Paw Patrol X

New Recruits arc Episode two: A New Beginning Part Two


The same day Flare and Marshall moved into the Paw Patrol Lookout, the drone Skye spotted yesterday was flying over to a fortress that looked ot be built on some random island. It was quite the bulky building, and stood at about three stories, having many more rooms than the lookout, but still being the same height. The drone went into the middle room, where a Golden Retriever was on the phone discussing something as he looked at the monitors he'd set up, which were shown to be around Adventure Bay. "I mean, if I didn't want to get away with this I probably would've had my base in a more populated area."

The Golden Retriever noticed the drone and it then spoke to him in a robotic voice. "Charm. I would like to report that a new member (Reveals a picture of Flare and Marshall hugging) of the Paw Patrol has recently joined. (Charm observes the picture) The older one if the new member, and he seems to be there with his brother."

Charm found this information intriguing. Charm was a young, but sadistic and calculating young Golden Retriever, who had a knack for causing chaos and torturing or killing those who ruled against him, and found sick pleasure in making everyone he could feel miserable. And this information about a new member just gave him a new target, possibly two. "So I have a new playmate then." Charm looked at the Dalmatian brothers and gave a sadistic grin as he commented on their future status. "Get the army into my office. (Cups paws together devilishly) It's time to plan mischief."


The next day, Flare was sleeping in his bed with his phone revealed to be on his pillow while he was cuddling with his teddy bear. Just as his alarm went off, it was revealed to be seven in the morning, and Flare quickly woke up and turned off his alarm just as three lyrics played "You make me-". Excited that his plan was working correctly so far, he jumped out of bed and slid down the ladder to find his brother squirming, as he usually did while sleeping. Flare snickered a bit, always finding it funny whenever Marshall got all energetic while he was sleeping.

Now that Flare was out of bed, his plan could commence. He quickly ran over to his stuff, which consisted of his backpack, his gaming console, which he would later hook up, his memory book, and a mini kit of cooking supplies. He took this and quietly left the room, knowing that moving too quickly would wake up Marshall and ruin the surprise. Once he left the room, he smiled proudly at what Marshall was accomplishing now and walked past the rooms to get to the kitchen.

The kitchen wasn't too easy for Flare to find, since he'd only just moved into the lookout with Marshall, but he eventually found it on the first floor past the training room. When he got in there, he looked around to make sure that no one else was there, making him relieved to know that no one else could interfere with his plan. He got a look around the kitchen and saw that the Paw Patrol had all of the supplies that he needed. He set his stuff up anyway, just to be safe. He knew he was still too young to use the adult knives despite them being more efficient.

Flare then started setting everything up, putting the pans down and getting all kinds of breakfast foods from bacon, to eggs, to even pancake mix. The Paw Patrol usually started getting ready for the day around eight thirty, so that gave Flare plenty of time to work. He wanted to make extra sure that his new friends, and his brother, were up and ready for the day whenever they could be, so after he set the stove to the right heat, he set the bacon in and happily got started.

Cooking was a favorite hobby of Flare's since he was five and helped his mother in the kitchen with breakfast at one point, so he knew that it was the perfect way to be of good help to the team, even if he wasn't a member yet. Since he still had plenty of time to finish his plan before everyone else woke up, he decided to get a soda from the fridge while the bacon was on, pulling out a cherry soda and cracking it open; and as he set it aside, making sure not to put it anywhere messy, he put on another pan and got started on the eggs to make sure everything worked in sync.


As Marshall was sleeping, happily dreaming about his time with the Paw Patrol, Chase slammed his door open to help Marshall be on time for his first day on the team. "Marshall, wake up!" Marshall became startled when Chase burst into his room and fell out of bed, getting wrapped up in his blanket. As he adjusted to being woken up like that, Chase laughed a bit and helped Marshall get out of it to make up for the sudden entrance. "I should've told you this when you arrived, but we all wake up at eight thirty since Ryder starts waiting for missions at around nine."

Marshall got up after rubbing his head and took note of that as he spoke up about his sleeping methods. "Yeah, sorry about that. I'm used to sleeping in during the summer."

"That's okay, we just gotta get you used to waking up at the same time as the rest of us." Chase assured Marshall, and then he decided to try and get him up and moving. "Cmon; I'll race you to the elevator!"

"Alright!" Marshall and Chase ran off with Marshall taking notice to how fast Chase was. It was important to be quick on your feet for him, since he was a police dog, but it still impressed Marshall as he observed his speed. The two of them then turned around the corner and made a break for the elevator, only for Marshall to trip on a ball that was on the floor, and he crashed into Chase, who was right in front of him. This led to the two of them tumbling into the elevator and rolling past the other pups, who got out of the way just in time after they noticed.

They looked back to find Chase and Marshall recovering with Marshall helping Chase up as Zuma joked about the incident. "Why do I feel like this is gonna be a new theme in the mowning?" The rest of the pups started laughing as the elevator close and rose up to take them to the top floor.


Flare was continuing to set everything up at the top floor with Ryder coming out of his room and taking notice to the table with all of the plates with tabletops over them on a long table. He was intrigued by this and walked over to Flare, wondering what the young Dalmatian pup had in mind. "Got somethin' planned over here, Flare?"

Flare started wagging his tail as he responded to Ryder's question, being excited for how the team felt about his food. "It'll be something alright Ryder. Just wait until the team gets up here." As the team arrived at the top, they were all revealed to be in their pup suits, except for Marshall, who didn't have his yet. Chase was in his police uniform, Zuma was in his water pup uniform, Skye was in her flight suit, Snow as in her backup police uniform, and Rocky was in his eco pup uniform. Flare loved seeing all of them in their uniforms, hoping that Marshall's was just as cool as the rest.

Chase was about to start the jumping forward sequence, but stopped when he noticed the table in front of them. And then they saw Flare standing behind said table. Marshall knew what was coming, and as soon as Flare lifted the first of the tabletops, the team's noses were filled with a wonderful aroma of bacon that made an excited Flare speak up. "Surprise!"

The smell of bacon reached everyone's noses without hesitation, leaving them all in awe by the smell of it. Marshall was sighing with joy, Chase was drooling, Rocky and Zuma were gazing in amazement, Skye was mimicing a bite for when she started eating, and snow was getting a vicious look on her face, as if she was ready to chow down with Ryder smiling as he realized Flare's plan. "Ah, I see what you did there. (Looks at Flare) Thanks a lot, Flare. I'm sure the team really appreciates this."

Flare gave Ryder a thumps up (Don't ask how that works with paws) as he then lifted up the other tabletops as well, leaving the rest of the team to walk on over and start gathering the food once Flare handed the plates out with Snow speaking up about it. "Thanks Flare! (Grabs an extra piece of bacon) What's the occasion?"

"Just my way of saying thanks for accepitng Marshall onto the team." Flare admitted, and then he admitted that there were a couple of other reasons as well as he got his own portion of the food he made. "And because I wanted to start off strong. Also I wanted to."

"Well whatever weason, you've already making a solid impwession on me." Zuma assured Flare, chomping down on a slice of french toast with Flare smling with joy at how well his plan payed off.

Chase was chowing down on his third pancake as he looked at Marshall, who was eating some bacon and scrambled eggs for a starter. "Don't take this the wrong way, Marshall, but your brother is awesome!"

"Yeah. He has that vibe on people." Marshall laughed as he replied to Chase's compliment to Flare. He knew that Flare was going to leave a strong impact as soon as they got here.


Richie was walking down the sidewalk to the road that the Paw Patrol was on and was currently on the phone with his mom while talking about his thoughts on Marshall as a new member. "He seems alright, but him being clumsy could be a setback. Thankfully it didn't come up much, if at all, when he met Ryder, so I think we can work past it." Just as Richie was passing the block, he instantly caught what looked like a cloaked figure holding a match and some gasoline. He knew he had to act quickly if he wanted this to go well and had to end the call. "Sorry, mom, I'll call you back."

Richie hung up and ran over to the apartment complex, which was the building the cloaked figure was entering, and he stayed close, but not too close, as he observed his actions. The figure made sure no one was watching him as Richie quickly took his phone back up and walked a bit to make it look like he was ignoring him. When the figure got back to what he was doing, Richie took a photo of him putting a canister of gasoline on the floor and then kicked the door open as he spoke up. "Don't even try it,buddy!"

The figure saw Richie as the latter showed him the photo, and Richie noticed that everyone else was watching and let him know what he was doing. "I just noticed this person putting a canister on the floor. I think he's planning to start a fire. (Gives a death stare to the figure) Empty your pockets." The cloaked figure became scared and emptied his pockets as instructed. Richie was all no nonsense when it came to criminals, and despite being thirteen, he was good at filling his foes with fear. The cloaked figure revealed some matches, which led to Richie putting his phone away and speaking up. "I thought so."

The cloaked figure panicked and lunged at Richie, who kicked him to the left, managing to avoid hurting anyone as the figure hit the wall. As Richie ran over to the cloaked figure, he was revealed to be a Doberman, which Richie instantly recognized, since he was quite familiar with the criminal breeds. "So you work for Charm then. Another good reason to deal with you." The Doberman took out a smoke bomb and activated it just before Richie could stop him after the noticed.

Richie used his enhanced eyesight to locate the Doberman, managing to find him as he kicked the gasoline bottle down and lit it, picking it up and having it spread after lifting the match and throwing it down. Richie quickly looked around to find what he could do. He couldn't throw the gasoline bottle aside, since he knew it would risk hurting some of the residents. He first had to escort everyone out of the building. "EVERYONE GET OUT NOW! HE'S ABOUT TO BURN THE PLACE DOWN!" Everyone started panicking with Richie figuring out what to do next.

Richie knew that he couldn't be reckless here, and to give as much of a chance for the building to be saved as possible. As the fire sizzled, giving Richie intense anger over what was going on, he saw a fire extinguisher and punched open the glass to get it once the smoke cleared. He then started putting the fire out, only for the figure to kick it out of his hands, which resulted in it crashing through a window. Richie then saw the Doberman running for it, only to notice the gasoline canister about to catch on fire, which alerted him greatly, running out and making sure to get the fire extinguisher before leaving the building.

The explosion from the gasoline canister happened just as Richie and the Doberman reached the door, leaving the Doberman to attempt to escape, only for Richie to punch in the face and knock him out. As angry as Richie was about this mess, he knew he couldn't turn the criminal in while a fire was happening. He then remembered Marshall from the other day. 'That new dog Ryder hired. His clumsiness is less than ideal, but if I know Ryder, he'll give him the right position.' Richie took out his phone and gave a call to Ryder, knowing the Paw Patrol were best for this situation.


The pups were all finished with their breakfast and were stuffed from the experience, leaving Chase to pat his belly as he let out a loud burp and felt quite proud of it. Marshall, who was right next to Chase, couldn't help but look at him when he did that as Chase then commented on his farts. "You think that's nasty? Heh. Just smell my room before I wake up every day."

Ryder saw that everyone was done eating with Flare and Snow taking care of the trash, which they tossed over the balcony and into the garbage dumpster. After that was taken care of, everyone lined up on Ryder's command "Alright pups; it's time to line up for Marshall's initiation ceremony!" Everyone lined up in a straight line with Marshall not sure where to stand.

Zuma didn't want Marshall to feel too lost, so he decided to offer him a spot next to him. "Take a spot by me dude." Marshall was grateful for the offer and sat on Zuma's right, since his left was where Chase was sitting, and then it went Rocky, and then Skye. Zuma then smirked as he looked at Marshall and spoke up about himself. "You evew wanna see how awesome I am, just see me on the water."

Marshall chuckled a bit upon hearing that with the other Paw Patrol members rolling their eyes while smiling as Snow sat next to Skye. Flare decided to watch from a couple feet away, being beyond happy for Marshall as Ryder spoke up. "Yesterday, we had the arrival of two Dalmatian pups. One who was a new member, and the other who was...let's stay a stowaway on said new member's boat ride." Flare giggled a bit at the mention of him being a stowaway as Ryder then signalled Marshall to step forward, which he happily did as Ryder took out a pup tag for him.

Ryder kneeled down to Marshall, being more than happy to add him as a new member of the team. "Marshall, as the first ever Dalmatian to join the Paw Patrol, you'll be the team's resident firefighter. You'll be able to participate in missions that don't have anything to do with fires, but your main purpose on the team will be putting said fires out, and helping people or animals get down from high places." Marshall was more than happy for any role as Ryder then asked him an important question. "Now if I'm correct, you must remember the team motto?"

"I'm guessing you don't mean what's the motto with me?"

"Marshall!"

The rest of the team laughed at Marshall's pun, which made Marshall glad, since it meant he was still making a good impression. Marshall was quite the pun quipper. But then he got serious as he tried to remember it while smiling slightly nervously. "In all seriousness though...off the top of my head, this is what I remember." Marshall then said the motto the best he could. "No job is too big, no pup is too small. No matter who it is, we provide help for all. Whether it's light or dark, whether it's pleasent or foul. We'll rise up against all danger with a mighty howl."

Chase nodded with respect, as Marshall's on the spot memory was on point, and Ryder then gave him his pup tag. The tag formed into a collar when Ryder put it around Marshall's neck, and inside of it, formed Marshall's pup suit. The first thing that spawned was his pup pack, which then led to his pup hat flying out of it and landing on his head. After that, Marshall stood proudly with the rest of the pups cheering and howling for him, especially Flare, who was psyched about Marshall joining the team as he ran up to Marshall. "This is gonna be so super awesome!"

Marshall was glad to be a member, but then Richie gave a call to inform the Paw Patrol about the crime he witnessed earlier. Ryder answered it instantly from the pup pad and then saw that Richie was putting out the fire as he spoke to Ryder from the phone. "Thanks for holding my phone, Katie. (Speaks to Ryder) Ryder! I caught one of Charm's minions setting fire to the apartment complex!" Flare instantly started to worry about the people inside the apartment complex after Richie explained the situation. The last thing he wanted was for anyone to get hurt or die in a disaster like that. "I was able to stop him from escaping, but I need help with the fire! Get down here quick!"

"You got it. Thanks, Richie." Ryder replied calmly, instantly taking action with Richie giving a thumbs up as Katie hung up for him. This led to Ryder kneeling down to a nervous Marshall, who knew what was about to happen. He didn't think his first assignment would come so quickly, nor that it'd be this dangerous. "Marshall, I know this is sudden, but I have your fire truck and everything set up. Do you think you can handle this?"

Marshall had to swallow his pride and fear to help out with this mission, and he wanted to with all of his heart, even if he didn't like what was going on. He wanted to be a hero and help people the best he could, and he couldn't call himself a hero if he just ran away from danger. So he put on a determined look and made his callout on the spot to fit with the team better. "I'm fired up!"

Ryder was glad to hear that, opening the slide up with Flare taking notice and getting a good look at it as he walked over to it. As Ryder walked past Marshall, he walked over to Chase, knowing that he would also be great for this mission. "Chase; I need you to keep everyone away from the perimiter. Make sure everyone is safe from the danger."

"Chase is on the case!" Chase stated confidently and proudly, and then he ran over to the slide, jumping down it and sliding down while looking confident and determined in his ride down. Ryder took a ride down a firefighter pole at the same time with Flare looking down the slide in awe just as Marshall came down. He tried to signal Flare to get out of the way, but ended up tripping over a dropped pancake, which led to Marshall crashing into Flare. Marshall slid down the ladder and tried to keep his balance with Flare laughing as he went down with his older brother.

Snow then picked up the pancake, as Marshall fell off of it as soon as he crashed into Flare. Snow then went to throw it out as she joked about it. "Guess Flare and I missed one when you sloppy boys wanted seconds." Skye snickered at the joke with Zuma and Rocky laughing at the jab they just faced from Snow. The slide then split into two paths, one for Chase, and one for Marshall. Chase went down the right side and landed into his police truck, hwoling confidently as he started it up. Marshall quickly joined him in his fire truck, which Flare joined him.

Marshall landed in his seat with Flare rising up from the back of it and took a jab at himself, along with Marshall. "Guess my brain in that instance was as clumsy as you on ice!"

Marshall and Chase laughed at Flare's joke as Chase then made it quick to point out the flaw with this action. "Sorry, Flare. Marshall can't bring a companion."

"Let's see if Ryder will make an exception." Marshall coyly suggested, deciding to make a cool big brother moment as he gave Ryder a call with Flare's ears perking up.

Ryder instantly answered and was glad to see Marshall catching on so fast. "Ryder here. I see you figured out how to call me quickly enough."

"Yep." Marshall then explained the situation, hoping he wasn't coming off as needy. "So, Ryder, I know this might be a bit of a stretch, but I accidentally crashed into Flare when he was looking down the slide, (Flare giggles a bit) and he landed in my new fire truck with me. Do you think he could come to?"

"As long as he promises not to get in the way." Ryder assured Marshall, and Flare decided to ask for clarification on that one.

"Define, 'get in the way'. Because if I KNOW I can help, I'll wanna help."

"We can work on that when you get here. Just try to stay safe."

Flare gave Ryder a thumbs up as Ryder then hung up as Chase and Marshall took off with Flare being excited to see the mission. "I can't believe I'm actually gonna see the Paw Patrol in action! I seriously hope this isn't a one time thing." Marshall laughed a bit as he rubbed his brother's head after Flare sat down next to him, knowing that this was gonna be one heck of a time for them both.


Flare arrived with Chase, Marshall, and Ryder as Richie ran over to them to give them a status report on the situation. The screams of the people inside hit Marshall, but Flare rubbed his shoulder to comfort him, which seemed to help a bit. Chase seemed to notice this as well and put in his own two cents. "Don't worry. We've all gotten first mission jitters."

While Flare and Chase were helping out Marshall, Richie was giving his status report to Ryder. "Perfect timing, Ryder! The fire extinguisher they had just ran out and the fire just spread to the third floor! I was able to get some of the residents out, but I can only imagine what the residents who're still inside are going through."

"You did what you could, Richie. Just make sure this guy doesn't escape. We'll get the people out the best we can." Ryder assured Richie, with Marshall hoping that the best they could was good enough with him there. His greatest fear in that moment was if someone died in the fire. Ryder then he turned his attention to Chase so he could fulfill his duty. "Chase! Block off anyone from coming onto this block!"

"Chase is on the case!" Chase quickly rode over to the roads that led tot he apartment complex and barked to open up his trunk, "Trunk!" which it did almost instantly. He then did a backflip and landed behind his truck to get the cones. He got as many as he could and quickly spread them all out with Flare noticing the action and finding it to be cool, despite how subtle it was. Chase then got in between the cones and spoke up to any cars that came by. He then barked again to call for something else. "Megaphone!"

After the megaphone came out, Chase started calling out to the cars that were coming by to where the cones were. "Stay back! Paw Patrol rescue in progress! (Gives a grin) You can take pictures of me; (Gets serious again) just don't get close to the danger."

Ryder rolled his eyes while smiling at Chase's mention of having pictures of him taken as he then instructed Marshall to do his thing. "Marshall! Use your water cannon to put the fire out!"

"I'm on it!" Marshall barked in an attempt to call out his water cannon, doing what he thought would work best. "Water cannon!" Just then, Marshall's pup pack opened up, confusing him a bit, "Huh?" and then water sprayed out of the cannon. Marshall then chuckled a bit before barked for the water cannon he actually needed. "Water cannon on my fire truck!"

Marshall's fire truck spawned a water cannon and started spraying the water, just as Ryder spoke up about Marshall's pup pack. "I forgot to tell you about the pup pack's water cannon. That one is the one you use for small fires that can be put out without your truck." Marshall took note of that as screams were then heard from inside again, leaving Ryder to give another instruction to Marshall as the Doberman started to wake up with Richie grabbing him instantly. "In front of you are some buttons you can use for some of the other features! Hit the one with the ladder on it!"

Marshall went to press the button, but then the screams of the people inside finally hit him. He was doing alright up to that point, but then the people's screams hit him so hard that, he lost it. The pressure was getting to him, which caused him to struggle with seeing properly. He couldn't help but think about what would happen if he failed the people inside. His mind was a mess; he couldn't think clearly; he just wanted this to stop!

Flare instantly noticed what Marshall was going through when he started hyperventilating and called down to Ryder in an attempt to help, not wanting the people to get hurt, or for Marshall to feel worse about himself. "Ryder, Marshall's having a freak attack; I got this!" Ryder nodded in response, showing concern for Marshall with Flare pulling Marshall to face him and speaking to him softly and assuringly. If there was one pup who could help Marshall through this, it was Flare. "Hey hey hey, easy, Marshall. Focus. You're doing good so far. I'm right here. Just breathe. Slowly."

Marshall slowed down his breathing and kept it up until he started breathing normally. When he did, he cleared his head, and saw Flare clearly. And his little brother was giving him a genuine, comforting smile. Marshall went to put his head back in the game, pressing the ladder button as he then apologized to Ryder about his panic attack, as he knew that he couldn't expect it to go unnoticed. "Sorry, Ryder. I'm still working on handling pressure like this."

"We still have time to save everyone." Ryder assured Marshall, being willing to help him with his pressure handling skills. "And we'll help you with that the best we can."

Marshall nodded in response as the ladder reached the top with someone opening it up after noticing with the Doberman laughing at the team's actions as people started coming down. "Good luck trying! Charm's fire causes so much chaos that it could burn all of the village of not done in a specific building!"

Richie karate chopped the Doberman's neck, being annoyed by his voice as he spoke to Flare and Marshall. "Ignore him. He's scum."

Chase arrived back to where the others were and gave a report on his status. "I managed to keep everyone safe, Ryder sir. No one's passing those cones."

"Thanks, Chase. Now set up a jumping pad for those who aren't on the same floor as the ladder." Ryder instructed Chase, who was already prepared.

"I was planning on it." Chase barked and called out for his landing pad "Landing pad, go!" And it landed right next to the building (Thankfully it was fireproof) with Chase then giving the signal to Ryder. "All set!"

"Perfect." Ryder then started calling up to the residents inside to help them come down. "Everyone who's in the building! There's a ladder on the third floor of the right side, and there's a landing pad for those who can't reach that window! Come out quick or the fire will spread too much to escape!" Everyone then started escaping with Ryder then giving Marshall another instruction. "Keep that fire out the best you can." Marshall nodded in response, continuing to do so while trying to keep his cool.

Flare stood by while Marshall put the fire out as the two of them then heard a familiar sounding voice from inside the apartment complex. "Help! I'm trapped under something!"

Flare was instantly the first to comment on that, as he knew that whoever was inside wouldn't be able to get out under those circumstances. "That's Alex!"

Flare instantly started running up Marshall's ladder, which alerted Marshall "Flare, wait!", and also caught the attnetion of the others with Flare then jumping into the building to look for Alex. The smoke was making it a little difficult, but thankfully there wasn't too much of it, and he started his search for Alex. Before he could though, he heard some loud beeping and looked up to find a fire alarm. He felt that would distract him, so he picked up a rock and threw it at the fire alarm, breaking it. Sighing with relief, he went off to look for Alex without any annoying sounds.

Flare heard Alex shout again and saw him at the end of the hallway outside of the room he entered. He ran over to Alex and saw that his foot was trapped under a beam, which thankfully only trapped his foot. "Alex; are you okay!?"

Alex saw Flare and recognized him from yesterday, being glad to see someone he knew. "Oh, Flare! Yeah, I should be okay! I was about to go down the escape ladder, but the fire rose up so fast that the beam above me started falling apart as soon as I got to it!"

"The Paw Patrol will be more than happy to look at that! Get ready to crawl!" Flare wasn't the strongest pup in the world, but that wasn't to say he wasn't strong at all; and he knew he couldn't just avoid taking action. So he stood on his hind legs and kneeled down, attempting to lift up the beam the best he could. He couldn't manage it however and breathed heavily as the fire thankfully started going out. He then got another idea and noticed that Alex's show was what was mostly responsible for him being stuck. He took it off and explained why. "Sorry, but this is in the way."

Flare helped Alex up and carried him out the best he could, managing to get him out of the hallway and over to the ladder with Marshall arriving at the top. "Flare! Are you and Alex alright!?"

"Yeah, we're fine!" Flare assured Marshall, getting onto the ladder before Alex as he pulled him out of the building. "Thankfully all it took was ditching a kid's shoe."

Flare and Marshall climbed down with Ryder, Chase, and Richie heading over as Alex smiled to Flare. He was eternally grateful for the rescue, and hoped that they could be friends after this. "Thank you so much Flare. If you hadn't come when you did I could've been a goner."

"I wouldn't go THAT far." Flare admitted, revealing that he noticed the fire going out and looked at the building to find that some of each floor was destroyed. This gave him sorrow, having never seen such a heinous act before. "Who would do something like this?"

Richie then threw the Doberman to the ground as he answered Flare's question. "Someone who's working for a criminal. I knew he was working for Charm as soon as I saw he was a Doberman. I'm not saying they ALL do horrible things like this, but Charm is well known for hiring dog breeds that're known for being vicious."

"You did good stopping him too Richie." Chase replied with a confident grin, and then he gave a smug grin to the Doberman as he spoke up about his fate. "And as the local police dog, I have the authority to arrest you and take you to the next town over, which is where you'll be getting locked up."

The Doberman was fearing for his life as Chase got onto his back and started arresting him as he spoke up. "Sir, you're under arrest for committing arson on a local apartment complex. (Barks) Handcuffs!" Chase's pup pack launched some handcuffs and he started arresting the Doberman as he read him his miranda rights. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to you. Do you understand these rights?"

The Doberman nodded in response and Chase made him stand up and walk off, and Marshall rubbed Flare's head, proud of the brave, even if reckless good deed, he did just now. Flare knew his act was really sudden and couldn't leave that part unattended to. "I guess you were all shocked by what I did there. And I know I said I wouldn't get in the way."

"Except you didn't get in the way." Marshall reminded Flare, knowing that his act only had good coming out of it. "Getting in the way would mean that you were doing something that was interfering with the mission in a negative way; at least that's how I see it. And I wouldn't call saving a life something bad happening from your interference."

Flare was glad to hear that from Marshall as Ryder kneeled down to him, giving Flare a friendly and proud smile as he spoke to him briefly about the act he made. "I do want to talk to you at the lookout about what you did though. (Flare flinches) I think there are some things worth discussing in regards to it. I'll have Marshall discuss the mission with us too."

Flare became a little worried after hearing that and felt he could use some time to think before he went through with it. "Can I walk to Alex's house with him first?"

"Take your time." Ryder replied, leaving Flare relieved as he and Alex walked off. Marshall then looked to Ryder with concern in his eyes, worrying about both the consequences of Flare's actions, and what would happen with his standing on the team. Ryder was quick to assure him that he didn't have any plans for something out of their favor. "You and Flare will be fine. I just wanna talk how we can help you with your panic attacks, and what Flare can do to help the team." Marshall was glad to hear that. He never wanted for Flare to feel like saving a life wasn't worth it.

Marshall then looked to where Flare and Alex were, smiling at what a pure hearted little brother he had, with Flare and Alex then shown arriving at the restaurant Alex was sitting outside before. "Is this where you live?"

Alex nodded his head yes with a grown male with a mustache walking out the front door and spotting Alex with Flare, and being overjoyed that Alex was okay. This was Mr. Porter, and he sported a blue polo with a gray vest over it, and wore stylish black trousers. He was also the owner of the restaurant Alex lived at. He ran to Alex with glee with Alex running up to him and hugging him. "Alex! I'm so glad you're okay!"

"Me too, Grandpa." Alex then introduced Flare to Mr. Porter once the hug ended, wanting his grandpa to know who saved his life. "Grandpa, this is Flare. He rescued me while the Paw Patrol handled the fire."

Mr. Porter couldn't help but be as grateful as possible for what Flare had done. He also had the feeling that he and Alex were going to be great friends. "You saved my grandson?"

"I just had to untie his shoe." Flare admitted, knowing that the procedure to getting Alex out of there wasn't too complicated. "I just did what Ryder or the Paw Patrol pups would've done." Mr. Porter didn't care about how Flare managed to get Alex out, as all he cared about was that his grandson was safe, and now he couldn't remove his smile even if he wanted to. Flare smiled back, glad that he was able to do some good despite being new in Adventure Bay.

Rock music played as Flare started talking about what was going to happen in the next part as certain moments from the next episode were shown playing. "I've only been here for a day and I already have a new friend! Well, outside of Marshall's new teammates that is. I just hope Ryder isn't upset about me jumping into danger like that. That's so awesome! Don't worry Ryder. Whatever happens, I won't let you down! Wow. So this Charm dude has a lot to answer for. How have I never met people like this before now?"

Flare then finished the announcement as the title of the chapter was shown in all white with Flare on one end, and Marshall on the other. "Next time, A New Beginning Part Three! (Flare is shown to be sitting with Snow as he blushes softly while not knowing why) Here's to the start of many adventures!"
