Prologue – Part 9
A Quick Holiday and Back to School
April 29th, 2009, Wednesday
Kawakami Temple
Even though it's a holiday and with Golden Week approaching that still doesn't stop my daily training at the Temple nor for the girls.
"Teyah!" Kazuko charges at me with her naginata as the blades of weapons clash. As other monks train elsewhere Kazuko and I have been honing our weapons skills as of late while still getting our daily run in.
"Hah!" Despite the torrent of attacks, I'm able to match each of them in turn.
"You're more intense then usual Wanko! Come on!" My warrior's blood pumping I praise her even as I defend against another of her strikes.
"You've gotten better to, Nagamasa! Now take this!" She comes at me with a heavy blow striking the ground, I merely dodge out of the way and through the dust ready my blade.
"Haaah!" With one great dash, I return the favor and catch Wanko off guard as my own heavy strike knocks her back.
"Uwah!" Wanko whelps as she's knocked to the ground once more her impatience getting the better of her.
Off to the sidelines Tesshin, Lu and Momoyo watched the two young fighters duel.
"Nagamasa-san has come far in such a short time here. At first his potential might've been a fluke but I can see now even since he has come leaps and bounds." Tesshin praises the young man.
"I agree, I agree and despite her loss Kazuko has come far as well. She seems more focused in her training, and she seems less and less inclined to want to finish a fight early though I believe she still has some work to do in that regard." Lu-sensei gives his own opinion.
"Yeah, Wanko's come really far since she came here. I think Nagamasa's been a good influence on her… even though it may've been too little, too late… Wanko…" Momoyo's inner thoughts betrayed the words she spoke openly.
30 minutes later, and it turns out Wanko's injuries aren't as bad as thought to be and she immediately return our stamina training.
With our morning training complete, the girls and I are released to do our own thing until it's time for night training.
"Ne, ne Nagamasa want to go get lunch with me and Onee-san?" Wanko asks.
"Eh, me?" I inquire pointing at myself.
"Well there ain't anyone else here named Nagamasa is there?" Momoyo answers with a playful smirk.
"True. But still why me? Wouldn't you and the others be hanging out?" I ask them.
"Sure we may be friends, but we all do our things from time to time and this time…" Kazuko picked up the end of her sister's conversation.
"We're taking you to lunch!" Kazuko says excitedly.
Haah… if they're inviting me of all people I can't say 'No' can I?
"Alright, let me get dressed first and we'll head out." Heading back to my room and getting dressed; I look back to my mostly empty closet and realize that besides my Kawakami academy uniform I only have the training Gi that the Temple gave me.
Guess when I came to this world I wasn't magically given a new wardrobe. So with little choice I put on the uniform and headed but almost immediately Momoyo looked displeased.
"Aaah, is that all you have?" Momoyo's disapproving tone made itself known.
"Before you say please don't call my family poor. It's unfortunately all I've got for going out." I reply with the truth, but it still doesn't take away the sting of her commentary.
"Well then guess we'll need to get you some new duds. Wanko, go tell the old man we'll need some money." Momoyo tells her sister.
"Yes, Onee-chan!" Wanko then goes off to find Tesshin.
"Are you sure about this?" I ask the elder sister.
"Yeah, I don't think the old man will mind if anything I think he'll be just fine with it." Momoyo answers simply.
A few moments later…
"Gramps gave the okay! Here's the money." Kazuko had a wad of cash in her hand.
"Good, after treating us to lunch we'll get you some new clothes." Momoyo said with a smile.
"Are you sure about this guys? I don't think I…" But Momoyo and Kazuko both frowned.
"If the old man's willing to pay up personally then it's fine." Kazuko said.
"Besides as far as the old man's concerned, while you're under our roof you might as well be family." Momoyo said once again with a smile on her face.
"Alright, alright… let's go then." With that the three of us head for the shopping district near Kawakami Station.
As we walk around I see everywhere 'Sale' sings in windows from clothes shops, boutiques and restaurants.
"Oh yeah, it's Golden Week so I guess owners want to attract more customers during this small holiday."
We head inside a family restaurant by the name of "Gost" and find a seat. Looking over the menu there's a wide arrange of options. Rice bowls, curry, ramen, and many more.
"So much…" I said to myself.
"Surprised? This place has some of the best food in Kawakami, a lot of students go here after school and it's a favorite of the locals." Momoyo says.
"Yeah, and sometimes we'll come here and eat together before Friday gatherings. But I guess you don't know about those." Kazuko said.
"Gathering?" I ask pretending to not know what they meant. "Oh that's why you two were gone on Friday."
"Yeah, we didn't tell you about that… sorry." Kazuko apologizes.
"You're fine. Besides I met Toshimaru while you guys were gone. So it wasn't like I was alone or bored or something." I reassure her.
Looking over the menu once last time and while getting our drinks; I finally made up my mind.
"You girls ready?" I ask them.
"Yeah, I'm getting the spicy hamburger curry." Momoyo said.
"Then I'll get the Tonkatsu rice bowl." Wanko said.
Then it came to me, "Then I'll get… Oyakodon bowl."
"Simple yet filling. Good choice." Momoyo approved.
And so while we waited for our food we simply engaged in small talk until one of Kazuko's ears perked up.
"Kazuko, something wrong?" I asked her.
"I thought I heard something that really sounded dangerous. It was from some guys on the other side of the store." Kazuko told us.
"Did they say anything in particular?" Momoyo asked.
"Something about a window-breaking game and then… something about someone selling something strange around town." Kazuko told us.
Momoyo shrugged her shoulders, "Well it does sound weird, but it's unrelated to us."
But of course little did I know those punks were part of the group breaking the windows at school, but that whole drug talk…
Oh, of times for my brain to malfunction… where did that start from… Aaaah…
"Nagamasa, are you okay? You look red all of a sudden." Kazuko pointed out.
"Oh, nothing really guess I just lost in my thoughts." I told her.
Eventually our food arrived and after giving thanks we chowed down. And my first time trying this stuff was amazing!
For such a simple dish it tasted amazing! I may have my own favorite lunch to take for myself in the future…
After enjoying our lunch together, we were just about to head out when…
"Aaaah! You…!" We all heard a familiar voice behind us. We turned around to see Gakuto and Moro were at the same restaurant as us.
"Oh Gakuto, Moro… Hey!" Kazuko tried to be friendly. But Gakuto seemed wrapped up in his anger.
"You… why're you out here with both of them?" He seemed upset and his accusatory glance only made his emotions betray him.
"It was just a bit of a shock to see both of them with you. Normally Momoyo's usually out with her fans or something…" Moro pointed out.
"Guys, we just headed out for lunch together. That and we're going out to find me some new clothes since I'm lacking in that department as you can see by me wearing my uniform right now." I explain to them.
"Oh, sorry it just seemed like you were acting like a playboy a bit." Moro said.
A playboy? Why?!
"Why would anyone think that?!" I asked incredulously.
"Because you're with THE Kawakami sisters by yourself! The two most revered and beloved sisters in all of Kawakami, do you know how many guys would want to be in your position!?" Gakuto tells me.
"Hey, Onee-sama what's a playboy?" Kazuko asked innocently.
"Ufufu, it's someone who picks up multiple girls but isn't serious about any of them." Momoyo decides to play along, teasing me.
"Eh? You mean like when you pick up girls Onee-san?" Kazuko inquires again.
"No, I merely treat my fans to a good time, I don't date them remember?" Momoyo explained.
"No, no most people would call that being a Playboy." Moro said exasperated that Momoyo tried to weasel her way out.
"Well it was fun boys, but we got somewhere else to be and we still have to get ready for night training and all that. So, see ya!" I said as the girls and I headed out of the restaurant and headed for a nearby clothes store that was also having a sale.
Heading in we begin looking over the men's sections but just as much as I was annoyed by Gakuto and Moro's Playboy accusation while I was scouring the men's section I could feel several stares on me. Some of anger and some I could feel wishing death upon me.
But I did my best to ignore it and keep looking, then I found a waffle-knit weave in a rather light grayish color with a simple blue jeans combo.
"Hey what do you guys think? Seem casual enough?" I showed them.
"Maybe a bit too casual?" Kazuko pointed out not knowing what else to say.
"Well the weather can be a bit crazy and as the summer passes by eventually you need something to keep warm. Besides the light gray goes with you I think." Momoyo gives her approval.
Alright, that's one…
I even found a simple formal dress set. It's not a tuxedo, but I think for first date to a fancy restaurant I think it would work or a sort of "dress to impress" moment is needed.
While looking around and trying on new outfits, I couldn't help but feel the hardened stares and even death glares that came my way.
"Guh… I guess that's what I get for hanging out with the Kawakami sisters. Especially when one of them is THE Momoyo Kawakami." I say to myself.
"That bastard… he doesn't deserve to be with her." I heard a male voice say.
Get a life buddy, she probably doesn't even know who you are…
"He doesn't deserve to breathe in the same room as her." This time a female voice said trying to whisper.
Well excuse me!
"Azai, you son of a… I hope you turn up dead one morning." A student from class 2-A thought.
"I heard he's even a student at Kawakami Temple… that lucky bastard…" A student from Class 2-C thought.
"And to think I had a chance… Damn you, Momoyo…" A student class 2-E thought.
I shuddered feeling a horrible feeling wash over me as if I had been violated somehow.
"Eh, you okay Nagamasa? Are you cold somehow?" Kazuko asked for my sake.
"Nah, just a chill I guess or something…" With that we finished our shopping and headed back for the temple.
However little did I know or even the sisters know we were being tailed by someone. They took out their orange-colored phone and spoke, "Bad news, he's still with the Kawakami sisters so I can't get close enough to talk to him!"
The voice on the other end knew this was a possibility, "Well if Momoyo's one of them it ain't worth it. Fall back for now."
"Tch, fine…" The person clicked their tongue.
"Besides I got some information out of some contacts I got at the temple on this newbie of theirs. Don't worry we got plenty of time…" The voice said trying to calm the speaker down.
The person walked away still hiding their presence from the trio their mission done for the day.
Eventually we made it back to the temple just in time for me to hang up my stuff and get ready for mine and Wanko's night run.
Getting back we found Momoyo still awake training in the courtyard she was training with a set-up of several hundred training targets. Wanko and I watched as she took down all of them either in one attack or multiples of them with just the shockwave of her attacks alone.
"Wow…" I say to myself.
"Hehe, that's Onee-sama. I hope I'll get that strong one day too." Wanko said happily with a smile.
Momoyo's finishes hardly having broken a sweat and she sees us and smiles.
"Hey two. Just getting in from your run?" She asks.
"Yeah, we're about to head for dinner and head for bed." I reply.
"Well today was fun… I just wish it would last a little longer…" Momoyo said dreading the return to school tomorrow.
"Hehe, it just means you have to put it an effort to study is all. Life isn't always about fun" I try to tease her.
"Zzz…" Momoyo immediately tries to fake falling asleep as she ignores me.
"Hey, don't fall asleep on the ground!" I tell her.
"Haha, Onee-sama always does to same thing when Yamato tries to get her to study for school and test. Ahaha…" Kazuko giggles to her sister's antics.
"Well, whatever…" I say with a sigh. With that Momoyo wakes up as he head to the dining hall.
"You know I kind of like this feeling…" Wanko says as both me and Momoyo turn around to look at her.
"What do you mean, Kazuko?" I ask her.
"Well, like I said before all these moments we've had, and after today… it really does feel like we're a family you know?" She says. Both me and Momoyo share a look and smile at each other.
"Hehe, to be affiliated with both the Kazama Family and Kawakami Family… Oh, I may feel a bit spoiled at some point." I say scratching my cheek sheepishly as Momoyo grabs me around the shoulder and pulls me into her as she does her sister.
Yeah, I really am enjoying life here… slowly, but surely.
April 30th, 2009, Thursday
Today was a normal day on the way to Kawakami Academy unless you count the legion of Momoyo's fans screaming and cheering for their idol as… "usual"
And so leaving behind the happy Momoyo with her fans and the lurking beast Gakuto behind, Yamato and I head for school until we see a loud commotion and what seems to be glass on the floor.
We see Kuma-chan in the hallway with the others asking him what was going on. Him telling us that someone else had broken another window the other night when no one was around.
But as he told us, he just as sooner went back to eating some gateau chocolate cake.
"You're eating gateau chocolate cake in the morning? That's amazing Kuma-chan." Yamato comments.
"Did you get it from somewhere in Kawakami?" I ask him.
"It's made with lots of couverture chocolate, so this stuff's the best. It's from a cake shop in Noborito in the residential district, so I had a hard time finding it." Kuma explains.
"Wow, you must have a lot of free time after school to find so many good places." I reply.
"Mind if we try some?" Yamato asked and Kuma obliged as we tried a piece. This was pretty good. Sure I was more a fan of normal cake, but this was just the right amount of sweet and the chocolate was sweet.
"That's pretty far to go all the way to get some cake, but it's expected of you, Kuma-chan." Yamato says.
"Here, you can each have one." With that Kuma gives us some.
"Thanks." We both say in unison as we head inside the classroom.
As we do Kazuko can be seen sniffing the air as she sees the pieces of cake we have, "Oh, what's that smell. That looks good you two."
"Kuma-chan gave us these cakes. Want to try some Wanko?" Yamato offered some of his.
Wanko's ears perked up, "Yeah, I want some!"
I saw Chris looking over at us and offered the same, "How about you, Chris? It's actually pretty good."
"I'm disappointed in you Nagamasa. I thought you'd have the common sense to not eat cake in the classroom in the morning." Chris chides me.
But Kazuko's enjoyment seems to nibble at Chris's curiosity, "Wow, this stuff is great! *Munch* *Munch*"
"…But I suppose it's not against the rules to eat something before class…" Chris says as I offer her the plate and she enjoys a piece.
"Then…" She gives a small cough. "I'll have some as well…" She takes a bite of it and her eyes go wide.
"This cake is wunderbar!" Chris says excitedly.
"See? And you thought it'd be a bad thing." I teased her.
She gets a little embarrassed as she covers her cheeks, "W-Well… you two were offering and so I thought I should at least try it."
Friendship with Christiane – [35% out of 100]
Well as they always say, the fastest way to friendship is through the stomach…
"Thanks." Wanko says for the cake.
"Yes, thanks." Chris does the same.
And so class begins and right around lunch time…
Moro comes running in as he tells Yamato, "Yamato! Aoi Touma's in the gambling den right now!"
"Looks like my chance for revenge is coming sooner than I thought." Yamato said as he turned to the rest of us, "Everyone. I'm going to go beat aoi Touma from Class 2-S in a gambling match. This is my return match, so come with me if you wanna watch."
And so with many of our fellow classmates in tow, me included. We head for the gambling den where we see several other students from various classes and the man of the hour, Aoi Touma in the middle of it all.
And standing beside him are his classmates and friends.
As Yamato opens the door, he immediately greets them, " So, I request a rematch."
Touma was already there, "Okay." His friends, Inoue Jun and Koyuki Sakakibara were by his side.
"That was quick, Boss." Inoue says surprised at Touma's quick reply.
"We still owe them for your loss, Jun." Touma explained.
Jun remembers his loss to Kazama, "… Sorry."
Included in this group was the "elegant" noble, Kokoro Fushikawa, "It's useless, useless, useless, no matter how many times you try!"
"Oh god, someone gag her if she's going to be talking for the rest of the game…" I groaned but it seems she heard me.
"Hmm… Ho, it's another 2-F monkey? Who are you? I don't think I've ever seen you before." Kokoro notices me.
"I'm new here, I just transferred here about a week ago. The name's Azai Nagamasa." I introduce myself as politely as I could trying to keep my manners.
"Hoh, it's nice to meet you Azai-san…" Touma tries to step towards me, but I immediately back away.
"Unless I give you express permission do NOT enter my personal space." But he steps forward again.
"Come now, we should get along as friends and fellow peers shouldn't we…?" But me pushing my blade from my sheath and my look seem to make him back off.
"Now, now. Love and peace. But I guess that doesn't exist… Eh?" Koyuki says trying to stop any confrontation. She then looks at me and stares into my eyes with her red-piercing ones.
"Ne… do I know you from somewhere?" Did she mean me? Of course she meant me, you idiot; who else?
"I… don't think so… I mean I just moved here from… Ugh…" Suddenly I got a headache and what seemed to come with me trying to… remember something?
All I can see for that split second was what seemed to be… me as a child? But… I don't remember any of that… I don't belong here. This is a fictional world, how could I…?
But I felt my sleeve getting tugged by Koyuki, "It's just… I feel like we've met before."
She then begins her hand to her chin as if in thought, "What's your name again?"
"Azai Nagamasa." I answer her.
"I see… well still it's nice to meet you! I'm Sakakibara Koyuki! Let's be friends!" And with that she skipped back over to her friends.
Getting back with the others, I asked Moro for an update and the two had decided to use playing cards into order to settle their match but now they were arguing over which ones to use.
For games like this it wasn't just a game of chance it was a game of two con men trying to make the best circumstances for each other to have the greatest advantage over the other when it was time to flip the top card.
But now the two were merely arguing from where the cards would come from.
And so they both come to the decision to buy a deck of cards from the school stand downstairs as both Jun and Miyako go to ensure the deck is a fair one.
After that both Aoi and Yamato go through them to ensure they're legit, which they do. "Geez, all of this just to see if the cards are real, and I thought they didn't want to waste time."
"I know right? ~" Koyuki sings. I can't get that "memory" out of my head when I see her now. Damn it, now that's going to be bothering me.
I shouldn't have a past here; I lived in the real world not this game world I didn't go back THAT far. But… maybe this body's previous owner…
No, now I'm just thinking like a crazy person…
The two make their bets, with Yamato it's, "I'll bet a king."
Aoi chuckles, "Then I go choose the farthest one from it, a six."
Aoi turns to me and asks, "Azai-kun, can you do the honors?"
"Alright then you two…" I place my two fingers on the card ready to flip it, "… read'em and weep."
It's A King of Diamonds!
"WHAT!?" Kokoro panics, "He got it right exactly!?"
"I win." Yamato simply states, shrugging his shoulders.
Chika congratulated him, "You did it, Naocchi! You made up for your loss!"
Aoi took his loss in stride with a sigh, "That was splendid… you beat me fair and square."
"HOLD ON! O-One more match!" Kokoro demanded thinking it had to be a fluke or that Yamato cheated.
But with that the bell rang signaling the end of the break period and we all left for our respective classrooms. Along thew way me and Yamato walked together.
"I saw how you won, you know?" I told him.
"Hmm, you did?" Yamato sounded interested in my deduction.
"You knew like before he'd probably try and bribe the lady who works the school counter to fix the cards, but instead of arguing with him you decided to play along. You weren't just playing with chance, you instead 'fixed' the game by shuffling the deck instead. I'm guessing those cards we get are prepackaged in a certain way and you probably practice shuffling with them all the time so you knew exactly what to do to make the odds as best they could for you. Am I on the right track?" I finish my explanation to see a wide-eyed Yamato.
"Y-Yeah… that's exactly it." He said.
"It's like Aoi said, you've got the moves of a pro when it comes to shuffling, and while you had to let Aoi cut the cards which was out of your hands your shuffles gave you at least and increased chance in a correct guess." I finished.
After school…
Just as I was finishing packing my bag, I heard Kazama behind me, "Ayo, Nagamasa!"
I greet him back as he zooms toward me, "Hey man, what's the rush?"
"Don't leave yet! The Kazama Family plus Mayucchi and Chris are having a meeting about a request we got."
"Request?" Oh, wat it's about the broken windows. I forgot they found out about that today, what with the whole Aoi and Yamato rematch.
"Yeah, with you being with Momoyo and Kazuko you're pretty much already an honorary member of the family already! We want to show you how we do things." Kazama tells me.
"If you insist." Taking my bag with me I followed him to another classroom where everyone else was in fact waiting for us. Mayucchi and Chris were already there waiting for us.
"Hey guys, I found Nagamasa back in the classroom. But now with all 10 of us here, we can get started." He says starting the meeting. "Good news, we've got a request."
"A request, huh? That's good. I can save money on food." Momoyo says as I find myself sitting next to her.
"Really? Or will you keep stealing my rice balls?" I accuse her.
"Hey, they're going to a good cause." She replies with a smirk.
"My lunch is not for your stomach! You bottomless pit!" I yell at her.
"Um, what do you mean by request?" Mayucchi asks.
"We get hired for things like lending a hand in club practice games, and we call those requests." Yamato explains.
Moro chimed in, "Well most of the time, they ask for Momo-senpai's ability."
Gakuto jumps in too, "There are requests for us guys too, like pretending to be boyfriends."
But as Moro points out, "Mostly it was Capt being the boyfriend though…"
"Ya'll seem like a jack-of-all trades type of group." I said.
"Only for ones the school asks us to do though." Yamato iterates.
"And we get paid in meal tickets. This time we got 100 first-class meal tickets." Capt announces.
Wanko's eyes light up, "Wow! ~ 100 meal tickets is a lot! It must be a big request."
Kazama tells us, "It's a manhunt quest. They want us to punish the people who are breaking windows."
"So they actually put it up as a request?" Miyako asks.
"How did you manage to win it?" Gakuto asks.
"Win it?" Me and Chris ask in unison.
"There's others who are doing this jack of all trades thing too. So requests are first up like at an auction." Gakuto explains.
"The team that wins the bidding takes the responsibility and carries out the request for the school." Yamato finishes.
"The windows have been broken this week, right?" Kazama recalls.
Momoyo scoots closer to me for some reason, "I hear this is the first windows breaking incident at Kawakami Academy."
"They've told us to catch and punish the culprits." Kazama tells us.
"What's security been doing?" Yamato inquires.
"When one of the guards seized one of the culprits trying to escape, he was knocked away by other culprits, They aren't ordinary people." Kazama says.
"Sounds like it's your time to shine once more, Nagamasa." Momoyo whispers in my ear, making me feeling a chill up my spine as she does so.
What the hell woman?
And for the rest of the meeting Kazama gave us any requisite information the school had given him about the number of possible suspects and their getaway method.
The idea would be the 10 of us would guard the school until the culprits arrived and we would ambush them to catch them off guard and that they wouldn't be able to warn the others.
And after Gakuto got his butt beat and crumples to the floor for saying something he shouldn't we were all ready to take on the request, "Well, that was a good warm up… All right, we'll show our powers as samurai to our heart's content!" Momoyo declares with a confident smile.
"All right! We'll beat them!" Kazuko declares as well not scared of anything.
"I'll do my best!" Yukie declares reservedly, but there's confidence behind her words.
"I shall defeat the unrighteous culprits!" Chris declares passionately, her sense of justice stirs her.
"Fufufu…" Without any words, Miyako is more then ready.
"Oi, Nagamasa you're a warrior aren't you? Come on, say something cool." Momoyo asks me.
"Eh, ah… fine…." I sigh as I get into proper character, "Anyone who messes with Kawakami… shall face my blade!"
And despite my beating heart, I stand side by side with the very samurai girls this story is about, and just the feeling of standing by their side is exhilarating.
The boys are overwhelmed and with my inclusion feel left out, "W-We can't lose. We men will do our best too!" Kazama tries to rally the other guys.
But none of the others rely to Kazama's dismay, "Come on, reply to me! I'll cry! Here. We men will do our best too!"
"Roger…" Yamato says.
"Okay…" Moro says quietly.
Gakuto on the floor painfully says, "It's not fair…"
It really hurts to even think like this… but they look pathetic.
Finally night fell upon the school, and the plan was all set out…
Momoyo and I's jobs were to sense their presences and tell the others when they arrived.
As we sat on the rooftop of building C we waited patiently near the door when we heard a car pull-up and immediately we sensed four presences enter the vicinity.
As there were ten of us and Moro's on information; me and Momoyo were made into a two-man cell to fight one of the intruders, while the rest of the Family dealt with the other culprits along with Miyako for sniper support.
"There are four enemies… and it looks like they're conveniently split onto different floors." Momoyo notes saying this while breathing down my neck. She also leaned in closer, causing her chest to go right into my back.
"M-Momo-senpai… getting kind of hard… ah, it's kind of hard to think… yeah." Damn this woman… when did I become her new plaything?
With that Momoyo and I head downstairs with me peering around the corner while kneeled while Momoyo watched from above.
"This is another test for you trainee to see if you 're truly worthy of being my protégé." I once again feel her breath tickle my neck.
"S-senpai… that kind of tickles…" I cover my mouth as best I can.
Then we heard movement down the halls as we saw one of the culprits, what seemed to be a tall, blonde-haired foreigner skipping through the halls, "La-la-la ~ I'm going to be breaking windows now ~" The guys foreign accent was noticeable and sounded like nails on a chalkboard.
"You know what to do, trainee?" Momoyo whispers. I nod and begin quietly moving to get behind the guy.
Momoyo walks out and confronts the intruder, "You're the one who's going to be broken, though."
"…!? You saw me!" The intruder, Bob is shocked.
"Kawakami Momoyo. You can recall this name with a nightmare." She stands with her arms crossed as she stares him down.
Without any warning he began doing weak air punches to attack Momoyo, "Take my punches! Hah, hah!" Even adding sound effects to them.
"Oi! Trainee!" She calls for me to the confusion of Bob.
"Huh?" He turns around to the sound of running, as he sees me. "A-another one!?"
"Say something cool!" Momoyo yells.
I draw my sword as I dash towards the guy, "You won't escape, prepare yourself! Haaah!" And before Bob can even do anything with one blow I slid to a stop just in front of Momoyo as Bob begins to slowly fall over. "Enemy officer, defeated."
"Oh… no…" As the thud of his body hits the floor he goes unconscious.
"Hmm, basic. But it's a passing grade." Momoyo critiques my entrance.
"Not like it matters." I say. "I'm heading for the secondary point. Got that Yamato?" I say into my radio.
"Got it, head for the main gate. That's where Miyako said their getaway car is." Yamato tellsme over the radio. I quickly head down the fire escape and head for the main gate.
"Miyako, can you see me? Anymore movement inside the school?" I ask the purple-haired archer from her sniper's perch.
"The others have gotten their targets. Wait… it seems one got away Chris probably broke from the plan. I'll take care of the car, you hide…" And with that she goes silent.
I do as she's told as I hide behind some bushes that lie in front of ther getaway car. I hear heavy breathing at one point while at the same time the popping of one of the car's tires.
"A-Aaah! There's an arrow in the tire! It's flat now!" The leader of the culprits screams in anger. "W-who shot this… and from where?"
"That'll be the least of your concerns…" I say surprising him as I come from my hiding spot with my katana drawn.
"Crap… there's more of you?! I've got to get away from here!" The culprit tries to turn and run, but he's stopped again when another set of footsteps approaches us.
Wanko appeared from the other side, "There he is! I found the runaway! Thanks for stalling him Nagamasa!"
"Sure, he's all yours!" I let Wanko have this one.
"W-who are you guys! D-Don't come near me!" The guy pulls out a knife as he switches between looking at me and Wanko pointing the knife menacingly at us.
However, Kazuko was unfazed, "What? Do you want me to knock the knife away?" Kazuko then gets serious as she knocks the knife out of this hands.
The leader then realizes how powerless he is, "Oh…"
"Thrust!" With one powerful thrust from the butt of her weapon she knocks the culprit out cold.
"Fufun. Enemy officer defeated!" Kazuko cheers. With that the both of us high five each other in celebration with all four of the culprits punished and captured.
And with that done, it was my first request completed and my first reward as well. But even so the discord between Chris and Yamato increased due to their differing opinions.
Well even so, tomorrows Friday, so one more day closer to the weekend and no school.
AN#1 – Well here's the nineth part of my prologue to my Majikoi story, I'm NOT a Samurai, Seriously! Today was Nagamasa's first request with the Kazama family stopping the vandals from breaking anymore windows at the school and successfully taking them out.
Nagamasa also meets some of those of Class S, specifically Fushikawa, Sakakibara, Touma and Jun in the gambling den and it would seem Koyuki knows Nagamasa, but our hero seems to have some issues understanding this…
Who knows what past lies in Nagamasa's new body, or is it remnants of its previous owner?
What's up next for our hero, Nagamasa? Stay tuned for Prologue – Part 10 – The Friday Gathering!
