Chapter 5

Crona shift around nervously as Momo was putting up traps around the 'bomb'. They look down the hallway seeing all the tripwires that Momo put up. All seem well but Crona wonders what more they can put up. They try to get into the headspace of a villain. But only other reference they were Medu-

No.

Let's not go there.

While thinking over Crona realizes that while having traps set up and a battle plan, they could use an escaped one. Just in case something goes wrong.

"Umm Yaoyorozu," Crona spoke up and Momo turns to Crona.

"Yes, Stein?" Crona took in a deep breath as they were going to explain their plan. They still can't talk to girls…

" I think we should have an escape plan too." They suggest. Momo paused and put her hand on her chin in deep thought at this question.

"That would be a good idea but how do we carry it?" Momo asked. Crona simply walks up to it and lifts it easily.

"It's not that heavy," Crona explains.

Momo frown, "If this was real you can't just move around a missile because of one wrong move then that will explore." Crona made a face, "If was real." She quickly adds, "We still treat like this is a real mission. So if going to move it we have to be careful." Crona nods.

"We can go up to roof and then-," Crona was listening to Momo's explanation until they feel a chill and sense of danger.

'Crona!' Ragnarok shout in their head and Crona springs into action. They pick up Momo in a bridal style and jump out the window.

"Crona-!" Momo holds them tightly. Ragnarok's wings rip out of Crona's back and they drive out of the window and flew into the air. It's a good thing too because the building turns into a block of ice.

"S-sorry," Crona apologizes, "I feel the air getting colder and heard something, and I-I react." They explain to her.

Momo took a deep breath, "It's alright. If you haven't we would have lost." Momo narrows her eyes at a building, "Crona?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you land? I have a plan."

Shoto narrows his eyes as he walks up the stairway. Thanks to his training and the shoes he wearing walking on the ice with no problem for him. He left Shoji back at the doorway because he can hold this on his own. But when he got to the room and find out it was empty he knew something was wrong.

Crash!

Crona broke through the ice wall with the sword in hand. Shoto responds by placing his foot down and summoning another wall of ice glacier at them.

"Screech Alpha!" A disfigured head broke through the ice. Shoto dodge the attack but an ear-piercing scream shook Shoto to his core and he couldn't focus. He fired his ice wildly but Crona use sound to break the ice. Cloud of dust block Shoto's vision but he saw a blur vision of Crona darting forward and he quickly move out of the way-

Rip!

Shoto's eyes narrow as the sword cuts through his shirt and chest. It was shallow but it still drew blood. Crona didn't give him a chance to respond. Dart in slashing at Shoto and who use an ice wall in response. Caught up in mood Crona uses Screech Alpha point-blank at Shoto.

Crash!

Crona's eyes widen as a dust cloud forms after Shoto made an impact on a wall.

"Ha, we got you now bit-" Ragnarok was cut off by Crona who was panicking.

"Todoroki!" Crona rush to Shoto's side. Shoto didn't respond as he was bleeding from the head but not much. Crona's breath quicky at this but they quickly grab their radio, "A-All Might Todoroki is hurt can you bring nurse here?" They ask him.

Please…

Please…

Please pick up!

"I'm sending a couple of robots up there to help. Can you stay with him until then?" All Might asks them.

"Y-yeah!"

"Now don't move him too much do you notice any wounds on him?" All Might questions Crona. They look one slash at Shoto's chest but not deep enough to be life-threatening. Besides a few bruises and a small chest and head wound, he seems fine. Crona got up close and check the pulse on his neck.

He's alive.

"He seems to be ok. Just a couple of buries and cuts." They told All Might.

"Hmm, it seems you knock him out with that attack," All Might guess, and Crona gulp. They thought that Shoto could have dodged that last attack. They are so used to fighting fast foes that their reflex just kicks in. They shiver from the chill of cold air and fear. They rub their shoulders to warm themselves up.

"Come on Crona that Todoroki punk is fine," Ragnarok points out but he isn't pulling Crona's hair as hard. So that tells Crona that he's worried too.

"Stein?" Momo peeks out from the hallway. She must finish her fight with Shoji, "I heard everything over the radio. Are you ok?"

"I-," Crona suggests finding the words, "I-I'm," They took a deep breath, "f-fine-" Crona feel tears coming out of their eyes. Momo looks at them in concern and a flash and she grabs a blanket from her back.

"Here," She hands them the blanket.

"T-thanks," Crona wrap themselves in a blanket before something come to mind, "Wait did this come from your body?"

Momo blinks, "Yeah...my quirk work creating an object from the molecular structure of my fat cells." She explains.

Crona's breath quickie again.

All Might oversaw Todoroki Shoto's recovery when they got him to the nurse's office. He going to ok but need some rest. But All Might still be going to have talked to Recovery Girl. For both Todoroki and Midoriya. But there is one more person he needs to visit before that…

He knocks on the door.

"Young Stein, is all ready for me to come in?" All Might ask them.

"Yes… um, you can come in!" Young Stein acknowledges him. All Might walk-in at sees Crona sitting up in bed. They look disheveled but they try to smile when they saw him. Trying to put on a persona that everything is alright so other people won't be scared but deep down you are the scared one.

"Are you alright Young Stein? I heard that mini-panic attack from training," Crona's smile fail a bit.

"I'm fine," Their look down, "I just r-really thought I hurt Todoroki." They explain to him. All Might's smile went into a straight line. And walk over to Crona and sit beside them on the bed.

"You being scared that hurt your classmate isn't something to shame of." Crona looks upon him, "We as heroes have to do duty to not only defend villains but not try to not kill them. Sometimes it's hard to control your quirk especially when don't practice that much with it," Crona looks down and All Might feel guilty. It was true because of laws not many people learn how to control their quirks besides basics and not combat situations, "But that's why we are here." Crona looks up at him in surprise, "We as teachers are here to teach you how to use your quirks and how to use them." All Might think of poor Midoriya in the nurse bed. He did visit him before going to Crona's. He needs to teach that boy how to make his quirk his own.

"B-but what if I'm not good enough?" All Might was a surprise at Crona's question, "W-what if I'm still too far gone? W-what if I'm not good enou-"

"You call off the battle and make sure Todoroki was alright," All Might point out, "You are learning and you do look out other people. That's what it means to be a hero." Crona looks surprised and smiles a bit at that, "You're feeling better?"

"Yeah… thank you."

Shoto woke up to see an unfamiliar white ceiling.

"Awake?" Shoto looks to see Recovery Girl next to his side with checking the book in hand.

"I am," Shoto try to stand up but Recovery Girl quickly put him down.

"You still need to check on," She gently scolds him, "Lay back down. Your teachers are already informed about this and will give notes about what you miss." She told him. Shoto lay back down. No use to argue with the nurse. But still, he couldn't keep up with Crona's movements at all. He might just have to step it up next time.

He's going to be a hero. No matter what that man thinks...

Crona got out of the nurse's office ready to go home. When they go out of there they see not only Hagakure but Momo was there. Which was surprising to them.

"Stein!" Crona barely had to respond before Hagakure attacks hug them.

"Wwhhhy?!" Crona cries out in despair as they almost lose balance.

Ragnarok pop-ups, "Get off us you husky!" He pushes Hagakure. Who ignore him.

"Yaoyorozu told me why you left! The whole class was worried about you!" She exclaims.

"I'm fine. I was more worried for Todoroki," They explains to her.

Momo step in, "He's fine. He just got out a while ago." She told them.

Ragnarok turns to Crona, "See I told you he be fine."

Crona sigh, "That good," Then a thought stuck them, "Wait Yaoyorozu why wait for me?" They ask.

"I was worried about you and Todoroki. You guys are my classmates and I got the notes you miss today." She told them.

"Lucky she was taking notes. Yaoyorozu e was a lot better than me in Math Class. I couldn't understand it." Hagakure whisper in Crona's ear.

"Todoroki just took him and left. All that is left is yours," She handed them the notes.

"Thank you," Crona took them, "What times is it?"

"6:30," Mom answers, and Crona nearly falls over. They ran back into their room much to the girl's shock.

"Sorry I have to get my stuff and go home!" They shouted as they pack their things.

"Hurry up Crona! If we don't make it in time for dinner I'm going to stuff tissue up your nose!" Ragnarok chimes in.

"I and Momo can walk you home like last time Stein," Hagakure chime in.

Momo looks at her in surprise, "Wait for wh-"

"You just as worried for them as was I! Don't you want to make sure they were ok?" Hagakure turned her and Momo was stuttering at this.

"I-well yes. But," Hagakure cuts her off.

"Then let's go!" With that, she turns out of the door. Momo turns to Crona.

"Is she always like this?"

Crona shrug, "I only met her yesterday but she likes socially with people." They explain as they finish packing their stuff.

"Are you guys coming!" Hagakure calls out to them.

"We are!" With that Momo and Crona left the nurse's office.

That's a wrap! Thanks for waiting for this. This chapter was hard to do because I hate fighting scenes. But this scene is seeing how much Crona is at the head of students because of their experience and be in life and death. But also show Crona's fragile state of mind. They have been through a lot to say the less and they find their footing in U.A.
