Paw Patrol X

New Recruits arc Episode six: The True Threat of Charm

The day after the Paw Patrol got news on the Charm base that Richie found, Chase, Marshall, Zuma, and Richie, set out to infiltrate it and learn more about Charm's plans. Richie, Chase, and Zuma were already well familiar with what Charm was like, but Marshall had only gotten info on him from the briefing Ryder gave him and Flare. Chase took notice to Marshall's look of concern and didn't want him to feel as if he was obligated to come. He knew that this would be a big step for him, and didn't want to rush him. "You sure you're okay with doing this?"

Marshall nodded his head yes as he tried to stay confident. He knew he needed to know more about Charm so he could prepare for future encounters with him, and this was the first opportunity he got for that. He just hoped he wouldn't end up freezing in front of him. "I'm hoping I can at least avoid freezing in front of Charm. And even if I do, I'll still get a good idea of what he's about in person, and prepare for when we meet him again after we get what we need."

Chase saw Marshall's point, but still wanted him to feel comfortable on this mission. He took out a pistol and handed it to Marshall, who put it away as Chase spoke up. "You know how to use this?"

"Kinda." Marshall admitted, hoping he wouldn't have to use this gun on anyone. He knew this mission was supposed to be an info retrieval mission, and he didn't want to screw it up. "I've never fired at a living being before."

Chase took note of that with Zuma speaking up from the front as he commented on Marshall's skills. "Just twy to keep up with me and you'll be okay. (Gives a smug grin) Of course, that'll be hawd to pull off, so-"

"Save it for later Zuma." Richie interrupted, knowing that Zuma's bragging wouldn't be helpful. Marshall breathed in through his nose and out from his mouth, hoping that he wouldn't panic like he did during the arsonist attack.

Fire blazed over the screen as moments from the season one were shown and rock music started playing and the one who was playing the guitar started singing Help The World. The first scene that was shown involved Flare watching Chase and Marshall in action during the fire. "There's a team of dogs who never back down from any danger." The scene then changed to Richie shooting at Charm's minions to disarm them, killing one who gets too close to a human. "Their mission is to help people, no matter how minor or major."

The scene then changed to Ryder standing tall as he leads some of the members through what looks like a forest they were sent to for a mission. "The leader Ryder takes these dogs in so they can help in any way they can." The scene then changed to Flare putting the daisy in his flower, just like he did in the third part of the pilot. "A means to prove yourself, or saving them from a bad life, it's all part of his plan!"

Chase comes on screen and is shown bragging proudly about himself as he arrested someone."Chase!" A two second riff played before showing Skye performing a triple backflip and barking to turn on her wings and fly up. "Skye!" A two second riff played before showing Zuma surfing and looking to see if the others were watching him. "Zuma!" A two second riff played before showing Rocky inventing some kind of defense weapon while paying the maximum attention to every detail. "Rocky!" A two second riff played before showing Snow snatching a gun from one of Charm's soldiers as soon as they aim it at her and aiming it back at theim. "Snow!"

A two second riff played before showing Marshall climbing up a ladder to save someone as he breathed to himself while trying desperately to keep his cool. "Marshall!"

"My, bro-ther!"

Flare was then shown to be training in the Paw Patrol lair as he blocked a robot's kicks and punches before kicking his head off. "I may not be a member but I'll be useful however I can!" The scene then changed to Flare holding Snow's paw as the two of them are seemingly running away from something dangerous. "Even if it's a side mission I'll help the world as long as I stand!" The scene then changed to Flare meeting Charm as the Golden Retriever walks over to him with a cold glare and menacing scowl, making Flare back away slowly. "The Paw Patrol is on a roll, no matter how badly the danger's swirled!"

The scene then changed to Flare standing with the Paw Patrol, as Marshall rubs Flare's head, Snow smiles to Flare, Rocky blushes when Zuma gives him a sly grin, Chase gives a wink to Skye, who giggles about the gesture, Richie puts his guns away and looks on with determination, and Ryder crosses his arms and gives a confident smile. "My brother is a member of their team now...(The riff continues for three seconds uninterrupted) and I'm always ready to (Flare gives a cheerful smile and gives a peace sign to the audience with his eyes closed and his eyes giving a teeth smile) help the world."

The riff continued for about five more seconds before slowing down and giving one final riff with the title Paw Patrol X being shown on screen with Paw Patrol in white and the X in red. As soon as the riff slowed down, Flare was shown hanging up a picture that showed exactly what everyone was doing before the song ended, revealing it to have been a group photo.

Charm was revealed to be on the island around the time Marshall and the others arrived, and he was currently watching over his soldiers as they prepared their defenses around the base. "And if these defenses end up being easy for the Paw Patrol to break through, I'll have you all tortured in whatever way I want. I won't bother with the details." As Charm threatened his soldiers, Trickery came over to him and handed him some kind of tracking device, and it showed that the Paw Patrol were on the island, much to his annoyance. "Oh great. They couldn't wait at least one more day?"

"I could dispose of them if you wish." Trickery offered. He seemed to be quite flamboyant and bloodthirsty, and also admired Charm to a tee. "I'd despise seeing the outcome if they arrived too soon."

"Thank you Trickery, but it wouldn't be any fun using my best soldier right away." Charm pointed out, since he knew Marshall was unaware of what he could do at the moment. "If I'm going to rule everywhere, I might as well have fun with it. (Walks off) It's better than a rushed redemption arc anyway." Charm went over to four soldiers playing darts and spoke coldly as he addressed them. "Level one soldiers!" The soldiers looked at Charm, who gave him their orders instantly after. "You will show that new Paw Patrol member that even my weakest members are worth fearing."

The soldiers nodded and ran off with Trickery walking up to Charm and pulled out an Ace of Hearts. "Is this your card?"

Charm looked at the card and couldn't help but give a sly grin as he happily accepted it. "No, but thank you anyway."

A few minutes after Marshall and the others arrived, they were heading for Charm's base as Richie was tracking it and Marshall showed concern about what would be waiting for them. He felt it wouldn't hurt to ask Chase, since he figured everyone in the Paw Patrol had encountered Charm at least once by this point. He just hoped his timing wasn't off. "Hey Chase? (Chase looks at Marshall) Everyone on the team has met Charm before, right? What has he done before I joined?"

Chase couldn't bare to think about everything Charm had done, so he decided to just stick with the first one off the top of his head. "He once attacked an entire city and left about ninety percent of it to ruins." Marshall became horrified when he heard about that as Chase noticed his fear. "Sorry; I should've picked something easier."

"No; you're good." Marshall assured Chase, still believing that this was a good opportunity to see what Charm was like for himself. Even if he got hurt in battle, he at least knew he'd know what to expect next time. "All I heard about Charm was what Ryder told me and Flare, and that's why I came on this mission. And even if I freeze in front of him, at least I'll be able to warn Flare about him so he knows what to expect. This could help me to protect him better"

Chase saw Marshall's point, smiling at the fact that Marshall was still looking out for his younger brother. "I knew Ryder made the right decision when recruiting you."

"Obviously, since he also got a B in combat training the other day after lunch." Zuma pointed out, and then he playfully punched Marshall and jabbed at his lackluster pressure handling skills, while not intending on hurting his feelings, and also showing his own confidence in himself. "Just twy to be more like me on the battlefield, and less like someone who can't think stwaight."

Marshall chuckled nervously upon hearing that, and Chase annoyingly signaled Zuma to cut the bragging part of his advice, just as Richie sensed something nearby. As soon as he sensed it, he got the sense of danger, and knew he couldn't take any chances. He quickly reached for a throwing knife and threw it where he sensed danger. "Over there!" Marshall, Chase, and Zuma quickly became alerted as the soldier rushed out and charged at Richie, who quickly kicked him into a tree and pinned him against it with his gun. "Nice try. Now explain why you're here."

Just then, one of the other soldiers Charm sent lunged at Zuma, who blocked his kick and got sent back, alerting Chase and Marshall. "Zuma!" Luckily, Zuma was able to regain his balance and start fighting the soldier, who put up a formidable challenge as Zuma ducked underneath his kick and aimed two punches at him, only for the soldier to block them with his palms. As the two of them continued fighting, the other two soldiers came out in front of Chase and Marshall, leaving Marshall to flinch with fear.

Chase instantly noticed the fear that plagued Marshall's eyes and kicked both soldiers, sending one back as the other one blocked his other kick. Marshall had never been in the middle of combat before, but he knew that he couldn't let his fear overtake him. As Chase kept the other soldier busy, Marshall pinned him to the ground and started punching him, only for the soldier to take out a needle and attempt to slash at him with it, which led to Marshall freezing again. The soldier took advantage of that and kicked Marshall off of him and then ran over to him.

Chase elbowed the soldier to the ground as he then noticed Marshall was in trouble, "Marshall!", rushing over to him with determination to save him. Marshall on the other hand could barely move as he got up with Chase pinning the other soldier to the ground. Richie was thankfully still active and after knocking out the last soldier brutally, he rushed over to the soldier Chase was fighting and kicked him to the ground before shooting his back. After Chase kicked the other soldier to the side, he checked on Marshall, was was starting to breathe heavily again. "Stay with me Marshall; it's gonna be okay!"

Zuma was currently fending off against his soldier and attempted to fight back, but he was pinned to the ground and was trying to hold his knife back. "Take the knife ya little punk!" Zuma suddenly spit into the soldier's eye, making him hold it with pain as Zuma then kicked him off.

Chase was still trying to help Marshall, who saw all the battling going on and was finding it to be too much for him to take. He suddenly ran off, filling Chase with fear as he knew what was going to happen. "Marshall!"

Just as Marshall tried to run into the woods, the last remaining soldier appeared in front of him and startled him as he grabbed his neck and pulled out a poison needle. "Where ya goin' brat?" The soldier then stabbed Marshall's right paw with a needle, and as Marshall shouted in pain, the soldier started to taunt him. "Just wait for the poison to-"

Just then, Chase shot the soldier in the knee, which led to Richie shooting him in the face as he spoke to the other soldier. "Tell us where Charm's base is now, or you die."

Zuma then stabbed the throat of the soldier he was fighting, ripping the knife out of his throat when he was done and walking away as he shuddered at the thought of death. "Ya never get over it when you realize how some of these people go. And that was just level one." Zuma laughed in regards to the soldiers he and the others just fought against as Chase was checking Marshall's poison wound with Marshall feeling awful for what he was about to do as he leanred against the tree, making Zuma concerned as he got a look at it. "Hey; you okay?"

Marshall looked at his poison wound as Chase tried to find the right cure for it with Marshall beating himself up for almost running away from the battle. He couldn't believe he'd been such a coward in that instance. He joined the Paw Patrol to help people, not run when things got hard. "I'm sorry." Richie came over to Marshall and pulled out something to help with the poison, knowing that what happened had eaten him up inside. "I don't even know why I ran like that. I just...panicked."

Richie knew that the battle coming out of nowhere was part of why Marshall's anxiety triggered. He knew it wasn't a good excuse for running off, but Marshall needed all the comfort he could get right now. "That battle popped right out from under us." Richie started treating Marshall's wound as he assured him that this wouldn't ruin his standing with the team. "I think we should keep you from the battles for now though. (Marshall flinches) I'm not saying you should head back to the boat, but Charm is much worse than those guys. He could-"

Marshall, out of nowhere, grabbed one of Richie's throwing knives from his vest and jumped forward, stunning everyone as he then stabbed his poisoned paw in front of them. His action shocked them, needless to say, and as he did this, he vented about how he almost abandoned them the moment things got too scary for him. "I almost ran away from this battle, knowing that these guys weren't hesitating to kill us. (Starts to tear up) That's even worse than freezing up. At least I'm still at the battle then."

Zuma was about to speak up, but Chase put a paw on his shoulder and simply nodded his head no. Zuma read this as a sign that he should let Marshall finish. Richie took notice to this as well, and he could see how much remorse Marshall gianed from that one action. "And the fact that you guys still want to help me afterwards proves to me that you don't deserve that." Marshall looked down at his paw as he continued to talk about what he almost did. "You guys showed me kindness, and I almost screwed you because of my own selfish instincts acting up."

Marshall obviously wasn't acting the way he did out of selfish action. He just wasn't thinking straight. But Marshall knew that wasn't an excuse for what he did. "I'll never run away again." Nothing was. And he was ready to fix that, no matter that. "Even if I freeze up during battle again, I'll still do everything I can to work on thinking clearly in tense situations. I know it won't be easy, but I'm ready for it, even if sometimes it looks like I'm not." And his battle cry confirmed this as he looked at the others and announced his callout. "I'm fired up!"

Marshall's callout echoed through the sky, and he pulled out the throwing knife as soon as he was finished, taking the poison out without hesitation. Chase was already aware of this, but this proved to Richie that deep down, Marshall was as brave as the rest of them; and the fact that he was willing to work on not freezing anymore during intense pressure moments proved to him that Marshall could stay. He went over to him, started patching up his wound, and gave him a smile, which surprised Chase and Zuma a little. "Just keep in mind that I can't let you battle with a broken paw."

Marshall saw that Richie was starting to believe in him; not that he thought Richie doubted him mind you. He smiled and nodded, wiping away the tears in his eyes after having noticed that he almost started crying, and Zuma looked at Chase with a proud nod. Chase then nodded back, knowing that Zuma was staritng to see what he saw in Marshall as well. Although Marshall almost committed a cowardice act in the heat of the moment, the three members he was with knew that Marshall wasn't a coward. Deep down...he was a hero.

Richie and the others continued heading for Charm's base as Marshall looked hard at the wounded paw. He was now using this as a sign of motivation, and was more determined than ever to stop himself from constantly freezing under pressure. Chase took notice to the rare serious look Marshall gave and decided to compliment him on what he'd gotten out of Richie. "It takes a lot to make Richie smile towards you this early. He must like you."

Marshall looked at Richie, seeing that he was focused on finding Charm's base now, and his radar said they were almost there. Marshall smiled in response. He saw that Richie respected him now. He just hoped that he could keep it. "He seems alright to me."

Richie's radar went off as he pointed out to the others that they were there. "Save the small talk about me for later. We're here."

Richie moved the bush to a degree where everyone could see through it, but they couldn't be seen by anyone else, and they saw Charm's base standing right in front of them. After getting a look around and scanning the tower with another device, he saw that there was a way they could get into Charm's room instantly: The window to the top floor. But it was too close, and they'd need a diversion. "That's one of the ways some of us can come in. But we can't all reach that point. Two of us will have to use the front door."

Everyone tried to think of a way to get into the building Marshall saw a nearby guard and got an idea. "Guys. I think I got something."

Charm was watching everything over the monitors and saw the pups bring one of his guards behind the bush, and that quickly alerted him. As he was about to make the call however, he then saw guard with his hat covering his eyes. Luckily for them, the guard they snatched the costume from was a Dalmatian, and Marshall was the perfect fit for it. As Marshall and whoever was underneath him walked onward, Charm spoke up in the monitors. "Everyone!"

The sound of Charm's voice caught Marshall off guard and he almost yipped with fear, but was thankfully able to keep it in as Charm spoke. "There could very well be some Paw Patrol members lurking around! If you spot them, kill them without hesitation, or bring them to me!" Marshall gulped upon hearing that, and before one of the actual guards could speak up, he signaled whoever was underneath him to move closer to the front door. Zuma was then shown to be the one under Marshall and was about to speak up before Marshall did something he didn't anticipate.

(PFFFFFT)

...A moldy cheese fart with a green clousd was launched from Marshall's butt and directly into Zuma's face. This caused Zuma to cough and gag as he commented on how bad Marshall's gas smelt while wafting it away. "Dude, what did you eat this mowning?"

"Sorry." Marshall responded while blushing, hoping that he didn't just blow their cover. "Sometimes I fart when I'm nervous."

"Noted." Zuma snarked as Marshall was about to open a door, heading on inside to continue with the mission. "Next time, I'm on top."

"Deal." Marshall replied, knowing that he owed Zuma after busting one on him without warning. Luckily, Zuma was a chill and laid back dog, so he quickly got over that.

Marshall and Zuma arrived at Charm's room after about ten minutes, since it was a big mansion, and they had this tracking device for Charm that was given to him and Zuma. He put it away and before going into the room, Zuma whispered to him from below. "Mawshall, wait." Marshall put his paw on the door handle, but didn't go in, letting Zuma say what was on his mind. "Will you be okay for this? Chawm is pretty sick. And not the good kind either."

Marshall looked at the stab wound he made on his paw to boost his confidence before making his reply. He knew he couldn't run away again, and he didn't plan on doing so. "If I'm not, and I forget what I promised myself, I'm trusting you guys to remind me." Zuma took note of that with Marshall opening the door and addressing Charm. "Charm sir!"

"Cut the formalities Hydrant; Charm will do." Marshall nodded in response and closed the door behind him with Charm stepping out of his chair and walking over to him. This surprised Marshall, and Zuma got a good look at what was happening, quickly hiding his face when Charm looked down to where he was. Charm gave Marshall a devilish grin as he looked up at him, and this alone was enough to make him sweat with fear. This led to Charm speaking coldly as he addressed Marshall. "Nice to meet you. Marshall."

Before Marshall could react, Charm kicked Zuma out from underneath him and grabbed Marshall's paw, slamming him into the ground over his shoulder at the same time Zuma crashed into the wall. Charm then stomped onto Marshall's chest before kicking him to the side, causing him to roll on the ground as Zuma then attempted to punch Charm, who kneed him in the stomach as soon as he dodged it. Marshall was about to rush Charm, but he suddenly froze with fear again, which Charm took notice to as he roundhouse kicked Zuma to the right and sent him to the ground.

Charm couldn't help but let out a sinister grin and chuckle as he pointed out Marshall's inability to move. "Of course Ryder would hire a sad sack like you. He only ever recruits weak sad saps who doubt even being able to (Takes a step forward) move." Marshall flinched as Charm stepped forward, and as Charm moved closer to him, his fear grew bigger and bigger by the minute. "If you cower in fear to a Golden Retriever, then I don't know what to tell you." Marshall's fear grew at it's greatest as Charm grabbed him by his chest and looked into his eyes with visible sadism. The next thing Charm said hit him hard.

"Well, other than he simply took pity on you."

Charm allowed that to sink in for a moment, but before Marshall could even start to tear up, Charm headbutted him and sent him to the ground. Zuma tried to help him, but Charm kicked him towards the wall, causing Marshall to cry out "Zuma!", before Charm stepped onto his chest and kneeled down to his face. Chase arrived at the top of Charm's window just as Charm punched Marshall's face into the ground. This made Chase furious as Charm then looked up and noticed him, since the window was right in front of him. Chase didn't hesitate in jumping down to fight him.

Chase knew he was outmatched, but he couldn't just stand there and let Marshall and Zuma take the beating. Richie arrived right as Charm fought against Charm, being able to hold him off for a few seconds before Charm kicked his back and sent him rolling away. This led to Richie lunging at him from the window and slashing at him with his sword, which he dodged before Richie gave a look to Chase, who instantly knew what to do as he ran for Charm's computer.

Charm was about to run for his computer, but Richie stopped him with him and Charm trading blows as quickly and as hard as they could. Chase managed to snap a picture of what Charm had in one of his files, and it was shown to be some kind of prison fortress. This was alerting to Chase. Why would Charm need a prison? Then he realized, wait; it was Charm. Marshall saw that even Richie was struggling to keep up with Charm, and although he was able to take his blows much better, he was still struggling to get any hits in, as Charm kept dodging him perfectly.

Chase sent the picture to Ryder from his phone, leaving Charm to snatch Richie's sword, which he was using to fight against him, and threw it at Chase. Chase was able to dodge it, and he threw his phone into the air to prevent it from getting broken, but Marshall wasn't faring too well. He started to panic again and started hyperventilating, instantly catching Zuma's attention as he ran over to Marshall. Zuma knew what he had to do, and he kneeled down to Marshall before slapping him once on both sides of his face to keep him in the game. "Snap out of it!"

Marshall snapped out of his trance and got a look at Charm's computer, realizing that he could at least delay his plans if he broke it. Chase ran over to Marshall and was glad to see him back in the game, but he knew that Richie was the only one who stood a chance against Charm. He just hoped they could escape in time. "Alright, we got what we need; let's run while we can."

"No, not yet!" Marshall ran off as soon as he said that, alerting the others as he barked "Hose, then spray!", and his hose came out, causing Charm to notice and kick Richie back before rushing over to his computer. He couldn't quite reach it in time however, and it started short circuiting, much to Charm's anger. "Yes!" However, he failed to notice that Chase's phone was nearby, and the explosion affected his phone and caused it to short out. Apparently it'd landed close enough to Charm's computer to cause it to join in said explosion after it went off.

Chase then gave a face palm as he realized that he forgot to pick his phone back up with Marshall worrying about the outcome of his mistake. "Aw crap."

Charm clenched his fist as he glared at Marshall, charging at him as he started to threaten him. "You'd better have a good excuse for me not to-" Just then, a bullet went right ahead of Charm, and Richie took out a smoke bomb and set it off in front of him. This gave everyone enough time to escape as Charm took out a walkie talkie and spoke to his guards to give them their command. "Stop them you lazy slackers! And get someone to fix my computer!"

As Marshall and the others were escaping, the guards surrounded them and aimed their guns at the group. "Freeze!" As the lead guard was giving his command, Richie reacted quickly and snapped his fingers, causing some kind of barrier to surround him and the others.

Marshall was surprised by this with Richie running off after telling the others what to do. "Run! Escaping is our top priority now!" Richie and the others ran off with the guards noticing that his barrier was preventing them from hurting any of the Paw Patrol. This caused them to panic, as they knew what Charm would do to them if they realized what'd happened.

Zuma and the others were heading back home as Chase was shown to be face palming over how he forgot to pick his phone up before running over to Marshall to escape. "Stupid, stupid, stupid!" Chase stopped face palming as he continued to vent about making such a simple mistake. "Now what if Ryder didn't get the photo? Then he won't be able to analyze the location in it and we won't be getting any closer to finding his main base."

"We still know of the building's existence." Richie pointed out, knowing that Chase had to have gotten a good look at the building when he took the picture. "And even so, you three did good today. There was some struggle, and obviously Charm was still too much for us to handle, but we at least have an idea as to where his main base is now."

Chase and Zuma were glad to hear that as Zuma then boasted about his performance. "Yeah, I knew I'd do well. I pwetty much aced the mission."

"Zuma, you barely managed to beat one level one guard." Chase pointed out, and then Zuma shrugged as Chase then noticed Marshall contemplating on what Charm said to him. "You okay Marshall?"

Marshall wasn't okay, at least mentally. In fact, he was scared about what Charm, and that his words could've taken him back to square one. "Did Ryder pick me out of pity?"

Chase flinched with shock when Marshall said that. He knew that had to be Charm ripping into him mentally. Hoping he'd find the right words, he decided to offer him his support and encouragement. "To be honest Marshall, I'm not even entirely sure he picked ME for my skill." Marshall looked at Chase with a surprised look on his face, with Chase instantly took notice to. "But that doesn't matter. All I know is that I was the first member of the team, and I eventually grew to be the canine leader the Paw Patrol needed for missions where Ryder isn't present."

Marshall was still doubting himself as Chase reminded him that no one on the team was perfect. "You're not the only one who screwed up today either. Don't forget; I forgot to pick my Pup-Phone back up when running over to you and that got it caught in the explosion. And I still don't know if Ryder got the photo or not." Marshall looked at Chase, who smiled as he finished what he was saying. "No one's perfect, and no one has to be perfect. Just give it your all, and believe in yourself."

Marshall looked at the paw he stabbed and inspected the wound closely. He started to remember why he did that as he did that and tried to push what Charm said out of his mind. He then started to think about Flare. He couldn't let his younger brother fall victim to whatever Charm's plan could be. He looked at Chase and put his paws on both of his shoulders as he spoke up, hoping Chase would understand where he was coming from. "If it's possible, don't let Flare meet, or even SEE Charm in person, until he's officially a member of the Paw Patrol."

Chase saw where Marshall was coming from and couldn't deny this request. He knew that the last thing Marshall wanted was for Flare to get hurt; especially since he originally wasn't even supposed to join him in Adventure Bay. And meeting Charm too soon could be scarring for him. He gave a determined nod to Marshall, knowing that he knew what was best for Marshall better than anyone. "Okay. I promise. (Grabs Marshall's right paw with his left paw) And in addition to that, if you're not around, and Charm is, I'll do everything I can to keep him from Flare."

Marshall smiled with gratitude towards Chase's promise as the two shook paws on this promise. Emphasis was put on Marshall's stabbed paw when this happened, indicating that part of the promise had to do with the promise he made to stop panicking and running away from danger. This promise led to Chase and Marshall seeing that they would be good friends for a long time.

Three days later...

The fortress that was shown in the was revealed to be in a location far from Adventure Bay: Prison City (I couldn't think of anything good lol). Charm was shown to be walking through the prison as he passed by some of the cells on the top floor, one consisting of a grizzly bear, and one consisting of a unicorn. The unicorn attempted to stab Charm with his horn, but Charm was unfazed and looked disinterested, and simply stopped as soon as this happened. He didn't even dart his eyes. He simply turned and saw the sharpness of the unicorn's horn before taking out an apple.

Most would think Charm was going to feed this apple to the unicorn as a peace offering, at least if they didn't know who Charm was. But nope! He jammed the apple onto the unicorn's horn, hurting the horn immensely as Charm looked directly at the unicorn while doing this and not even blinking. Charm then walked up to the unicorn and punched him smack in the face, causing him to crash into the wall. He then took a moment to speak to the unicorn about how long it took him to get back. "I didn't mean to wait on that. I'll be quicker and more brutal next time; I promise."

After this, he walked over to the next cell and spoke to who was inside, who he was delighted to see. "I'm back." The cellmate was unresponsive, leaving Charm to give a sadistic grin as he pointed out what was happening. "Geez, three days of me being gone and you really develop that silent treatment. I'll give you the first shot Everest. Give me that sexy tough girl action I love."

This cell holder was revealed to be a Husky, one who looked about Marshall's age and charged at the cell bars, grabbing them and growling in Charm's face. This caught his attention. Everest was actually willing to fight as opposed to taking an easy victory, which was something that always entertained him. He could see the appeal of both, but he couldn't deny how much more he liked the fighting back option. "Still as feisty as ever I see. It's too bad your sister will be too dead by the time you see her again." Everest gave a heavy glare to Charm, who simply looked her in the eyes and gave a sinister laugh.

Charm then stopped laughing and walked off, but not before giving Everest one final word. "Bored." Charm then spoke to himself about how rowdy Everest has been since she arrived. "One whole year and she's still not getting the hint." Charm then took out his phone and got a good look at the Paw Patrol, hoping that his cold words to Marshall managed to break him as much as he'd hoped it did.

Soft piano music started playing as the night sky was shown with the scene then descending to the cliff at the edge of the Paw Patrol lookout's standing as Flare walked over to it. Flare then sat down and looked at the stars as he thought about the pups in the Paw Patrol with a female voice singing Risks Worth Taking. He first thought about Snow. "This world has so much in it, that I have yet to see. And I have to be ready for how to act upon it, whatever it may be. (Flare starts thinking about Chase) I've made so many great friends, since I came to Adventure Bay. And when I start to help with missions, that will certainly be my day."

The song continued as Flare started to think about Rocky. "When things get good, and when they get bad, I hope they know that I have their back. There will be times where I make mistakes, but I'll work to get back on track. (Flare starts thinking about Zuma) There's no such thing as a chosen one, or any of that destiny stuff. I have to work to help this world, and that doesn't mean I get all buff."

Flare then started thinking about Skye as the song continued. "If I fall down, I'll just get right back up, and I'll prove to them that I'm a strong pup; and that I won't let the danger I face make me freeze and start shaking." Marshall then came up to Flare as the song continued and sat down next to him and rubbed his head. "And even if there are times when I struggle, I knooow..." Flare then yawned with Marshall smiling as he went back home with him to get him ready for bed. "that there are risks worth taking."

The title Paw Patrol X was shown with Paw Patrol being in all white and the X being in red as the last notes played and the daisy in Flare's right ear is shown laying on the X.
