Off On Separate Missions for Same Goal
After hearing Ozpin's speech, team RWBY and KK went to the hologram mission boards to begin picking their first mission.
"This is perfect! All we have to do is shadow a Huntsman working in the southeast!" Ruby excited.
"Yeah! We'll follow them around by day and give them the slip by night!" Yang smirked.
"Well, one of us will while the other will have to settle with another mission, but either way it's all going to be good." Krillin believed.
"Let's check "search and destroy"!" Weiss suggested.
They look at the mission board going through the list of missions to see if they can find the right one for what they need to go, until Ruby found one that is definitely what they need.
"Here we go! Quadrant 5 needs Grimm cleared out!" Ruby pointed at the mission.
"Well, it's in the southeast!" Blake smiled.
"Guess that means we can go onto another mission, hopefully with some action." Kakarot said, feeling a bit jealous that his sister's team got the cooler and exciting mission.
"Good thing I already started looking for one when Ruby found that mission." Krillin smirked and gestured to the mission.
"It says here there has been some Grimm sighting close to the boarder of Vale and need help clearing them out before it becomes a major problem." Krillin explained about the mission to his partner.
"Awesome, now that's a mission that should keep be distracted for a while." Kakarot excited, pounding his fists together.
"One problem." Yang said.
Kakarot and Krillin look to see when Ruby entered her team and selected the mission, the mission board informed that first-years aren't allowed to take on this mission.
"Isn't this wonderful?" Weiss asked sarcastically.
"Does that mean no mission to find the White Fang then?" Kakarot worried for team RWBY.
"I'm afraid so, I'm not sure how we're going solve this." Blake said.
"We mail ourselves there!" Ruby suggested an idea.
"Are you for real? I doubt you can do the same thing your dad did with the dog and the cans." Krillin doubted Ruby to pull off something like that.
"Don't forget about the can opener." Kakarot reminded.
"Well, there's got to be a way to go about this." Yang shrugged.
"Perhaps in a less odd way." Ozpin said walking up to them.
"Hey there, Professor Ozpin." Kakarot greeted.
"Unfortunately, we determined that the concentration of Grimm was too extreme for first-year students. It seems that particular region is rather popular. In fact, I have the sneaking suspicion that you six will make your way there no matter which job you choose." Ozpin grinned at the teens.
Both teams became nervously when Ozpin called out them being ones to take a risk of breaking a rule or two to get, they, and fear that he may already see through them though try to play it cool.
"Whatever makes you say that?" Ruby asked, trying to be cool.
"Y-Yeah, we haven't done anything suspicious on school ground." Krillin chuckled, trying not to sweat.
"Except being out in the city doing something awesome." Kakarot blurted getting glares from everyone.
"As in fighting that giant mech you told me about during the dance?" Glynda raised an eyebrow as she entered the scene.
"You told her?" Yang gasped at her boyfriend.
"Mom always told me to be honest to the ones you can trust the most and we trust Glynda consider she's also my girlfriend." Kakarot shrugged.
"(Damn it, why did you raise him to be so good like that.)" Blake thought blamed her mom for teaching Kakarot to be honest like that.
"That certainly would explain how you all found yourself at the docks last semester. I'm interested to know how you really learned about a hideout in the southeast. And I certainly wonder why witnesses reported seeing a giant robot, rose petals, and cars floating some time ago." Ozpin grinned, now catching them red-handed.
"Sir, I know we should have reported to you and the police, but this is something I couldn't ignore because I know they're up to something and need to be stop now." Blake stated.
"Not to mention these guys were once our dad's group to make peace with the humans, but now they're no better than bad that needs to be dealt with." Kakarot added with a serious look.
"But you're still students and you need to rely on people like us whenever there's trouble." Glynda stated.
"Though I doubt you will stay put no matter what we say." Ozpin believed.
"You got that right!" Kakarot said with a thumb up.
"Very well, how about this: instead of waiting for you all to break the rules, why don't we just bend them?" Ozpin typed on his scroll and the hologram makes a beep sound.
"Ozpin, I'm not sure if this is the right call." Glynda concerned.
"Don't worry, these girls are the toughest bunch you'll ever know." Kakarot believed.
"We won't let you down. Thank you, professor." Ruby said with a confident smile.
"Do not thank me for this. Teamwork and persistence have carried you far. But you must understand, the things that await you beyond the protection of the Kingdom will not care. Stay close to your Huntsman at all times and do exactly as he say. He will be leading you on this mission, and he can have you sent back to Beacon, if he finds your skills to be unsatisfactory. Good luck." Ozpin advised before walking away.
"I guess there is nothing I can do from this point, just promise me you'll be careful." Glynda said to Kakarot and Yang.
"You got nothing to worry about, we'll crush these missions before you can have your next cup of coffee!" Yang proclaimed with a smirk.
"She actually drinks more tea than coffee." Kakarot mentioned.
"Just be sure to come back, all of you. I'm sure I don't need to remind you all of how dangerous being Huntsmen and Huntresses is in that line of work, and I hope you are prepared as well." Glynda firmed before walking away.
"Do you think she remembers the kiss she gave you?" Yang asked whispering to Kakarot.
"I'm pretty sure she does." Kakarot nodded.
The two teams leave the amphitheater to do some thinking about their mission, and mostly on what Ozpin told them.
"I'm now feeling scared from what Ozpin said." Krillin admitted.
"I thought he was trying too hard on being cool." Kakarot commented.
"Or being the opposite of cool." Yang shrugged.
"But it's the truth." Blake stated.
"It's gonna to be tough, but I know we can do it!" Ruby believed.
"You should probably save the confident for yourself since the mission you're going is probably going to be tougher." Krillin advised.
"Hey! Team CFVY is back!" A student shouted.
This brough the attention of team KK and RWBY as they turn their heads to see lots of students from Beacon and other schools gathering around four second-year students of Beacon, one both teams know very well and spotted one of them walking by.
"Isn't that Velvet?" Kakarot asked.
"It is, Velvet!" Blake called out.
"Oh, hello guys, good to see you again." Velvet greeted with a gentle smile.
Velvet has long, brown hair and brown eyes. She also has a pair of brown rabbit ears. She wears a cropped brown jacket with a thin gold zipper and her emblem on the right of the chest, over a thin black top and brown shorts that that decorated metal trim alongside black tights with golden metal flats. Accenting her outfit are a pair of gold spaulders, cuffs, a belt, that have decorative patterns. The box containing her weapon attaches to the belt.
"Wow, I can tell you have become a mightier and braver bunny when we last saw each other." Kakarot complimented.
"You know what, I think you're right." Yang smirked.
"Thanks, it also helps that I have my team watching my back like with Yatsuhashi." Velvet gestured to her very tall teammate who nods at them.
"Greetings, younglings." Yatsuhashi said to the two teams.
Yatsuhashi is a tall and athletic-looking young man with shaved-short black hair and tanned skin and wears green and brown attire. His combat cloth is a long, short-sleeved robe, which he wears on one shoulder over a black muscle shirt. The robe is fastened at the waist by a leather armored belt with two pouches on it. He also wears brown pants and black-and-green boots. His left arm bears a 5-layer sode which extends up past his shoulder. His weapon, a greatsword Fulcrum, is affixed to his back with a padded brown strap slung over his shoulder. He also wears a pair of bracers as well as a pair of black gloves with green plates on the backs.
"Are you guys okay?" Krillin asked.
"Your mission was supposed to end a week ago! What happened?" Weiss asked as well.
"Nothing happened. It was just ... there were just so many..." Velvet said, remembering how the Grimms kept going at them until team CFVY managed to wipe them all out.
"Wow, sounds like you guys were having a hard time. Wish I was there to help you." Kakarot concerned as the others are also showing worried expressions toward Velvet.
"Thank you, it would be nice to have another help from you like that time in the cafeteria with Cardin." Velvet giggled.
"And don't worry. You first-years are just shadowing Huntsmen, so you should be fine." Velvet believed.
"Right." Yang scratched the back of her head.
"I should go. Be safe, okay?" Velvet waved goodbye before catching up with her team.
"Bye!" Kakarot waved cheerfully back at her.
"We can do this. We've never backed down before, and we're not going to start now." Ruby stated.
"Right." Blake nodded.
"You got that right. If there's something dangerous and strong that needs to be dealt with, I will fight them until my last breath!" Kakarot held his fist in the air.
"I guess that goes for me too since I came here to be a Huntsman." Krillin said feeling courage raising from within himself.
"Besides, it won't only be us out there! We'll be fighting alongside a genuine Huntsman!" Ruby mentioned.
"Oh man, I wonder what Hunter are we going to be working with?" Kakarot asked.
"Well, according to the mission I selected for us. Our time to leave will be half an hour after these girls leave." Krillin informed.
"Great, then we can go see the Huntsman you girls are going with." Kakarot excited.
"Oh, I bet he's gonna be awesome!" Yang hoped.
(Later)
The scene immediately changed to all of RWBY and KK's expression to be look of shocked upon meeting up the Huntsman the girls are going to be shadowed with.
"Why, hello girls! Who's ready to fight for their lives?" Oobleck asked with a smile.
Yup, this man is Bartholomew Oobleck, the history teacher of Beacon Academy. He has messy green hair and brown eyes. He also has round glasses that appear to be opaque. He wears a long brown great coat, a khaki buttoned safari shirt and a pith helmet, and a large backpack.
"Professor Oobleck?" Weiss shocked.
"You're going on a mission too?" Krillin asked.
"Indeed, I am. As a Huntsman, it is my duty as many others to help the people and to show the next generations the ways of what being one can do." Oobleck answered Krillin.
"I'm afraid those bags won't be necessary, girls, seeing as you've opted to shadow a Huntsman on what is now essentially a reconnaissance mission. I can assure you; we will not be establishing a single base of operations; rather, we will be traversing several miles of hazardous wasteland and making camp in any defendable locations we may stumble upon. I packed all of our essentials myself, plotted our air course, and readied the airship. And..." Oobleck looked towards Weiss before zooming at her.
"It's Doctor Oobleck. I didn't earn the PhD for fun, thank you very much!" Oobleck stated before quickly backing away.
"Uh, you think you know someone." Kakarot surprised.
"Yeah, the guy with coffee addiction and history suddenly shows he's a badass fighter." Yang commented.
"Come now, children; according to my schedule, we are already three minutes behind!" Oobleck gasped at the time of his watch.
"And you two. Shouldn't you be going to your assigned Huntress as well?" Oobleck asked of team KK.
"We are, we just wanted to say goodbye to our friends before we go our separate ways." Krillin explained.
"Very well, be quick about it." Oobleck nodded before blitzing towards the Bullhead.
"I suddenly feel like we owe that guy an apology essay for underestimating him." Kakarot felt a strange feeling and something odd taste in his mouth.
"Never thought I would hear those words coming from your mouth." Blake said.
"Well, alright, then! Looks like we're going to save the world with Doctor Oooobleck- okay yeah when you say it out loud it sounds worse." Ruby exclaimed.
"Yeah, and the trip will be more schoolwork than huntress work." Krillin worried.
"Did you say Save the world?" Nora called out.
Both teams turn to see team JNPR walking up to them.
"You're going on world-saving missions without us? I'm hurt... sad! Maybe a little hungry? That last one's not your fault, though, Ren..." Nora glared at Ren who looks away with his arms cross and eyes close.
"Sounds exciting. Where ya going?" Jaune asked.
"Oh, just outside the kingdom..." Ruby answered.
"Hey, so are we!" Nora revealed exciting.
"Ren and Nora wanted to shadow the sheriff of a nearby village." Pyrrha explained.
"Bet being all the way out would be a practice honeymoon for you too." Yang smirked causing Jaune and Pyrrha to blush with little giggling from the latter.
"We set out tomorrow." Ren mentioned.
"Then you can party with us tonight!" Neptune invited as he and Sun walks up to them.
"We're shadowing a crime specialist. All inner-city detective stuff. We get junior badges." Neptune explained which got awestruck from Jaune and Krillin.
"So lucky, I wonder if we're gonna get a badge too?" Krillin excited.
"We normally go to the city with you guys, which means stuff's always exploding and junk, so we thought this might be a better way to check out the kingdom when it's, you know... normal." Sun shrugged.
"I don't know, I think "normal" is just how things go like crazy." Kakarot commented.
"Four minutes!" Oobleck shouted, reminding them of the time.
"Well, uh… Wish us luck!" Ruby smiled and everyone put their hands in the middle.
"Let's go be awesome!" Kakarot shouted of excitement.
(Close to 30 Minutes Later)
"So, what do you think the Huntress we're shadowing will be like?" Kakarot asked.
"I don't know, but I just hope that she isn't weird like Doctor Oobleck or hopefully NOT Port." Krillin hoped to the Heavens.
"It would be nice to see if we can be friends with the Huntress." Kakarot said.
"You're gonna have to earn my respect if you want to be friends with the likes of me." A woman's voice said strong getting their attention.
"My name is Violet Danger, and it would be wise for you boys to follow my orders and not get on my bad side." Violet introduced herself.
Violet is a young woman with white skin, blue eyes, and violet hair. She wears protective blue glasses-googles, red gloves and matching boots, has a green flannel with the Vale kingdom logo and orange military pants with a red belt. She also has violet color shoulder pads and elbow pads.
"Hi there, my name is Kakarot Belladonna, and this is my best friend and partner, Krillin." Kakarot greeted.
"Nice to meet you, ma'am." Krillin greeted a little nervous.
"So, it's just the two of you then. Guess those little rumors I heard were true." Violet surprised.
"We're pretty strong." Kakarot smirked.
"I'll be the judge of that. Anyway, we will also be joined by a second year of Beacon who didn't want to wait for her team to finish resting up and because she wouldn't stop bothering me about it." Violet mentioned.
"Not my fault I want to do something to ease my boredom." A young girl walked up to them.
Krillin becomes gasp upon seeing this girl who is also his senior.
"Hey there, my name is Lazuli, and you better not get in my way." Lazuli greeted a little harshly.
Lazuli is a slender, curvy and beautiful woman of above-average height and fair complexion. She has shoulder-length blonde hair which she keeps the left side tucked behind her ear, and pale blue eyes. She wears a blue denim vest and skirt with dark blue tights, a brown belt, brown boots, and a black shirt that has white and black striped long sleeves.
Kakarot notice that Krillin is being weird, just staring at the new face and not responding to his hand waving at his best friend's face.
"You okay, buddy?" Kakarot confused.

Bet you weren't expecting two characters from Dragon Ball to show up like Bulma and Yamcha as now we see Violet as a Huntress and Lazuli (Android 18) are companying Kakarot and Krillin on their first mission. Looks like Krillin is already taking a liking to Lazuli as well.
