Paw Patrol X

Friend Or Foe arc Episode one: A Birthday Trip to Barkingburg Part One

The screen lit up and showed some moments from season one as Flare made a recap of what happened then. "Hi everyone! Flare Munroe here! I thought I'd help you get caught just for good measure." One by one, the moments Flare described were shown on screen for his recap. "So at the start of the first three months of Paw Patrol life, I snuck onto Marshall's ferry ride to Adventure Bay, and there we met the long standing members of the Paw Patrol; Snow Silverman, Chase Armitage, Zuma Thorne, Rocky Goodway, and Skye Bartlam, and became fast friends with all of them. And the human members, Ryder Maxor and Richie Goodway."

Flare was then shown to be bonding with Snow with the moments of the two of them that were shown. "Snow and I grew really close. I even started helping her look for her older sister, Everest. We managed to save her, but I almost died when sneaking onto the mission. Side note: I should probably stop doing stuff like that." Marshall was then shown talking to Chase on the boat ride home. "At first, we thought the Paw Patrol were these Gods of peace, but no; they're as normal and fearful as the rest of us."

Chase and Marshall were shown talking on the balcony of Charm's base in Prison City. "Marshall became best friends with Chase, and that helped my big brother finally start becoming the brave hero he wanted to be after our dad died." Zuma was shown telling Flare and Marshall about his life before the Paw Patrol. "Zuma also had his parents taken by the cops and went through a lot of awful stuff since then." Zuma was shown hugging his parents in the Christmas special. "Thankfully, Snow and I were able to find them and resolve that part of his life. They even moved to Adventure Bay to stay close to him!"

Rocky was shown telling Flare and Marshall that Charm is his younger brother. "Apparently, Rocky is the older brother of the Paw Patrol's biggest enemy; Charm. Not a very threatening name, but I think he shows it better himself." Skye was then shown telling Marshall how Fuzzy became his new BGFF. "Skye's probably the only one who hasn't dealt with any family tragedies yet. Not that it's a bad thing. Wanting to help people out of the goodness of your heart is pretty admirable."

Everest was shown hanging out with Marshall as the two of them were laughing at Marshall's puns during the Christmas special. "Marshall also gained a crush on Everest after we saved her. Don't tell him I said that though; he's kind of awkward with this stuff." Flare then came onto the screen as he stated what the Paw Patrol were up to now. "Anyway, it's now January 21st, and the Paw Patrol got called for another rescue! Don't worry; I got permission to come this time." And with that, the screen faded to black, ending the recap off.

A long and sturdy carriage was shown to be dangling on the bridge that led to Adventure Bay with the citizens gathering around to see what was going on. Once Chase's sirens were heard, they got out of the way with Chase, Marshall, and Ryder rushing onto the scene to see what was going on. Once they parked, Flare popped out of the passenger's seat of Marshall's fire truck and called out to everyone. "Don't worry everyone! My friends will take it from here! And maybe me if I can!"

Ryder appreciated the help, especially since it got everyone's attention, but he felt it was best to take it from here. "Thanks Flare. I'll let you know if you can help with anything." Flare let out a cheerful bark as Ryder called to Zuma, who was riding in the water as he answered. "Zuma! Place some cones down to keep the waterway clear! We can't let anyone under the bridge!"

"Weady, set, get wet!" Zuma barked for his water cones, and then his water landing pad, just to be safe. He then kicked a button underneath his steering wheel and popped out a pineapple smoothie. He picked it up and started sipping it, deciding to relax a bit before Ryder called on him again. He sighed of relief as he finished his first sip. "Wefweshing."

Ryder then looked to Chase, who got ready for his command right on cue. "Chase! Use your grappling hook to get down there and find a fitting place for Marshall's portable ladder so we can guide the people in the carriage to safety.

"Chase is on the case!" Chase called out, and then ran over to the edge of the bridge and barked for his grappling hook. "Grappling hook, go!" And when it went over the bridge, he called over to Marshall and signaled him to come on over. "Stand by Marshall. I'll let you know when I find the right spot."

"You got it Chase!" Marshall assured Chase, and Flare was watching from nearby after having hopped out of the truck. He saw that Marshall was much more composed now, and he was proud of his older brother. It seemed as if his freak attacks had vanished well enough to make it possible.

Chase then hopped up to the rim of the bridge and howled once he jumped down. He then called down to the family that was in the carriage. "Don't worry everyone! I'm coming down!"

The daughter of what was soon shown to be a rich family was eternally grateful, sporting a short blue Princess dress. "Thank you so much! Your timing couldn't be more-" Chase then came down to the family, surprising them by his presence. It seemed that they weren't aware of the Paw Patrol where they were from. "...perfect."

The mother and father, who sported a long pink gown and a fancy blue suit respectively, were shocked. Especially the mother. "Are you a dog?"

"Actually ma'am, I'm a puppy." Chase corrected proudly, and then he started using the rear view mirror to check himself out.

The mother was baffled by this, finding it ridiculous that a puppy was a major part of a supposed rescue team. "A BABY dog! That's even worse!"

"Says who?" Chase asked as he started checking out his butt, growling a bit as the mother made her response.

The mother was quite annoyed with it as well. "Me!"

Chase couldn't help but smirk as he mocked the mother's response "Well, ME,", and then he pointed out an obvious fact. "The town wouldn't trust my handsome self to save you if I wasn't capable of it, right?"

The daughter seemed confident in Chase's ability to help them, despite his smirk. She then insisted upon it when the carriage shook a little. "Maybe we should accept his help mother. He kind of reminds me like Claw back in Barkingburg."

"Barkingburg?" Chase spoke up with a surprised look, and then he gave a cheerful look as he spoke up some more about the place. "My girlfriend's always wanted to go there! Skye would love a birthday trip there."

"I'll tell you what. You save us, and you'll have a free trip there on my wish."

"You got it. Just let me find where we can drop your ladder."

Chase rose up on his grappling hook and observed for the best place to drop the ladder. Once he seemed confident in where to land it, he called Marshall, knowing he would be ready. "Marshall, the middle looks secure enough! Drop the ladder down here and hold it steady!"

"I'm fired up!" Marshall barked for his portable ladder, and it jumped out of his fire truck, since it was from a distance. Marshall jumped up as it slid over to him after landing on the ground, picking it up and doing his best to set it down gently. He also laughed a bit as he commented on that entrance. "Yeah... I didn't think the catapult thing through."

Chase laughed a bit, and once the ladder was set in stable place, he descended to the family, and he spoke up about the situation. "Okay. The ladder's secure. I'll help the three of you up to it now."

"Before we do... is there anything more unprofessional about you than your age?" Chase smirked, and he grunted as on cue he...

BRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUP

...ripped a loud and nasty five second fart onto a flying bird that came nearby with his face crunching and his butt vibrating as the green cloud of rotten meat left his body. The bird died upon impact and fell down to Zuma's hovercraft, startling him as it fell right next to him on his seat. When he saw it was a bird, he realized what'd happened upon the smell alone and laughed. Once his point was made, Chase helped up the daughter, and then the father, and then the disgusted mother, who called him out on his actions. "How can your girlfeidn date someone who's so disgusting!?"

"Ya gotta take the good with the bad; there's no in between with romance." Chase reminded the queen, and then he whiffed his fart a bit once the mother started going up. "Wow; that meatball sub sure back fast."

Marshall had also caught a whiff of Chase's gas with Chase rising up as the Dalmatian commented on it while covering his nose. "Let me guess. Skeptical adult who didn't buy that you were a rescue dog, so you farted and ended up killing a bird."

"Pretty much, yeah." Chase responded proudly, and then he flinched upon the mention of killing another bird. "Wait. I farted on a bird again?" Marshall nodded his head yes, and Chase saw his smile, making him relieved that he didn't kill Marshall's gosling friend Fuzzy.

Once the family were all safe and accounted for, Ryder was speaking to them as the Princess thanked him for the rescue. "I speak for my whole family when we express how grateful we are for saving us. It's a good thing Adrian was able to jump out in time to call you."

The father was surprised to find that her daughter knew Ryder and asked about it. "You know this boy Caiomhe?"

"Just by reputation." Caiomhe revealed, and then she told Ryder who she and her family were. "We happen to be the royal family of Barkingburg. And since I'm a girl of my word..." Ciaomhe gave a cheerful smile as she handed Ryder the certificate as Flare, Chase, and Marshall walked on over. "Your German Shepherd just earned all of you a trip to that city."

Chase was surprised, and a little scared, at the fact that he would be going too. At first, he thought it would just be a trip for Skye. Then again, now that he'd thought about it more, she'd most likely want him to come. He didn't want to be rude though, and thankfully, Flare's excitement covered up his concerned look. "Barkingburg!? That's in a different country! Does that mean I'll get to see a different part of the world!?"

"You bet it does buddy!" Marshall responded, rubbing his brother's head with Flare cheering excitedly while talking about how awesome this was gonna be.

"Thanks Caiomhe." Ryder chimed in for himself and for the three pups next to him. "Well pups, looks like we're going to Barkingburg for a vacation!" Flare and Marshall were excited for this, and Chase put on an excited look to hide his anxious thoughts about how he'd handle this. He just hoped he could handle it well enough to give Skye a good birthday. After all, she went all out for HIS last birthday. What kind of boyfriend would he be to ruin hers?

Back at the lookout, Ryder was telling the pups about how Chase got them all a trip to Barkingburg. Skye was visibly excited as Ryder told them about it, and Chase could tell. That made him feel even worse about how this could go down if he messed it up. "And the Princess, Caiomhe, gave us a certificate for all of us to go. (Inspects the certificate) I asked how many before we left, and as far as I can see, the certificate is real."

Skye squeed loudly, catching everyone's attention. This caused her to giggle a bit before she explained why. "Sorry. It's just that Barkingburg is one of the places in the world I've wanted to visit the most! And what are the odds that we'd save the royal family!?"

Snow was sitting next to Skye, and she couldn't help smiling as she pointed out how fitting this was for her. "And right before your birthday too. Good thing you have someone like Chase looking out for you."

Chase did his best to hide his nerves as Skye responded gleefully to that statement. "You're right about that Snow." Skye then hugged Chase, which eased his worries a bit and made him feel warmer as he felt her warm touch. Somehow, Chase's anxiety felt easier to handle with her around. "Thank you so much Chase! You're the bestest boyfriend in the entire world!"

Chase wrapped her arms around Skye, glad that he was able to make her happy. "You can always count on me Skye. I'll never let your birthdays go to waste." Chase and Skye nuzzled each other gently, but Marshall couldn't help but feel something was wrong. He could sense that Chase was worried about something, and he'd hoped it wouldn't bring him that much trouble to ask about it later when he could.

Skye couldn't help talking about how her folks would react to such exciting news when letting go of Chase. "Just imagine how my family will react when I tell them I'm going to Barkingburg! I might have to send them screenshots just to prove it!"

"Can I be in one?" Flare asked, and Skye nodded her head yes happily, leaving Flare to pump his fist as he then told Skye he'd be ready to do his best when posing for the photo. "Just wait until you see my London pose. It's gonna fit the royal Kingdom perfectly!" Flare then started showing off his posing skills for everyone, making his friends laugh as Skye fantasized about how great this trip was going to be. Chase only hoped that he would be able to get through it all for her.

The next day, everyone was packing their stuff for their vacation to go to Barkingburg for Skye's birthday tomorrow. "Really good thing the Paw Patroller has a flying mode Skye. Now we can keep your plane safe when we go on vacation." Skye and Snow were talking about the trip as Snow joked about how much Skye was gonna gawk over everything they had in sight. "I bet as soon as we get there, you're gonna try and copy the call of a starling bird or something."

"I'm gonna do more than just mimic bird calls Snow." Skye assured Snow, knowing that Barkingburg had much more to offer than that. "One of my hopes is that we can actually go inside the castle of Barkingburg and check it out. They have to have lots of stuff to do in there, seeing as it's the Barkingburg landmark."

Snow put her bag in the trunk of the Paw Patroller as she thought about what she was going to do there. "Let's hope I'll be able to find more than crowds to get trapped in and heights I can use to trick others into looking down." The mention of crowds hit Chase's nerves, since he was putting his stuff in nearby. "I've never been to a big city before."

"Neither have I. That's why it's so exciting!" Skye exclaimed, unable to contain her excitement over going to Barkingburg. "It's a first time experience for both of us!"

Marshall got Chase's attention as Skye and Snow continued talking and signaled him to move somewhere more private. He obliged, and as they walked away from the others, Marshall was quick to start talking. "I know you haven't been saying anything to avoid disappointing Skye. I was hoping you wouldn't mind talking about it with me."

Chase gulped, hoping that Marshall wouldn't say anything as he gave a look of obvious anxiety. "I am, but you have to promise me that you'll at least try not to say anything to Skye."

Marshall flinched when he saw where this was going, putting his paws up defensively as he informed Chase of another flaw he had. "I-I-I'm not the best with secrets Chase. You saw how I just blurted out to my mom and sister that Zuma's parents used to be criminals."

"Your mom is the sweetest lady in the world Marshall." Chase reminded Marshall with a slight laugh, knowing that there was a lack of pressure there. "You probably knew deep down that she wouldn't judge someone for their past if they learned from it."

Marshall couldn't argue with that, so he decided to just tell Chase that he'd try. That's all he asked for anyway. It's not like he'd be mad at him for revealing it. "Yeah, you got me there. Fine. I'll try to keep it. But I can't promise I'll be able to for the whole trip if the pressure gets too high."

"Trying is all I ask." Chase assured Marshall, and the two gave their signature handshake before Chase sighed and revealed why he was so anxious about the trip. "I'm afraid of cities. And I do not, work well, in large crowds. Especially not on my own." Marshall knew exactly why that was, letting Chase finish what he had to say. "When I got that birthday trip for Skye, I at first thought it was gonna be a trip just for her. I, of course, made my call blindly, not even considering the possibility that she'd want all of us to go with her. Or that Caiomhe would have it be that."

Chase then realized what he finished with and made it clear that he didn't blame Caiomhe. "This isn't her fault by the way. She was just being nice. You saw that point blank."

Marshall nodded in response to that last one, and then he asked why Chase felt the need to lie about this. "I think Skye would understand if you told her Chase. Why not just tell her the truth?"

"That's just it Marshall. She might cancel the trip for me if I do." Chase expressed great remorse for what he was doing. Luckily, his next words revealed that he planned to tell Skye period. Just not yet. "I'll tell Skye everything after the trip. I just don't wanna ruin her birthday." Chase then brought up his birthday from two months and a half ago to further prove his point. "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I did that to Skye after she gave me an all out birthday bash?"

Marshall saw Chase's point, and he hoped that he would be able to help him with it. He didn't like how Chase was handling this, but he was glad he at least wanted to tell Skye when he felt it was right. "Just remember that you can talk to me any time during the trip if you want. I'll be ready any time you need me for emotional support." Chase smiled with gratitude in response to that, and he and Marshall nodded to each other before heading back to each others. Marshall hoped he would be able to help Chase, even if he ended up blurting out his secret to Skye.

As the pups were heading to Barkingburg in the Paw Patroller, Flare was getting antsy as he waited for them to arrive. As he looked out the window again, he whined asking a seemingly recurring question that was starting to get on the nerves of some of his friends. "Are we there yet?"

Rocky was the first to speak up, groaning in annoyance as he called Flare out on how many times he's asked that question. "For the sixth time Flare, no! We're not there yet! Could you please stop asking that same question now?"

Flare then complained as he sat back down and expressed how much he wanted to get to Barkingburg. "But I'm sooooo boooooored!" Marshall started looking for his bag, knowing he had just the thing to entertain Flare. "There's so much cool stuff waiting for me in Barkingburg and I can't do any of it yet."

"And that's why out of everything Ryder had to leave out of this vehicle..." Snow began, having been sitting next to Flare the whole flight and hoping things would start to speed up soon. "it just had to be games. Because then the trip gets ten times as annoying."

"Don't worry Snow. I've got this." Marshall handed Flare his portable game system, but before he let go of it, he reminded Flare of what he had to do when using it during a road trip. "Remember Flare. Don't smash this thing if you get too angry, and make sure to save it and take a break if you start to feel nauseous."

Flare nodded his head yes and happily accepted his game system, glad he had something to entertain himself now. "Thanks Marshall!"

Snow gave a sigh of relief as she then became curious to try the game Flare was playing. It looked like he was playing a game that had resource management in it, and that was certainly Snow's kind of game. "Can I give it a go?"

"Sure. Just let me finish this level I just started." Flare answered happily. Everest then offered Marshall a hi five, which he happily accepted. She wasn't as annoyed by Flare's whining as some of the others were, but she was still glad to see him more happy than moody.

Later that night, everyone was sleeping with the Paw Patroller on auto pilot with Chase seemingly having a nightmare. As he tossed and turned, he awoke from his nightmare and got out of bed. He failed to notice that Skye woke up upon the sight of him waking up, heading over to Ryder up in the front of the Paw Patroller. He nudged Ryder gently, and Ryder woke up and saw his scared look. "Hey buddy. Nightmare?" Chase nodded his head yes and hopped into Ryder's bed after he patted a spot for him to lie down. "We're almost there Chase. It'll be okay."

Chase smiled as Ryder comforted him, knowing that he had to at least try so Skye could have the best birthday ever. Skye felt there was something else going on however. The energy from Chase's fear felt different than when she usually saw him having a nightmare. She didn't know why, but it felt like his fear was even closer to him than it usually was. Could it have something to do with the trip to Barkingburg? All Skye could do was ask and hope Chase was okay with talking about it.

The next morning, Skye was sound asleep in her blanket, and the Paw Patroller was heard landing as she let out a sleeping bark. Once the team officially landed, Zuma nudged Skye after walking up to her to get her to wake up. "Wake up Skye dude." Skye woke up upon hearing Zuma's voice with the Chocolate Labrador joking about how cozy she looked. "Best to not sleep in on your biwthday."

Skye saw Zuma's point and got out of bed, and then Ryder pressed the button that opened up the back of the Paw Patroller. "Happy birthday Skye!"

When the entrance of Barkingburg was revealed to Skye, she was amazed. It was as big as she'd expected it to be, and it looked so grand and festive. The people there also looked incredibly friendly, just like the people in Adventure Bay. The only difference she could find is their attire. Some of them looked a lot fancier than the residents back home. Everyone else was impressed by the size, and Chase gulped when he observed it. He only hoped he could get through this for Skye's sake. 'Of course Barkingburg is a big city. I did not think this through!'

Skye quickly sensed that Chase was feeling tense and hoped it wasn't anything serious. "Are you okay Chase?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Chase lied, not wanting Skye to find out about his fear of cities too soon. Skye felt Chase was hiding something, but Chase reacted so quickly that she couldn't ask about it. "Come on. Let's go enjoy your birthday. Maybe you can even meet Caiomhe."

Skye decided not to pressure Chase in front of everyone, and instead the group started looking around the city with Flare being amazed by how big it was. "This is the biggest place I've ever been to!" Little did he know that his words were unintentionally making Chase struggle slightly harder to hide his anxiety. "They have to have all kinds of stuff to do around here!"

Chase was worried he was about to start panting, and the group heard screaming nearby with Snow commenting on it. "Guess no place in the world is crime free."

The Paw Patrol rushed on over to see what it was, and a thief had just taken a woman's basket of goods. "No, please! Those are for my customers!"

"Too bad lady! I have to eat somehow!" The thief retorted, and then he ran off, only for the voice of a nearby knight being heard as Chase reached for his tazer.

"So it's food you're after, huh!?"

The Paw Patrol looked up and saw a Doberman, about Marshall and Everest's age, wearing the armor of a knight and holding a confident smile. Zuma seemed to know the Doberman and smiled upon seeing him. The Doberman jumped down to the cowering thief, grabbing the hot buns as he barked for his pup pack to do it's thing. He groaned when it started bugging out again. "Why do I keep using this hunk of junk?" The Doberman handed the lady her basket of goods and decided to use an alternative, smirking back at the thief as he released...

PFFFFFFFFFFT

...a ripe and loud five second fart into his face, knocking him out with the green cloud of spoiled meat before grinning proudly. The woman thanked him for his efforts, despite the smelly outcome it had. "Thank you Claw. As always, you dive in right on cue."

Claw nodded with a proud smile as he then picked the thief up to turn him in, and as he turned to the castle, he noticed a familiar sight. It was in fact, the Chocolate Labrador who recognized him too. Before he arrested the thief officially, he called out to Zuma with joy. "Zuma!?"

Zuma was glad to see that Claw had in fact recognized him as well, running on over to him as he confirmed it was him. "As alive and calm as the ocean!" Zuma hugged Claw, and the two embraced for a few seconds as Zuma then expressed regret for the way he left. "I'm sowwy I left the way I did. I just couldn't stand living at the owphanage anymore." Claw felt that. Zuma was super miserable there. "It didn't feel wight waiting for my new home to come to me. And the only good pawt about it was you."

"All that matters is that we both found happy lives in the end." Claw rubbed Zuma's head as he pointed out how good of a life Zuma seemed to have. "I'm more focused on how we both managed to bounce back! I'd recognize some of the pups you're with any day of the week."

The rest of the Paw Patrol came over to Claw and Zuma as Rocky pointed something out about Claw's attire. "If I could take a guess from your attire Claw, I'd say you're a royal knight for the family of Barkingburg."

"Jackpot!" Claw responded, glad to see that even outsiders to Barkingburg could figure out his status. He then expressed heavy gratitude to Chase and Marshall when he looked at them. "You two must be Chase and Marshall. Caiomhe told me you two saved her from that bridge. You have no idea how much that means to me."

Chase felt a little easier upon seeing the friendly face that was Claw, and Marshall could tell. The two best friends happily responded in sync to this. "It was our pleasure!"

Marshall then, of course, came up with another one of his corny puns. "Between ignoring someone and saving them, we'd pick the ladder any day."

Everest couldn't help but snort upon hearing Marshall's pun with the others calling him out on it. "Marshall!"

The other pups then laughed a bit with Claw then making them an offer. "Caiomhe would be more than happy to see you guys at the castle. I can take you there if you want." Skye gasped in awe upon the thought of being at the Barkingburg castle. The anticipation of it was too much for her to take. She ended up fainting out of joy, leaving Snow to catch her as Claw asked about it. "Um... is the Cockapoo gonna be okay?"

"Yeah, I think she just got a little royally large package of excitement." Marshall quipped, leading to a smiling eye roll from Chase.

As Marshall laughed a bit from that pun, Rocky quickly stepped next to him with a "Whomp whomp whomp!", and then the three laughed as Claw started leading them to the castle.

On the way there, Claw and Zuma also took the time to try and catch up. "Dude, it's been like, what, five yeaws? You must've had a lot happen to you in that time."

The Barkingburg castle was revealed in all of it's glory, revealing itself to be a large, light gray building with many different rooms, all with their own distinct purposes. The pups and Claw were currently in the hallway, and he was currently leading them to Caiomhe's room. "Here it is everyone. The room of the two most fun residents in Barkingburg! Well, besides yours truly of course." Claw opened up the room and proudly announced to Caiomhe that the Paw Patrol were there. "Caiomhe; Sweetie; we have visitors!"

Caiomhe and a West Highland White Terrier, who was presumably Sweetie, looked to where Claw was as Caiomhe finished grooming Sweetie's fur. Caiomhe was excited to see the Paw Patrol, having hoped that they would take her up on her offer. "You came!"

"Of course!" Flare spoke up, knowing that Caiomhe would've wanted that the most out of them. "It's not every day you get a free invitation to a place like Barkingburg."

Claw then introduced Sweetie to the Paw Patrol once he remembered they hadn't met her yet. "Everyone, that's my step-sister, Sweetie. She can be kind of a royal pain in the butt, and is nowhere near as hot as me..." Sweetie gagged in response to Claw's boasting, leaving Claw to smile lovingly as he finished what he had to say. "But I'll still kill you if you try to hurt her."

Sweetie observed the Paw Patrol after hopping down from the bed and commented on the way they got this invitation. "So you're the ones who saved my loving owner? As grateful as I am, I hope you don't expect me to start worshiping you like Caiomhe does."

"Don't worry. We're not here for fame." Marshall assured Sweetie humbly, which made her start to act more pleasant around them.

"That's good. And like I said, I AM grateful for the rescue you did for Caiomhe and her parents." Sweetie assured the team, and then she walked up to Claw in the hopes that he could help her with something. "Claw, if you don't mind, now that I'm fully groomed, I need you to help me get into my black suit with the pink and white trim." Claw seemed a little confused by this, making Sweetie sigh in annoyance as she gave him more details. "The one that shows off my butt."

Claw gained a look of realization thanks to that, and Ryder made a suggestion to the pups. "Well pups, while that's being taken care of, what do you say we all look around the castle? (Looks at Caiomhe) If that's okay with you, of course."

"I wouldn't invite you here if it wasn't." Caiomhe reminded Ryder, and the pups all cheered with excitement, except for Chase, who did his best to match said excitement. Ryder then kneeled down to him with a smile, letting him know with a friendly shoulder rub to come to him when he needed to talk. Chase nodded in response to that, and felt safer about getting through the day.

Outside the castle, Charm was revealed to be sneaking around while wearing some kind of magnetic boots that helped him walk freely. He peeked into the bedroom of Claw, Sweetie, and Caiomhe, watching as Caiomhe and Claw helped Sweetie get into her suit as Sweetie was shown to be struggling with something. Claw was quick to joke about it. "It's not healthy to hold em in Sweetie."

"Shut up Claw." Sweetie shot back, knowing she was expected to look more lady like than Claw. "You may be comfortable with it, but step siblings or not, we'll never have THAT in common."

Caiomhe giggled a bit, knowing that this could get out of hand if she didn't step in. "Come on you two, no arguing. We don't want a risk of someone else learning about the violation of the D-R-A-G-O-N rule." Charm showed glee when he heard that. So the crime against Barkingburg's rules WAS true! He looked to where some dragons were and turned on his stealth gear, being ready for if a dragon were to come by to greet one of the three royal members in the room he peeked in.

Flare was looking around the Barkingburg castle hallway with Marshall, Chase, and Skye, being as amazed as Skye by how it all looked. Flare was quick to point it all out as he looked at Skye. "I can see why you've always wanted to come here Skye. And that's not just because I've always wanted to see the world."

"It's amazing, right? And this is just the hallway!" Skye replied gleefully, and then Claw was heard calling over to them from nearby.

"Hey; wait up!" Claw ran over to the four pups, only to trip over his own front paws and roll a bit "Whooooa!", and then he slid on over to them, landing in front of Chase, who'd turned around just in time to give him a sly grin. Claw scoffed and stood up after wiping his chest armor off. He then got to the point. "I wanted to get to know the pups who saved my owner. Mind if I join you?"

Chase looked to Skye, who nodded her head yes with Chase being happy to see that. "Knock yourself out. Any friend of Zuma's is a friend of ours."

Claw was glad to hear that with Marshall speaking up as they continued down the hallway. "We're also learning quite a bit about you today Claw. Actually, you have a bit in common with me!"

Claw smiled when he heard that, glad he could relate to the common folk. Just then, a voice from nearby caught his attention and made him flinch. "Hey; Claw!" Claw looked to find that a familiar yellow dragon was nearby, and when he noticed Flare, he had to point it out. "You know Flare too!?" Claw gulped when the others saw that Sunshine was there. Now he knew the D-R-A-G-O-N rule violation was gonna come out. He'd only hoped he would at least be able to keep in touch with Caiomhe and Sweetie after things got out to the public.

To be continued.

Rock music played as Skye started speaking in regards to what was going to happen in the next part of the season two premiere with specific moments being shown. "I can just feel it Snow. Chase is clearly anxious about something, but I can't get him to talk. And why is Marshall acting so weird? He starts sweating whenever I get near him. Wait a minute. Maybe HE knows why Chase is acting so weird? Marshall, please tell me what's wrong. I want to know if I can help Chase and he's not telling me anything!"
