Paw Patrol X
New Recruits arc Episode five: Adventure Bay
Flare was currently in the Paw Patrol training room and he seemed to be taking on a robot as the two charged at each other. He was struggling a bit, but he managed to pin one of the robots to the ground after low sweeping him, which led to him dodging the punch of another robot. He then grabbed the robot's arm and threw it over his head, which was a technique he got from Snow. Just then however, the other robot grabbed Flare's arm and flipped him over, pinning him to the ground. He was about to punch Flare, who kicked the robot off of him and jumped back up.
The training session ended with a beep, and a screen came down and gave Flare his score, which was a C-. This didn't disappoint Flare, as it meant that he could still work on where he went wrong. He instead hit the reply function on the screen and gave a smiley face emoji, leaving the training room to then turn to Ryder and Marshall, who were watching him, as Ryder gave Flare some tips. "You're getting better Flare. Ya just gotta make sure to focus on BOTH conscious opponents rather than just one."
"I'll keep note of that." Flare replied cheerfully, being excited for the day he would be able to successfully take down two enemies at the same time. "Maybe Snow can help me with that during one of our sparring sessions."
"There's an idea." Marshall chimed in, and then he walked up to his brother and told him about an offer he made with Ryder. This was one that he knew Flare would love. "Also. I talked to Ryder, and we both agreed that it was about time you got to see the entirety of Adventure Bay; or at least the standout locations. After all, it's been two weeks since we moved here."
Flare got excited upon hearing that with Ryder chuckling a bit as he then brought up something else when kneeling down to him. "It may not contribute too much to your desire to see the world, but I I think it'll still be enough to give you an idea on what a normal town is like."
"That'd be awesome!" Flare responded with glee, hugging Marshall and Ryder while being unable to contain his excitement. "Thank you guys so much! I can't wait to see more of Adventure Bay!" Marshall and Ryder smiled as Marshall rubbed Flare's head, knowing he would've liked that from the start. There was always something about trying new things or seeing new places that made Flare beam without struggle. Flare then gave a salute, along with a cute nickname for himself. "Just call me tourist Flare!"
Fire blazed over the screen as moments from the season one were shown and rock music started playing and the one who was playing the guitar started singing Help The World. The first scene that was shown involved Flare watching Chase and Marshall in action during the fire. "There's a team of dogs who never back down from any danger." The scene then changed to Richie shooting at Charm's minions to disarm them, killing one who gets too close to a human. "Their mission is to help people, no matter how minor or major."
The scene then changed to Ryder standing tall as he leads some of the members through what looks like a forest they were sent to for a mission. "The leader Ryder takes these dogs in so they can help in any way they can." The scene then changed to Flare putting the daisy in his flower, just like he did in the third part of the pilot. "A means to prove yourself, or saving them from a bad life, it's all part of his plan!"
Chase comes on screen and is shown bragging proudly about himself as he arrested someone."Chase!" A two second riff played before showing Skye performing a triple backflip and barking to turn on her wings and fly up. "Skye!" A two second riff played before showing Zuma surfing and looking to see if the others were watching him. "Zuma!" A two second riff played before showing Rocky inventing some kind of defense weapon while paying the maximum attention to every detail. "Rocky!" A two second riff played before showing Snow snatching a gun from one of Charm's soldiers as soon as they aim it at her and aiming it back at theim. "Snow!"
A two second riff played before showing Marshall climbing up a ladder to save someone as he breathed to himself while trying desperately to keep his cool. "Marshall!"
"My, bro-ther!"
Flare was then shown to be training in the Paw Patrol lair as he blocked a robot's kicks and punches before kicking his head off. "I may not be a member but I'll be useful however I can!" The scene then changed to Flare holding Snow's paw as the two of them are seemingly running away from something dangerous. "Even if it's a side mission I'll help the world as long as I stand!" The scene then changed to Flare meeting Charm as the Golden Retriever walks over to him with a cold glare and menacing scowl, making Flare back away slowly. "The Paw Patrol is on a roll, no matter how badly the danger's swirled!"
The scene then changed to Flare standing with the Paw Patrol, as Marshall rubs Flare's head, Snow smiles to Flare, Rocky blushes when Zuma gives him a sly grin, Chase gives a wink to Skye, who giggles about the gesture, Richie puts his guns away and looks on with determination, and Ryder crosses his arms and gives a confident smile. "My brother is a member of their team now...(The riff continues for three seconds uninterrupted) and I'm always ready to (Flare gives a cheerful smile and gives a peace sign to the audience with his eyes closed and his eyes giving a teeth smile) help the world."
The riff continued for about five more seconds before slowing down and giving one final riff with the title Paw Patrol X being shown on screen with Paw Patrol in white and the X in red. As soon as the riff slowed down, Flare was shown hanging up a picture that showed exactly what everyone was doing before the song ended, revealing it to have been a group photo.
Flare, Marshall, and Ryder were getting ready as Chase drove up in his police car and skidding to a stop. He seemed quite proud of what he accomplished earlier as he stepped out of his car, making sure the window was rolled up as he sprayed some deodorant onto himself. "Sorry I'm late Ryder sir; I got distracted by my reflection in my rearview mirror on my way home from breakfast, so I couldn't drive until I got over that."
"That's okay." Ryder assured Chase with a smiling eye roll, having been used to this from Chase. He then explained what he was going to do while hopping onto his ATV as Marshall hopped into his fire truck. "I'm gonna be giving Flare and Marshall a tour of Adventure Bay right now, so you can consider this an off day for the team."
Chase tried to think about what he could do, since he was mostly planning on doing patrol today. "The only thing on my mind was patrol to be honest. Do you know if any of the other pups are free?"
Ryder thought about what the other pups were up to and remembered where each and every one of them were at. "Well... Rocky and Zuma are at the movies because Zuma wanted to sneak into an R rated flick, and Snow's off looking for something she said was important, but I think Skye's free. I saw her go upstairs earlier, so she might be available."
Chase became excited upon the thought of Skye being avaialable with Flare then asking Marshall a question as he hopped onto Marshall's fire truck. "You've had a few missions in Adventure Bay already, right Marshall? How big is it?"
"It's pretty big compared to Twin Flame Island." Marshall admitted, and Flare became even more excited with his tail wagging at the thought of seeing every place in Adventure Bay that was possible. This caused Marshall to laugh as he started his engine, knowing that would've gotten Flare's attention. "I knew you'd love that."
Chase waved to Flare and Marshall before heading inside with Ryder letting him know when they'd be back. "We'll be back by lunchtime. Be good until we get back."
"Not a problem Ryder." Chase assured Ryder, and then he went into the Lookout and over to the Elevator, being ready to start having fun with Skye as he then spoke confidently to himself and gave a confident smile. "Maybe she'll even kiss me."
Chase went up the elevator as Flare, Marshall, and Ryder headed out, and when he got to the top, he saw Skye playing some kind of dance pad style video game. He knew quite well what this game was about, and went over to Skye as she beat another high score and pumped her fist with joy. "Yes!"
Chase got a look at the leaderboard and saw that Skye was in the top three scores in the leaderboards. This gave him one thing he could do with Skye right away: Playing Pup Pup Boogie. And he immediately took action. "That's some impressive stuff Skye. You just might beat Zuma's top score yet."
Skye giggled a bit as she made her reply, "I hope so." and then saw an opportunity to play with Chase, which she took action on almost instantly. "You wanna join? I know you're not too much of a gamer, but I think you could get the hang of this, since it was designed specifically for dogs."
"I was about to ask if I could join in anyway. It looks like a fun time." Skye became excited when she heard that and instantly turned on the second dance pad, which was conviniently right next to the one she was using, and got ready as soon as Chase jumped on to play by selecting two players.
Flare, Marshall, and Ryder were driving around Adventure Bay as they made their first stop on the tour: The Mayor's House and Office. The Mayor, who was revealed to be Richie's mother, sported a blue jacket and a purple skirt, and was tending to her garden when she saw Ryder arrive with Flare and Marshall. She as always delighted to have visitors and greeted them happily upon their arrival. "Hello Ryder. I see you brought some friends with you."
"Yep." Ryder hopped out of his ATV with Flare and Marshall hopping out of Marshall's fire truck as Ryder introduced them. "The younger one is Flare, and the older one Marshall, the newest member of the team."
"Ah, I see." Mayor Goodway kneeled down to Flare and Marshall, scratching behind their ears and making them smile widely as their tails wagged. As you could probably tell, Mayor Goodway was a big dog person. "Two more adorable dogs in Adventure Bay. (Looks at Ryder) And is Flare in training to be a Paw Patrol member?"
Ryder confidently confirmed that with a nod and then heard Richie's voice from nearby. "He's got a lot to learn during training for that to happen." Everyone looked to the direction Richie's voice was heard in, and they found Richie reading some kind of battle strategy book as he critiqued Flare's physique. "He has the heart and soul of a hero, I'll give him that. (Closes book shut and looks at Flare) But it's clear he has a lot to learn about this world before he can join them. Your training should hopefully cover his lack of combat experience, which is the other thing he currently lacks."
Marshall then spoke up, feeling that Flare's performance today was a decent start. "Does getting a C- in his combat training start?"
"It does. Let's hope he improves from there." Richie knew that Flare and Marshall could get better, but he couldn't spend too much time critiquing them for their flaws that they needed to work on. Actually, he had something he needed to tell Ryder, and he got started on that before the scene finished. "It's a good thing you showed up now Ryder. (Hands Ryder some kind of island tracking gadget) I found an island with a strong signal of Charm's energy with one of my drones."
The scene then changed to Chase and Skye still playing Pup Pup Boogie, and Chase was shown to be struggling, while Skye was hitting every mark. He was definitely impressed by how well she was doing, and he knew he'd have to give it his all if he wanted to compete with her. When the scoreboards were shown, Chase had quite the terrible score with Skye getting an amazing score. This led to Chase asking how Skye was so good, since he knew she'd played this game quite a lot to have gotten a score so high. "Skye, how did you manage to get a score like that without breaking your streak?"
"I just call out the movements in my head when they come on screen." Skye happily explained, giving a demonstration as she moved her front right paw up, "Right front paw up," and then moved her left hind leg back. "left hind leg back."
Chase did the same movement Skye did and saw it register on the screen. This gave him the idea he needed to get the game down and got excited to try again. "Heck yeah! Now I got it!" Skye was glad to see Chase starting to get the hang of this and started a new round. She knew that they would both get good scores this time and when the two of them started, Chase had the movements down and was keeping up with Skye quite well. "This is how we move it!"
Chase let out a howl with Skye being glad to see that he was enjoying his time with the game as she then thought to herself about this moment. 'This, rocks.' As Skye continued to make her movements, she and Chase both thought about how much fun the two of them were having together and hoped that they would cherish this moment for as long as they could.
Flare, Marshall, and Ryder were now shown to be headed to what looked like the Adventure Bay beach. Flare saw how beautiful it looked with Ryder hopping out of his ATV as Flare and Marshall followed behind him. "I think you can tell what this place is with just one glance. That said, I looked into where you guys used to live before you moved, and I think you'll find that this beach is different from the one in Twin Flame Island."
Flare quickly rushed out onto the beach with Marshall following behind him as Flare got a look around and saw a mermaid-like dog in some kind of containment. This caught his attention and he ran over to find that the dog had a mermaid tail, which made him wonder what it was. As Marshall and Ryder arrived, a human wearing a yellow overalls over a blue collared shirt and a red hat took notice to them and gave them a friendly welcoming. "Ah, hello Ryder! I see my Mer-Pup friend has your friend's attention!"
"Yep. Sure looks like it." Ryder responded, and then he introduced Flare and Marshall to the nice captain. "Flare, Marshall, this is Captain Turbot. Captian Turbot, this is Marshall, our newest member, and Flare, his little brother."
Flare gave his attention to Captain Turbot and greeted him alongside Marshall by waving with him as he spoke up. "Hi!" Flare then got a look at the Mer-Pup again as he asked what it was all about. "What's your name, and do you wanna be friends?" The Mer-pup nodded in response to Flare's question, leaving the puppy confused by that. "Well that's good, but I'll need to know your name so I know what to call you."
"Flare, I think the Mer-Pup is mute." Marshall explained, and then he and Flare saw that the Mer-Pup wrote in the water and revealed that her name was Ocean. Flare took a liking to this name with Marshall pointing it out. "Ocean. That's a pretty name."
Captain Turbot jumped down to discuss some more about Ocean to Flare and Marshall. "Mer-pup's like Ocean are rare species of dogs. I've been working to help Ocean find her family, but it hasn't exactly been easy."
"Sometimes I have Zuma come around to help him with that." Ryder added, and then Flare looked at Ocean again, and Ocean seemed to take a liking to Flare. She couldn't tell what it was, but she saw something in him that some others couldn't quite give her. Ryder, being the observant one that he was, took note of this. "I think she likes you Flare."
Flare took a liking to Ocean as well, hoping that he would get to see her again soon and learn more about Mer-Pups from her. He then got excited to see what else the beach had to offer and hoped it wouldn't seem rude to leave now. "Can I see what else this beach has to offer?" Marshall nodded his head yes with Flare being excited as he ran off while saying goodbye to Captain Turbot and Ocean. "Awesome! Bye Captain Turbot, bye Ocean!"
Marshall and Ryder did the same as they followed Flare with Captain Turbot doing the same as Ocean waved goodbye as well. "See ya around!" Flare then started playing in the sane with Marshall as Marshall tripped and rolled in the sand for a bit. This led to Flare beginning to bury Marshall, which made Marshall laugh as Ryder helped Flare do so, since Marshall didn't seem to mind.
Chase and Skye were still playing Pup Pup Boogie, and this time, they were playing on what looked like the highest difficulty. A signal then came up for the two of them to start spinning on their tails, which they both got on their tails to do and nodded to each other. As they started spinning however, they ended up crashing into each other, due to their own lackluster control of the move. This was then followed up by them rolling for a bit, which ended up with Chase's butt on Skye's face. Skye didn't mind this at first, but as soon as she took notice to this...
(PFFFFFFFFFFT)
Chase accidentally let out a five second fart right onto her face, making her gag as the rotten egg scent from the yellow cloud filled her nostrils. As soon as the scent started to hit Chase's nostrils, he looked down and became horrified when he found out he'd just farted on his love interest's face. He quickly got off of her as she continued coughing and apologized for the incident. "Sorry about that Skye. I probably shouldn't have eaten that second omelet."
"Just give me a warning the next time you're about to fart on my face." Skye joked, leaving Chase relieved that Skye wasn't made about the face full of butt blast she'd just recieved. She was probably the only one he wasn't okay with farting in front of. Well, except for Ryder, but that was only on missions. "Ya wanna go watch Tv?"
"Sure. I'm in a bit of a relaxing mood anyway." Chase answered, and then he and Skye went downstairs with Skye sniffing herself as Chase then joked about her predicament. "Maybe we should take a bath first." Skye then looked at Chase, who flinched. "I mean, not like that. You know what I meant right?" Skye giggled as she nodded her head yes, which made Chase relieved again. "Okay good." Chase and Skye then laughed as they exited the elevator and went to go get Chase's fart scent off of them.
The next place Ryder was taking Flare and Marshall to was shown to be a farm, and they parked right outside to get a look at it. Flare got a good look at the place himself and started to wonder why Twin Flame Island lacked some of the places that Adventure Bay had. "Hey Marshall, how come Twin Flame Island is so small compared to Adventure Bay?" Flare went to elaborate on that as he and Marshall hopped out of the fire truck and went over to the farm with Ryder. "Yeah both places have a beach and an actual town, but some of this stuff feels like Twin Flame Island is missing it."
Marshall knew that Flare's question came from his lack of knowledge on the entire world, and he felt he had a good explanation for that. "Well Flare, every place is unique. I bet you didn't see the docks from Twin Flame Island when you visited Dragon's Hamlet, right?"
Flare didn't recall seeing any docks in Dragon's Hamlet, and could see what Marshall was getting at. After all, what he just said WAS one of the appeals he saw in seeing the world. "Yeah, you're right. Plus if we had a farm in Twin Flame Island then I couldn't discover it here.
"There ya go." Ryder chimed in, and then he looked around and saw a female human wearing farmer's clothes milking a cow in the barn. "There she is. (Walks off) Come on, let's have her get to know you two."
Flare and Marshall followed Ryder, and when they got to the barn, Flare saw a brown horse and became fascinated when he did. "Wow!" Flare's exclimation startled the horse a bit, which he took notice of instantly and attempted to calm the horse down. "Sorry, sorry; you're safe girl; you're safe.." The horse noticed Flare lowering his voice, and the commotion caught the attention of the farmer there, who walked over with a smile as Flare looked at her while petting the horse, who kneeled down to him when she felt safe. "This is a horse?"
"Yep. Pure bred Earth Horse, born and raised in Adventure Bay. A Clydesdale to be exact." Flare became fascinated by the explanation of the horse, depsite the debatably limited context, and then the farmer held out her hand to introduce herself. "I'm Yumi."
Flare shook Yumi's hand while still petting the horse, making Yumi glad to see someone appreciating a fine farm animal such as an Earth Horse. She felt it would be safe to take the time to introduce herself to Marshall, who shook her hand as well. "I'm Marshall. Sorry about my brother Flare. He's never seen a horse in person before."
Yumi got a look at Flare again and saw him struggling to climb up onto the horse. She felt a simple instruction could do the trick. "There's a hook on the saddle." Flare saw the hook and stepped onto it, getting on top of the horse as Yumi looked back at Marshall to respond to what he said about Flare. "He seems to work well with animals. Let's hope he and Genevieve treat each other well." Genevieve started walking slowly with Flare riding him and laughing as Yumi turned her attention to Ryder. "Looks to me like you found yourself a couple new members Ryder."
"Well Flare is still in training." Ryder explained, kneeling down to Marshall and rubbing his head as he spoke up about him. "Marshall here is still struggling to handle intense situations, but he's already proven himself in his application, as well as his drive to progress as a hero, that he's worthy of being on the team."
Yumi had to respect that from Marshall. She was always a fan of hard work. She did want Marshall to keep Flare in his heart though, and felt she could be a sign to remind him of that. "Just don't forget about your brother in the long run. Now some family, they either go bad over time, or were bad people from the start. But I can see you and Flare are among the many who're good, and I'd hate to see that go bad."
Marshall looked over to Flare and spoke up about him as he continued to ride Genevieve while looking at the farm. "He's one of my biggest motivations right now." Flare looked over to the crops where the sun was shining and found the sight to be beautiful. He hoped that this farm would stay healthy for a long time.
Chase and Skye were watching a movie and Skye seemed to be confused with Chase being engaged with what was going on. It was then revealed to be a crime thriller show where the main character looked to be investigating a crime scene, and Skye wasn't getting it. She hoped Chase wouldn't mind that she wasn't into what was going on. "Honestly Chase, I don't get what you see in this."
Chase saw that Skye wasn't getting what the show was about and felt it'd help to explain it a little. "Basically the tensity comes from him investigating for clues, and hoping that he finds the culprit with what he found." Chase then came to a full realization that Skye was starting to get bored. He didn't want that, so he decided to find something that they were both into and grabbed the remote. "And it's pretty obvious that's not your thing. No worries. I've seen this show like, three times in full to prep for season four anyway, so I have the plot memorized into my brain."
Chase started channel surfing to find something that he and Skye were both into, and found a commercial for what looked like a video game similar to Pup Pup Boogie. He decided to stop there and he and Skye listened to what the person running the commercial had to say. "Pup Pup Boogie 2! Comes with a bigger dance pad for your dogs to break down on, even more songs than before, and a new difficulty called Inferno mode! Buy now!"
Chase and Skye slowly looked at each other and Skye took out her phone with an idea in mind, with Chase giving a sly grin as he knew what was coming up. "You wanna throw down in this, don't you." Skye nodded her head yes excitedly and she started the ordering process almost instantly.
Ryder was taking Flare and Marshall to their next location, which was revealed to be Mr. Porter's restaurant. Ryder had a feeling Flare already knew about this place, but he felt he should still know what the local food joint in town is. "I think you've already been here Flare, but this is Mr. Porter's restaurant, where Alex lives." Flare became excited to see Alex again and quickly ran inside, leaving Marshall and Ryder to laugh as they saw this. "Called it."
Flare rushed inside and saw that the place was packed, and as one of the waitress's came up, she politely, but bluntly, told Flare he wasn't supposed to be there. "Sorry dude; the animal dining area is out back."
"Oh, I'm here to see Alex." The waitress gestured Flare to the stairs, much to his gratitude as he went past her, making sure not to knock the balance of the waitress as he thanks her for her help. "Thanks!"
Flare quickly went upstairs and found the door to Alex's room at the end of the hall. It had a bunch of Paw Patrol stickers on it and Flare quickly knocked the door, and when Alex called "Come in!", that was Flare's chance to enter.
Flare quickly opened the door and saw Alex playing video games as he then announced his presence. "Greetings Alex, I have returned!"
Alex paused his game and became beyond excited upon hearing Flare's voice, running over to him as the two of them hugged. "Flare!" Flare and Alex started laughing with Marshall arriving upstairs and smiling as he saw this. He couldn't help but love seeing when Flare made friends with people he liked.
Alex continued playing his game and allowed Flare to watch with Flare taking notice to a boss fight Alex was struggling with. It was revealed to be a fast ninja boss fight with Alex starting to get overwhelmed. "Man, I love this game, but they did NOT hold back on this boss fight."
Flare had taken notice to how much Alex was struggling and thought he could lend him a paw. "Can I give it a go?" Alex felt there was nothing to lose by letting Flare play, so he handed him the controller after pausing as Flare gave a briefing on what he had to do. "Viola is easy. You just gotta do this." Flare unpaused the game and made a parry with his sword after switching styles and then wailed on the boss fight with a plethara of sword combos, rinse and repeat. This amazed Alex, especially since Flare wasn't taking any damage when dodging and parrying attacks.
"How are you so good at this!?"
"I've beaten this game at least three times now. I'm currently on Heaven or Hell mode."
Flare ended up defeating the boss, since Alex was almost done with it, but was out of health items when Flare took over. Alex was grateful for this and hi fived Flare as he thanked him. "Thanks Flare! Now I'm one step closer to finishing this game!"
"Not a problem." Flare assured Alex with a cheerful smile, and then he watched some more as Alex moved onto the next level.
Chase and Skye were shown to be looking at Chase's phone as it was then shown they were looking at their pre-order for Pup Pup Boogie 2. "Okay, so the game doesn't come out until late September, so we can just use that as an excuse to say we were looking for an early birthday present for Zuma."
"Yeah, that could work." Skye then got a look at the price and that it was a full 60, which caught her off guard a bit. "Yeeesh. I can see why they hid the price in the commercial."
"And now we can track them down and I can arrest them for flawed advertisement." Chase jokingly replied, and Skye laughed a bit before Chase heard some cars pulling up and saw who it was. "Guess Ryder's back with Flare and Marshall."
Ryder, Flare, and Marshall came in with a bunch of food as Chase and Skye instantly ran over when they came in. Ryder put the food down instantly, knowing that Chase was about to jump into his arms, and he caught him and allowed him to start licking him. This of course made Ryder laugh and smile. "Hi to you too Chase." Ryder set Chase down and scratched behind his ear as he then showed him and Skye the food they brought. "We brought some food from Mr. Porter's restaurant, since that was the last stop of Flare's tour around Adventure Bay."
Chase and Skye loved the sound of that as everyone then noticed Flare sneaking a corn dog, which he eat instantly, leading to a pun from Marshall that caught everyone's attention. "Careful Flare. Take too much food before the others get back and you just might become a glutton for punishment."
"Marshall!"
Everyone in the room laughed with Flare getting a look at some of the boxes and seeing that they were labeled. This caught his attention. And when he got a whiff of a box that said 'Zuma' on it, he instantly saw why. The box had something super spicy, and it was something that led to a question from him. "Is Zuma into spicy food like this?"
"Yeah, he's all about daring escapades." Skye explained, and then she warned Flare and Marshall about something from an experience she had. "Oh, and birds don't like spicy food. I gave hot sauce to a bluebird one time, and I managed to save him, but he hated it.
Flare and Marshall darted eyes, but then looked back at Skye as they replied in sync. "Noted." The two of them were still trying to wrap their head around some of the things Skye does.
The Paw Patrol were then shown eating their lunch as Flare struck a conversation with Snow, being interested in that thing Ryder said she was looking for. "So Snow, Ryder said you were looking for something before we started our tour. (Snow looks at Flare) What exactly were you looking for."
"It's kind of a private thing." Snow explained to Flare, hoping he'd understand that she wasn't ready to talk to him about it in detail yet.
Flare hoped that Snow was okay, being ready to help her if it were serious. "Okay. But if you want my help, I'm here." Snow was glad to hear that, having expected that kind of response from Flare from the start.
Zuma was talking to Ryder, hoping to get a lead on the base Richie told him about, since he brought it up before lunch so the pups knew about it. "So Wyder. You may need a mode of transpowtation to take the other pups and Wichie to the base. Maybe a... Chocolate Labrador with a speech impediment and water twavel vehicles?"
Ryder chuckled a bit, having a feeling that Zuma was gonna wanna be involved with this mission. Luckily for him, Ryder did have plans for him. "I was gonna ask you to take care of that anyway. (Zuma pumps his fist) Just make sure to be careful when you get on the island."
"You got it Wyder." Zuma assured Ryder, and then he turned his attention to Rocky, who was currently eating a chili cheese dog. "And I know sneaking into that base will be an even gweater challenge than sneaking into that movie."
Rocky blushed softly as he remembered the method that he and Zuma used to get into that movie theater. Zuma took notice to this, and Rocky smiled as he responded to what he said. "Yeah. No way a taller person disguise is gonna work on THIS one."
Flare was gobbling down on a double fillet chicken burger with cheese and bacon and finding every ingredient used in it perfectly. "You can really taste the hint of lemon Mr. Porter put into this thing. I bet his regular chicken tastes as good as this chicken burger does."
Flare's advanced palette caught the attention of Chase, who felt he could use that for future missions if Flare was up for it. He hoped that he wasn't being too hasty about this, since he knew that anyone could identify lemon taste with the right palette. "You used to identifying a lot of ingredients Flare?"
"Yeah, I guess you could say that." Flare answered, taking another bite of his chicken burger before continuing. "I guess it's something that came with my love for food."
Chase was about to make a request for Flare as Marshall then gave him a death stare, knowing exactly what was about to happen. "No, Flare isn't going to help you with tasting poison. At least not until he's a member." Chase chuckled a bit as he then nodded in response before getting back to eating his food, which was a slice of bacon and olive pizza. Marshall then thought about the mission himself and hoped he wouldn't be asking too rashly as he looked at Ryder and just spoke up. "Can I come on the mission too?"
Marshall's request caught everyone's attention, mainly due to his struggle with handling pressure. That's why Ryder was skeptical to let him go, as he wanted to help Marshall, but he knew Charm wouldn't make this easy for him just because he was new. "You sure you can handle it?"
"No, I'm not." Marshall admitted, showing that he was ready to try the best he could with this, both to improve his pressure handling skills, and to help his team. "But I won't know until I try." Ryder had to smile upon hearing that. He could always respect it when someone refused to give up and work to become the best they can be.
Soft piano music started playing as the night sky was shown with the scene then descending to the cliff at the edge of the Paw Patrol lookout's standing as Flare walked over to it. Flare then sat down and looked at the stars as he thought about the pups in the Paw Patrol with a female voice singing Risks Worth Taking. He first thought about Snow. "This world has so much in it, that I have yet to see. And I have to be ready for how to act upon it, whatever it may be. (Flare starts thinking about Chase) I've made so many great friends, since I came to Adventure Bay. And when I start to help with missions, that will certainly be my day."
The song continued as Flare started to think about Rocky. "When things get good, and when they get bad, I hope they know that I have their back. There will be times where I make mistakes, but I'll work to get back on track. (Flare starts thinking about Zuma) There's no such thing as a chosen one, or any of that destiny stuff. I have to work to help this world, and that doesn't mean I get all buff."
Flare then started thinking about Skye as the song continued. "If I fall down, I'll just get right back up, and I'll prove to them that I'm a strong pup; and that I won't let the danger I face make me freeze and start shaking." Marshall then came up to Flare as the song continued and sat down next to him and rubbed his head. "And even if there are times when I struggle, I knooow..." Flare then yawned with Marshall smiling as he went back home with him to get him ready for bed. "that there are risks worth taking."
The title Paw Patrol X was shown with Paw Patrol being in all white and the X being in red as the last notes played and the daisy in Flare's right ear is shown laying on the X.
