Shortly before Vaná and Oromë's - potentially Tyelkormo's - child was born, Cilinaril found he had gained more or less full control of his powers, though he was still severely lacking in raw power with which to use them.

Of course, that just meant he needed to do his things in small spurts. Which is why the top of Caradhras was slowly but surely sprouting a gem-tower. At first, it was not so noticeable, even to the sharp eyes of the elves - and those that took their shape - as the walls were white opal, glimmering just like the snow.

It became highly noticeable when the first decorative bits were sprouting, deep purple amethyst and blue lapis accenting parts of the building.

Then it briefly became an eyesore, even for those with not as good eyesight when the roof was apparently Sung as diamonds, reflecting light for miles and causing even several of Manwë's large eagles to get disoriented and crash.

After that, the roof was changed into turquoise, which looked far better and caused less hazzle with the large avian population of Eriador.

At around the same time, Þossaica arrived in Ercasseyonde to pick up her commission from Mairon. It had to be one of his most awkward apologies yet, because there was just no way to go 'sorry about what I did with your Song' that would not be a nightmare to deal with.

Still, with the assistance of Vairë and Tyelperinquar, it worked out alright enough.

Unlike the eldest of her cousins, the younger of the Doomsman's twins was not yet able to travel under her own power. Vairë easily admitted her husband had been roped into assisting the elder of his twins around the entirety of Eä, from what she'd heard.

It was utterly entertaining to imagine the dark Judge of the Valar having to deal with the brightness of his eldest, even if she still terrified him.

After the short visit to the main city of Eregion, the Valie took her daughter to the top of Caradhras, and from there back to Valinor.

The opal was bright pink for a few days, to those who could make out such details. Mairon was rather tight-lipped about what she'd commissioned from him, but his forge-mates recalled several rings passing through his hands these last few weeks.

Honestly, if all Mellissë did now that she was here was setting up people, he'd be entirely and utterly content for the rest of the Second Singing.

Though he was honestly wondering exactly how hands-on she'd get.
