Hey guys, Kurama here with the remade version of Pokemon: New Life Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

"Talk, now!" someone says

"Go Golduck, Attack!" Someone says.

"Thoughts," Someone says.

Let's begin!

"Moly Shit..." I mutter dumbly, taking in the sight before me.

I mean, would you not, if given the oppurtunity?

In front of me was none other than Viridian City itself.

Since there were a few downed Spearows around me, I knew that this was the anime timeline, which meant that I could get all three Kanto Starters before my eighth gym badge.

Charizards was more commonly found in the Charific Valley in Johto or I could take Damian's while giving him a shitty Pokemon like Magikarp, Psyduck or Feebas just to screw him over.

I mean, the fucker deserves it.

He abuses his Pokemon, if Charmander is anything to go by and if Cross exists in this universe, then he's gonna be a victim of you get no Charmanders.

Fucking losers.

When I find you little bitches, I will take your Charmanders and I will turn them into mighty Charizards that will make Arceus and its plates look like a pile of shit.

Back to the matter on hand though...

I could also do the same thing for Bulbasaur by going into that girl's garden in Cerulean City or the Bulbasaur Garden was near Fuchsia City.

As for Squirtle, I could get one from either the Squirtle Squad or the Squirtle Island.

The possibilities were endless but nonetheless, I'm gonna have to start training Pikachu on how to use Iron Tail and maybe Brick Break if that's possible because I refuse to rely on luck like Ash did in the anime to win.

Sure, there's the argument that he won the first four gym badges all on his own and had some help from his environement but the fact is, if it wasn't for that then he would've never gotten half way through the league.

Taking my phone out of my pocket, I then select the Pokedex app and begin the Spearows to see which one of them is the strongest.

I stumble on a few that are level 10 or 15 but the most powerful one there is level 30, which could indicate that he's their leader since he's the highest levelled one here.

Taking a Pokeball out of my bag, I tap it on the Spearow's head, watching him get sucked inside of the Pokeball, hoping that he wouldn't get out until the capture was confirmed.

I could only stare mutely for a moment as it clicked shut and shook lightly in my palm for a few seconds, glowing a faint red.

It takes a good three seconds or so before it stops moving and lets out a soft ping sound signifying a successful capture, just like in the anime.

"Fuckin' hell!" I laugh, shaking my head.

This was so surreal.

"Pikachu!" My partner in crime says, holding two fingers up in a peace sign as I throw him a thumbs-up.

Grabbing my phone with my now Spearow-less free hand, I quickly pull up the Pokedex app again and aim the camera at the pokeball before hitting scan.

"Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokemon. Spearow is very protective ofitsterritory, it flaps its short wings busily to dart around at high speed.Gender: Male, Height: 1'02 – Attacks Known: Peck, Growl, Leer, Aerial Ace, Assurance, Fury Attack, Wing Attack, Take Down, Focus Energy and Agility. Egg Moves: Astonish (Locked), Feather Dance (Locked), Quick Attack (Locked), Scary Face (Locked) Sky Attack (Locked), Tri Attack (Locked), Uproar (Locked) Whirlwind (Locked). This Spearow has the ability Keen Eye and is level 30.

Huh. Well that's pretty cool.

He has a pretty good moveset, which is evident by the fact that he knows Wing Attack, something that Pidgeot, Charizard and Dragonite learn as soon as they evolve.

"Alright, now that's over with, whaddya say we get to Viridian City before nightfall?" I ask Pikachu, who jumps up onto my shoulder and motions me to continue my trek to the aforementioned city.

With a chuckle escaping my lips, I soon oblige him and go to Viridian City.

-Timeskip-

I kept walking for a good few minutes before I decided to stop, and truthfully, I was kind of finding it really hard not to gape.

Now that none of the Spearow were in view, it was like pokemon were out in the droves.

I mean, I saw it all the time in the anime but they're everywhere!

The path I'm on right now has a field full of trees on one side, and on the next a small little slope that levels out into a small marsh alongside the path and right beside it a lake or river or something, a creak?

It's a river I think.

It leads all the way up to Viridian according to the map on my phone.

I saw dozens of Pidgey flying overhead. A bunch of Rattata and Sandshrew running through the grassy fields. Even some Mankey swinging through the trees.

It was amazing, awes inspiring, it was fucking ludicrious and I just can't contain the sheer excitement, joy and more beating in my chest that has me almost drooling with glee.

This is every Pokemon lovers dream come true! And I'm living it!

Well I hope I am atleast.

I don't care if this is some elaborate prank by my friends if it's a simulation by big company, I don't want to leave this place!

This world... is where I belong.This...This is my new home from now on.

"Get back here, you little shit!" A man roars out in the distance.

"Vui!" I spot a weakened Eevee with the man trying to catch up to it.

I grab Spearow's Pokeball from my pockets then press the little white button on front of the pokeball and hold it out in front of me as it burst open in a ray of blinding light and Spearow materialize itself, standing on the ground in front of me.

"Pikachu, Quick Attack to intercept that guy and Spearow, you use Take Down on him." I tell them as they get into action.

Pikachu and Spearow both ram themselves into the man as he falls on his butt and the Eevee can run safely to me.

It cowers behind as the man stands up with both my Pokemon circling around him.

"Kid, call back your Pokemon unless you want problems. I can already call the police for assault with your Pokemon. That's at least enough to get your Trainer license revoked for at least a few months." He says, panting slightly as his hand seems to be reaching for something inside of his pocket.

"Come on out, Magmar!" He shouts as his Magmar comes out of its Pokeball, unleashing a small torrent of flames into the sky as it appears in front of me.

"Alright then, looks like it's my first battle as a trainer. Pikachu, finish him." I say, letting my partner deal with this charlatan before I mentally faceplaming myself.

Finish him, really brain?

I need to work on my catchphrase some time in the nearby future.

For now though...

"Magmar, use Ember and when it gets close to you, use Smokescreen to fade away!" The guy yells out

I then throw him an arrogant smirk to throw him off balance, which works so that means I can now go on the offensive.

"Pikachu use Nasty Plot and then wide spread Thunder Wave." I scream out to my partner.

A dark aura seeps out of Pikachu's body, to which the yellow mouse lets out a sinister smile to the Magmar's trainer before unleashing a powerful electric attack that goes through the entire field.

"Magmar, use Flame Wheel to propel yourself into the air and then use Fire Blast!" The man yells out in anger.

"Pikachu, launch yourself in the air with Slam and rough him a bit with Sweet Kiss." I scream, watching Pikachu kiss the Magmar once he's within its range.

Now that Magmar's confused, I'll bring his attack down with a combination of Growl and Charm.

"Snap out of it Magmar!" My opponent pleads but that's not gonna be enough to make me show mercy to him.

If there's one thing I enjoy more than sleeping and gaming, it's relishing in the suffering of my enemies.

"Pikachu, use both Charm and Growl two times each." I start off with my plan.

Pikachu squeaks cutely and then follows it up with a cute growl as Magmar seems to have become extremely weak as it falls down to one knee while panting slightly.

Guess I should feel for the poor guy but his trainer brought this upon himself.

He kept forcing himself onto Eevee so I did what any good person would and stop him from hurting the poor thing any further.

But back to the matters at hand.

"Two more Nasty Plots and finish it off with a Thunder Shock." I order him once more.

Pikachu would once again let its thoughts turn negative, amplyfying its power tenfold as it then unleashes a powerful electric attack at the downed and weakened Magmar, watching it get destroyed by the powerful Thunder Shock.

"Tch, return Magmar." The man says, recalling his Magmar as it then gets sucked back into its Pokeball.

"Welp, that was fun. Come on Eevee, I'm gonna get you checked up at the Pokemon Centre." I tell it, picking up the beat up Pokemon as Pikachu stands on my shoulder and we leave the guy to sulk in his defeat.

Oh yeah, if this is how smart I am in battle then the Indigo league will be an easy sweep.

Arriving in front of the Pokemon Centre, I gently tap a random Pokeball against Eevee's head, watching as it gets sucked inside the Pokeball and then it begins to

Once the capture is confirmed, I step inside the Pokemon Centre.

"Hello there, would you mind giving me your Pokemon? It's to heal them." Nurse joy says with a smile on her face.

See, if this were the game then I'd have no problem trusting with them but for some reason, every fiber in my being is telling me that I should be wary of this lady.

It could be Jessie or James posing as her to steal my Pokemon.

"If you're thinking about Team Rocket, they were dealt with a while ago. Some kid with a Pikachu sent them flying far away." She says as I hand her Pikachu, Eevee and Spearow's Pokeballs, watching Pikachu struggle against the powerful grip of Chansey.

Note to self, capture one of those in the nearby future.

Well, either that or an Audino but I'm more inclined to getting the Chansey because it has the highest amount of HP in the entire game timeline, barring Snorlax and it'd be good for me to abuse that little tidbit of knowledge.

Plus, Chanseys are known to be sweethearts.

She's so gonna get the royalty treatment 'cause that's what she is.

A motherfucking queen!

"What to do now?" I ask, pacing around a bit.

It would do me some good to catch a few more Pokemon before reaching Pewter City to give me at least an advantage in numbers.

Plus, I need to complete the Kanto Pokedex before I can go to another region like Kalos or Alola to power up what's going to be my main team.

I head out to Route 22, hoping that Pikachu, Spearow and Eevee would be alright without me at their side.

Spotting a Mankey, I throw Pokeball at it, which is immidiately caught after one blink.

So more confident than earlier, I go on a catching, capturing whatever Pokemon I could find.

These include a Male Nidoran, a Female Nidoran, a Pidgey, a Machop, a Rattata and a Magikarp, which I managed to when it decided to jump out of the water.

I couldn't resist at that time since it was level 19, which meant in few days or weeks, I could probably get a Gyarados before Pewter City.

"Note to self, buy a fishing rod in the nesrby future." I mumble to myself, satisfied to have caught this many Pokemon when it hasn't even been a full 24 hour yet.

Realistically, I could keep on catching Pokemon but I need to stock up on some supplies as well as check up on the others, who I'm sure must be waiting for me.

Especially Eevee, who must not be comfortable with other humans other than myself.

With that, I head back to Viridian City and go inside of the mart to buy some supplies, which include a ton of Pokeballs and a fishing rod, which in total cost a whopping 4500 Pokedollars.

Yeeaahh, I don't want look at my wallet.

I head to the Pokemon Centre, tired as hell or is the Distortion World since Giratina is well, the Devil of the Pokemon World?

Doesn't matter

"Here you go Trainer. I'd recommend letting Eevee rest for a few days as it was the most injured out of all your Pokemon. As for the other two, just a bit of rest and they should be back at 100% tomorrow morning." Nurse Joy says, handing me back my Pokemon.

"Thanks but quick question, can I get a room to sleep in for the night?" I ask her.

"Sure thing." She says before pressing a few keys on her computer.

"All done. Your room is room 265."

"Thank you." I say but not before she gives to the room and I head upstairs in search of the place.

Finding what I'm looking for, I step inside and it looks like those 5-star hotel rooms back in the real world.

I put my backpack on the coffe table and sit on the bed, appreciating the fact that it's bouncy.

I take Pikachu, Spearow, Eevee, Pidgey, Magikarp and Rattata's Pokeballs out of my pockets as I sent the other ones to Professor Oak's lab a while ago since I already reached the carry limit.

I wonder if there's a way for me to increase that number.

I probably need to get a few Gym Badges to at least double it.

I find myself staring at the 6 Pokeballs in my hand, a smirk finds its way across my face and I'm sure if there were people in this room, they would all think that I'm crazy.

This is either a very good dream or I'm in a simulation but either way, I like it here.

No, wait, scratch that.

I fucking love it here!

END!

Yep, another chapter though this time, the MC has finally reached Viridian City and caught a few Pokemon, which include Eevee before setting off to Pewter City, after humilating an adult for abusing the Eevee. Get gud scrub, you're dealing with Start-up Plot Armour at its finest.

I wasn't sure how to do the battle scene, especially the stat boosting moves so if anyone has a place or a forum I could head to, I'd be grateful for that.

Response to reviews.

Guest 'Rick': I picked Kanto this time because my last self insert Pokemon fic was in Kalos and it wasn't popular as I thought it would and I didn't like it now that I look back at it. I'm not here to force you to like my story but if you see similiarites between mine Jord's stories well its because I wanted to tackle the Kanto region as well. Besides, no self insert story is original. Proof of that being most of the popular Isekai'ed into Pokemon are either in Kanto or Sinnoh.

Guest 'Benjamin': Yeah, whatever.

Guest 003: Thanks. Hope you ennoy it as well.

God of Wind 200: Welp, from that random Guest who commented that I take things from other stories like Jordinio's self insert fic. That and the fact that any story I seem to be making always have to have some negative reviews under it.

Ladydoragon: Pretty understandable.

You can review or PM'me if you want to see Nathan catch a particular Pokemon since I'm not gonna be relying on rolls to catch a Pokemon unlike Jord, who does so for his story.
