Paw Patrol X
New Recruits arc Episode fifteen: Chase and Skye's First Date at Last
Skye was currently at the cliffside view that the lookout had while struggling to mimic the call of a bluebird, much to a nearby bluebird's confusion. While she was doing this, Chase was watching her from nearby, and he held the intent to ask her out. As he prepared for this, he breathed in from his nose and out from his mouth while thinking to himself about how this would go. 'Okay Chase. You've known Skye for years, you've had more than enough moments with her to justify something like this, and you know you like her for her personality. You got this.'
Despite how nervous he was, Chase walked over to Skye, who noticed him walking over to him after he greeted her. "Hey Skye. Practicing your bird calls again I see."
"That's right!" Skye exclaimed, and then she walked up to Chase with a smile. She was always glad to start hanging out with him. She quickly noticed however, that he had a question on his mind, and felt it wouldn't hurt to ask about it himself. "Is there... something you wanna tell me?"
Chase scratched the back of his head as he replied. "Yeah. Something pretty big actually." Chase stopped scratching the back of his head and worded what he had to say the best he could. "So. I was wondering. We've known each other for about... six years, was it?"
Skye thought for a moment and remembered that she and Chase met when she was four and a half, and when he was five and a half. She was also the first member of the team besides him. "Yeah. That sounds right."
Chase was glad that he got that right and decided to proceed with his question. "I don't know if you've noticed, but over that time, I've developed these... feelings for you, (Skye becomes surprised) that I don't have for anyone else. (Chase starts rubbing his arm) And that new fancy restaurant recently opened up, and I can afford it, so I was wondering if..." Chase then spoke quickly as he tried to get what he wanted to say as fast as possible. "youwantedtogooutwithmetonightbyanychance!"
Chase breathed for a little bit after that and became relieved when Skye smiled and kissed his right cheek. Although he blushed as she did it, he knew what this meant, and Skye then responded with all the words Chase needed. "I was waiting for you to say those words." Chase instantly beamed and started doing backflips in his head... even though he wasn't the best at them in real life. "Does six sound good?"
"Yeah. It sounds the best. See you then." Chase then walked off with Skye smiling as he did, leaving Chase to look around, and when he was alone, he went into two leg mode and started cheering. "Yes! She said yes!" Chase then started moonwalking and giving a confident grin, being ecstatic for what was going to happen tonight. Nearby, Flare and Snow were watching Chase, and Flare gave a smug grin to Snow as she then gave him a deadpan look and gave him a twenty. Although Chase didn't see it, it was clear that they were betting on how this would go down.
Fire blazed over the screen as moments from the season one were shown and rock music started playing and the one who was playing the guitar started singing Help The World. The first scene that was shown involved Flare watching Chase and Marshall in action during the fire. "There's a team of dogs who never back down from any danger." The scene then changed to Richie shooting at Charm's minions to disarm them, killing one who gets too close to a human. "Their mission is to help people, no matter how minor or major."
The scene then changed to Ryder standing tall as he leads some of the members through what looks like a forest they were sent to for a mission. "The leader Ryder takes these dogs in so they can help in any way they can." The scene then changed to Flare putting the daisy in his flower, just like he did in the third part of the pilot. "A means to prove yourself, or saving them from a bad life, it's all part of his plan!"
Chase comes on screen and is shown bragging proudly about himself as he arrested someone."Chase!" A two second riff played before showing Skye performing a triple backflip and barking to turn on her wings and fly up. "Skye!" A two second riff played before showing Zuma surfing and looking to see if the others were watching him. "Zuma!" A two second riff played before showing Rocky inventing some kind of defense weapon while paying the maximum attention to every detail. "Rocky!" A two second riff played before showing Snow snatching a gun from one of Charm's soldiers as soon as they aim it at her and aiming it back at theim. "Snow!"
A two second riff played before showing Marshall climbing up a ladder to save someone as he breathed to himself while trying desperately to keep his cool. "Marshall!"
"My, bro-ther!"
Flare was then shown to be training in the Paw Patrol lair as he blocked a robot's kicks and punches before kicking his head off. "I may not be a member but I'll be useful however I can!" The scene then changed to Flare holding Snow's paw as the two of them are seemingly running away from something dangerous. "Even if it's a side mission I'll help the world as long as I stand!" The scene then changed to Flare meeting Charm as the Golden Retriever walks over to him with a cold glare and menacing scowl, making Flare back away slowly. "The Paw Patrol is on a roll, no matter how badly the danger's swirled!"
The scene then changed to Flare standing with the Paw Patrol, as Marshall rubs Flare's head, Snow smiles to Flare, Rocky blushes when Zuma gives him a sly grin, Chase gives a wink to Skye, who giggles about the gesture, Richie puts his guns away and looks on with determination, and Ryder crosses his arms and gives a confident smile. "My brother is a member of their team now...(The riff continues for three seconds uninterrupted) and I'm always ready to (Flare gives a cheerful smile and gives a peace sign to the audience with his eyes closed and his eyes giving a teeth smile) help the world."
The riff continued for about five more seconds before slowing down and giving one final riff with the title Paw Patrol X being shown on screen with Paw Patrol in white and the X in red. As soon as the riff slowed down, Flare was shown hanging up a picture that showed exactly what everyone was doing before the song ended, revealing it to have been a group photo.
Chase was in his room, nervously getting ready for his date with Skye, although, the part he was on was trying to decide what tux he was going to wear to the restaurant. He was currently debating over the casual black tux, or the sleek white tux. He didn't want to go too far for Skye, but he also didn't want to go too casual either. Marshall knocked on Chase's door, and Chase started to panic, but kept his cool. "Who is it!? If it's Skye, don't come in; it's a surprise!"
Marshall laughed a bit as he opened the door to Chase's room and went over to his friend with a smile, and of course... a pun. "Don't worry Chase. Skye's not by the door, so if you wanna show me what you had in mind for surprising her, then knock yourself out."
Chase rolled his eyes while smiling as he then explained to Marshall what he was doing after he laughed a bit more. "I'm trying to find out which tux I wanna wear to my date. I'm worried if I go too casual, Skye will think I don't care. But I'm also worried that if I go too far, I'll make her think I'll commit suicide if she doesn't like me back."
Marshall didn't think that was an option for Chase, and he went over to his closet to see if he could find an alternative. "Maybe there's a balance between the two in your closet. Mind if I look?" Chase nodded his head no, allowing Marshall to open the closet door up and look inside. He saw that Chase had three more tuxes; one red, one blue, and one yellow. He saw the blue one and picked it out, bringing it over to Chase and the light blue color spoke to him much more than the other two. "I'm surprised you didn't pick this one. You'd look best in your main color."
Marshall handed Chase the tux, and he was impressed by how good it felt on his paws. "Blue IS my favorite color." Chase put the tux on, and it looked much better on him than the other two would've looked. He happily admired himself in it, and then put the bottom on as he went into two leg mode. He admired himself in the mirror and then admired his butt affectionately. He already felt he had a hot butt, but the leather tux made it look even better as it gave a tight grip to his body. "Oh yeah. I can work with this. (Looks at Marshall) Thanks Marshall."
"Not a problem." Marshall replied happily, just being glad that he could help Chase with something after all he's done for him so far. He then joked about Chase being the gassiest of the team. "Just try not to fart or burp too much on your date." Chase laughed a bit in response, but then he felt that he'd struggle to actually hold in his gas. He was usually proud of his farts and burps, but tonight, he would have to hold them in for both himself, and to avoid embarrassing Skye.
Chase and Skye were driving up to the restaurant in Chase's car with Skye being revealed to be wearing a pink dress with a tutu on the bottom. She was glad to finally be going out with Chase, and she was also impressed that he was able to afford this place. "Thanks so much for taking me to Restaurant Bay, Chase. How did you get the money for this place?"
Chase chuckled a bit before admitting to how he was actually able to get it, not wanting to lie to Skye about this. "I might've... asked Ryder for the cash needed to buy it." Skye shrugged, not minding that Chase took a loan for this date to happen. "Good thing he's all about helping others." Chase and Skye arrived at Restaurant Bay, and were thankfully able to find parking. When they got out of Chase's car, they headed towards the restaurant and Chase started holding Skye's hand. Skye was certainly surprised with how fast Chase was moving as he then gave a grin. "No need to take it TOO slow now."
Skye smiled in response as she and chase then went inside and went up to the receptionist, who had a full black suit on with a blonde ponytail stand to get their reservations. "Table for two please. Our reservations are under Chase Armitage."
The receptionist got a look at her book and saw that Chase did indeed have his reservations in order. She was also glad to see a Paw Patrol member dining with them. "I'd say I know you two, but it'd be pretty obvious. That mixed breed you're with did a fantastic job at disarming that bomb." And yes, that was the mission that kept Rocky from going to Dragon's Hamlet with the others. Not that he minded helping Adventure Bay mind you. "The hostess will take you to your table." Chase and Skye followed the hostess, who guided them to a table on the top right corner.
Chase and Skye sat across from each other at the round table as the hostess left and their waiter, who had brown, combed hair, came up to them with a cheerful grin. "Hello my lovely patrons. I'll be your waiter tonight; here are your menus." As the waiter handed Chase and Skye their menus, he then advertized the restaurant's water options. "Why don't we have you start off with some waters? We have sparkling, or still."
"Ooooh, sparkling sounds fancy." Skye responded, being impressed with the sound of that, but also unaware that the waiter was clearly focused on her, which Chase took notice too much more quickly. "I think I'll take sparkling."
"Yeah, that sounds good. I'll have that-"
Before Chase could finish however, the waiter interrupted him and walked off, but not before rubbing Skye's head, which she felt uncomfortable by. "Great! I'll be right back."
Chase noticed that Skye was starting to get creeped out, and he instantly put his menu down to consult her worries. "If you wanna ever leave, just let me know."
"Thanks Chase." Skye responded, being flattered that Chase was this protective over her, and trying to stay optimistic. "Hopefully our waiter is just... overly friendly."
Chase nodded in response, and as he and Skye looked at what they wanted to order, Chase decided to start the conversation with something about Skye's personal life. "So Skye. You're probably, the only Paw Patrol member to come under normal means before Marshall. What's your family like? I know we met them before, but I mean like, who they are as canines."
"Like a normal, but wealthy part of society." Skye started, and then she started talking about each of them individually. "My dad owns his own dog grooming business, ironic; I know, and that's how he makes our living. My mom was a barista at his favorite cafe before he started his business, and they eventually hit it off." Chase was glad to see Skye being okay with talking about her family, and Skye then started talking about her older sister. "My sister was super protective over me. She always made sure I was safe, even when she was having her model practicing moments."
Chase had to admit that he envied Skye a bit for having a normal life compared to his former one. But he still wanted her to be his significant other. Skye could tell that he was seeking his own blood family to have with the look in his eyes, and his slightly sorrow tone. "It must be nice having a family of your own blood who loves you." Skye showed concern for Chase, who then noticed this and continued looking at his menu. "Sorry, sorry. Just... having some flashbacks is all. Your family sounds really cool."
Skye smiled in response, doing what she could to help Chase see that she enjoyed his company. Chase then started thinking to himself about how badly he could've bombed the date there. 'What were you thinking!? She's not into whiney losers you idiot! You wanna impress her, you gotta do it right! Just tone down the gloomy talk, and keep, cool.'
Skye was about to ask Chase a question regarding his own life, only for the waiter to come along and interrupt them. "Have we decided on an appetizer?"
Chase and Skye took notice to the fact that they water hadn't come yet, but Chase looked to Skye, who nodded his head yes, and he decided to make his order. "Yeah, I guess I'll take this crab risotto thing. Never heard of a 'risotto' before, but it sounds pretty good."
"Sounds good." The waiter then looked to Skye, clearly being more interested in what he would order. "What about you my darling? Do you wish to order the same?"
"I don't like crab." Skye revealed nervously, and then the waiter simply put his paw on her head before lowering it down her back slowly. Normally, dogs loved being petted. But this was something that Skye couldn't get behind. It was much slower and more sinister than normal; and Chase was looking infuriated by it as his right eye started twitching upon sight. When the waiter was getting close to her butt, that's when she started to freak out. She instantly called to Chase with immense fear and concern in her voice as she did. "Chase, he's trying to grope me!"
"Don't need a bill for THIS service!" Chase stated as he then took his gun out and pinned the waiter, who was now confirmed to be a pedophile (And not just to human kids), to the ground. This alerted everyone, and he spoke up to calm them down. "It's alright; I'm a cop! And this freak was just about to mess with my girlfriend sexually!" The waiter was shivering in fear as one of the chefs came out and saw what happened with Chase threatening the waiter with his gun. "Sir, you're under arrest for attempted groping of a minor canine! And possibly some other humans and animals you hurt like that in the past!"
Skye was sitting there in amazement at what Skye did for him. She was still shocked by what just happened, but as Chase read the waiter his Miranda Rights, she sat there with the full knowledge that she would never find a better partner than Chase. She knew she was right to fall for him.
Chase was currently dealing with the pedophile as he spoke to a police officer from the next town over, which was where the nearest police station was. He was already giving the officer, who was an asian woman with a black ponytail in a full blue suit, the information she needed to complete the arrest. "I already read him his Miranda Rights, so that part should be taken care of by now. Hopefully this scumbag gets his just deserts." Just then, Chase's stomach growled, and he gave a sly grin to the officer. "Officer Julia, do I have permission to blow one off in someone's face?"
Julia couldn't help but laugh at Chase's question, as she, and the other officers, were already aware that his gassiness was partially why his reputation was so big. It wasn't the main reason of course, but it was an easy reason to point to. "Knock yourself out kid. He's by my car." Chase nodded happily and ran over to the pedophile before walking up to him slowly with a smug and proud grin. When he went into two leg mode, he bent over and pinned the arrested pedophile's face to the car with his butt, and despite him still having the tuxedo on...
PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
Chase's butt blast hit the pedophile with a nasty yellow cloud of rotten eggs that made Chase's butt vibrate as the detail of his leather tux made it even more apparent as the yellow gas cloud left his rear.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
During the last ten seconds, Chase got a text from Skye thanking him for protecting her, to which he smiled and replied back with 'Anytime.'.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT
After thirty seconds, Chase's fart was finished, and he rubbed his butt on the pedophile to make absolute sure that his butt musk stuck with him. He then turned around and punched him in the face before letting out a nasty five second burp into it, whcih made the already gagging and gasping human slightly more disgusted than before. "One thing you'll find out about me from this is that despite being a professional, I'm not very... subtle, when it comes to the punishments I give to criminals."
The pedophile passed out from the fart and burp gas Chase hit him with as the German Shepherd then went over to Skye. The Cockapoo was still trying to process what happened, but when she got a whiff of Chase's lingering gas and couldn't help but giggle as she wafted it away. "I figured you'd end up farting in his face."
Chase laughed a bit before sitting next to Skye, and then he sighed despondently, feeling awful about what happened in the restaurant. He had a feeling someone was off about their waiter the moment he came over to them and started acting weird, but he never would've imagined that this is what would've come from it. As a cop, it wasn't okay for him to miss any details that could've helped them. If he didn't care about ruining the date, he would've certainly stepped in. "I'm sorry about tonight Skye. I should've stopped him the moment he started going down your back."
Skye wasn't mad at Chase however. They were both unaware that a pedophile was in Adventure Bay now. All they could do is move on from this and make sure the other dates they went on were better. "Maybe we can finish this date by getting our orders to go?"
Chase was surprised to hear this, but he looked at Skye, who had a genuine smile, and he smiled back. He was relieved and ecstatic to see that Skye wasn't upset with him for what happened tonight. "D-does... this mean I was r-right to say you were my girlfriend when I was arresting that guy?"
"Of course!" Skye assured Chase, who started celebrating in his head by jumping around and pumping his fists. He could barely believe what he'd just heard! He and Skye were officially a thing! Even if the circumstances before it were... less than ideal. "You don't have to worry Chase. I loved you for years too, and I still do. And I've always felt... safe around you. Like you'd never let me down. (Holds Chase's paws) And I felt this way ever since you and Ryder helped me feel better after my first mission."
Chase beamed when he heard that and decided to make another offer to Skye. "Ya know, I never actually spent any money in this place. Whatya say we settle for some dinner down at Mr. Porter's."
"There's nothing I'd like more." Skye responded happily, and the two of them walked off as Skye then got a whiff of Chase's odor while they went to her car. "You'll definitely have to put on some cologne before we go in though." Chase snorted a bit and nodded, being glad that Skye caught that before he did.
Chase and Skye were at Mr. Porter's and the two of them ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, much to Chase's delight, as well as Skye's to a slightly less, but still apparent extent as his. She could tell that Chase was excited to chow down on this spaghetti, and since she loved spaghetti too, she didn't mind at all. "I should've known you'd want your favorite food if we came here. Or anywhere."
"Italian food in general just speaks to me Skye. It's always been my go-to." Chase admitted, and then she and Skye got started on eating, but not before Chase gave Skye a little surprise date present. He snuck one of the noodles over to her side, and grabbed onto the other end when she wasn't looking. When the two sucked on the noodle, Skye took note to what was happening and gave Chase a sly grin before they finished. The two of them then started kissing when their lips met and they didn't break apart for ten seconds as romantic music started playing.
When Chase and Skye stopped kissing, the two of them looked at each other with lovey dovey eyes with the two of them wanting nothing more out of tonight than this moment, and Skye's words confirmed that. "Nothing more magical than that first time."
"Then let's not try to top it." Chase responded, and the two of them kissed again as the outside of the restaurant was shown with the two of them being shown to have a window view, and not caring who saw them in that moment. It was clear that neither of them were for that whole 'wait till the third date' rule Chase commented on earlier. They were just glad to be with each other, alone, on this almost disaster, turned magical night.
The two of them kissed for a little longer, and then broke apart upon the sound of Chase's stomach growling. The German Shepherd blushed, but was quick to assure Skye that it was hunger over gas. "Hehe. We should get back to eating before our food gets cold."
Skye nodded in agreement, and the two picked up their forks and started eating their spaghetti for real this time. As usual with Mr. Porter's food, they loved the taste. The two of them knew from the start of coming here that this was a much better place to eat than Restaurant Bay, and the fact that no one there was a creep played a big part in that. As the two of them ate their spaghetti, they started picturing what the future of the team would be like with them dating. Thankfully, they didn't worry too much, since their friends were always supportive of them getting together.
Three minutes later, Chase and Skye finished the entire plate of spaghetti and went down to one meatball. The two of them gazed at it and then towards each other before Chase nudged the meatball over to Skye's end. She was flattered, but nudged the meatball over to his end in response. The two of them then got an idea with Chase picking up the meatball and Skye grabbing onto the other end with her mouth. The two ate their halves and managed to sneak another quick kiss. As you can imagine, it was an incredibly romantic night for the both of them.
When Chase and Skye finished their plate, Chase got a good look at the desert menu and gestured to Skye, who lushed over the strawberry cheesecake. Chase, knowing that Skye loved strawberry flavored sweets more than almost any food in the world, decided that it would be best to order that. He didn't have any problem with ordering the big one for the both of them either. If they were going to be a couple now, the least they could do is get used to sharing their food. And neither one of them took issue with that.
Chase and Skye were driving home after having payed for their food, and Skye, while grateful for the time out, did giggle at one thing that came to mind. "Don't take this the wrong way Chase, but I would've been okay with paying half of the bill. Especially since the desert was mainly ordered for me."
"Tonight was all about you in my eyes Skye. I'd spend ten thousand dollars on one meal to make you happy. Heck, maybe even a HUNDRED thousand!" Chase exclaimed, surprising Skye, but in a flattering way. She just hoped that Chase didn't overload his budget. He then cracked a joke about what Skye said that started the conversation "That said, it's good to know you won't be mad at me if I can't afford the whole meal."
Skye laughed a bit and smiled as she looked out the window when asking Chase a question about their future together. "What do you think we'll be like as adults?"
Chase thought about that for a second as he then smiled after a few seconds and gave the most honest answer he could. "I can totally see the two of us getting married. I can see it now. The two of us in the most prestigious and luxury place we can afford a wedding in, and you throwing the most beautiful bouquet of flowers to the next lucky bachelorette, who I'm hoping will be whoever Marshall hooks up with at that time." Chase then had another word in mind to warn Skye about his plans. "As much as I'd love to be a father though, kids are out of the question until at least my late twenties!"
"Noted." Skye responded, respecting Chase's wishes and actually feeling that she agrees with them on her own level. Not everyone is ready to be a parent as soon as they get married. "We may have to be extra careful then. (Looks at Chase) Some couples get married BECAUSE they get pregnant."
"Well..." Chase blushed as he mentioned a key part in his preparing for life with Skye list. "I have a bit of a collection of all kinds... c-c-condoms, (Skye looks at Chase in surprise) in my room somewhere to prepare for our first time. So we should hopefully... be okay." Skye took note of that as Chase then covered his face while still focusing on the road. "Sorry; I know that sounds totally creepy!" Skye smiled gently at Chase's expression and put a paw on his, helping to calm him down. She did think him saving stuff like that was weird, but she still loved him regardless.
Chase and Skye then arrived home with Chase getting out of the car after going up the driveway, and then escorting Skye back inside after going over to her side. Skye leaned her head on his arm, making him smile as the two of them went into the lookout while not being afraid to show the team that they were a thing now. However, it was only Marshall who was in the room, as he was getting himself a strawberry soda from the fridge as the two of them came in. He then saw the happy couple and smiled as he walked up to them. "Hey guys. How'd your date go?"
"It went great Marshall; thanks for asking." Chase assured Marshall, chuckling a bit as he recalled how the date started. "Though, I'm definitely filing a complaint to Restaurant Bay for hiring that creep of a waiter."
Marshall seemed a little confused as to what Chase was talking about, and Skye bluntly stated what happened. "The waiter was an omnisexual pedophile." Marshall was shocked to hear that, but Skye then grinned as she looked at Chase with a request in mind. "Mind if I undress you before I go to wash your tux?"
"Not at all." Chase assured Skye, who happily got down on her knees and lowered Chase's tuxedo pants for him, and got a good view of his butt as she playfully grabbed it, much to his delight. "Nice view from down here." Chase growled devilishly with Marshall going 'Bleh!' before heading on over to the table to look away and drink his soda in private. It was clear that the two were very open about their relationship, and while he was happy for the both of them, he wasn't exactly in the mood to be in the middle of their flirting at this time.
Chase and Marshall were in the living room watching Tv together as the two of them discussed what happened tonight. Marshall felt bad about the fact that they had a meeting with someone as creepy as a pedophile, but he was also happy for the fact that they were together in spite of that. "So. You said it took you six years to start dating Skye?"
"Yeah; at least five and a half years too long." Chase admitted while jabbing at how much of a coward he was in terms of asking Skye out. "Word of advice Marshall. If you ever wanna ask someone out on a date, don't make the same mistake I did and wait a super long time; cause before you know it, you could already be too late." Marshall took note fo that as Chase then took a benefit of the situation into mind. "Granted I got lucky when asking Skye out this morning, but still."
Marshall nodded in response to that as he then talked about how great it would be to have romantic feelings for someone. "It would be nice to have a girl who shared the same feelings you and Skye share." Chase had his attention caught by Marshall's words as the Dalmatian then looked to the ground with despondence and doubt in his face. "I doubt anyone would wanna go out with a panic freak like me though. I'd probably scare them off whenever things got hard."
Chase felt bad for Marshall and scooted over to him, wrapping his right arm around him and making an offer to him that he felt he couldn't refuse. "Tell ya what Marshall. If you ever find someone who you have feelings for, I'll help you get together with them. (Marshall looks at Chase) And I'll also make sure it's a lot faster than me getting with Skye."
Marshall was grateful to hear this offer from Chase, and he couldn't help smiling as he asked if he was serious. "Really? You mean that?"
"Of course!" Chase assured Marshall, knowing that he was someone he'd always wanna be there for. "You're definitely someone anyone would wanna hang out with, and after you take care of your panic attacks, I can see you being more than capable of being able to hold down a relationship. You just have to see it in yourself first."
Marshall couldn't help but smile at what he just heard. He was glad to have a best friend like Chase, who would always be there for him no matter what. He hadn't even known him for three months yet and he was already okay with helping him with his romantic life. "Thanks Chase." Chase nodded in response and the two friends then did their signature handshake with Marshall, once again, using the paw he stabbed to do said handshake. The two of them knew from the looks of sincerity in their eyes that they would be ready to help each other no matter what happened.
Skye was currently getting ready for bed as he put her dress away and then walked over to her bed and sat down with the bedside table right next to her. As she looked at the bedside table, she opened it up and pulled out a picture that she was very fond of. When we saw the picture, it revealed that it was of Chase and Skye around the time they first met and Skye joined the Paw Patrol. The picture showed them in the living room of the lookout as Chase wore his police uniform at the time and gave a salute of honor while smiling proudly, and Skye smiled with her eyes closed and mouth opening as she gave two peace signs.
Skye then had a flashback to the first mission she ever had on the team upon looking at the photo. She still had to improve her efficiency on the team and almost failed the mission when she struggled to control her jetpack to save someone from a dangling cliff. Chase managed to convince her to come out from her new room, where she spent some time to think about whether or not she belonged on the team, and she found Ryder in the living room. She was surprised when she saw him holding the camera, and Chase started to explain what was going on.
Chase and Skye got into place on the living room rug as Chase got ready to take their photo, and Chase looked to Skye with a smile. In that moment, she saw Chase's refusal to give up on her, the same that Ryder had. This led to her realizing that she had feelings for Chase. And then, as they made their respective pictures, the flashback ended and Skye cried a tear of joy upon seeing it.
At the time, the two of them were the only members of the team. Skye didn't mind that there were more pups in the picture now, but she always cherished when it was just her and Chase. She'd had feelings for him for the longest time now, and the fact that they were finally together made her smile. As she looked at the picture a little longer, she lied down on her bed and closed his eyes, being proud of herself for finally having her first date with Chase. It may have taken him six years of knowing him, but she finally managed to make a step forward in her life. And it was a night that she'd never forget.
Soft piano music started playing as the night sky was shown with the scene then descending to the cliff at the edge of the Paw Patrol lookout's standing as Flare walked over to it. Flare then sat down and looked at the stars as he thought about the pups in the Paw Patrol with a female voice singing Risks Worth Taking. He first thought about Snow. "This world has so much in it, that I have yet to see. And I have to be ready for how to act upon it, whatever it may be. (Flare starts thinking about Chase) I've made so many great friends, since I came to Adventure Bay. And when I start to help with missions, that will certainly be my day."
The song continued as Flare started to think about Rocky. "When things get good, and when they get bad, I hope they know that I have their back. There will be times where I make mistakes, but I'll work to get back on track. (Flare starts thinking about Zuma) There's no such thing as a chosen one, or any of that destiny stuff. I have to work to help this world, and that doesn't mean I get all buff."
Flare then started thinking about Skye as the song continued. "If I fall down, I'll just get right back up, and I'll prove to them that I'm a strong pup; and that I won't let the danger I face make me freeze and start shaking." Marshall then came up to Flare as the song continued and sat down next to him and rubbed his head. "And even if there are times when I struggle, I knooow..."
