easily!" He yelled as he prepared his right hand to detonate another explotion.
However this time, instead of simply dodging the attack, Luffy also run towards his classmate without fear.
At the last moment, when the blond was barely two feet away from him, the straw-hat boy stepped to the side and grabbed his oponent's wrist...
"Wha-..."
And before the other could break free from the wrip, Luffy slammed his body against the floor, leaving the boy a little dizzy.
"You are pretty strong. But not more than me, sorry. Shishishi" Luffy said as he jumped above the blonde and stretched his feet to the sky, ready to deliver a devastating kick " Gomu Gomu no... Axe!"
Seeing what was coming and the possible outcomes if he didn't avoid it, Bakugo forced himself to move ignoring the ache in his head.
At the end, making use of his explotions one more time, he managed to narrowly escape what could have caused him a fatal injury.
A couple of seconds later, and disregarding the pain and mild fatigue his body was feeling, Bakugo get up quickly in time to dodge the next attack.
"Gomu Gomu no... Bazooka!"He made a big explotion that sent him to the other side of the ring. He wanted to put some distance between them to think.
Once he was sure he was safe from the rubber idiot, he proceeded to check his body.
Despite the damage, he saw he could move although the dizziness from before still remained. Apart from that, and a couple of broken ribs he was able to continue fighting. However, he knew that he can't receive another attack, not directly at least, if he wanted to have a good oportunity to win.
With a new determination in his eyes, he decided to try finish this quickly.
I don't have other options. think I'll have to use it. He thought
Without further delay, Bakugo repeated his last move. With his blasts he rapidly flew towards our captain who also run in his direction.
Perfect.
When they were a few meters away, Bakugo extended his right arm, like last time, but before Luffy could grab it again he pointed his hand to ground and detoned a medium explotion that sent him right above his oponent.
For a moment, this startled our captain, who now was looking at Bakugo with a mixed of surprise and amusement.
"Did you think I'll use the same move, dumbass? Now, you'll see what I'm capable of!"
Luffy only grinned and raised his fists "Bring it on, Blasty!"
Bakugo replied with a smirk before he started spinning with his blasts faster and faster; the result of that was a big destructive tornado.
"TAKE THIS! HOWITZER... IMPACT!"
With great speed, Bakugo hit Luffy squarely with all the stenght that reamined in his body.
After he landed, satisfaction started filling our explosive blond as he saw how half of the ring was now covered in smoke, dust and vivid orange colors.
His classmates as well as the audience were now at edge of their seats not beleiving what they were seeing. Most people present, including Bakugo, thought this was the end of the game for the rubber boy until they heard someone laughing.
"SHISHISHISHISHI"
Jumping above the cloud of dust, the astonished spectators saw Monkey D. Luffy emerging without almost any scratch apart from having two third parts of his T-shirt burned, provinding the female, and a portion of the male audience, a great view of his upper body.
"WHAT?!"
"It's impossible"
"That kid is insane!"
"Wow!"
For his part, Bakugo was paralyze on the spot. He was so shocked as well as tired from using his most powerful move that when the rubber boy attacked him, he knew he couldn't do anything but try to cover his body with his arms.
"Gomu Gomu no... Bazooka!"
Bakugo received another direct blow that made the air leave his lungs for a moment. After that he barely got a few second to recover before Luffy delivered the final hit.
"Gomu Gomu no... Whip!"
Stretching his leg, our captain gave his oponent a lateral kick that finally sent him to one of the wall's of the stadium and, consequently, out of the limits of the arena.
Silence then filled the building as the public saw how the explosive blond fall unconscious to the ground while the straw-hat pirate gave them his biggest smile.
After that it only took two seconds before the audience bursted into cheers and applauses, celebrating the victory of their favorite rubber boy. At the same time in the commentators booth, we could see two pro-heroes smiling as a sigh of relief came out of their lips.
It was then when Midnight rised her whip and announced...
"BAKUGO KATSUKI IS OUT OF BOUNDS. MONKEY D. LUFFY WINS!"
