All of the team went silent, and the Collector took a few steps into the circle, letting out a shaky breath.

"I think this has to deal with some sort of— inheritance." He said and continued to explain his thoughts. "Because like Lilith said, she wouldn't be human if she was turned full Titan. She'd look more like King." He exemplified the adorable little furball, who was running around chasing Basha with a banana peel. "So she still has some human in her."

Lilith's eyes suddenly brightened. "Like a mutation?"

The Collector blinked. "Sort of?" He shook his head. "It's never happened before, not that I know of. So this is all new to us I guess."

Amity came forward. "Then we will just have to figure it out, won't we? You said it had to deal with some sort of mutation?" She looked over to Lilith, and the witch nodded violently.

"Precisely!" Lilith ran over to the nearest chalkboard and started to scribble on it. "Which if my hypothesis is correct, this is some sort of genetic addition."

Everyone hovered over the board, and Lis leaned back in the chair she was sitting in, scratching her thick, purple locks of hair out of the way of her eyesight. Her hair was starting to get really annoying, as she was half-listening to Lilith's lecture on heredity and genetics. Luz checked her sides to make sure nobody was looking and grabbed the small black hair tie inside the small bag she had on hand - and began to try and put it up.

The hair was surprisingly long, maybe down to her butt. Actually, scratch that and chop off a few inches. It was long alright? She twisted her hands around her back, grabbing all the straggly parts and pulling them up over her head.

Well, it was up now. But there was a slight flaw with the plan.

The hair tie was definitely too small.

Luz grumbled to herself, and her hair dropped and drooped down to her sides.

Eda chuckled, scooting a little closer to Luz, eyes on the board. "Hair problems?" she then went through her small brown bag resting on her shoulder, pulling out a band that was the size of her head.

"Yeah," Luz said, a little defeated - but put in the effort to pull down her hat, setting it down as Eda went behind her, pulling the big black scrunchy in her hand. She felt her hair pull back and up, allowing her neck to finally breath after being suffocated for two days straight. And as fast as it started, Eda was done; she swung her arms to her hips, taking a few steps back to marvel at her small feat.

"There ya go, kid." She smirked, pulling back and giving Luz a small pat on the head.

"—It could be some sort of transferrable heredity." Lilith pondered, scribbling more equations on the board; back turned to her audience.

"What?" Amity raised an eyebrow, confused. "Is there any way to uh... simplify?"

"She means genetics," Raine specified, and they pulled themself off the table they were sitting on, went to the board, and grabbed a piece of chalk. "So for example, if you had a parent with brown hair and one with black, you'd have one of the other. Practically it determines what you look and sound like." They swung the chalk in their hand for a moment.

Amity blinked, her mouth turned to a wide O. "Oh..." She said and looked at the many charts and diagrams. Which in fact were Punnet Squares. "Well, then what's that?" She pointed to the extra letter next to the heredity and genetic charts, which was labeled T.

"That is what we're trying to find out," Raine replied, stumped as they took a few steps back to look at the board. "Lilith?" Raine looked over to her, who was still pondering, and deep in thought.

She perked up, slipping her hand into a fist and pressing it to the palm of her offhand; seemingly having some sort of an epiphany. "That's it!" She said with interest, scribbling another square. This time divided three by three instead of two by two. Bringing the T into the mix, not treated as an outlier to the mix, but part of the equation.

After a few seconds, she came back with a full chart, circling one of the boxes with the letters Tt.

"That's it..." She whispered.

The Collector, who was in the back of the room came forward, leaning on one of the desks; looking curiously at the littered simplicity of the lecture. "You found it?" He perked up, astonished.

Lilith nodded, pressing the chalk to the board underneath the label. "If I'm correct, Luz could be part Titan now. As it was a very small chance to begin, but here we are." She shrugged, looking at the chart. "See, if we put this with the logic of genetic transcription... if the Titan gave part of his genetics to Luz, then her body had already filed and adapted to the power as soon as it made contact with her nucleus."

A chill ran down Luz's spine. "So my DNA... did a fix?" she tilted her head.

"Yes! In order to fit the supply and demand of the Titan's borrowed power, your body had simply gone— hyperactive." Lilith simplified.

"How do you—" Amity looked at Luz even more confused now, but also curious to how she knew that.

Luz turned to Amity and shrugged. "I took Bio so..."

There was a pause once Lilith got a breath.

"The real question though, is can she turn back?" Camila questioned.

Lilith shook her head, setting down the chalk, and dust flew from her hands. "I don't know," she looked to Luz. "But what we are dealing with is practically incomprehensible."
