Hunter had scaled the tall piles of destroyed rubble and debris blocking his way into the building. It was almost the same as he remembered— only this time, it wasn't his home he was going back to. He wasn't part of the Emperor's Coven anymore, or the Golden Guard.

He was himself, and he was proud to just be… Hunter. He befriended probably the best people in the world. And he was proud of it.

But, that was never going to stop the memories from flooding back into his mind as he stepped foot back into the long hallways; they felt to have spanned miles endlessly. Like he was wandering aimlessly until he came across his needed destination.

Finding Luz isn't going to be easy. He thought, his eyes scanning the intersection, A fork in the dark hallways.

Hunter cupped his hands and yelled. "Luz?" His voice reverberated through the empty halls, only for his voice to slap back at him. He waited and waited for a reply, but heard nothing. She must be really deep in the castle then. He pondered and continued his cautious stroll.

He was passing the things he'd always gone by, thinking about their relevance just a little harder now that he'd known what he was ever since he and Luz got stuck in Belos' twisted mind.

Some pictures showed how 'virtuous' Belos was, and how he obtained order and 'peace' throughout the Isles. It was all just a part of his grand scheme that came to an end. His noble facade was shattered— along with his people.

"Luz?" He yelled out again, his voice a mere whisper that echoed off the walls.

He was met with no longer silence, perking up. His ears were open to the faint grunt of a friend he knew well. "Luz.." he said hurriedly and began to sprint in her direction, following the sound like a fly to light.

And as he turned the corner, his head whipped around to meet Luz's tall and stern gaze. She just stood there, and blinked a few times - her mind didn't even register that Hunter had just bumped into herself. Somehow figuring out where she ran off to…

"Hunter?" She questioned, her voice soft. Something seemed to be lacking in her tone.

Hunter sighed, shaking his head for a moment. Meeting her intimidating line of sight. "Luz, we've been worried sick about you," he informed her, and she instantly turned away, her shoulders curling in.

She wanted to say something, but she couldn't find the words to what she expressed and felt. All she could do was let out a conjoined sigh. Following with Hunter. It was hard, being in her spot.

So her mouth opened.

And then briefly closed.

Hunter, wanting to start over, cleared his pipes. "Are you— alright?" His head cocked a little to the left, unsure.

Luz exhaled. "I'm fine." She dismissed, turning around and walking down the hallway - weary of the debris that littered the corridors.

Hunter quickly sauntered over to her side, having to move a little quicker to match her fast speed. "Sorry to disapprove, but you're not."

She growled. "I'm fine, Hunter."

"Only a not fine person would say that Luz." He protested, and her right eye twitched. She felt the suppressive anger flush through her senses, again - and her scowl returned; Hunter's eyebrows furrowed. He wanted to stop her but knew that even for himself she might as well be a danger to herself more than anyone else with the power that she had running through her system. "Can you at least tell me what is going on?" He questioned as softly as he could manage, pulling away for a moment.

There was a pause, and Luz pivoted her body to his direction. She then went to the big room ahead of them, which looked like a big…. observatory?

Luz took cautious steps into the room, as it was one of the few that were barely touched by the Collector's overhead palace, and the Day of Unity. "What is this place?" her mood changed to one of curiosity, but also a sort of foreboding danger hid behind what felt to be every crevice.

The room was wide, and circular all the way around (Some might even misinterpret it to be a private library), books littered in messy stacks on shelves. And the light from the tall windows that reached from the high ceilings down to the wooden hardwood floors.

Dust practically was a homeowner in the place, so it wasn't touched for years…. Possibly centuries.

But for what reason?

Luz turned to Hunter, who was equally wary. "You know what this place is?"

Hunter's fingers glided over the dust-collected shelves, and he spun a small globe in hand. "I don't know. But I have never been here." He pulled his head up to meet the bright red roof above them. The walls had curved in, making the dome shape of the room feel like the top extended to the Knee of the Titan.

"You haven't?"

"No, this place was in the restricted section," he explained. "No Coven member, even me wasn't allowed to go into this wing. Only with— exceptions, to be even able to pass by."

Luz blinked a few times, inhaling the musk of the room. The tall, rose gold-trimmed red curtains were gently slicked back by her hand, allowing the light to shine through the room. The gloom in an instant parted ways. "So what did he do here?" She pondered.

Hunter, who wandered to the left side of the observatory, found a small discovery.

To the side, there was a practically pristine-condition telescope, silver in color standing tall and proud under a thin sheet of tan-colored cloth. His body curved to take on the full size and beauty of the object. "Hey, Luz?" he called, whereas she was rummaging through the thicket of books.

"What?" She said, a little bluntly - but the attentiveness in her tone reverberated through the room.

"Look." He took a few steps back, and Luz made eye contact with the telescope; her eyes lined with the direction of where it was pointing. And in one fluid motion, he lifted the veil off the item - dust flew through the air, and her golden eyes sparkled.

Hunter watched as his friend tried to form words, the way her mouth cupped into an O shape, even when no vocals came out. She blinked slowly a few times, quickly glimpsing at him before looking back down. Her sharp claws gently brushed the scope, managing to make the settling dust depart. Her eyes glowed, and for a moment her head followed the window's line of sight. As if the small telescope was leading them to something other than known.

A thought clicked in Luz's mind, and she quickly pulled away from the scope and went to the window - slinking away the covering drapes. "Hunter." She started, her eyes finally resting on where the glass was leading. Her finger pointed not too far away.

Hunter's breath hitched, and it was as if a few dots lined up in his clutter of thoughts. "The Knee." He whispered, and they both exchanged glances. "What would Belos have wanted with the Knee?"
