In the air, Amity could see one corner of the school, then another, a few window screens and wooden roofing. All being lifted up by none other than Luz herself. She was pushing her new body to the limit by doing it.
Amity watched in awe as the walls of the school lifted up and started to align with the rest of the building, some spinning in erratic directions, and others being tilted on a perfect axis. All being covered by the bright golden and purple glow.
Luz groaned a little, as her circle was just huge. Maybe a little bit bigger than herself in size, it was crackling and glowing brightly. Almost as if the cast was sharp to the touch. She continued to hold her arms out, and Ghost went back into palisman form to stay safe from any falling debris.
She continued to hold out her arms, which were shaking slightly from the weight of the boulders (or at least a little portion of it to cast the force of the spell) and she slowly opened her eyes; her lips curled into a focused scowl. She felt a quick exhale come out, the whites of her eyes slowly turning back to the void black the longer she held the spell - and of course, Amity noticed the change in domineer right away, as she quickly ran up to Eda, who was watching the pieces float back into place - molding back with the school.
"Eda! Luz is—"
"Yeah, we know..." The ground continued to rumble, as a huge band of roofing and wall supports hovered over the group's heads, blocking out the sunlight.
"Oh my..." Camila's breath hitched in a panic, watching all of the students quickly run out of the building for safety reasons and to marvel at the sight. "Luz is really doing this?" She looked to Gus, to whom he acted quickly, throwing a small pebble from the ground to the floating chunks. The pebble bounced off, ricocheting off the piece of green and tan wall, nearly missing his forehead.
"Well, it's certainly not an illusion," Gus observed, holding his hands on top of his head.
Camila looked up. "So she's really doing this." Reality pressed down on her mind, her daughter was really doing that. She was really using magic.
But awe is never struck without fear of the unknown.
"She's really doing this..." Camila repeated, as the pieces pressed down and into place, as if it was brand new. Like it was a blast from the past - to when Luz had first entered the grounds of Hexide.
"Luz..?" Amity whispered, holding Ghost closely in her grip, and she watched as chunks from almost miles away came back to the school.
Luz didn't reply, as the wind kicked up and swirled around her arms and body, her eyes black voids, with the golden irises the only color inside. Her expression was stoic with the silent response, and the cast had grown in size. Her arms outstretched inside the pulsing circle, it was almost blinding. The glyph symbol on her chest pulsing with purple light, fueling her power even more.
Once Hexide's rebuilding was complete, a small explosion of colorful glitter illuminated the air, trickling down to the ground as Luz gasped for air - and she quickly let her back give out, leaning forward; just nearly grabbing her knees as she buckled underneath her own weight.
Luz needed more than just a minute to gather herself, as she had completely blanked out. Almost spacing out in a sense that she herself didn't even understand. She slowly picked up her exhausted head. "Hey," She groaned, surrendering to the tiredness, and fell back on her butt.
Amity came running over to Luz's aid almost instantly as her spell finished. She didn't know whether to be excited or horrified. As it's Luz. With that kind of power, who knows what creation or...destruction she could cause for not only the Boiling Isles but for the human world as well. "Luz?" She held Luz's shoulder tightly, as she noticed her shake her head for a moment.
Like she was... confused?
"Yeah, I'm— I'm fine." Luz met Amity's gaze once more, her eyes back to the pearly white and gold she knew.
She let out a deep sigh. "Good," She held Luz by the shoulder to support her crippling weight as Amity struggled to hold her.
Luz's eyes finally dragged back up from the ground, and her eyes glowed with amazement; seeing Hexide back or better yet— better than new. She looked at every window, perfectly put back into place, the cracks in the concrete and wood roofing and walls sealed, and the destruction and holes caused by the Collector were filled. She fixed Hexide, back to new.
"What was that?" Principal Bump gasped, waddling his way over to the duo as she made her way over; her energy was slowly returning back to her system, she could feel it.
"Luz!" Gus yelled for her, his voice echoing through her ears, making her wince for a moment. Why was everything suddenly so sensitive? She thought to herself. Shifting her weight to her left, as her staff was in her hand - loosely gripping, and gently pulsing with blue and purples that dissipated with due time.
"Hey," She smiled tiredly, pulling herself away from Amity to catch a quick breath.
Gus jumped up in excitement, while Eda was reassuring Camila in the background, and Willow came up; hands on her hips. "That was definitely a sight to see!" She chuckled, "I thought you were just learning the basics, not Coven-level spells!"
"That was a basic spell." Amity protested.
