Chapter 2
"Shingetsu..." the demons voice echoed the empty void
"Huh? Who's that?" The Human Counter part asked
"You." The Demon said slightly shifting his sitting position to be comfortable
"Oh,so we're giving each other names now huh?" 'Shingetsu' asked
"Yup,and I don't really need to be called anything else,I could just remain named as 'InuYasha' since it just stands for 'Half DEMON Dog' and well,it doesn't fit YOU since your HUMAN" 'InuYasha' stated.
"Good point,and the fact that my names translates to new moon,nice thinking..uhh...InuYasha--ehhh...yknow what? I'll just call you 'Demon' I'm not used to calling you with THAT name.." Shingetsu suggested
"Fine by me then" 'Demon' turned sideways and laid on his back
Shingetsu turned his head slightly catching a glimpse of Demon,his face was staring the complete opposite direction he was,He smiled a bit and turned his head back with both now staring in the opposite directions.

InuYasha half opened his left eye,it was night now,Kagome probably went home considering the fight this morning,the others where probably asleep at this rate,feels like midnight. 'Damn,missed dinner then..' InuYasha thought,He jumped down the tree and stumbled a bit as he landed. "Woah..probably got up too fast" he muttered,he looked around and sensed nothing out of the blue so he headed to the river, 'might as well get a short drink' he thought.
InuYasha walked through the empty forest,He then reached the river and got himself a drink after that he sat by the river side. 'So boring..' a thought echoed in his head,there was nothing else to do so he'd probably go back to the village until a demonic aura started to surround the place.
"Huh?! A demonic aura!" InuYasha said in caution as if he were trying to warn someone
A green beam came out of a bush and hit InuYasha on the back of his left shoulder "Urk! Wha- show yourself coward!" InuYasha sent blood blades at the bush,there was nothing there- well at least not anymore. "Keh! Got away" InuYasha scoffed he touched the back of his shoulder "must be some small fry demon,that attack didn't even hurt" he brushed it off,he then sniffed the air to make sure that the demon was really gone,it was,so he headed back to the village.

(Time skip: Morning)
Everyone(except Kagome) was inside Kaede's hut eating their breakfast,all was silent slurping their bowls of soup but looking at InuYasha with on eye open
"Look now if you guys are telling me to go fetch Kagome today then think again! I'm not doing it!" InuYasha snarled at them
Miroku put down his bowl and sighed "InuYasha,if you don't get Kagome today then the situation might get even worse,plus we have to gather the jewel shards quickly,it's been days since we even last found one,Naraku might just be ahead of us plotting new attacks or maybe gathering the rest of the jewel right now."
Everyone except InuYasha nodded in agreement
The huts door curtains shifted and everyone looked and went silent
"Oh,everyone's here,good morning everyone" Kagome said with a rather blank expression on her face
"Oh Kagome-chan you're back!" Sango said surprised
"Yeah,I'm sorry for suddenly leaving" Kagome smiled at her female friend as she went on inside,InuYasha in the meanwhile faced backwards staring at nothing but the wall, 'I guess he's still mad at me or he feels guilty..' Kagome though
"Don't worry InuYasha,I'm not mad anymore,you don't need to apologize if that's what your sulking about" Kagome chuckled,InuYasha's ear flinched a little and he looks back slightly,their eyes not meeting with his bangs covering up those golden hues
"Your..not mad anymore?..." he said quietly which was strange
"I'm not" she said as she shook her head slightly side to side,InuYasha just nodded as a reply, 'he was being definitely more different today what up with that?'Kagome thought
"Well,the jewel shards will not find itself and make its way to us,so let's get going shall we?" Kagome said in an inspirational tone and stood up,everyone except InuYasha replied in agreement which was very concerning,he's never usually THIS quiet.
"InuYasha? Are ye alright?" Kaede said and she stood up and walked to where InuYasha is sitting,she knelt down with one leg in front of InuYasha with one of her hand on InuYasha's shoulder, "InuYas--" She suddenly paused midway and gasped
"Lady Kaede what's wrong?!" Miroku said in alert as all of them gather in front InuYasha and Kaede,they where surprised to what was happening
InuYasha was suddenly shaking,his right eye was closed and the other was half lidded,his expression was as if he was in terrible pain,his breathing was alarmingly uneven,they laid him down and Kagome was trying to calm InuYasha down,while Sango and shippo rushed to get a bucket of water and cloth,Miroku and Kaede stayed with InuYasha and Kagome
"What's wrong with him Kaede?!" Kagome said as she held one of InuYasha's hands stroking a circular pattern on it trying to calm him down
"I've seen things like this before,he might be having a panic attack but InuYasha doesn't look like the type to even have one of those,he might be poisoned or something.." Kaede said trying to figure out the situation, "Get him undressed to see if there's any wounds on him causing this!" Kaede said
Miroku and Kagome got InuYasha's upper kimono off as well as his white robe,they inspected his front,nothing out of the ordinary until they turned him over,his upper back of his left shoulder had a green 'X' mark on him,By that time Sango and Shippo came back with the Bucket of water and cloth
"What is that?.." The Fox kit asked,Kaede just looked at the mark and shook her head,she doesn't know
"Is he poisoned?! Is it anything fatal?!" Kagome was in pre-panic, "Don't worry child,InuYasha isn't in a serious situation considering he calmed down now" InuYasha was already asleep but his expression held the same look as he was in pain
"I will do some research on anything about green x marks,while you stay here and keep him company" Kaede said as she stood up and left the hut,now it was just the group and a sleeping InuYasha left inside
