Disclaimer: I knew there would always be a chance fo something in any season I write to be awaiting closure by the time it's all over, so I got the idea to make these epilogue chapters for that very purpose. I'm hoping this is revealed to be a good start to them, and I hope ya'll will tune in for the next arc when this story comes back from hiatus. I'll be working on season two of my Spyro story after this chapter comes up, but this is by no means the end of Flare's story. Enjoy!

Oh yeah; there's also the Paw Patrol X Discord Server that can keep you up to date with the progress of the story, or if you're interested in helping write it. If you're interested in joining, DM me with your Discord info, and I'll send you an invite. Hope ya'll consider joining!

One more thing. I don't own Paw Patrol.

Paw Patrol X

New Recruits arc Epilogue chapter: A Promise Kept

A base in the middle of the forest was revealed as the screen lit up with the words "Charm's Main Base" being typed up on the screen. Charm was then revealed to be getting freed from the trap buoy Zuma used on him with Trickery discarding of it as Charm poured himself a fireball. "Thank you Trickery." Charm then walked over to his monitors, seeming to be unaffected by his loss as he looked for where to attack next. "At least I got to cause some death. And blow Prison City up."

Charm's look was disinterested as he looked at Prison City, and he grinned happily as he saw the death and chaos he'd caused. Trickery took notice to this and walked over to him while holding a deck of cards. "I doubt the Paw Patrol believes they actually stopped you Charm. If you like, I can get a look at their reports."

"No need." Charm assured Trickery, wanting to surprise the Paw Patrol for when he struck again. He then looked at the possible locations he could make an attack, and as he looked at them, from what looked like a Mer-pup city in the ocean, to the depths of hell, Charm came across one place in particular. This place hit him as the right choice, and he opened it up while also showing off what looked like some dragons residing nearby, and it was populated by humans, dogs, and cats alike. There were even knights there, along with a castle. "Barkingburg."

Charm looked up some stuff on Barkingburg and found an interesting file, that being one on a Doberman from Zuma's past: Claw. As he read on, it read that he was the Grand Cross Knight of Barkingburg. This made Charm show intrigue. He didn't think Claw could get this life. "So Zuma's former orphanage friend found his way to protecting royalty."

"He's also the second adopted dog of the Princess." Trickery put his deck of cards away and used one of them to spawn himself a cup of peppermint tea. "The King and Queen seem to resent him however."

Trickery took a sip of his tea as Charm decided to set a course for Barkingburg. It seemed like a nice place to attack next, and he would even get to mess with a Paw Patrol member again. "I'll start the planning phases. This attack needs to be as cathartic as possible." Charm's plan to attack Barkingburg was approved, and he then gave a sadistic and bloodthirsty grin as he looked at the audience while pulling out a gun and aiming it at them. "Get ready to be dethroned Barkingburg! Bloodshed awaits you!"

BANG!

The gunshot caused the screen to go to black.

The screen lit up again with Flare waking up the day after saving Everest and sliding down the ladder after turning his alarm off. He saw that Marshall was still asleep and climbed up to his bed before he excitedly jumped on it, waking him up. "Wake up Marshall! It's the first day after we saved Everest!" Marshall suddenly fell out of his bed with his blanket wrapping him up a bit, which somehow, Flare didn't get wrapped up in. As Marshall rolled into the wall, Flare giggled as he walked over to him and untied him. "Sorry; guess I went overboard again."

"I'm used to it." Marshall cracked a smile with Flare yanking on the blanket and causing him to spin around for a bit. After a few seconds, Flare stopped Marshall's spinning and allowed Marshall to recover. And that led into another one of Marshall's puns. "Next time, I'll choose how we spin into action."

Marshall laughed a bit with Flare giving a sly grin as he then picked up a pillow from Marshall's bed and smacking him gently with it, causing him to laugh even more. "Bad Punshall!"

Marshall then grabbed the pillow and tossed it back up onto his bed to tidy up for later. Once he did, he and Flare left the room with Marshall letting Flare know something. "I showed Everest around yesterday, so you don't have to worry about her not knowing where something is."

Flare took note of that as he then heard Snow and Everest talking in Snow's room as Everest explained something to her. "And I think Richie was helping us guarantee living together by handing me this application." This made Flare give a hopeful smile as he walked over to Snow's door. He was hoping this meant Snow and Everest were staying.

Snow then spoke up as Flare leaned against the door to Snow's room and listened in as Snow spoke up. "That's awesome! You'd better turn that thing in!"

Marshall then stood next to Flare and put a paw on his shoulder as he reminded him of how impolite he was being right now. "Flare, you know it's not polite to eavesdrop."

Flare heard what Marshall said and backed up with Snow then opening the door with a sly grin and making them both flinch. "Good thing there are no cats for his curiosity to kill."

Flare giggled a bit while scratching the back of his head as Everest came out of the room to give Ryder her application. "Speaking of turning this thing in, I should go talk to Ryder while he's free."

As Everest walked off, Marshall decided to leave Flare and Snow be, since he had something he wanted to talk to Chase about. "I gotta go talk to Chase about something. You two can go ahead and do whatever."

Marshall headed off with Flare and Snow being alone once again, and Flare then smiled as he looked at Snow. "Does this mean you and Everest are staying!?"

"Of course ding dong!" Snow exclaimed, loving the Paw Patrol, and Adventure Bay, too much to just leave. "Everest and I spent a year running away from that torture shack we were supposed to call 'home'. To finally have a place we can call home is something we always wanted; and now that we're finally together again, we can both comfortably say that we can call Adventure Bay, our home." Flare beamed when he heard that as he then hugged Snow, who was surprised, but then wrapped his arms around Flare. It was clear that the two of them were ecstatic to sitll have each other's company.

Snow then allowed Flare into her room while also revealing that she had a favor for him. "Also, quick favor." Flare gave Snow her full attention as the Husky then stated what he needed from her. "So... I wrote this story for when I reunited with Everest, and I don't know if it's really touching, or really stupid. I was hoping you and Zuma could help me please?" Flare was surprised to hear about Snow writing a song, but he smiled and nodded his head yes in response, making Snow smile back. She knew Flare would've said yes.

Marshall was looking for Chase in the Lookout, and he found him in the living room watching Tv and cuddling with Skye. He was hoping to talk to him in private, so he went over to the living room to speak to him. "Hey Chase. Hey Skye." Chase and Skye both greeted Marshall, and then he decided to get Chase in the other room. "If you don't mind Chase, I was hoping to talk to you in private after our mission yesterday."

Chase knew Skye wouldn't mind him leaving for a few minutes and kissed her left cheek to let her know he'd be back. "I'll be back baby." Skye nodded in response with Chase then heading off with Marshall. The two went outside to behind the lookout as Chase started the conversation. "Lay it on me Marshall. What can I help you with?"

"A couple things actually." Marshall admitted, and he decided to start off with the first thing that was on his mind. "You said you were a baby when you got abandoned by your former owners, right?"

Chase shuddered at the memory of being left in that city. It was clear to Marshall that he was secretly struggling with some form of PTSD. "That's right. I have nightmares about what might've happened if Ryder didn't save me at least twice a month."

Marshall always wondered what those occasional moments of Chase waking up conflicted was all about. He felt it also had something to do with why he took his mistakes so brutally. "How do you cope with that?" Marshall's question surprised Chase as the Dalmatian then went into more detail as to what he meant. "It's just... ever since Flare was born, and our dad died, I've made it my goal to be a positive male role model in Flare's life. If we ever get put into a position of near death, and it hit us mentally... how would we be able to tackle that?"

Chase saw what Marshall was getting at. He wasn't sure he had a surefire answer for him either. This sort of thing affected everyone differently. He put his right paw on Marshall's shoulder and gave him the most sincere answer he could. "The only advice that I can give you, and guarantee it being good, is to never give up." Marshall took those words to heart with Chase holding back his tears as he spoke up about why he chose that advice specifically. "Even when it doesn't look like it, there will be times Flare's gonna need you to be strong for him. No matter how hard it gets, and no matter how scary it becomes... never, ever, give up."

Marshall nodded in response with Chase then opening up to him a bit about how he felt sometimes. "There were loads of times in my life, where I felt like giving up. Sometimes, whenever I made a mistake, or when I got scared, or felt alone, like before I met Ryder... I felt like giving up." Marshall was about to console Chase, but he put his paw up, and then gave a genuine smile. "But the feeling I get when I see the people I've helped, the gratitude they show, and the proof around me that makes me know it's not just empty praise... that's what keeps me moving."

Marshall couldn't help but start to tear up with joy at Chase's words of wisdom. Chase was also happy to share said words with someone he was close to. "The feeling that I'm actually helping people... that my life, actually means something... that I'm more than just an accident who my deadbeat dad never wanted..." Chase held back his tears again as he finished giving Marshall the advice he needed. "It reminds me that my life, matters. That my friends... my family... the whole, world... are worth helping. Even after everything I've been through." Chase then hugged Marshall, who started crying tears of joy as Chase smiled and told him his final words of wisdom.

"Use that feeling to motivate you Marshall. It'll always, always, pull through."

Marshall wrapped his arms around Chase as a sign of thanks for what he just said. He now knew that he had to give it his all, and to never give up on Flare. He then realized the second thing he had in mind, and he pulled Chase away to state it. "Oh, and about that second thing. You remember the talk we had after you took Skye out for the first time?" Chase nodded in response with Marshall then giving a sheepish grin as he spoke up about that. "Can you please help me with Everest?"

Later that day, Flare was cooking lunch for everyone, and he was cooking a little more food now too, now that Everest lived with them. He was revealed to be making some kind of buffet after everyone entered the room, and he even pulled out the big table so he could fit everything on there. They were all amazed by what they saw with Flare grabbing himself a cheeseburger and a chicken breast as he spoke up about it. "It's a good thing Ryder was able to afford french kitchen cooking stuff, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get this all put together so fast!"

Those words shocked Everest, who was quick to call out how bizarre this all sounded as she inspected the buffet. "You made all of this?" Flare nodded his head yes happily as Everest got a look at everything. There was so much food to choose from; from burgers to pizza, to halibut to even beef wellingtons, Flare was somehow able to put this entire buffet together all by himself. Everest didn't by this however, and was quick to ask Flare how he did it. "Are you on crack or something?"

Flare snickered a bit at Everest's question as he then explained how he was able to pull it off. "No, I just watched a lot of that reality show about Gordon Ramsay yelling at chefs who keep screwing up. And I had some help from Snow in terms of when to do what."

Everest looked at Snow, who was revealed to be sitting on the countertop as she gave her a wink in response to what Flare just told her. Everest then got a whiff of the food and started to only wanna eat. "On second thought, who cares about HOW you made it!? Let's dig in!" Flare was happy to hear that, and everyone happily started getting what they wanted.

Everyone was happily eating the food from Flare's buffet with all of them happily digging in to his amazing cooking. Marshall and Everest also took the time to start chatting as Everest pointed out her meal, which the main course of was liver. "I swear; next to Snow, the biggest pain of living in that stupid fortress was never being served liver."

"I imagine it's torture for anyone to be forced into not eating their favorite food." Marshall responded, and his meal was revealed to be mac n cheese with bacon bits and onions. "Liver is to you, what mac n cheese is to me."

"Except mac n cheese is supposed to be comfort food." Everest pointed out, and then she saw Zuma shaving some coconut onto his clams, with some of them even having hot sauce on them. This grossed her out a little as she pointed it out. "Don't expect me to eat clams with THAT stuff on them. I don't even like clams in general."

Zuma shrugged as he started eating with Marshall seeing an opportunity to show his sense of humor. "Yeah, you don't really strike me as a shellfish girl."

Everest was surprised by this with Marshall laughing a bit as she commented on it with surprise. "Was that a pun?" She obviously didn't expect a Paw Patrol member to have such a dry sense of humor.

"Sure was." Rocky deadpanned, and as he ate his wasabi covered sushi, he pointed something else out to Everest. "Expect him to make those a lot."

Marshall could see that Everest wasn't annoyed by him and decided to go for another one as she took a sip of fruit punch. "And we'll be sure to let you punch Charm if possible."

Everest shot fruit punch from her nose upon the terrible pun, making sure not to hit anyone with it as she then started laughing as she replied. "Oh my god!"

Everest laughed some more with Marshall beaming as he brought up how close it was. "I know, I know; but it was right, there!"

"No no, you're good." Everest laughed a little more as she then brought up why Marshall's puns caught her off guard. "I just didn't expect any of you to share my sense of humor." Marshall giggled a bit with Rocky rolling his eyes just before Everest made a pun herself in regards to Marshall's food. "I used to tell them to Snow, but they were always too cheesy for her."

Marshall and Everest started laughing as the others were starting to get annoyed and Snow spoke up. "Great. Now there's TWO of them."

"Which also means double the awesome!" Flare responded while beaming, leaving Snow to raise an eyebrow towards his lackluster attempt at heavy optimism.

Snow and Everest were in Snow's room as Everest was getting her first official look around. She'd only been in there once and that was for sleeping, but now she was able to get a good look around and see what was in there. She quickly took notice of the climbing gear that was by her bed and was glad to see she kept it. "You kept the climbing gear I got you!"

"When I said I loved rock climbing, I meant it. Maybe now I can start to get good at climbing in general." Snow reminded Everest, and then she brought up something she was hoping to do now that Everest was in her life again. "Maybe we can see how Flare and Marshall feel about it. I saw you eyeballing Marshall during your pun fest earlier."

Everest blushed a bit, but quickly spoke up about Snow's feelings for Flare. "And why do YOU wanna invite Flare?" Snow flinched and started blushing herself, which caused Everest to laugh a bit as she then sat up on Snow's bed next to her as she made another pun, much to her sister's dismay. "Maybe now we can finally climb mount Everest together."

Everest laughed some more with Snow giving a deadpan look as she grabbed a comic, rolled it up, and tapped Everest with it a few times on the head as she scolded her. "Bad Everpun!"

Everest laughed a little more as she then expressed excitement over hanging out with the rest of the team. "I'm still excited to get to know everyone else though. Besides Flare and Marshall, who else do you think I should hang out with."

"Skye. And if you assume it's because she's a girl, I'll kill you." Snow joked bluntly, making Everest snicker a bit at her sister's dark sense of humor showing.

Skye was setting up a game of Pup Pup Boogie for her and Everest to play with Everest getting a good look at it and wondering how it worked. "So this is a video game where you dance with the other player and try to get the better score of the two?"

"Yep. That's the basic point of it." Skye confirmed, and then she set it to easy mode so Everest could get the hang of it quickly. "We can work up the difficulties if you like the game enough to get better at it. And just as a heads up, Flare and Zuma may wanna see what genre of games you like the most. Everest took note of that as the game began with Skye giving a tip to Everest right before then. "Just call out the moves in your head and act them out!"

Everest didn't entirely know what that meant, but she started boogying with Skye anyway, and she was struggling at first. Skye so far, was making zero mistakes, and Everest was impressed. She then remembered the advice Skye gave her though, and looked at the moves on the screen while calling them out in her mind. She started to get better from there; not getting as good as Chase was, but still proving that she wasn't completely lost on the dance floor. This got her excited as she saw her score getting better. "I'm doing it! And the duck stopped quacking!"

Skye giggled at Everest's jab at the duck with the latter barking excitedly at how fun the game was with Skye having a feeling she and Everest were gonna be great friends. "I'm starting to see why Snow was so excited to have you meet the rest of us."

"And I'M starting to see why she wanted me to start with you." Everest responded, making Skye smile with gratitude as the two of them continued to boogie. She was already starting to love it at the Lookout, as well as loving the time she was having getting to know everyone.

The next stop Snow made for Everest was Rocky, who was finishing some kind of device in his room as she knocked on his door. "It's open!"

Everest entered the room and happily greeted Rocky. "Hi Rocky!" Rocky turned to Everest as she happily explained what she was doing there. "Snow said you would be fun to help with the inventions of. Anything you want me to help you out on?"

"Believe it or not, there is something you can assist with." Rocky opened a drawer and took out some kind of remote while aiming it at Everest. "Hold still." Everest did as she was told, and Rocky pressed a button that scanned her and then caused some kind of bar code to appear. It revealed Everest's stats in the Paw Patrol's three key attributes: combat, stealth, loyalty. It appeared to be as Rocky expected, and he made sure Everest knew. "As expected, you have an exceptional skill in loyalty. (Everest smiles) But your stealth is lackluster, and your combat is just above average."

Everest's smile dropped when she heard that with Rocky then assuring her that this wouldn't affect Ryder's decision. "Thankfully, if there's one thing Ryder is always consistent with when deciding on a new member, it's being open to helping them overcome their struggles, even if sometimes, they have to help themself first." Everest couldn't help but smile upon hearing that information. Ryder had to be a good leader if he was willing to help his recruits with whatever they were struggling with.

Rocky then stepped down from his chair as he smiled to Everest while welcoming her to the team. "Just remember that it always helps to let us know if you need assistance with a vexation." Everest was confused at Rocky's use of 'vexation', and he quickly noticed and clarified what it meant. "Vexation means trouble."

"Got it." Everest assured Rocky, having noticed fairly quickly to the fact that he was the smart one on the team.

The ocean was shown with Zuma then revealed to be surfing down a wave as he went underneath the top part at top speed. He was having a blast as the top of the wave soared over him, and once he got out of the wave, he used the end of it to surf back over to the beach. Once he got on that path, another wave came in and helped him pick up speed, making him cheer with excitement as he surfed back to shore. Once he got there, Everest was shown to be cheering for him as he arrived while hanging ten, loving the sight of surfing. "Yeah! Go Zuma!"

"Thank you; thank you! I'll be here my whole life!" Zuma happily exclaimed, and he walked over to Everest as he told her about how he was gonna teach her how to surf. "Just give it a few months, and you'll be suwfing like the champ you just watched out there."

Everest laughed a bit at Zuma's bragging as the sound of Rocky's voice caught their attention. "How do I look guys!?"

Zuma and Everest looked to where Rocky was and walked over to him, and it was revealed that he was balancing on a surf board and a small patch of sand. The sight was enough to tell Zuma that his surfing would look better if he did the real thing. "Pwetty good, but you'd look a whole lot cooler if you actually got out there to cwash on some waves."

Rocky scoffed at the idea of getting in the water, since he hated getting wet in general. "And get myself wet? Tch. Improbable."

It was clear to Everest that she was going to have to adjust to Rocky's habit of using fancy words. "I think I'm gonna have to take a grammar test or two."

Back at the lookout, Everest suddenly crashed against the wall to the lookout and slid slowly down to the bottom while landing on her head. It was revealed from her perspective that a confidently smiling Chase was the one who pulled this move off, and she then got up while pointing out how tough he was. "When Snow said she saved the 'best for last', I was under the impression you'd have something more fun in mind than the Pup Pup Boogie match I had with Skye."

"I think she was speaking technically rather than for what you would think." Chase responded, and he then started boasting about himself about how great he was. "I'm Ryder's second in command for a variety of reasons. (Moves paw back on head) The fur, (Flashes Everest) the butt, (Turns around and faces Everest directly) the smile," Chase's teeth shone right before he finished his bragging. "My natural beauty is only a fraction of why I'm the most efficient of the dogs on this team."

Everest had to admit that, while Chase did have a lot going for him, she was starting to feel a little awkward. "Riiiiight."

Chase was quick to notice this and decided to see if Everest had anything in mind for what they could do. "Was there anything you had in mind for what we could do?"

Everest thought for a moment and felt that the sparring match she was having with Chase would be good for now and got up with a determined smile. "Actually, I'm fine with continuing the sparring match if you are. Might as well prepare if Ryder accepts me, right?"

Chase loved the determination and got into a fighting stance with Everest getting ready as he spoke up about her will to improve. "I think you'll be sure to land a spot on the team Everest. Just keep rising no matter how high you go!" Everest nodded in response to that and charged at Chase, and the two continued their sparring match with Chase blocking Everest's punches and kicks.

Flare and Snow were currently having a sparring match in the training room with Ryder and Richie observing them. Flare was certainly getting better, and was able to block some of Snow's punches and kicks without too much issue. He still had some trouble attacking her however. She was definitely someone he had to work on mastering the speed of, much like if he were sparring with Chase. That said, Richie was impressed by the progress he made since he first moved to Adventure Bay with Marshall. "Despite his most recent mishap, he's improved a lot since his arrival Ryder."

"I knew he would as soon as he saved Alex." Ryder agreed, and then Flare dodged one of Snow's punches and managed to land a right hook on her. As excited as he was upon seeing it however, Snow then used the momentum to bring her into a low sweeping position, and she then kicked Flare towards the wall. He then crashed against the wall and quickly recovered, but Snow was still able to pin him there with Richie writing down on Flare's progress. "Just wait until he finally joins the team."

Flare was able to dodge Snow's punch as he then grabbed her paw and pushed her back from it, causing her to stumble a bit. She recovered quickly and as Flare aimed a jump kick at her, she grabbed his foot and threw him over her shoulder. Flare used his paws to stop himself from being slammed to the ground, and kicked Snow with his other foot. He then spun as she let go of his foot and tried to low sweep her, which he did, only for Snow to backflip from it and charge at him. This led to her and Flare colliding a punch as soon as the Dalmatian recovered.

A timer then beeped with Flare and Snow stopping their sparring as Ryder then guided them to the results screen. "Take a look at how well you two did! One of you has certainly gotten a lot better since they first arrived!" Flare and Snow looked up and saw that they were now neck and neck in power. "Of course, that's not to say you haven't both improved immensely." Flare and Snow were ecstatic to see their power being this close and did their signature hi five after seeing the results.

The next day, Flare and everyone else were waiting in the lookout's mission room with Flare and Snow sitting next to each other. Flare hoped it wouldn't hurt to point out how much more lively Snow seemed after Everest was back in her life. "Since we're still waiting for Ryder, I think I should point out that you've been more cheerful since Everest moved in. (Snow looks at Flare) Not that you didn't have life to you before Snow, but these past couple days, I think I've felt a lot more joy in you."

Snow couldn't help but smile upon hearing that, since she knew what Flare was indicating with that comment. "I guess Everest being back just brings out the best in me."

Flare smiled back and got a cheeky idea, sneaking a quick peck at Snow's right cheek, much to her surprise. She couldn't help but blush upon it, and then Flare gave a playful grin as he spoke up about why he did that. "It was MY turn to play cheek kiss."

Snow couldn't help but blush harder when she saw what Flare did, but she also ended up giggling upon it. The others took notice to their banter, and they could all tell that one day, they would get together. Especially Marshall and Everest, who smiled to each other as well. Snow then wiped her blush off the best she could as she commented on the stunt Flare just pulled. "Okay; fine. I'll give you that one. But only because you risked your life to keep a promise that I didn't have to ask for."

Flare laughed a little nervously at the jab at his little mission from yesterday, but he was quick to assure Snow that he wouldn't be pulling those stunts again. "Don't worry Snow. I most likely won't risk my life like that again until I become a member of the Paw Patrol."

Snow was fine with that, and as she and Flare smiled at each other for a little longer, Ryder came out and stood in front of everyone. He had a proud smile on his face, and he looked to Everest so he could have her attention. "Everest, step forward please." Everest walked over to Ryder, who then explained to the others what was going on. "I looked over Everest's application, and based on what I've seen on it, and what Snow told me about her, she has the right attitude for being on the Paw Patrol. I have strong hopes for her proving her worth on this team."

Everest was glad to hear that with Snow being thrilled as Ryder then kneeled down to the former with a snow themed pup tag he pulled from his pocket. "Rocky showed me the stats from when he scanned you yesterday Everest. Despite not being as skilled as the other members, you can still fight, which obviously means you can defend yourself. Along with that, you protecting Snow while you were on the run shows your good heart. And we can help you work on anything you need to improve upon too."

Everest's tail started wagging as Ryder gave her the collar with her new pup tag on it, and the pup tag started forming her new suit. It was a snow themed suit with the gear a dog would most likely wear in a snow storm, along with a snow cap to make sure the head was warm as well. She also had a pup pack just like everyone else, one that was the same shade color as her fur. She couldn't help but love the feel of it. Ryder then explained exactly what she would be doing. "You'll be the team's snow up. It doesn't have it's sole uses all that often, but you'll still have plenty of missions to help out on.

Everest was incredibly grateful for this. She would've given anything to be with Snow again, and now the two could guarantee they wouldn't be seperated again. "Thanks Ryder! I'll make sure to help Adventure Bay as much as I helped Snow when we were on the run!" She then noticed how she camouflaged into her suit and giggled. "Check it out. The color's so similar to my fur that some people may not notice it on me! Maybe my stealth stat could improve if I utilize this kind of stuff."

Marshall of course, found the perfect chance to chime in with a snow pun upon hearing that. "Let's hope you're better than me when it comes to avoiding cold feet." Marshall and Everest laughed a bit at his pun with the other pups calling him out in annoyance.

"Marshall!"

The other pups then laughed a bit too with Everest being glad to be a member on the team. Even if she wouldn't be used as much as the others, she knew she could still make an impact. Snow then nodded to Flare, and then looked over at Zuma, both of whom read her signals as she walked over to Everest. "I actually do have a reunion present for you, if you want it." Everest was intrigued by this as Snow signaled her to go back to the others, which she did, sitting next to Marshall as Flare and Zuma went up to Snow. "It's probably super cheesy, and short, but... here we go."

Zuma took his guitar out and started playing a soft yet upbeat melody with Snow nodding to Flare, who sang the song she wrote for Snow: My Sister, Forever. "The day we were separated, I'll admit; I didn't know what to do. I wanted to save you, I did so; but could I really, follow through?" Everest was starting to feel touched as Flare continued the song. "I still remember, that very day; it'll most likely always stick with me. But now I'm glad... that we both have a future to seeeee."

Snow was starting to have flashbacks to when Everest protected her from Charm, where she was all beaten up and Everest stood in front of her, as Flare continued singing. "My only regret on that day... is that I couldn't protect you as well." Everest looked back to Snow with determination and love with Snow gaining a look of sadness and realization. "If I was strong enough... I probably could've stopped you from going through all that hell."

Snow then clarified everything as the flashback ended to show that she didn't regret what happened after that as Zuma continued with his guitar. "I mean, I don't regret meeting everyone here mind you, but I think you get the point."

Flare then continued the song, showing a bright smile that made it clear he loved singing it, both for his own enjoyment, and for Snow. "And it was a long road, to find you. But I don't regret it at all. Even when things were at their hardest, I got up after the fall." Marshall smiled to Everest, who then blushed softly upon his gesture as Flare finished the song. "I'll still admit that on that day, I wish I could've done more. Seeing Charm take you like that... it hurt me, to my core. But no matter what I faced, every obstacle and endeavor. One thing was always clear in my miiiiind."

Flare then sang the final lyrics to the song with the final strums of Zuma's guitar playing in sync with it. "No matter what... you are my sister, forever." The other pups started cheering with Everest looking at Snow with a genuine, grateful, loving smile, one that Snow couldn't help but reciprocate. The two sisters were finally reunited, and it was clear to them both that their bond was still as strong as ever. Just like Flare and Marshall, even if there were moments where they fought, one thing would always be true.

Nothing could tear them apart.

Flare was getting a good look at his scar in a mirror with Marshall sitting next to him as he did. Marshall felt awful for how Flare got his scar, but Flare thought it looked pretty cool. Now he looked like one of those heroes who's been through a lot. "It's not ALL edgy and evil looking. Now you can tell I didn't just walk through my pre-team life!"

Flare's point did make Marshall feel better about this, but he still wanted Flare to know he would always be there for him. "Flare." Flare gave Marshall his full attention with the latter suddenly hugging him as he made him a promise to always protect him. "I promise. No matter how hard it gets... No matter what I have to go through... No matter what it costs me... I will always protect you. I'll do everything I can to keep you safe, and stand by your side." Flare was surprised by the hug, but he felt immense gratitude upon hearing Marshall's promise. "I will never abandon you."

Flare wrapped his arms around Flare and assured him that he would be okay. "You said everything you CAN do, right? So there's gotta be some exceptions for that to work." Marshall laughed a bit as Flare pulled him away and showed that his optimism was still intact. "And I'm still as ready as I'll ever be to train as hard as I can to join the Paw Patrol, and help protect the world from menaces like Charm!"

Marshall couldn't help but beam upon seeing Flare's kind look. He still couldn't fathom how he got such a pure hearted brother. Flare then got excited about something and turned to the door of their bedroom. "Now cmon! I wanna see Everest's new truck!"

"Same here!" Marshall responded, and then he and Flare happily ran off to see Everest's fire truck, and as the screen faded to black, nine words appeared on the screen, along with Flare's cheerful goodbye.

"Goodbye everyone! I'll be back soon!"

And with that... Flare kept his promise to Snow.
