Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, the confrontation in Aquaman's throne room didn't go well. Wonder Woman challenged Cynder to a rematch after their last duel on Themyscira years ago. And needless to say, it didn't go well for Wonder Woman, who got her tail kicked and even lost her shield to Blaze. Meanwhile, Superman challenged Darkblood and Doctor Fate, and it wasn't going well for him. But then Aquaman chose to intervene and stop Darkblood from killing Superman. Too bad for the King of Atlantis, it ended up costing him not only his trident, which Darkblood stole, but it ends up literally killing him, with Darkblood stealing his corpse as he left Superman and Wonder Woman to look on at what just happened. So, what is going to happen next? Read on to discover...

(Our scene resumes in Legion HQ, where Blaze is cleaning her new shield that she took as spoils of the battle with Wonder Woman, and by the end, she can see her reflection in it, allowing her to spot Green Arrow and Flash walking up on her.)

Green Arrow: Got to admit, that looks better around your arm than it ever did on Diana's.

Blaze: It's a little weird that we share a weight preference, but I'll take it.

Flash: Any plans to complete the collection?

Blaze: (Thinks about it) Maybe. I might need to have the bracelets resized, but I'm definitely aiming for the sword.

Cynder: (Joining the conversation from the shadows) You'd certainly put them to better use than she would.

(But before Blaze can react to that, Harley Quinn, Blue Beetle, and Firestorm enter the room, clearly panicked)

Firestorm: Have you seen the news?!

Blaze: Guessing our escapades in Atlantis haven't gone unnoticed.

Blue Beetle: More than that! You need to see this!

(With that, Blue Beetle pulls up a video on his phone, and hurriedly turns it towards Blaze and company just as it starts)

News Anchor: Now a breaking news update in our coverage on the new superhuman war. Aquaman, alias Arthur Curry, the King of Atlantis and former officer of the One Earth Regime, is dead. Sources around Atlantis are conflicting on who exactly was the killer, with many pointing the finger at the leader of the dragons who stopped the Regime the first time, though others are claiming the dragon who did it was Purple. And to make things more unusual, the king's body and trident are both missing.

Harley Quinn: I'll say it, I didn't think you had it in you, kid!

Blaze: That's the thing, Aquaman was still alive when we left!

Green Arrow: So that means...

Blaze: Darkblood got his revenge.

Harley Quinn: Either way, one less Regime creep we have to round up when all is said and done.

Flash: I'm a little more concerned as to what the trident being missing is supposed to mean.

Cynder: I'm willing to bet Blaze isn't the only one who walked out of there with a trophy. Darkblood's got the trident, I'm sure of it.

Blaze: Then chances are, he's got the body too. But that begs one question. What does he need with Aquaman's corpse? Wasn't getting his revenge enough?

(As Blaze ponders this point, we transition back to the Nameless City, where Darkblood, now armed with his new trident looks down on the corpse of Dragnarok's killer, and for a brief moment, Dragnarok appears in one of his eyes)

Dragnarok: Was it worth it?

Darkblood: Silence, you weakling. You should be thanking me, I avenged you!

(As Darkblood yells at the Dragnarok that is still within him, Enchantress enters the room, confused and carrying a sack)

Enchantress: Who are you talking to?

Darkblood: It seems my control over this mind isn't as full as I suspected.

Enchantress: Meaning?

Darkblood: I don't know how they did it, but they managed to pull that weakling Dragnarok out of my mind.

Enchantress: That shouldn't be possible.

Darkblood: I don't know how they did it, but they did. I cannot let this happen again. (Gestures to Aquaman's body) That's why he's here.

Enchantress: Dabbling in Necromancy, are we?

Darkblood: Of a sort. I don't intend to revive Aquaman. I intend to make something new out of him. Did you get those crystals I needed?

Enchantress: (Holds up the sack) Right here.

Darkblood: Good. Pour them on top of the corpse.

(Doing as she's instructed, Enchantress empties the contents of the sack on top of Aquaman's corpse, revealing way more crystals than we thought could fit in there. And every last one of them a Dark Gem)

Enchantress: Good thing these started growing around here once we moved in.

Darkblood: Excellent. Though, I'm not sure it'll be enough. No matter. I can fix that.

(Channeling his dark power, Darkblood infuses every cell of Aquaman's still fresh corpse with Dark Aether, converting every last one of them into a Dark Gem

Darkblood: There much better. (Holds up his new trident) Now, those combined with my newly christened Black Trident... This might work.

Enchantress: Do you mind telling me what you're doing?

Darkblood: What kind of Dark Master would I be, if I didn't have a Golem at my beck and call? And besides, what better fate for the one who killed me in life than to become my servant in death?

Enchantress: Delightfully dark irony, my love.

Darkblood: I might need your aid. But for now, stand back.

(As Enchantress takes a step back, Darkblood channels Dark Aether into the Black Trident, combining the magic of Atlantean sorcerer kings with his own dark power, before shooting a beam of it directly into the pile of Dark Gems that used to be Aquaman's corpse. Before long, the crystals start to melt, morphing into something more... unclear. By the end of it, there's no trace of Aquaman left, having merged fully with the gems into an amorphous blob, drawing the ground around it into itself. And before long, the hideous beast starts to take shape, resembling a purple version of the Golem from Dawn of the Dragon, only slightly smaller, but still gigantic. And as the monster finishes taking shape, it lets out a roar unlike anything on this earth)

Darkblood: IT'S ALIVE! (While maniacally laughing) IT'S ALIVE!

(The monster gets to its feet and starts scanning the room and within seconds recognizes Darkblood, it's creator and master, bowing down before him)

Darkblood: Excellent. (Taps the Black Trident upon the beast's shoulders) I hereby christen thee, Armageddon, my personal, indestructible bodyguard. Now, rise my servant, and heed my commands!

(And with one final roar from Armageddon, our scene ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to end for today. So this was Darkblood's plan for Aquaman's corpse, turn it into his new general, and indestructible bodyguard, Armageddon. A little point of contention here, I know Null said Armageddon was made entirely of Dark Gems, and to be fair, there are a lot of them here. So I chose to compromise by turning Aquaman's corpse into Dark Gems before doing it. Fun fact, I originally intended for Doctor Fate to be used as the model, since he's pure magic now. But having just killed Aquaman, I figured this is what Darkblood would do. So, what will the others think of Armageddon once he rocks onto the stage? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
