Paw Patrol X
New Recruits arc Episode fourteen: Kinda Lost In Dragon's Hamlet
It was around breakfast time at the Paw Patrol lookout; and as usual, Marshall was sleeping. This time however, as he was shown sleeping in his bed, a cheeky Chocolate Labrador stood over him and pointed his butt at the Dalmatian's face as he stood on his hind legs and lifted his tail. Zuma couldn't help snickering as he looked down at Marshall, lowering his butt down to the Dalmatian's sleeping face before waking him up in a crude manner. "Ohhh Mawshall!" Marshall woke up upon hearing Zuma's voice, which then led to the Chocolate Labrador's gaseous release...
PHHHHHHHHHHT
That was the sound that Zuma's vibrating butt made as a green cloud left his rear end and assaulted the sense of smell of the now awake Dalmatian. In a desperate attempt to get away from the stench of spoiled meat, he jumped off of his bed and ended up falling flat on his face. This action in turn caused him to roll onto his back. Zuma also couldn't help but crack a joke about the prank he just did to Marshall. "I'm laying eggs. Get em while they're hot!"
Zuma was laughing his butt off, no pun intended, with Marshall getting up in annoyance at Zuma's prank. "Come on Zuma; I was having a good dream too!"
Zuma laughed a bit more and then hopped off his bed as he spoke up "Maybe you fowgot", and then he gave a smug grin as he finished his statement. "That you're coming with me, Flawe, and Snow to Dwagon's Hamlet today."
Marshall gained a look of realization upon realizing that he overslept again with Flare being heard behind him with excitement coming from his voice. "We're gonna be fishing there this time!" Marshall looked to see Flare holding a fishing pole Zuma loaned him for the trip. It was a white and black spotted one, one that perfectly matched his dog breed. "Sunshine said the fishing spots in Dragon's Hamlet were the best you'd ever find!"
"Thus, my decision to teach Flawe how to fish like a pwo." Zuma informed Marshall, and then he snickered a bit as he got a whiff of his gas. "You need to take a shower first? Huh?"
"That'd be nice. And for the record, you didn't have to fart on me to wake me up again." Marshall deadpanned, and all he got from the Chocolate Labrador was a cheeky grin and a shrug. It seemed as if this was a recurring thing for Zuma to do to the others.
Fire blazed over the screen as moments from the season one were shown and rock music started playing and the one who was playing the guitar started singing Help The World. The first scene that was shown involved Flare watching Chase and Marshall in action during the fire. "There's a team of dogs who never back down from any danger." The scene then changed to Richie shooting at Charm's minions to disarm them, killing one who gets too close to a human. "Their mission is to help people, no matter how minor or major."
The scene then changed to Ryder standing tall as he leads some of the members through what looks like a forest they were sent to for a mission. "The leader Ryder takes these dogs in so they can help in any way they can." The scene then changed to Flare putting the daisy in his flower, just like he did in the third part of the pilot. "A means to prove yourself, or saving them from a bad life, it's all part of his plan!"
Chase comes on screen and is shown bragging proudly about himself as he arrested someone."Chase!" A two second riff played before showing Skye performing a triple backflip and barking to turn on her wings and fly up. "Skye!" A two second riff played before showing Zuma surfing and looking to see if the others were watching him. "Zuma!" A two second riff played before showing Rocky inventing some kind of defense weapon while paying the maximum attention to every detail. "Rocky!" A two second riff played before showing Snow snatching a gun from one of Charm's soldiers as soon as they aim it at her and aiming it back at theim. "Snow!"
A two second riff played before showing Marshall climbing up a ladder to save someone as he breathed to himself while trying desperately to keep his cool. "Marshall!"
"My, bro-ther!"
Flare was then shown to be training in the Paw Patrol lair as he blocked a robot's kicks and punches before kicking his head off. "I may not be a member but I'll be useful however I can!" The scene then changed to Flare holding Snow's paw as the two of them are seemingly running away from something dangerous. "Even if it's a side mission I'll help the world as long as I stand!" The scene then changed to Flare meeting Charm as the Golden Retriever walks over to him with a cold glare and menacing scowl, making Flare back away slowly. "The Paw Patrol is on a roll, no matter how badly the danger's swirled!"
The scene then changed to Flare standing with the Paw Patrol, as Marshall rubs Flare's head, Snow smiles to Flare, Rocky blushes when Zuma gives him a sly grin, Chase gives a wink to Skye, who giggles about the gesture, Richie puts his guns away and looks on with determination, and Ryder crosses his arms and gives a confident smile. "My brother is a member of their team now...(The riff continues for three seconds uninterrupted) and I'm always ready to (Flare gives a cheerful smile and gives a peace sign to the audience with his eyes closed and his eyes giving a teeth smile) help the world."
The riff continued for about five more seconds before slowing down and giving one final riff with the title Paw Patrol X being shown on screen with Paw Patrol in white and the X in red. As soon as the riff slowed down, Flare was shown hanging up a picture that showed exactly what everyone was doing before the song ended, revealing it to have been a group photo.
Zuma was currently teaching Flare how to fish in Dragon's Hamlet with Marshall and Snow sitting beside them to see how he did it. "Alwight dude. This is the most important part. Once you have your awms all the way back, you cast your weal." Flare did as Zuma instructed, but he ended up throwing a little too hard, which caused him to lose his grip on the reel. This made the others laugh as Flare did in response after seeing their reactions. "Don't worry; you'll get it."
"Hey Zuma;" Snow chimed in, having some issues of her own she had to attend to. "I think now's a good time to get started on looking for that sapphire I need for my device." Zuma seemed to look a little confused about this, annoying Snow as she explained it to him with clear snark. "The device I'm making to find Everest? Ya know; the reason I came here the last two times?"
"Oh, wight." Zuma laughed, and then Flare jumped in to get the fishing rod back, accidentally splashing Zuma in the process and making him laugh a bit. "Stay warm little dude!"
Snow snickered in response to Zuma getting splashed before running off as Marshall spoke to Zuma about his own plans. "Hey Zuma, I actually gotta head into town myself. Rocky heard about the trip and asked me to do some research for him on dragon infants in case Ryder needed him for a rescue. Can you watch Flare for me please?"
"Sure thing Mawshall." Zuma obliged happily, and Flare climbed back up to the dock with Zuma's rod, much to Zuma's joy as he rubbed his head. "Should be easy enough to avoid having my head blown off."
"Great. Thanks!" Marshall exclaimed, and then he spoke to Flare in an attempt to get him to behave. "Now Flare, I want you to be on your best behavior for Zuma. And if you leave to do something else, tell him where you're going off to. Okay?"
"Okay!" Flare exclaimed, and then Marshall fist bumped him before running into town to find Sunshine. This led to Flare picking his rod back up as he told Zuma where he thinks he went wrong. "I think I put in too much force, and not enough grip." Zuma nodded his head yes in response. It was pretty easy to observe that from what Flare did when casting his rod.
Fifteen minutes later, Flare and Zuma were still fishing as Zuma started whining about the lack of catches they'd been making. "Flawe, your dwagon fwiend said this was a good spot. I thought that meant we'd get a lot more fish than in Adventuwe Bay."
"Maybe the fish like sleeping in like Marshall!" Flare exclaimed; however, Zuma also snickered upon realizing that how loud Flare can be could also be an issue. "I guess I can see why they wouldn't wanna eat our stuff though." Flare reeled in his bait and revealed it to be a little worm on the hook. He smiled brightly as he pointed out how small it was. "Our bait is too adorable and tiny to eat. So many things in this world just have something that gives you a big, happy smile."
Zuma smiled upon seeing Flare enjoying himself, and then he got back to focusing. "I guess patience IS a part of fishing. Let's hope you're wrong about the bait though." Just then, Zuma got a bite and got excited as he started to reel it in. "Yes! I finally got something!"
Flare was glad Zuma finally got something on his hook, but then he remembered that he also wanted to help Snow find her sapphire, so he could keep true to his promise to her. He put his rod on the line and let Zuma know where he was going so he knew he would be okay. "Hey Zuma, I'm gonna go help Snow find her sapphire now if that's okay."
"Yeah, suwe, whatever." Zuma responded, clearly not paying attention to what Flare was saying as he focused entirely on his catch. It was a big one too! Flare, thinking Zuma was paying attention to what he said, ran off to find Snow, and Zuma continued to reel in the fish, much to his excitement at how much of a struggle he was having with it. 'Cmon fishy. Come to your chocolate daddy.' Zuma struggled for about ten more seconds, but then after one final grunt, he managed to pull the fish in. A big red fish with sharp teeth landed on the dock and Zuma pumped his fist upon sight of it. "Yes!"
Zuma admired his fish for a few seconds, and then looked to Flare to show him his fish "Flawe, you were-"... only to gasp upon finding that Flare was gone. "...wight." Zuma looked around and saw that Zuma wasn't anywhere nearby, and he started to panic. He then face palmed when he realized something. "Dawn it! He must've told me he was going somewhere!" Zuma ran off to find Marshall, knowing it'd be wrong to hide something like this from him. "I gotta find Mawshall! Maybe he and Sunshine can help!"
Snow was waiting outside the cave Sunshine took her and Flare to last time, and she couldn't enter due to the fear inside of her as she looked in. Even though she had her flashlight, she had a severe fear of the dark, and hated what could attack her in there. Thankfully, the voice of her bubbly Dalmatian friend soothened her mood. "Hi Snow!"
Snow looked to find running Flare over to her and instantly smiled upon seeing him. She always felt safe around him, even if she had to sometimes stop him from rushing into danger. "Hi Flare. Perfect timing. You ready to head back into the cave?"
"You bet I am!" Flare assured Snow, and then as they went in, he stated his relief over the lack of killer dragons this time. "Thank God there aren't any murderous dragons this time. You have your flashlight, right?"
"Never leave home without it!" Snow revealed as she held her flashlight out, and then she and Flare went into the cave. Little did they know however, two reckless dragons were fighting up above, and one of them smacked into a boulder that rolled down the exact mountain the cave was by. Luckily, no other rocks were hit by it, but it still ended up covering the entrance Flare nad Snow went through right after Snow turned her flashlight on. They turned around and caught sight of this, and Snow shivered with fear as she slowly looked to Flare. "Please tell me that didn't just happen."
"That didn't just happen." Flare replied with a grin, and Snow then gave an annoyed, deadpan look. This gave Flare the signal that her question was rhetorical, and that he had to shut up as he rubbed his arm and chuckled nervously. "Sorry."
Marshall was currently writing down something about baby dragon eggs on his pup pad while in the Nursery of Dragon's Hamlet. He wrote down that the dragon eggs usually take about nine months to hatch, much like how humans and puppies are born. The similarity was one he could easily get behind. He then smiled as he was revealed to be speaking to the parents of these eggs. "And these ones are close to hatching you said?"
The parents of the dragon eggs nodded with Zuma then bursting into the Nursery and running up to Marshall, who saw what from him, was a rare look of panic. Marshall knew this was serious if Zuma was worried, and Zuma told him why as soon as he ran up to him and caught his breath. "Mawshall; I totally scwewed up! I got focused on this catching this huge fish and I think Flawe told me he was going somewhere but I didn't catch what he said!"
"What!?" Marshall exclaimed with shock and fear, being understandably upset that Zuma could've possibly lost his little brother after saying he'd watch him. "Zuma, you said you would watch him!"
Zuma sighed with guilt as he then got down to business on finding Flare. "I know; I suck. I'm hoping he's somewhere in Dwagon's Hamlet. Only weason I didn't start looking yet is because I knew keeping this a secwet from you would've just made things worse."
Marshall put his pup pad away so he could help Zuma look for Flare. He was still mad at Zuma for potentially losing him, but he knew he had to put finding Flare before telling Zuma off. As you can probably tell, this was his big brother mode activating. "You search the right side of the village, and I'll search the left. One of us will hopefully find out where Flare went off to." Zuma nodded in response and ran off with Marshall, and the two of them set off in their respective directions to find Flare and hope he was safe.
The cave entrance was shown to still be blocked by the boulder as Flare and a timid Snow continued to look for the sapphire. Flare was worried about Snow as he watched how jittery she was getting, despite the fact that they were close to the cave entrance. Snow ended up spotting the sapphire she was looking for and grabbed onto it, leaving Flare to comment on how easy it was. "That was quick. Do you think these gems just grow in this cave at random?"
Snow pulled the gem down and was able to calm down enough to answer Flare's question clearly. "Most likely. That'd explain how Sunshine was able to find them so often." Just then, Snow's flashlight started to flicker, causing Flare to flinch and Snow to panic. "No, no, no; don't die out on me now!"
But Snow's flashlight did in fact die out. And when it did, she started to start to freak out and run towards the entrance, dropping her sapphire. She started pounding on the boulder and calling out for help as Flare picked up the sapphire and ran over to her. "Snow!?"
Snow was showing a rare sign of fear that Flare had never seen from her before, at least not to this degree. "Get me out of this psycho cave! I wanna go home! I hate it here!"
Flare ran over to Snow and pulled her down to the ground to keep her from freaking out any more. "Snow; look at me!" Flare knew that Snow wanted to get out, but he also knew that they couldn't escape if they didn't keep their cool. "Look into my eyes Snow. (Snow looks into Flare's eyes) Just breathe with me. In, and out."
Snow started breathing in and out, just as Flare said. After about five seconds of that, she was able to calm down well enough to talk normally to him. "Sorry I freaked out there." Snow leaned against the entrance boulder and slinked tot he ground, sitting down as she stated why she panicked. "I-I'm scared of the dark. Whenever I'm in a dark room or place, I start fearing what could come after me while I'm there." Snow was usually embarassed to admit this last part, but she felt safe enough around Flare to do it with him. "That's why I sleep with a nightlight."
Flare was understanding towards Snow's fear of the dark and sat down next to her as he gave a smile. He figured the best thing he could do is try to calm Snow down with happiness. "We'll find a way out. And then we can head home if you want." Snow felt the warm touch of Flare's paw on her shoulder and smiled. She was glad that she was at least trapped in a cave with someone she was close with.
Flare and Zuma had searched at least a dozen places each in Dragon's Hamlet, and neither of them found Flare anywhere. "Any luck Mawshall?"
"No, no leads or anything." Marshall then started to panic, and that started with him calling Zuma out for losing him, since he was still mad at him for doing so. "I still can't believe you lost sight of him Zuma! (Zuma's head and ears starts to lower with guilt) You know what happened the last time he was here!" Zuma then noticed Marshall's anger change to full blown panic as the Dalmatian started pacing back and forth and fearing for Flare's life. "What if he's been killed already? What if the sick killer's waiting to show me his decapitated head!?"
Marshall then sat down and held his arms tightly as he started breathing faster and panicking harder. It was clear he didn't know what he'd do with himself if he'd lost Flare. Zuma, knowing he was responsible for this panic attack happening, had to step in. He walked up to Marshall and put his paws on his shoulders, reminding him that they still hadn't actually found Flare yet. "Dude, chill! I know you're scawed, and so am I! But we still have to find Flawe before we lose our cool!"
Zuma grabbed the paw Marshall put his scar onto and had Marshall look at it to remind him of his goal. When Marshall looked at it, he calmed down, and he started to think more clearly. He looked to Zuma with a grateful smile, glad to see that Zuma was looking out for him. "Thanks Zuma." They still had to find Flare though. As he thought about a plan, he then came to a relization on what they could do and snapped his fingers with enthusiasm. "Sunshine! He should've been the FIRST one we went to!"
"Then let's go find him!" Zuma responded, and he and Marshall ran off to find Sunshine, knowing he was somewhere in town.
Flare and Snow were still trapped in the cave, and as Snow was still sitting by the boulder, Flare was heard nearby "Dalmatian ram attack!"... and then he rammed into the boulder, only to end up falling to his knees and whine as he started rubbing his hurt shoulder. "Owww." Snow went over to Flare to see if he was okay, and Flare could still see the fear in her eyes. He had a feeling that was why she couldn't come up with a plan. "Maybe you could do something that calms you down? Maybe think about something Everst would do in a case like this."
Snow found that Flare's advice was sound, and thought for a moment about something Everest would do in this situation. She had all of her memories with Everest when they were all alone memorized, and she then realized something she used to do when she was struggling to sleep at night. "I got it! Whenever I couldn't sleep at night, Everest would sing me this song that would keep all of my troubles away. Maybe if one of us sings it I'll feel better!"
"You know the lyrics better than I do!" Flare replied cheerfully, having a good feeling that Snow could pull it off. "Sing away Snow!"
Snow was glad to have Flare's support, and hoped she remembered Everest's song well enough to start singing it properly on her own. She closed her eyes as she began to remember. It'd been more than a year since she'd last heard Everest sing it, and the lyrics were a little fuzzy to her. She did her best to remember them entirely before she sang them. The song was short as well, thankfully, so it wasn't anything to fear in terms of how long it'd take. And when Snow had her perfect rendition of the lyrics, she smiled and started singing Sleepy Puppy and piano music in the form of a lullaby played.
"Little puppy, do not cry. I am right here, beside you. Don't let your fear, of the dark pry. I am here, in the dark too." Flare took a liking to Snow's singing voice, and it made him smile even more upon seeing that the song seemed to be working. "Darkness is scary, yes, I know. But we'll get by, you will soon see. Even if the night, goes too slow. I am here for you... sleepy puppy." The music continued for a bit with Flare feeling the love Snow had for Everest as the latter then started to have a flashback to the last time Everest sang this song to her. She heard her voice and everything.
"I won't let the dark, take you away. You can count on me, to help you stay. You will be safe, so long as I'm here; and I won't let you fall, to the prey." Everest tucked Snow in as she continued singing to her, and even turned Snow's nightlight on, revealing that the two of them were in some kind of abandoned house together. She then sat down and finished the song. "Even though I can't, make it leave. I will help you get, through the dark, you see. The night sky won't, hurt you with me here. I am here for you... no matter what... sleepy, puppy."
When the flashback ended, Snow clenched her fists and started crying silently, surprising Flare. It seemed as if the flashback Snow had was too much for her and she was about to break down. Flare then hugged her upon instinct. It just felt like the right thing to do. Snow wrapped her arms around Flare and started to sniffle, missing Everest even more than she did before. "I want my sister back. I want her back Flare. (Sniffles) I just wanna punch Charm in his jerk face and take her back!"
Flare patted Snow's back as he responded to what she'd said with as much care as he could muster. "We're gonna get her back Snow." Flare then pulled Snow away and showed her the sapphire she dropped. She was stunned upon remembering that the two of them found it, and Flare gave his usual, happy smile as he assured her that they were almost there. "And after this... we'll be down to our last thing to find!" Snow wiped her tears as she smiled softly and saw Flare's happy smile. She knew that Flare was going to keep his promise to her no matter what. And she couldn't be more grateful for that.
Marshall and Zuma were currently talking to Sunshine outside of his house, who was giving them an idea on where he thought Flare might be. "So Flare ran off somewhere else while Zuma was catching a massive fish, and the two of you have no idea where he is?"
"That's right." Marshall responded, hoping intensely that Sunshine had an idea as to where he was. "Please, pleeeease tell us you have an idea as to where he is."
Sunshine thought about where Flare could've run off to and then remembered what he did with him and Snow upon their first visit. "Well... I did take him and Snow to this cave I go into a lot the first time they came here. It's this cave that always has some cool gems to find when I explore in it. Maybe they went there to find another one of Snow's gadget things?"
Marshall and Zuma then gave a dumbfounded look before Marshall face palmed with a relieved smile, as Flare had told them about that before. "Of course! He probably went to Snow to find the sapphire she needed; that should've been the FIRST thing we thought of!"
"In your defense, you were totally out of it when we stawted the seawch." Zuma pointed out, and then he spoke to Sunshine with confidence that he'd lead them to the cave. "I don't think I have to ask, Sunshine dude, but you're chill about taking us to this cave, wight?"
"Of course I am!" Sunshine exclaimed while beaming brightly, running off with Marshall and Zuma behind him. "Anything for Flare and his friends!" Marshall and Zuma only hoped that nothing dangerous happened to the cave while Flare and Snow were in it. The two of them hated the idea of one of them being badly hurt; especially Marshall in regards to Flare.
Flare and Snow were still inside the cave with the two of them trying to dig their way out with Snow being rather efficient with it herself. Flare was impressed when he looked. She was already four and a half feet underground compared to his one and a half feet, and he showed how impressed he was as he commented on it. "Wow Snow; you dig fast!"
"Three months of traveling with your sister will make ya better at stuff like this." Snow pointed out, and she then stopped to look at Flare and grin about her fear of the dark. "And to be honest, I'd much rather be scared of the dark than be scared of getting dirty." Flare laughed a bit, taking notice to how little Snow cared about how dirty she got while digging. Snow then made sure her hat was still on tight before continuing.
Outside the cave, Marshall, Zuma, and Sunshine were heading for the cave as Sunshine saw it from a few feet away. "There it is!" The three of them noticed the rock in front or the cave however, and that led to them getting worried with Sunshine pointing out the lack of blood. "Well at least we know this boulder didn't crush them."
Inside the cave, Flare heard Sunshine's voice and called out to him to see if it was really him. "Sunshine!?"
Marshall became ecstatic when he heard Flare's voice and ran up to the boulder to speak to him. "Flare! Oh, thank God you're okay!" Marshall then flinched as he realized that Flare could also be injured, making sure to ask just in case. "You, ARE okay, right?"
"You bet I am!" Flare looked down to find that Snow had just reached six and a half feet, being glad to announce that they would be out of there in no time. "And I think we have a way out! Snow's a digging champion and she's almost deep enough to where she said we'd-"
"Finished!" Snow exclaimed, and then Flare jumped into the hole, making sure not to fall on Snow as he slid down and the Husky got ready to dig out. "You may wanna cover your eyes for this one." Snow started digging with Flare following from behind as the two of them made their way out of the cave.
Forty seconds later...
Marshall, Sunshine, and Zuma were waiting anxiously by the boulder as they hoped that Flare and Snow would get out okay. After a couple more seconds, the two rose out with Snow jumping out and cheering at the sight of being in the light again and Flare smiling at how happy she was. "Snow's back in the light baby!"
Snow started kissing the ground happily with Flare laughing at the sight as Marshall ran up to him and hugged him. "Thank God you and Snow are safe!"
Flare giggled a little as Zuma then walked up to him, feeling bad for losing him at the docks. "I'm sowwy Flawe." Zuma put his paws on Flare's shoulders as he sat down with Flare giving Zuma his full attention. "I thought you were still there by the docks when I caught that huge fish, and then I wealized you were gone, and... ugh; I guess I just wasn't paying attention."
"On the plus side, you caught our lunch!" Flare joked, making Zuma laugh a little as Flare then jumped on his back, not being the slightest bit upset about what happened on the docks. "You can make it up to me by giving me a piggyback ride back to the village."
"Deal!" Zuma exclaimed, and he then headed off with the others as he went to speak with Marshall about what happened. He hoped that wasn't still mad about what happened. "Mawshall?" Marshall looked at Zuma, who still showed remorse for not holding up to his trust. "I owe you an apology too. I lost sight of Flawe even after you twusted me to watch him. That was so uncool of me."
Marshall, now being more relieved than anything about what happened, simply smiled and told Zuma that they were cool. "What matters to me most now is that Flare's okay. And the fact that you stopped me from going too far with my freak attack further showed me that you care." Zuma was relieved to hear that as Marshall then gave him a cheeky warning. "Just don't lose my brother in a more dangerous environment." He then gave a serious glare to Zuma, which stunned everyone else. "Seriously; I'll kill you if you lose him in a battlefield or something."
Zuma chuckled nervously as he then made his reply to the warning Marshall just gave to him. "No problem dude. I'll do better if there's another time I watch Flawe."
"As you should." Marshall informed Zuma, and then to show that he was calm now, he made one of his usual puns that annoyed the others. "It's a good thing we found out where he and Snow were before it got dark too. We wouldn't wanna lose these two very bright gems in our lives." Marshall then laughed a bit, despite getting his usual calling out from his friends.
"Marshall!"
Snow couldn't help but be flattered by how Marshall called her a gem, despite the corny way he did it. Flare then remembered the sapphire he found and handed it to Snow, who remembered what she got it for. She smiled upon seeing it and looked to Flare gratefully, and Flare gave her his usual cheerful smile. The two really did feel safe around each other. Somehow, it still felt... unique, compared to how safe they felt around their siblings.
Snow was having her sapphire melted down by one of the dragons to make sure she could put it into her device. When it got melted to the perfect temperature for a liquid sapphire, she put some of it into a small container and poured it carefully into her device. She made absolute sure that the wires stuck together from the heat, and combined with the fire from Sunshine and the bluebird feathers Flare helped her get, she managed to make the wires stick together well enough to form like an actual device would. Snow was relieved to see this become a success.
As Snow thanked the dragon for her help, Flare was digging into the fish Zuma caught and loved the taste of it so much that he instantly wanted more. "Seconds please!"
Marshall and Zuma couldn't help but laugh at the heavy appetite Flare had. Sometimes they wondered if the Dalmatian was secretly a black hole with endless hunger and a desire to eat that would last forever. Marshall gave him more just to make sure he didn't go hungry. "Okay, but keep some room in for desert."
As Flare dug into his food, Snow sat down to him and kissed him on his left cheek, surprising him and making him blush softly. This was the second time Snow had done this, and it looked as if this time, she had a more clear picture as to why she did it. Without trying to be rude, he asked the smiling Husky why she did it. "What was that for?"
"For keeping me from losing it in a dark cave silly!" Snow exclaimed, still being grateful to Flare for helping her avoid losing it back in the cave. "I know it's not the most traditional way to say thanks. It's just the first thing that came to my mind."
Zuma snickered in respone to that, catching everyone's attention. He was more than ready to joke about the obvious affection Flare and Snow had for one another, even if they didn't realize it yet themselves. "You two can be betwothed all you want, (Flare and Snow flinch) but save the nasty cwap for when you're oldew."
Zuma snickered some more with Flare and Snow looking at each other before blushing deep reds before looking at Zuma and speaking in sync. "What are you talking about!? We're not betrothed! (Flare) Whatever that means! (Both of them) We're friends! It's nothing crazy!"
Flare and Snow then looked away from each other while still failing to understand these feelings of theres. Marshall decided to help Flare calm down by whispering to him about his feelings for Snow. "If you ever wanna talk about this, just ask." Flare smiled upon hearing that before Marshall then remembered something and backed up. "I just remembered I have to finish studying baby dragon eggs for Rocky!" Marshall rushed off to finish his duties, only to stub his toe on the stool he was next to "Ow!", and then he crashed into the table that was in Lightspeed's backyard and sent the fish flying, leading to it landing on his head. After a second or two, he then smiled as he pulled the fish off of him. "I'm okay!"
The others laughed at Marshall's mishap as he ran off with Sunshine commenting on how he thought about him. "Your brother's funny, Flare!"
"That's Marshall for ya!" Flare responded, and then he continued digging into his second portion of fish while being happy with how today turned out. He then looked at Snow, who was looking through her book as she looked at what the last item was. "One more item to go, right Snow? Where to now?"
Snow, upon reading what the book said, found that the last thing she needed, was located at the one and only, Twin Flame Island! She knew Flare was gonna love this, and smiled as she pointed it out to him. "You're gonna love where we're going next." Flare saw Snow's excited look and was ready for whatever came their way with the two of them doing their signature hi five to end the episode off.
Soft piano music started playing as the night sky was shown with the scene then descending to the cliff at the edge of the Paw Patrol lookout's standing as Flare walked over to it. Flare then sat down and looked at the stars as he thought about the pups in the Paw Patrol with a female voice singing Risks Worth Taking. He first thought about Snow. "This world has so much in it, that I have yet to see. And I have to be ready for how to act upon it, whatever it may be. (Flare starts thinking about Chase) I've made so many great friends, since I came to Adventure Bay. And when I start to help with missions, that will certainly be my day."
The song continued as Flare started to think about Rocky. "When things get good, and when they get bad, I hope they know that I have their back. There will be times where I make mistakes, but I'll work to get back on track. (Flare starts thinking about Zuma) There's no such thing as a chosen one, or any of that destiny stuff. I have to work to help this world, and that doesn't mean I get all buff."
Flare then started thinking about Skye as the song continued. "If I fall down, I'll just get right back up, and I'll prove to them that I'm a strong pup; and that I won't let the danger I face make me freeze and start shaking." Marshall then came up to Flare as the song continued and sat down next to him and rubbed his head. "And even if there are times when I struggle, I knooow..."
